Prologue
"Terrorism must be dealt with by any means necessary"- Lars Gummesson Director of Team Rainbow
Hereford Base, England, Team Rainbow Headquarters, August 1st 2022
The world is an ever evolving place. When the Soviet Union collapsed, terrorism became the new threat to global stability. Which is why John Clark, the first Six of Team Rainbow, proposed the creation of the unit in the first place. They would go on multiple missions until 2012. By that time other capable special operations forces had training in anti-terror tactics and they gradually took a larger role in these situations. This made Team Rainbow obsolete, and in 2012 Rainbow was disbanded. With the emergence of new threats like the White Mask's and other such groups. Rainbow was reactivated in 2015 under the leadership of Aurelia Arnot to fight these threats. She left the position of Six to serve as the Secretary of State under United States President John Baldwin. She thought she left Rainbow in the capable hands of a new Six named Dr. Harishva "Harry" Pandey. This turned out to be a mistake when the unit almost imploded upon itself during the NIGHTHAVEN Crisis of early 2022 with the defection of five prominent Rainbow Operatives. It's now August of 2022. The crisis has been solved by Team Rainbow and the defectors turning on the rogue PMC when they learned of the organization's nefarious plans. Dr. Harishva "Harry" Pandey resigned as Six and the former Deputy Director, known as Rainbow 5, Lars Gummesson is now the acting Director of Rainbow.
Lars Gummesson now known as Six had the unfortunate duty of reorganizing Team Rainbow and in order to do this. He made the former Rainbow Operative known as Bishop the Deputy Director. They both changed the mission statement of Rainbow to combat terrorism by any means necessary. Another problem was that the Russian Federation had ordered all Russian Military personnel to leave Team Rainbow immediately. All had complied with the order except for Brody Lukin, one of Rainbow's many pilots, and Lera "Finka" Melnikova. They defied the orders of the Kremlin due to their believe in Team Rainbow's goals to fight terrorism.
Lars Gummesson (SIX) was currently in his office going over the intelligence he received from both Ghost Recon and Fourth Echelon. Rainbow had a wonderful relationship with both organizations and this was no different. They'd been trying to get Hamid Zarza for years and he was finally off the list of most wanted by NATO. The intel given to them led them straight to his arms shipments and buyers. Missions in Bangladesh, Peru, and Slovakia were major successes for Team Rainbow. Now it was time for the final mission. He stood up and went to brief Team One on the mission. Team One was Rainbow's premier assault team after the reorganization, led by Rainbow veteran Logan Keller.
"Gentlemen. Glad you all could make it on short notice. Our final operation to hunt down Zarza's contacts is happening. You're going to Pakistan to kill a warlord named Takfir. He is a major player in the illegal arms industry and works as a freelance mercenary for terrorist groups. Your goal is to bring him into our custody so we can learn more about his new friends. Operation Rhino shall start now".

Logan Keller looked through his binoculars and had seen the convoy moving toward the ambush site. His team had arrived days ago but recent intelligence pointed out that Takfir was meeting with some buyers for the weapons he had acquired from Hamid Zarza. They don't know what he's selling, but it can't be good. The site of the ambush also happened to be where the meeting was to take place. This was a deliberate decision made by Keller so they could find out who the buyers are. Just then his comms buzzed, it had to be Six.
"Team One Leader here". Keller responded.
"Keller, this is Six. You have the green light to get Takir".
"Roger that Six. Were just waiting in our hide positions. It looks like the buyers just arrived. Going to get a positive ID now".
"Six confirms all. Once we find out who they are. You have authorization to get the target and get out".
"Afirm Six. Team One Leader Out"

Director Lars Gummesson looked towards Deputy Director Bishop and nodded. His meeting with the President of the United States went well and now Ghost Recon, Fourth Echelon, and Team Rainbow will take the fight to Black Tusk.
"All right people, once Keller gives us a positive ID on the buyers, I want you to figure out what groups there apart of so we can eliminate those terrorists. We don't want another White Masks incident."
"Sir we have a positive ID on the buyers" said Sharon Judd, Rainbow's head of intelligence, the former Mossad agent had worked with both Keller and Bishop during the Las Vegas Terrorist Attacks of 2010.
"Who are they Judd?"
"The two men are Antwon Ridgeway of the True Sons and Charles Bliss of the Last Man Battalion. Both groups are extremist organizations based in the United States".
"What do US Domestic Terrorists want with an arms dealer?" Bishop wondered aloud.
"I'm not sure. It's not good though". Six said.
He privately thought to himself "Are these the same people who attacked that Fourth Echelon convoy and killed Bardon Schaefer"?

Keller had actually left Team Rainbow when the organization was dissolved back in 2012. But with all the controversies surrounding the organization, the new director wanted veteran Rainbow operators to rejoin the unit and so he now found himself and his team in Pakistan hunting down an arms dealer. As the leader of Team One, he was able to handpick each member. The team is made up of Team Leader Logan Keller, Lt. Fred Franklin, Santiago Arnavisca, Jung Park, and Michael Walter.
After waiting for a moment he contacted the team's sniper, Lt. Fred Franklin, a veteran of Rainbow's very first operation.
"Franklin! I need you to provide cover for us while our assault element gets in position".
"Roger that Keller".
Franklin aimed his suppressed sniper rifle, the SR-25. A semi automatic rifle that Fred prefers especially when a part of an assault team due to the weapons magazine capacity and fire rate. He looked through the scope and found a line guard taking a smoke break.
"Assault Team in position". Replied Santiago Arnavisca, a former member of the Guardia Civil's counter-terrorism unit, the Unidad Especial de Intervención (UEI).
"Alright. Franklin fire now! Said Keller
Franklin fired his suppressed SR-25 at the guard that was smoking. He didn't know what hit him and no one was none the wiser.
"Okay, assault team move in!" Shouted Keller
A Few minutes earlier
Bolan Pass, Balochistan, Pakistan, August 5th 2022
Petrus Brenner and his Black Tusk Recon Team had one objective, find and kill everyone associated with Hamid Zarza. According to his ISAC, their target was a freelance terrorist and arms dealer named Tafkir. He was currently selling a portion of the Green Poison to their associates in the United States. The goal is to let both Antwon Ridgeway and Charles Bliss escape back to the United States to begin phase 2 of the planned attack. He and his team were doing a search and recovery mission in Syria, looking for a missing kill team. He later found out that the commander of the team, Bardon Schaefer, was captured by the United States. On August 1st elements of True Sons and Last Man Battalion ambushed the convoy and eliminated Schaefer before he could talk.
Petrus Brenner was a former mercenary who found employment with various privacy military groups such as Shadow Company before joining the Black Tusk Special Unit and worked with the CIA doing various illegal black operations. He was told that a source within the United States Government had informed them that Team Rainbow would be trying to capture Tafkir. He will not let that happen, Tafkir needed to die otherwise he and his operators won't get paid.
Rainbow Assault Team
Bolan Pass, Balochistan, Pakistan, August 5th 2022
Keller aimed his HK 416 and fired at the hostile in front of him. The sound of the body falling alerted the rest of his comrades and he shouted for the rest of the team to fire on the remaining guards. Simultaneously gunfire started to erupt, specifically from AK-47's. Keller saw Tafkir in his sights and shot him in the arm. He fell to the ground in agonizing pain. Arnavisca ran toward the HVI and grabbed him.
Just as Santiago Arnavisca grabbed him, bullets went past him as men in black tactical gear started to shoot at the Rainbow Operators.
"Six! This is Team One Leader! We are taking heavy fire from highly trained individuals in black tactical gear"! Keller shouted.
"This is Six! These may be the same men who attacked that Ghost Team in Syria back in July. Stay on your guard, these enemy combatants are highly trained."
"Roger that Six. Keller out!"
As the gunfire intensified. Keller ordered his team to return fire. He then thought of the lone sniper of his team Lt. Franklin.
"Franklin, I need you to provide covering fire. These guys have military grade body armor".
"On it"!
He lined up one of the hostiles and shot his rifle. The enemy fell to the ground but then stood back up. He took another shot and he finally went down for good.
"Keller. You weren't kidding about the military grade body armor".
He continued to scan for hostiles and quickly realized that the vehicles that had TS and LMB markings were gone along with whatever weapons they had.
"Keller. We have a problem. The buyers and weapons are gone. They probably used the firefight as a diversion". Franklin said
"Dammit! I'll let Six know".
"Six this is Keller, we have a problem. The weapons and buyers are gone and Tafkir is wounded. We're heading for LZ Alpha for extraction".
"Roger that Team One lead. Pilot Brody Lukin is on the way to pick you up". said Six
"Keller, this is Lukin. I'm headed to LZ Alpha. Just make sure we get out in one piece"! Lukin said in a thick Russian accent.
LZ Alpha was an area of flatland near the ambush site, perfect for helicopters to land. The only problem is that they were outgunned and outnumbered by a superior force.
"Lukin. It's good to see you again, old friend. I'm glad you stuck around to continue fighting the good fight against terror." Keller said
"We can talk later, Keller. How's Tafkir"!
"He's stabilized for now. Anyway, we have you in our sights. Let's get moving before they shoot down the bird with Anti-Air".
Minutes Later
Hereford Base, England, Team Rainbow Headquarters, August 5th 2022
Director Lars Gummesson looked at the camera footage from his operator's and saw that the hostiles were from Black Tusk. He knew about the mole in the U.S Government after the meeting with President Becerra. It made things more complicated. He felt that Black Tusk was always one step ahead of them, good thing Fourth Echelon is working on the mole and the terror threat to the United States homeland.
"Judd, patch me through to the President and Fourth Echelon immediately. They need to be aware of what just occurred".
The Director scowled when he realized the implications of Black Tusk's involvement and what this meant for the United States. This was a threat that needed to be eliminated with extreme prejudice. Black Tusk is supporting domestic terrorism in the United States for unknown reasons.
"On it Sir. Patching through now".
"Mr. President, we have urgent news for you and Director Fisher regarding a major terrorist threat to the United States".
