Chapter 46.
Amanda walks over to Liv and Sonny's hospital room, carrying a big bag full of diapers, wipes, pacifiers, baby clothing, and other items. Upon entering, Amanda has a radiant smile on her face as the two adorable babies are snuggled on Liv's chest, both wearing matching pink baby hats and blankets. "Hey guys, how are you doing?" she says with a warm. "They're adorable."
Liv smiles, still holding both of her babies in her arms. "Hi, Amanda!" she says gratefully.
Sonny chuckles as he sees Amanda's face light up. "Welcome. The girls are doing great. It's a blessing to hold them both," he says softly with a smile.
Amanda smiles back at the both of them, looking at the precious babies.
Amanda takes a seat on the couch next to Liv. She admires the precious twins as they sleep peacefully on Liv's chest, their faces relaxed and peaceful as they sleep. "They're beautiful," she says in a soft tone, awestruck by the sight. As she looks closer at the babies, Amanda notices that they each have a small, faded pink birth mark on their left shoulder.
Amanda gazes intently at the two newborns as they sleep in Liv's arms, admiring how soft their blond hair is and how peaceful they look. She then takes a closer look at the babes, noticing that they have a touch of Liv's features, but Sonny's genes seem to be more prominent, especially in their hair. Although she knows that the babies are Sonny's, the sight still causes Amanda a slight pang of jealously, as the image of the two babies brings back all the memories of their past.
Amanda streched out her hand and touched one of the babys hands "What are their names?" She ask and looks at her friend Olivia. "That is Emillia Faye and the other baby is Carlotta Rose."
"Hello, little ones!" Amanda says cheerfully, making sure to be careful as she speaks. She looks back at Olivia and smiles, noting that both of the babies have unique names, but they sound so sweet and perfect for them. "Those are such beautiful names! May I hold one?"
Amanda holds out her arms and gently lifts one of the babies, holding the baby lovingly and comfortably. "So, Olivia, I assume they're identical? Or fraternal twins?" she asks, curious.
"They are identical twins."
"Oh my goodness, they look so alike! They must be trouble makers!" Amanda says as she laughs and bounces the baby around playfully. She's in awe at the sweetness and joy of the precious twin girls. "I guess double the trouble, right?"
Sonny smiled a big broard smile. "They are quiet babys most of the time."
"I can see that! They're super adorable!" She looks over at Liv and Sonny with a friendly expression. "They're so lucky to have a mommy and daddy who take such good care of them. If you don't mind me asking, are you guys going to have anymore?"
"No Amanda, I am way to old to get another baby. My gyn told me before I gotten pregnan that I was ou of child bearing years."
Amanda nods in understanding. "True! I'm glad you guys have your two gorgeous babies!" She then shifts her attention back to the little ones. "Did you say their names were Emillia and Carlotta?"
"Well, we thought about it for a long time. But, in the end, we decided to keep it simple and go with names that mean a lot to us." Amanda looks down at the precious twins and smiles warmly.
"What will their surname be? Amanda asked curious.
Carisi shrugs a little as he picks up the second infant and holds her in his arms. "We're still figuring that out." he says with a chuckle. "We've been playing with the idea of Benson-Carisi... Or even just Benson. But, who knows what Liv wants to do? She's the one who gets the final say in this, and I won't argue with her. It's her call."
"She is still in the room." Olivia says "I think we shall go, with just Carisi."
"Than its Carlotta Rose Carisi and Emillia Faye Carisi?"
Olivia nods, looking pleased as she says this. "That's right! They're perfect names. And they go so well with your last name." She smiles widely.
"Liv, can I get you something from the café here at the hospital?" Amanda asked as she handed the baby back to Oliva.
Olivia turns to Amanda, her expression grateful. "Oh, that would be wonderful, thank you. Could you get me a bottle of water, please? And maybe a muffin, if you don't mind." She offers with a smile.
"Sure, Sonny do you want something?" She asked her Sonny.
Sonny shrugs. "Nah, I'm good, thanks." He offers a smile.

As they both lay in bed, Sonny softly messaged Olivia's back. Her eyes were closed. A gentle smile graced Sonny's face as he felt the warmth of Olivia's body next to him. He looked into the tiny crib beside the bed and saw that the twins were peacefully sleeping.
He looked at Olivia and whispered, "We've been through so much together." She nodded slightly, "I'm just glad it all worked out in the end." Sonny smiled and continued to stroke Olivia's back, savoring the intimate moment they shared in the middle of the hospital. Sonny kissed her forehead lightly and whispered, "I love you, Olivia." She looked up at him with tired but grateful eyes and whispered back, "I love you too, Sonny.
"We have finally found the end of the dark tunnel."
"I am also thankful that we have each other. I couldn't imagine doing this alone. With you by my side, supporting me and sharing this journey with me, I feel like I can do anything. And I know you will be the best father I could ever ask for, Sonny."
As if on cue, one of the babies began to cry. Without hesitation, Sonny gently picked up the crying baby and cradled her in his arms. He began gently cooing and rocking the baby, trying to soothe her back to sleep.
"See? This is exactly what I mean." Olivia smiled gently at father and daughter and the gentle way Sonny held one of her babies. "This is amazing." Olivia gently stroked her daughter's hair and looked over at Sonny, who was holding her other twin in a protective embrace.
