Eddy's Brother
After the group finished lunch at the Pokemon Center in Royal Avenue, they decided to call their parents to tell them about their adventures so far. Right now, Eddy was talking to his parents about their most recently completed Island Trial.
"I can't believe you and your friends battled on a volcano!" said Eddy's father.
"Wasn't it dangerous?" asked Eddy's mother.
"Nah." said Eddy. "The lava was hardened, so we didn't get burned or anything."
"Well, that's good to hear." said Eddy's mother. "Are you having fun there?"
"It's been a blast!" said Eddy with excitement. "Me, Ed, and Double-D have a lot of fans here, and we're getting lots of money from our battles, plus selling valuables we find!"
"It's good to know you have a bright future ahead of you." said Eddy's mother with pride.
"Not unlike your brother." said Eddy's father.
"Oh, that guy." said Eddy with disdain. "What's he been up to?"
"We don't know." said Eddy's father. "We haven't heard from him in weeks."
"I hope he's staying out of trouble." said Eddy's mother.
"We can only hope." said Eddy's father. After a minute, Eddy and his parents finish their chat, and hang up.
"So, who wants to call their parents now?" asked Eddy. Ed and Sarah stepped forward.
"We do!" said Ed as he grabs the phone and starts dialing his home phone number.
"It was a good idea to talk to our parents and let them know how we're doing so they don't get worried." said Edd.
"Yes, it was." said Jimmy. Back at the Cul-De-Sac at Eddy's house, Eddy's parents were discussing what their son just told them.
"This Pokemon stuff is the best thing that's ever happened to Eddy." said Eddy's mother.
"Yes, he's learning a lot about responsibility; towards himself, and others." said Eddy's father. Just then, they heard knocking at their front door.
"Who could that be?" asked Eddy's mother.
"If it's that door-to-door vacuum salesman again..." Eddy's father started to say while punching the palm of his hand. Eddy's mother opens the door to show a male that looked like a taller, older Eddy with a goatee, wearing a dirty brown newsboy cap, red flannel jacket over a yellow basketball jersey, khaki pants with a wallet chain, and greenish-grey shoes; in his left hand was a bulging suitcase.
"It's our other son." said Eddy's mother. Eddy's father lets out a sigh of exasperation.
"Kind of wishing it was that vacuum salesman right now." said Eddy's father. He walks over to the front door and stands next to his wife.
"Hey, folks!" said Eddy's brother with a big grin. Eddy's father looks at the suitcase in his older son's hand.
"What happened now?" asked Eddy's father in a neutral tone. Eddy's brother's grin turns into a frown when he realized that his father knew that he was up to something.
"I lost my job at Mondo A-Go Go, and my landlord kicked me out of my trailer." said Eddy's brother in a frustrated tone of voice.
"What?!" replied Eddy's father. "Don't you know how long it took your mother and I to find you that job?!"
"What did you do?!" asked Eddy's mother.
"Park security caught me stealing money from the cash boxes in the game booths and reported it to my boss." said Eddy's brother.
"How much?!" asked Eddy's father.
"A couple thousand bucks." said Eddy's brother. His parents look at him with furious expressions.
"I can't believe you!" said Eddy's father. "Right now, I'm thinking your old school made a mistake giving YOU a diploma!"
"Whatever." said Eddy's brother without any respect in his voice. "Can I crash here until I get back on my feet?"
"You're lucky we're not the kind of people who'd let our kids live on the streets." said Eddy's father with exasperation.
"Sweet." said Eddy's brother as he walks inside and tosses his suitcase on the living room floor. "Hey, pipsqueak! I'm moving back in! Come bring my stuff to my room!"
"He's not here." said Eddy's mother.
"Is he hanging out with those loser friends of his?" asked Eddy's brother.
"No; he and his friends are away on another Pokemon journey." said Eddy's mother. A confused look appears on Eddy's brother's face.
"Pokewhat?" replied Eddy's brother. Eddy's parents tell their older, less accomplished, son about how over three months ago, the Eds got themselves sent to the Sinnoh Region, what Pokemon are, how the Eds became Pokemon trainers, and along with their achievements there. Eddy's brother didn't really believe them, until his parents showed him the video recording they made of the Lily of the Valley Conference finals at Edd's house. Eddy's brother saw the intense Pokemon battle between Edd and Eddy. They then brought him to Eddy's room and showed him the first-place trophy he won at the Lily of the Valley Conference, along with the picture of the Eds with their Pokemon.
"So, you see, Eddy's managed to find lots of success as a Pokemon trainer." said Eddy's father.
"We're so proud of him." said Eddy's mother with a tear in her right eye. Eddy's brother can't help but keep gawking at Eddy's trophy, which his dad notices.
"Yes, that is quite the trophy." said Eddy's father. "Makes the one you have in your old room seem like a piece of scrap." Eddy's brother growls when he sees that his father was right.
"And where did you get your trophy?" asked Eddy's mother.
"Bought it in a store." muttered Eddy's brother, looking away. Eddy's father crossed his arms and shook his head.
"So, your brother actually won a trophy while you had to buy one." said Eddy's father.
"Pitiful." said Eddy's mother.
"So, where's the little runt now?" asked Eddy's brother.
"Like we told you, he's on another Pokemon adventure." said Eddy's father. "He and his friends were personally invited by someone important where they are now."
"He's in a place called Alola." said Eddy's mother.
"Why does that name make me think of Hawaii?" asked Eddy's brother.
"Well, Alola is like Hawaii, but with Pokemon." said Eddy's father.
"So, Eddy gets to hang out on beaches with babes while I'm missing out on it?!" asked Eddy's brother with a frustrated tone of voice.
"Yeah, and having an exciting adventure from what he just told us a few minutes ago over the phone." said Eddy's father.
"I hope he brings me and your father back some tropical gifts." said Eddy's mother.
"Next time he calls, we'll ask him." said Eddy's father.
"Well, go to your room, and unpack your stuff." said Eddy's mother. With a grumble, Eddy's brother walks to the living room, picks his suitcase up off the floor, and was about to go upstairs, when a thought enters his head.
'Why should pipsqueak get to hang out on beaches, while I'm here with my folks?' Eddy's brother asked himself. He quietly sneaks out the front door, closes it, gets into his old, beat-up car, and makes his way back to the Mondo A-Go Go theme park, while his car was dragging its muffler on the road. An hour later, he arrives at Mondo A-Go Go, and heads for some docks on the other side of it where some fishing boats were. He asked some sailors if any of them knew where Alola was; and unfortunately, one of them did who was on a boat that was headed there. He takes some of the stolen money he still had on him to pay for a ride there. Once preparations were made, the boat he was riding leaves the docks.
'Look out, pipsqueak. Big bro's coming.' Eddy's brother says to himself.

Authors' Note: Looks like trouble's coming to Alola. Don't worry, we won't make things easy for Eddy's brother; maybe we'll make him seasick a lot on the way to Alola, or maybe fall overboard and get stung by jellyfish (or Tentacool, depending on where he is.).
