Digimon Tamers AU: The Lone Royal Knight Returns
Chapter 1:Encounter with the lonesome Knight
(AN: I was inspired by Legend of the Royal Knights with Davis (I don't want to seem like a copycat but I love rukato and Takato is gallantmon so yea) but more importantly it may be similar but I won't copy all of it and it will have my own spin of things with some stuff from my other favorite animes too. Possibly been doing a lot of editing and some stuff might be missing cause I was touching it up a bit. This is not completely Perfect!)
During the activation of the first computer, a program was formed to create a virtual simulation of developing life. The system was dubbed the Yggdrasil System, after the ancient tree of Scandinavian lore, and eventually developed its own AI, King Drasil. The Digital World it created eventually split into its own reality, with true living creatures within it made from the Human team called the Monster Makers.
King Drasil, though the creator of the world, went to war against the new enemy called:the Nightmare army led by millenniummon and his Seven Demon Lords made from a human virus. He was defeated,wounded and formed the Order of Royal knights by calling forth help from the Human world to save both worlds and 13 children answered who were pure of heart as well as their character was honorable. Because his power was drained and he went into hiding, he formed the Digimon Sovereigns to watch over the four quadrants of the world, gave each of them a fourth of his power to manipulate the world, and then entered a dormant state inside the spring at the world's center. The Digimon Sovereign had made four gates with barriers to protect the computers which held back a full invasion from the digital world of the darkest of Digimon made from the darkest of the human network.
Once in the Eastern to all Quadrants of the Digital World, a Great War between King Drasil creator of the digital world and his Holy Knight army of Knightmon against the large army of Devidramon and Nightmare army of the Seven Demon Lords. The war ended when the 13 children who were called upon became known as the Royal Knight gaining Digimon partners. They were known as the 13 Legendary Heroes. The Quadrants gates of the digital world were connected to hemispheres of the real world. It was the royal knight's job to monitor the movements of Digimon breaking the dimensional divide. They were the guardians of network security.
-Western Quadrant-
Takato Matsuki, he was 14 years old wearing sneakers and a large black jacket with the hazard symbol on the back, wearing fingerless gloves. He had a special Digivice called the D-ZX which was the most advanced Digivice created by a Digimon named wiseman made for the Royal Knights for Resonance evolution to their. He had two long thin metal sheaths on his back in a crossed position sticking behind his neck under the jacket with the hazard symbol on the back. The device on his arm was like a gauntlet using a hologram to choose a number of cards on record. He pulled a holographic hologram of a map of the area from his goggles from looking at his wrist. As anyone around him wouldn't see it besides him through his goggles.
There was armor under his sleeve on his opposite arm and over his D-Gauntlet with the royal guard symbol on the shoulders of his jacket. He had a crest(similar to season 1) with the hazard symbol on it as like a badge of his rank in the digital world. His other name was the Royal Knight of Hazard:Gallantmon.
He was finally called back to earth bringing hard sad memories that plagued his mind only to be shoved to the back of his mind to focus on the task at hand. Takato was on the hunt for Digimon that seemed to appear for the purpose of gaining tamers of their own. He sighed as this was the most boring of the quadrants. There was a dangerous Digimon that was Darker and hunted Digimon and also humans that had escaped the Dark Ocean and Dark Area. He is a skilled fighter having fought in the war against the demon lords when he was seven including his parents. He lost lots of Digimon Allies to the demon lords as well as humanoid beings to them as they were data. The war took its toll on his psyche and he was a focused mature fighter despite being fourteen years old. The remnants of the war still lingered and another would no doubt start as it would seem that their seal on the gate had been failing as well as on their greatest foe . The thirteen teenagers now as they went to the digital world when they were 7 were now going to face another war 6 years later. Their job was to prepare for that war to come.
He was heading for the digital field of a new digital appearance of a Digimon with Gigimon in his arm under his elbow and was face to face with a red headed girl about his age with a large fox that was absorbing data. "Who are you?" Takato asked only to receive a glare from the girl. "I could ask the same from you, Gogglehead," Referring Takato's goggles on his head. "Why do you only have your Digimon in your arms? It's so weak to collect data from Renamon."Renamon was about to attack, seeing the small digimon should be easy enough."It's about the training level mostly." Rika pulled out her digivice.

She proceeded coldly staring at the strange boy with goggles wanting to get to a new area and move on to the next strong opponent. "Get him already Renamon…you need to only get stronger…" Takato was about to reply when Renamon attacked, leaving no room for a response . "Diamond Storm!" This was inefficient as an energy shield that resembled from when his royal knight form held it, his aegis shield appeared in the front of his raised palm. This surprised Rika as she didn't expect that or Renamon for that matter was on the ground a moment later when a hazard spear impacted her but since she was a virus buster type. She didn't take damage but it affected her. Takato then threw Gigimon into the air so he could fight. "Go Gigimon and digivolve…" The small reptile nodded.
Digivolution
Gigimon…digivolves to…..Guilmon!"
Guilmon is a bipedal dinosaur-like creature with red scales and yellow eyes. It has three claws on each hand and two claws on the front of each foot, and one claw on the back of each foot. It also has two wing-like appendages on its head. It also has white scales on its belly, and a Digital Hazard symbol on it. It also has black horizontal lines on its arms, legs, neck, back, and tail, two black marks under its eyes, and a black triangle mark on each shoulder. Rika pulled out her digivice to check his stats.

"Rock breaker!" The red Dino Digimon instantly uses its claws to hit Renamon then opens his mouth. "Pyro-sphere!" A fireball shot at Renamon stomach hitting its mark and using his tail to leap and using his claws again. "Rockbreaker!" Renamon never thought the dinosaur was so fast seeing as she was often thinking she was fastest. Guilmon dodged and swerved each strike of the nimble Kitsune as Guilmon showed off his scars from past battles as well. Cuts,stab marks, even some red marks where it was burned.
Takato uses his hazard energy and infuses digital Hazard energy to his feet to appear behind Rika, wrapping his arm around her and choking her from behind. Rika, knowing herself in fighting elbowed him which broke his hold but he didn't stop moving forward as he did follow it by a roundhouse kick to her back when he appeared again at faster speed. Renamon was going to her aid. When Renamon was sent into the side of the bridge from another rock breaker creating a crater from the impact making her cry out in pain, feeling it so much that she couldn't move her body.
Guilmon joined his tamer, placing his claws by Rika's throat, stopping Rika in her tracks. The amount of fury and seriousness in the Dino's eyes was the point that the claws drew some blood. "Enough Guilmon before we are caught…she's learned the lesson…if needed we can delete her Digimon if friends are just tools…to be made stronger."
Rika started to get up looking at him coldly."Friends? I would like to see you try to fight cause digimon aren't friends, digimon can fight…as that's what they were born to do and only thing they can do!" Rika went into a stance and swiped a power card.
Takato was not phased and sighed as he pulled two handles from his sheaths on his back and ignited them like a energy blade as the sheaths contained the digital energy into large blades but sheaths had the length and style as Kodachi blades. The blades on his hand were called: Pan-Dora. Pan-Dora are two large digital swords, with the only difference being that one is magenta and the other is teal, and are described to have an eerie shape with a guard that has a pattern resembling an eye, with both patterns together resembling a monster's eyes. Takato charged Renamon and blocked her diamond storm attacks with his shield and Guilmon used his rock breaker as well. Combining these two attacks, Renamon was on the ground and Takato using his Chaos energy to be in front of Rika drawing blood somewhat from his blades crisscrossed in front of her neck showing the redhead they were real blades that she has never seen before. "If you care nothing for your Digimon then you don't mind if I deleted her…"
Takato moving to the left then slashed forward at Renamon who leaped to defend her tamer however was surprised when Takato knew where she was going but her body was slashed causing her to cry out and her back with a slash on her fur infected her data itself which sent back to the fence, face first and before he could bring in the final blow. "Enough!"
Takato turned to a boy with blue hair and an orange sweater and pants wearing sneakers. The smaller Digimon on his back was ready to leap but knew that Takato wasn't a normal opponent. "You don't need to continue…she's down already and I think she learned her lesson…already the first time…right-…?"
"Yea, she just got the butt kicked of the lifetime no need to add real blood!" The small riding Digimon yelled with long ears. Takato could see Digimon was shaken and nodded.
He turned to the redhead that seemed to be in shock at how her Digimon was so close to being deleted forever ignoring her own pain. Takato kicked renamon down with no remorse. "Make sure your Digimon is at least ultimate to fight me…"
Takato nodded again to her angered look and put his two blades on the sheaths on his thigh. He looked at them both with a look of annoyance. "I have a mission to complete and I don't really have time to play with you guys anyway…" Guilmon looked at his tamer with a look while then turning to Rika who was stunned while Guilmon growled at her then turned to his tamer with an innocent look followed by his stomach growling. "Takato-mon I'm hungry…." Takato,his name now being revealed, made him sigh at the clueless nature of his Digimon partner. "Takato as in Takato Matsuki?" The blue haired boy questioned. "You know who this is Henry?" The small Digimon replied asking who the new kid tamer was and was scared of how he easily defeated Renamon. He was confident but he saw that both him and his Digimon were no joke.
"Yea,he lost his parents in a car crash…" Takato flinched at that as Henry continued. "He's been missing since there was no body recovered."Takato sent his aura at the blue haired boy which sent him flying and the small Digimon got in front of his tamer only to be sent flying from the Digital Mana that Takato released. "Enough already please…-" Takato says with his eyes glowing, making Henry stop talking, feeling the killing intent from the boy so the blue haired boy only nodded. "Thank you now I don't have time for this…"
"Takato!" Takato pulled out his digivice and an image appeared. "We got a unit of Devidramon and a blackwargreymon too." Takato sighed as he didn't have time for this. "Guilmon, call Grani, we need to help Yuri and the others."
"Yes,Takato-mon." Takato standing while the tamers by him were blasted away as Guilmon growled loudly in releasing a shockwave into the air to be like as if it was a thunderous sound and Takato then looked up as a winged ZERO arms approaching them and Takato leaped on as he glared at Henry. "You start talking about my past again and I'll go after your dad and his organization…as well as your Digimon…"
The two then disappeared. "Ok who was that?" The girl asked the dark blue haired boy. Henry shrugged. "I'm curious about that too…"
"Who are you guys?"
"I'm Henry Wong and you should already stop Rika, don't think I don't know you either, you always hunt Digimon…"
-two days later-
Rika continues to look for Takato all over Shinjuku. Meanwhile, Takato was with Guilmon in the digital world. They were heading to the latest sightings of Digimon that were coming from the digital world and it was the job of the royal knights to monitor those things and also making sure their secrets were protected. There is also the fact that there was a war in the digital world that had started again. During which, he was sent because the digital world darkest often took advantage of the Chaos. Some dark Digimon escaped to the human world as well.
Takato preferred to work alone and was back in the real world within a couple more days. The royal knights all had different places all around the city. They had humanoid agents that supported the royal knights with help. "Takato,we have another sighting near your position…" Takato heard from an earpiece connected to his goggles. "Got it, citadel can you do a last known to the other tamers based on their Digivices…"
He was leaping rooftops using his hazard digital Energy. Whenever there is a virus he can always absorb the mana energy and that was the source of his powers.
As he approached the digital field, he was sensing a powerful Digimon. He also sensed two more auras approaching but ignored them as gigamon had digivolved. Takato was wondering about the increasing number of digital monsters coming through. He used his aura to make his aegis shield as he blocked a Diamond Storm of crystals that bounced off his shield and saw Guilmon who moved in a blur in front of the yellow Kitsune who attacked and his chest glowed when he instantly opened his mouth. "Pyro Sphere!" He then followed it with another attack with his arms glowing. "Dragon Slash!" (Plasma Blade)
Guilmom Develops plasma along the blades on its elbows, then strikes Renamon catching her off guard.
The powerful flame shot hit Renamon sending her back with so much force and burned her fur as he continued the barrage despite being rookie level. The plasma blade finished her off and she was on the ground with a slash from Guilmon that glowed off her data being damaged, which was starting to scare Rika and Henry. Takato turned to the gorillamon as it was then a group of them. "Wait, don't delete them! I know their leader…!"
Takato looked at the blue haired boy with an annoyed expression. "I have more stuff to do than deal with the pacifist and a hot headed beauty over there…Guilmon take them out then let's report back…" Guilmon nodded and Takato pulled out his D-X and swiped a blue card while pressing it on the screen. "Digi-modify! Digivolution activated!"
'He can digivolve his Digimon?! And what is that digivice?!' Both Rika and Henry thought.

A large red Dino was materialized and Takato watched as he swiped a royal speed card and a royal power card pressing them on the screen of his digivice hologram. Growlmon roared and Takato plainly started sitting down as his Digimon only growled again and controlled his digivolved state. This made Rika more jealous that he could digivolve his Digimon with ease.
The red Dino was on top of the gorilla easily dodging the blaster while also using his tail to deflect the Diamond storm crystals. This made Rika more frustrated as she used cards too but Growlmon was using specialized cards from King Drasil himself from a hologram. Lee was trying to reason with Terriermon on working with them to stop Digimon. "Wait, why can't we avoid the fight and stop the Digimon together because it won't solve…" He was interrupted by his partner. "Cmon Henry stop trying to work with big fur ball and also the crazy redhead and foxy as well as the brooding…-"
"-…You finish that sentence and my blade will delete you…" Takato interrupted as Growlmon then used his claws hacking and slashing as the gorillamon was from the beginning just a group of Digimon who were corrupted by devimon which Henry didn't know then finished off the Digimon group before anyone could see or get hurt by them and went back to being Gigimon after absorbing their data. "If you're going to be a pacifist then leave this to us and stop playing around already…I don't have time already. As for you…"
He turned to Rika. "You really need to realize that Digimon can't be pushed and also Digimon aren't tools but seems enough that you don't know anything….you kept fighting me over and over even when you knew my Digimon was more skilled. He can even digivolve to champion but doesn't need too and still push your own, you're pathetic and Renamon doesn't deserve you." He used one of his blades and then sent a digital aura energy of chaos straight at renamon making her fly while breaking several trees and forming a crater where she was unconscious with cuts all over her body and even her data started to show as she was close to be absorbed and deleted from all her damage from earlier from just Guilmon.
He then absorbed and corrupted several security cameras and put himself in hazard energy sphere to block any attacks as he sensed himself with the cameras in the area using the corruption virus energy he had to computers. He tried to sense his quarry and cursed. "Thanks a lot I was tracking someone and now I lost him cause you wanted to play pacifist…!" He turned to the blue haired boy in a frustrated growl as well as Rika who disrupted his plans.
He turned to his Digimon. "Call Grani I'll ride him for now and you take the low road. You need to work off your appetite." Guilmon nodded obediently and innocently like a child he was, Henry replied to him. "What is your mission and who or what are you?"
"I don't have to answer anything you said, you are simply people who are getting in the way of releasing darkness into our world, when that dark knight destroys this city or at least part of it, I'll personally make sure your Digimon pay their own visit to King Drasil!"
"You mean the King is back?" Terriermon stated scared. As much as he was powerful in his mind, King Drasil was by far the most powerful Digimon and one who created the digital world. Takato looked at Renamon who then turned to him as he pulled out his digivice and let a hologram show his emblem of the clustered symbol of the royal knights as well as Gallantmon's symbol and she kneeled in response. "I'm very sorry to interrupt your mission," She heard King drasil and his royal knights were lost and were often a legend in the Digital world, king drasil was also injured fighting a great Evil that threatened the world of Digimon during his last reign during the Great War.
Before Takato could respond Rika spoke up. "Renamon what are you doing? He's just a kid like us…"
"I'm sorry Rika you may be my tamer but you don't know of stories of the Royal Knights, they are Mega-Level perhaps higher than other Digimon; however, they who hunt and take their role as protectors of the digital world seriously...-"
They can easily destroy even one human city if their powers are unleashed." Renamon explained and Takato looked at Rika. "Enough Renamon, she doesn't want to hear those things as she knows you just want data and Digimon are nothing more than fighting machines to her," He shook his head in response and asked Rika a question. "When you lose your Digimon to your ice attitude of greed then the loser will always be you…will you be able to look at yourself then?"
He stopped and looked at Rika. "You may be a Tamer but you won't get her to digivolve if you're nothing but a cold queen. Don't think I don't know who you are, Nonoka aka the Famous Ice queen. You are not worth my time and I often envy how you gained such a powerful Digimon like Renamon and hopefully you can bring out her potential before she's deleted." He spoke with conviction and no malice as he didn't need too as he spoke true. Renamon was a guardian Digimon who preserved Digimon and if she was from that group then he knew she'd digivolve to someone really powerful.
Takato felt a large winged object float next to him and nodded. "Sorry, but you won't and I know you're not going to be as powerful as me so get off your high horse…I know a real queen and you're not one of them…there's also King Drasil and he's in charge of all four quadrants of the Digital World.
-Unknown Area in Shinjuku-
In the shadows a dark Digimon was trying to hide his presence well. He loved playing with humans. He's iced a few in the last few days till he sensed someone with great power enter the human world and sensed that it could be a Royal Knight.
AN: that's a wrap folks, it's still a work in progress, I'm trying my best to give the world a good Digimon fanfic so forgive me if I'm off track. I'll take anyone mostly to help me...I want to make a long fanfic that is like 40-50 chapters hopefully.
