Chapter 2
We've made it through the first month as interns! It's been tough, really friggin' tough, but it's also everything I've thought it would be. I head home to relieve my grandfather when Alex manages to get on the elevator with me. "Sorry, I didn't see you there." "Well, I'm not surprised since you were reading that textbook, though you usually manage to." Alex retorts with a laugh. "Yeah well, I'm tired and just want to crawl into bed and sleep the rest of the year." "Well, Bailey would love that, she'd have your replacement before the end of the day." "Sometimes, she can have it but others she's gonna have to pry it from my corpse!" I replied. "Well go home and enjoy your bed." "Thanks Alex, you too and see you tomorrow" "You better not, I have the day off so I'll be running errands and studying more". "Nice, well enjoy it then" I tell him as I leave the elevator. "Stop staring at my ass while you're at it too!" as I turn around to confirm that he is staring. "Busted Romeo next time, buy me a coffee first!"
