Act 1:
Nooroo was looking at his wielder, Gabriel Agreste. He had his miraculous for a few years and didn't seem to be evil, so Nooroo had high hopes for him. However, a year ago, he had changed when his wife kept using the broken peacock and entered a coma. Since then he seemed to have changed, growing colder towards his son and assistant, but Nooroo still held out hope for him, that was until now. Gabriel was planning to use the miraculous for selfish reasons, even if it would help his family, the price of the wish would be too strong and would hurt his family more than it would help, but Gabriel kept ignoring his warnings.
"Well then, shall we get started?" His wielder said, "Dark Wings Rise!" As he was brought into the miraculous, Nooroo decided that while the guardian would most likely give someone the ladybug and cat miraculous to fight Gabriel, or Hawk Moth as he was calling himself, Nooroo decided that he would try to escape from Gabriel by himself.
Alya was excited for her first day of school in Paris. Her mom was working at some hotel, and the pastries they had were apparently supplied by a bakery that was close by to her lycee, so Alya woke up early to go check it out and get a croissant. As she was walking there, she saw an old man walking across the street as a car was approaching him. When she saw the car, Alya rushed to try and help him, as did a blue haired girl that wore her hair in pigtails, who made it to him a bit before her. When Alya had reached them, the girl had tripped as she was dragging the man out, and Alya grabbed their hands and pulled them out of the street, with the car passing by soon after.
"Hey are you okay?" She asked the two. The girl was picking up the box she was holding, which had a few macarons in it, while the old guy was dusting himself off before starting to talk.
"I'd like to thank both of you girls. I would have been in the hospital if not for your assistance. It is a shame what happened to those though." He said gratefully while pointing at the macarons laying on the ground, most of them having been crushed by people walking by.
"No worries, I'd probably have lost a few later anyway." The girl said, with a shy smile, "If you want you can take some!" She offered, holding a green and red macaron to them both. Alya happily took the red one and bit into it.
"Ohmygodthisisthebestthingiveevereaten." Alya burst out the moment she took a bite out of it. It just tasted so good, and when she saw the logo on the box as being from the bakery, she knew why that hotel bought it from there. The old man agreed with it being good right as they heard a bell ring from the school nearby.
"Sorry, but I have to go!" The girl yelled before leaving, with Alya saying bye before following her, not feeling a weight hit her bag. When the two had gone, the old man looked at his bracelet as a miniature turtle flew out of his pocket.
"Both of those girls were good choices for Tikki master, was there a way you decided?" the turtle asked the man.
"I simply let luck decide it Wayzz, whichever girl owned the bag I put it in will have the earrings." He said, while taking out a second box from his pocket. "Now to find someone for Plagg."
"Hey, wait up!" Alya shouted at the girl who was running, as she heard her and skidded to a stop. She nearly tripped but Alya grabbed her hand to help balance her.
"Hey, this is Francoise Dupont right?" Alya asked, and gave a sigh of relief that she didn't get lost when the girl nodded. "What's your name by the way? I'm Alya!"
"Marinette" The girl said as they started climbing the stairs. "So, I'm guessing you're new here?"
"Yeah, my family arrived a few weeks ago, so it's my first day of school here. I'm in the class of a Miss Bustier. What about you?"
"I'm in the same class!" Marinette exclaimed excitedly as she grabbed her hand, making Alya blush a bit. "I'll show you the way, let's get going!"
When Alya and Marinette made it to the classroom, most of their classmates had already arrived. They took their seats in the second row, as Miss Bustier called Nino to sit in front of them.
"So, this is our class right? Is there anything you can tell me about the teacher?" Alya asked, wanting to know how the teacher acted.
"This is my first year in the Lycee, same as you Alya. I don't know any of these teachers or the principal. I know our classmates though, I've been in the same class with all of them at lea-" Marinette's response was cut off as a blonde girl and a redhead walked in and interrupted her, as Marinette rolled her eyes.
"OOH Marinette!" Blondie called, as she grabbed one of Marinette's pigtails and pulled it, causing Marinette to hiss as the redhead looked apologetically. "Move to the front row, that's my seat." Alya immediately pegged the two as the school bullies, or at least the blonde one, before Marinette started talking back.
"Chloe, can you stop pulling my hair for one day?" The Bluenette groaned exasperatedly, rolling her eyes at the blonde who Alya now knew the name of, "And I've always sat in the second row, you know this with how You, I, and Sabrina, have always been in the same class" She finished, as she continued unpacking her bag. Chloe sent a look at the redhead, who must've been Sabrina, who started to talk.
"Yeah, but it's a new school year, and in a new lycee! So move it." Sabrina stated, "and you know that it's part of Chloe's routine to pull your hair! As you said, we've been in the same class for all of College!"
"Ok, but why do you want me to move? It's not like there's anything special happening." Marinette asked, which caused Chloe to let out a scandalized gasp.
"Nothing special is happening! It's not like my best friend Adrikins has finally decided to rebel against his father and sneak out to go to school today! I'm sitting behind him, so shoo." Chloe proclaimed dramatically as Sabrina moved Marinette's stuff into her bag and put it in the front row. Alya was about to yell, only for Marinette to snort and grab Alya's hand, moving her to the front row.
"Why did you interrupt me from telling off the Queen of Seats?" Alya asked Marinette, who was unpacking her bag again. "All that's necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing. We're the good, and she's the evil!" She hoped this would get Marinette to not be a pushover and go against Chloe instead of making sarcastic reactions.
"That's a Majestia quote right?" Marinette asked Alya, who was excited that she recognized it, before continuing, "Well, it doesn't really apply here. Chloe and Sabrina aren't really evil. Aside from the hair pulling, Chloe prefers verbal mockery to physically attacking people, not to mention the one time she went too far, she apologized in her own way." Marinette shuddered at the mention of going too far, which confused Alya as to why Marinette would try to defend her bully.
"Ok, there may be that, but how about that Sabrina girl?" Alya asked, desperately trying to find a point she could use to get a reason to try and defend the cute bluenette, only for her hopes to fall as Marinette giggled.
"Sabrina isn't Chloe's minion, they're actually friends. I remember how badly Chloe screamed at this one person who tried bullying Sabrina, she threatened to sue them out of existence!" Marinette said, trying to suppress laughter as she recalled the memory. "Besides, Sabrina doesn't listen to Chloe's every order. Once, when I was hiding in a classroom when I tripped and spilled my water on Chloe's shirt, Sabrina saw me in it, and told Chloe that I wasn't in it." Marinette finished her defense only to look and see Alya saddened, so she had to reassure her.
"Don't worry Alya, we're still friends! Chloe and I definitely dislike each other, so I don't think we would be friends easily." Marinette was happy when Alya managed to smile, but wondered why she was sad because she didn't think that Chloe was evil.
"Thanks girl. And besides, looks like that Adrien guy didn't even show up!" Alya exclaimed as the second bell rang, causing them both to start laughing as Miss Bustier started the class. "So, what can you tell me about our classmates?" She whispered to Marinette, who gave a grin before starting with Nino.
Adrien was running for the school. Chloe encouraged him to live a little, and Adrien already snuck out, so he might as well do the full thing! That's why he ignored when Nathalie called for him to think of what his father wanted. Adrien wanted to do what he had wanted, was that wrong of him to do? Adrien only stopped his run when he saw an old man fall and struggle to pick up his cane, as he decided to help him up.
"Are you okay?" Adrien asked the man as he pulled him up, holding out the cane for him to grab.
"I am alright, thank you young man." He responded, as Adrien turned away to walk back to the school, not feeling a weight drop into his bag. Adrien's heart dropped as Nathalie and the Gorilla blocked the entrance to the school, and despondently walked to the limo.
"Could you please not tell my father?" he asked, and got some relief when they nodded. As the limo left, Fu watched from the stairs as Wayzz left his pocket.
"It looks like you also found a good choice for Plagg." The kwami said, as Fu nodded.
"I hope we will be able to find the one using Nooroo soon, he's been lost for such a long time." Fu responded as he walked away, having faith in the chosen.
"And then there's Kim. He's a prankster and a daredevil. He loves doing challenges and pranking everyone, but doesn't realize when he's being insensitive. He does mean well though" Marinette had taken the time to explain her classmates to Alya while Miss Bustier was giving an overview of what they would learn in the year and who the teacher's were.
"P.E is a class that alternates with study hall weekly, so you go to the stadium this week with Mr. D'Argencourt, and next week you go to the Library. Then you go back to the stadium the week aft-" Miss Bustier's explanation of how the alternating class would work was interrupted when Ivan stood up and ran towards Kim, gripping a piece of paper in his hand.
"Kim! What the HELL!" He yelled in Kim's face, with the hand gripping the paper reared back to punch him when Bustier interrupted.
"Ivan, what's gotten into you?" She asked, being shocked that there was already a fight starting. Alya was also surprised at how the student who Marinette said was normally calm suddenly entered a rage.
"It's Kim, he gave me this note and-" Ivan tried to explain, only to get cut off by Miss Bustier who saw his fist shaking.
"Ivan, go outside and calm down. Then we can talk, I don't want to see anyone getting hit." Miss Bustier asked with a hand on Ivan's shoulder, which he reluctantly did. When Ivan closed the door, she turned to Kim.
"Kim, when Ivan comes back, we're going to talk about what that note said. I didn't read it, but it looks like you hurt him." She said while wondering about what the note could have said. As Kim was trying to say that he wanted to help Ivan, Alya leaned over to Marinette.
"I assume that's what you meant by Kim occasionally taking things too far?" Alya asked, and was happy when Marinette confirmed it with a smile.
"Yeah. He means well but comes off as incredibly insensitive." Marinette sighed, as she remembered the prank from 2 years ago, which confused Alya when she heard a mutter of spiders from Marinette. She was about to ask what Marinette meant when they were interrupted by the wall being destroyed.
Ivan was mad. He understood why Miss Bustier had him leave, but that didn't mean he was happy about it. Kim was a good friend, but sometimes he deserved to get punched right in the face. Ivan was busy thinking about that note that he didn't see a dark purple butterfly phase into the note. As it did, Ivan felt his rage multiply as he heard a voice and his mind fogged over.
"Stoneheart, I am Hawkmoth. You have been wronged because of your feelings? Well, I will allow you to get revenge on the ones that did so."
The voice was convincing. He caught a glimpse of their face in his mind, which was that of a man inside of a silver mask that covered his entire face except his eyes, who had a winged brooch. As they talked, his anger kept growing and he just wanted revenge. He wanted to punch Kim, to crush him, to send him into the ground. With that, he couldn't help but accept it.
"Yes, Hawkmoth."
When he accepted, he felt his rage leave his body. It bubbled up and covered him entirely like a cocoon, before his transformation completed. He was completely covered in stone, with two glowing eyes, with the damned note in his fist.
"Now Stoneheart, go and get your revenge. Just do not open your fist, or they will be able to take away the source of your powers."
Stoneheart agreed and punched a hole inside of the classroom, breaking the wall down.
Alya couldn't believe it, she was at the site of a real supervillain! Bustier called the whole class to scatter when the wall fell, which was a good call as the monster seemed to be going after Kim. As Kim ran away from the school and the monster followed, Alya grabbed Marinette's hand and pulled out her phone.
"Alya, what are you doing?" Marinette asked, with a bit of fear.
"We're recording the villain! When there's a villain, there has to be heroes!" Alya exclaimed, which caused Marinette to look at her like she was insane. Alya dragged Marinette out, but before they could cross the street, Alya saw Nora in front of her.
"Alya, you better not have been trying to chase off that villain." Nora said, with her arms crossed. When Alya gave a sheepish grin, Nora sighed before separating Alya and Marinette and grabbing her arm.
"Sorry kid, mom wants Alya to be safe so you can't do whatever it is you were gonna do." Nora said apologetically, only for Alya to throw her phone at Marinette, who caught it.
"Marinette! Please record this for me!" She called as Nora dragged her away. She saw Marinette sigh and give her a thumbs up before running off, which Alya took as a win.
"So, a friend already huh?" Nora asked her, which made Alya flush a bit.
"Yeah! Marinette's awesome! We met when she went to help a guy who was about to get hit by a car and-" Alya started talking to Nora about Marinette, which caused Nora to sigh as her distraction worked.
As Alya was being taken back home, Adrien was being tutored on school subjects by Nathalie. When they finished, Adrien sighed as he prepared to go to his room only to be interrupted by his father.
"Adrien, why did Nathalie tell me that you had tried to sneak off to school today?" His father, Gabriel, asked him with a condescending tone. Adrien really hated how his father constantly used that tone when he was treating him like a kid that couldn't take care of themself. Adrien
"Because I want to be a normal kid for once father. I want to be able to go to school and make friends like everyone else!" Adrien responded, his voice raising as he almost shouted at the end of the sentence.
"Because you aren't like everyone else, Adrien. You are my heir, and I want you to be safe. You saw what just happened." Gabriel tried to explain. Adrien did see that villain, and while he was scared because of the damage it was doing, he was also upset because his dad would just use it as an excuse to keep him in.
"Fine father, I'll just go to my room then." Adrien said with a little hint of anger, as he walked off to read. When he left, Gabriel looked down to his brooch.
"I swear Adrien, once I bring Emilie back, you will see that everything I've done was just to help you." He muttered to himself, before going to his office, not seeing Nooroo give him a glare.
Alya had gotten to her room, and was watching the news coverage on her computer. The stone villain seemed to have been running after Kim, and had seemed to call himself Stoneheart. She sighed as the bullets the police fired at him only made the villain larger. Alya spun around in her chair as she remembered what she asked Marinette to do.
"I hope Marinette's alright." She muttered to herself, before she noticed a box had fallen out of her bag onto her bed. She moved to it and saw that it was square shaped with a red sigil that she didn't recognize.
"Was this a first day of school gift from mom that I didn't notice?" Alya asked herself as she opened the box. In it, she saw a pair of ladybug patterned earrings alongside a red spark that grew bigger and started to fly around her room.
Adrien entered his room, as he grabbed a book before closing the door. He dropped on his bed with a sigh as he opened the book to calm himself down. He knew his father had grown distant since his mom disappeared, but he had said before that he could go out to attend Lycee in person before it happened. Adrien turned to look out the window when he noticed a box on the pile of stuff that he unpacked from his bag and picked it up.
"Is this an apology from Nathalie or The Gorilla? How did they hide it in my bag?" Adrien wondered to himself as he opened the box. Inside it was a black ring with some glowing green marks on the face of it that formed a paw print, and a black spark that grew and circled around him.
The red light grew brighter until it shrunk down into a small figure, about 10cm tall. The figure was red with a black spot on the top of its head, with red antennae and somewhat humanoid, with small arms and legs. It was floating in the air as Alya stared dumbfounded, and decided to say the first word.
"Hello there!" The thing said. Alya's mind soon finished processing what she was seeing, as she entered reporter mode.
"What are you? How can you Fly? Do you have a name? Why are you in my room? Wait, you look like a ladybug, are you connected with the earrings?" Alya asked these questions one after another while walking towards it, causing it to fly back as it started answering.
"I'm a kwami, and we can fly by our nature as magical beings! My name is Tikki, and my relationship with the earrings is exactly what I want to talk about!" Tikki responded to the questions, and as Alya calmed down she wondered why the last question was being answered separately.
The black light shrank into another kwami, this one was black with green eyes along with cat ears and a tail though. When Adrien saw it, he couldn't help but try to touch it and made a guess as to what it was.
"Are you like a genie? Or one of the inc-" Adrien asked the kwami, only for it to interrupt.
"Who cares about the genie's and their wishes. What's really important is if I can eat this!" It said as it zoomed off to the second floor of Adrien's room, grabbing some of his dvd's. Adrien climbed up the ladder to chase after it.
"You can't eat that! Get back here!" Adrien yelled as he grabbed the thing and jumped down onto his bed.
"Now what are you? Are you like an incubator?" Adrien asked, mentally comparing it to Kyubey.
"What the hell is an incubator?" The kwami asked with confusion, before continuing. "Name's Plagg, I'm a kwami, and I'm here for one reason!"
"You Alya, have been chosen to wield the Ladybug Miraculous and fight the akuma!" Tikki exclaimed, as Alya looked between her computer with Stoneheart, Tikki, and the earrings, before squealing with joy.
"OHMYGOD!" Alya shouted, before calming down slightly, "I'm gonna be a hero! Are the earrings the power source? They have to be right? And what's the akuma? Does it have to do with the stoneheart? What are my powers? I have the perfect name for this!" She rambled on excitedly, before looking at Tikki.
"The earrings are how you can transform into a hero! The akuma is the source of the monster currently on the news, made by the butterfly miraculous. It's an object belonging to the person that got akumatized. You have to break the object to free the person from the akuma's control! Your powers are Lucky Charm which gives you an item that will help you win, and Miraculous Cure, where you throw the charm into the air and fix all the damage from the miraculous and akuma! Once you use the charm, you only have five minutes until you detransform." Tikki explained, happy to see that her holder was excited to do this.
"I think I got it, how do I transform now? Alya asked as she grabbed the earrings and put them on, as they turned from the round ladybug patterned earrings into flatter orange ones in her ears. "Also, why did the earrings just change?"
"That's your camouflaged miraculous mode. It's so you can keep your identity secret by not wearing ladybug colored earrings the day a ladybug hero comes. No one can know it. Not even your partner." Tikki told Alya, who nodded, if a bit saddened by the fact that she couldn't tell Marinette anyone that she was a hero.
"As for how you transform, you just have to say-"
"You just got the miraculous of the cat. Put that ring on, transform, and help your partner fight the Akuma, and you can't tell anyone about you having the miraculous." Plagg explained to Adrien, in a much shorter version to Tikki, as Adrien looked excited.
"Oh My God! I'm a magical girl! Like Madoka, or Tuxedo Mask!" Adrien exclaimed, as he slipped the ring on, making all the color leave until it was a plain silver. Adrien then looked at Plagg to see how he could transform.
"Your power is called Cataclysm, which destroys the next thing you touch, and then you detransform in five minutes." Plagg delayed Adrien by explaining how his power works, and Adrien was shaking with excitement.
"And to transform, all you gotta say is-"
"Are you sure they're up for this master?" Wayzz asked Fu, who was in the back of his massage shop. Fu was closing a box which was filled with Miraculous as the gramophone withdrew it back in and closed soon after.
"I only made one mistake with a miraculous, and it never had to do with me picking someone to use it. Regardless, I hope I won't ever make a mistake again." Fu responded, wistfully thinking about the past mistake that caused this to happen in the first place.
Both teenage miraculous users had gotten their transformation phrases at the same time, and were ready to stop the akuma. At the same time, they called out the magic words.
"Tikki!"/"Plagg!"
"SPOTS ON!"/"CLAWS OUT!"
With a flash of light, Alya and Adrien transformed into their hero outfits as their miraculous turned into their powered form when their kwami's got sucked inside. Adrien's hair fell down and grew messier, as his eyes became green along with the sclera becoming green as well. A black suit that looked like leather formed across his whole body as wo black leather-like cat ears also appeared on his head and a bell appeared on his collar. A belt took form on his waist that functioned as a tail, as a baton formed on his belt and a black mask on his face finished his transformation.
Alya's eyes turned red as her hair was tied near her neck by some red ribbon's. Her shoes were replaced by black boots that went up to her knees, where a black knee pad with a red center was. The rest of her body and arms had a red suit covering it with black spots throughout, except for her hands having black gloves and a black chestpiece on her chest. Two black straps went around her waist, which gained a yo-yo, as Alya's glasses melted into a red mask, functioning as her prescription and finishing her transformation.
"Oh My God! This Is Amazing!" Alya shouted out, looking at herself in a mirror. "Tikki, do you see me? I look awesome!" She asked, only to be surprised when she didn't get a response. She did a little twirl before grabbing her yoyo.
"Alright, I guess you can't hear me while I'm transformed then. Well, let's go" Alya exclaimed as she prepared to zip away when Nora knocked on the door.
"Alya, are you alright?" She asked, which caused Alya to panic. She couldn't blow her secret identity on her first day! That's when she came up with an excuse.
"I'm fine Nora, just taking a shower!" She responded, sighing when she heard Nora accept the excuse and leave. Alya decided to look at the news to see where the akuma was when she saw something that motivated her more than before.
"The monster seems to be going to the Montparnasse Tower, and it doesn't look like anything can stop it" The news reporter, Nadja, if Alya remembered properly, said. What mattered was that behind the monster, Marinette was running after it with her phone. Alya had a near heart attack when she saw Marinette dodge a piece of debris, and she realized she was the reason her crush friend was in danger.
"Alright, it's at the tower, I can go there and save Marinette! This is amazing!" She declared, as she ran out the window and zipped off with her yoyo.
Adrien was tight walking across his baton. Being transformed like this was freeing, even if there was a villain he had to fight too, it didn't mean he only had to transform when they were around. The baton took a bit of getting used to, but he got it quickly, as he picked up the baton right as he felt something hit him, and a girl in a ladybug outfit landed in front of him. Adrien realized that this must be the partner, and decided to introduce himself with a pun.
"Well then, it's nice of you to drop in huh?" He asked, giving a wide grin when he heard the girl snort, "I assume you're that partner of mine? My name is Chat Noir, what about you?" He asked, offering a handshake.
"Well Chat, I am the one and only Ladybird!" The newly named hero introduced herself with a dramatic pose, causing him to raise an eyebrow. He thought he was dramatic, but she took it to a whole new level.
"Alright Bird, I saw the akuma go to the Parc des Princes, so let's get going!" He exclaimed, as Ladybird threw her yo-yo out.
"Got it, I'll meet you there! Lets save Paris!" She shouted back as she zipped away, Chat following on the baton.
"KIIM! WHO DO YOU THINK IS THE WUSS NOW?" Stoneheart yelled as he was following Kim in the stadium. Marinette was up in the stands, regretting everything that came to this as she recorded the monster chasing Kim. She figured out that it had to have been Ivan, except he couldn't turn into rock, so it had to have been caused by someone else. Alya's camera had a high quality zoom feature, so she was able to get good video without risking her life. She wanted to make Alya happy, but she had some self preservation, thank you very much.
Marinette saw that Stoneheart was about to crush Kim, and settled herself enough to call out to hopefully distract it so Kim could run, but she didn't have to. Before his foot set down, a black blur moved by and grabbed Kim, pushing him out of the way of the foot. Marinette zoomed on the blur, who was a boy wearing a black catsuit, as he started talking to Stoneheart.
"Hey! How about picking on someone your own size." The catboy snarked as he dodged a punch, causing Marinette to groan at the pun. The villain responded, but Marinette ignored that as she focused on Stoneheart, who had a purple butterfly mask appear for a few seconds before leaving, which gave Marinette the confirmation she needed as she called out to the hero.
"Catboy! Stoneheart's being controlled by another villain! Did you see the butterfly mask?" She yelled out as she ran around the stands to avoid being found.
"Thanks, but it's Chat Noir!" The hero yelled as he hit Stoneheart with his baton, causing him to grow in size again. Marinette groaned, but continued recording as a red figure came in to help, zooming in on them.
Ladybird was excited as she swung into the stadium, especially when she saw Marinette in the stands. She could be a hero and show off to her friend all at the same time!
"Alright Stoneheart, stop here and give us your Akuma!" She called, channeling all of her confidence, "You can't beat the combined might of Ladybird and Chat Noir!" She finished, as she dodged a punch.
"Shouldn't it be Chat Noir and Ladybird, since I arrived first, Birdy?" Chat Noir snarked as he jumped over a punch, causing Ladybird to roll her eyes. From the little she heard from her partner, he was confident, while trying to take the stress away with his corny humor, which she could appreciate. She snagged Chat with the yoyo and pulled him back towards her.
"Don't you have an ability too? What is it?" Ladybird asked, wanting to know what he could do so she could make a plan with the charm. "He gets bigger when we hit him so we have to try it with those!"
"Alright then, Cataclysm!" Chat Noir called his power as he touched a goalpost and it collapsed. "I can destroy anything I touch, according to Plagg." She assumed Plagg was his kwami as she saw Chat rush Stoneheart and touch his leg, only for it to do nothing as Chat got kicked away, the first paw on his ring blinking.
"Did your kwami tell you that you can only use it once and then you're on a timer? Or didja forget?" Ladybird asked teasingly, as Chat gave a sheepish grin. "Well then I guess its my turn!" Alya said as she swung her yoyo in the air.
"Lucky Charm!"
Ladybugs swirled around her yoyo, creating what she needed to take victory in this fight, only for a wetsuit to fall in her hands.
"What the hell am I meant to do with this?" She muttered as she shook the wetsuit, ignoring Chat's giggles at her power. She then heard footsteps approaching her and turned to see Marinette next to her, still recording, having left the stands to her confusion.
Marinette had no idea why she left the stands. She could have shouted the advice for Ladybird in the stands, but she went down anyway. A part of her felt it was because she wanted to help Alya get a better recording, but she knew she wanted to be able to help more people.
"Look! He hasn't opened one of his fist's at all! That must be where that akuma or whatever is!" Marinette told Ladybird, who looked at her, then Stoneheart, then the wetsuit, before turning to her.
"Hey, Mar-Recorder Girl, do you think you could help me with this plan? I need a third set of hands. You won't get close to it, don't worry" Marinette missed the slip up with her name, but nodded her agreement. Ladybird gave her a thumbs up before moving to a hose and tying the wetsuit to it.
"What the hell is this plan?" Marinette muttered as she watched Ladybird throw Chat Noir at Stoneheart, as he got caught by his fist. Then she saw Ladybird charge at Stoneheart while holding the wetsuit, taunting him as she jumped towards him, as Stoneheart opened his fist and grabbed Ladybird, dropping a purple piece of paper. Marinette realized it had to have been the note that Kim gave Ivan, which must have been the catalyst for him to become Stoneheart.
"Recorder Girl! Turn the hose on!" Ladybird shouted which snapped Marinette out of her thoughts as she rushed to it. She saw as the fist holding Ladybird slowly expanded as the wetsuit was filled, before he lost his grip on Ladybird as the wetsuit popped, which also destroyed the stone on the arm, revealing a human arm.
Ladybird rushed to the piece of paper and ripped it in half, which caused a dark purple butterfly to fly out of it, and the stone on Ivan to bubble purple until it was gone, and Ivan turned back to normal, although he didn't seem to remember anything that happened. Marinette decided to walk to Ladybird because she needed to know how that happened.
Ladybird was giddy. Her first plan as a superhero had gone off without a hitch! Even if the lucky charm was weird, she and Chat managed to make a plan and rescue Ivan. Marinette even saw and recorded it! As they shared a fist bump, She had a feeling Marinette would be a really big fan, especially as she was walking towards them.
"Excuse me Ladybird, but what the hell happened for Ivan to become a rock monster?" Marinette asked, which she was about to respond as she had 2 spots left, before noticing that Chat had one paw.
"Chat, you gotta leave, you're on your last paw and we can't reveal our identities!" Ladybird said to Chat urgently, who quickly vaulted away with his baton, and she hoped he was decently far away before turning to Marinette. "Anyways recorder girl, this was not Ivan's fault, but the fault of another person who used him like that." she stated seriously, not wanting anyone to get hurt for being used like that.
"Alright I got it, thanks Ladybird, and it's Marinette by the way." Marinette responded as she turned to walk away, only for Ladybird to grab her shoulder and turn her around.
"Actually, I think you should try to record this too!" She said as she picked up the broken wetsuit, and when Marinette had a look of confusion, she threw it in the air.
"MIRACULOUS LADYBIRD!"
She called, as a swarm of ladybugs exploded out of the wetsuit and came to fix everything that was damaged by Ivan when he was Stoneheart. Ladybird had a smile when she saw Marinette's shocked expression at the repair.
"Do you like it? Well, I've got to leave Marinette, see you soon!" Ladybird called out, as she zipped away to her house. The moment she landed in her room, she detransformed and ran to go back to the stadium while telling Nora she wanted to check on her friend.
Marinette saw as Ladybird left, before picking up the note and moving to Ivan. Marinette realized that because she used Ladybird's timer, she'd have to comfort him. Marinette gave him a pat on the back as she read the note.
"You haven't even got the guts to tell Mylene you love her, wuss." She read out loud, and saw Ivan wince as she rolled her eyes at what Kim wrote.
"Kim was being oblivious as always huh?" Marinette asked herself before turning to Ivan. "Y'know Ivan, Kim did have the right idea, even if you could have been less harsh. The worst thing Mylene can say is no, go for it!" Marinette smiled as she saw Ivan brighten from the encouragement as he stood up and walked away. Marinette made to leave after, only for Alya to come in and tackle her.
"OH MY GOD MARINETTE! I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE WAS A SUPERVILLAIN! I SAW YOU ON THE NEWS FEED, DID YOU GET A GOOD RECORDING OF IT!" Alya yelled as she took her phone back, and as she looked through the video started shaking her.
"Oh, My, God! You Helped The Heroes?" Alya asked her, which Marinette guessed was because Alya was a hero fan.
"Um, yeah, I mean it wasn't really much." She responded, only for Alya to interrupt her.
"Don't downplay yourself girl. I bet without that tip you gave, they could have never come up with that plan!" Alya said, which caused Marinette to blush. "I'm gonna make a blog about the heroes, and this is gonna be the first video! See you at school tomorrow!" She exclaimed as they walked out of the stadium together before they separated.
Alya was looking at the comments on the video as Tikki was eating a cookie next to her. She didn't have anything to feed her when she de-transformed, but she remembered where her mom hid the cookie jar for the kids when they came back, and took a few for Tikki. Alya had always wanted to be a reporter, so creating a blog about the heroes was a logical step for her to take, even if she was one of the heroes.
"Alya, are you sure about this? Someone could find out that you're Ladybird!" Tikki asked Alya worried, but Alya had already planned it out when she was making the blog to not expose herself.
"No worries, I mentioned in the introduction page that I'm mainly going to be analyzing heroes and theorizing their identities instead of interviewing or recording their fights!" Alya explained to Tikki, "Which means that they won't suspect the girl who runs a blog about their identities to be Ladybird. I can use the videos people submit to the blog as a way to do the analysis!" Alya finished. She saw the description she wrote on how she couldn't chase after the villains due to her family wanting her to be safe, but she had a friend record the full fight.
"Marinette really did a good job at recording this video, but I don't think I want to get her involved in any more. This one was dangerous enough, I don't want to put her in more danger." Alya told herself as the video had started to get a few views, likely due to being the video that got the clearest shots due to how close she was.
"They even used the footage that she recorded in the news!" As she gestured to the screen where Nadja Chamack was talking about the heroes and who they were.
"Well then, let's hope that the Ladyblog does nicely! As does our heroic career!" Alya told herself before turning off the computer. At that moment she heard the news change, as she saw news of people all around Paris being turned into Stoneheart statues. She turned to Tikki, only to see she had gone still.
"Tikki, are you okay?" She asked, as Tikki rushed to her.
"I FORGOT TO TELL YOU TO PURIFY THE AKUMA! GAAH" Tikki yelled, "It's been such a while since we had to face an evil butterfly wielder that it had just vanished from my mind!" Tikki bemoaned, looking away.
"What do you mean by purifying the akuma?" Alya asked Tikki, who turned back to her.
"Your yo-yo has the ability to capture the akuma's and turn them back into normal butterflies, which stops them from multiplying and causing this!" She said with a panicked tone, only for Alya to grab Tikki and give her a comforting look.
"Don't worry Tikki, next time, we're gonna catch that butterfly!" Alya said with confidence.
As the news of the statues started spreading, Nooroo had the perfect moment for his plan. While Nooroo wasn't able to move far away from Gabriel, he could still sense the activation of other miraculous. Which was why Nooroo had gotten even more panicked when he felt Plagg activate in Adrien's room. If Gabriel found out that his son had fought the akuma, Nooroo knew the man would never let his son leave in his life, while also taking the miraculous for himself. That was what steeled Nooroo's nerves for his plan as Gabriel was working on a design with a cup of coffee next to him.
Nooroo flapped his wings, and silently cheered as the coffee spilled onto Gabriels shirt. He acted as Nooroo predicted, having taken off the brooch before leaving to change his clothes. Nooroo knew that Adrien was going to try to run off to school again, so Nooroo knew that he was his best bet. He picked up the brooch and floated off to Adrien's bag, being able to leave as the miraculous had been removed, dropping it inside one of its side pockets. Nooroo tried to move and talk to Plagg, but he reached his threshold of energy outside the miraculous, as he got sucked back into the brooch, turning it into its activated mode with its wings spread.
The next day, school had been canceled as Mayor Bourgeois had a press conference to talk about the Akuma's. However Adrien didn't know about school getting canceled, and tried to go to school again, especially as his father seemed to be more upset than he normally was. When he made it to the entrance, he was so sad at the sign saying it was closed that he could have been akumatized, if not for the fact that Hawk Moth was his father, who had conveniently lost his miraculous. However, as Nathalie called his name out, when he spun to face her, a brooch fell out of his bag and onto the stairs, unnoticed by anyone around.
"Adrien, your father has decided that you can go to school." Nathalie said with a smile on her face, as he looked at her in shock.
"What, why did he change his mind?" Adrien asked, dumbfounded.
"It appears he both remembered his promise towards your mother and decided that with the heroes around, the city would be safer for you, and allowed you to start attending tomorrow. Your bodyguard will be picking you up and driving you to school however." She said, as she walked Adrien into the car. "He just wants you to continue committing to your extracurriculars like fencing and chinese." She finished, as they drove away.
The brooch lay on the staircase for an hour, until a girl taking a walk had seen the sunlight hit it at the right angle for it to shine into her eyes. She walked up the stairs and saw the winged brooch, before muttering to herself.
"Who would leave such a beautiful piece of jewelry laying around?" Marinette asked herself, as she pocketed the brooch. "If no one had come back to claim it, I guess I'll take it." She said to herself as she turned around to walk home, so she could take a closer look at the brooch.
[End Card: The screen is split in half, the left side is red and the right side is green. The red side has Tikki sitting on Alya's shoulder, while the green side has Adrien holding Plagg on his hand. In the center, the top has the Ladybug Miraculous, the bottom has the Cat Miraculous, and the direct center has Ladybird and Chat Noir striking a pose with their weapons.]
Act 2:
Marinette arrived back at the bakery, wondering about the butterfly brooch. It had a beautiful amethyst at the center, and four wings protruding from it. Marinette didn't know why anyone would just leave something like that lying around, but since no one seemed to be looking for it, she took it. She looked across from the street, where one of the Stoneheart statues were, and was worried about the people who were frozen. Her dad must have seen her worry, because he put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.
"This looks scary Marinette, but don't worry! You saw those heroes right? As long as we have confidence and faith in the fact that they will help, we'll be alright! You saw how that Ladybird was able to fix everything!" Her dad, a large man named Tom, said, which calmed Marinette slightly, but she was still worried that the heroes would fail.
"But what if they fail? They're still new to this, and what if it becomes an army?" She asked her dad, who laughed as he picked her up and gave her a bone-crushing hug.
"Then I'd be the one to protect you, Marinette!" He exclaimed as he put her down, "Now go upstairs and relax, you have a free day of school today!" He said as he pushed her up the stairs. Marinette giggled at her dads antics before walking up the stairs to her room. She closed the trapdoor before looking at the brooch and heading to the mirror, wanting to see what it looked like on her. She did not expect the brooch's wings to disappear and the gem to turn from an amethyst to what looked like a sapphire when she put it on, nor did she anticipate the lilac spark that started to fly around her, as it grew larger before shrinking down into a figure.
Nooroo felt the warmth of when a new person had put on his miraculous, as he had the energy to leave it again. When he got a good look at his holder, he saw that she was around the same age as Adrien and the Ladybug user. Nooroo was about to introduce himself when she started screaming, as the girls started to panic.
"AHHH, Giant Mouse! Butterfly! Butter-Mouse!" She screamed, as the girl started to back away. Nooroo decided to try and introduce himself to hopefully calm the girl down.
"Please don't be afraid Mistre-" Nooroo's introduction was cut off by a pencil being thrown at him, which he dodged easily, as the girl screamed once more.
"Butter-Mouse Talks!" She screamed, as she was throwing the items on her desk at him. Nooroo phased through one of her textbooks as the girl fell to the ground in surprise, as she threw all the utensils she had at him.
"This is surprising, I know, but I can explain." Nooroo tried reasoning, as she slammed the cup the utensils were in over him.
"What the hell are you?" She asked in a panic, pushing her hands over the cup. Nooroo knew he could phase out of it, but decided not to just so she could feel safer.
"My name is Nooroo, and I'm the kwami of transmission!" He said, watching as the girl pushed harder on the glass. "Kwami's are beings that inhabit miraculous jewels and give their wielders powers!" He exclaimed, looking as she had a shocked expression upon hearing the word miraculous.
"Miraculous as in, the things Ladybird and Chat Noir have?" She asked, and Nooroo nodded his head, giving a grin as the girl touched her brooch. "And this brooch, is one of them? Someone out there threw somebody as cute as you away?" She finished asking, while her last question took him aback. None of his past holders had ever complimented him before, he had always gotten the selfish wielders who used him for evil, and he teared up at this compliment, not answering the question.
Marinette looked at the kwami that had started crying, wondering how she had set him off. She wanted to try to help him though, so she picked him up and sat him on her shoulder, before starting to pet him. She saw as Nooroo's tears dried up, as he started talking.
"I'm sorry, I've always ended up in the hands of selfish users who weren't nice to me." He said, before he realized something and started to cry again, "And my user before I escaped was one of those. In fact, this is all my fault!" He exclaimed, which confused Marinette. The only thing that happened yesterday was the…
"Is the person that used you responsible for making the Stonehearts?" She asked him, and was surprised as he gave a teary nod.
"Please believe me! My powers are not meant to be used this way! Hawkmoth was abusing them for his own purposes! That's why I escaped from him!" He pleaded, and Marinette saw how desperate he was for her to believe him, and it would explain why his brooch was just laying around if he did escape.
"I believe you Nooroo." She said, as she held her hand for him to sit on, as she moved to her bed and laid down, looking right at her hand with Nooroo. "So, is there some sort of house for Kwami's? Like a place where your jewelry goes and you can all spend time together?" She asked, because there had to be more than three miraculous.
"There is a miraculous guardian who has hold of the Chinese Miracle Box, with nineteen miraculous inside of it!" He exclaimed, as Marinette was surprised. She expected there to be 7 at a maximum. "There used to be more miraculous boxes, but a disaster happened that caused all but our miracle box to be destroyed, with my and the peacock miraculous getting lost" He finished explaining what happened to the miracle box, as Marinette was surprised at this information.
"Well then, what do you want to do?" Marinette asked him, and was surprised when the kwami started crying again. "Wait, I'm sor-" Marinette tried to apologize only for Nooroo to give her finger a hug.
"I'm sorry. Just, nobody has ever asked me what I wanted to do." Nooroo said, which gave Marinette resolve in one objective. If Nooroo stayed with her, she was going to adopt him.
"Okay! So, do you want to stay with me, or go to the guardian?" She asked, hoping that Nooroo would choose to stay with her.
"I want to stay with you, but I should go back with the guardian." Nooroo said, confusing Marinette. "You saw what I did yesterday, my miraculous is dangerous!" He said, as he burst to tears again, prompting Marinette to pet him again.
"Hawkmoth's the one that's dangerous, not you Nooroo!" Marinette exclaimed, trying her best to give a pep talk. "What is it that you want to do? And Hawkmoth was the villain that used you right?" She asked, and tried to give a comforting smile as Nooroo nodded.
"That was what he called himself. Nooroo said, "and I do want to stay with you." He said with a smile. Marinette beamed at him as she cheered.
"That's great! I think we should have a fun movie night today!" Marinette exclaimed as she grabbed her laptop, preparing to find some fun movies, and asked him one last question. "Now, how can I transform into an outfit like Ladybird or Chat Noir?" She asked him, as Nooroo responded.
Marinette was walking to school the next day, with Nooroo in her purse and her brooch pinned at her chest. They spent the entire break day watching a large amount of disney movies, as she talked with him about what the transformation would do. She learnt about the weapon being a cane, the brooch changing forms when she transformed, and that she could give people powers. She also brought up a variety of foods from the bakery for them to try, and Nooroo loved the cinnamon rolls and croissants the most. None of those he loved as much as he loved candy however, which was what she filled her bag with. That was when Nooroo phased through her bag and muttered something to her.
"Duck!" He said urgently, and she obliged as a dark butterfly flew right past her. Marinette hadn't asked him about the multiplying butterflies yesterday, but she felt like it was time to ask now.
"Nooroo, do you know why the butterflies started multiplying?" She asked, and Nooroo looked at the Stoneheart statues before his face turned glum.
"You know how Hawkmoth sent the akuma to turn Ivan into stoneheart?" He asked her, and Marinette nodded. "Well, when the heroes broke the akumatized object itself, the ladybug didn't catch and purify the butterfly. That's what caused it to multiply and turn innocent people into statues and the only way to stop it is for the first butterfly to be purified or for Ivan to lose his negative emotions! I can't even call them off myself! cIt's all my fault!" He yelled with as much noise as he could without alerting anyone to his presence as he started crying, as Marinette geared up another comfort talk.
"It's not your fault! It's Hawkmoth's fault for doing it in the first place!" She whisper-yelled to him before she remembered another person involved. "Or Ladybird's fault! If she did it properly and caught the butterfly, this wouldn't have happened!" She wanted to give the heroes a chance, which was why she told them what she noticed, but Ladybird made no attempt to even swing at the butterfly! She just said that Ivan wasn't at fault, fixed everything, and left. Which was good, but it allowed the problem to escalate. But her problem now was to comfort Nooroo, not to be annoyed at the heroes.
"Don't worry Nooroo, we can talk to Ivan and help fix this!" She encouraged Nooroo, and beamed as he gave a shaky smile. He was about to respond before he phased back in as Marinette saw Alya running to her.
"GIRL! Check! This! Out!" She yelled at her before dragging her into the school.
Alya was shaking with excitement as she brought Marinette into the courtyard. In the past day, Alya had been focusing on the Ladyblog while making sure Tikki didn't apologize for forgetting an important part of her power set. The blog had gotten a crazy amount of followers, and she was glad to see Marinette getting credit for the video on social media when people noticed her running after Stoneheart and Chloe mentioned her being a reckless idiot on it. Even without purifying the akuma, the submissions on the blog were all encouraging the heroes that they would fix the problem next time, which warmed her heart. Alya pulled out her phone before showing it to Marinette.
"Look at this! I call it, The Ladyblog!" Alya exclaimed, and started to explain upon seeing Marinette's confused frown. "It's about the coolest hero of Paris, Ladybird! And it blew up yesterday thanks to your video! Thanks so much for that." She explained, before looking at Marinette. Marinette still had that frown on her face, which worried Alya, before she responded.
"Yeah, but why do you trust Ladybird so much? Do you really think she can fix everything?" She asked, which confused Alya. Sure she didn't know that she was Ladybird, but she helped her with the plan, that should have been enough for some trust!
"What do you mean Marinette? You helped them defeat the villain right? She can handle them!" She exclaimed with excitement, trying to see her cute best friend be a fan of herself, only to see her frown furrow.
"Don't you think there's more to being a hero than being able to fight?" Marinette asked, which confused Alya. In all the comics she read, the heroes fought the villains and sent them to jail. Sure, the akuma's were victims, but all that meant was they put Hawkmoth in jail, right? That was what the guy had called himself according to Ivan. She had gone to his house yesterday and asked him about how it felt, and he said the only thing he could remember was the name Hawkmoth.
"Uuuum, is it to find out who Hawkmoth is and take them to jail?" She asked, as Marinette sighed before taking her phone and searching for something. When she returned it, it was opened to a photo of the Stoneheart statues that appeared.
"Look at how many innocent people were affected by these butterflies! They were dragged into this with no fault of their own because Ladybird couldn't deal with the butterfly" She said, which caused Alya to think. While Marinette didn't know that she hadn't known about how to handle the butterfly, she did have a point with how people had gotten hurt because of her mistake.
"I think I get it." She said, as Marinette started to smile a bit.
"I was at the fight, and they looked like they were being reckless. Sure she figured out an insane plan but they got to the stadium separately instead of together and didn't even know the other's powers!" She said, which made Alya wince. Maybe she should have asked Chat what he could do before running off. She was snapped out of her thoughts by Marinette continuing.
"Paris needs a hero that would focus on helping other people at the expense of themselves!" She finished as she slammed her fist into her hand. Alya started to frown as she asked Marinette something with disappointment.
"And you don't think that Ladybird is a hero who would do that?" She asked, hoping Marinette would at least have some hope for her. Thankfully, it seemed like she did.
"Well, I don't know for sure actually. They might actually care, I've only seen them once after all!" She said, which gave Alya hope. If Marinette felt she could do better, then she would do anything she needed to make sure she'd be her hero! That's when she noticed Marinette still looked unsure, and realized what her problem was.
"Marinette, could it really be-" She started to ask, as Marinette's eyes widened, "-that you're afraid of this situation?" she finished teasingly, as Marinette seemed to calm down.
"Pfft, Me, scared? You Wish Alya." She responded while giggling. Alya sighed as it looked like Marinette had calmed down, before putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't worry girl. Ladybird will fix everything! And if she doesn't, then I guess I will have to save you then!" She said as she gave Marinette a smirk and turned around, not noticing Marinette's redding cheeks, to head to where the rest of the class was talking to Ivan.
Marinette's cheeks burned hotter than the sun while her heart was pounding like a drum, and she didn't know why. The first time she felt like it was with Kim, but that had led to the disastrous spider prank, and it had stopped afterwards. Then it started happening with Chloe and Sabrina after the former's apology for that prank, and the latter helping her hide in the classroom. That led her to believe that it had something to do with danger, but what would Alya do to hurt her?
"W-what's going on?" Marinette whispered to Nooroo, making sure not to draw attention. "Why do I feel like this? It's not like Alya is going to hurt me? Am I having a panic attack?" She asked him, and got annoyed when all he did was giggle as he responded.
"It's not a panic attack, and it doesn't have to do with someone hurting you." He said, clearly trying to stifle his giggles. "I have a few ideas on what it really means though." He finished teasingly, as Marinette tried her best to bring down her blush.
"Huh? Cmon, no way!" She deflected while pointedly looking away. Nooroo was about to respond to that when a commotion came from where Ivan was. Marinette ran there as Nooroo hid as she saw Chloe shouting at Ivan.
"Once A Monster, Always A Monster!" She yelled loud enough for everyone in the courtyard to hear, as Ivan stormed off to the locker room. Marinette had never been more thankful for Chloe and her bratty insults than at that moment for distracting her train of thought, besides that time she apologized when the spider prank went wrong, with that endearing smile and her apologetic stare and-. Marinette cut that train of thought off when she felt a burning pain spread through her body from the brooch. Nooroo peeked out at her, looking on in shock, while Marinette looked at him for an explanation.
"You're sensing Ivan's distress!" He explained, with his expression being a mix of happiness and worry. "The more empathetic my wielder is, the stronger they feel the pain of others. It's meant to help them find a champion who needs help!" he finished as the pain started to reduce. It still buzzed under her chest, but it didn't feel like she was on fire anymore. She doubted that Ivan felt any better though.
"We've got to help him!" She decided, wanting to make sure her friend felt better about his issues. She went to follow Ivan, smiling as she saw Alya telling off Chloe for what she had said, ignoring the slight burn that came from the brooch with it. Alya was a real hero, way better than Ladybird! Marinette was super glad she was her friend.
Marinette knew Ivan was in pain when she entered the locker room, but with how he was leaning against his locker, she was certain she could have figured it out even without the brooch. She went to approach him, but he turned away when he saw her, most likely due to the guilt of what happened.
"You should really tell Mylene how you feel." She said, as the brooch lit with embarrassment coming from Ivan, "I bet she really likes you back!"
"You read that note, I'm no good with words." He responded, which Marinette could relate to when it came to her one experience with love. Either way, she had seen that Mylene had similar feelings for Ivan, so she had to offer up a solution.
"C'mon think positive! Why not try something different?" She encouraged, as Ivan looked up with a smile. "Why not get her some flowers, or make a painting!"
"Maybe I could make her a song? I'm good at that!" He offered, as Marinette felt the pain start to go away.
"Exactly! Who doesn't love a good love song? Go get her!" She finished as she patted his back, Ivan flowing with positivity as he ran out the door. Once he left, Nooroo exited her purse.
"That was amazing, Marinette! The akuma's will go away alone now!" He beamed, as Marinette gave a smile back. She was relieved that soon enough this would end, and she could have a fun year with her new friend! Sadly, life had other plans for her.
Adrien was excited for his first day at school. While he could have dealt without the fans asking for autographs, it wasn't unbearable. He sat in the seat Chloe had saved on the first day, which was nice of her to do, before turning to talk to the boy with headphones who was next to him.
"Hey there, My name's Adrien, it's nice to meet you!" He said, offering a hand to him, which he took.
"Nice to meet you too dude!" The boy said as he shook his hand. "The names Nino, and it looks like you're friends with Chloe, right?" He asked him with a bit of suspicion, which he was confused about. He was about to respond when he saw Chloe and Sabrina putting gum on another seat, and he went to ask her about it.
"Why are you doing that?" He asked her, as Chloe just rolled her eyes.
"The girl that sits here didn't recognize the importance of you finally coming to school! I'm just making sure she learns how important this is for you!" She said to him with what sounded like irritation.
"That's not right Chloe!" He said, before moving to try and get the gum off, not noticing that Chloe suddenly got a smirk as the door opened.
"What do you think you're doing?" He heard a girl say as he got pushed away from the gum, as he stared at a beautiful blue haired girl. He then realized that she must have been the girl Chloe was talking about and rushed to explain.
"Hold on, I was trying to get it o-" He was interrupted when the girl rolled her eyes with annoyance as she stared right at him.
"Oh really? Because what I see is you deciding to go straight into bullying before even introducing yourself! Chloe and Sabrina at least have the decency to introduce themselves before being rude!" She yelled at him, before going to remove the gum by herself. Adrien moved to sit back with Nino as he saw Chloe pull the bluenettes pigtail and Sabrina giggle before sitting behind him. Adrien saw the pigtailed girl and her friend, a girl with glasses, sit on that bench before Nino leant over to talk to him.
"I was about to mention, Chloe has this weird thing going on with Marinette. She gets annoyed when people are trying to make friends with her, yet keeps on harassing her, and nobody knows why. Alix thinks she has a crush, but it's the dumbest idea any of us have ever heard." Nino said as he rolled his eyes. Adrien guessed that Marinette was the name of the pigtailed girl as he responded to Nino.
"Well, I have to apologize to her! I don't want her to think I'm a jerk!" Adrien said as Nino patted his back.
"You seem pretty cool dude, wanna be friends?" He asked as he held his fist out. Adrien was confused as he mimicked the gesture, only to recognize it as a fist bump when their knuckles connected. Adrien knew that this was gonna be the best year ever now that he was at a normal school! Unfortunately, life had plans to make sure his school life was anything but normal.
Marinette rolled her eyes at the pretty boy who put gum on her seat, as he sat down next to Nino. He was the son of her favorite designer, but she didn't care for any of the excuses he tried to give when she caught him. Alya had a good idea about staying away from him if the very first thing he did was try to bully someone, not even introducing himself. She was about to respond to what Alya had said when pain burst through her chest from the brooch and she hit her head on the table.
"Marinette! Are you okay!" Alya asked with concern. Marinette gave her a shaky smile as she lifted her head and responded.
"Y-yeah, I'm fin-" she was cut off with another burst of pain that prompted her to run out of the classroom, ignoring any comments that they would make, as she ran into a broom closet.
"What could have happened?" She asked Nooroo while grasping the brooch. "I thought he should be feeling better!"
"Something must have caused his negativity to flare up again." He responded, as he patted her hair. "Is it feeling better?"
The pain had condensed back into a buzz in her chest, except it was much more uncomfortable than before. Marinette and Nooroo peeked through the broom closet and saw Mylene running into the classroom alone.
"Do you think Ivan missed her?" Nooroo offered, as Marinette held her head in her hands.
"I don't think it would have been this bad if it was that, I think she rejected him. And I was so sure that they liked each other! Dammit!" She yelled to herself. "I'm sorry Nooroo, I let you and everybody else down." she said weakly, thinking about Ivan, Mylene, Nooroo, and everyone turned into a statue.
"Don't worry Marinette, at least you tried!" Nooroo said with a strained smile, but Marinette could feel the hopelessness in his voice. "The movies you showed me were wonderful, and I'm glad that we met!"
Marinette realized that Nooroo was expecting to be sealed away because of her. That this was his goodbye to her. That Nooroo was going to think that everything was his fault and that he deserved it. She couldn't let that happen.
"No!" She forcefully said, as Nooroo looked at her with surprise.
"Marinette?"
"I won't let that happen to you! There has to be another way right!" Marinette asked, thinking of what they could do, as her hand grazed the brooch. That's when she realized what she would do, as she pushed down her fear of doing it when she heard about it.
"You're a good person Nooroo, no matter what you or anyone else says!" She said, not letting Nooroo argue back. "I will show you the world if that's what it takes to prove it to you!" Nooroo looked taken aback, and went to remind her of the problem, but she beat him to it.
"I told you we would find a solution, and I swear that I'm keeping my word!" She said as she gripped the brooch, which was still warm.
"The phrase is what you said yesterday, right?" She asked him, as he nodded, curious as to what her plan was.
"What are you going to do?" He asked her.
"We're going to give Paris a real hero! We're going to fix the statues and use the brooch to help people, like it should! Ivan needs help, and if he can't do it himself!" She said, as she and Nooroo shared a look.
"Then we'll help him do it as Stoneheart!"
Nooroo looked at her with surprise at the declaration as he responded to her.
"Don't you remember last time? Wasn't he dangerous?" He asked her, as Marinette gave him a grin.
"He won't be this time! Hawkmoth was riling him up to be aggressive, but I'll be guiding him properly! We'll handle it!" She said as she grabbed Nooroo to look him in the eyes.
"I can't just leave you like this. It wouldn't be right!" She said as she let go of Nooroo, as tears of joy formed in his eyes.
"Oh Marinette" He cried as he nodded to give his agreement, as Marinette straightened up.
"Well then! There's no time to lose!"
As Marinette made this declaration, in the massage parlor, Wayzz suddenly rushed to Fu.
"Master, the butterfly miraculous has changed hands!" He said urgently, causing Fu's eyes to widen.
"Really? Can you sense their intentions?" He asked, hoping they weren't evil.
"They seem to be selfless, but they also feel like they're the same age as Tikki and Plagg's wielders!" He said, which caused his eyes to widen. The butterfly was typically the most difficult miraculous to control when the wielder had a time limit.
"Well then, let's see what they do." He told Wayzz, as he turned on the television, prepared to see the butterfly in action.
In the broom closet, Marinette was taking breaths to prepare herself, Nooroo by her side. Once she was ready, she called out the magic words.
"Nooroo!"
"WINGS RISE!"
With a flash of light, Nooroo flew into the brooch as the gem turned purple and the four wings came out with the miraculous's powered form. At her feet, black thigh high boots suddenly formed with white shoelaces keeping them on her legs. Her hands had the same black and white lace gloves that reached her elbows while her chest had a tailcoat of the same collar. A black collar formed around her neck, which she moved the brooch up to, as lilac sleeves formed on her arms, legs, and between the collar and tailcoat, fully covering her skin. The part between her neck looked similar to a butterfly. To end her outfit, her hair ribbons turned lilac as they floated up to look like the upper halves of a butterfly's wings, and her eyes turned lilac with a matching butterfly mask. Lastly, she summoned a cane as she did a little twirl, placing both hands on the tip of it.
Marinette looked at herself after she transformed, looking at her head through the doorknobs reflection. The brooch looked like how it did when she first found it, and the outfit clearly had a butterfly theme going on. That's when she realized that she couldn't see Nooroo anymore.
"Nooroo? Did you like, get sucked into the brooch?" She asked the air, and when she only received silence as an answer, she figured that it was correct. She looked at her cane, and saw that the stick connecting it to the glass was separable, and removed it to see a pointed rapier. She reconnected the cane's sheath, and then she tapped the glass that was on top of the cane, and when she looked closer, she saw something.
"It's the akuma!" She gasped, as she saw the butterfly flapping, trying its best to leave the glass. Marinette saw what looked like an opening and flipped it open, as the butterfly exited the glass and started to flutter around her, waiting for her to send her off. She was about to send it off before she realized that it was charged with pure malice, which she didn't want as she went to grab it.
"Let's fix you up before empowering Ivan, shall we!" She whispered to the butterfly, trying her best to channel her emotions into it like Nooroo had explained. She saw a lilac glow emanate from her hands as she withdrew it. The butterfly had turned from dark purple to a lilac color, similar to her sleeves. Looking at the brooch, she saw that the shine inside of the center gem had dissipated, living it a dark purple. She then held out a finger for the butterfly, which it landed on as she rubbed a finger against its wing.
"I think I should call you something else than akuma, you're not corrupted by malice now after all!" Marinette asked the butterfly, which rubbed against her finger affectionately. "How about I call you an Idol?" She asked, as the butterfly flew off and spun around, seemingly accepting its name.
"Well then my beloved Idol." She said as she directed it to move with her cane. "Let's Idolize Ivan and give him the strength he needs to declare his love!"
With that declaration, the Idol flew out of the room by phasing through the wall, which surprised Marinette as she muttered a small "Woah".
She waited for a bit, as one of the wings of her brooch withdrew into itself and disappeared. She felt the exact moment the Idol made a connection with Ivan, as she saw a symbol appear in front of her and saw the event that led to Ivan's negativity as she gasped. Ivan had startled Mylene and she had run away before he could even finish the song. No wonder he was so upset! Marinette knew she just had to help him as she reached out to talk.
Ivan was feeling upset as he crumpled up the song lyrics that he wrote. Mylene ran away from him before she could hear the lyrics he wrote. He felt tears prick up in his eyes as he saw a butterfly enter his lyrics and a connection be made. He expected a feeling similar to what happened last time, but the voice seemed calmer and like a completely different person. He didn't feel any changes to his emotion, unlike the multiplying rage like the last time.
"Hello There Ivan! I can't believe your confession has gone wrong! Those lyrics were so wonderful!" The girl said, as he caught a vision of a pigtailed girl with a butterfly mask appearing in his head, speaking those words.
"Hello. You're not the same guy as last time, right?" He asked, as the girl gave an offended gasp like she didn't even want to be associated with him.
"Of course not! That man was using these powers for his own selfish goals instead of trying to help people in pain like you!" She said, holding a fist to her hand as she finished her sentence. He saw as the winged brooch he saw on the man was now on this girl, except it only had two wings on it.
"My name is Mari- wait,Ishouldn'tusemyrealname, Papillon!" She said with excitement, as Ivan got confused at her muttering near the middle and said what he thought was her name.
"Mari-Papillon?"
"Wait no that's not right!"
"MariPillon?"
"Wait no come on!"
"Marillion!" Ivan said as he got what she was trying to say, as she saw the girl roll her eyes.
"Well dammit, there goes my great entrance, but that names not bad." She said before starting to speak to Ivan, her hands resting somewhere he couldn't see.
"I get that you feel terrible about what happened, but what Hawkmoth made you do wasn't your fault, no matter what people say about you. Insults for things that you can't control don't mean a thing!" She said, which made Ivan feel alot better, especially as he learnt this girl also hated the guy that made him a monster that rampaged across Paris. He didn't like to hold a grudge, but he was going to punch this Hawk Moth if he found out who he was.
"You're a great guy and a great friend, not a monster! I bet Mylene thinks that too! All you need is the confidence to talk to her!" Marillion said with an encouraging tone, as Ivan lifted himself up gripping the paper in his hands.
"You're way nicer than that Hawkmoth guy. Are there any conditions for this?" He asked, as she shook her head no.
"I'm here to be a hero! There aren't any conditions that I need other than for you to be happy after this!" She declared, which made Ivan smile as he thought it over, as she gave one last speech similar to what he heard before, except he felt much more clear minded.
"Stoneheart, I am Marillion. I will give you the strength and confidence to confess to your love and show everyone that you are not a monster. Do you want to be my Idol?" She asked him. An Idol sounded like a nicer name than the Akuma that Ladybird had apparently called him before, as he made his decision.
"Yes Marillion!" He said, as he felt lilac bubbles cocoon around him and transform once again as he became Stoneheart.
Alya was worried for her friend. Marinette had what was some sort of Anxiety or Panic attack and slammed her head into her desk before running off. She waited a bit to see if she could calm herself down, but when she decided to leave, Miss Bustier came in shortly after Mylene, so she couldn't. Alya was worrying the entire time roll was being called, and was barely able to pay attention to hear Ivan's name get called when she heard a crash from the wall again.
"PRESENT!" Stoneheart yelled again, having returned, which caused Alya even more worry. If Marinette had gotten hurt because she wasn't there, Alya couldn't forgive herself! Everyone in the class scattered as Alya ignored Tikki's pleadings, running to find Marinette. She saw as Stoneheart picked Mylene up in the hand the object was in before, while Chloe was in his other hand. Alya ran to the closest door that wasn't a classroom, which was a broom closet, before knocking frantically.
"Marinette, are you in there?" She begged, hoping that her friend was safe. She let out a large sigh of relief when she heard her friend's voice come from the closet, not noticing a flash of purple that came from the door.
"I'm fine Alya! What's going on!" Marinette asked with fear. Alya felt bad for her, she was the closest one to the first Stoneheart attack, and now she had been panicking for some reason when he came back again!
"The monster's back, Marinette! Hide in here please!" She yelled before running, not listening to Marinette's response. She made her way to the locker room and closed the door as Tikki left her vest's pocket.
"Now that your friend is safe, are you ready to transform?" She asked, as Alya grinned.
"I'm gonna fix the mistake that we made Tikki!" She said with confidence as Tikki nodded. "Tikki! SPOTS ON!"
The moment Alya left, Marinette had started to panic as Nooroo was wondering what was wrong. When Ivan had become her Idol, she was down to a single wing, which had vanished and the brooch started beeping before he made it to the classroom. When she saw Stoneheart kidnap Chloe and Mylene, she tried to ask what he was doing, only for herself to detransform. She tried her best to act normal with Alya, and as soon as she left she let herself panic. Nooroo remembered something he forgot from yesterday's explanation as he quickly explained.
"I completely forgot! You start a five minute timer once you power up the butterfly! Each wing signifies one minute, while the brooch will beep with the last minute, beeping quicker every ten seconds of that minute. If you want to detransform earlier, say "Wings Fall!" He explained, as Marinette managed to calm herself down and tell him what happened.
"Nooroo, I messed up, He's too excited!" She said, as Nooroo looked with worry. "We have to find him before anybody else gets hurt! Your skittles are in the purse, eat up so we can go again!" She told him, before running out the door, as Nooroo muttered to himself.
'I've made a champion before I had my miraculous, and my wielders have always made akuma's, but you made something unique Marinette.' He wondered to himself as he ate the candy happily.
Marinette made it outside the school, and saw Chat Noir fighting Stoneheart as Chloe was screaming at him to let her go. Chat clearly hadn't remembered the last fight as he swung at Stoneheart with his baton, and he promptly grew bigger in response.
"Oops, My bad!" He exclaimed when he grew as Marinette facepalmed.
"You're more like a super-catastrophe instead of a superhero!" Chloe yelled, and Marinette privately agreed with her, but she would only ever say it out loud if hell froze over.
"Well, then you won't have to see the catastrophe anymore, because the Cavalry made it!" Stoneheart yelled, as all of the statues gained life and went to surround Chat, before leaving with Chloe and Mylene. Marinette remembered when Nooroo said that they followed the orders of the original, but she didn't expect to see it happen. Marinette had to follow Stoneheart, but she also didn't want Chat to die. Thankfully, Marinette didn't have to make that decision as a yoyo wrapped around him.
"Come On Chat!" Ladybird yelled as she pulled Chat out of the way of the copies as they prepared to fight, giving Marinette the relief she needed to run after the original. It was easy to find where he went, what with all the chaos, but since she couldn't see what each Stoneheart held, she stuck to following the biggest one and hoping that they were the original.
"Are you ready to transform Nooroo?" She whispered to Nooroo, who was swallowing the skittles like it was the end of the world.
"Give me two more minutes!" He responded, as he popped a skittle in his mouth. Marinette pulled out her phone to try and figure it out, as she zoomed in. If she couldn't get close, then her camera would be an alright substitute. Her hunch turned out to be correct as the large Stoneheart she chased had been the original, as she saw Chloe's blond hair when she zoomed in. Now confident, Marinette sneaked up to Stoneheart to hear what they were saying.
"Why are you doing this, let me go!" Mylene yelled with fear, which made Marinette's gut wrench. She should have never done this, it was a mistake!
"Don't worry Mylene, I'm taking us to the most romantic place I know, then I can tell you what I meant about how I feel!" He grumbled, as Chloe started to whine.
"This lovey-dovey stuff is making me sick! Let me go please!" She yelled, as Stoneheart got a creepy grin.
"Don't worry little monster, you won't be seeing it happen."
Alarms started ringing through Marinette's head, what did Stoneheart plan to do with Chloe? Why was he being so violent? Marinette turned to Nooroo to ask why this happened.
"Nooroo, why did Ivan go all insane death monster mode? I thought he only wanted to confess! I didn't want this!" She whispered to him through the purse.
"Champion's, Akuma's, and in your case, Idol's are meant to help people work through their emotions. They are basically an unrestrained person letting loose. A butterfly is typically needed to make sure they don't cause harm. I believe most Idol's won't be as violent however, this one was just made from an Akuma!" Nooroo encouraged, which gave Marinette some relief, before she realized something.
"Did he even get the chance to agree if he was acting irrational?" Marinette asked Nooroo with panic, only for Nooroo to start calming her.
"Not at all! I can sense what is happening when you transform, and unlike the akuma, Ivan had been completely rational when accepting the Idol. It's just after he transformed that the Akuma affected him." He explained, which calmed Marinette down. She was about to respond when she heard large thumps coming, and turned around to see the Stoneheart copies being led there by the heroes.
"Why did they do that! More Stonehearts just means that there's more of them to do damage and makes it harder for them to win!" She started ranting, and was about to continue when she saw something metal fly towards her.
A car was flying straight at her. A Whole Fucking Car! Marinette ducked, praying for the best when she heard something hit the car, followed by a crash. She saw as Cat Noir had used his baton to deflect the car, as something wrapped around her waist and she was pulled away.
"Are you alright Marinette?" Ladybird asked as she was pulled face to face with her. Marinette tried to hide her annoyance because it looked like they were focusing on protecting people from getting hurt this time!
"I'm fine, thank you." She responded, as she turned to walk away.
"It's No Problem!" Ladybird said, while giving a cute smile. "Weren't you supposed to be hiding?" She asked Marinette.
'HOW DID SHE KNOW ABOUT THAT!' Was the one thought that went through Marinette's mind and she panicked until she remembered that she had her phone out.
"I'm recording for my friend's blog! She's a friend of you guys!" She managed to say, thankful for having recorded the conversation between Stoneheart and Mylene. She really hated lying, and she was terrible at it, but thankfully, Ladybird seemed to believe it.
"Really? That's cool of you girl!" Ladybird said as she prepared to jump after Stoneheart. "You should get to a safe spot though, let the experts take care of this!" She said as she jumped away.
Marinette ran into an alleyway before dropping the fake smile.
"Experts? That's an amazing joke!" She said while mocking the Heroine, as Nooroo gave her a look.
"Well I thought she was nice." Nooroo said, having finished his last piece of candy.
"Well, let's see if they are experts, are you ready?" Marinette asked Nooroo, who gave a nod. "Nooroo! WINGS RISE!"
Marillion managed to find Stoneheart as he climbed the eiffel tower. He was enormous, and was shooing the police helicopters like they were birds. Ladybird and Chat Noir were with the police, so she dove under a car to hide and took the chance to talk with him.
"STONEHEART!" She yelled through the bond, as he stopped moving on the tower. "What the hell are you doing?"
"I'm teaching Chloe a lesson!" He said in a tone way too eager for what he implied. "She's the real monster here! When she's gone, then I can talk to Mylene!"
Marillion pinched her nose, regretting ever doing this now that she had to explain why kidnapping was a bad idea.
"You can't kidnap them! Look at how terrified Mylene is! Couldn't you have waited after school to talk to her?" She tried reasoning with him about who he cared about, and it seemed to work.
"I just missed her!" He cried, and Marillion decided to chalk up the childlike mentality to the akuma part, and hoped none of her other Idols would be like this.
"Listen, there's still a chance that we can fix this. Put Chloe down, gently, and wait for me to come. I'll help explain to everyone that this was all a misunderstanding, you can confess to Mylene, and everyone's happy. Got it!"
"I don't see why we should release Chloe! She bullies everybody!"
"Believe me, I know that. But we can't kill her. Put her down, now!"
"Alright, fine."
Ladybird was groaning to herself as she was trying to stop the cops from attacking. She stood in front of the guns to stop them from firing.
"Don't do that! You're making him stronger!" She yelled, trying to get them to listen, as Roger approached her with a glare.
"Leave this to the professionals kid! You couldn't do things right last time, so what makes you think you can do it this time!" He yelled at them despite the fact that she was the reason his arm wasn't broken. Ladybird's blood boiled as she flipped them off and started to yell.
"WHY YOU LITTLE FU-" Only to get cut off by Chat censoring her by covering her hand and as he interrupted her.
"Ladybird!" He yelled, but she ignored him, as she got right in Roger's face.
"Without us, we wouldn't be having this next time at all!" She yelled at him, enraged. "Because you sure as hell weren't doing anything. And the only reason your arm is working is because of me! So cut us some slack for some rookie mistakes!"
She wanted to shout some more, but Chat grabbed her shoulder and pulled her aside.
"Come on Ladybird, He has every right to be suspicious of us!" Chat tried to appease her, "We have to show him that we can do this, by defeating Stoneheart for real!"
Ladybird was about to retort, before she remembered the conversation that she had with Marinette.
"Paris needs a hero that would focus on helping other people at the expense of themselves!"
Marinette was right. She had to be calm and focus on helping the people here. She had messed up, and this was the consequence of it. They needed a plan.
"Alright Chat." She said, taking the role as leader and trying to make a plan. "If the akuma's in the same spot as last time, then it's in the hand that Stoneheart is holding Mylene in. So we sho-"
"I demand you release my daughter at once!" The mayor shouted as he cut Ladybird off. She saw that he was yelling through a megaphone and she rolled her eyes. Why did he expect that the akuma was going to listen?
"Sure thing!" He yelled, and Ladybird panicked. She hoped he would just put her down on the beam but considering how it had been acting, she was prepared for the worst.
Sure enough, when Ladybird managed to get a view at Stoneheart, she saw him throwing Chloe down the Eiffel Tower. A small part of her wanted to let the bully fall, as the cure would fix this, but she quickly smothered that intrusive thought as she ran for Chloe, Marinette's words about heroes helping other people ringing through her head. However, due to her delay from both taking her eyes off of the monster, and from her own thoughts, she knew she was going to be too late to catch her. She ran as fast as she could as Chloe fell and then-
She saw a glint of purple out of the corner of her eyes, as a figure rushed to grab Chloe, carrying her in a bridal carry. She froze when she saw the black gloves and boots, alongside the lilac sleeves, but it wasn't until she landed and spun, showing off her butterfly mask and her brooch that she knew for certain who this was.
"Are you ok?" The girl, who had to be Hawkmoth, asked Chloe as she set her on the ground. Alya swore she saw Chloe blushing at her, but that couldn't be right. Ladybird realized that she had to help Chloe because the villain was clearly planning something, as she aimed at her.
"Hawkmoth!" Ladybird yelled as she flung her yoyo right at the villainess. The girl dodged back as she pulled her yoyo back in. When she was ready to aim again, she saw that the villainess had retreated back up the Eiffel Tower and was giving Stoneheart a glare.
"No!" The girl announced, as Ladybird stopped. If this wasn't Hawkmoth, then who were they and why did they make another villain?
"I'm Marillion, the new butterfly! And there isn't any need for us to fight!" She declared which confused her. She made a villain that almost killed people and caused untold amounts of destruction, of course there was a need to fight! She then watched stunned as Stoneheart was about to continue climbing, only for Marillion to hit his head with her cane, as he suddenly put up an apologetic smile.
"Ugh, fine. She's right. This is all a misunderstanding because she had to detransform and didn't tell me what to do." He said with a whine, causing her to hit him on the head again, which shocked everyone. It would have been hilarious if not for the fact that it was from a villain. Thankfully, Chat seemed to be stunned out of his silence first.
"Well that misunderstanding almost got an innocent girl killed!" Chat yelled at her, as Ladybird nodded her agreement, trying to get over the slapstick scene she just watched. She saw as the villainess rolled her eyes before responding.
"He misunderstood me and he's sorry! Also, this is my first time using my powers, and we all know what happened the first time you used your powers!" Marillion screamed back. That was it for Ladybird, as she pushed Chat Noir out of the way and responded back in this crazy screaming match.
"Oh don't give us that misunderstanding talk, it's clear to everyone that you're the real threat!" She responded, as Chat Noir got back up and stood behind her.
"I'm The Threat?" She responded, as her expression shifted to anger. Marillion then jumped up to the top of the Eiffel Tower before she flipped her cane. From it, came a swarm of lilac butterflies that swarmed around her before shaping into two arrows pointing to her. Ladybird probably assumed that this was to get attention as Marillion began speaking.
"People of Paris! The incompetence of these heroes has caused you all to suffer! But no more! I promise to all of you that I do not mean any harm to anyone! I just wish to help everyone be able to work through your emotions! I won't let these two harm the people they say that they care for!
Marillion turned to glare at Chat as she continued her speech. "Did you think I would forget how you tried to cataclysm Ivan yesterday? Paris needs a hero that would focus on helping other people at the expense of themselves! And I, Marillion, will be that hero!"
Marillion finally lowered her gaze onto Ladybird as she finished her speech. "And I will take your miraculous! I will not let you incompetent heroes harm the people any more!" Marillion said as she swung her cane and the butterflies flew back into it.
Marillion looked upon them with a protective fury that stole her breath away. She looked beautiful as she stood on the tower. Ladybird's chest was beating, and she thought that the only person who was more beautiful than Marillion at that moment was Marine-.
Ladybird decided to end those thoughts before they could continue building up. She did not have a crush on this villainess, absolutely not. She looked around at everyone, and saw that they were silent. Everything was up to her. Resolute, she swung her yoyo up to meet Marillion head on. When she landed next to her, she started a speech of her own.
"Nice try Marillion, if that's what you want to call yourself. But it's clear to everybody that you're the real villain, and I won't let you reverse the roles. After all, without you this never would have happened!" Ladybird yelled at her, which seemed to cause murmurs from the crowd. She saw Chat move forward as Marillion gave her a response.
"Without me, everybody would still be frozen as statues! Ivan was suffering, and he finally has the confidence to do what he needs as my Idol!" Marillion shot back. Ladybird was confused at the different name. Could she actually not be Hawkmoth if she was calling them Idol's instead of akuma's? Well, no matter, as she gave her own response to Marillion.
"Well, all that's necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing! And it's pretty clear to everybody here that the evil is you!" Ladybird finished as she heard everybody cheer and saw Chat making his way up. Marillion growled as she called an order for Stoneheart.
"Stoneheart, get Mylene out of here!" She yelled, as Stoneheart started climbing away. Ladybird wanted to go after her minion to make it a two against one, but Marillion swung her cane at her which she had to dodge. She swung her yoyo at the villainess, which she blocked, as Ladybird saw Chat climbing and decided to fully embrace leadership.
"Chat, save Mylene! They can't have a hostage!" She called at him, as he nodded before changing the angle he was jumping at to intercept Stoneheart. She turned back to Marillion, who was coming at her again. She unraveled her yoyo string to block the attack as she took the chance to talk.
"Did none of you listen to me? You're just gonna end up hurting Mylene!" She groaned as Ladybird grabbed the end of the yoyo and pulled.
"That better not have been a threat." Ladybird snarled as she let go of the yoyo and swung, getting a good hit on Marillions head. Marillion picked herself up, and they charged at each other as their weapons clashed. It looked like a dance, with Ladybird having the advantage, but each of them landing hits when they could. A cane to the head, a yoyo to the knee, the tip of the cane ending up in Ladybird's mouth. Ladybird managed to grab Marillion's arm with the yoyo and pulled the villain to her.
"Do you feel like giving up yet?" Ladybird taunted.
"Tired Already?" Marillion responded teasingly. She then pulled on her cane, and Ladybird unraveled it right before a rapier cut through where the yoyo was.
"I just don't want to waste any more time. Like you heard me say, good will always triumph over evil! So just save us all the trouble and give up." Ladybird said as she swung the yoyo again. Marillion then got a smirk.
"You're really sure of that huh?" She asked, as she grabbed the yoyo and pulled it, yanking it out of Ladybird's grip. She stumbled at the force, before glaring at Marillion who was looking at her with a smirk, before she turned to the edge. Ladybird realized that she must be waiting for Stoneheart, so she ran at her, and managed to pin her at the edge.
It was then that Ladybird got a close look at Marillion. Her pigtailed hair and lilac eyes that were both fierce and warm at the same time. Her dumbfounded smirk and her beautiful outfit. Those stupidly cute freckles. Ladybird could have kissed her- ripped her brooch off there. Except she was just making sure she remembered her appearance.
"Don't think being pretty makes you a good villain!" She exclaimed, as she lifted her arms up to cover a blush. Marillion had some red on her face too, but she pushed Ladybird off of her with that distraction as she got back up before responding.
"I never said that though?" Marillion responded with confusion as Ladybird charged back screaming. "I didn't say that either, just give me the miraculous!"
Marillion sidestepped her, but Ladybird managed to snag the yoyo back, and hit the edge in the process. The villainess used that opening when she turned back to hit her in the stomach, which sent her falling down a few floors. She managed to catch herself, but dropped the yoyo even further down. She saw as Stoneheart and Chat Noir made it to Marillion, as Stoneheart kept climbing up to the top of the tower while Marillion swung her cane at Chat, who caught it with his baton. The fight was a lot more equal than against the yoyo, so Ladybird put her faith in her partner as she looked back down.
She needed to get the yoyo back if she wanted to be able to purify the akuma. As she jumped down a floor, another problem arose.
"Fuck." She swore out, ignoring the filters she developed from having to babysit her sisters for a year.
The Stoneheart clones were climbing up the tower, probably to assemble with the original. If she wanted to get the yoyo, she would need to fight them.
"I hope you can handle this Chat." She muttered to herself as she jumped off of a clone's head, and dove down another floor to where the yoyo was, where most of the clones had just reached. "This is gonna be close." She finished, as she picked up the yoyo.
Chat Noir blocked Marillion's cane as he looked up at Stoneheart. Throughout the entire climb, he had been trying to pry Mylene out of Stoneheart's grasp, but hadn't been able to get her out when they reached the platform where Marillion was. She started fighting him before he could try to get her out again as she called out to Stoneheart.
"I'll take care of this cat Stoneheart, you go to the top and talk to Mylene, ok!" She told him, and Stoneheart nodded before starting to go climb once more. Chat Noir extended his cane to jump over Marillion, and as he landed and they faced each other, he heard rumbling. He looked down and saw Ladybird had lost her yoyo, and the Stoneheart clones were climbing up. He turned back to the villainess only to see her looking at him.
"Why are you just looking at me? Don't you want to fight?" He asked her, to which she rolled her eyes.
"I was just making sure Stoneheart could keep climbing for the best view, but now we don't have to fight!" She exclaimed, as Chat raised an eyebrow in suspicion.
"You want to help him by turning him into a monster?" He asked incredulously, as he spun his baton waiting for the girl's retaliation.
"By letting him work out his emotions!" The girl exclaimed, as she started to lean on her cane instead of fighting back. "He was in pain this morning, heartbroken, and I had to help him! I didn't know that this would happen!" The two of them stopped relaxing and picked their weapons up in a fighting stance, preparing to continue their fight.
"Well having him harm other people doesn't seem like it's helping!" Chat yelled back, looking right into her eyes. She looked sincere with her beliefs, like she was actually trying to help.
"Well if he bottles up his feelings then he'll just explode!" She screamed at him, while backing away. "I'm helping him take care of his feelings! Besides that, he'd either explode after failing to keep them hidden because of people talking about them, or he'd live his life while being miserable due to those feelings."
Chat Noir could relate to that. He had to hide his feelings of resentment towards his father for not spending any time with him. He had to hide the fact that he didn't like being a model. He just wanted to be a normal teenager, one that doesn't have to deal with his face being plastered all over the city.
"Please, let me help Ivan. He deserves to let loose, everybody does!" Marillion pleaded with him. "I'm trying to help him process those feelings, and ask his crush out! Can't you let me do that!"
"Why should I believe you!" He asked her, giving her the harshest glare he could, hoping he could imitate his father. Marillion met his stare dead on with her response as water started to form in her eyes.
"Because I care!" Marillion screamed with tears in her eyes. With that declaration Chat realized. Marillion wasn't evil, she genuinely believed she was doing good. She didn't expect to get anything in return for trying to help. His glare gave up involuntarily while his heart, which had slowed down a bit from this shouting match, had started beating at double the speed.
Chat Noir then heard a shout and when he looked at where it came from, he saw Ladybird swinging up the tower, before circling around and knocking a Stoneheart copy off of the platform
"Keep fighting her kitty! I'll handle the minions and her servant!" She called, as she dove back down to stomp on another Stoneheart. Chat Noir steeled his resolve upon seeing his partner was fine as he approached Marillion.
"I believe that you care!" He exclaimed, which shocked Marillion, nearly causing her to drop the cane. "You're just….. misguided!" Marillion blinked at that
"Excuse me, what?" She asked with the blankest tone imaginable.
"You're misguided, but we can fix this!" He exclaimed. He'd seen enough anime to know how to do a redemption arc. A dashing hero, a cute villainess that means well, and love would fix everything. Chat would gladly become the love interest for this girl.
"I'll help you, just release the Akuma and we can talk things out! Maybe over dinner?" Chat explained, as Marillion had a completely confounded expression. He did see a small blush form on her cheeks, so Chat started to beam, while not noticing her eye twitching.
"Are you serious?" She deadpanned. He saw he needed to lay the charm down in order to convince her, as he continued.
"Don't worry, you can take your time on this decision! I'm not nocturnal though, so we could have lunch instead!" Chat said, while twirling his baton for some flair. He saw Marillion staring incredulously with her eye twitching, but she still had a small blush. Maybe Chat should start trying to flatter her.
"I'm sure that you would be purrfect in an evening dress though! You'd be pawsitively graceful" He said, throwing in some puns and a wink. He saw as Marillion gave out a sigh and lowered her arms, her cane going down with them. She approached him and when they were face to face, She gave him a smile. An adorable smile that caused him to start blushing, as she leaned closer to him. He thought that he had actually convinced her, only for that smile to turn into a smirk.
"Not in any of your nine lives." She snarked at him, and before he could register what she said, she swung her cane aiming for his crotch. He barely reacted fast enough to block with his baton, as they started their fight again. This time, Marillion had taken the advantage, due to managing to surprise him, and knocked him off the tower. As he fell, he heard a scream and saw Ladybird, right before they collided and crashed into the next platform. As they looked up to see Marillion giggling, with the heroes hiding a blush, they had one thing to say about the villainess.
"She is Amazing!" Chat Noir blurted out with a grin.
"She is Dead!" Ladybird growled through her clenched teeth.
"Alright, I think we have time now." Marillion told her Idol, as she turned away from the railing. Stoneheart and Mylene were at the very top of the tower, while she started to climb up. The heroes would definitely come back up, but she should have the time to handle the problem. She looked back at Stoneheart and Mylene, only to see her panicking.
"Stoneheart, give Mylene some room! She's panicking and being trapped like that won't help!" She called, hoping that he would listen and that she could help calm Mylene.
"Oh, I'm sorry Mylene!" He cried as he opened his hand so Mylene was sitting on his palm instead. This didn't help Mylene that much, because she looked over Stonehearts hand to see how high they were, before curling herself up into a ball. Stonehart's hand curled up around Mylene again, and Marillion knew she had to do something to ease the fear.
"I know you have to be afraid right now." She said to Mylene, hopping onto Stonehearts arm to be closer to her. Mylene looked at her with some fear, as she put her hand on her head and messed with her rainbow dreadlocks. "I promise that neither of us wanted to scare you. Right Stoneheart?"
He started to nod his head eagerly, which reminded Marillion of an energetic puppy. She gave Mylene a smile as she continued.
"He just wanted the confidence to talk to you. So could you please listen to him? I'm pretty sure that should do the trick!" Marillion explained as she removed her hand from Mylene's hair. Mylene looked at her and Stoneheart before squeaking and trying to hide behind his thumb.
"I just want to go home!" She cried out, as Marillion started to pat her back in an attempt to comfort her.
"I know, and you have no idea how sorry I am for this mess! But I can't let him turn back until he's got it off of his chest, and I'll need your help for that." Marillion said. Mylene seemed to be thinking of what she could do, as sat down next to the girl.
"Don't worry, he's not gonna hurt you, I swear. How about this, once he says what he needs to tell you, I'll bring you home myself! What about that!" Marillion exclaimed with a grin, while looking at Mylene.
"O-okay." Mylene said, looking somewhat hopeful, as she turned to Stoneheart. "I'll listen to you Ivan."
Stoneheart beamed, as he uncurled his palm and entered a sitting position.
"So, when I wanted to talk to you before the lesson this morning…" Stoneheart started, causing Marillion to give a smile at the two before jumping off of his arm. Best give the lovebirds some privacy after all. She was there to make sure he didn't go too far, Chloe wasn't able to provoke him, and without heroes to interrupt, his confession was sure to go smoothly. Marillion started humming to herself, happy that she was able to help. Everything was going to be alright.
"LUCKY CHARM!"
She had gone into her thoughts on how she could help other people by Idolizing them that she didn't hear the call of Ladybird's power, as she changed from humming to singing under her breath.
"I win, I win, I wi-" Marillions song was interrupted by something, that she managed to recognize as a goddamn parachute, slammed right into her face. It flung her into the railing and she shook off the stars in her vision.
"I don't think that was how you were supposed to use that." Chat Noir said as he landed on the platform. Ladybird made it soon after and rolled her eyes at what Chat had said.
"What, are you gonna catsplain my powers to me?" It worked perfectly fine!" Ladybird scoffed. Marillion glared at the two before calling to her Idol.
"Stoneheart, get Mylene to safety, again!" She yelled, before glaring at the duo and spinning her cane into a grip where she could use it as a weapon. "Because these idiots are back, again! So I'm going to kick their asses, AGAIN!"
Stoneheart jumped off of the tower and climbed down the railing as she blocked Ladybirds yo-yo and they started to fight. This proved to be a mistake as it allowed Chat to jump over to Stoneheart and attack the hand holding the tower. His sudden attack surprised Stoneheart, which caused him to let go of the railing. As he started to fall backwards, he instinctively opened his other hand to grab onto the railing, letting go of the Idol, but more importantly, causing Mylene to start falling!
"Catch Mylene!" She called in a panic, turning to the edge. Thankfully, he reacted fast enough to grab her arm and pull her up, as Chat Noir reached for the Idol, which were the song lyrics that Ivan wrote. He used his baton to bat it up as it landed next to Ladybird, who gave her a smirk. Marillion realized what was about to happen
"STOP!" She called to Ladybird too late, as the hero already destroyed the lyrics and the Idol emerged. Ladybird seemed surprised at the lilac color compared to the purple akuma, but Marillion ignored that as she saw Ivan go back to normal, as he and Mylene started to fall down.
Time felt like it had slowed down as she saw them falling. Marillion had seen a large amount of disastrous events play out around her or involve her for years, like the spider pool incident, because of her terrible luck. She never managed to see the domino chain fast enough to stop it, only to prepare for the fallout.
But things were different this time. Ivan and Mylene could die, and she had superpowers. Time started moving normally as her body started to move on her own, with her mind catching up with it.
There were three problems to deal with, Ivan falling, and Mylene falling, and the Idol because she did not want another swarm incident. There were also three people to help, herself, Chat, and Ladybird. Ladybird had to deal with the Idol and wouldn't notice them in time, and Chat Noir was falling closer to Ivan and could catch them with the baton. That left her with Mylene.
She grabbed the parachute that hit her, swinging it on haphazardly as she jumped off the tower. She didn't worry about the height, focusing on saving Mylene, as she thanked herself for her chronic lateness as she was able to quickly secure the parachute onto her back. She glanced over to Chat Noir, who managed to catch Ivan by using his Cataclysm on the tower. She rolled her eyes at how he forgot about the baton as she put her focus back to Mylene.
With all of her strength, she managed to grab Mylene's arms before pulling the parachute cord and slowing their fall. Mylene let out a sigh of relief as she clung to her like a lifeline.
"Don't worry, you're alright!" She giggled as she gave Mylene a soft smile. "I promised I'd get you back safely right?" She finished as they landed on the ground. Marillion heard a thump, and turned around to see Ladybird having just landed and glaring at her, Chat Noir right behind her. Marillion shrugged off the parachute and threw it at them before running away. All she hoped was that Ivan managed to confess, or at least get Mylene to listen to what he wanted to say next time he tried.
Marinette made it back to the school as she saw the swarm of ladybugs fix everything up. It was lunch time, and Marinette wanted to be safe and assume that classes would continue, instead of assuming they were canceled and being marked absent. She ran into the bathroom and locked herself in a stall, before pulling out her phone to check the news. Nooroo floated beside her as they looked at Miss Chamack's report, which was all about her.
"Both of the students in the attack are alive and unharmed, while all of the damage has been fixed thanks to Paris's new hero, Ladybird!" Nadja said with a surprising amount of optimism for that disaster. It doesn't look like this 'Marillion' supervillain is as big of a threat as we all were afraid of. Let's all hope that Chat Noir and Ladybird will continue to keep us all safe from her!"
"Keeping them safe?" Marinette said while rolling her eyes as she turned her phone off. "I'm the person that saved Mylene!"
"It's okay Marinette." Nooroo said as he turned to her with a said smile. "I'm sure the guardian will understand. At least we tried!"
"Wait, wha-" Marinette realized, before jumping and looking Nooroo in the eyes. "You can't go back! You'll just be trapped there forever!"
"It's safer like this. All I do is create chaos." He responded somberly as he floated up and started to pat her head. Marinette knew she couldn't let Nooroo leave like this, so she started to talk about what they had managed to do.
"Come on, look at what we did today!" She exclaimed, moving Nooroo onto her hand. Nooroo looked confused at how they did anything other than cause a crisis, so Marinette continued.
"Yeah, everyone thinks we're the bad guys, but that's alright! If it weren't for us, everyone there would still be frozen as a statue!" She exclaimed, staring right at Nooroo.
"You do have a point" Nooroo said, a smile starting to form.
"And Ivan! He was able to confess to Mylene, or at least he will be now! Don't you agree with me that they'd be an adorable couple?" She asked, as Nooroo nodded. Marinette kneeled down and let Nooroo float, as she finished her speech.
"Who cares about what everybody else says, we did some good today! Besides, I managed to throw Chat off of the Eiffel Tower!." She said, as her smile turned into a smirk. "That's gonna be the highlight of my week. Being Marillion was miraculous!" Nooroo smiled at her happiness, before suddenly frowning with a sigh.
"While it's nice that you enjoyed being transformed, what will you do when somebody is upset around you? You'll have to feel all of their pain too!" He cried out, as Marinette cupped her hands around him.
"Then we'll idolize them too to help them solve their problem!" She exclaimed, as Nooroo let out a surprised gasp. "Your powers are meant to help people like this, right? The disaster only happened because of Hawkmoth and Ladybird, and she can always fix everything if things go wrong. Besides!" Marinette started to finish as she booped Nooroo on the nose.
"I would really miss you if you trapped yourself in the box, you cutie!" She exclaimed with a grin. Nooroo felt tears of joy come to the surface as he bowed.
"Well, I will stay with you as long as you would like me to be with you, Mistress Marinette!" He said, which caused Marinette to roll her eyes.
"Please just call me Marinette!" She said as she opened the stall, making Nooroo fly into her purse as Marinette ran for the class.
Alya gave a sigh of relief when Marinette ran into the classroom. She had a heart attack when she saw her recording for the blog, and planned to tell her not to worry about recording the attacks anymore, no matter how much it warmed her heart that she cared about the blog. Everyone was talking about the heroes and Marillion, who confused Alya.
If Marillion stole the miraculous from Hawkmoth, why would she cause another villain attack? And why was the butterfly lilac instead of purple? Why was the villainess so insistent on calling Stoneheart an Idol instead of an akuma? Alya was going to be interrogating the cute villainess the next time they fought. Marinette had walked to their desk when Ivan spoke up in defense of Marillion, causing the two to turn to him.
"I'm telling you all, Marillion was really nice! I even have my memories from being Stoneheart this time, compared to last time." He said, while holding hands with Mylene, who was nodding with what he was saying. "She was honestly trying to help me!"
"Help you with what, destroying the city?" Kim snorted.
"No you dork, she was helping me to confess to Mylene!" Ivan said as he pumped his other fist in the air.
"So, Marillion's like a matchmaker? That's kind of underwhelming for someone who destroyed Paris." Nino commented while rolling his eyes.
"We shouldn't be taking a supervillain so lightly! There is a 92.5% chance that she will strike again." Max cried out.
"I'm not certain if she's a villain though." Mylene tried to argue. "She was nice the whole time, and she even saved my life!" That was when Alya decided to interject. She agreed with what Max and Kim said about her being a villain, but she saved Mylene's life, not Ladybird.
"Excuse me? Ladybird saved your life!" She called, as Marinette jumped beside her. "She freed you from Stoneheart, remember! Marillion knew she lost, so she was just trying to fix up her image. The parachute she used was made by Ladybird, remember? Checkmate!" Alya finished her argument against Marillion, as she heard Marinette sigh. Alya turned to look at Marinette, as she grabbed her arm and started pulling it. Alya was curious as to why she was getting pulled, only to see as Marinette pointed to the seat Chloe took from them.
"Let's sit here!" Marinette exclaimed, to which Alya gave a cheshire grin as she moved her stuff to their old seat from the first day.
Marinette was happy when she saw that Ivan managed to confess to Mylene, as Alya started to rant about Marillion. She didn't care about if people thought she was a villain or not, but hearing Alya be on Ladybirds side did hurt. The most wonderful girl in Paris was a fan of the most useless girl in Paris. Marinette pushed that thought away as Chloe approached her and Alya, as she grabbed one of her pigtails.
"Marinette! That's my seat, remember?" Chloe asked sarcastically while she pulled, as if she expected Marinette to move back. If Marinette hadn't met Nooroo, she would have moved back. But she was a supervillain now! This was her year of change, starting with Chloe.
"You know what Chloe, No! I've been dealing with you all throughout College, and I think we should change things around this year. I'm not putting up with your crap anymore! Why don't you sit in the front row!" Marinette shouted as she wrenched Chloe's hand off of her hair and slammed her hands on the desk. Chloe looked shocked for a second, as a blush came to her cheeks. Marinette braced for her rebuttal, but surprisingly, she sat down where she pointed before responding.
"You're gonna pay for that soon, Marinette. All that I have to do is tell my BFF, who just so happens to be Paris's hero, about this and she'll teach you a lesson for this!" She said, as her cheeks grew even redder and she had a cute dreamy expression as she talked about them. Marinette assumed she had to be talking about Ladybird, as both of them seemed to be nice at first, but then turned out to be rude at their core. It seemed Alya had the same idea as she snickered before responding.
"Really, Paris's rising star is your best friend? Why don't you tell us about her?" She said while rolling her eyes.
"The only person who should get to know anything about her is Ma- I mean, You don't deserve to know anything about her!" Chloe snapped, though Marinette was curious as to why she cut herself off originally. Nonetheless, Chloe. "But I suppose I'll bless you with my knowledge of her. She's the most powerful hero of Paris, and she's the prettiest one too, not to mention that she's just exceptional! She adores me, and she alone saved Paris from the superpowered menace yesterday!"
Alya, for some reason, looked proud at what Chloe was saying. Marinette didn't know why she was proud of Chloe complimenting Ladybird, but then Alya suddenly smirked.
"Wow Chloe! If I didn't know better, I'd say you have a crush on Ladybird." Alya responded with a small giggle. Everyone in the class started to laugh at that, crushes always brought out the immaturity in all of them. Marinette heard Chloe snort before a surprise happened.
"Who?" She asked, which caused all the laughter in the room to stop, with everybody freezing.
"Oh, you're talking about that incompetent red wannabe, right?" She asked, as Marinette heard Alya growl under her breath. "I would never be seen with that fashion disaster! The true hero, in both fashion and for Paris, is Marillion! Those tailcoats are simply exquisite!" Chloe exclaimed. Things were quiet for a moment, then the debate from earlier had started up once again, except things were much louder than before.
"Well, I can't respect Marillion anymore." Ivan said while rolling his eyes, as Mylene seemed to be in shock. "If she's friends with Chloe, we were certainly wrong."
Marinette frowned at that reaction. They were dismissing her as a villain just because of Chloe! Although, that was how she reacted to the model boy. She looked over to the front row where he was sitting with Nino, and decided that she would try to talk to him later, not knowing that he planned on doing the exact same thing with her later. Nonetheless, Marinette stood up as the impossible happened.
"I agree with Chloe." She said, and the entire class gasped. Hell froze over. Pigs grew wings and started to fly. The ruins of Atlantis floated up to the surface. Cultists in America successfully summoned Satan. Rolland Dupain realized that he might be a racist. For the first time since she was nine, Marinette had agreed with Chloe.
"Marillion did so much more than Ladybird did! Yeah, a disaster happened, but this was her first time with her powers, Ladybird caused a disaster too! Why does Ladybird get a pass but not Marillion! Without her, everybody would still be statues!" She yelled at everyone. Chloe was shocked, and her face was even redder than before. Sabrina was in a similar state as Chloe, while Alya was upset for some reason. Alya was about to respond but the bell rang as Miss Bustier came in, causing everybody to scramble for their desks.
The day ended, and Marinette ran to the exit of the school. She wanted to wait to talk with blondie, to see if he actually put the gum there or if he was doing something else. She planned to buy a stockpile of candy later to keep in her locker for Nooroo, but then it started to rain as she waited for him. Marinette was praying that it would just be a short rain shower, but she knew she wouldn't be that lucky. Then she heard someone approach from behind her.
"Hey there!" Marinette jumped at the voice and turned to see the guy she was waiting for, offering his hand as he opened the umbrella he held. "I'm really sorry about what happened this morning. I want you to know that I was trying to remove the gum from your seat. All this is new to me, I swear. How about we start over?" He asked, as they walked down the stairs. Marinette thought about it, before shaking his hand. That was when the umbrella closed over both of them, pushing their faces together. The two of them managed to open it back up, as they started giggling with reddened cheeks.
"I-I'm A-Adrien" He said, as his limousine pulled up and he entered.
"Ma-Ma-Marinette!" She responded, waving goodbye as the car pulled away while holding the umbrella. The moment he left she ran home, greeting her parents. She ran up to her room before opening her purse.
"Nooroo, what's wrong with me! Why am I feeling like this!" She asked while trying to get her cheeks back to normal. Nooroo started giggling as Marinette gave him a look before he responded.
"That feeling isn't fear! It's love! It means you have a big heart!" He exclaimed, making Marinette pause. That racing heart meant she was in love, not that she was in danger? She guessed it made sense for Adrien and Alya, but why would she feel like that around Sabrina or Chloe! Was it even okay for her to crush on more than one person? Marinette responded to that revelation the only way she knew how.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" She screamed, before falling onto her bed as Nooroo floated above her body.
"I think I broke her." Nooroo sighed, before curling up next to Marinette and going to sleep.
A few hours later, they both woke up, as Marinette had an idea for the miraculous.
"So, Nooroo. When I get the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, I'll give them to Alya and Adrien! They'd be way better heroes than Ladybird and Chat Noir!" She said with excitement, as Nooroo started giggling. Marinette shot him a pout, as Nooroo stifled the giggles.
"Are you sure they are better heroes, or do you just want to have superpowers with your loves?" He teased, as Marinette turned red and stormed up to the balcony.
[End Card: The scene is at the Eiffel Tower Platform and Split in half. On The Left, is Marinette with half of a white butterfly in her hand closest to the split. Her miraculous is in its sapphire camouflage and it is daytime. On the right, it's nighttime and Marillion is holding half of an Idol, with the miraculous having its wings out. She is twirling her cane in her hand furthest from the split.]
OMAKE:
Gabriel was watching the news of this Marillion with rage. He knew the miraculous had gone missing, but he assumed that Nathalie had taken it due to the damage from the akuma, not that it had been stolen!
"Nathalie, someone is wearing my miraculous!" He whispered in a calm rage, as she came behind him.
"I am aware sir." Nathalie responded in a bored tone.
"We must get it back, or else!" He said, looking all around the mansion. "I'll have renovated the house in vain!" He screamed, looking at the butterfly tiles, his butterfly label, and the butterfly farm in the basement.
