Chapter 1: The Starter
Pallet Town
Ash's P.O.V
In the town of Pallet, a boy was in his room staying up watching the Pokemon battle between Lance and Agatha that he recorded trying to learn all he can from the battle. Then there's a knock on his door and his mom comes in "Ash what are you doing still up at this hour you need to sleep if you're going to get yourself a Pokemon tomorrow! Now go to bed!" scolded Ash's mom Delia. "Yes mom I will after this I am trying to learn all I can about strategy." replied Ash.
"Oh, alright then but after straight to bed young man!" said Delia she then closed the door and went back to her room. Ash loved his mom he really did it's just he really wants to memorize the strategies used by Lance and Agatha so he's paying a lot of attention to this match. Before he knew it the time was midnight and he just now got to sleep hoping he'll still be able to get a Pokemon for himself.
Next Morning 8:30 AM
Gary Oak's P.O.V
"Ha, looks like that loser Ash isn't coming after all he knows he can't beat me anyway maybe he's finally starting up." said a very arrogant kid named Gary Oak outside his grandfather's lab his grandfather is Professor Oak a former Indigo League champion turned professor. "That's not nice to say about him Gary." scolded Leaf one of Ash's only friends she really hated how he treated Ash. "Yeah, seriously stop being such a jerk man." commented Nick much like Leaf he was a very close friend to Ash and hated how Gary treated his friend.
"I'm here!" exclaimed Ash as he finally arrived 10 minutes later. "Well you finally showed up. how about a battle after we get our pokemon loser?" said Gary rather rudely.
Ash's P.O.V
"You're on Gary I really hate how you treat me and this time I'll pummel you and you're pokemon into the dirt to prove you should stop being mean to me!" said Ash angerily. He then noticed Leaf and Nick. "Hey guys, how you guys doing?" asked Ash to Leaf and Nick with a smile. "We're good Ash nice to see you. When we get our Pokemon want to travel together?" asked Leaf she really didn't want to go alone and taking both of her friends with her would be a nice change in pace as she was very nervous around people when alone. "Sure, I'd love to go with you and Nick." replied Ash.
Just then the doors swung open and Professor Oak greeted everyone. "Hello kids, you ready to get your first Pokemon?" asked the professor rather cheerily. "Yeah;" they all shouted making him laugh "Alright then, come on in and we'll get sorted with ya! Oh, by the way Ash you're dad Lance is here." said the Professor. "Wait, he is?!" asked Ash excitedly he still remembers all the lessons he gave him growing up whenever he was around and he learned a lot about taking care of dragon type Pokemon.
"Indeed he is, he's in the room with the Pokemon as we speak since you're birthday is coming up he and you're mom got you two very special gifts as well as a plathora of other things." replied Professir Oak. Awesome! I can only imagine what he got me! though Ash excitedly. They walked into the room with the Pokemon and he saw his dad Lance the dragon master of the Elite Four. "Hey Dad!" exclaimed a happy Ash he was very happy to see his Dad again.
"Hey Son, you just need to wait for you all to pick your starters then I'll give you your gifts." said Lance to Ash. "Alright I can't wait!" said Ash making Lance and Professor Oak to laugh. He then refocused on the table and saw only three pokeballs and that's when he noticed something was wrong so he brought it up. "Hey umm, Professor Oak there's four of us and only three Pokemon. Do you not have enough for all of us?" asked Ash worriedly. the professor took a few moments to notice and then realized his error and said "Oh my bad! Looks like someone's going to have to wait till last to get they're Pokemon sorry about that." apologized Professor Oak as he looked at em.
Ash looked at the other kids and saw none of them wanted to go last so he said with a sigh "I'll go last Professor." said Ash sadly. The professor looked at him and said "Alright, thank you for accepting this and sorry about the wait you'll have." apologized the Professor again. "No worries at all." said Ash sadly.
"We'll wait at the gate for you ok?" said Leaf as she hugged him and kissed his cheek unknown to Ash Leaf actually have a crush on Ash and she's been busy trying to get him to notice. After she kissed his cheek she noticed for the first time Ash was blushing by her actions that's good means he's feeling something about her just nervous to tell her. Lance seeing this smiled and remembered when he and Delia first met it wasn't much better but she didn't have such a weird name either though. he thrn chuckled to himself about the name of the girl.
"You can go first Leaf." said Gary and she nodded walked up and thought "Don't take too long we all know which one you're going to pick since you're name is Leaf your obviously picking Bulbasaur." said Gary she glared but nonetheless picked Bulbasaur indeed. "I can't help it Bulbasaur has always called to me for my starter they're so versatile and powerful. said Leaf. Nick went next "I'll pick Charmander." he said and picked it up while sending apologetic glances at Ash since he knew he wanted Charmander. "Then that leaves this one for me so I pick Squirtle it better be strong." said Gary.
"Alright, since you three picked your Pokemon there's one more thing I need to give you all" said Professor Oak as he walked to a different table with a bag on it and grabbed 4 pokedex's and handed them. "These are Pokedex's they will act as you're identification as well as your dictationary for all the Pokemon you run into and the moves Pokemon can learn with detailed instructions on how to teach them to your Pokemon." said Professor Oak. He then handed out 5 pokeballs to all the kids and they all left with Leaf saying she and Nick will be at the gate waiting for him.
"Now then Ash, you're turn please wait here I'll go catch a Pokemon for you." said Professor Oak. "Alright Professor." said Ash. as he walked away Lance come forward. "Alright son, you ready for your gifts?" asked Lance with a smile. Ash looked at him and nodded. "I definitely am!" said Ash excitedly. Lance laughed at his enthusiasm. "That's the spirit, now I want you to know I am very proud of you for willingy loosing the chance at a starter of the first 3 Pokemon." said Lance as he pulled out 2 Pokeballs from his bag and gave them to Ash. "What's in them?" asked Ash. "Open them and find out." said Lance as he waited for him to open them. Ash shrugged took the first one and gently tapped the release button. What came out he did not expect it was a small blue and white Pokemon with no legs no arms just a tail for a body and a head. "What is it?" asked Ash cluelessly. "Use your Pokedex and find out." said Lance amused at his obliviness. Ash shrugged and did as he said.

Gender: Female
Special Ability: Rough Body
Egg Moves: Dragon Rush, Dragon Tail
Moves: Dragon Pulse, Dragon Dance, Leer, Growl, Tail Whip, Protect, Headbutt

"Wow a Dratini!" said Ash happily. "Yep, she's the child of my Dragonite take good care of her Ash." said Lance. "Of course I will! Hey Dratini do you want a nickname?" asked Ash. Dratini tilted her head in thought for a few seconds before making a shrill noise and nodding. "Excellent! How about, Tsuki?" asked Ash. The Dratini made a happy Shrill and nodded loving the name Tsuki. making Ash happy he then remembered his second Pokemon and released it. What came out was a prehistoric looking pokemon with a big head with a lot of sharp teeth a body the size of a table and two wings also the size of a table he looked confused at it and used the Pokedex to learn about it.
Pokemon: Aerodactyl
Gender: Female
Special Ability: Moxie
Egg Moves: Hyper Beam, Super Sonic, Wing Attack
Current Moves: Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rush, Flamethrower, Fly, Dragon Tail, Dragon Dance, Tailwind.

"Wow, a Aerodactyl too. this is so cool!" said Ash happily. Making Lance happy his son is loving his first few Pokemon. "She was also breed from my main team Ash so take good care of her as well." said Lance and Ash nodded. "Do you want a name?" asked Ash. The Aerodactyl thought about it then nodded. "Alright, by the way I'm Ash and this is Tsuki." Ash said as he gestured to the Dratini and Tsuki made a shrill noise of greeting. "Now how about, Hana?" asked Ash and the Aerodactyl nodded loving the name making Ash smile and he recalled his Pokemon and put them on his belt. "Thanks Dad I love them already!" exclaimed Ash smiling making Lance smile too.
Professor Oak then came back with a Pokeball in his hand. "Now Ash, I found you a starter it's a Eevee the Evolution Pokemon you do know how to take care of Pokemon other than dragons right?" asked Professor Oak making Lance sweatdrop. "Yes, I do dad might not have taught me much about normal types but mom did." said Ash and Professor Oak nodded and released Eevee from it's pokeball. It looked up at Ash and tilted it's head curiously. Ash pointed his pokedex at it and scanned the Eevee.

Gender: Female
Special Ability: Adaptability
Moves: Tackle, Growl, Baby Doll Eyes, Last Resort, Baton Pass, Stored Power, Substitute.

"Wow, she's strong isn't she?" asked Ash. "Indeed I didn't think she be this strong already" said Professor Oak. "So, Eevee do you want a nickname?" asked Ash Eever considered it for a moment then nodded. "Alright how about, Eve? asked Ash and Eevee nodded at the cute name making Ash smile and put her back in her pokeball.
Well, that's the end of the first Chapter. Hope you liked it this is my first Pokemon fanfic I would continue my Naruto fic but I'm nervous about the battle scene I'm sorry. anyway please leave any ideas on how I can improve my story in the reviews and the poll on if Ash should catch any pokemon other than dragon types is up as well I will be checking them all so don't worry.
