With the start of fall. Brought September. A new school year.

The children of all ages in Tree Hill were starting school.

Including Salem Scott. Done with preschool. 5 now. She was beginning kindergarten.

Lucas insisted Brooke sleep over given the hour they went to bed.

Brooke smiled happily as she awoke.

Lucas ran his hands through her hair.

(Waking up with you in my arms. Nothing has felt this right in a long time.) Lucas proclaimed.

(I feel the same way. I've missed you. We got engaged last night.) Brooke said matter of fact.

(My mom will be happy for us. I know Keith would be too.)

(I thought we were over and that life just wouldn't allow us another chance.)

(I'm relieved to be wrong. I've missed you too.) Lucas said. Kissing her gently.

Brooke kissed him back. (I want to tell Salem. Start planning. I want to be you're wife as fast as possible.) Brooke stated matter of fact.

Lucas smiled up at her. (What's the rush?) Lucas asked.

(Celebrating our love with the world. Honeymoon.)

(I love Salem more than life itself. But I want to experience being pregnant and proud with the man I'm in love with.) Brooke explained.

(I want you to have whatever you want. Starting with the wedding of you're dreams.) Lucas replied.

(I have more money than I will ever need. If I can't indulge for our wedding and honeymoon what is the point?) Brooke asked.

(I'll show up. By you're side. I am counting down the days to be you're husband.) Lucas proclaimed.

Salem poured syrup on her French toast. As she took a sip of her chocolates milk.

(What's the surprise?) Salem asked. Looking to her parents.

(Momma and I are getting married.) Lucas announced.

Brooke showed off her ring.

(That means we are going to have a ceremony. To celebrate how much we love each other. Then the three of us are going to move in together.) Brooke explained.

(I'm going to move in here. There's plenty of room.) Lucas added in.

Salem got up from the table and hugged her parents tightly.

(We're going to be a family forever. I get to be a flower girl. And momma gets to wear a white dress and look really pretty. I'm so excited. When is the wedding?) Lucas and Brooke smiled at each other .

(We have to plan it first.) Lucas replied.
