AN: I am so sorry I haven't updated in a while. It took me a while to make this chapter and I'm still not happy with it. This is really just a filler chapter because it is too early to start the wedding. But there will be other things happening before we get to the wedding. I hope you enjoy this chapter at least and I will try not to take so long with the next chapter. Read and Review and like and follow if you want more :)
Whickber Street was bustling with the usual noise of the cars and people passing by. All the shops were occupied by busy employees and customers. Except for Maggie's record shop, which is usually vacant (except for Aziraphale occasionally), and of course the bookshop. Nina was outside her coffee shop cleaning up the tables when she saw the Bentley coming down the road.
Crowley parked the Bentley in front of the bookshop. Nina gave them a little wave as she saw them get out of the car.
"Hello Mr. Fell, Mr. Crowley."
"Hello, Nina! How are you?" Aziraphale said joyfully.
"Hmm.. I'm doing well, besides my coffee shop always being busy."
"What about you two? How was your...date?" Nina gave them a knowing grin.
"Ngk!" said Crowley looking embarrassed.
Aziraphale started to stutter "I-I-It was-"
He wanted to tell Nina about their engagement but thought now wasn't the time or the place.
"It was fine. Absolutely Tickety-Boo!" He said finally.
"What about you and Maggie?" Aziraphale asked, steering the topic away from him and Crowley.
Nina looked confused and turned toward Crowley.
"Tickey-Boo?" She whispered.
"Don't ask" Crowley whispered back.
Nina raised an eyebrow and wanted to ask why but then thought it was probably best not to know.
Nina turned back to Aziraphale.
"Maggie and I are doing great. Actually, I invited her over to dinner yesterday."
"Oh, that's wonderful!" Aziraphale said excitedly
"It wasn't a date or anything like that. It was just a simple dinner. I'm still not ready to make anything official yet."
Nina was still trying to move on from the break-up with her former partner Lindsey. She didn't want to start dating Maggie yet. It was still too soon and she didn't want Maggie to be a rebound. She deserved better than that.
"I understand, dear. Take all the time you need, I am sure Maggie will be waiting for you." Aziraphale said.
"Where is Maggie?" Crowley asked. Not seeing her in her record shop.
"Oh, she said was going out to pick us up some pastries," Nina replied
"She should be back soon. Do you want to wait for her?"
"No, that's alright," Crowley said
Aziraphale was starting to get anxious. He really wanted to get back to his bookshop with Crowley and start making plans for their nuptials.
"We really need to be going," Aziraphale said abruptly
"It was good seeing you, dear. And give our regards to Maggie."
Nina was a little taken aback by his sudden abruptness but figured Mr. Fell probably wanted a little alone time with Crowley.
"I will," She said.
Aziraphale gave her a smile and then headed towards the bookshop, while Crowley gave her a nod and followed behind Aziraphale.
