The State Verses Derek Morgan Ch 65
Dave, Reid and Derek headed back to rejoin the others because Derek really needed to pull his baby girl aside and tell her everything that Robert had told him before she hears it from somebody else. When they pulled up in front of the house Reid looked at his friend and said, "you can do this", Derek looked up and said, "but what if I lose everything?", Dave said, "son, you're not going to lose kitten, she loves you as much as you love her so have faith in that love".
Derek nodded his head and got out of the SUV and started making his way inside the house, when he walked into the living room Penelope put her finger up to his lips to keep him quiet because the boys were asleep. Penelope smiled and motioned for Derek to follow her outside to the patio, he intertwined fingers with her and led her to the double swing so that they could talk.
As she sat down beside him she could tell that something was wrong and from the look on his face it was bad, really bad, she then sighed and gently squeezed his hand and said, "you know that you can tell me anything, right?", he said, 'I don't want to lose you baby girl, I almost lost you once and I couldn't stand it to lose you again".
Penelope said, "I'm here handsome, I'm right here and I'm not leaving, you're not getting rid of me", he took a deep breath and started telling her everything that Robert had told her and by the time he was finished she had tears streaming down her cheeks. She pulled him into her arms and said, "ohhhh angelfish, I'm so sorry, I'm so so sorry", he wrapped his arms around her and said, "he did all of that to frame me for your murder for revenge against me because I killed his father in self defense".
Penelope said, "we've been with this job a long time and nothing should surprise me anymore, but hotstuff, this does, I can't believe that somebody would go this far, go as far as to kidnap me and have somebody look identical to me and have that person rape you and because your man bit juice was inside her it would look like you raped her, errr, me, whoever, that's so so wrong handsome and I'm so sorry that it happened to you".
He hugged her tight and said, "if you don't want to marry me now I will understand", she said, "Derek Michael Morgan", he looked at her and she said, "I've been in love with you for so long, you are the love of my life, you are my everything and we're not going to let this, we're not going to let what happened pull us apart, not after we worked so hard to be together".
He weakly smiled and said, "what would I do without you baby girl?", she wiped the tears that were now streaming down his cheeks and said, "well you're not going to have to find out because I'm not going anywhere, you're stuck with me mister". Derek kissed her lips gently and said, "I was going to wait till our date tonight to ask you this, but, I can't wait any longer", she looked at him and said, "what is it that you want to know?", he said, "when do you want to get married?", she smiled at him and opened her mouth to speak.
Derek sat looking at her as she said, "I don't want a big wedding, the only thing I want is a wedding where our family is all there and the sooner the better handsome, the sooner the better". Derek smiled and nodded his head yes in agreement and said, "have I told you how much I love you?", she giggled and said, "I do believe you've mentioned it a time or two butttttt i never tire of hearing it".
He cupped her face in his hands and said, "Penelope Grace Garcia I love you more than anything else in this world and I can't wait for you to marry me so that I can show you everyday for the rest of our lives just how much you mean to me". She leaned in and claimed his lips with hers in a passionate kiss, when they pulled apart Penelope said, "let's go" he looked at her and said, "go, go where?", she said, "to tell the others that we want to get married as soon as possible hotstuff, what else?", he laughed and said, "no complaints here" as they got up and ran inside.
When they got to the kitchen Fran looked up and said "what's wrong?", Penelope said, "nothing's wrong, it's just", Reid said, "it's just what?", Derek said, "we want a small wedding with only our family there and we", Dave said, "well spit it out son". Penelope laughed and looked at Derek as he said, "and the sooner the better", the family looked at Penelope and she nodded her head yes and Fran clapped her hands together and said, "well then, somebody get us a computer, we've got some plans to make".
Sarah ran and grabbed a laptop and brought it to the table, everybody sat down as they started making plans, all they wanted was something small, something simple and most of all something beautiful and with all of the family putting their heads together there was no doubt that they would and could pull off the wedding of the year in no time.
