"It is now 4 AM." Lisa Lavender said, her eyes empty as she looked resigned to her fate. "We are within the final moments of Remnant. There seems to be an aerial battle happening over the Death Egg, but I do not think it is enough. We will be with you for as long as we can, but until then-"
Suddenly, the news broadcast started to glitch out before the screen turned black.
"Hey, what's going on?" A resident in Vale wondered.
Suddenly, the screen turned back on… however…
BGM: News (Splatoon 2)
"Y'all know what time it is!"
"It's Off the Hook, coming at you LIVE from Inkopolis Square!"
"What's up, party people! I'm Pearl and this is my good buddy Marina! Y'all may not know who we are but we at Inkopolis have heard the nonsense that's been going on in Remnant as of late. That pathetic moldy Egg Salad thinks he can just blow y'all up just like that? Puh-LEEZE. I've heard of clownfish but he takes the cake!"
"It took us a while to contact you, but that's mostly because we've been preparing."
"Yup! Now that we're finally making our move, it's time we calm everyone in Remnant down and unite as one! Yeah, that includes you clownfish for blaming the Schnees and Sea5ons! Don't think we haven't heard of that seahorse *bleeeeep*"
"Pearl! Not on live TV…"
"Bah, whatever! Now let's go live on the stage where we'll make everyone calm down and fight against that moldy son of a gun."
On the stage, spotlights shone down as the curtains opened up, revealing the Squid Sisters and joining them were Deep Cut, DJ Octavio and Ink Fresh, as even Captain Three and Agent Eight were also on stage as well. Ribbon, Cari, Cuttlefish, Ikura and Azure were also there acting as bodyguards.
Pearl and Marina hopped up on stage as well.
"Yo, Octavio, give us a beat!" Pearl requested.
"One beautiful melody coming right up!" Octavio said.

Callie and Marie took the mics with smiles on their faces, clasping their hands together. "We all know Remnant's having a horrible time right now!" Callie said.
"So we thought we could give you a boost and to give those who are tirelessly fighting Eggman! One final hope!" Shiver said.
"Ay!" (Enjoy!)
"Y'all are gonna love this! LET'S ROCK AND ROLL!" Frye cheered.
"Let's go, girls!" Sayaka smiled.
"One middle finger to that clownfish, let's go!" Pearl exclaimed.
"Without further ado, let's get on with it!" Marina smiled.
Back on Remnant, with a lot of people looting in Vale, one man turned her attention to the sound of the beat, looking at a broken window with TVs stacked on top of each other. He walked over and turned up the volume on each one, which in turn, caused everyone else to stop what they were doing.
On screen, Marina pointed at the camera where a picture of the Death Egg was seen at the top right corner with them starting to sing.
"Who are these guys?" One of them wondered.
"I don't know… but I feel a little hyped for some reason!"
One thief dropped everything that he looted and nodded his head to the beat, raising his arms up high. "Let's cheer 'em on! For the sake of Remnant!"

Back with the heroes…
"It's got to be here somewhere…" Samus said as she scanned the area with Chief, Mando, Chell, Blake, Weiss and Meryl walking around with her.
"So that's the Spartan life?" Mando asked.
"Yeah." Chief nodded. "It wasn't exactly an easy life."
"I'm… still trying to get past the whole "UNSC kidnapping you" bit." Blake said. "Not to mention all that crap with Halsey."
"I don't envy you in the slightest." Mando said.
"Neither do I." Samus said. If Halsey tried that with me, I'd kick her ass and then some.
"Tell me more about yourself, Samus." Chief requested.
"Well, I used to be a soldier for the Galactic Federation, but I left."
"What for?"
"Grew tired of the bullshit. I wanted to do things my way. Adam was my commanding officer and we didn't exactly see eye to eye, even though he was a father figure to me. We had a unique relationship though. Every time he asked everyone "is that clear", everyone gave the thumbs up. However, he asked me "Any objections, lady" and I would respond with a thumbs down. Most people thought of this as rebellious, but Adam knew I wasn't like most soldiers."
"So you grew tired of their crap, huh?" Mando asked.
"Amongst other things. Adam got so caught up in his job that it drove me nuts, so I decided to go my own path. No one stopped me. Then I became a bounty hunter because I wanted to make an actual difference. After all, our home was razed by the Space Pirates… and to my dismay, the Galactic Federation wasn't exactly keen on stopping the leader, Ridley. I thought I was the only survivor left."
She turned to Chell. "Imagine my surprise that all these years later, Chell was alive."
Chell gave her a small smile.
"Anyway, the Galactic Federation respected my decision and offered up a few odd jobs here and there. It paid well… and if it involved Space Pirates, the better."
"Sounds like something I'd do. I'm a bounty hunter myself." Mando said as he turned to Grogu who seemed interested in the food. "Hey, I'm not sure if that's sa-"
"It's fine. I already scanned it. The food's actually safe to eat." Samus said as Grogu happily ate the food.
"...Did he just slurp up that corn dog?" Weiss asked.
"You should see him with frogs."
Meryl's face turned green as she lightly gagged. "I… could have gone my whole life without knowing that…"
"Sounds like you have it pretty good over here. As a fellow bounty hunter, I can respect that." Mando said.
"Yup." Samus nodded.
"Personally, I'm not fond of the idea of you leaving the Galactic Federation, but… I can respect your choices." Chief said.
"Does it help that they've plotted to get rid of me for a while? Apparently if I was deemed a "threat" or whatever, they'd dispose of me. And hoo boy, let me tell you of this X-Parasite nonsense."
Nearby, Ruby and Ratchet were also looking for the switch. "Gah, it's gotta be here somewhere." Ruby rubbed her head.
"So, I don't mean to get a bit personal, but what happened with your arm? It looks a little… infected." Ratchet said.
"Oh, this? It's a plant arm." Ruby responded. "I've had a run in with a doppleganger that wanted my head on a silver platter and during our final fight, she severely damaged my arm to where I had to get it amputated."
"Yikes. You feel fine?"
"I will admit, I fell into depression for a while because it felt like the whole universe was out to get me, but… I finally got out of that mindset. I still have a moment here or there, but it's not as bad as it used to be."
"Well, glad to see you're feeling better, Ruby." Clank said.
"Another thing, what kind of weapon do you got?" Ratchet asked.
"Here we go…" Ruby chuckled as she pulled out her scythe.
"Wow! Fold it up just like that? Impressive." Ratchet said. "Do I see a trigger right there?"
"Yup. It's also a high impact sniper rifle."
"Ah, a gun scythe. Interesting!"
"It's also a gu- WHAT?!" Ruby yelled in surprise.
"You get a lot of confusion during your explanation, don't you?"
"Yes!"
"Well, most people would get confused. But here's the thing with us."
"What's that?"
Ratchet smiled cheekily. "We're not most people!"
"We have a few gadgets in our arsenal as well." Clank said.
Ruby's eyes sparkled. "Show me~!"
Back with Samus…
"Aaaand that's the story of how I stuck it to 'em."
"Wow. I don't blame you."
"...Cortana?" Samus wondered.
"Hi. I interconnected our channels together. Wow, you got a lot of tech that's kinda similar to ours! Though… we don't have arm cannons."
Chief nodded. "I fully understand now, and I fully respect your decisions now."
"Now I'm curious." Mando said as he turned to see Doom Guy walking by, searching for a switch. "What's his story?"
"Ah, right… you see, the Slayer-"
"AAAAAAH! OH MY OUM, I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE!" Ruby was heard screaming.
BGM: Funny Footsteps (Fire Emblem: Three Houses)
"Pretty impressive, no?" Ratchet asked, showing off his arsenal while Ruby looked like a typical kid in a candy store.
"Oh heck yes!" Ruby exclaimed as she suddenly hugged him and turned around. "Mom! Mom! Can we keep this Lombax?!"
Rosalina giggled. "No, honey. We don't own people… er… lombaxes?"
"Well, it was worth a try." Ruby giggled, letting go of Ratchet.
"Hoo…" Ratchet brushed himself off. "You're definitely a hugger, I'll give ya that!"
"Certainly reminds me of someone I know." Clank said, letting out an amused laugh.

Nearby, Chiaki let out an amused laugh. "I was wondering when those two would hit it off."
"Took 'em long enough." Hajime chuckled.
With Erza and co…
"Hey, you need someone to talk to?" Lucy asked. "We know how much Argus means to you."
Erza closed her eyes, clenching her fists. "I can't forgive Eggman for what he did… he destroyed my childhood home. Sure, I was taken to the Tower of Heaven back then, but I still considered Argus my home… but… when I ran away from that hellhole, I was nowhere near Argus. I walked tirelessly until I found Fairy Tail…"
"The rest was history." Gray nodded, patting her on the back. "I'm sure… something will come about. I don't know how, but…"
"We're with you, Erza." Lucy said gently.
"Yeah, we're all in this together." Laxus said.
Erza smiled. "Thanks, you guys… although, I wish Natsu was here."
"Hmm…" Laxus folded his arms, closing his eyes. "Come to think of it, where is the bonehead anyway?"
"I feel like I can hear him…" Lucy said.
"Yeah, so do I…" Juvia nodded.
"Hold on, what's that noise?" Gray asked as they walked closer.
"COME ON! What kind of park is this if your food is all metal!"
"Yeah, what's the big idea?!"
"Are you trying to kill us?!"
"Sir, just think of it as having more iron in your diet!"
"MORE IRON?! DO I LOOK LIKE A STEEL HEADED BUFFOON DO YOU?!"
They quickly picked up the pace… and saw Natsu clobbering an Egg Robo with Happy cheering him on before Natsu picked up the Egg Robo and threw him into the air. "FIRE DRAGON'S ROOOOOAAAAAR!"
"Natsu!" Lucy exclaimed.
"Hmm?" Natsu turned around after the Egg Robo exploded. "Oh hey guys! Can you believe the customer service in this dump? The food here's awful!"
"Not only are the fish made of metal, they bite back too! What's up with that!" Happy added with a sigh, causing the group to sweatdrop.
"Some things never change…" Fried deadpanned.
"Sooo, what'd we miss? Happy and I were taking care of the Grimm in Vale until we heard about the Amusement Park. Thought we'd meet you up here!"
"You heard about Argus being nuked, right?" Lucy asked.
"Argus got blown up?!" Natsu said in surprise as he turned to the Death Egg. "HEY, YOU BOILED EGG! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA BLOWIN' UP ERZA'S HOME LIKE THAT?! Let's go, Happy!"
"Aye, sir!" Happy sprouted his wings, grabbed Natsu and took off, but Erza dragged him away with a fishing pole.
"Oh no, you don't. We go together."
"Ooooh… fine!" Natsu folded his arms. "So, how far did you get?"
Erza turned her head. "So far, we're trying to find the other half of the light bridge. Sonic and his team just came back. We don't know where the other switch is at."
"Alright, let's go find that sucker then!"
Meanwhile, with Futaba…
"Okay, seriously… where the hell is it?" Futaba wondered as she scanned the area. "Hey guys? Have you found any leads yet?"
"Sorry, all empty here." Akira said.
"Nothing on my end!" Ryuji said.
"Sorry!" Ann spoke up.
"I wish I had good news…" Yusuke said.
"Unfortunately, I've found blanks…" Makoto answered.
"There seems to be nothing of the sort here. I've already contacted Raven and Team Dark, but they haven't found anything either." Akechi said.
"I'm not seeing anything eith-WAH! OOMPH!"
"Haru, are you okay?" Futaba asked.
With Haru…
"I'm fine… wait a moment…" Haru said as she noticed a cable that she tripped over. "Hang on, I think I found something." She said as she followed it out of curiosity, her speed picking up as she took a right turn before she came across a booth, and noticing Demoman sleeping drunkenly.
She curiously approached the booth, noticing it was a ring toss game. She grabbed the rings and with a smile, she gracefully tossed them into the bottles.
The switch lit up slightly as the rings returned, noticing one nodule turning blue while the other three were darkened.
"Ah, I get it." She said as the bottles moved around right after. She tossed the rings into each other with quick precision and grace, getting them all.
The third level activated as the bottles then moved up and down in a zig zag pattern. She followed the movements, quickly memorizing the pattern as she gracefully tossed the rings into the bottles with pinpoint accuracy.
The fourth level?
Bottles were shooting out of cannons, doing trapeze stunts, flipping over by themselves and were jumping off of high fives. One was even juggling a few..
Haru blinked. "Goodness me, I'm not surprised this was rigged." She said as she tossed the rings, but ended up missing a few, which, in turn, caused the whole process to start over from level one.
She quickly got back to the fourth level within seconds as she studied the movements, closing her eyes and slowed her breathing. One with the bottles…
She opened her eyes and gracefully tossed the rings in, including the ones that were doing flips and cannon shots.
DING DING DING DING DING!
The switch lit up as one final ring appeared before her. She picked it up, and noticed it was heavy like a horseshoe as she took aim… and threw it, where the ring slammed into the switch, pressing it with enough force to activate the second half of the light bridge.
"You're welcome~!"
"Haru, what did you just do?" Makoto asked.
"Played a game." She said, lightly smacking Demoman on the cheek to wake him up.
"Zzzz… huh… wha? Oh hey, the light bridge!"
Kyoko immediately took notice of the light bridge after peeking from underneath a park bench just in case if there was a hidden button.
She felt excitement build inside of her. She was ready to rub it in Eggman's face that not even he could kill her.
…No no, she was above rubbing it in, not to mention she had to keep her excitement in check. For now.
"Alright guys, we're almost done here!" Silver said. "Let's move out!"
Everyone started to run off, only for Goofy to notice Bowser was working on something. "Hey Bowser! The bridge is open! You coming?"
"I'll catch up. I need to put some finishing touches on this!"
Kyoko turned her head, seeing what Bowser was doing. An amused smirk crept up on her face when she got a closer look.
"Make sure it's flashy, big guy."
"Have you forgotten who you're talking to?" Bowser chuckled, both of them sharing a fist bump as Kyoko took off.
"Hmm? I'm picking up on something coming from below us." Cortana said. "Some sort of… odd radio frequency. I think it's Japanese…?"
"Can you play it?" Chief asked.
"Yes, but I'm not sure if it can be understood. Alright, here we go."

"What the…?" Cinder wondered.
"That music… who's singing that?" Dimitri asked.
"I think I've heard that before." Claude said.
"Sounds… melodious." Edelgard mused.
"I know that song anywhere." Coco said as she was being piggybacked by Yatsuhashi.
"I'm not sure what this song is about, but it's honestly pretty catchy." Cortana said.
"It's hope." Ruby said as they ran through the light bridge as some flying Egg Robos tried to shoot at them, only for a few Forces of Nature to knock them out of the sky.
A blast door quickly sealed itself shut at the end of the light bridge. However, Sora summoned his Keyblade. "I got this!" He said as he AirStepped toward it and then with a mighty swing, the blast doors were cut to shreds with his Ultima.
Sora turned around. "Alright, good to go!" He said as everyone ran in. Big Boss stopping to take a look at the Keyblade with a raised eyebrow.
"...Car keys sure have changed over the years." He muttered. "Next thing you tell me, glow sticks will cut anything to shreds." He ran in.
"Man, you're behind with the times, aren't you?"
"Says the guy who can't figure out computers." Chiaki teased as she ran in.
"Hey! I'm… slowly working on it!" Sora frowned as he ran in last.

"INTRUDERS ALERT! INTRUDERS ALERT! MAN YOUR STATIONS!"
"WHAT STATIONS?! THEY'VE BEEN RAN OVER BY TRAINS OR RANDOMLY BLOWN UP BY "THE FLOP"."
"OH, JUST MAN UP ALREADY!"
Futaba cackled. "Nice one!"
Chiaki giggled. "I do what I can~!" She said with a proud smile as they continued on. They were immediately greeted by Egg Robos scrambling for weapons and trying to shoot 'em down, only for either Chief, Mando, Ratchet, Jinx or Big Boss to shoot them down.
Anyone who weren't shot down were immediately greeted by Ryuko, 2B and 9S's blades. A few of them even managed to get punched in the face by 2B's gauntlets.
"Having them on the front lines, huh?" Ruby asked Carmen.
"Well, it'd be rather boring if they were in the back of the pack." Carmen smiled as Gilgamesh joined in on the fun.
"Men, we can't let the Chief one us up like this! We need to show him what we can do! Let's impress him!" Sarge declared as they all ran ahead and joined in on walloping the Egg Robos.
A few Egg Hammers approached them, their hammers expecting to smash them all into pancakes. "These ones are mine!" Carmen said, jumping ahead.
She pulled out a katana and swung down at the Egg Hammers, slicing them to bits with heavy amounts of damage, cutting through their hammers like butter as they fell to the ground.
"Now THAT is a katana." Deadpool said.
"I'll say~!" Ruby's eyes sparkled with awe as they continued forward with Sonic, Shadow and Silver boosting ahead and knocking out anything that moved that wasn't slaughtered by the summons.
As they continued, they were suddenly stopped by a wall of iron that made them stop in their tracks.

"OHOHOHOHOHOHO!"
Eggman approached in his flying egg machine. "Thought you could continue your rampage, did you?"
"Oh hello Baldy McNoseHair." Futaba folded her arms, casually activating her Maiden powers.
Eggman smirked. "So I see Fria granted her powers to you. Good, I was hoping those wouldn't have gone to waste."
"Eggman, you despicable man! You nuked Argus to ashes… what have you got to say for yourself?" Erza demanded.
"It's an invasion, what… did you expect me to come in with flowers and chocolates along with a "May I invade your town"? No. You gotta do it with a bit of flair!"
"A bit of flair?!" Junko said with disgust. "You're making everyone fall into despair over this… what's worse is that you made Weiss fall into despair! That's unforgivable… you and your actions are causing everyone to panic. It's disgusting!"
Eggman casually put his hand on his chin, his elbow resting on the cockpit. "Nice speech. Tell me, is that you or the River of Lethe speaking?"
Junko froze, her eyes widening.
Chiaki put her arm out in front of Junko, glaring at Eggman. "That was her speaking from the bottom of her heart. I can tell it's her."
"Oh really? This coming from the girl who dunked her in there. What kind of friend brainwashes someone?"
"That's enough!" Mukuro walked up. "Junko's changed for the better. She's not brainwashed."
"How quick you are to deny it." Eggman smirked.
"This coming from the man who puts animals into machines." Kyoko said. "Even I can tell Junko speaks from her heart."
"Ah, Kyoko. You've definitely survived. I will admit, I was a bit shocked that you lived but at the same time, you're not one to die easily."
"All thanks to you, Doctor."
Samus aimed her arm cannon at him. "This ends now, Egghead."
"Indeed." Eggman got out of his flying egg machine. "Take the first blow, I insist!" He said, his arms wide open.
Ironwood growled, pulling out his gun. "I plan on to."
"Hold on. This is obviously a trap." Watts said.
"Yeah, I have to agree. There's no way he's going to leave himself wide open just like that." Sonic said.
Eggman smirked. "How right you are." He said, snapping his fingers as Pyrrha landed on the ground in front of them.
BGM: Tension (Super Mario Galaxy)
"P-Pyrrha…?" Jaune asked, his eyes slowly widening.
Erza clenched her fists. "What did you do to her?"
"Oh, nothing… just took her when she least expected it and put that Metal Cap on her. The same one that had her Polarity go haywire when Bowser had everyone under castle arrest! Now she obeys only me. And before you ask, yes! This is the original Pyrrha!"
"Pyrrha… no…" Nora whispered, her hand over her mouth.
"That's barbaric…" Ren could only say.
Jaune, meanwhile, his blood boiled. Tears formed in his eyes. "You…" He growled as Eggman gave him a sinister smirk. "YOU BASTARD!" He yelled, drawing his sword in a blind rage and lunged at Eggman.
"Jaune, wait!" Nora exclaimed as Jaune swung his sword with a vicious war cry…
…Until Eggman caught the blade of his sword with only one hand.
"Wh-what…?!"
"Your precious friends, those Pokemon Trainers, the huntsmen, and even your little girlfriend couldn't stop me." He gloated as he leaned closer to Jaune's face. "What could possibly… make you think YOU can?"
He gripped Crocea Mors tightly before he rammed the hilt of the sword into Jaune's gut before throwing an uppercut into his chin to knock him on his back.
"But please… go on then-"
Eggman tossed his sword as Jaune slowly stood up, gasping for air.
"TRY to take her back. She will not lose… like everyone expects her to."
With a smirk, he threw down a flashbang. When the light cleared, Eggman was gone as only Pyrrha was standing there.

Undefeatable Machine - Pyrrha
Pyrrha snapped her fingers, although there was a bit of trembling like she was trying not to do it, but she snapped her fingers anyway as robotic versions of herself came out of the wall of iron and attacked the group mercilessly.
Jaune slowly picked up his sword as he was joined by Ren, Nora, Jinx, Big Boss, Ruby, and Erza.
Pyrrha conjured a metallic spear in her hand as a tear ran down Jaune's cheek before he stood firm. "I'll get you out of there." He said as Pyrrha vaulted over the air and landed in front of Jaune. The two of them quickly engaging in combat.
Nora quickly flanked her and swung her hammer along with her Tinkaton, but a protective shield formed beside her, blocking the attacks as she kicked Nora in the knee, pushing Jaune away as she roundhouse kicked Nora down.
Ren tried to push her away with Wind Magic while Jinx fired a rocket directly at her, but Pyrrha put her hand up, her polarity stopping the rocket as Jinx looked at her in bewilderment. "What the-" She began to ask before Pyrrha pushed it back. "Ack!" She yelped as the rocket blew up behind her.
Pyrrha shifted her eyes, quickly running away as Big Boss shot at her with his Patriot until she sprouted metallic wings and flew up into the air, only to be greeted by Erza's Black Wing Armor as she slashed her away.
"Pyrrha! I know you're in there somewhere!"
Pyrrha said nothing as the two lunged forward, the former conjuring up two swords as they clashed against each other. She used her polarity to push Erza into a wall while a Rose Tornado formed behind her as Jaune leapt into the air and slashed at her, but Pyrrha turned around and used her polarity to drag him close and grabbed him by the throat.
Her eyes flitted for a moment, seeming to say "I'm sorry" before flying down and slamming him into the ground with enough force to nearly shatter his aura. She quickly ran away soon after as Jinx fired her machine gun at her until she turned around and used her polarity to stop the bullets before tossing them to the side.
She punched the ground as a wave of metal slammed into them and wrapped around all of them. "Hnnngh!" Ruby grunted as Pyrrha walked over to Jaune, a katana forming in her hand.
"Pyrrha… p-please…" He whispered as Pyrrha raised her hand, ready to finish him off and then swung down.
…However, she was stopped by telekinesis as Silver teleported over to her. "Let's get you out of there." He said as he used his powers to tear the metal coat out of her, noticing that it was starting to come off of her head.
Interesting… He thought as he continued to pull it off. The more he did, the more everyone heard a soft pained scream turning into a full blown loud shriek as Silver tore the Metal Cap off of Pyrrha, then he telekinetically crushed it until nothing remained.

At that moment, the army of metal Pyrrhas melted into puddles, as even the wall of iron melted away as well. Pyrrha had fallen on her back as Jaune immediately went over and held her close.
"Nnnngh…" Pyrrha groaned.
"Pyrrha…? Pyrrha, please…"
Two weeks ago…
Pyrrha walked out of the McGarden Library with a hum. "I think I'll buy some strawberry shortcake for Erza and I." She said as she walked past an alleyway with a hum.
Suddenly, two hands grabbed a hold of Pyrrha from behind, holding a cloth filled with chloroform to her mouth. "Mmmph?! Mmmph! …Mmmmph…"
Eggman smirked, holding Pyrrha in his arms. "Your magnetism will be a great cause to my invasion." He said, dragging her into the alleyway.
Pyrrha found herself awakened in a lab. "Huh?! What… where am I?!" She asked as she saw the Metal Cap lowering down on her. Her eyes widened in horror as she tried to flee, but found herself unable to move as she had restraints on her as the Metal Cap was placed on her head, turning her into Metal Pyrrha.
Eggman smirked. "Perfect."
"...Her eyeless figure creeps me out." Orbot said.
"You're right, it is frightening. Allow me to fix that up real quick. This should probably take an hour or so."
Back in the present…
Pyrrha immediately started crying as she hugged Jaune. "He took me two weeks ago when I left the McGarden Library to get shortcake for me and Erza… he kidnapped me and he put me under a Metal Cap…"
