Sven's P.O.V.

I sat down and concentrated on my job. Namely, making sure that Golem and everything else was running smoothly.

It was a bit frustrating that I had no choice but to stand on the back while everyone else got into a fight, but it is certainly the most logical way to do things. I was a summoner and, right now, a supporter with buffs to the guild.

So, I feel guilty. Very guilty right now.

"Hey!" Cana shouted as she looked behind her to see me. She had just defeated another smaller shade that Jose created. "Are you seriously having breakfast right now?"

I looked down at my pancake plate, then at the fight going on, thought for a second, then nodded my head.

"Pretty much." I said honestly.

She gritted her teeth and seemed to want to chew me over standing back like this, but this is decidedly the best course of action. If I try to join the mele it would only shorten the time that Ancient Gear Golem can stay active which would make us need to fight a furious magician probably way above our league right now.

Yeah, no thanks.

"Can I at least go help?" Lucy questions as she sits beside me, I nearly facepalm at those words. Power of friendship is strong no doubt, but why risk depending on it when there is no need?

Lucy is not Natsu, she should be able to understand logic if she at least tries, right?

"Sweet cheeks, you are the target on the other side AND you are also a summoner. Heck, we both are summoners and, right now, pretty sure Phantom Lord wants to kill me just as much as they want to capture you, perhaps more. We need to stay as far away from the front as we possibly can, at best you can help the others with your summons from a safe distance. You gotta understand how a summoner fights, got it?" I try to explain the obvious to the bombshell blond who does not seem to agree at all. Too much of a hero, I guess.

"But, we are just lazing back? We should try and do more!" She rebutted, clearly not liking the idea of standing back like this.

Why are all Fairy Tail girls so much into action first, think later? Well, at least she is not Mirajane whose spirit basically tried to rape me when I invaded her and needed me to rape her right back for several hours on end before she finally admitted defeat.

Good thing it was in the girl's spirit that this happened, I doubt my hips would have survived in real life.

"Perhaps you can do more later." I admitted to Lucy, placating her as well as admitting facts since she does have quite a high growth potential. "I heard from my own spirits how summoners like us can potentially unlock something called Astral Dress in which we can share some of the qualities of the spirits to fight. But we both lack that, and while I personally still have my ways to fight without summoning, your current spirits are not many and they lack raw fighting capacity for the most part. You can summon them to fight right now, but you yourself only have a normal wip you can use. Don't risk yourself when there is no reason to do so." I told her, trying to get through her thick skull that, right now, she cannot fight head on.

Besides, I am not wrong. If she wants to help, why not summon out her spirits and send them to fight? I am doing that, my Ancient Gear Golem is fighting off Jose while my Aromatic Jar is helping everyone recover their magic energy and heal. Not only that, I am sustaining a trap in case Jose manages to attack the guild, am buffing everyone, AND am sustaining a summoning for equipment to Erza.

Even without me going to the front, I am far from doing nothing.

If she wants to help, why not summon someone like Taurus, Virgo, or perhaps even Acquarius and let them fight? It would be better for the whole fighting effort than going to the front just like that.

… Well, I guess I can at least try and make sure nothing too bad will go down. With a thought I summon some of my millennium items. Namely, I get the Rod and Necklace ready.

The Millenium Rod should help me in case a fight breaks down close by, it is extremely practical since, even if it's main ability is mind control and manipulation, it also has other aspects like telekinesis and electricity manipulation. And it is so efficient that even someone with barely any magic energy can use it for extended periods of time and to great effect.

But the bigger prize gotta be the necklace and its ability to predict the future. With it on my neck I concentrated to make sure that everything would go right. I can see it, Natsu defeating Gajeel, Gray facing and defeating Totomaru, Elfman and Mirajane defeating Aria, Levy losing against… shit.

"Cana, you go help Levy right now." I tell the brunette who furrowed her brows at my words.

"What? I am kinda busy right now and Levy is strong enough to handle hersel-"

"She will lose because that slimy bastard will get her unawares. Levy is too used to fighting with a team to support her and she has yet to fully develop. Go there!"

"But someone gotta be here to help and-"

"The man is so mad over losing against a 'fairy' that he intends to use his mind magic to break the mind of Levy as revenge against me, almost doing so reflexively. You either go there, or I will and then we may all get fucked." I told Kana in no uncertain terms, not accepting an argument.

Damn, it was just luck that I even decided to use this thing. Seeing the future is dishorienting as fuck and what I see are the most likely scenarios with higher precision the most important an event is, how far away in time it is, and how related things are to me. The further away it is, the more imprecise and the more magic energy it uses with the item able to send me warnings when great problems and disasters are close to happening.

Kana was still apprehensive, so I decided to help her out by lending her a card.

"Use this if necessary. It should be enough to help you deal with that Sol guy. Just gotta put magic energy into the card until it activates." I explain.

Honestly, this is something that can only work if the monster won't object (in this case Machines do not object as long as the leader (me) gives the authority). Not only that, I need to give the other person permission AND the other side must use three times more energy than me to do it.

Normally useless, but Cana's magic reserves are qualified to be considered monster level as she is the type that can release multiple shots of Fairy Glitter. She can certainly use this card.

She was still torn, but in the end she accepted and went running to help.

Seeing that she started moving I continued my vision into the future and saw what was about to happen not to the others, but to me. I could only see up to a point since, depending on how things play out, the results would change considerably. The changes were so unpredictable and wildly different in results that I could not see beyond what is close to happening unless I spent a lot more energy into my vision, which would be counterproductive.

Instead, I took a breath and thought of my options. In the end I removed the Millennium Necklace and instead prepared another millennium item that I think can help me with what is about to happen.

"H-hey, should we not go to Levy if he is in danger?" Lucy questions and I roll my eye at her.

"Trust Cana to do this. They are both strong and I am sure that they can handle the twirp. Besides, we got someone coming we gotta deal with." I told the blond who did not look convinced.

Guess I am really not her favorite person right now? Maybe I should try invading her room when she is taking a shower or destroy her house… Nah, that would be too much like Natsu.

DRIP

DRIP

DRIP

Rain drops began to fall and my eye narrowed as I saw this. Rain out of nowhere like this, there is only one possible explanation as far as I know.

"Drip drop. Drip Drop. Are you the one controlling that machine?" Juvia questions as she stands before me.

Long blue hair in an honestly not great haircut (she really needs to change that one) together with a long blue coat covering her quite voluptuous body. She was truly quite a beautiful woman.

Lucy, on the side, looked up at the rain and said.

"Oh great, we are already under attack and now even rain is falling here? This is really not a good day."

Thanks for the assist, Lucy. Also, it is very easy to see when Juvia gets gloomier or more troubled since the rain falling down increased a bit just now.

"I dunno, personally I prefer rain right now. At least there is less risk of fires happening and lessen the damage." I told Lucy honestly, even if I noticed Juvia's ears perked up.

"... So, is it you that is controlling that robot?" Juvia questions again, her face cold even as I felt the rain lessen a little bit.

"That I am, beautiful. My name is Sven, a new mage from Fairy Tail, joined just a few days ago really." I said honestly and Juvia's face grew a bit red at my words.

"B-Beautiful? …No, I won't be deceived. Master Jose told me to defeat you and-"

"Deceive? I was just talking about facts though? Do the people around you not tell you how pretty you are?" I said to Juvia whose face grew even redder.

I could feel Lucy's deadpan expression on my side the more I talked.

"Are you honestly trying to flirt with the enemy right now?"

"Nope." I said, making the blond calm down. "I am not flirting with an enemy, I am flirting with the beautiful blue haired woman over there who just happens to be in another guild. The enemy here is Jose, everyone else in that guild is just following his orders. Well, except Sol, because fuck him. Seriously, trying to dig up and destroy the graves of the dead Fairy Tail members is petty and pretty pathetic." I said honestly.

Most all members of the Phantom Lord are just in the wrong guild, they are not naturally evil or bad per say, except Sol who is a true asshole so I do not care even if he gets beaten up to an inch of his life. That is what he deserves anyway, piece of shit.

Juvia seems to be getting more and more troubled, her face growing more and more red as her eyes start to swing.

Well, I guess I should act now before things grow worse. We are pretty close to a lake, after all so she could maybe use the water there to her advantage.

Even with my two millennium items on the ready, I can still hedge the bets a bit more in my favor.

"Lucy, remember to not do anything foolish while I face off against the beauty over there." I told the blond, not failing to notice that Juvia's face was growing redder by the second.

Knowing her, I don't even need to use my Millenium Eye to see what she thinks of this whole situation. How cute.

"Fine, I will do my best." Lucy says and I shoot a glare at her with my eye that she ignores as she runs away.

… I need to handle Juvia fast before I go make sure Lucy is safe, huh. Still, better focus on defeating Juvia now instead of any other worries.

This will be my first time trying this. It will cost me a lot of energy, but it is probably more relevant to defeat Juvia even if it cuts my time. I can keep Ancient Gear Golem active for a few minutes.

Since everyone else seems to be able to handle their opponents, and with the boosts I am giving, it should be no problem to do it like this.

With a card in hand I activate it.

"Field spell, Geartown, activate!"

With my words, a field spreads from me up to where Juvia is.

As the light stops expanding, I can see my surroundings changing as Geartown appears before us. And I am being quite literal as, right now, we are in the actual Geartown in the Spirit World. Field Spell cards are how I can come and go to the Spirit World, they cost a fuck ton of energy to cast though and the larger the area of effect the more energy is needed to use it.

Yes, that is the effects of Field Spells and why I would only ever use a field spell if I was sure of my safety when I arrive. I feel that the rain continues but now it no longer is just the one caused by Juvia but also the natural rain of this town.

"Now, Miss Juvia of the elemental four, what do you think of us having a little fight?"

Juvia stares at me without saying anything even as the rain keeps falling, her face blushing as she says.

"Can, can you not just give us Lucy? Do so and I will convince master Jose to back down and leave." Juvia says and I can't help but shake my head.

"Sorry, but I can't do that. She is of the same guild as me, after all. Besides, we will win anyway." I told her cheekily, making her stop.

"... You, you will risk your life for her?" Her tone grows quite a bit colder at those words.

"Yes and no. Yes, I will fight you over this, but I won't risk my life since, well, you can't defeat me." I told her honestly.

To be honest, of the S class mages of Phantom Lord I would most certainly lose to Aria, Totomaru, and Gajeel, but if it is against Sol I have a chance to win and, if it is against Juvia, I am certain of victory!

Seeing that she was ready for a fight, I spoke up.

"How about a bet then?" I propose to the rain woman. "We will fight and, if you win, I won't interfere if you try to capture Lucy. I will even unsummon Ancient Gear Golem." I told her. "But, if I win, I want you to step down too and another more important thing."

"What is it?"

"Promise me a date after all this is done. I would like to make sure you are doing fine after Phantom Lord disbands."

Juvia freezes at that and says.

"No, that won't happen. Phantom is Juvia's only home, it won't be disbanded. Juvia won't allow it."

Sven deadpanned at Juvia, though his uncovered eye held a bit of pity inside them.

"Sorry Sweetheart. But not only did several of your Guild-members attack another legal guild with no provocation, your Guildmaster literally shot a Jupiter-cannon directly at the entirety of Fairy Tail AND technically at Magnolia Town which is directly behind our guild-building. There is literally zero chance of Phantom Lord NOT getting disbanded from that."

Juvia looked for a moment like she wanted to go into denial at Svens words. But after a moment he saw her wilt slightly before her expression firmed up.

"Very well. Juvia will be fighting you now. If we win, I am sure master Jose can figure something out."

I could only shake my head at her words. Honestly, nothing short of the magic council hating us enough to overlook whatever happens if it means we disbanding would be enough to save Phantom Lord.

Natsu's being Natsu, Gray's exhibitionist tendencies, general damage whenever a fairy tail mage acts, Laxus being a dick…

"Guess it is a fight to decide which guild survives this thing." I said with a smile I did not feel all that much. Honestly, was it so hard to not be an idiot during quests?

Juvia no longer says anything, instead she launches a jet of water at me. I jump down to avoid it while using my Rod to push the jet up a bit to try and make sure it does not touch me. She seems far from over though as she makes the water jet change directions to try and get to me from another side.

This was just not enough though. With a blast of the Rod's power directly towards Juvia her face got twisted in slight pain as her control over the water was lost. The millennium rod's power over mental attacks is the strongest, if it comes to a fight I doubt there are many items with better mental focus abilities than the Rod.

Seeing that she has lost her balance due to the mental attack I proceed to run towards her, not.

"Ancient Gear knights, assemble!"

With my orders given three ancient gear knights that should have been on the distance came running. This is the Spirit World, there is literally no cost for me to 'summon' out my spirits.

Juvia stares in shock at the monsters in front of her. Well, can't blame her since all of them originally had 1800 atk power and, with the banners of courage still in effect increasing the power of all of my allies by 200 points each, all three monsters have 2200 atk points.

By comparison, this is close to the level of Gray or Natsu right now if I go by the feel of things, perhaps a bit higher to be honest. And that is the problem with facing a summoner, if we are given time we are a gigantic headache to deal with.

I watch as Juvia does her best to deal with the three knights, delivering cheap shots of electricity with the Millenium Rod and disturbing her magic whenever she tries to do something too complex.

Was this a cheap strategy, oh yes it was. Was this a bit cowardly, absolutely. Do I regret doing things this way?

Considering that last time I faced an S ranker from Phantom Lord he managed to nearly crush me with one blow, I prefer things going this way.

I continued with my way of fighting right now. No matter what Juvia tried to do I'd counter her. If she tried to lock one of the knights with her Water Lock, the others would cover while I use electricity to break the barrier. If she tried to attack me with her Water Slicer, one of the knights would cover for me. If she tried to use a water jet to get to me, I'd counter with a mental attack to dishorient her. Even her most important ability, the elementalization to make her immune to physical strikes, was negated by my second Millenium Item I am using, the Millennium Scales.

It can 'fuse' things, beings, and such easily. 'Fusing' Juvia's body into place as to not let her elementalize to avoid damage nor evade attacks. She clearly was not enjoying the experience all that much, but I was careful to only use this when it was clearly necessary.

After all, considering how she grew up without needing to worry about such attacks, she should lack the necessary awareness for this sort of attack. If I negate her elementalization at the wrong time and she gets hit, she might get seriously injured.

I would rather not do that with who I intend to make a future ally, thank you very much.

It was a slow process, but the end result was as expected. I know Juvia's attacks and skills well, am a great counter to them, and she is far from her peak right now. To be fair, so am I very far, but this is just how things are right now.

As she lay exhausted I approached her, she was still a bit injured and hurt, but nothing final.

Thinking for a bit I take the Aromatic Jar and put it in between us as I sit down.

"Juvia lost, do as you wish with Juvia." The blue haired woman said and I chuckled hearing that.

"You should think more on just what you say considering how pretty you look, rain girl. If I were any worse, I might have just taken this as an incentive to eat you up." I told her with a smirk. "Wait a bit like this, this thing here will help healing you." I told her as the aromatic jar's effects began to spread.

She looked at the jar in doubt, I guess she must be feeling the effects already. This thing was really just that effective in injuries, after all.

"This is my magic, spirit summon. I can summon out magics and monsters I make friends with from this world in this dimension."

"A-Are we in another world?" She asks in doubt and I nod my head.

"Yes, this is the spirit world. Or would it be better to call it the Spirit Dimension? Anyway, sometimes I come here to relax like right now. There are all sorts of creatures here and it is a dangerous land, but it is not so bad right?" I question her who looks around with wonder.

"I never heard of this magic before." She admits.

"Fair, I never saw anyone else with a magic like mine either. But there are all sorts of magics out there. There is a mage where I come from who specializes in negating his own sense of existence so he can use his magic like an assassin, which is pretty cool." I admit it easily. "And hey, even your own magic seems pretty cool. Comfortable really."

"W-What? You like the rain?" She asks with a hint of doubt and longing.

"Well, duh. Sure, storms are not my favorite, but rain itself is great if you ask me." I told her and was not shocked to see her eyes… yep they turned into heart shape.

Guess that works just as well, right?

AN:

Hey, proof I am still writing since I have been receiving some PMs asking me if I am still around or not. I was honestly mostly writing in other sites like QQ since I like them more, but you guys in FFnet also enjoy my fics and not everyone manages to get in QQ for whatever reason, so I decided to post some stuff here too. Check the other two fanfics I posted earlier, they are both quite nice in case you guys are wondering.
