Chapter One
On April 1, 2020, early that morning, Alex and Ana were meeting for the first time at his place, Ana was so nervous to meet him for the first time because had only seen the pictures that she had sent to him. One night Alex called Ana late at night, Ana was surprised that Alex had called her, but she was glad that he did call her because Ana had something that she had to talk about with Alex. The call was them listening to country music and Ana was watching him playing video games, Ana was being a smartass and saying smart comments to Alex after he would lose or get killed in the game.
The more they were talking the more they found out what they had in common, and they found out that they both liked Jeff Dunham and they had their inside joke, Ana had her nickname for Alex, and it was "Inside Joker " They were planning out when they could meet, and they made up a plan for Ana to sneak out of her house after her dad had gone to bed and it was at midnight when the friend of Alex's would pick her up and drop her off at his place. Alex and Ana were talking and getting to know each other. Ana was not sure if Alex knows that she was trying to flirt with him secretly Alex knew that she was flirting with him, and he knew she was flirting with him because Alex was an empath meaning he could feel her emotions as she was talking to him and know how someone was feeling just by talking to them. She was blushing a lot and she was realizing that she was falling in love with Alex as they were talking to each other.
Alex started to use sign language to talk to her, not knowing if she knew what he was talking about, to his surprise she knew what he was talking to her about. They started talking about things that they liked to do, they both liked to go hunting and fishing even though Ana has never gone hunting or fishing, they both liked off-road riding, and then again Ana had never gotten to go off-road riding, but Ana would like to go with Alex to do all the things she had not done before. Alex and Ana talked about taking to Ruidoso, New Mexico; that is the best place to hunt and even fish. Alex was going to talk to his folks about letting Ana go with him on this hunting and fishing trip and even talking about on a trip to Florida with him one day with his brother.
They were talking in sign language to each other, and they were drinking, and smoking weed, and it was like 3:00 in the morning, Ana was ready to go back home before her dad woke up and caught her out of the house but, Ana didn't have a way to get back home. Ana didn't live very far from where Alex lived, so Alex left his home and walked Ana home at 3:00 in the morning, Ana was so nervous and scared that she was walking home so late at night, but she knew that she was safe when Alex is with her. Ana knew that she would fall in love with Alex, and she did. When Ana got to her house with Alex she said to Alex "You know I had a wonderful time tonight, thank you for letting me come over and hang out with you and just chill with you. Please text me when you get back home, so I know you made it home safe" as Ana smiled at Alex waiting for him to say anything back to her as she looked into his eyes.
Alex smiled and replied to her "I had a great time tonight too darling, and I will text you when I get back home, I will be safe don't you worry I have my staby thing remember" Ana smiled back at him and saying 'oh yeah I remember, but I just want you to be safe because I care about you" Ana wanted to hug him or even kiss him on his cheek, but she knew it would have been too soon to do that since they had just met each other, but Ana was hoping that Alex didn't know that she was trying to flirt with Alex. Alex knew that Ana was flirting with him from the money that they had met without even having to tell her that he knew, Alex thought that Ana was very beautiful and had a kind soul md a good heart and that they would make a great couple together.
She was scared that her dad would be up and waiting for her wondering where she was but when she quietly walked into her house and quickly changed clothes pretending to go into the kitchen to get a drink of water so that her dog would wake and bark so her dad would wake up and come on to check on Ana, Ans was standing in the kitchen with a glass of water, her dad signs to Ana half asleep, half awake "Are you ok? The dog was barking at the bedroom door" Ana signs back to her dad "yes, I'm okay I was just getting a drink of water, going to the bathroom. Go back to bed dad." Ana's dad is deaf and lost his hearing soon after birth. Ana felt bad about sneaking out because of her dad's deafness, if something were to happen her dad would not know about it, and Ana would feel horrible if something happened, but then she was glad that she did because she got to finally meet Alex.
The next morning at 9:00 in the morning, Ana received a text message from Alex's friend who picked her up, saying that Alex had never made it home. You were worried and texted Alex saying "Hey, where are you, I heard that you never made it home after walking me home last night. Text me when you get this message. I hope you are okay. I am worried about you, just please be okay." Ana is going to wait for a few hours and then call him to see if he answers her call. At 1:00 in the afternoon, Alex called Ana and told her that he was okay and that he had just blacked out and granted he did not know his way around the town. Ana was so glad that he was okay and that he was safe at home.
Later that day, after Ana's dad went to bed, Alex called Ana and they were talking several hours into the night they were watching Jeff Dunham and Ana was daydreaming about them being together, Alex has not asked her out yet and Ana was just so nervous thinking that he would never ask her out and that they would just be friends, but Ana finally got the courage to ask Alex how he feels about her. Alex was honest with her telling her "Ana, I think you know the answer to the question you just asked me. You know I do have feelings for you, I was just waiting for the right moment to tell you that I do want to be with you. As soon as we met, I knew that we would have a lot in common, and of course, all the inside jokes that we share" Ana smiles as she is blushing on call. Alex cannot see her face because Ana does not like to show her face on camera because of how shy Ana is. Ana is trying to be open with Alex and talk about things with him and how she is feeling.
Ana wants to be more open with Alex, but she is scared that she would push him away if he knew what she was truly feeling. Ana is thinking of what to say to Alex in reply to what he said to her, Ana smiled, and she replied to Alex saying "I am glad you told me, I was afraid you did not have feelings for me and that you just wanted to stay friends. It is a surprise how much we have in common. I feel like we connected right away from all the inside jokes and the smartass comments we made to each other.
