The Journal of an Emperor: Entry 2267984
I stood inside my cabin, sipping tea and looking out the window. Outside was a cliff, overlooking the vast Canadian forest. I debated what my actions would be for that day. Perhaps I would wrestle a bear, and get some good exercise in as I preserve my body.
It was getting to that time again, as I had memorized every piece of literature in my abode. And I grew tired of rereading The Cardinal by Henry Morton Robinson. I would need to venture into the world again for a short period, check on humanity's progress, and calculate their rate of growth.
The last time I checked in on humanity was 1953, as stated in entry 2137486. My journals have begun to clutter up my cabin once again, and I fear that I may have to find a new location to stash them. The previous one was discovered by Archeologists and a paper was published on the discovery. Fortunately, my reach is still far, and the paper and the archeological find disappeared off the face of the earth shortly after.
As I sipped my tea, I heard an approaching jet engine. This was especially strange, as I had previously made this a no-fly zone with the local government. Had it been so long that they had forgotten?
I listened as the jet engine soared overhead, before slowing and coming to a landing somewhere behind my cabin. I set down my tea and left to investigate, exiting through my back door.
A short trek through the woods led me to an unnatural clearing. The plant life has been burned away in a large crater. If this was caused by an explosion, how did I not hear it?
Standing in the middle of the crater was a large mechanical creation. It stood on two legs and operated a machine with its hands. It had no flesh in the slightest, as its entire body was covered in metal parts. Even its face seemed to be made of metal.
I immediately assumed it to be an Alien. It pressed a few buttons on its rectangle, and the device in front of it began making noise. I watched from the tree line, but it spotted me first. Its metallic hand shifted, pieces of steel moving around as it made a hollow chamber.
The chamber began glowing, and it fired a fast-moving projectile. I dodged, moving quickly to the left as the projectile soared past, exploding a tree when it collided.
I ran forward, bobbing and weaving around the Alien's gun. I called upon the power I kept within and threw it forward. Lighting flew from my fingertips and struck the metal Alien. The electricity jumped around on his body, searing the metal, and making the Alien scream in pain.
I reached out with my power again, this time different than before. I extended my reach with telekinesis and gripped the Alien's arm that had the gun attached. I twisted and pulled. He warped the metal, making a very loud tearing noise as his arm was removed.
I expected the metal shell of the Alien to have a fleshy inside, but there was only more metal and wires. I pulled the arm towards me and grew in size so I could catch the arm as if it were my own.
The Alien kneeled on the ground, its metallic flesh scarred and burned. I aimed its severed arm and pressed two wires together. Sparks flew, and the arm hummed to life. The arm shot another projectile, it collided with the Alien exploding and opening a large hole in its chest.
The Alien lay dead, and I tossed its arm to the side. I walked over and lifted the Alien off the ground. It disturbed me, how it's face almost looked human.
Something large landed behind me, causing a crater to form and the wind to blow my hair in front of my face. I saw its form through the dust that had been kicked up and struck with my hand.
It caught my arm and threw me over its shoulder. I landed hard on my back, but quickly flipped over and got back up to my feet. As the dust settled, I got a clear view of my opponent.
It was similar to the other Alien but bigger. Its color was primarily gray with black accents and glowing red eyes. On its right arm, a large cannon was attached.
"You're a big human." Was it only a comment? I raised my hand to shoot another stream of lighting, but the Alien was faster. Raising his arm, and shooting me in the chest with the cannon.
The sheer force behind it launched me back into the trees and burned my skin fiercely. It hurt quite a bit, but didn't stop me from standing back up.
"Tougher than most humans too." The Alien said, holding his arm up.
It fired at me again, but I was quicker this time. I moved, not physically, but moved from one place in space to the other. The shot missed me, and I returned the favor by shooting lighting at the Alien.
It sidestepped, and I missed it completely. No matter, as I closed the distance and punched the Alien in the stomach region. The sheer strength behind my blow lifted the Alien off the ground slightly, but its metallic body hurt my fist. It didn't react to my blow and returned the punch it's against my jaw.
During the brawl, a formidable adversary emerged, displaying impressive skill as they unleashed a relentless barrage of punches. Drawing upon my combat knowledge, I deftly maneuvered to deflect their metallic fists, ensuring no strikes found their mark. But the turning point came when their hand transformed, morphing into a peculiar spout-like contraption. Suddenly, a surreal spectacle unfolded before my eyes—a pink flail, adorned with a menacing mace at its tip, materialized.
The flail whirled through the air, its chain coiling around my arm with searing intensity, scorching my skin as it drew me closer. A brutal knee strike drove agony into my gut, the unforgiving metal digging deep into my flesh. Summoning every ounce of my telekinetic power, I forcefully repelled the Alien, creating distance between us.
With an unyielding grip, I exerted pressure, causing the Alien to yell in agony. Its metallic frame screeched and groaned against the relentless force. Yet, fueled by a seemingly unbreakable determination, it raised its arm cannon once more and unleashed a blast in my direction.
Even though its metal skin was battered and broken, it still stood tall, ready to continue the fight. I imagined one of my previous weapons, a large sword I wielded quite a time back (see entry 5534). The blade felt comfortable in my hands as if I was greeting an old friend.
The Alien swung his mace, and I teleported out of the way. The impact of the mace caused a crater to form in the ground, tossing up dirt in a wide area. I swung my sword into its metal body, and it dug deep into its shoulder. It yelled again but quickly knocked my grip off my sword with its arm. Uppercutting me with its mace, grabbing me by the neck, and slamming me headfirst into the ground.
Imprisoned in its grip, I executed a sudden teleportation, escaping its clutches with a rapid flicker. Capitalizing on the element of surprise, I conjured a storm of crackling lightning that surged from my hands, enveloping the Alien in searing agony. Despite its agonized cries, it displayed unyielding resilience, remaining upright even amid the electrifying onslaught.
Refusing to yield even while electrocuted, it vaulted onto me, assaulting my body with relentless metallic fists, forcing both of us to crash to the unforgiving ground. The relentless blows shattered bones within my face, each impact a painful reminder of our perilous struggle.
Summoning the power of telekinesis once more, I hurled the Alien away, propelling it to its feet where it promptly regained its stance. With a calculated motion, its left arm transformed into a menacing blade, while the other reverted to its normal state from the mace. In response, I beckoned my sword back into my grasp using telekinesis, brandishing it with purpose. I wiped away the blood trickling beneath my battered nose, a testament to the brutality of our encounter.
It lunged at me faster than expected, and I barely got the moment to block its blade with my own. It attacked in quick stabs in succession, an advantage concerning its smaller blade. I found an opening and attempted to attack with my sword. It grabbed my wrist mid-way into my swing and stabbed its blade into my shoulder.
I yelled in pain. The Alien twisted its blade, making it hurt even more. I teleported behind it, wound gushing blood. Bringing my sword down, the Alien predicted my attack and dodged, swinging its blade in the process. I barely dodged in time and it slashed against my cheek.
It brought its arm back and tried stabbing again. I caught its arm and brought my sword down. It caught my arm.
We stood in a deadlock, neither of us giving any strength up to the other. The Alien was bleeding a purple liquid from some torn metal on its face, while I could feel blood clotting in my nose and dripping down my face. I forcefully reached out to its mind, blasting it with pain to make it falter.
The Alien, in response, reached back its head and slammed it into mine. The metal dug into my skull and caused immense pain to my cranium. Most likely giving me a concussion at the time, I almost faltered but pushed back against the alien.
We pushed against each other until the device planted by the other alien chimed. We both glanced at the device, and I unknowingly gave it an opportunity. Its body folded in on itself, metallic parts whirled and shifted. Transforming into some sort of tank.
The main cannon on the tank fired, colliding with my body and pushing me back. I dug my fingers into the ground, refusing to fall onto my back again. The Alien transformed back from the tank into its bipedal form.
"Starscream, it is ready." The Alien said into its wrist, and another voice responded to its message.
"At once Megatron." So it had a name. Megatron.
"I will admit human, you gave me a better fight than I expected. But I have other matters to attend to." Megatron said as I heard the whistling of a plane grow near.
The device shot a capsule into the air. It was caught by a fast-flying jet, which sped off past my eyesight. I turned back to Megatron, holding a hand against the wound in my shoulder.
Megatron jumped into the air, transforming into a different form than the tank. Instead, he turned into some sort of dual-rotor helicopter and flew off into the sky.
I watched the Alien leave. Then turned and began limping back to my cabin. I remembered the name Megatron. And vowed to get my revenge. One day, the alien would die.
Arriving back home, I checked my shoulder wound and it had already begun to close. I found a first aid kit and applied bandages to the wounds.
Afterward, I sat at the table. My hand gripped the wood, and it began to splinter and break under my strength. How dare they come to Earth and harness its resources? Perhaps they had no resources left on their planet, but that meant they could do the same to Earth.
I would not let that happen.
Earth belongs to one species. And that is humanity.
As I packed to re-enter society, I heard a knock on the door. I knew it wasn't one of my contacts, as they would arrive the next day.
I opened the door and was greeted by a man wearing a black suit and sunglasses. On his chest, he had a small pin on the flag of the United States of America. Behind the man was a trio of cars most likely belonging to the American army.
"Good evening sir. Would you mind if I asked a few questions?" The man said, having to look up while addressing me.
"Yes, very much so." I did not need another country's government snooping around my cabin, and I had to finish packing the essentials.
"Please sir, it'll only take a moment of your time. Have you seen any strange occurrences around this area recently?" The man asked, and I looked down at him.
"No."
"May I ask why you are injured?" He continued.
"I fought a bear." And with that, I closed the door.
The man continued to knock, but I ignored it. Finishing up packing my knapsack, I slung the bag around my shoulders and teleported out of the cabin.
