-Chapter 2-

"Trick or Sweet!"

It was a windy Halloween night in Inkwell Isle. Kids running around going door to door, asking for candy. Well, if none is looking, take more than they can chew and make a run for it. Some we're going to a haunted house, having house parties, telling ghost stories, and some were going around playing pranks. Which is all pretty normal during this holiday, but for devil, it's was one of his favorite days were he can come up to the surface and scare the daylights out children, while getting candy of course.

Since he is literally the devil, he doesn't need a costume because he can shape shifted into anything that will make you run for the hills. To the devil, he felt like he was the inspiration behind this holiday, he literally was something to be afraid of. Not only that, there are even some folks who would go out of their way to try to look and act like him. He was truly flattered, but to him, none can surpass the devil.

When he arrived on the surface by elevator, he spotted a pair of kids walking carelessly through the woods, carrying a wagon full of candy. The devil grinned mischievously, "I think I'll show these brats the true meaning of trick or treat." The devil decided to turned into his snake form to sneak up upon the unsuspecting kids. As he got close enough, he slither around them and grab them. He then showed his fangs and hissed at them, causing them to scream in terror and immediately run away. When the kids left, the devil turned back to his old self and started laughing. "I still got it." The devil said, gathering all the candy the kids had left behind and headed back to elevator.

He was in such a good mood that he decided to tell henchman about his fun and share some of what he had earned with him as well. As a reward for keeping Stickler away from him so that he can go on break from soul collecting and go scare some children. He's got plenty of time to do that anyways, why does he always had to spoiled the fun? The devil sighed, as much as he hated the guy and very much would like to incinerate him, he needed someone to keep track of souls that he collected. He pushed the down button on the elevator and started to think of ways of torturing Stickler without destroying him in the process.

When he arrived in hell, he couldn't wait to tell henchman about his stories of what he had done on the surface that revolves around making people's life miserable. So, he decided to go find him until he heard a voice that startled him from behind. "Um, excuse me!" The devil's whole mood had quickly change to annoyed, he slowly turned around and glared at Stickler. "Stickler, what are you doing here?" As if he needed to ask since Stickler only appears when he does something that isn't center around soul collecting or talk about whatever nonsense that will most definitely annoy him even more.

"As you were doing the usual routine of ignoring your responsibilities of keeping the flow of soul collecting going, I've recounted all the souls we have collected during the last few months, and it seems that we still need one more soul if you want to reach the goal of having ten thousand souls in the soul vault." The devil rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah, I already know, but we can deal with that later, I still got plenty of time to do that. And besides, it's only just one soul, I can get it anytime I want." Stickler, of course, wouldn't let the devil shirk off his responsibilities just so easily. "You said the exact same thing when we needed to reach the goal of having nine thousands souls in the soul vault two years ago, and by you not doing your part, we were behind schedule. At this rate, we will be reaching our required goal for another two years, but in your case, maybe three." The devil was already losing his patience, but then again, when did he ever not lose patience with this guy around? The devil sighed, "Ugh, fine, I'll go get this last soul. Tell henchman to put this candy in my private quarters until I'll get back." The devil turned around and headed back to elevator and started mumbling under his breath about annoying auditors.

When he did appeared on the surface, he decided to go take a look around town to see if anyone was miserable enough to be taken advantage of. Which to the devils luck, he spotted a young woman crying on a park bench, with a cupcake by her side trying to console her. He took this chance to hid behind some bushes and eavesdropped on their conversation.

"It's going to okay Bon Bon, you can always make some more candy." The cupcake said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "No, it's not okay C.C, I'm tired of those children coming into my shop, and stealing all the candy from me. I work so hard to make the best sweet treats that anyone could ever tasted in their life, and this how I'm treated!?" Bon Bon said, furiously wiping away her tears. "I just wish I can give them a taste of their own medicine! Then, that will make them think twice about messing with me!" The cupcake looked concerned, he understands why she's upset, but was surprise when she said that she wanted to get revenge on little children. "Uh, Bon, you know their just children right? There's no need to get worked up and do something you might regret. Think about the future of your candy shop." As he said that, he got up and gave Bon Bon a very long, red stripped candy cane, that had a sweet smell of peppermint. "Here, I wanted to give you something to cheer you up from all the stress of running the shop all on your own." Bon Bon, who was wiping away her last tears, gave a glance to the gift. It immediately brought a smile to her lips. "Oh my, thank you C.C." Bon Bon said, jumping up to give her friend a big hug. The cupcake gave a small laugh. "Your welcome Bon." With that said, he waved goodbye to her and headed straight home.

After he left, Bon Bon immediately sat back down and started to frown. She wasn't upset about the gift, in fact, she loves it, but was upset at her friend. "Why can't he see that maybe getting back at those little monsters will instantly give me the respect that I rightfully deserve?" Bon Bon had said to herself. "You, deserve better." Bon Bon jumped, frantically looking around. "Who said that?" As she said that, the devil had appeared, grinning from ear to ear. "As I was taking a midnight stroll, I couldn't help but overhear about you saying that you wanted to get revenge?" Bon Bon, still in shocked, nodded. "I think I can help you with that. How about I give something that will indeed, grant you with not only respect, but power over those who mistreated you? What do you say?" She hesitated at first, but thought about what he had just said, and immediately stood up. "I will gladly take you upon that offer." She said, giving the devil a handshake. The devil smiled, "Well, it's a deal then."
