But I wanted to do a different take on it. Hope you like this crossover FeralG3, I don't own Game of Thrones/ A song of Ice and Fire or For Honor.
Apollyon, Blackstone Fortress POV
Running the blade through the guts of a traitor Warden as he screams in agony with a long sword going through his stomach, Apollyon grabbed the Warden by the neck and pulled the blade out with a swing. He falls to the ground with a large amount of blood. Spinning around to hit another sword from another traitor Warden as he hesitates, hoping for the swing to kill Apollyon grab her sword by the blade and push though.
Hitting his helmet with the hilt of the blades the traitor gets knocked to the side as Apollyon drives the sword though this back as he gasps with blood in his throat, then Apollyon swings his body aside. Using her strength to swing her blade out of his body to fight another Warden, the force of her sword made him stagger with her might. As he flew on the ground as Apollyon blocked another swing from another Warden.
Pushing his blade aside she grabs the down Wander by his helmet and puts him between her and the recovered Warden swing, killing the one she is holding. This blade gets stuck in the dead man's body and she swings my sword at his neck. Giving the killing blow Apollyon sheathed her blade to face the next invader.
"Finally" Apollyon announced seeing the Samurai in front of me.
"The Dawn Empire have arrived," she said as the Emperor's champion stood before her.
"Yield. Face justice" The samurai demanded as Apollyon looked at her.
"I'll pass," She said as the Emperor's champion drew her blade.
The Samurai charge at Apollyon as only for Apollyon to dodge the katana when Apollyon tries to slash at the samurai and parries the sword with her katana. Using the parry the samurai swipe her shoulder as Apollyon grunts but is too stubborn to let it down her as Apollyon grabs her sword like a hammer and hit the chest of the samurai, causing her to grunt in pain but keeps standing at she tries to cut down Apollyon.
Only for her to block the katana and Apollyon hit the samurai in the face with the bottom of her sword. The hit sends the samurai on her back as debry starts falling around them from the catapult still shooting at the castle. Causing Apollyon to retreat from the falling stone and stop her assault on the down samurai.
The samurai tries to recover but quickly run out of the room as both debry and catapult launch rock after rock at the front causing the samurai to run up to catch up to Apollyon. She gets to the stair finding Apollyon up there waiting for her.
"Come" Apollyon said, taking her sword from her shoulder.
"Her skill was greater than mine. I would have to exceed myself." The samurai thought to herself as Apollyon charged.
The high ground gives Apollyon a slight advantage as the samurai was forced to parry and gourd from each strike. As Apollyon was about to hit a vital area the samurai has broken her guard and stun her as the samurai start to take the offensive.
"I will defeat you" She yelled as she slashes at Apollyon as she goes up the stairs to avoid the katana.
The samurai swings her katana as Apollyon keeps dodging left and right as the castle keeps falling apart all around him. Apollyon used her sword to push her into a wall as the castle kept crumbling around her. As Apollyon walks backwards as the samurai recovers as both she and Apollyon clash again.
Apollyon backhanded her as the samurai ducks under her fist as the samurai aims for her head as she spins under the katana to walk outside the crumbling ceiling. Apollyon holds her sword on her shoulders as the samurai walks out of the crumbling castles.
"Death waits for us all. A warrior is someone who does not let that stop them from doing what must be done." Apollyon stated as both women got ready for the final fight.
"Come warrior" Apollyon challenges the samurai as they both draw their weapons.
"It would be the end" both warriors charged, clashing blades.
Apollyon charged and slash as the samurai dodged and slash as Apollyon blocks and slash. The samurai turns and cuts Apollyon as Apollyon takes the slash but hits the hilt on the samurai face. Stunning her but she recovers quickly and slashes her underside as crumble parts of the castle fall around them.
The samurai sees the fortress crumbling over her and fakes an opening for Apollyon to charge and gets out of the way as rumble down and hits her. The force of the rubble launches her on her back as the force knocks her on the floor. She struggles to get up and grab her sword as she tries to get up. The size and force of the rubble should have killed a normal person, even with armour but Apollyon gets up with only a few fractured bones.
Apollyon tries to stand up but falls back on the stone balcony. She tried to get up but all she could do was hold on to the balcony for support. As the Samurai slowly relaxes her katana to see Apollyon too injured to fight and close to death's final embrace.
"It over" the Samurai relaxes as she slowly puts her katana back.
"We will have peace" She sheaths her katana as she turns around to walk away.
Apollyon looked around wondering but the samurai just said, looking around at what she said.
"Peace?" She said confused as the Samurai turned back to see what she heard.
"So-what happens now?" she slowly gets up as she nearly stumbles.
"You all just- go home?" she said in pain as she nearly falls but stands up as the samurai ready her katana, but Apollyon throws her sword away. Right in the middle of the two factions, as both the Knights and the Samurai eyed each other with suspicious looks.
"You came into my home" Apollyon said as the Warden and Kensei walked forward readying their weapons for battle with their armies behind them also getting ready.
"And you brought your armies." The Warden and Kensei look around and see everyone ready to continue to fight as they both look at each other.
"What do you think would happen?" Both of them walk forward ready to finally end the fighting.
"Peace?" A Viking horn was heard as everyone turned to see the Vikings join in the battle.
"That isn't how the world works" Both the Warden and Kensei looked shocked at the arrival of the Vikings as both the Knights army and the Samurai army cross blades despite the Warden and Kensei trying to stop them.
"Don't speak to me about your virtues" Knights killing Samurai, Viking killing Knights and both the Warden and the Kensei getting ready to join the battle.
"Duty" the Warden and Kensei blades clash.
"Kingship" A Raider chopping down a Knight.
"Honor" A Kensei cutting a Warlord across the torso.
"You forgot what you are" Everyone Knights; Viking and Samurai all fight each other. While Apollyon watches it all.
The Emperor's champion holds her katana ready to finish Apollyon off but stops to think.
"You want war? Only War" She realised Apollyon planned to draw all armies together in one place where they would be forced to fight.
"All I want is for you to admit what you are." Apollyon pulls herself off the balcony to point at the samurai,
"All of you" Apollyon puts her hands out to show all as she makes one final stand to the samurai.
"My wolves" Apollyon's last words, reaching out to her wolf before falling to the ground, finally reaching her goal and getting her wolves to show their true colours as the Emperor champion looks out the remains of the castle to everything burning in the tides of war and death.
Catelyn Stark I, Winterfell POV
"AHHH." Catelyn Stark, formerly of House Tully screamed in pain as she was in the middle of giving birth to her and her husband Ned Stark's first child. She gave another scream of pain ignoring the maester saying to give one more push and when she did she felt a sense of relief as she felt her child leave her.
"It's a girl, my lady." The maester told her with a smile, as she was filled with joy
"Lyarra " she muttered that would
She and Ned had been exchanging letters and had decided to name the child Robb if it was a boy after Neb brother in all but blood Robert and Lyarra if it was a girl after Neb's mother.
"Give her to me." Catelyn commanded and the maester did so and she saw a small patch of dark brown, possibly even black hair on her daughter's head.
"She clearly follows her father,' Catelyn thought as she smiled at her as Lyarra opened her eyes to reveal her Tully blue eyes, a Catelyn smile in joy at her first born.
"Lyarra Stark, first born child of Eddard Stark the Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North" she muttered proudly as she gazed into her daughter's eyes.
Eddard I, Winterfell POV (7 years later.)
Eddard Stark, commonly called Ned, watched with a mix of a smile and a frown as he watched his eldest daughter Lyarra in the training yard of Winterfell with a practice sword with her brothers. A large part of him was proud of the fact that his daughter knew how to defend herself and the fact that despite being only seven she clearly had the signs of becoming a very proficient blade. Another, larger part of Ned worried for his daughter, day by day she became more like his sister Lyanna and more than once he feared that Lyarra would meet her end.
Ned smiles seeing his son Rob and his 'son' Jon trying to hit Lyarra only for her to block it and hit Rob with the hilt of the wooden sword, Lyarra picks up Rob and shows him how to swing as both Rob and Jon follow her style.
"I still don't like her learning how to fight." His wife's voice filled his ears as she approached him. Though their marriage had a rough start the two of them have grown to love each other.
"Neither do I," Ned replied with a small chuckle. They had both tried to stop her from learning how to fight but their daughter was as stubborn as an ox, and after two months of arguing and fighting they had given up and let Lyarra learn how to fight, neither of them expecting her to not only stick with it but to also be rather skilled, even teaching her brothers and other kids that want to learn. Few don't approve of a girl teaching others how to fight but his daughter was far too stubborn and strong to give up and gather a small following of child at Winter Town
"Do you remember what she said when she went into the training yard holding a practice sword?" He asked Catelyn.
"Yes," Catelyn answered with a smile on her face "'I have a right to choose what to use my hands for and I chose to wield a blade" I believe it was." The two of them laughed quietly as they remembered the incident, it was certainly something to remember.
"Lord Stark," an urgent voice caught both their attention. Turning around they saw maester Luwin heading towards them, moving as fast as he could with his age and ma
"There was a raven from King's Landing." Luwin answered their questioning looks, causing concern to fill Ned. While he used to trade letters with both Robert and Jon Arryn they had become fewer and fewer over the years and he hadn't traded a single letter with either of them in nearly a year, that alone caught Ned's attention. Taking the letter and breaking the King's seal he read over the scroll, shock and fear filling him.
Ned, it's been a long time since we last wrote and I wish it was under better circumstances, that bastard Balon Greyjoy has declared himself King of the Iron Islands and has started a damn rebellion. His wretched brothers have already attacked Lannisport and destroyed the Lannister fleet. Normally I'd be pleased to see those yellow haired shits put in their place but with their fleet destroyed I can no longer match the Iron Fleet on my own. I hate to ask this of you Ned, I really do, but I beg of you. Call the banners and help me defeat these blasted squids.
Sincerely Robert Baratheon, first of my name, titles, titles, etc.
"Ned, what is it?" Cat asked, noticing the look on her husband's face which truly worried her.
"War, have maester Luwin call the banners." Ned ordered. He didn't want to go to war but he would do his duty and help his friend.
"Are you sure my lord?" The maester questioned.
"Indeed, and tell them to prepare for war" Ned ordered at Luwin went to send the message as Ned went to get ready himself not before looking down to see his daughter look at him with her dark blue eyes.
Lyarra I POV Winter Town 4 weeks later
Lyarra knew her father was going to war and also knew he was going to win. She didn't know how or why but whenever she sleeps she dreams.
Dreams of a different life, wearing armour, ruling a fortress and leading an army, she loves these dreams as it feels so real and she is inspired to be the woman in armour, Apollyon.
That is why she trains with a sword despite everyone telling her no, and reading books despite telling her a lady doesn't need to read but she shows them her skill and they shut up. She leads a small group of children in Winter town, friends and allies together, training to one day defend the north.
Many laugh at her and her group the Winter Legion she calls them but she doesn't let that stop her or get her group down. Even her brothers look up to her as she shows them how to fight and cool tricks. She wanted to take them both to Winter town to meet her group but her Mother and Father said they were too young even when they begged. But she promises them to take them to Winter town one day and that is a big sister promise.
She was currently in Winter Town to try and organise and help out people, the common folk mostly humour us and let us play but they didn't take kindly to children telling them to do. It was like that for a bit until a bandit attacked Winter town, but thanks to Lyarra and her group capturing one of the bandits and he told everyone what was happening they prepared and set a trap. Catching the bandits off guard and beating them with a few casualties.
Seen then people have been listening to her group more and more and found they were prospering. More buildings, food and people, making Winter town slowly became a village now.
Right now she and the Winter Legion are fortifying and rationing food for everyone, everyone is storing food and building barriers for their homes. While Lyarra knows her Father and the north would beat the Greyjoys soon doesn't mean they're safe. Lyarra saw the north is divided and she must find a way to unite them.
"The potatoes are stored and few of the men left are training" A voice brought Lyarra away from her thoughts as she turned to see Derron standing, reporting to her with a few people behind him.
Derron was a 10 year boy that all the kids followed until Derron met Lyarra, at first he thought she was a spoiled noble until he helped another farm and play. Derron was first intrigued by her presence and tried to hit her, when he did the guard beat him bloody until Lyarra told them to stop and save his life.
Derron asked why she told them to stop when he hit her she told him.
"Anyone who can stand up for themselves should be punished, and you're going to help me get me up too" She said with a bruise check and a hand out for him to get up.
Since then Derron has followed her and helped others following her example.
"Good, make sure everyone gets one potato, bread and water each day." Lyarra orders as Derron nodded and told others to follow; people won't like it but they're at war and everyone needs to do their part.
Lyarra walks through the medium size village as it has expanded since she has arrived here, her mother worries when she leaves the castle unless she has a few guards to follow her. She has since earned their loyalty and now would gladly die for her, they tell her mother what she wants to hear and she accepts it, for now as her mother knows Lyarra is up to something but she is too busy looking after baby Sansa.
Lyarra checks the people training to fight, sharpening sticks to spears, putting metal on the end and getting into formations. There are only 70 people able to fight due to the Northern lords taking most of any able smallfolk to fight. Those that were left behind Lyarra and her guards are able to make a small fighting army, it is not much compared to any gathering army but any fighting force is better than nothing.
Lyarra nods to a few of her guards as they supervise the training, while attack from the Greyjoys was unlikely other people will take advantage of most of everyone's armies away from their home, leading to increased bandit attack on defenceless villages and docks. Castles are fine thanks to the walls and guardsmen but not everyone has either that's why Lyarra is here, to help those that need it.
"My Lady, My Lady" A person yelled, causing everyone to turn to see a few people on horses coming to Lyarra as she saw the scouts come to report anything that comes in the surrounding area.
"Jonson, report" Lyarra orders as Jonson reports the surrounding area.
"My lady, the scouts have reported ships with white sails heading for Winter town down the lake" Jonson reports as Lyarra looks confused.
That was odd since the Winter town made a port on the river. The Manderly house sent a few ships to merchant down to his little town, but Manderly ships were facing the Greyjoys. Despite the North not having a fleet since one of the Stark kings' burn their only fleet but any ship against the Greyjoy is used.
So why would ships come down when there's a war going on.
Lyarra went with a few soldiers and some smallfolk to check out the ships, merchant ships rarely to Winter town due to the way the river ends and the merchant's ship have to turn around
Lyarra and a few of her guards went to see a group of smallfolk at the docks with some money or goods to trade with as Lyarra looked at the ships coming in the docks. Not the normally designed ship of merchant but more a war ship.
Lyarra looks closer at the merchants on the ships, all wearing grey and holding weapons, axes, swords and shields. And she sees a man in steel armour, why would you wear armour out to see where you could easily drown. As Lyarra looks closer her eyes widen in shock seeing the sigil of a golden Kraken.
"GREYJOY ARE HERE, IT A RAID" Lyarra yelled out catching everyone by surprise as the man in armour grab an axe and throw in a one of the men, killing them as everyone screams and yells as the Greyjoy raider take out there weapons and start hacking and slash as the people scream as Lyarra gets taken away by her guards as she watch the slaughter with a blank stare.
Lyarra watched as she see the men training take their spears and head to the raiders as she continue the watch the raiders kill, hurt and rape everyone. One of the smallfolk made the bell to warn everyone. Hitting the bell to warn everyone of an Ironborn raid.
The guards picked her up to take her to a safe area away from the fight. The lead guard put the Lyarra in under a village house with a small door only she could fit through.
"My lady, stay here and wait until this raid is over" Hector the lead guard said as he locked the door for her safety along with the other kids. Each building has a small space underground to hide the woman and children.
Lyarra didn't know what to do, she wanted to order the guard to put her down so she could lead her Winter legion but she couldn't. Seeing a man die in front of her and war in front of her just left her staring in shock as Hector just closes the door as she watches it all through the peephole, giving her a full view of the burning village.
Lyarra watches as the Greyjoy raider massacres the village she worked so hard on. Raiders attack women and unarmed men, she would be proud of her Winter legion putting up a fight. Small legions of people with spears stabbing the raiders and pushing them some back, Derron was leading the spearman to the raiders.
Lyarra watches in shock seeing the fighting, seeing the blood leaving her dead people, hearing the sound of metal hitting flesh, smelling smoke and shit from the dead and tasting the ash from the burning village. She watches as the man with heavy armor with a Kraken on his chest cuts down her guards and friends. Seeing him laughing as he slaughtered everyone around him forever changed her.
As Lyarra couldn't do anything but stare at the scene before her, seeing war in front of her sent her mind back. Back to her dreams, not moments of trumpet or saving people. But everything, she remembers everything. The fire, the fighting, the clashing of steel and wood, and all the death and destruction caused from it.
All from War
Wolves eating sheep as they take their place in the world of man.
Ser Rodrik Cassel I POV Winter Town, 4 days later
Ser Rodrik looks at the damaged town as he leads his men to find the first born daughter of Stark. A foolish girl learning how to use a sword, he tried to stop it but his lord wouldn't hear it. She'll get tired of it he said to Rodrik but if only Lord Stark knew as Rodrik sees the small folk try and rebuild the village.
He and everyone else were surprised the iron born would raid this far, sure there is a river but the iron born would have to go through the Manderly or White Harbor. The survivor said the iron born was dressed like normal merchants and would have got the drop on them if it wasn't for Lady Lyarra warning everyone, the warning bell the first lady set up was a good help too.
Rodrik and the Stark guard try their best to help the survivors and look for their lady, they were searching for a while until someone called out.
"We found her" A voice called out causing Rodrik to sprint to the voice.
As everyone from Stark guard and smallfolk come to find Lyarra Stark, eyes staring in shock as she was holding herself as she was covered in blood and ash. Lyarra was speaking to anyone as everyone tried to get her attention but she wasn't responding.
"Lyarra, Lyarra, are you alright?" Rodrik ask kneeling to her level, seeing if she has any injuries.
"….." Lyarra doesn't respond, just staring straight ahead, Rodrik not finding any injuries picks her up.
"Where are you going to take you home now Lyarra" Rodrik said, lifting her up as he carries her to the horse. As Rodrik carries her the smallfolk around him look at him as he passes. More especially Lyarra as everyone watches her leave, Lyarra slowly looks around. Seeing the people that survive the raid look at her with respect or a nod, silently thanking her as he passes by them.
Rodrik looks shocked at everyone looking at Lyarra like this, never has he seen smallfolk give such respect to anyone, especially a little girl. Noble blood or not, Rodrik sees Lyarra made an impact on the people of Winter Town. He thinks about this as he puts Lyarra on the horse to head back home to Winterfell.
"I….sa" Rodrik looks at Lyarra, hearing her say something.
"What is it? Lyarra what happened?" Rodrik asks, trying to get her story on the raid, information could help her and the north.
"I…saw….." Lyarra mumbles as Rodrik gets closer to hear her.
"Yes Lyarra, don't stop" Rodrik encourages her as Lyarra lifts her head to look Rodrik in the eye.
"War, I saw War" Lyarra announced, looking ahead as ash and snow began to fall around them.
