Maxie's POV
"I'm supposed to be in love with Spinelli." I looked myself in the mirror feeling like a complete fraud. I was stuck thinking about What If's... What if Johnny and I had actually had a chance to be together without hiding in secret? What if we were both single at the right time? That wasn't going to happen unless I talked to Johnny but, I wasn't going to let myself do that. I had already hurt Spinelli and Lulu enough. Not to mention how hurt my best friend would be, our friendship barely recovered after everything was out in the open. I couldn't live my life without our friendship, I would rather die.
"Maxie!" Lulu Spencer yelled from the living room, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"Yes?" I asked walking out of my room.
"You need to tell Spinelli and Johnny how you feel. You can't string them along like this. Trust me, I did the same thing with Johnny and Logan and that shit did NOT end well. It might be rough at first but, everything will be okay." Lulu turned to face me, how had she known?
"Oh please, you can't even tear Johnny away from Olivia's side. I could never compete with Olivia or Brooklyn. Ugh, I don't even know why anyone's attracted to Brooklyn." Maxie flops down on the couch beside Lulu.
"If you think that you don't know Johnny as well as you think. You've always had his attention Maxie, I may have had it for a little while but...it's always been you. I guess it all worked out in the end though. I wouldn't have met Dante if you two hadn't done everything you did. I...am happier than I've ever been. Johnny will always be my first love but, it just doesn't last. You know? We were what each other needed at one time but...we were never meant to last. It's okay, I'm not going to be mad at you. I'm not bitter anymore, Johnny and I are actually really good friends now. You need to talk to him, both Johnny and Spinelli. I promise everything will work out, I wouldn't lie to you." Lulu knew that her best friend needed guidance right now, and she was trying to nudge her in the right direction.
"You're right." Maxie nods, grabbing her coat and purse.
"Make mama proud!" Lulu shouted after Maxie.
"Of course." Maxie says, before leaving the apartment.
Lulu's POV
Once Maxie left the apartment I grabbed my phone, dialing up Ethan.
"Hey, I finally convinced Maxie to talk to Johnny." Lulu says before Ethan could say hello.
"You're kidding, go sis!" Ethan chuckled in amazement.
"It wasn't easy, believe me. I think Maxie still holds onto the guilt but, I'm actually okay with it. Johnny and I are friends, I'm happy with Dante. Things are going good for me. For once I want things to be good for Maxie. Maxie deserves that. How is Johnny? Are things rocky with Olivia? The last time I saw him he looked...agitated." Lulu thought about her words before she said then, wanting to be precise.
"Oh, I believe you. Maxie is...a complicated woman. Zacchara deserves to be happy to, I think he'd be happy with Maxie. You and Dante are good? I don't need to beat his ass? Things with Olivia aren't good...she's always defending Sonny which is crazy to me. Sonny literally shot Dante, how are you going to defend someone who tried to kill you're child? Shit is wild. Zacchara and Olivia just yell at each other now." Ethan nodded, lighting up a cigarette as he talked to his sister.
"Very complicated. No, you do not need to beat Dante's ass. If that day ever comes I'll let you know. Johnny's been through a lot, he deserves someone good and loyal. Yeah, I've noticed Olivia does that...it kind of drives a wedge into her and Dante's relationship. Dante really doesn't want much to do with Sonny honestly, I don't care to talk to Sonny either. Dante almost didn't make it, I'll never forget that. Dante is trying to build a relationship with Michael, Kristina and Morgan but as far as Sonny goes...I just don't think he wants that. I don't blame Dante at all. I'm sorry that their both going through that. I love Olivia but, I don't think her and Johnny were meant to last." Lulu chuckled at Ethan's comment about Dante.
"Aww man! I need to beat somebody's ass. Maybe I'll get a few right hooks in on Sonny. Yeah but, I don't blame Dante for that. I wouldn't want to be friends with someone who tried to kill me, father or not. If Luke did that to me I'd never speak to him again. I don't know what Michael thinks but, Kristina loves having another brother. Kristina says that she really likes hanging out with you two. I think Olivia and Zacchara have run their course." Ethan really wanted to fight someone, he wouldn't be him if he didn't.
"Use Sonny or Jason, they deserve it. I completely get that, I think dad would rather die than shoot someone who was unarmed. Well, I love Kristina she's blossomed into a beautiful young woman. They have, it's Johnny and Maxie's era I can feel it."
Maxie's POV
I anxiously knocked onto the door of the penthouse, preparing myself for the inevitable. The door slowly opened to reveal a red haired beautiful woman, I had a sinking feeling I wouldn't like what was going to happen.
"Who exactly are you?" I rolled my eyes.
"Alina. I guess your the trash Spinelli hasn't taken out yet. There's nothing special about a blonde bimbo. Spinelli and I have been seeing each other for weeks now. Spinelli might be a nerd but...he's a complete monster in bed. I don't know how you keep your hands to yourself. Shoo now, you and Spinelli are over." The woman spoke with a Russian accent, smirking as she ranted on about Spinelli. Before she knew what she was doing, Maxie had smacked the bitch right in her face. Alina bitch slapped her in response, the two continued fighting until Spinelli and Jason tried to separate them. Spinelli had called the cops on Maxie, to her chargin she was arrested. Mac happened to be out when she was booked, she sat in front of the phone at the police station dialing a number.
"Zacchara." She heard him answer on the first ring.
"It's Maxie...I got arrested and was wondering if you could come get me." Maxie bit her lip.
"You got arrested? What did you do?" Johnny snickered, whatever he'd been expecting it hadn't been that.
"Apparently, Spinelli has been cheating on me with some bitch. So, we got into a cat fight and Spinelli called the cops. I'm the only one who got arrested which is bullshit but, here I am." Maxie fought the urge to roll her eyes.
"What? Spinelli cheated on you? This conversation keeps getting more mysterious the more I find out. I'll come and get you." They hung up and a guard took Maxie to her cell.
'Dante? What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be on the other side of the bars?" Maxie squinted at Dante, as he sat on the bench.
"You would think so, wouldn't you? Wait. What did YOU do?" Dante glances back at her in surprise.
"Apparently, Spinelli has been cheating on me. I fought the girl and, he called the cops on me. Just me. What did you do? Are you gonna lose your badge? Because I can talk to Mac!" Maxie was worried about him losing his job. That would suck.
"Oh wow...I'm sorry about that. That sucks. Lucky said I could keep my job, don't worry. Thank you for your concern, I appreciate that. I don't really have a lot of people on my side, it means a lot. I hit Sonny. In the face. In public. In front of a bunch of cops...I guess I wasn't really thinking." Dante gives a shrug.
"It's okay, I was going to end things anyway but.. it just kind of sucks. Well, your my best friends boyfriend! It would be weird if I didn't support you! You make Lulu happy, that's not an easy thing to do. I'm happy you two found each other. Probably not your best move but, I get it. I have a... complicated relationship with my father but, he never tried to kill me. You win on that one."
Johnny's POV
On my way into the police station I ran into someone, the woman fell on the sidewalk.
"Damn Johnny!" He heard a familiar voice snap, Johnny looked down and Lulu Spencer who was now laying on the sidewalk giving him a pissed off look.
