"Out of my way!" Juggernaut pushed the people in the crowd away as he made his way to the portal. "I'm gonna show that stupid ghost not to mess with the Juggernaut!"
Xavier shook his head at Cain's arrogance. His brother knew what Danny was capable of, but he still thought he could defeat his darker counterpart.
"He's dead." Wolverine said bluntly.
The crowd watched on the screen as Juggernaut walked into the arena to confront Dan Phantom.
"I'm gonna rip you in two, you little punk." Juggernaut vowed.
"Go ahead." Dan responded with an evil grin. "Show me what you're capable of."
With a scream, Juggernaut charged at Dan, his fist raised, ready to pummel him into oblivion, only for him to scream in pain when it broke upon contact with Dan's chest.
"Told you." Wolverine said to Xavier.
Dan smirked at the Juggernaut. "My turn." He picked up Cain and broke his back over his knee as Xavier's brother let out a scream of pure agony.
"Cain!" Xavier cried in worry, still caring for his brother despite how much of a bastard Cain could be.
"He broke the Juggernaut." Banshee said in awe.
In his dimension, Mojo was cheering for Dan's victory. "This guy is gonna make it big. We're gonna make a fortune off the merchandise." He held up an action figure of Dan Phantom as he inspected it.
Back at the Colosseum, Juggernaut was dropped unceremoniously by Dan. "Come on, Cain." Dan taunted. "No need to scream. Sure, you may be paralyzed, but I'm sure your brother can offer you a spare wheelchair." Dan then threw the giant man through the portal.
On the other side of the portal, the fighters moved out of the way as Cain came flying out, where he ended up colliding with a group of reporters.
"My fucking pelvis!" Lance Thunder cried.
"Next." Spiral said to the competitors.
Bruce Banner and She-Hulk shared a concerned glance before they marched through the portal.
Dan raised an eyebrow at Bruce before punching him in the gut.
"Did that make you angry enough?" Dan asked before Bruce transformed into the Incredible Hulk.
"That's more like it." Dan said in approval before he moved out of the way of Hulk's fists as he and She-Hulk tried to take him down.
"You know, you're kinda cute in an evil way." She-Hulk said as she aimed a kick at Dan, who caught her leg and swung her into Hulk.
"Looks can be dangerous." Dan replied as his fists glowed with energy.
Danny tossed and turned in his sleep.
In his dreams, he found himself in a white void.
"Is anyone here?" He asked as his voice echoed through the dimension. "I guess not. I'm alone here."
"Not quite." A wise voice said.
The half-ghost turned around and was greeted by the sight of Clockwork, who gave him a warm smile.
"Clockwork, what are you doing here?" Danny asked. "What is this place anyway?"
"We are in your mind, Daniel." Clockwork said as he gestured around the empty space.
"Gee." Danny said in a despondent voice at seeing the blank space that was supposed to be his mind. "I guess Lancer was right about me being an idiot."
Clockwork chuckled. "You're far from an idiot, Danny. You may not be as intelligent as your friend Hank McCoy, but you are smart in so many different ways." He tapped the hybrid's chest with his staff.
"So what happened?" Danny asked. "All I remember was fighting Dan when I was hit by something and I passed out."
"You were hit by an energy blast generated by an element known as Ecto-Ranium." Clockwork answered.
"Ecto-Ranium?" Danny repeated.
The master of time nodded. "It's an element that is of extraterrestrial origin. While you were fighting Dan, your friends were fighting off the Guys in White when Magneto used their Ecto-Ranium to attack you and Dan."
"So I'm in a coma because of Magneto? Great." Danny said sarcastically before something else came to mind. "What about Dan? Is he gone?"
"No." Clockwork replied, making Danny look down in disappointment. "He is still active."
"Clockwork, why does he still exist?" Danny wanted to know this, as that question had been driving him mad for so long. "If I changed the future, how come he wasn't erased? Or am I just destined to become him?"
Danny looked down before seeing Clockwork put a hand on his shoulder.
"The reason he is still there is because he exists outside of time." Clockwork explains. "That medallion is what enables him to do it. And now he knows it as well, and he won't hold back the next time you meet."
Danny sighed. "Well, that's just perfect. Now I don't have an advantage against him. How am I supposed to stop him?"
"Perhaps you'll find the answer here if you look hard enough." Clockwork advised him as he vanished, leaving Danny alone.
"Pitiful." Dan said as he stood above the two hulks. He summoned several duplicates, who started to swarm the two as they were no match for their combined strength.
Hulk roared before a duplicate broke his nose. Another grabbed him and headbutted him with She-Hulk before the duplicates all unleashed their ghost rays at the two, finally taking them down.
The copies all merged into one as Dan looked over the beaten Hulks before sending them back through the portal. Luckily for Bruce and Jennifer, there were paramedics on standby as they tended to the superheroes.
"He beat the Hulk too." The Thing said in shock. He turned to Reed. "You sure your fancy gizmo can put him down for good?"
"We can only hope." Reed said.
Soon, challenger after challenger came for Dan, only to be beaten and horribly injured by the evil ghost as he took glee in destroying their hopes of saving their world.
Currently, Dan was fighting against Fright Knight.
"I never thought I'd see you grow a backbone, Fright Knight." Dan said as he remembered how the ghost worked for him back in his timeline.
"You know nothing about me?" Fright Knight said as he shot out blasts from his eyes that Dan blocked with a shield.
"I know enough to see that you're a fool for thinking it's the wise choice to follow the path of the hero. Eventually, like everyone else, you'll fall, and no one will be there to catch you when you do or care." Dan swiped the sword before stabbing his old servant in the chest as he fell to the ground.
Fright Knight saw himself starting to fade away as he realized he had been beaten, yet instead of feeling anger for wasting his life on heroism, he was still concerned about the protection of the innocent. No matter what Dan did or said, he would never stray from who he was. Never again.
"Evil can only go so far before it's put in its place." Fright Knight said before he finally faded away.
"I never thought I would see a ghost die." Jubilee said as everyone watched what had happened to the Fright Knight.
"Yes, it's very disconcerting." Beast added.
Freakshow was horrified, as he was next. "On second thought, I have a prior engagement." He tried to fly away before he was blasted by Spiral and found himself in front of Dan.
Dan smiled in glee at seeing another of his old foes in front of him. "Hello, Freakshow."
"No!" Freakshow cried in fear as he was grabbed by Dan, who ripped his arms off. Next came his upper jaw, which disgusted the fighters and made the audience in the colosseum roar in applause at the violence.
"I guess Dan isn't forgiving about Freakshow controlling him back when he lived in Amity Park." Beast observed as Dan continued to rip the ghost apart before pulling out his core and crushing it, ending the deranged ringmaster once and for all.
The tournament then continued as heroes and villains tried to put a stop to Dan but failed.
The villains were outmatched in the cruelty department.
"Now!" Doc Ock cried as his Insidious Six tried to tackle Dan from all different directions. The dark phantom merely teleported out of the area, making them run into each other.
Dan grabbed Rhino and impaled Vulture on the other villain's horn before aiming a karate chop at the Chameleon's head, decapitating him. He blasted through Mysterio's illusions, leaving a gaping hole in the villain's chest. Rhino then felt Dan grab his head and turn it all the way around, snapping his neck. Scorpion was strangled to death by his own stinger.
Doc Ock couldn't have calculated Dan butchering his Insidious Six in six seconds. Snarling with rage, he grabbed Dan with his tentacles, but Dan let out a pulse of electricity that electrocuted the doctor to death.
Dan then saw that Shocker was running away. "Get back here, Shocker." Dan mocked.
"No, please!" Shocker pleaded as he ran for his life. This was more terrifying than the time he encountered Spider-Man in that black suit.
"You can't escape me." Dan said matter-of-factly as he flew down and caught him by the throat. "I'll chase you to the ends of the Earth." He pressed his fingers into Shocker's eyeballs, making them explode.
"You will obey me!" Emma Frost ordered as she and the Inner Circle entered the arena. "And then I might allow you to warm my bed."
Dan started laughing, making the Inner Circle uneasy.
"That's really rich." Dan said. "As if I would fornicate with a creature as vile as you."
Offended by Dan's insult, Emma tried to enter his mind but was blocked out, shocking her with his impressive mental shields.
"How?" She asked, making Dan smirk.
"Somethings like me are beyond you." Dan said before he noticed her attire. "You might want to cover up; it might get chilly." He froze her as she broke into several pieces of ice.
Emma Frost was just that. Frost.
Dan then let loose lasers from his eyes that fried the rest of the Inner Circle.
On and on, people entered the ring only to be thrown out painfully or killed by Dan in a horrible, brutal way.
The heroes were no match for his sheer strength.
"It's over, Dan." Reed declared as he fired his molecular gun at Dan, who groaned in pain.
"Guess you ain't as hot as everyone thought." Johnny quipped.
Dan merely chuckled. "Or you're just burned out." He blasted Johnny with lasers from his eyes before summoning Reed's gun into his hand and crushing it.
The Thing charged at Dan.
"It's clobbering time." Dan said as he punched him so hard that he fell into the audience. Reed tried to help his friend before being grabbed in a telekinetic hold by Dan.
Snorting at how easily he beat them, he turned to the last member of the Fantastic Four he hadn't beaten yet, Susan. But she had turned invisible.
"Nice trick, but there's a way around that." Dan then let loose a blast of ice from his body that froze the entire ring, including the audience in the seats.
Looking around, Dan spotted Susan to his right, frozen as she was about to attack him.
Dan then saw that the other three were frozen as well.
"No need to fear; they're here." Dan taunted. "Just call the four. Fantastic Four."
Seeing the damage, Mojo pressed a button on his monitor.
"Somebody get some electrical blankets and hot water bottles." Mojo said.
"Man, he is tough." Hawkeye said in regards to Dan.
"You're telling us!" The Thing cried as the Fantastic Four were shivering as they had blankets on him.
Currently, Force Works were fighting Dan, who immediately let out an electrical magnetic pulse that short-circuited Iron Man and War Machine's suits, effectively taking them out of the battle.
Dan then grabbed Parallax from Century and broke it in half before blasting him, sending him into Spider-Woman. With a wave of his hand, Force Works was knocked back through the portal.
"Professor, are you sure that we can stop Dan?" Jubilee asked Xavier as they were watching Dan beat the Silver Surfer with his own board.
Xavier sighed. "I don't know Jubilee. But we can't stand back and let this monster destroy everything we care about."
Jubilee nodded despondently as the tournament continued.
"Your soul is mangled!" Ghost Rider cried as he tried to use his Penance Stare on Dan, but it did nothing to him.
"You will pay for the innocents you have slaughtered!" The rider vowed.
"There are no innocents in this world. I thought you, of all people, would see that." Dan then ripped the Ghost Rider apart as his flames died out, leaving him gone with no trace that he had been there.
Gambit shivered; he remembered running into the Ghost Rider. He thought that was the scariest thing he would ever meet. That was until he encountered Dan, who had now gotten rid of the Ghost Rider permanently.
Blade, Doctor Strange, Captain Britain, Psylocke, and Black Panther were all outmatched when they fought Dan individually, and so was Punisher, who experienced a grueling fate.
"You brought firearms to kill a ghost?" Dan said, his tone indicating how idiotic he thought the idea was. He had his foot on Punisher's chest. "No wonder your family's dead if a simpleton like you is their protector." Dan summoned one of the vigilante's firearms and aimed it at his head, blowing his head apart.
Although it was nothing compared to what happened to Daredevil. Dan unleashed his Ghostly Wail at full power, making the vigilante both deaf and blind.
The massive number of fighters dwindled as Dan managed to beat whoever came next. The latest loser had walked through the portal, limping pretty badly.
"Yuriko!" Wolverine went up to her. "What did that bastard do to you?"
"He was too strong." Yuriko said before she fell into his arms, making Logan take her over to the medics who were tending to everyone that was injured. Among them were Maverick and Silver Fox, who had already gone toe-to-toe with Dan and lost.
Wolverine looked around at the injured losers. The latest batch being tended to was Alpha Flight. They were all critically injured except for Northstar, who was dead. His resemblance to Danny earned him special treatment from Dan.
There was also Doctor Doom, who was among the deceased. Dan had beaten him, ripped off his mask to make sure he wasn't a Doombot, and proceeded to stomp on Doom's skull.
"I'm gonna make that bastard pay!" Wolverine promised.
"He will, Logan." Xavier said as he watched the next round begin. The team that was going up against Dan was Amelia, her fellow acolytes, Banshee, and Proteus. "He will be stopped."
As they appeared in the arena, Proteus let out a cry of hatred as he charged at Dan, who smirked as he recognized him.
"Kevin, long time no see." Dan greeted mockingly as he teleported out of the reality warper's way. He appeared behind him. "Come to visit your dear old dad?"
Proteus screamed as all of reality around the colosseum started to shift around, and the audience and the acolytes screamed as their molecular structure was shifted around.
Dan merely stood, unaffected by Proteus' power. "Pathetic." Dan summoned a great ecto-blast in his hand and fired it at Proteus' abdomen, making the young boy scream as he returned to his normal form, with reality turning back to normal.
Kevin looked up in fear as Dan stood over him.
"It ends here, kid." Dan was about to fire when he was hit by Banshee's scream.
"Get away from him!" Banshee shouted. He turned to Kevin. "Kevin, run!"
Kevin obeyed as he tried to run, but Dan threw an ecto-blast at the kid, knocking him out.
Dan chuckled. "Nice attack. But let me show you how a pro does it." Dan unleashed his Ghostly Wail, sending Banshee flying back as he and the others were bombarded by the strength of the attack.
It then stopped as Amelia and her team got up and prepared to fight Dan.
Marco grew in size but was punched by Dan, sending him up high in the air, where he fell down, making an imprint on his body on the floor. Dan then grabbed Chrome and electrocuted the mutant until he passed out.
Johanna tried to fight Dan hand-to-hand with her enhanced strength and durability, only for Dan to grab her arm and break it as she screamed with the bone sticking out. Byron sent out a stream of fire at Dan, who was unaffected as he grabbed Byron by his long hair and threw him at Carmela before he noticed Amelia about to attack him. He blasted her, but she turned into a vapor to escape before Dan caught her in a bubble made of ectoplasm.
"You can't stay like that forever." Dan taunted her before he grabbed Carmela and phased his hand through her body, pulling out her heart.
"Carmela!" Amelia cried as she turned back to her regular form, allowing the bubble to electrocute her.
"Amelia!" Xavier yelled in fear of his former love.
The group was thrown back to the other side, where paramedics swarmed them. Xavier went up to Amelia as she was being placed on a stretcher.
"Amelia." Xavier whispered.
"Stop him." Amelia said to him. "Stop him before he kills us all." She then passed out and was rolled away.
Wolverine shook his head as he looked over at Kevin, who was concerned for Banshee's health. "Not even Proteus can stop him."
The tournament was in its final five rounds. The next team that was up was the Avengers, who all gave themselves serious glances as they all walked through the portal and greeted Dan.
Immediately, Hawkeye sent out some arrows, while Ant-Man grew in size. Dan phased through the arrows and fired a ghost ray at Hawkeye, blowing off his arm.
"AHH!" He screamed in pain as they all looked at him with concern. Scarlet Witch fired a Hex Bolt at Dan, who smacked it away as he prepared to fight the Avengers.
"Have at thee, villain!" Thor fired lightning out of his hammer at Dan, who swerved out of the way and kneed him in the gut before flying him up into the air and elbowing him in the head as the god of thunder was knocked to the floor. Dan then charged at him, smashing the pavement into several pieces as the other Avengers were pushed back.
Dan kept on punching Thor as Cap threw his shield at Dan, who sent an ecto-blast at it, destroying it. Seeing Vision coming up behind him, Dan teleported behind the robot and ripped him apart into several pieces.
"Vision!" Scarlet Witch's eyes glowed with anger before a ghost ray pushed her into Falcon. Dan then grabbed Wonder Man's head and ripped it off his body as blood splashed on the heroes.
"Oh my god!" Tigra screamed at the massive amount of blood before Dan threw an ecto-disc at her waist, severing her in half.
The Wasp was buzzing around Dan, making him shoot a ghost ray from his finger at her, disintegrating her. He then moved out of the way of Ant-Man's giant fist. He let loose his Ghostly Wail, making Ant-Man fall on a section of the audience where Scarlet Witch and Falcon were, crushing them all to death.
Everyone was watching in disbelief at the carnage that was taking place.
"Are you happy with what you've done, Magnus?" Xavier asked his old friend. "Thanks to you, the only person capable of stopping Dan is out of our reach."
Magneto wasn't listening as he watched with horrified eyes as Dan butchered the Avengers.
Back at the colosseum, Dan let out a massive blast from his hands at Thor, finally putting an end to the god. Ant-Man then got up and was about to grab Dan when he fired an ecto-blast at his giant head, flooding the arena with his blood, which killed Captain America when it fell on him as the audience screamed.
Mojo pressed his button on the console. "The arena's dirty; let's eighty-six the arena."
Everyone was in complete silence when they saw that the Avengers were all dead. No one could believe it. If the Avengers could stop Dan, then who could? Was this the end of their world?
Quicksilver was in rage at seeing his sister dead, with Magneto falling to his knees in despair at seeing his child's death. A child that he never knew, whose mother he had taken away from her. Now she is forever gone.
"I'm sorry, Magnus." Xavier said in sympathy.
"I'LL MAKE HIM PAY!" Quicksilver vowed, as he and his team were next to face Dan. He ran with his superspeed into the portal, where Dan stood in a new arena that Mojo had on standby as he tried to lay a punch on the dark phantom, who teleported out of the way.
"Is that as fast as you can go?" Dan taunted him. "What a joke."
The speedster kept trying to land a hit on Dan as the rest of X-Factor walked in.
"Your speed means nothing if it's death that you're running from." Dan stated as he appeared next to Quicksilver and kicked him in the legs, causing him to crash into his team.
"Let's fry this jerk!" Havok said as he got up and fired his beams at Dan, who was unaffected and sent back a ghost ray at Havok. Strong Guy tried to tackle Dan, who went intangible as he fell through the ghost, was grabbed by the ankle, and swung back into the crowd.
Wolfsbane transformed into a wolf-like creature and charged at Dan, trying to bite him.
Dan grabbed her by the throat as he was intimidated by Wolfsbane's snarling and growling. "Looks like someone hasn't had their shots yet." He headbutted her and threw her to the ground as the rest of X-Factor prepared to fight.
Multiple summoned several copies, which made Dan roll his eyes as he summoned even more, and together they put an end to Multiple's copies, leaving him alone.
Dan got rid of his duplicates and aimed a kick at Multiple's head, knocking him out.
Forge pulled out a massive gun and fired it at Dan, who deflected it with a shield, sending it at Lorna.
"Lorna!" Havok cried as he fired his beams at Dan again, who absorbed the energy and threw it back at him. Strong Guy tried to tackle Dan again, but ended up falling through him and colliding with Quicksilver.
Dan sighed at how easy it was to deal with X-Factor. He saw Forge aiming a small gun at him, but Dan summoned it into his hand, crushed it, and fired an ecto-blast at him, knocking him out.
As the portal opened, he threw all the members through it, with the exception of Quicksilver.
Deciding to make Magneto pay for attempting to murder him, he snapped Quicksilver's neck, killing the poor mutant as Magneto dropped to his knees in anguish. He threw the body through the portal as Quicksilver's teammates and father mourned his death.
"Pietro, I'm sorry for never being there." Magneto told his son. "I'm sorry for everything. I should've been a better father. If it wasn't for me, we all would've grown up as a family." He shed tears as he felt rage towards Dan and personally wanted to see him in immense pain.
"It's the final three!" Mojo cried in excitement as there were only three teams left for Dan to face. "And the ratings are higher than ever. I knew this Dan character would bring in the money. And we don't have to pay him squat. Why can't actors be as selfless and generous as him? All we have to do is just film him doing whatever he loves doing." He turned to Domo. "Did you see what he did to the Avengers? I never saw so much blood. Not even in my last straight-to-TV film. Return of the Living Dead, Who Feast on Corpses That Come Out at Midnight to Steal Your Souls XII The Flesh Eater's Challenge."
The obese creature grabbed his assistant and started shaking him. "We are sitting on a gold mine. And the best part is that the next team has Longshot on it. Longshot vs. Dan. Everyone and their grandmother will tune in to see this. And I will personally see Longshot be put down as his death is used to help my career."
The next team was preparing to enter the arena. It consisted of Nightcrawler, Colossus, Archangel, Mjnari, Longshot, Iceman, Cannonball, Valerie, and Wulf.
"Be careful, Kurt." Rogue cautioned her foster brother.
"Don't worry, sister." Kurt reassured her. "Everything will be okay."
"I love you, Mjnari." Storm said to her surrogate son. "Please be careful."
"I will." Mjnari said as they all entered the portal as Dan stared them down. He noticed Valerie in particular.
"I should've known you would've come." Dan said. "I'll take great pleasure in putting you down."
"Fat chance." Valerie fired her gun at Dan, who moved out of the way. Colossus picked up a piece of the arena and threw it at Dan, who phased through it and punched Colossus into a wall.
"I'm gonna melt you down into liquid metal." Dan threatened before he was knocked away by Archangel.
"I may not have been able to take down Apocalypse, but I'll make sure you're stopped." Archangel said.
Dan appeared behind him and blasted him, sending him to the ground as Iceman came toward him on an icy slide.
"You'll pay for what you did to Lorna!" Iceman shouted, only for Dan to electrocute him. Nightcrawler teleported onto Dan as the two wrestled.
"Please, repent!" Nightcrawler pleaded. "Let go of your hate, Dan. Open your heart. It's not too late to show regret."
"I have no regrets." Dan said as he grabbed him by the throat and saw Archangel coming at him, so Dan grabbed him by the throat as well.
"Well, well." Dan said as he looked at Kurt. "The demon on my shoulder, a familiar sight." He turned to Archangel. "Though, I'm surprised the angel is still here. I thought I got rid of you when I killed Fenton."
Dan was then forced to let him go when Cannonball knocked into him.
"Someone ought to teach you some manners." Cannonball quipped as Mjnari gave Dan a superspeed punch, while Wulf got on top of Dan and prepared to claw him, but Dan caught his arms.
"Never thought I'd run into you again." Dan said to his old friend before blasting him off with his laser eyes. Valerie threw several shurikens at Dan, who used telepathy to knock them into Longshot, who screamed in pain.
"Guess your luck ran out." Dan said as he punched the former superstar.
"Yes!" Mojo cheered, seeing Longshot's pain. "That's what you get for rebelling against Mojo." He turned to Domo. "Play that again." The footage showed Longshot getting hurt. "Again." It played again. "Again." It played it again. "Again." On and on, Mojo kept rewinding that part.
Valerie unloaded all of her weapons at Dan, but they did no harm. Getting desperate, she tried to ram Dan with her glider, but Dan knocked her off it and threw it at Colossus.
"Oh." Colossus said before it knocked him through another wall.
Dan and Wulf kept fighting as Iceman covered the ground in ice, making the two ghosts slip.
"Iceman, make me a sword." Nightcrawler demanded. Iceman used his powers to make a sword and handed it to Kurt, who teleported in front of Dan, who made his own ecto-sword as the two dueled.
The others tried to get Dan while he was distracted, but he made copies to keep them busy. Dan dueled with his counterpart's brother-in-law before he managed to shatter Kurt's sword and stab his sword into Kurt's shoulder as he howled in pain.
"Kurt!" Rogue cried out at seeing her brother in pain because of Dan.
Mystique also looked worried about what was happening to her son.
"For God's sake." Kurt said.
"Do I look like somebody who cares what God thinks?" Dan asked as he ripped off Kurt's tail, making his screams even louder. Dan shook his head. "Pathetic. But what else can I expect from Azazel's son?" He muttered quietly.
With Kurt out of commission, Dan turned to the others as he made his copies disappear so he could deal with them personally. Colossus and Longshot were already knocked out, leaving only Archangel, Iceman, Cannonball, Mjnari, Valerie, and Wulf.
Mjnari tried to use his speed, but Dan tripped him, and he ended up crashing into Archangel.
Iceman attempted to freeze Dan, but Dan's fire was too much as he kept firing his ice at Dan, who lazily kept his hand raised as fire shot out. As the two elements raged against each other. Dan's cape moved on its own like a tentacle, grabbed Bobby by the ankle, and threw him aside.
Dan appeared behind Archangel and ripped off his wings, making the mutant pass out in pain. Dan bashed Bobby in the head with one of the wings, breaking it as the cryokinetic mutant fell to the ground unconscious.
Cannonball was about to tackle Dan when Dan threw the other wing at Sam, knocking him off course as he crashed into Mjnari, taking them both out.
The evil phantom smirked, as the only ones left were his two former friends.
"Don't think that just because I remember you two, I'm gonna go easy on you." Dan said to them.
Valerie proceeded to use several martial arts on Dan as Wulf tried to attack him when he was distracted.
Dan phased through Valerie's attacks before grabbing Wulf's paws and burning them, making him let out a howl of pain. Dan kicked him away as he focused all of his attention on Valerie as the two fought hand-to-hand until Dan managed to knock her out with a blow to the head.
He gathered up all the unconscious fighters and gathered them in a pile as the portal opened, but Dan wasn't going to let them leave. He aimed his hand at them, about to obliterate them, when Wulf regained consciousness and pushed Dan aside. Valerie and Mjnari also gained consciousness as they saw Dan fighting Wulf.
"Get the others out of here!" Valerie ordered Mjnari, who used his superspeed to get them all out one by one as the portal closed, trapping Wulf and Valerie with Dan.
Wulf managed to push Dan away as he opened a portal to the Ghost Zone with his claws.
"Come on!" He urged Valerie as the two tried to escape, but Valerie was grabbed by Dan when she was halfway through and pulled out as Dan sent an ecto-blast at Wulf, making the portal close and leaving Valerie with Dan.
"I've been waiting to do this for a long time." Dan said as his tail impaled her in the stomach, and she glared at him with all of her hate before the light left her eyes.
"Goodbye, Valerie." Dan threw her body into the air and disintegrated it with a ghost ray.
Storm was embracing Mjnari as Rogue was looking over Kurt, who was being tended to by medics.
"Kurt, are you okay?" She asked him.
Kurt nodded. "I will be fine. Just be careful, Rogue. I've never seen anything like him before. He was so full of hate."
Mystique was about to go to her son when Magneto placed a hand on her shoulder.
"It's our turn, Mystique." Magneto told her. "There are two teams left."
"Yours and mine." Xavier said.
"Your team will not have to compete." Magneto replied. "We will deal with this thing once and for all." He used his powers to lift the captive Sabretooth to join them as they approached the portal.
"No!" Sabretooth shouted. "I don't want to go!"
"Quit your blubbering, fool!" Magneto scolded as they all entered the portal.
Dan smirked at six before he sprang into action. He shot a spike made of ice at Pyro, impaling him into the wall. He ripped off Avalanche's arms and phased him into the ground, where he suffocated to death. He then ripped out Blob's intestines and used them to strangle him. He grabbed Mystique's jaw and forced her mouth open as he breathed fire into her mouth, ending her once and for all.
Rogue didn't know how to feel about Mystique's death, while Kurt was unaware of her demise as he had passed out from the pain of his physical injuries.
"Don't hurt me!" Sabretooth begged Dan.
"I'm not gonna hurt you." Dan promised. "I'm gonna obliterate you." He let out a massive ghost ray that destroyed Sabretooth once and for all.
"You know, I would usually be happy to see him dead, but given everything else that has happened, I can't express any joy at all." Wolverine said as he looked back at all the people who had been hurt by Dan.
Magneto couldn't believe that Dan had just annihilated his teammates so quickly.
Dan smirked at the master of magnetism as he invaded his mind.
Magneto gasped as he found himself back in the camps. Memories of suffering flooded back to him like an old friend. Looking around, he could see the soldiers overseeing the prisoners. Mutants, humans, and all other kinds of people were forced to work under the grueling conditions.
His terror was doubled as he heard a soldier shout out to them.
"Shower time!" The soldier ordered as the poor people were being herded into the compound.
"No!" Magneto was about to stop this when he felt an arm on his shoulder. Turning around, he was greeted by Dan smirking down at him.
"Beautiful, isn't it? It's what you always wanted." He told Magneto.
"I never wanted this." Magneto argued.
"No?" Dan asked. "Let's be real here. Deep down, you just wanted the world to go through the same pain and trauma that you did. You don't care about mutant rights or any of that bullshit. You just want to make people suffer. You're just like me."
"I'm nothing like you!" Magneto declared vehemently.
"You are." Dan reiterated. "More than you realize. And now, thanks to you, the only real hope of stopping me, which I doubt had a chance personally, is gone. The world is mine to do with as I please. All thanks to you. Look at yourself, Magneto. Your wife is dead because of you. Your children were killed due to your actions. You bring misery and despair wherever you go."
Magneto got to his knees and covered his ears, as he could hear the sounds of people suffering. Suffering that was caused by him.
"No!" Magneto shouted. "No! No! No!" He opened his eyes when it stopped and found himself back in the real world, with Dan looming over him.
"Kill me." Magneto begged. "You took my children away and my will to live. Just finish the job."
Dan shook his head. "No, you live with it. You'll die with the rest of this planet." He grabbed Magneto and threw him into the portal.
The master of magnetism found himself at Xavier's feet.
"I'm sorry, Charles." Magneto apologized. "I've doomed us all."
The crowd screamed as Dan appeared in front of them and shot an ecto-blast into the air, which started to build up as it floated in space.
"One team left." Dan announced. "And who is left to face me but the X-Men? Behold, world, as the beings you mocked, hated, and tossed to the side are now the only ones left who can save you. Tragic irony or poetic justice? You tell me. But then again, I'm sure some of you are so spiteful that you would rather have me destroy the world instead of being saved by a group of mutants. It's that thinking that gives me great pleasure in wiping you all from the face of the universe."
Dan then teleported back to the arena as the X-Men realized that they were next. Dan would show them no mercy.
The X-Men and Vlad gathered together, giving each other long looks. This was it. There was no going back. It was life or death.
"Vlad, I would like to thank you for all you have done for us." Xavier thanked the elder hybrid. "Danny would be proud of you."
Vlad nodded at the praise as Xavier turned to his X-Men.
"Thank you all for helping me bring my dream to a reality. I'm thankful for the chance to fight alongside you." He turned toward Morph. "Morph, it's nice to see you home. In facing your fears, you have proven yourself truly an X-Man."
Morph had tears in his eyes and a smile on his face at Xavier's words.
The professor would address all of his X-Men one by one.
"Gambit, how often must the scoundrel prove himself a hero before he believes it himself?"
Gambit couldn't help but let out a small smile at the professor's praise.
"Jubilee, you are the future. When I look at your face, I see hope. Your brother would be proud of how strong you have become over the years.
Jubilee wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Storm. My beautiful Storm, mighty as a hurricane. Gentle as a summer rain. You honor me with your friendship."
Storm gave her mentor a bright smile as she tried to hold back her emotions.
"Wolverine, loner, you have found a family. Wild savage, you have dignity. Cynic, you have found faith."
Wolverine nodded as he realized how far he had come since walking through Xavier's doors.
"Rogue, unable to touch, yet look around you. You will find you have touched us all. You have found love and a family in your new home."
Rogue looked down at the Danny Phantom logo and thought back to all that had changed since she met her husband.
"Jean, first in my heart. Your courage allowed you to see things no other human has, yet remain the same innocent child I met so very long ago."
Jean gripped Scott's hand tightly.
"Beast, the friends thou hast, and their adoption tried. Grapple them to thy soul with hooks of steel."
Beast chuckled.
"Scott, were I your father, I would tell you that no truer son could ever be."
Scott couldn't help but hug the professor as all the X-Men joined in.
"I am proud." Xavier said. "Proud of you all. I only wish Danny were here. But we can make sure that when he gets back, he'll find a world that's not in danger. A future that is bright. His family avenged, and the nightmare that has haunted him for so long finally ended."
The X-Men all had determined looks on their faces as they prepared to fight Dan.
"Usually, I would say my spirit shall remain among you, but this time I will join the battle." Xavier announced as they all prepared to head through the portal.
It was time for the final battle.
