Jotaro or Jojo teaches Biology on Thursday mornings. However, the BBs stood before the class and bowed by apologizing for yesterday. Jojo's appearance is different, yet his personality seems familiar. During lunch, Shiryu finds Koko and apologizes to him too. Then, in the afternoons, Touya teaches Physics. His looks are different, too, but Hyoga sobs, rushing out of the classroom. He goes to the teacher's office after school, where Touya gives him handouts, and Jojo shows up. At the dorm, Hyoga meets with Shiryu in the latter's room to talk about the teachers, and given how better they feel, they want to continue every week.
The weather for today is sunny and cloudy.
[May 17, Thursday - week 3]
With their uniforms on, the BBs gather downstairs to eat breakfast. Shun greets and asks, "Good morning. How are you two feeling?"
"Morning. I'm okay, thanks," Seiya says.
"Same here," Hyoga adds.
"That's good." Shun smiles.
"Shun and I talked yesterday about apologizing to the class. Thus, we must do so once we arrive and before class starts," Shiryu says.
"Yeah, we should," Hyoga agrees.
"I'm going to bet the new teachers will be another Gold Saint look alikes. But we must apologize. Otherwise, I can't sleep at night," Seiya says.
"Looks like we're set."
Once the boys nod, they head to their classroom. They open the door and see that the class has already started with another new teacher present. However, his appearance is different from the Gold Saint look-alikes thus far. He's tall, muscular, and wears no eyeglasses. His face is harsh and realistic, with normal dark navy hair and black beady eyes. He's wearing a blazer with a skin-tight shirt and dark shiny slacks. He directs his attention to the BBs standing at the door.
"Can I help you?" the new teacher asks.
"Are you a teacher?" Seiya asks, too.
"Yes, I am," the teacher says in his baritone voice.
"I see. It's just that we're in this class and we want to say something before you go on with the lecture." Seiya fidgets a sweat.
"Okay, I'll let you."
"Thank you," Shiryu says, bowing.
They enter the class and line up.
"Good morning. Sorry to interrupt but we must apologize," Seiya says.
"Our behavior yesterday was undesirable and we apologize for the shock and inconvenience we caused," Hyoga says.
"Therefore, we must apologize for our sudden act," Shun says.
"And we promise that said behavior shall never be repeated," Shiryu says.
"Thank you for your understanding," they say together and bow.
The whole class stares in silence, including the new teacher.
"I don't know what happened but looks like you made amends so that's good. From the looks of the class, they seem to accept. So go to your seats for I must introduce myself again."
The BBs head to their seats while students gaze at them, mouths agape.
"Alright, class. Once again, I'll take it from the top. My name is Jotaro and I'll be your Biology teacher every Thursday morning. Here's the handout."
As Jotaro goes over the handout, he glances at Hyoga repeatedly. Hyoga takes note of this. "Why is he staring at me? Does he know me?"
Class ends, and the BBs stay to eat lunch. Jotaro approaches them.
"Hello there! That was some good speech," Jotaro says.
"Thanks?" Seiya says, confused.
"Looks like the four of you are very close. Almost like brothers."
"Do you need something from us?" Shiryu asks.
"No. I just want to talk."
"Can we ask you a question?" Shun asks.
"Is it about the class? Sure!"
"No, this is different." Seiya then whispers, "Is your zodiac sign..." He watches, making sure no one else is present. "...a Scorpio?"
Jotaro gasps. "How do you know?"
"We... guessed," Shiryu says.
"I see. Well, I 'll be going. I must prepare for the next classroom."
Jotaro leaves without glancing off Hyoga, to whom his friends take note.
"Why was he glancing at you?" Seiya asks.
"Do you know him?" Shun asks.
"Of course I don't," Hyoga says.
"I'm sure he has his reasons," Shiryu says.
Silence looms.
"But man, no hint whatsoever," Seiya says.
"We have no idea if he's based on a Gold Saint, but I can't deny feeling the possibility he could be," Shun says. "Maybe time will tell."
"We'll be seeing more of him. No need to fuss," Shiryu adds.
Once students settle after lunch, another new teacher enters the class. This time, another teacher with an unfamiliar appearance steps in. However, his looks resemble Jotaro. The difference here is that he's a redhead who wears glasses. He's wearing a long trench coat, making him appear more of an officer than a schoolteacher. He arrives at the teacher's desk and makes his introductory speech.
"Good afternoon. My name is Touya, and I'll be your Physics teacher on Thursday afternoons. As you can see, I'll be teaching science. I'll be handing out the syllabus with the topics and... hm?"
Touya notices a distressed Hyoga, as his friends observe, too.
"Hyoga, are you okay?" Shun asks.
"I'm sorry. I suddenly feel lightheaded." He hastily stands up and bursts out of the classroom, to everyone's shocked sight. Shun inspects teardrops on Hyoga's desk upon closer look.
"Shun, what's wrong?" Seiya asks. He and Shiryu stand and observe the same thing Shun does. "What the...? Are those teardrops?"
"Is something wrong with him?" Touya asks.
"Not in a physical sense," Shiryu says.
"It's as if he ran out at the sight of you," Seiya adds.
"Is that so? I better see him."
"He probably ran to the corner, so he shouldn't be too far," Shun says.
"Alright, class, I'll be right back. Please bear with me." Touya exits the classroom and finds Hyoga sitting on the floor with his head lowered between his knees. "I found you. Are you alright?"
Hyoga lifts his head and wipes the remaining tears away.
"Yes, I'm fine. I got triggered. That is all."
"How exactly?" Touya asks.
"Something about you triggered a certain memory."
"Something about me triggered your memory of someone you knew?"
"Yes..." He nods.
"I understand. You don't have to return. Come to the teacher's office after school. The office is on the first floor, by the way. I'll be waiting for you."
"Thanks..." Once again, he lowers his head.
He sighs as Touya walks away.
"He's nothing like Camus, but his voice..."
Afternoon class ends, and the rest of the BBs rush to where Hyoga is. They see their friend remain on the floor, sitting with knees up and his head lowered between his knees. They kneel to match him.
"We're here to see you. How are you feeling?" Shun asks.
"I feel a little better, thanks." Hyoga lifts his head and sees his friends present. "What are you doing here? The class has ended?"
"Yes, school is finished for today," Shiryu says.
"Did the teacher say anything when he rushed to you?" Seiya asks.
"He simply said go to the teacher's office."
"Do you know where it is? Want us to accompany you?"
"That's okay. I can go there myself."
"Your bag is still in the classroom. We left it untouched," Shun says.
"I wonder why you overreacted. He's not based on any Gold Saint we know. His looks are exactly like Jotaro's from this morning," Seiya says.
"It's in his voice. It's very much like Camus."
"You mean Gold Saint Aquarius Camus? We never heard him speak, so we have no idea what his voice sounded like. Your reaction makes sense."
Hyoga stands up. "I have to go."
"Alright, we'll attend clubs," Seiya says.
"Good luck in there," Shiryu says.
"See you at the dorm," Shun says.
After grabbing his bag, Hyoga heads to the teacher's office. He sees Touya already sitting and waiting for his arrival.
"There you are!" Touya greets. "I've been waiting."
"I'm sorry for my overreaction."
"Don't be. I've seen worse."
"Really? How come?"
"I was a university professor, so I've seen a lot of odd or strange behavior. Teaching high school is a first for me."
"Uni..versity?"
"Yeah, higher education. Students go there after high school. By the way, what's your name. I haven't got your name yet."
"It's Hyoga."
"That name's Japanese... Then again, I'm not surprised. I've seen a lot of half-foreign students with Japanese names as a professor." Touya continues. "Well, in case you forgot, I'll be teaching Physics every Thursday afternoon. As you can guess, I have a scientific background. I've earned PhDs here and overseas."
"Sounds interesting!"
"Sure is! Here's the handout with the topics."
Touya hands the paper to Hyoga, who puts it in his bag.
"There is no classwork or homework so you're free to leave."
Before that happens, Jotaro enters the office.
"Hey, Touya! What's up? Let's go drinking!
"Jojo, I'm with a student here."
"Oh!" Jojo notices Hyoga. "Is he in trouble?"
"No, he missed class and I called him here."
"Jojo? I thought his name is Jotaro," Hyoga says.
"Jojo is my nickname, but you can call me that if you wish."
"Um, you two seem to be close friends," Hyoga comments.
"Yes, we are. For a long time," Touya clarifies.
"Since childhood?" Hyoga asks.
"Not exactly."
"I see. Well, I'll be leaving then." Hyoga fidgets.
"Thank you for coming. See you next week." Touya waves goodbye.
"Same here. Your name's Hyoga, right? Take care!" Jojo does the same.
He exits the teacher's office with a blush and covers his face. "Why do I get they're based on Milo and Camus? They look nothing like them."
Later that night, after dinner, Hyoga knocks on Shiryu's room.
"Coming..." Shiryu says behind the door. "Who is it?"
"It's me."
Shiryu opens the door. "Ah! Do you need something?"
"Not in particular. I want to know if you're available."
"What for?"
"To talk."
"Is that so? Alright, come in."
Hyoga enters and observes Shiryu's room filled with Chinese goods.
"This is what your room looks like. You sure went all out decorating."
"Chinatown is a goldmine. Everything is cheap."
"It must be. You came back with all those bags."
"What about you? Have you decorated?"
"Not yet, though I'm not too keen on decorating."
"I get what you mean. Because of the training, right?"
"Uh, yeah!" Hyoga sighs. "Is it okay if I sit on your bed? It's just more comfortable than the chair."
"I don't mind. I only use the chair for homework."
"Haha! Same here."
Both sit on the bed, shoulder to shoulder, against a wall.
"What's that smell?" Hyoga asks.
"It's incense."
"You mean those candle looking things?"
"They're called incense sticks. We use them for decoration."
"So you did the same when you trained..."
"Yeah, we kept those around."
They sigh after a brief silence, accommodating.
"Tomorrow, we'll have Haruka-san," Shiryu says.
"This has been a rough week," Hyoga says.
"We knew we'd overreact but I never expected to be literal."
"We couldn't help ourselves..."
"The other day, when we met Kotaro, later that night, I had a breakdown. My head kept spinning wheels. I know he's not my master, but my brain tells me otherwise. It was too much for me."
"Do you think it's a coincidence those new teachers are brought in? Think about it. The teachers we started with quit. Then we got crappy ones like Nadeshin, and now we got those after midterms. It's as if they're brought in for us, especially after Mitsuru-san said about personally hiring them."
"I don't know, but it feels far too convenient."
"But I guess it is what is. We can't ignore them, so we must get used to these new teachers since we'll be here for three years."
"Avoiding them would make our situation complicated."
"I agree. There's no going around this."
After sighing, they changed the topic.
"I heard you went to Seiya's room the other night."
"Yeah, because he wanted me to read those magazines."
"I can't believe you two look into those awful things."
"I don't see why we shouldn't. It's not harming anyone."
"We're Saints. We're devoted to protecting Athena."
"Yeah, but we're guys. We're not that different."
"Also, I heard you'll be meeting every week. Is that true?"
"Yeah, every Saturday night in his room."
"I never expected this from you."
"What? You expected me to be like you."
"I suppose I can have someone to talk to every now and then."
"What about this? I meet in your room every week. Same day, same time."
"A weekly meeting just for the two of us? I don't mind."
Shiryu holds Hyoga as the latter rests his head on Shiryu's chest, and they clasp hands. The former gently strokes his hair. They remain like this until Hyoga retreats to his room.
To be continued...
For the record, Jojo and Touya are based on Ryo and Makimura from City Hunter.
