I decided to edit, and fix these chapters up. They're a bit longer now, and yes I'm alive, lol.
Ten years have passed since Eggman was defeated and there has been peace on Mobius ever since. Tails is now twenty-one years old, he's also the most successful engineer on Mobius. He owns his own private engineering company selling his projects to companies for profit. Everything from war tech and company security tech to home appliances. He's now rich and owns much stock, he lives in a large three-story mansion, on the edge of Station Square. At this moment he laid under a giant robot, his latest invention. Clinking and banging came from where he worked, he grunted as he worked, and smoke came out from under it as he messed and played around with the contraption. Then there was an explosion and more smoke, followed by intense coughing and hacking.
"Damn it!" He cried out in anger. He did his best to fix it but was having a hard time doing so with all the smoke blocking his vision.
T-pup began barking in concern, the smoke covered Tails from sight. And started to fill the entire room with smoke.
Tails rolled out from under the machine on a creeper coughing. "It's worse than I thought." His face was black from smoke clinging to his face and was sweating. He ran over to the fire extinguisher which was on the other side of the room.
He ran back to the fire, got on hands and knees and sprayed it under the machine. A hissing sound came from below and the smoke still came out, but apparently the fire was done because Tails was calm. Tails sighed in frustration. "I need to have the fire extinguisher closer to me." He said wiping his face with a filthy gloved hand.
"I'll say." A feminine voice that was all too familiar came from behind him.
Tails turned around and his eyes widened in shock, he was looking at the face he feared was owned by the voice. "What are you doing here Fiona?" He asked, bitterness in his voice" Fiona stood there. She was older. No longer a teen but a grown woman, her hair was longer, down to her mid back, and she wore a revealing two piece outfit identical in color to her old one she wore in the freedom fighters.
She gave him a sultry smile. "Well hello to you too. I thought you'd be a bit more surprised to see me." She said, her hands on her hips and posed a little like a model, with her looks she could pass for one.
"Oh I'm surprised. Surprised you're not behind bars, Why aren't you in prison?" He asked harshly.
"I escaped of course, how else?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"And how exactly did you do that?" He asked just as harshly.
"Don't worry about it", she looked him up and down, a satisfied smile on her face, you've grown. "I like it, you became pretty hot Tails."
Tails blushed at this, he didn't know about hot, but grown was a definite yes. He was taller than her now, and he had filled out with muscle, his balls dropped, a deeper voice resounded through the halls of his garage as he talked to her. As a kid he would have given anything to hear those words from her, now it was bittersweet. He clenched his fists, "why are you here?"
"I work for the irs", she stated, a cold look in her eyes.
"R-really? I swear I-"
She laughed at this, "you idiot, I was kidding, I just wanted to come by and say hi. It's been years since I've seen you!"
"Well you've outstayed your welcome, get out." He said coldly, pointing towards the door. "Wait, how did you even get in here?"
"Don't worry about that, Tails, I changed, I also came to say I'm sorry." She said, her smile gone and a guilty look on her face, "I was a jerk and did a lot of stupid things. "I was young, and dumb...and I was scared. And I'm sorry for hurting you." She said, sounding genuinely remorseful.
Tails stared at her, surprised by how sincere she seemed. "Where's the Scourge?"
"Dumped him, I matured and realized he was bad news. When I tell you I changed I'm not kidding. Please Tails, I only want forgiveness."
He sighed. "Fine, I forgive you, but you still need to leave, I don't want anything to do with you."
"Okay, but I have a present for you Tails."
"I'm good." He said holding up a hand to her.
"Come on, you'll like it, I swear, then I'll leave, for now."
"What do you mean for now?"
"Exactly what I said, I'll be back to give you more company."
"No."
"How ya gonna stop me, you don't even know how I'm getting in,'' she said smugly."
"Fine, just give it to me." He said impatiently.
"Close your eyes."
He closed then, deciding to humor her. He held his hands out and felt a body brush against them- Tails opened his eyes to find Fiona right in his face, before he could react her lips were pressed to his, his eyes widened in shock as he froze. She pulled away smiling, "I wasn't kidding when I said you've gotten pretty hot. Also, you're cute when you blush", she said with a smirk as she casually walked off. "See you later, big man. Oh and one more thing", she said, stopping in the doorway.
"What?!"He yelled angrily, still blushing from the kiss.
"Love the mansion, very cozy looking." She said winking before walking out.
He rubbed the back of his head blushing, "dang it, I need better taste in women…."
