Chapter 4: The Wayfinder Trio 'Wow' The Gang.

The clock on the wall stubbornly ticked away the seconds, heralding another afternoon of questionable decisions at Paddy's Pub. It was 2:30 pm, and the gang was already knee-deep in their various shenanigans. However, after the events of today at the convention center, things were about to get much more 'bonkers' for The Gang; a lot more weirder than usual from their day to day schemes.

Dee, Dennis, and Frank, thankfully no longer dressed in their extravagant cosplay costumes, occupied their usual places on the bar's service side. They stared at the peculiar trio seated on the customer side, eyes narrowed in skepticism.

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus sat on bar stools, their attire still reminiscent of the characters they had supposedly been 'cosplaying as' at the convention. The Wayfinder Trio looked both out of place and entirely out of this world in the dingy pub. To the gang, they appeared like particularly dedicated cosplayers who had decided to linger a bit too long in their fantasy.

The tension in the air was palpable and questions needed to be answered. Dee leaned forward, her voice carrying a note of incredulity, as she addressed the three Keyblade wielders.

"So, let me get this straight," she began, an exaggerated smirk playing on her lips. "You guys," she gestured toward Terra, Aqua, and Ventus, "are telling us that you're from another dimension? And that this Kingdom Hearts stuff you keep talking about is real? Seriously? Are you high or something?"

Dennis chimed in, his skepticism oozing from every pore. "Yeah, 'cause that's the only explanation that would make sense."

Frank, ever the wildcard, shot them an accusatory glare. "Are you guys on crack or something? This is madness."

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged puzzled glances as Frank's remark caught them off guard. In their home worlds, such references to drugs and the colorful language thrown around so casually were foreign concepts. They shared an unspoken understanding of how different this world, or rather, this dimension was from their own.

Terra cleared his throat, attempting to steer the conversation back to the matter at hand. "We understand that this may all sound strange to you. But we promise, we're telling the truth. We come from different worlds, and what you know as video games and fiction is very real where we come from."

Aqua nodded, her expression earnest. "We were at the convention because we're looking for our friend, Sora. He's a key figure in our world, and we believe he might be here."

Ventus chimed in, trying to convey their sincerity. "And we're not fans or cosplayers. We really are Terra, Aqua, and Ventus, and we have the power of the Keyblade."

Despite their efforts to explain, the skeptical expressions on the faces of Dee, Dennis, and Frank remained unaltered. Their disbelief seemed unshakable.

Frank waved his hand dismissively. "Yeah, yeah, power of the Keyblade, whatever the hell that is. Look, we've heard some wild stuff before, but this? This is something else."

Dee chimed in with a smirk, adding her own sarcastic comment. "Yeah, next you're gonna tell us you've been to Narnia or some shit."

Dennis leaned back, crossing his arms, and regarded the Wayfinder Trio with a challenging look. "So, what? Are you trying to tell us that all those people dressed up like characters from your 'real world' are actually from there too?"

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged weary glances as they found themselves in an ever-deepening pit of incredulity. Convincing Dee, Dennis, and Frank that they were telling the truth seemed like an impossible task. The gang's skepticism and disbelief were palpable, and the trio struggled to convey the reality of their existence.

Just as they contemplated their next move, Charlie and Mac, still clad in their Sora and Riku costumes, finally set down the glasses they had been busy filling with creatively named cocktails. They exchanged a knowing look, realizing that they might be the key to bridging the gap between the two worlds – their fictional world of video games and the baffling reality of Paddy's Pub.

Charlie stepped forward, a determined look in his eyes as he addressed the gang. "Guys, I know this sounds completely insane, but it's the truth. These three saved our asses back at the convention center."

Mac nodded fervently, his voice filled with conviction. "Yeah, seriously! We thought they were just really hardcore cosplayers at first, but then they started doing all this crazy stuff with their Keyblades, and it was... real. They're actually the characters from those games we love!"

"We ain't buying this crap, Mac." Frank said in a blunt manner.

Dee and Dennis agreed, nodding in agreement.

"This all seems so far-fetched and way too insane to be real." Dee stated, looking at Charlie and Mac.

"Frank's right, we are going to need proof." Dennis agreed, wanting further proof of the Wayfinder Trio's powers.

Charlie and Mac exchanged knowing glances before turning back to Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. There was a hint of mischief in their expressions as they urged the trio to provide some concrete proof of their extraordinary claims.

"Alright, you guys want proof?" Charlie said with a grin. "Show 'em the thing, guys!"

Charlie pointed to the Wayfinder Trio to show the skeptical members of The Gang, 'The Thing'. Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged puzzled looks, clearly not understanding what 'the thing' was. They had no idea what Charlie was talking about.

"The thing?" Terra repeated, raising an eyebrow. "What exactly do you mean?"

Mac joined in enthusiastically, trying to clarify. "You know, like summon your Keyblades and do some of that magic stuff you guys do in the games!"

"Please, impress us, kids." Frank spoke up sarcastically. "Prove us wrong."

With the gang's curiosity piqued and their skepticism slightly tempered, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus decided it was time to give a more convincing demonstration. As they rose from their bar stools, they exchanged glances, silently agreeing that they needed to show the gang what they were truly capable of.

Charlie and Mac couldn't contain their excitement, their faces lit up as they anticipated the display of Keyblade-wielding prowess.

"Get ready to be amazed, guys!" Charlie exclaimed with enthusiasm.

Frank, on the other hand, remained unimpressed and skeptical. He retrieved some beers from behind the bar and handed them to Charlie, Dee, Dennis, and Mac with a sarcastic smirk.

"Here, enjoy your magic show," he quipped.

Undeterred by Frank's skepticism, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus took a step back from the bar, giving themselves enough room to perform their demonstration. They closed their eyes briefly, focusing their thoughts and tapping into the limited abilities they possessed in this unfamiliar world.

In unison, they extended their hands, and with a burst of radiant light, their Keyblades materialized in their grasp. The transformation was swift and seamless, and within moments, the trio stood before the gang, their Keyblades gleaming with power.

Charlie and Mac, who had witnessed this spectacle before, still marveled at the sight. The Keyblades were a symbol of their heroes, and seeing them in the real world was a dream come true.

Dee, Dennis, and Frank, however, were taken aback by the sudden appearance of the weapon-like artifacts. They exchanged wide-eyed glances, their skepticism slowly eroding in the face of undeniable proof.

Terra, holding the Ends of the Earth Keyblade, took a step forward, the weapon radiating a sense of strength and resilience. Aqua wielded the Rainfell Keyblade, which glistened with an ethereal, watery light. Ventus held the Wayward Wind Keyblade, its appearance airy and swift.

For a moment, the room fell into a hushed silence as the gang and the Wayfinder Trio stared at the Keyblades, each member of the gang coming to terms with the astonishing reality before them.

"See? They told you they were the real deal!" Charlie said with excitement, glad to prove his friends wrong.

Mac nodded emphatically, his excitement undiminished. "You guys have no idea how cool this is for us!"

The gang's skepticism began to crumble in the face of the Wayfinder Trio's Keyblade demonstration, leaving them in a state of disbelief. Frank, ever adaptable to the bizarre, was the first to voice his acceptance of the situation.

"Holy shit!" Frank exclaimed, leaning back in his chair and staring at the trio with newfound wonder. "Perhaps you kids are onto something."

Dee and Dennis, equally astounded, exchanged glances and then turned their attention back to Terra, Aqua, and Ventus.

Dee leaned forward, her curiosity piqued. "Can you guys do anything else?"

Charlie, still dressed as Sora, grinned mischievously as he decided to put Aqua's magical abilities to the test. "Hey, Aqua, can you make my beer super cold? Like, freezing cold?"

Aqua nodded in response, realizing that a small display of her magic might further solidify the gang's understanding of their unique abilities. She extended her Keyblade, the mystic weapon aglow with icy energy, and cast the Blizzaga spell on Charlie's beer.

The result was immediate. Charlie's beer began to frost over rapidly, transforming from a lukewarm beverage into a frozen, icy treat. A layer of frost spread across the glass, and the liquid inside became nearly solid.

Charlie's eyes widened in amazement as he lifted the frosted beer to his lips and took a sip.

"Whoa, this is incredible! You guys are like the best bartenders ever!"

The gang watched in awe as Aqua's magic had its effect.

Dennis was the first to speak, his skepticism now replaced with fascination. "That's... actually really cool."

Dee added with a sly grin, "Maybe we can turn this into a profitable side gig."

Frank, however, remained focused on their surroundings and kept cautious. "Don't get too carried away, guys. We've still got a lot of unanswered questions."

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged a glance, realizing they needed to provide some semblance of understanding to Dee, Dennis, and Frank.

"Sure thing Frank, what do you need to know?" Ventus replied to the small man.

Frank leaned forward, his expression serious. "Okay, so, what and why the hell are you guys doing here in the real world?"

"Yeah, how did this happen?" Dennis replied, wanting further answers.

Ventus took a deep breath, preparing to explain their complex situation.

"It's... complicated. You see, our world, where we come from, is different from this one. In our world, the one where Kingdom Hearts and we are real, everything here is fiction, including you guys."

Dennis scratched his head, trying to wrap his mind around the paradox. "So... you're saying we're fictional characters in your world?"

Aqua nodded, confirming his understanding. "Exactly. In our reality, this world is fictional, and you're characters in that work of fiction. But now, we find ourselves here, where everything is... well, seems real."

Charlie, still in his Sora costume, chimed in with an empathetic smile. "It's like a total mindfuck, right?"

Mac, dressed as Riku, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but it makes a weird kind of sense. We're real in this reality, but you guys are fictional characters here. It's like some kind of bizarre multiverse crossover."

Dennis leaned back, taking a moment to process this newfound knowledge. "So, let me get this straight: Terra, Aqua, and Ventus are fictional in our reality, but us and our world are fictional in theirs?"

Ventus grinned at Dennis's astute summary. "Bingo! You've got it!"

Dee interjected, "But how the hell did you guys end up here in our world? And why?"

Terra looked to Aqua and Ventus and took the lead to explain to Frank, Dee and Dennis why they were here.

"We were sent by Master Yen Sid to help locate Sora. The character Charlie is dressed up as''. Terra remarked, pointing to Charlie to explain what Sora looked like.

"Told you this costume was an awesome choice." Charlie said with glee. "Continue Terra."

"After the battle with Master Xehanort & his 13 darknesses, Sora went missing and potentially ended up here, stuck in the world of fiction." Terra continued, trying to explain further to the group.

Dennis couldn't help but chuckle at the mention of Master Yen Sid.

"Wait a minute, Yen Sid... that's Disney spelled backward, isn't it?"

"10 points to Dennis, figuring that out so fast." Dee said with sarcasm. "

Charlie's eyes lit up with recognition. "Oh yeah, I remember that from the Kingdom Hearts III: ReMND DLC. Sora saves Kairi using some kind of time travel thing and gets himself lost in the process."

"What's DLC?" Asked Ventus, looking at Charlie for answers on this acronym.

"DLC stands for downloadable content. Extra stuff you can add to games." Charlie replied with a chuckle, helping his new friend explain.

Mac chimed in, further explaining, "And in Melody of Memory, Kairi used her memories to try to locate Sora, who's trapped in the realm of fiction, thanks to Ansem the Wise's hypothesis."

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus looked at each other, trying to piece it all together.

"So, you guys know about our stories and the events that led to this?" Aqua asked, wanting to understand how Mac and Charlie knew these series of events that occurred in their world so accurately and well.

Charlie, still grinning from ear to ear, proudly boasted, "Yeah, we've played all the games and followed the story since it came out in 2002. We're hardcore fans."

Mac chimed in, adding to Charlie's enthusiasm, "I mean, we know about Terra's weakness to the darkness, which leads him to become Terranort. And Aqua, you were stuck in the Realm of Darkness for over a decade. And Ventus, you fought Vanitas and then went into a deep slumber. Birth by Sleep is Charlie's favorite game. He's played it like a hundred times."

Terra exchanged a glance with Aqua and Ventus, genuinely surprised by their fans' knowledge.

"You've followed our stories that closely?" Terra asked, looking at Mac still with his silver wig on.

Mac nodded, his excitement uncontainable. "Absolutely! You guys have been a big part of our gaming lives. Birth by Sleep introduced us to your characters in 2010, and we've loved the emotional ride of your characters all the way up to Kingdom Hearts III."

"Pure Cinema!" chimed in Charlie with glee.

"You could say that again, our stories are definitely eventful." Aqua remarked, taking in Mac's words.

Charlie reached into his pocket and pulled out a slightly battered PSP. "Guys, I want to show you something."

Terra, Aqua and Ventus looked at Charlie and seemed intrigued about what was in his hands.

"What's that, Charlie?" asked Ventus.

"Yeah, what's with that gadget thing?" Aqua also remarked, wanting to know more.

"Oh you guys will see and it will blow your mind!" Charlie remarked with a smile.

Turning on his battered and worn out handheld console, it loaded up the game Birth by Sleep. As the game's familiar music filled the air, the screen displayed a digital version of Ventus at a save checkpoint in the world of Neverland.

"Hey, that's me!" Ventus proclaimed, pointed at the cracked screen.

"Damn right it is, pal." Charlie said with excitement. "I'm currently playing through your story."

Ventus stared at the screen, memories flooding back. "I remember this place. It's amazing to see it like this."

Aqua and Terra leaned in to get a better look, their eyes fixed on the small screen, captivated by the world they recognized from their own adventures.

Dee couldn't help but chime in with her own observations. "This whole situation is a huge paradox, right?"

Frank, ever the pessimist, muttered, "Are we all gonna die or something?"

Aqua, however, maintained a more hopeful outlook. "No, I don't think so. Yen Sid wouldn't use magic that could risk entire dimensions. It should be safe."

"Yen Sid is a cool dude, he wouldn't do that." Mac responded to back up Aqua. "However, he does leave you guys to die once or twice… but apart from that, great guy and someone I would have a beer with."

The Wayfinder Trio looked in bewilderment at each other by Mac's comments. They knew Mac was a person looking in, and they knew Master Yen Sid doesn't interfere, unless it's deemed necessary.

Moving the conversation away from video game realities. Dee leaned forward, her curiosity piqued.

"Alright, so what exactly happened at the convention center? You guys mentioned this mysterious figure in the black coat?"

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged knowing glances, their expressions somber. Terra decided to fill in the gang about the unsettling events that had transpired.

"We were at the convention center, following leads that might help us find Sora," Terra began. "That's when we encountered this mysterious figure in the black coat. We don't know who they are or what their motives are, but their presence is a sign that darkness is seeping into this reality."

Aqua chimed in, her tone serious. "In our world, these black-coated individuals are often associated with the forces of darkness. They're dangerous, and their appearance here is a cause for concern."

"Like Organisation XIII!" Charlie said loudly, pushing buttons on his broken PSP.

"Exactly, the followers of Master Xehanort." Replied Terra.

Ventus added, "We managed to drive them off temporarily, but we don't know when or where they might strike again. That's why we need to find Sora as soon as possible. He might have answers or be in danger himself."

Dee, Dennis, and Frank exchanged wary glances, realizing that their involvement with the Wayfinder Trio had dragged them into a bizarre and perilous situation. They had gone from running a struggling bar to dealing with otherworldly visitors and impending darkness.

However, it seemed that time was not on The Gang's side. As Frank's watch alarm rang out, he glanced at the time, his eyes widening in realization.

"Holy crap, guys! This conversation will have to wait, the after-party is only a few hours away. We need to get prepared!"

The gang's priorities shifted instantly. The imminent party was their chance to turn things around for Paddy's Pub, and they couldn't afford to waste any more time on otherworldly adventures.

Charlie, still in his Sora costume, paused his game and looked at Mac. "Mac, buddy, we've got some drinks and cocktails to whip up. We've got some amazing ideas for this party."

Mac nodded in agreement. "You're right, Charlie. It's time to shine."

Dee and Dennis, ever the pragmatists, sprang into action. "We'll get the bar prepared for our guests," Dee announced. "We need to make this place look less like a shit heap and more like a party spot."

Dennis added, "This is our chance to boost our reputation and make some serious cash."

Frank, always one to seize an opportunity, turned to the Wayfinder Trio. "You guys, just relax and be our guests for now. We might need you later for... you know, 'special attraction' purposes."

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged uncertain glances but ultimately agreed. They had come to this strange world in search of their friend, Sora, but they understood the importance of the gang's efforts to save their struggling bar and the after party.

With a mix of anticipation and trepidation, the gang and their newfound otherworldly friends set to work, each with their tasks and goals in mind. The hours leading up to the after party promised to be a whirlwind of preparation, excitement, and, undoubtedly, more unexpected twists in their ever-unfolding tale.

***PARTY PREPARING***

As the hours ticked away, the atmosphere at Paddy's Pub was filled with a whirlwind of excitement and anticipation. The gang was on a mission to transform their rundown establishment into the ultimate after party destination, and they were tackling the challenge with characteristic enthusiasm.

Charlie, still dressed as Sora, and Mac, as Riku, were manning the bar, their creativity and love for video games, comics, and anime on full display. Bottles of colorful liquids and bizarre ingredients littered the bar's surface as they mixed, stirred, and shook concoctions unlike any the pub had ever seen.

"Alright, Mac," Charlie said with a mischievous grin, "let's whip up some crazy cocktails that will blow our guests' minds."

Mac, equally excited, nodded in agreement. "You got it, buddy. We're gonna be the kings of mixology."

The duo set to work, their hands a blur as they combined ingredients with reckless abandon. They had come up with an array of wild and weird drinks, each with a theme inspired by video games, comics, and anime. Among their creations were "Elixir of Invincibility," "Chaos Emerald Cooler," "Fire Flower Fizz," and the infamous "Potion of Courage."

Ventus, Aqua, and Terra watched with fascination as Charlie and Mac presented their colorful and eccentric concoctions. The trio cautiously accepted the drinks, intrigued by the interesting flavors and names.

Terra took a sip of the "Elixir of Invincibility" and raised an eyebrow in surprise. "This is... quite refreshing, actually."

Aqua, sipping on her "Chaos Emerald Cooler," agreed. "It's like a taste of adventure in a glass."

Ventus chuckled as he tried the "Fire Flower Fizz." "This one really packs a punch. It's like a spicy explosion in my mouth."

Charlie and Mac exchanged triumphant glances. "We've done it again," Charlie declared proudly.

While the two worked their mixological magic, Dee, Dennis, and Frank were on a mission of their own. The pub was undergoing a transformation, with lights, tables, posters, and decorations being strategically placed to create the perfect party ambiance.

Dee, in her element as the party planner, directed the placement of colorful LED lights around the bar area. "These lights will give the place a vibrant, energetic vibe. People will forget they're in this dump."

Dennis, not one to be outdone, mentioned their secret treasure trove. "Don't forget, guys, we've got those old arcade machines like Pac-Man down in the basement. They'll add a retro gaming feel to the party. Frank, help me bring them up."

Frank, always ready for adventure, nodded enthusiastically. "You got it, Dennis! Let's resurrect those ancient gaming relics."

As Frank and Dennis descended into the dimly lit and somewhat eerie basement, they couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement. The narrow staircase led them down into a space filled with forgotten relics, old furniture, and dust-covered boxes. The arcade machines they sought stood like a beacon in the darkness.

Frank couldn't contain his enthusiasm, his eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Dennis, we're bringing back a pieces of history here. People are gonna love this."

Dennis, ever the suave one, smiled and patted the side of the Pac-Man machine. "You're right, Frank. Classic games never go out of style."

The sight of the vintage gaming console brought a sense of nostalgia to those present, and it wouldn't be long before the gang would be testing their skills in games like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Galaga.

Meanwhile, back at the bar, Dee couldn't resist the temptation of trying one of Charlie and Mac's concoctions. She raised a glass filled with the neon green "Turtle Power" cocktail and took a cautious sip. Her eyes widened in surprise as a grin spread across her face. "This is... actually really good."

Charlie and Mac exchanged triumphant looks. "We told you, Dee. Our cocktails are legendary," Mac boasted.

With the basement adventure and cocktail tasting underway, the group was relaxed, enjoying their time together. Charlie, still dressed as Sora, and Mac, in his Riku costume, took the opportunity to engage Terra, Aqua, and Ventus in a lively conversation.

"So, what's the real Sora like?" Charlie asked, eager to learn more about the hero of his beloved video game series.

Aqua chuckled softly. "Well, Sora is brave, kind-hearted, and always ready to help those in need. He's got a strong sense of friendship and believes in the power of bonds."

Mac, leaning on the bar with interest, chimed in. "And Riku? What's he like?"

Terra's expression turned thoughtful. "Riku is determined and has a strong sense of justice. He's been through a lot but has always managed to find his way back to the light."

The conversation continued, with Charlie and Mac asking more questions about their favorite characters and the worlds they came from. They were particularly curious about the realm of darkness and the experiences Terra, Aqua, and Ventus had faced there.

Terra described the realm of darkness as a place of desolation and despair, where the very essence of light was suppressed. "It's a place where your worst fears and doubts can take form."

Aqua nodded in agreement. "But it's also a place where you can find unexpected strength and resilience within yourself."

Ventus added, "It's a testament to the power of the heart and the determination to overcome any challenge."

Charlie and Mac listened intently, fascinated by the tales of their favorite characters' adventures. However, their curiosity didn't end there.

"Have you guys ever met other video game characters?" Charlie asked, thinking of iconic figures

"Other video game characters?" Ventus asked puzzlingly.

"You know, like Sonic the Hedgehog, Mario, Donkey Kong, Ryu, Link, Samus Aran…" Mac asked, counting down the names of his favorite heroes from video games of his past.

"Oh yeah, like Lara Croft, Jill Valentine, Luigi, Crash Bandicoot, Mega Man, Spyro… the list goes on." Charlie also quipped in, naming off other heroes of video game history.

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged puzzled glances.

"We're not familiar with those names," Terra admitted.

"But they do sound amazing." Aqua replied also, the heroes Mac and Charlie named off did sound like unique individuals.

Charlie and Mac exchanged knowing glances. "I guess they must exist in another reality or dimension," Mac mused.

"Ahh, I thought it would be like a Wreck-it-Ralph Scenario, like all these characters congrating together at Tappers or something." Charlie thought out loud, thinking about all these characters sipping back root beer after a long day's work.

Suddenly, there was a loud sound of crashing and shouting, which erupted from the basement. Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged worried glances, something felt amiss, and their instincts told them it was more than just Dennis and Frank struggling with the arcade machines. Charlie, Mac, and Dee, however, tried to brush it off, attributing the commotion to their friends' usual antics.

"It's probably just Dennis and Frank having a tough time with those gaming machines," Charlie said with a dismissive wave.

But the shouts continued, filled with a growing sense of panic and urgency. Phrases like "What the fuck is that thing?" and "Kill it, Dennis, kill that ugly bastard" didn't sound like the typical grumbling of their friends.

Dee, ever the skeptic, raised an eyebrow and remarked, "It's… it's probably just Cricket loitering down there, causing trouble as usual."

"Sounds more than just Cricket being his usual pain in the ass, Dee." Mac said with some concern in his voice.

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus, however, couldn't ignore the nagging feeling in their hearts. They had faced the forces of darkness countless times, and this situation felt eerily familiar.

Without hesitation, they summoned their Keyblades, the gleaming weapons materializing in their hands. In an instant, they were out of their seats and racing toward the basement, leaving Charlie, Mac, and Dee in stunned silence.

"We better follow them." Charlie said in haste, breaking the silence.

"Charlie is right, they could do with the backup." Mac responded, ready to cover their new friends back.

Charlie, Mac and Dee followed behind the Wayfinder Trio to the source of the chaos. As they descended the narrow staircase, their senses were bombarded by the cacophony of crashing and chaotic shouts. The basement was shrouded in darkness, and it was clear that something was terribly wrong.

Dee, still skeptical, couldn't help but mockingly call out, "Hey, your 'darkness sense' is tingling, huh?"

Mac and Charlie, however, couldn't contain their annoyance. "Dee, how dare you disrespect them like that?" Charlie scolded, his voice a mixture of frustration and concern. "And you butchered Spider-Man's catchphrase."

"Yea, learn your franchises, Dee." Mac said annoyingly towards his friend.

"Geez, sorry nerds." Dee replied, with a hint of sarcasm in her tone.

As Terra, Aqua, and Ventus reached the basement floor, they were met with a nightmarish scene. The basement had transformed into a chaotic battlefield. The once dimly lit and cluttered space was now a realm of eerie darkness, with Heartless swarming around Dennis and Frank. The two of them, armed with makeshift weapons, were putting up a valiant but clearly struggling fight against the relentless shadows.

"Come on, you little bastards! You won't take me alive!" Frank bellowed, swinging a baseball bat wildly at the encroaching Heartless. His wild swings were landing some hits, but the sheer number of Heartless seemed overwhelming.

Dennis, with a pool cue in hand, turned to the Wayfinder Trio, who had just arrived. Panic and urgency were evident in his voice as he shouted, "Don't just stand there, use your key sword things!"

Charlie, perched on the stairs, couldn't help but interject, "Actually, it's called a Keyblade, Dennis."

Dennis shot Charlie a glare that could've melted steel. "Shut the fuck up, Charlie! Just get your friends to help us fight these creeps off!"

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus wasted no time. With their Keyblades in hand, they sprang into action. Their movements were a mesmerizing dance of combat, fluid and precise, as they battled the encroaching Heartless. Each swing of their Keyblades sent Heartless flying, vanquishing them in bursts of darkness.

Frank, still in the heat of battle, chimed in, "And if you damage anything down here, you're paying for it!"

Charlie, Dee, and Mac, positioned at the top of the staircase, were torn between anxiety and amazement as they witnessed the incredible abilities of their newfound friends. Dee couldn't help but cheer them on, her skepticism now replaced with awe.

"Hurry the fuck up and kill these monsters!" Dennis yelled, his frustration palpable as he continued to fend off the Heartless.

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus worked in tandem, their Keyblade strikes synchronized and precise. They fought with the conviction born from years of battling darkness, determined to protect their new friends and restore order to the basement.

Amidst the chaos, Charlie, Dee, and Mac's excitement grew. This was like something out of one of their video games or comic books, and their new friends were the heroes they had always admired. Frank and Dennis, though initially skeptical, now recognized the extraordinary abilities of the Wayfinder Trio.

With every Heartless vanquished, the basement began to return to its former state. The darkness that had once consumed it receded, leaving behind the dusty relics and vintage games that had defined the space. Frank and Dennis lowered their weapons, panting and exhausted, but relieved.

Dee, Mac, and Charlie descended from the safety of the staircase, their expressions a mixture of gratitude and amazement.

"Guys, frickin sweet moves!" Mac responded in awe.

"Smashing through those heartless with ease!" Charlie shouted out in awe and excitement. "So awesome!"

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus accepted the praise and gratitude of their newfound friends with humility and gratitude. They had proven themselves in a most unexpected setting, and it seemed their actions had earned the respect and admiration of the Gang.

Dee, in her typically candid fashion, summed it up succinctly, "You guys kicked serious ass."

Charlie and Mac couldn't contain their enthusiasm. They ran up to Terra, Aqua, and Ventus, exchanging high-fives and excitedly telling them how amazing they were. It was a moment of bonding, where the worlds of video games and reality had blurred in the most extraordinary way.

Frank and Dennis, though still catching their breath and clearly bewildered by the bizarre events, expressed their gratitude to the trio.

Frank patted Terra on the back and said, "Thanks for saving our bacon, you guys."

"It's what we do Frank, no need to thank us." Terra responded, thanking Frank for his comments.

Charlie, ever the fanboy, chimed in, "Yeah, if The Gang had doubts before, you're the real deal now, kicking Heartless ass and all."

With the basement turning back to normal and the darkness oozing away for now. Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged concerned glances, even though they were being praised. They had just battled the Heartless away, but the darkness seemed to continue to seep into this world. The idea of holding an after party seemed reckless to them.

"Perhaps it would be wiser to postpone the party until we're sure this realm is safe," Terra suggested, voicing their concerns.

"What, are you shitting me?" Frank snapped in bewilderment. "I paid big bucks for merch and all that shit upstairs."

"Terra is right, Frank." Aqua said, being the voice of reason. "You saw what they can do and how dangerous they are".

"I've seen worse. I was in Vietnam, you know." Responded Frank, with a sense of pride and bravery.

"Frank, you went to Vietnam on a business trip back in the 90s, don't pull this shit on our new friends." Dee said disgruntedly, accusing Frank of lying to get either sympathy or self hope from Terra, Aqua and Ventus.

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged concerned glances as Frank vehemently shot down their suggestion to postpone the after-party. Frank, fueled by his unquenchable greed for profit, was not about to let an opportunity slip through his fingers, no matter how dangerous it might be.

"But in all seriouness, this could draw in serious business, kids." "We could do with these little freaks as our star attractions." Frank said with his eyes only seeing dollar signs, due to his greedy nature.

Ventus spoke up, his voice filled with unease. "We understand you want to make money, but it's not worth endangering the people here."

Frank, on the other hand, remained resolute, a mischievous glint in his eye. "You guys don't get it. This is a goldmine! A real-life video game battle in our pub? It's gonna bring in the mega money!"

Dee and Dennis, who usually shared Frank's enthusiasm for financial gains, exchanged skeptical glances. Their business acumen told them that potential lawsuits resulting from injured patrons could quickly erase any profits from the event. The prospect of costly legal battles did not sit well with them.

"Yeah," Dennis chimed in, "and I'm not looking to spend our potential earnings on lawsuits."

Dee voiced her concerns as well. "Frank, what if someone gets hurt? We could get sued, and that would ruin us."

Frank, however, was more interested in the allure of quick cash than the safety of Paddy's Pub's patrons. He waved away their worries with a dismissive gesture. "Don't worry, we'll have Mac and Charlie keep an eye out, won't we?"

Mac and Charlie found themselves caught between two opposing forces: their loyalty to the Wayfinder Trio and their desire to please Frank, who held the purse strings of their business. In the end, they nodded reluctantly in agreement. "Yeah, we've got your back. If those Heartless return, we'll help you defend the guests and the pub."

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged somber glances as they watched Frank's retreating figure. The Wayfinder Trio couldn't help but feel a growing sense of unease. This was far more than just cosplay and role-playing; they were dealing with genuine darkness and danger.

Charlie, sensing their unease, placed a reassuring hand on Terra's shoulder. "Look, guys, we know this is risky, but we'll do our best to keep everyone safe. We've got your backs."

Mac chimed in, his determination echoing Charlie's sentiment. "Yeah, as head of security - we'll be ready if those Heartless come back. We've seen you guys in action, and you're no pushovers."

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus nodded in appreciation, grateful for their newfound friends' willingness to support them in this peculiar predicament. However, they couldn't shake the feeling that things were about to get a lot more complicated.

Reluctantly, they turned their attention back to Frank's request. "Alright," Terra said with a heavy sigh. "Let's bring up those arcade machines. But we need to be vigilant. If anything feels off, we'll have to step in."

With a collective agreement, the group retrieved the vintage arcade machines from the basment. As they worked together to haul the dusty relics up the narrow staircase, the weight of their conflicting priorities bore down on them. However, the weight of the machines was causing some issues for our heroes of this story.

"Man this weighs a ton!" Charlie's voice strained, trying to help Mac bring up the Donkey Kong arcade machine.

"All in the back, Charlie." Mac proclaimed, lifting with his back.

"I think you mean, from your knees." Dee quipped in behind, lugging up the Pac-Man machine with Dennis and Aqua.

"Yeah, hello cripple city if you lift with your back, Mac." Dennis agreed, struggling to hold the machine in his grasp.

"Huh, no wonder I am struggling to get up in the mornings. Back has been killing me." Huffed Mac, the strongest one of the group.

Terra and Ventus carried up the Galaga machine at the rear end and even they struggled to lift the vintage, retro gaming machine.

"Be careful, Ven." Terra warned, acting like a big brother to Ventus. "I rather not have to use a curaga spell right now."

"Will do, Terra. I don't want a bad back like Mac." Said Ventus with a smile, lifting the machine with a strain.

With the machines now upstairs and back in the pub, Dee and Dennis commiserated with Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. "Don't be downhearted guys. Frank's always been like this," Dee admitted, rolling her eyes. "It's all about the money for him."

Dennis nodded in agreement. "He can't resist an opportunity to make a quick buck, even if it means putting the rest of us at risk."

Aqua, concerned for the safety of the pub's patrons, voiced her thoughts. "We don't want anyone to get hurt because of this."

Ventus added, "We've dealt with darkness before, but in this world it is different. It's unpredictable."

Dee, appreciating their honesty, offered a sympathetic smile. "Look, guys, we know Frank can be... unreasonable. But we'll do our best to keep everyone safe. Just be ready for anything."

"Yeah, we got your backs guys. With my martial arts and Charlie's wild child behavior - we are ready to kick Heartless ass." Mac chimed in, ready to bring the fight to the darkness intruding their reality.

Terra, Aqua, and Ventus exchanged heartfelt glances, appreciating the understanding and support of their newfound friends in this perplexing and unpredictable world.

"We're truly grateful," Terra spoke with a touch of emotion. "Knowing you're willing to stand by our side means a lot."

"Absolutely," Charlie declared, his voice filled with conviction. "You saved our skins back at the convention, and now you're part of the gang."

There was a sense of unity and a shared purpose washing over The Gang and The Wayfinder Trio. They readied themselves to confront the impending challenges, knowing that with their combined strength and camaraderie, they were prepared to face whatever extraordinary chaos laid ahead, with the Comic Con After Party at Paddy's Pub about to begin. Would the Heartless strike again? Would the hooded, mysterious man appear? Would the famous 'Rum Ham' make a cameo appearance for the guests. Only time would tell, with the adventure set to continue in this wild and chaotic fabric of fiction.
