I don't own danmachi this is just a story based on the same universe made for entertainment purposes (however the OC is created by myself and I plan to implement it in other stories in the future),this story will be based on the danmachi canon but I plan to add content of events from the game and the movie but it will be much later ,I hope you like it and give me your support to continue writing and don't forget to support the creator of danmachi light novels so he can continue with that splendid work.

I find myself stranded in the dark, alone, floating in an abyss that seems to be infinite.

The last thing I remember is how my world was perishing. Apparently, the existence of the apocalypse was true, we humans just didn't realize it. When it came it was too late to do anything, we could only accept our fate. Although there were some who resisted and fought to the end it was useless, no matter what they did it was too late to avoid what came. I will not say what I saw, it is almost impossible to describe. I can only think that the punishment we received was too much, even with the numerous sins we carried, not everyone deserved that end.

The cries of despair that people gave before that fateful end still echo in my mind. The helplessness I felt at not being able to do anything for my loved ones and the ignorance of the fate that awaited them only serve to torment me. Even now that it is all over I cannot rid myself of those memories that cause me so much pain.

A big part of me wants to just disappear and for the pain to fade away, but that wish is not fulfilled. No matter how much I want it to be over, the end does not come.

I don't know if it was luck or misfortune, but I managed to escape that fate. I don't know how it happened, but I suppose that when the end of a world's life comes, everything falls apart, even the concept we have of space and time. Theorizing, it is very likely that I find myself in the void between worlds, a place different from the one I call home.

I can only guess that at any moment my body may fall apart, until that happens, I can only ramble. If I had one regret it would be that I could not have done anything to prevent the fate of my world. It sounds silly, but I feel that, had I studied, tried harder and had more confidence, I could have become someone important. Maybe I could have influenced the world situation a little to give us more time, but it's useless, it's useless to regret, it's useless to regret, it's useless to sleep and wait for death to come.

As time goes by I feel all my memories and worries fade away, as the pain disappears from deep inside me I can only wish for one last thing.

"If I had another chance, I would do anything to prevent this ending."

"I would do whatever it takes so that no innocent soul would see their world perish."

Releasing that last wish into nothingness, I resign myself to the fact that my existence will vanish forever.

But this destiny never came to me. I didn't know if it was this place that prevented me from disappearing completely or if this was the torture that would await me for eternity. The only thing I could do was wait for something to happen.

I was like this for a long time, whether it was hours, days or years, I thought it would never end.

Until I saw a flash, or so I thought because it didn't appear again. All I could do is stand in the same place, watching, waiting all the time or as close as there is to it here. Until I saw it again, and then it became a star, a bright light, growing, shining brighter and brighter. To the point that I can no longer keep my eyes open, enveloping myself in that light I could hardly remember anymore, drowning in its brightness without being able to do anything, devouring every fiber of my being, perhaps ending my life.

When I came to my senses I noticed the change of environment. First, I felt something solid beneath me. As I opened my eyes I could see the sky, with the position of the sun indicating that we were in the evening hours. As I stood up I looked down at my feet and noticed that the ground seemed to have slabs of stone, which covered the entire surface of the ground. As I looked around me I noticed that I was surrounded by several houses of different sizes and shapes, and as I turned behind me I could see that the number of houses was increasing to the point that it looked like a maze.

I did not understand what was happening so I decided to take a moment to remember what had happened. As time passed and I was able to concentrate I managed to remember that I was in what seemed to be an abyss of darkness, I also vaguely remembered how I had arrived at that place.

I felt a great pain in my chest when I remembered that and I couldn't help shedding some tears while I was lamenting what had happened. It took me a while to calm down, I knew I couldn't let the sadness consume me. When I managed to do that I noticed something strange, I had overlooked something.

"I can't remember their faces."

My parents, siblings, relatives and acquaintances, the face of each of them had disappeared from my memories. Perhaps a side effect of having been in that place for so long, I knew I could not simply ignore that event, but there were more important things now.

I did not know my current location, the structure of the houses around me was unfamiliar to me.

As I approached them I touched them to make sure they were not an illusion, and when I did so I noticed that they were different from what I remembered.

Not only the shape of the structure, but also the material it was made of. I continued walking and noticed that nothing here was familiar to me and when I looked up I saw something strange.

I moved to a position where I could observe it better and I could see it. A large tower, the tip of which seemed to touch the sky. I could not see it for long as I felt it hurt my neck.

I didn't understand what was happening, I had never seen such a tall structure in my life. Not even the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa could compare. Although I admit to never having seen that skyscraper in person in my world, I have seen enough videos to be able to estimate its actual size and it is easily surpassed by the great tower I am looking at.

In a way that confirms that I'm not in my world, but that doesn't tell me exactly where I am. I continue walking, only this time I'm heading towards the tower while trying to remember if I read something like that in a fantasy novel.

The place where I was at the moment looked like a labyrinth, but for the tower that I used to guide me I would have been lost. On the way I came across several alleys, for my safety I decided not to enter them. Noticing that I was not going very fast I decided to increase my speed and run, but a few seconds after I started running I tripped and fell.

When I got up I looked for the cause of my fall and found it quickly, there was a body lying next to where I was going. I carefully approached him and when I turned him over I noticed that he was dead.

I felt my body tremble at the sight, but there was something that caught my attention. Just above his head were animal ears, specifically those of a dog.

Trembling slightly I decided to touch them and noticed that they were real, after that I took a breath before starting to search him. When I finished I decided to take off the tunic that covered him and a scarf he was wearing, after that I put on both garments and left the body behind.

Finally, after much walking I was able to leave that place, on the way I was able to accommodate my ideas and almost came to a conclusion about my current location.

In order to confirm this, he directed me to what looked like a large street that led directly to the great tower. As I entered it I could see it with my own eyes.

I was able to see the people in that world and so I knew where I was.

In that street there were several humans, but there were also fantasy races such as elves, dwarves, demi-humans and Amazons. So many races living together in one place, that made it all clear.

"This is the city of Orario."

A city belonging to a series of fantasy novels I used to read in my world, I remember I used to read them in my free time along with other popular novels in the Spanish-speaking fandom.

The main characteristics of this city that is known as the center of this world are the subway labyrinth and the tower of Babel.

The subway labyrinth also called dungeon or dungeon, is a territory that has not yet been fully explored and even after 1000 years of exploration still holds many secrets. But what is known is that different species of monsters emerge from its walls, ceiling and floor and that no matter if they are eliminated, the dungeon itself replenishes the numbers.

It is a site that has different floors and the deeper you go, the size of the floors, as well as the quantity and general strength of the monsters receive a considerable increase to the previous floor. New species of monsters also appear and the speed at which the dungeon produces new monsters is increased.

Due to the danger that the dungeon represents, only a select few people can explore it, they must receive the falna of a god beforehand and have registered in the adventurer's guild in order to be able to exploit the subway dungeon.

First of all, what is falna?

It is the blessing bestowed by a god that establishes a bond between the two, whereby the one who receives the blessing unlocks his latent potential and becomes part of the Family of the god.

But why are there gods living with mortals?

The answer to that goes back more than 1000 years, before the gods descended to the nether world. This world was plagued by monsters, which threatened to extinguish all races on the surface.

At that time the dungeon created uncontrolled monsters that came out of the dungeon to the surface and attacked any other intelligent race they saw. Because of that the different races of the surface were close to extinction and to avoid that the gods sent their favorite creations, the spirits.

These formed contracts with members of different races and gave them their power, these chosen ones were known as the great heroes. Thanks to them they were able to avoid extinction and after thousands of years of struggle and sacrifice they were able to reach the exact place where the monsters came out and thus sealed the entrance of the same by building a structure over it.

At the same time that happened. The strongest hero, Albert Waldstein faced the strongest monster of that era, the Black Dragon. After a long battle the hero managed to stun the beast causing it to flee, but this feat cost him his own life.

Even so, these two great events marked the end of an era in this world. The era of heroes was over and with its end a new era began.

The surface dwellers saw pillars of light descend to earth, and from them the gods emerged. Some of them crashed into the structure that sealed the entrance to the dungeon and as compensation for destroying it they gave the mortals a gift.

It was at that moment that the era of the gods began, when the first god gave his blessing to a mortal, thus initiating the myth of the Family.

Thanks to the strength granted by the falna of the gods the surface dwellers were able to explore the depths of the dungeon for the first time and to prevent the monsters from escaping a gigantic structure was built over the hole in the earth leading to the dungeon.

This structure would be called the tower of Babel and to manage the entry and exit of people to and from the dungeon the guild was created.

This organization was founded by the main god, Ouranos, who was not only the first god to give a blessing to a mortal, but also the pillar of what would become the future city of Orario.

This would be a summary of the history of this world, apparently it seems like a fantasy world where anyone can achieve power and glory, but the reality is different.

"This couldn't be happening."

I did not understand why I was in this place, it was as if my torture did not end.

My world perished and I have lost everything, and the second chance at life I got was in a world doomed to destruction.

My legs lost their strength and I fell to the ground, I could only cry and pour out all my pain in wailing. Some people approached me curiously, but I did not understand anything of what they were saying to me.

It was several minutes before I had the strength to try to get up, and when I looked up I saw the crowd that had approached me.

There were several types of looks that observed me, some of distrust, others of sorrow and others with empathy. But among them I noticed some that broke my heart, seeing the innocent looks of some children and knowing the destiny that awaited them made me not be able to go any further and I ran away without any definite destination.

After I don't know how long I was able to get away from people and had time to think about what I would do. I was tired in every way, but I couldn't just give up and expect to die. I spent a long time analyzing my situation and came to a conclusion with myself.

"I don't know why I'm here, but if I've been given a second chance I should take it."

I already made a big mistake once, the fact that I did nothing to change my world. I don't plan to die with the regret of making the same mistake twice.

He did not know in what exact era he had fallen, but he did know that this world was short on time. If he wanted to be able to change that he had to gain the necessary power and knowledge.

Although I had several doubts in my mind and had not fully recovered I knew what I had to do.

"I will accomplish nothing if I stand still and do nothing, I must find a god and receive his blessing."

That was the first step to take and thanks to having been able to calm down a little, I already had the right god in mind.

With a set goal in mind, I headed for the tower of Babel.

Hi guys, I've decided to edit the chapters. I hope you like this new version. That said, I'll say goodbye. See you in the next chapter.
