[Volume 1 - Chapter 7]
[To Steal Or Not To Steal]
As the weekend was in two days, Kenichi wanted to give Subaru a present for his first week. He called out to Subaru.
Hearing his dad's voice, Subaru descended the stairs. "Coming!"
"Subaru, how about we go shopping for your new laptop today?" He asked.
Subaru's eyes lit up with excitement. "Yes, please, Dad! I can't wait!" he said, feeling thrilled at the prospect of owning his own laptop. "Last time i only had a flip phone. This time i will be more resourceful."
Kenichi smiled, feeling happy to see his son so enthusiastic about learning. "Alright then, let's get ready and head to the electronics store. We'll take the whole day if we need to, until we find the perfect laptop for you," he said.
Subaru quickly finished his breakfast like a glutton. He ran to his room, changed into comfortable clothes and put on his shoes. He couldn't contain his excitement and enthusiasm, he felt grateful to have a father who supported his passion for learning.
As they drove to the electronics store, Kenichi asked Subaru about his interests and preferences. "So, Subaru, what kind of laptop are you looking for? What features are important to you?" he asked, seeing his son's enthusiasm.
Subaru thought for a moment before replying, "I want a laptop with a good processor and lots of memory, so that I can run multiple programs and store lots of data. I also want a big screen, so that I can read and watch videos comfortably. And it would be great if it had a long battery life, so that I can use it for a long time without having to recharge it."
Kenichi nodded, impressed with his son's knowledge and discernment. "That sounds like a good plan, Subaru. Let's see what we can find at the store," he said as he parked his car.
As they walked into the electronics store, Subaru felt a rush of excitement and anticipation. He looked around the store, dazzled by the array of laptops on display. The bright colors and sleek designs of the laptops made him feel like he was in a candy store.
Kenichi approached one of the sales representatives and asked for assistance in finding a laptop that fit Subaru's requirements. The sales representative showed them a few models and explained their features.
Subaru carefully examined each laptop, comparing their features and specifications. He asked the sales representative a few technical questions, which further impressed Kenichi.
"Wow, Subaru, you really know your stuff," Kenichi said, proud of his son's vast knowledge.
Subaru smiled back. He felt a little remorse for lying to his own father. "Thanks, Dad. I've been doing a lot of research on laptops, so I know what I'm looking for. Library in school is really helpful for such things." he said.
However, this smile of Subaru did not went unnoticed by Kenichi. "Now you are acting like a kid." He said, ruffling Subaru's hair.
After much deliberation, Subaru finally found the perfect laptop - a high-end model with a fast processor, lots of memory, a large screen, and a long battery life. Kenichi was impressed with the laptop's capabilities and didn't hesitate to purchase it.
As they left the store with the laptop, Subaru felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. He couldn't wait to start using the laptop to explore new topics and expand his knowledge. "Though such things are not my main goal. What i want is to establish connections with people in all kinds of fields."
"Thank you, Dad," he said, giving Kenichi a hug. "This means so much to me." This hug was not fake. Neither Kenichi nor Subaru thought of it as such.
Kenichi smiled, patting Subaru on his back. "You're welcome, Subaru. I'm happy to support you in pursuing your passion for learning," he said.
Subaru felt a deep sense of security because of his father's supporting words.
Never having felt this much security in all aspects, the boy's eyes started to drip heavy tears. But unlike the cold tears he had always shed, these tears were warm.
"You okay kiddo?" Kenichi asked as he saw Subaru suddenly stop. "Are you crying?... Did I do something?" He asked with hesitation. Subaru did not notice it. Rather he could not notice his father's hesitation. Right now his head contained a single word.
"No!" Subaru shook his head with all his might to deny such horrendous claims. He looked towards Kenichi with a small smile, his eyes full of tears, yet not a single sniffle escaping his mouth.
"I... Am... Happy." He said, pause after each word as he barely held back the dam of his emotions.
Instead of questioning him further, Kenichi only gave a nod back to him. He reached out his large hand towards Subaru.
Subaru instead of wiping his tears, allowed them to flow freely. He took the hand of his loving father with his small and delicate hands.
After buying the laptop, Subaru sat in the car right next to his father. As they drove back home, Subaru couldn't help but feel grateful for his father's support. He looked out of the car window and watched as the scenery passed by, lost in thought.
"Subaru, is everything okay?" Kenichi asked, noticing his son's distant expression.
"Yes, everything is fine," Subaru replied, still looking outside.
"I hope you like the laptop we got you," Kenichi said, trying to start a conversation.
"It's amazing, thank you so much," Subaru said with a smile, finally turning to face his father.
"I'm glad you like it. It's important to have the right tools to pursue your passions," Kenichi said with a proud look in his eyes.
Subaru nodded, feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. He had never expected his father to be so supportive of his interests, and it meant the world to him.
As they arrived home, Subaru couldn't wait to try out his new laptop and start learning more about programming. He knew he had a long way to go, but he was excited to see where this new journey would take him.
"Thank you again, Dad," he said as they got out of the car.
"Anytime, my son. I'm here to support you no matter what," Kenichi replied, patting his son's back.
With those words of encouragement, Subaru knew he had reached a turning point in his life. He finally had the tools and support he needed to pursue his dreams, and he was determined to make the most of it.
As they drove back home, Subaru couldn't help but think about his past. How long had he lived alone in the depths of mind that time with his father made him cry like nothing else.
Subaru nodded and turned to look out the window again, lost in thought once more. He was excited to have a new laptop, but he was also thinking about how he could establish relations with high-end institutions.
As they arrived at their destination, Kenichi parked the car and turned to his son. "Subaru, I want you to remember something. This laptop is not just a tool for entertainment or leisure. It's an investment in your future, and it comes with responsibilities. You need to use it wisely and make the most of this opportunity."
Subaru nodded, taking in his father's words. "I understand, Dad. I'll do my best to make you proud."
Kenichi smiled and patted his son's shoulder. "I'm already proud of you, Subaru. Just keep working hard and stay focused, and you'll achieve great things. I know you will"
These words had good intentions behind them but for the old Subaru Natsuki, they were a slow poison. "This time I will not be crushed by the burden of their hopes and dreams."
With those words of encouragement, Subaru stepped out of the car and headed into their home, his new laptop in hand.
"I now have the tools to take the first step in my plan."
As they stepped inside, the warm and comforting scent of home greeted them. Naoko came to greet them, a smile on her face as she hugged Subaru tightly.
"Welcome back, my darling. How was the day? Did you get what you liked, Subaru?" she asked, looking at Subaru with motherly affection.
"It was great, Mom. Dad got me a new laptop. I can't wait to start it up," Subaru replied, excitement shining in his eyes.
"That's great to hear. Kenichi, did you have a good day at work?" Naoko asked, turning to her husband.
"Yes, it was fine. We had a lot of meetings, but everything went smoothly. Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you, I got a promotion!" Kenichi said, his voice filled with pride.
"Congratulations, dear! I'm so happy for you," Naoko said, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Subaru smiled at the exchange between his parents. It was simple moments like these that made him happy to have such a loving family.
"Mom, Dad, can i open up the laptop? I want to show you some of the things I learned today," Subaru asked fondly.
"Of course, dear." Naoko said, giving Subaru a fond smile.
Subaru took out his new laptop and set it up on the dining table with glee. He opened it up and began showing his parents the different websites he had explored, in his first life.
As he spoke, Subaru's parents listened intently, amazed at the amount of knowledge their son had. They were proud of him for taking the initiative to learn and explore on his own, and they could see the passion in his eyes as he talked about the things he had discovered.
For the rest of the evening, Subaru excitedly shared more and more of his newfound knowledge with his parents, and they listened and encouraged him every step of the way. It was a special moment for the family, one that they all would cherish for years to come.
As they sat together, sharing in Subaru's joy and enthusiasm for learning, both of them became sure of the fact that the future held endless possibilities and opportunities for their son. With his determination and thirst for knowledge, there was nothing he couldn't accomplish. They were happy to be a part of his journey.
"Subaru! It's getting late. You should be getting ready to to got bed." Naoko said. Looking at the clock, Subaru turned of the laptop, closed its lid and packed it in his bag with care.
"You look so tired!" Kenichi poked Subaru's cheek with his finger.
"Mom! Dad's hurting me!" Said Subaru, a grin splitting across his face.
"Not fair! Don't bring your mom into this. Fight me like a man." Kenichi pouted like a child.
"Honey...!" Naoko gave a threatening look to her husband.
"Eek-" The husband was scared. Rightfully so.
"Goodnight Mom, Goodnight Dad." For a moment he stopped, moving his face away from theirs out of self-hate.
"I am going to rest after i have changed into something comfortable." Subaru decided to end the conversation and went up to his room.
Like this, the night once more covered the world in its cold embrace.
"... Guess both of them are asleep." Subaru silently moved down the stairs and went towards the basement.
"I will rest after I have changed myself into someone I am comfortable being with." He did not liked the fact that he had to lie to his parents about sleeping. From the moment he left the company of his parents, he had been beating himself over the lie he told them.
CREEEEEAAAAKKK!!!
Still, he had to keep moving forward. His dislikes and likes didn't matter to him.
The door creaked a little loudly as he opened it wide. Sut since the basement was really deep underground, no sound could escape upwards.
"Right now i have 7 points in magic. I should mine up 7 cubic meters of dirt and then wait for 20 minutes more for every other cubic meter."
Subaru's hands were a blur as he worked his mining magic. Chunks of dirt and rock flew into the air, landing in neat piles around him, which would then immediately dissappear into his inventory. The sound of his gasps echoed off the basement walls as he worked tirelessly through the night.
Time seemed to fly by as Subaru focused on his task. He worked tirelessly throughout the night, using his mining abilities to excavate chunks of dirt from the ground.
[Mining - 2]
"I was waiting for when it would increase. Guess the limit for each level is mining 10 cubic meter." He mined without stopping as he marveled at the way his ability had grown.
It wasn't until his alarm began to ring that Subaru finally decided to take a break for now. He was covered in dirt and sweat, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment at what he had achieved. He looked at the pile of dirt he had mined and concluded that he had collected enough.
Looking at the massive pile of materials in his inventory, Subaru couldn't help but smile. He had accomplished a lot in just one night, and he couldn't wait to see what else he could do with his crafting abilities. "Seriously even removing a single cube of such size is such a pain normally but in just two nights, I removed about 24 cubic meters." With a sense of pride and satisfaction, he made his way back upstairs.
As Subaru made his way back up the stairs, he decided to peek into his parent's room. He cautiously peered inside and saw that his parents were still asleep. "Phew! That's good. For a second i was worried."
Subaru walked up to his room, laid in his bed and closed his eyes. "Exactly an hour remaining. After which either mom or dad will come to wake me up. Heh! And i wondered why i hated school."
Subaru felt a wave of exhaustion hit him as he closed his eyes, the fatigue from the night's mining session starting to catch up with him. He tried to will himself to stay awake, knowing that he only had an hour left until he had to wake up.
"Still feeling better than that time at Vollachia." Said Subaru as he felt the familiar metallic taste of blood in his mouth. Blood which was not there. "No! Not Again. I will not let them suffer nor will i indulge myself in my own misery."
As he lay there, he couldn't help but think about everything that had happened to him after he first arrived in that world. It had been a wild and though mostly a terrifying ride, but he had also experienced moments of great joy and love.
Despite the challenges he had faced, Subaru felt grateful for all the people he had met along the way - Emilia, Rem, Beatrice, Petra, Ram and many others - all who had helped him and supported him in ways he never thought possible.
Lost in his thoughts, Subaru slowly drifted off to sleep, feeling a sense of peace and contentment wash over him.
Subaru rubbed his eyes and sat up in bed as he heard his mother's voice calling his name. He glanced at the clock on his bedside table and realized that only 30 minutes had passed since he had laid down to sleep. He felt it unnecessary to mention about his prediction coming true as none were there to listen to him.
"Coming, Mom!" he called back, getting out of bed and stretching his arms. "My muscles are sore. Guess even walking will be an exercise today."
He quickly got dressed and made his way to the kitchen, where his mother was busy preparing breakfast.
"Good morning, dear," Naoko said with a smile, as Subaru entered the kitchen. "Did you sleep well?"
Subaru nodded, still feeling a little groggy. "Yeah, I did. What's for breakfast?"
"We're having pancakes," Naoko replied, flipping a pancake on the griddle. "Your favorite."
Subaru's stomach rumbled in anticipation. He took a seat at the table and waited eagerly for breakfast to be served.
"Here. Tell me if they are good." Said Naoko as she turned another pancake upside-down.
As he dug into his pancakes, he couldn't help but feel a sense of peace which was not there yesterday. "Thank"
"So tasty!" Subaru exclaimed with a wide grin, as he savored the flavor of the breakfast his mother had made for him. The pancakes were perfectly cooked, the syrup complimenting its texture.
Naoko smiled at her son's enthusiasm, happy to see him enjoying the meal. "I'm glad you like it, dear. I thought I'd make something special for you today," she said.
Subaru finished his breakfast quickly, feeling energized and ready for the day ahead. He thanked his mother and headed upstairs to his room to get his backpack.
As he came back to the kitchen, he saw Kenichi finishing his breakfast as he turned to Subaru. "Do you want me to drive you to school today, Subaru?"
Subaru looked up, surprised by the offer. "Really? That would be great, Dad. Thanks!"
"He never comes to school because of his busy schedule except a few rare occasions. So why is it that he is coming to school today?" Subaru pondered but couldn't think of the reason why. "Is it related to whatever the principal told him about me?"
Kenichi smiled at his son. "No problem, Subaru. Just give me a few minutes to finish up here and we can head out."
"Thanks for breakfast. Usually you are in a hurry so it's nice to have some extra time with you before school. Said Subaru.
Kenichi smiled. "No problem, son. I'm happy to spend time with you too."
Subaru quickly finished his breakfast and grabbed his backpack, making sure he had all his books and supplies. As they headed out to the car, he felt grateful for this moment with his dad.
In the car, they chatted about various things, from the weather to the upcoming school events. Subaru enjoyed the comfort and warmth of being with his dad like this, something he had missed during his time in the fantasy world.
Kenichi glanced over at his son with a smile, noticing the way Subaru's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"So, how's school been treating you, son?" he asked.
Subaru shrugged, a small grin forming on his face. "It's been alright, I guess. I've been studying hard and trying to make new friends." He uttered a half lie.
"The only friends i need in this world are those i can use to further my goals." He thought.
"I'm proud of you, Subaru. You're doing great," Kenichi said, patting his son's shoulder.
Subaru beamed at the compliment. "Thanks, Dad. I've been trying my best." This was no lie. For no matter how twisted he was, Subaru Natsuki always did more than what was asked of him.
Kenichi chuckled. "Well, that's all anyone can ask for, isn't it? As long as you keep giving it your all, you'll go far in life."
Subaru nodded, gazing out the car window as they drove. "I know. I just hope I can make you and Mom proud."
"You already have, son," Kenichi said, his voice warm and reassuring. "We're so proud of everything you've accomplished, and we'll always be here to support you no matter what."
Subaru's eyes lit up with gratitude. "Thanks, Dad. I appreciate it." To Kenichi, these words were all that mattered, whether he had heard it the first time or the thousandth. Their effects would go to the depths of his soul as always.
Kenichi smiled, feeling a surge of love for his son. "Of course, son. You're the most important thing to us, and we'll always be here for you. No matter what."
Subaru nodded, his eyes shining with happiness. "I know. And I'm grateful for that, Dad. I really am."
For a while, both of the remained silent. Seeing that no one was around them, Subaru decided to take a leap of faith. He fidgeted nervously in his seat, glancing out the window at the passing scenery. Finally, he gathered his courage and turned to his father.
"Dad, do you think it's right to only try to save the people close to you?" he asked, his voice hesitant.
Kenichi raised an eyebrow, but kept his eyes on the road. "What do you mean, Subaru?"
"I mean, like, if I only tried to save my friends, or the people I care about, and didn't bother to help anyone else. Does that make me... a monster?" Subaru explained, still unsure if he was making sense.
Kenichi's expression softened as he took in his son's worried face. "No, Subaru, it doesn't make you a monster. It's natural to want to protect the people you care about. But you have to remember that every life is valuable, no matter how close they are to you."
Subaru fell silent, his mind racing with new thoughts and questions. But he was comforted by his father's words, and he knew that he could always count on his supportive father to guide him. "But what if I couldn't save everyone? What if I had to choose between the people I care about and those i don't even know about?"
Kenichi sighed and rubbed his temples. "Subaru, there's no easy answer to that question. I wish I could tell you that the world is a fair place, and that everyone deserves to be saved. But the truth is, life is complicated. We can only do what we can, and sometimes that means making difficult choices. I just hope that you never have to choose between such horrid choices."
The irony of the last sentence did not go above Subaru's head.
Subaru nodded thoughtfully, but didn't look convinced. "But what if I'm just selfish? What if I only care about the people close to me, and not about anyone else? Am I still not a monster?" He asked with desperation, his eyes seeking validation for the words leaving his mouth.
Kenichi shook his head. "No, That's not true, Subaru. I know you. You have a big heart, and you care about everyone. Whether you know them or not. Both of us are only humans, and can only do so much. Don't beat yourself up over it."
"Just Humans." These words ran through the broken moral compass inside his mind.
"But what if I become something MUCH more?" His mouth uttered these words without his control.
"?!" For a second, Kenichi felt a chill run up his spine. He turned his face away from Subaru and forced his focus towards the road. For whatever strange reason, his body felt sick at even looking at the broken face face his innocent son. As if his visage was made up of sand, ever changing.
The car was deathly silent. Both of them wanted to speak but couldnt continue their conversation any further as there was no reason to do so. Thankfully, they had arrived at school.
"Goodbye Dad. See you back at home."Subaru exited the car without looking towards him.
"Hum." Kenichi could only nod for he was at a loss for words.
As Subaru walked towards the entrance of the school, he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that lingered within him. He felt like he was losing control of himself.
"What's happening to me?" Subaru muttered under his breath, his teeth grinding against each other. How could he let his act slip in front of his father.
Suddenly, a voice interrupted his thoughts. "Subaru-kun!" It was Aoi, though her hair were now an entirely different color now.
"Good morning!" She bowed politely.
"Why are her hair black now? Looks like she dyed them." He thought.
Subaru forced a smile. "Morning, Aoi."
"Is something wrong?" she asked, noticing his troubled expression.
"No, it's nothing. Just a bad morning. Guess I slept on the wrong side of the bed." he replied, trying to hide his inner turmoil.
Aoi looked at him with concern. "Well, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here for you, okay?"
Subaru felt a warmth in his heart. "Thanks... I really needed that."
As Subaru walked into his classroom, he was greeted by the familiar sights and sounds of his school. Students chattering, papers rustling, and the occasional cough filled the air. He walked towards his desk, taking a seat and placing his bag on the floor next to him.
"Good morning, Subaru-kun," Greeted his classmates.
"Morning," replied Subaru with a small smile. He appreciated the familiarity and comfort of his school routine. It was a small escape from the chaos of his mind. "Children truly are free from any and all burdens. How lucky." He envied their lackadaisical attitude.
He was brought out of his contemplation as he heard the class door being closed.
Their teacher, Mr. Nakamura, walked towards the board and greeted the class. He began the first lecture of today, delving into the intricacies of mathematics.
"So students. Today we learn how to... " The lecture went on about 50 minutes before the kids became bored out of their minds. As the subject was too dry for their taste no one was paying attention to the teacher, the teacher looked for any student he can set of an example. By disciplining one student, the whole class would learn to behave. "Hmm... That kid with evil eyes looks really bored huh. Not even paying attention to the teacher's words." He thought.
"Hey you... Subaru right? Tell me what is 8 times 7?" He asked a basic question.
"56." Subaru sat back down to his seat without looking at his now slightly irritated teacher. "You next to him! Tell me what is 7 times 9?"
"Um... 79." The kid answered.
"Wrong! Pay attention from now on. And i am telling this to every one of you." He said angrily.
"What's his deal?" Subaru did not liked the attitude of his teacher. "Surely he can discipline in a much a better way." He thought.
Just like everyone else, Subaru was not paying any attention towards the lecture. If one carefully looked at what he was doing, they would think that he was playing with something in his hands. Which were hidden behind his desk.
[Craft Has Gained A Level]
[Skill [Shape] Obtained. User Can Change Shape Of Anything]
"Neat! I had been grinding that skill for almost a whole day." He thought as he looked at the now completed sculpture in his hand.
The sculpture in question was made up of simple clay.
Squish!
With a slight compression by his hands, the clay crumbled as it lost its shape. "Now rinse and repeat." He said to himself as he once again gave back the shape to clay he had took with his very hands.
In less than an hour, his movements had become precise. It was probably because of him trying to not make any noise to alert the teacher. "This one looks good enough."
Crush!
After an unproductive lecture, Subaru sat up from his seat and stretched his legs. "Feels nice to not listen to his voice again." He said to himself.
"You shouldn't say stuff like that. My daddy says it's rude." Aoi appeared out of thin air.
"Try not to scare me like that again." He said calmly.
"You don't look scared though."
"Well i am. And I would appreciate it if you could stop pestering me. Don't you have any friend to talk to?" He asked dismissively.
"...No. No one wants to play with me?" She said gloomily, "would you like to be my friend?"
"Great. Now i can't even go back power level my skills... Still I do have a use for her or not?" He thought, quantifying her existence to a single yes or no.
"Well the next teacher can come at any moment so go back to your seat. If you want to, we could go to the library during the break. I have somethings to do there."
"Really!" She asked with enthusiastically, her bubbly personality coming back to her.
"Sure." As he answered, the next teacher entered the classroom.
"Everyone! Sit Down!" He said loudly.
As everybody sat down, Subaru resumed his work.
The bell rung, indicating the start of break. Most got up from their seats and left the classroom. The rest stayed back to eat lunch. The sound of children arguments and gossips filled Subaru's heart with nostalgia. Suddenly, his ponderings were interrupted by another message of the system.
"Looks like [Shape] grew to level 8. Though why did it grew to level 8 when the rest of my skills evolved at level 5?"
[All Skills Have Different Level Caps Beyond Which, They Evolve. The Higher The Cap, The More Ways It Can Be Used In.]
"I have another question for you. What was that slime dungeon? Can i go back there?"
[That Dungeon As You Called It, Is A Place Where Only Slimes Exist. To Answer Your Question, Yes You Can Go There. Would You Like To?]
"No. Not now." He mentally told the system.
"Hey Subaru! You said we would go to the library." Aoi interrupted.
"Yes Yes. Now follow me." Subaru stood up from his seat and walked to the library with Aoi following him behind like a duckling.
As they entered the library, Subaru moved towards an empty corner. The seats there were placed in such a way that it would be easy for him to steal the books. He turned a corner, and put a book into his inventory before Aoi could turn towards him.
"Absorb!" He told the system to consume the books. By his order, the system caused the book to turn to light for few seconds and then disappear.
[Skill [Program] Obtained]
"Yes! I knew i had seen this book the last time here. Thankfully it was not taken by anyone else." He thought.
"What was that light?" Aoi asked, trying to peek behind Subaru to find anything interesting.
"It's Nothing. The lights here are not kept in a good condition so they often flicker. Somethime, they even burst." He clarified.
"So what are you going to read?" She asked.
"She is as curious as a cat". Subaru decided not to word out this thought.
"Well I wanted to read more about computers?" He took another book on the same subject and sat on the nearby chair. Aoi sat in front of him, curiously looking at her new friend.
Subaru started reading the book which he now could understand as he had gotten much information about the subject.
"Hmm... At least the concepts are easier to grasp."
And for the entire break, he sat there reading the book in his hands at frightening speed.
Aoi looked at him, her eyes filled with wonder. "How is he reading that fast?"
Still, the break had to come to an end. And so it did.
RING!
"Hurry! We have to go back to the class." Aoi urged her evil eyed friend.
"Hey Aoi go back to class, I will come in a bit." He tapped his fingers on the table, urging her to go back to class, so as to not be late because of him.
As Aoi once more turned the corner, Subaru looked around and consumed another book.
After consuming another book, he and Aoi quickly walked towards back to their class.
They entered the classroom just before the teacher could.
"Phew! I would not want to stand outside like them." Aoi pointed towards the boys and girls who were standing outside the class as a punishment.
"Sigh... There are still two lectures remaining." He said, bored out of his mind.

Now this chapter was a little bigger than the normal. I am a little late because my university has once again opened. I spend most of my day there. At night, I sleep. Even editing is hard when I am on a tight schedule.
As for the story, nothing new. i do want reviews though. The only reason, I even returned to this story was because of the occasional bookmarks and favorites. Another reason was the user who told me to make it a multiversal fanfic. I was unsure but now I am going to try to write it. What should the next world be?
