Okay I'm sorry I have to do something because my Elemental brainrot is consuming my life. I love this movie so much like it's not even funny. Please bear with me for a bit.

Ember woke up in the middle of the night with a gasp, reaching beside her out of reflex. When she heard the hiss of steam and felt water under her hand, she took a deep breath and calmed down. After catching her breath, the young flame got out of bed and went to the kitchen for a cup of lava java. She didn't care that it was 3:00 in the morning, she just needed to ground herself.

After sipping on the molten liquid for a few minutes, she heard wet footsteps and looked to see Wade come into the kitchen. "Ember? You okay?", he asked groggily. She cleared her throat and tried to sound tough. "Y-yeah. I'm fine. Why?"

"Uh... cause it's 3:00 AM and you're drinking something designed to wake you up", he deadpanned. Ember rolled her eyes and groaned. "How are you so good at seeing through my lies?" Wade chuckled and placed his hand atop hers. "Because I know you, Ember Lumen." She squeezed his hand and sighed while resting her head on his shoulder.

"I... I had a nightmare", she admitted, "A bad one."

"What happened?"

Ember's lips quivered as she recalled the details. "You... you went to your new job... and there was a machinery malfunction... the building exploded and you... you evaporated." Fiery tears began dripping from Ember's eyes as she deflated slightly; and Wade was, of course tearing up as well. "Ember... I'm sorry... it wasn't real. I'm okay." She nodded and hugged her water guy boyfriend tightly, their steam's hissing calming her nerves.

"I love you, Wade", she sobbed against him.

"I love you, too", he responded caringly while patting her back.

After they stood in silence for a few moments, Wade cleared his throat. "Well... since we're awake... I've been meaning to ask you something."

Ember pulled back from the hug and raised an eyebrow. "What is it?" The water guy raised his finger and said "gimme a sec", before rushing back to the bedroom. He came back a few second later with his hands behind his back, his shirt keeping her from seeing what he was holding.

"Ember... these past months with you have been the best time of my life... our adventure together seems like it's only just beginning. Remember after the flood when you said you wanted to have me in your life forever?" She nodded, and Wade took a deep breath before continuing. "Well... I want the same thing." He dropped down to one knee and moved his hands around to reveal a small velvet box. Ember gasped and took a step back, her eyes tearing up again. "W-Wade..."

"Will you marry me, Ember Lumen", he askedbluntly, "and make me the happiest dewdrop in the world?" The fire girl was trembling as she pondered the question. Wade simply waited patiently for her answer, managing to hold in his tears for once in his life.

After what felt like an eternity of silence, Ember finally spoke. "Tishók."

"I-is that a yes?", Wade stammered, his arms starting to get tired.

"Wade Ripple, it's the most emphatic yes I've ever given anybody in my life", Ember sobbed as she dropped to her knees and put her hands on his shoulders, "I want us to embrace the light while it burns."

Wade took the ring out of the box and showed it to Ember. It was an titanium band with a bright red sapphire in the center. She held up her hand and let him slide it onto her finger, crying her fiery tears once again. Wade hugged Ember tightly, their steam having a whole new meaning.
