Last time on Sonic the Hedgehog, after smashing through that Stardust Speedway defenses, the trio might of Team Rose managed to make their way to the Metallic Madness base. But on their way, they were stopped by a robotic clone of Lam, Sonic's ally on South Island that helped in defeating Omelette then. After seemingly defeating the metallic menace, the trio prepared to head into the final battle, but a surprise attack from the returning Metal Lam led to the destruction of Vespa. Now enraged, Amy and Tekno confront the true mastermind behind Miracle Planet's metallic corruption…

Amy and Tekno stood before a large robot, shaped in design like Omelette, including her dress, glasses, and "smile". On the shoulders of the mech were the insignia of the Eggman Empire. The mech made a laughing motion as the duo hear Omelette's laugh.

Omelette: "Scared yet, little girls? Don't worry. I'll be sure to leave nothing of you left. As far as I'm concerned… You were never here!"

Amy: "Yeah? Too bad. We'll just have to leave a nice impression!"

Amy ran up to the robot, slamming her hammers down to vault high into the air, somersaulting before slamming her hammers onto the head of the robot. But this attack bounces back as Amy backflips away from almost being grabbed.

Omelette: "Oh sorry. Did I forget to mention that my mech, the Ome-Supreme, is quite durable? Because she is… VERY DURABLE!"

Omelette raises a foot before slamming it down, sending a shockwave towards the duo. Tekno quickly grabs Amy and flies her over the shockwave before tossing the pink hedgehog at the robot's chest. Amy lands on the chest before kicking off and slamming her hammers onto the chin of the robot, delivering a mighty uppercut.

Omelette: "Ack! …Lucky shot."

Tekno: "Man, she wasn't kidding. Whatever that robot's made of, it's not going to go down easy!"

Amy: "Any ideas!?"

Tekno went quiet as she tried to think of a plan. But Omelette wasn't going to give them time to concoct anything as she slams her mech's fists onto the ground, sending more shockwaves at the duo. As Tekno got Amy to safety, the mech's glasses started glowing before firing off a sweeping eye beam at Tekno. The canary dives under, crashing to the ground as Amy rolls and spindashes at the legs of the robot. But she once again bounces off with not even a scratch on the mech.

Amy: "Darn it! This thing can't be this tough, can it!?"

Omelette: "Can. And is!"

Omelette starts to laugh evilly before the ceiling opened. Tiny robots flew in, each resembling a firefly with a lightbulb.

Omelette: "Hotaru! Rain down electrical fire!"

The robots, Hotaru, flew over Amy and Tekno, firing down lasers of electricity at the duo. Amy and Tekno dodge the lasers, but a sneaky shockwave sends them flying to the walls of the arena, slamming hard enough to embed them into the wall.

Amy: "Ugh… After coming this far… We're not expected to lose, are we?"

Omelette: "Oh what? Feeling sorry for yourself? Losing to a genius isn't too terrible. In fact, you should be honored to be defeated by a powerful ruler like me!"

Tekno: "Who said we'd lose!? Not after what happened to Vespa…"

Amy heard Tekno mention Vespa, which helped get her mind back into the game, giving her a second wind. Omelette's mech just shrugs and shakes its head as the rider simply sighs.

Omelette: "A pity. Had you just come quietly, I'd convince Papa to let you become his personal bodyguards. With your strength, we'd become unstoppable. Sad to see such power wasted on fools like you."

Omelette's mech stomps its way over to Tekno and Amy before the Hotaru surround them, bulbs pointed at them and ready to fire. Her mech's eye beams charge up, ready to fire. Tekno looked around before sighing.

Tekno: "Surrounded on sides… Dead to rights by the mech… Sorry, Ames. I got nothing."

Amy: "...What would Sonic do at a time like this…?"

Amy thought about this question in her head as she grits her teeth. She thought back to the day they first met. Sonic defied the impossible to save her back then, running on such a steep cliff wall. She took a moment to calm down before closing her eyes. Amy began to concentrate, taking deep breaths.

Omelette: "Oh? Have you resigned yourself to death? How very boring. Oh well, I guess dying with dignity isn't so bad though. Means you're less of a coward."

Amy then opened her eyes before… tossing her hammers at the eyes of the mech, shattering the glasses and causing the mech's laser charge to cease.

Omelette: "Ack! Hey! I can't see!"

Amy: "Move, Tekno!"

Tekno didn't wait a second later as she jumped over the Hotaru's laser blasts, with Amy jumping over her's. Tekno moves to grab Amy in midair before flying to grab the hedgehog's hammers.

Tekno: "Great work, Amy! But how'd you know that would work?"

Amy: "Blind luck. And I wish that was a pun. I really just hoped it would. If we can't break the robot… What if it breaks itself!?"

Tekno got the idea before tossing Amy onto the robot, leaving to deal with the Hotaru.

Amy: "Hey! Brat in the can! Betcha can't hit me!"

Omelette: "Why you little…"

Omelette then raised a fist and slammed it where Amy stood. But Amy had moved away, causing the fist to hit the mech's head, dealing incredible damage to it.

Amy: "Aw, sorry! I'm right here actually!"

The mech slams a fist to its face, once again aiming for Amy, but missing. Amy hung onto the gut of the mech, causing it to gut punch itself. Then hung under the chin of the robot, resulting in it giving itself an uppercut. Amy then lured it to kick itself on the leg, tripping it onto the floor with a mighty slam. Amy then slams her hammers on the robot's face, though thanks to it punching itself, the hammers break through this time, destroying the face open.

Amy: "Okay, you spoiled brat! Come out!"

As Amy wraps up her fight, Tekno manages to use a similar strategy, using the Hotaru lasers against each other and destroying themselves. This forced the remaining robots to retreat in fear. Tekno smiles before landing beside Amy, giving her a high five.

Tekno: "Whew. Alright. We deal with the big boss and go home. Easy as pie."

Amy: "Yeah, as soon as the big boss comes out of this thing!"

Amy slams her hammers on the face again, breaking open the cockpit; but the cockpit was empty! No pilot at all!

Amy: "Huh!? No… pilot…?"

Tekno: "No way… Don't tell me she was remote controlling it."

As the duo ponder this, they suddenly hear the doors to the outside open. As they turn around, they see… Vespa! Alive, but badly hurt. Amy looks back at the injured bug bot, stunned silent before smiling and tearfully running to go hug her friend.

Amy: "VESPA! You're alive!"

Vespa: "Affirmative… Though barely… After that metal freak began exploding, I had just enough time to fly out of the dead zone… I sustained heavy injuries though…"

Tekno: "Nothing a little tech support won't fix."

Vespa: "Don't worry. I can still operate on a sub-defensive level if needed. Though it may not be necessary after you seem to have… defeated the largest obstacle here."

Amy smiles, proud of herself before looking at Vespa with concern.

Amy: "Are you sure, Vespy?"

Vespa: "Affirmative."

Amy and Tekno look at each other with some concern before trusting their friend's judgment.

Tekno: "Alright. Let's head to the real big boss and free Miracle Planet!"

Amy: "Righto, Tekno!"

The trio head to the other end of the arena and open a door to an elevator.

At the top of the elevator's destination, the trio confront Omelette in person, who was sitting on her throne as she looked… strangely calm.

Amy: "Boy when I called you a brat earlier, I actually didn't mean it… Anyway. Turn Miracle Planet back into its natural form this instant!"

Omelette leaned to one side of her throne before smiling evilly.

Omelette: "Nah. I don't think so."

As Amy and Tekno looked puzzled by the girl's strangely calm attitude, they are both electrocuted from behind… by Vespa. The two screamed out in pain before falling frontward to the floor as two big robots came to hold them down. One of them was green with a scarf, resembling something like an egg-shaped ninja; the other was a blue egg shaped robot who had a bazooka on its back.

Omelette: "Heavy Gunner! Heavy Shinobi! Hold them down… These two pests have caused me enough headache."

Gunner: "Of course, ma'am! These two aren't causin' us any hassle! Hut!"

Amy: "Ugh… V-Vespa… Wh-Why…?"

Vespa: "Oh sorry~ Was my acting that convincing?~ How truly dumb you fleshies can be~"

Vespa started to laugh with a much higher pitch voice than normal before smoke appeared, revealing another egg shaped robot, this one dressed like a yellow magician. Amy and Tekno's eyes widened as they saw they were duped.

Omelette: "Hehe~ You guys really are stupid. My big mech was nothing more than one big distraction. While I hated how you won, using my mech's blindness against it… It provided just enough of a distraction for me to activate my now series of Egg Robos… The Hard Boiled Heavies!"

Two other egg shaped robots came from behind the throne, one being extremely tall and kingly, holding a scepter of some kind, while the other was some kind of knight with a mace.

Omelette: "Impressed? Oh, I know. I'd be stunned silent too~ Truly, I am a genius."

Heavy King: "Milady. As much as gloating is fun to do, it might be more beneficial to have these two locked away for the time being."

Omelette: "Ugh. Such a killjoy. Alright. I guess I can cut it short just this once. Gunner! Shinobi! Take these two to the capsules and lock 'em up… tight. Once Papa is up and running again, we'll decide what do with them."

Amy: "Why… Why you little harlot! Let me go so I can smash all of you!"

Amy started struggling in Gunner's grip as he takes the pink hedgehog away, Shinobi holding Tekno following behind as they head to the capsule containment room. All the while, Amy was sending death threats to the group of villains, which Omelette ignored as she tauntingly does the 'blah blah' motion with her hand. Once the girls were gone, Omelette let out one of the loudest and happiest laughs she could muster, starting to dance around the monitor room like the child she was made to resemble.

Omelette: "I can't believe I actually won! Well, of course I would. I am the daughter of the great Ivo Robotnik~ If he saw me now, he would be so proud~"

Sage: "You know. There are other ways of making Father proud. Such as following orders."

Omelette slips on her foot before falling to the floor. She then stands up before glaring over to see Sage on a monitor, looking down at her robot sister.

Omelette: "Sage. What do you want? Come to try and ruin my good day? Because it's not going to-"

Sage: "No. Rather, I'm here to tell you of a way to make both of our days better, and our Father's the best day ever. And it involves you coming to West Island."

Omelette: "Eh? West Island? Why's that?"

Sage just smirks, happy to see she got Omelette's curiosity.

Sage: "You'll see. You want revenge on that sister of our Father's, right? Then come as quickly as you can. I'll be waiting."

Sage then breaks communication, leaving Omelette puzzled as she scratched her head. The Heavy King turned to his creator with a questioning look.

Heavy King: "Would you like to simply leave for Robotropolis, milady?"

Omelette: "Hmm… No. This actually piqued my interest. And I'm in such a good mood that I'm willing to entertain the idea. Alright. We'll let Miracle Planet go, since it jumps to another timeline in a few hours. But not before leaving my final present - the Ultimate Robot Generator! And with no heroes around to stop it, Miracle Planet shall become my Papa's paradise… FOREVER!"

Omelette laughs as she presses a few buttons, causing the chain latched onto the Miracle Planet to detach itself and land in the Never Lake with a mighty splash. The Metallic Madness base then detaches itself from the planet and begins floating away from the planet, blasting off towards West Island… as Omelette grins a sinister grin.

At the destroyed road leading away from the Stardust Speedway to the now empty spot where Metallic Madness stood, a large hole stood where the explosion took Vespa and Metal Lam. But down in the depths of the darkness, far below the hustle and bustle of the Stardust Speedway, pieces of robots lay in scattered bits. Some from the ones that Team Rose scrapped, but some of the pieces… was of Vespa herself. The upper torso of Vespa laid dormant… until movement was finally seen.

Vespa: "...Error… Error… Damaged… Can't… feel… legs… 404 - Legs… not… found… Error… Must… save… Miracle… Planet…"

Vespa crawled with her remaining arm over to the broken pieces of Metal Lam before brushing past it. Upon brushing past it, her circuitry began to act on its own, pulling in Metal Lam's parts to her battered and broken body… against her will.

Vespa: "Error… Stop… Please… Virus detected… Virus… Virus… Vi…rus… Cannot… purge… Losing… sense… Must… hold… on… Must… feed… Must… devour… Need… more…"

Vespa's eyes glowed a sinister red as her circuitry shot out of her broken body like tentacles, grabbing the metal scraps laying around and pulling them towards her, building a form of cocoon around her before all went still. Before long, Miracle Planet vanishes… Leaving its ultimate fate unknown…
