Chapter 6: The Kidnapping of Empress Marrybell
The following morning, Sabrina left the Vermilion Forbidden City after having breakfast and telling Empress Tianzi that she was going to Japan to visit her parents and the others.
Sabrina wore a hot pink cat shirt with a blue shirt underneath with a pair of denim shorts and white socks with blue white trainers. Around her neck was the same necklace with the phoenix pendant again. Her red crimson hair was styled in its usual pigtails and had a blue cap hat reading the word 'POW' in pink.
The red haired girl looked at each area around Japan and was impressed to see how things changed for the better.
"It is nice to see how everything went better after our fight against Mr Psychopath."Sabrina thought with a hint of pride."There are no more ghettos and no one seems to be looking down at anyone. Regardless, the nationalities they are from. Everyone all treated equally. It seems having Aunt Marrybell as the 100th Empress of Britannia is giving a just and fair reign. This is how it should be."
Sabrina suddenly stopped in her tracks when she remembered something.
"Now that I think about it. I should visit Uncle Naoto's grave before doing anything."Sabrina thought as a soft smile formed on her face."It's not a problem if I do."
After buying a bouquet of flowers, Sabrina headed to the area where her uncle lost her life.
But this time, the burial area was far more peaceful to pay respect to those who lost their lives.
A melancholy smile formed on Sabrina's face as she went on her knees to place her bouquet of flowers to the grave of her uncle that she never met.
"Hey, Uncle Naoto. It's me, Sabrina."Sabrina greeted."Your niece from the future. I've come back again."
No respond.
"I'm sorry to tell you this. But back in my timeline, things went down in hell again."Sabrina retorted in a slight bitter tone."Unfortunately, there are these bad guys that are planning to wipe out the entire Britannian Imperial Family. That includes my dad, my Aunt Nunnally and myself. What's worse…they wiped out everyone in New Pendragon. Including my mother."
No respond.
Sabrina let out a sigh.
"I know it's annoying. One danger after another. It's unbelievable."Sabrina complemented."I thought we would all get a break from the bloodshed and agony of war. But this actually never ends."
No respond.
Than a confident smile grew on Sabrina's mouth.
"However, you don't need to worry, Uncle Naoto. I won't run away and hide."Sabrina assured."No matter what life throws at me, I'll keep growing stronger and closer to those around me. I won't let you down. I promise."
Sabrina then stood up and blew a kiss at her uncle's grave.
"I have to go now. See you when this is all over, Uncle Naoto."Sabrine remarked."I love you."
Sabrina left the cemetery area and made her way back in town.
As she made her way to the Stadtfeld Manor, she suddenly felt a strange yet strong feeling within her which made her confuse.
"This is weird."Sabrina thought."What is this strange feeling I'm having?"
Suddenly, the wind blew Sabrina's cap off her head causing her to go after it.
"My cap!"Sabrina gasped.
The cap went a flew blocks away and landed in the hands of a six year old boy.
It was Bertie.
Sabrina panted when she arrived next to Bertie.
"Is this your hat, miss?"Bertie asked.
"Yes, it is."Sabrina responded and took her cap from Bertie to place it back on her head."Thanks."
Bertie looked at Sabrina in awe.
"Yia."Bertie murmured.
Sabrina notice Bertie was staring at her.
"Is something wrong, kid?"Sabrina asked.
Bertie blushed and looked down in embarrassment.
"Sorry."Bertie apologised."You look like someone I know."
Sabrina chuckled and ruffled Bertie's head.
"You're a cute boy."Sabrina remarked.
Bertie's face turned more red when his stomach started grumbling.
"Aw, you must be hungry."Sabrina assumed."How about we get something to eat together? There's a crepe van nearby."
"Okay."Bertie answered with a bright smile."It sounds yummy."
Sabrina and Bertie went to eat in a crepe van that was nearby.
The two of them sat together while enjoying their crepes.
Sabrina's crepe was dark chocolate with raspberries while Bertie's crepe was with bananas and whipped cream.
"Eat up."Sabrina insisted."Having something sweet always cheers you up. That's what my Grandmother Mei said."
Bertie looked at the crepe he had in his hands before taking a bite out of it.
The moment he did, his eyes began to sparkle at its delightful taste.
"Mmm!"Bertie murmured."It's delicious!"
Sabrina smiled at Bertie's reaction.
"Yes, they are."Sabrina chuckled and looked around."Say, Bertie. Where are your parents?"
Bertie bit on his crepe as he looked at Sabrina.
"Huh?"Bertie asked.
"Where are you parents?"Sabrina asked."Are they at work or something?"
Bertie became silent for a moment at Sabrina's question.
"They're…they're in danger as everyone in the future, Sabrina vi Britannia."Bertie admitted.
A stunned look appeared on Sabrina's face at hearing Bertie address as her by her birth name.
"Wait, you know who I am?"Sabrina questioned.
"I'm from the future just like you."Bertie stated."But from four decades."
"You're from the distant future from my timeline?!"Sabrina gasped.
Bertie used his free hand to cover Sabrina's mouth to avoid gaining suspicion from the people around them.
"Shh!"Bertie whispered."Be careful what you say! The Keepers of Order might be listening?"
Bertie lowered his hand off Sabrina's mouth.
"So, that's the name of the new enemy."Sabrina commented quietly.
After finishing their crepes, Sabrina and Bertie went further to the Yoyogi Park to talk.
"So you are forty years from the future?"Sabrina asked."What's the world like there?"
"It's actually a glorious age."Bertie remarked with a small bright smile."Our Empress makes sure the world is a fairer place for everyone. Also, poetry, music and literature flourished as well. Our Empress' reign is one of the most glorious in history."
"Really?"Sabrina said in surprise."Does this Empress of yours sits in a wheelchair and have a Zero watching out for her every single day of her life?"
Bertie looked down with an unsure look on his face.
"I…um…don't actually know. I live with my parents and little sister away from the homeland."Bertie exclaimed."So, I don't know about that."
"That's okay."Sabrina assured with a smile."You're lucky to live in such a wonderful age. I've been locked for almost 15 years in a palace and had the whole world hating because of who my father was."
Bertie was quiet at Sabrina's sentence, but didn't say anything.
"But just because our past isn't a perfect beginning doesn't mean that we can let it effect our future."Sabrina remarked and got serious."But if the Keepers of the Order are trying to mess with time and space, they must be stopped."
Sabrina then got down on her knees and held Bertie by his shoulders, trying her best to stay calm.
"Please, Bertie, tell me."Sabrina insisted."Tell me anything that you can remember. What happened in the future?"
"I don't know."Bertie spoke as he remembered, tears beginning to build up in his eyes. "These people just showed up from out of nowhere..."
All Sabrina could do was stay silent as Bertie began to sob quietly.
At HiTV Studio…
A news broadcast showed on all screens, television or otherwise.
Diethard was on the screen, holding a microphone.
"Hello, people of the world. My name is Diethard Ried. Head of media for the Black Knights."Diethard remarked."I'm reporting live to tell you that our glorious Empress Marrybel mel Britannia is on her way to the Kingdom of Zilkhstan. If the meeting with Queen Shamna is successful, it could be start of a new beginning for both nations and turn a new page in history."
In Pendragon…
Odysseus, Guinevere, Carine and Laila stood together watching the news.
The royal half-siblings watched as Empress Marrybell made her way inside the Merlin with Oldrin and the rest of the Glinda Knights following her.
Guinevere frowned."So, this is officially happening."
Odysseus looked at Guinevere.
"Guinevere, you should be proud of Marrybell."Odysseus complemented."It is because of her that the world is now a better place for everyone."
"Well, I'm proud of big sister Marrybell."Laila admitted."She's an amazing ruler."
Carine simply huffed with an annoyed look on her face.
Inside a Private Jet…
Marrybell mel Britannia took a sip of her raspberry tea before placing it down on her tray.
The 100th Empress of Britannia wore a black long sleeved dress with a layered skirt. The skirt's layer had large yellow frills. Her Spanish pink hair was styled in a high ponytail with a stylish black hat that had yellow frills on them. On her feet were a pair of black high heels with little yellow gems on them.
Marrybell glanced at the window view outside which showed the pure blue sky accompanied by a bunch of white clouds.
She was thinking about the events that occurred so far during her reign.
She gave all the areas of the world back their freedom and rights that they had lost for so long.
Respected kings and queens of foreign lands as well as showing no interests in taking over their territories.
She avoided unnecessary executions, supporting discrimination activities and ending up in wars.
In others, ending the amorality that her father had set upon the world.
But still there is one thing that the Empress of Britannia was expected to do.
To marry, produce an heir, and secure her rule.
That's what her advisors wanted her to do.
A scoff escaped Marrybell's mouth.
Who on Earth should she marry?
Men would probably marry her because they're after one thing; Her Crown.
Some of her subjects and family wouldn't want her to marry a foreign king or prince.
Yet if she married a commoner, jealousy might lead to the formation of dangerous factions at court. Including causing some powerful nobles to become jealous and rebellious.
Of course, she would still need an heir.
However, loyalty to the crown mattered more than what a man believed in his heart.
"My father had 108 Imperial Consorts and all my step-mothers are Britannians of noble blood. Even my later mother. Except one was of commoner birth and sadly wasn't no different than my father was. Despite having many wives, he wasn't that much of a good husband to them since he only loved Lady Marianne or a good father to me and my siblings since he didn't care if any of us would kill each other off to be on the throne."Empress Marrybell thought with a troubled look."I certainly don't want to end up making mistakes that would have me end with people trying to stab in my sleep. So, what to do?"
Oldrin walked up to Empress Marrybell and bowed at her.
"We'll be arriving in the Kingdom of Zilkhstan within an hour, Your Highness."Oldrin informed.
"Good."Empress Marrybell answered simply.
"Something wrong?"Oldrin asked.
"Everyone is determined that I should find a spouse."Empress Marrybell commented with a frown."But marrying someone would also mean having to share my power. Though I prefer marrying for love than marrying the wrong man and enduring many years of misery."
A chuckle escaped Oldrin's mouth as she sat down on the seat on the opposite seat of where the 100th Empress of Britannia stood.
"You did so far turn down 10 suitors and all of them were self-absorbed or either absolute spoiled brats."Oldrin complemented.
"As, Empress of Britannia, many people are looking up to me like I was their role model."Empress Marrybell exclaimed as she fiddled with the cherry on her vanilla cake with her fork."But if I make the wrong choice…"
"You won't, Marrybell because I know you since childhood."Oldrin remarked."You follow your path and everyone adores you because you are not like Emperor Charles or Emperor Schneizel."
"Royal families should be bidding nations together and setting an example of idealised family life."Empress Marrybell stated."Then again, if I will look for suitor, I will pick most careful before planning to walk down the aisle."
"There you go."Oldrin complemented."You got it."
In Japan…
Zvi and Nunnally stood outside Stadtfeld Manor as Lelouch spoke to them.
"I'll be exactly here with you, Zvi."Lelouch complemented with a frown."You can go out with my sister, but there are strict rules that you'll need to follow."You will have Nunnally back at 5pm. Not a minute or a couple of seconds late. Also, during your date there will be no hand holding, no hugging or any physical contact of any kind. Got it?"
"Yes, Lelouch."Zvi responded with a determined look."And I'll make sure Nunnally has the best date ever."
"Don't push it."Lelouch scowled.
Zvi sweat dropped."Sorry."
Nunnally covered her mouth to giggle.
"Can me and Zvi go now, big brother?"Nunnally asked.
Lelouch smiled at Nunnally.
"You may go, Nunnally. Have fun."Lelouch answered and shot a cold glare at Zvi."But not too much fun."
"Okay, let's go."Zvi remarked with a nervous smile.
Zvi carefully pushed Nunnally's wheelchair before the two of them headed off to town.
Lelouch then closed the door to the manor to join Kallen and Baby Sabrina in the living room.
Kallen and Sabrina were watching TV together as Lelouch went to sit next to them.
"I already regret letting them go out."Lelouch muttered.
"Come on, Lelouch."Kallen sneered."Zvi is a nice guy and you said you wanted Nunnally to be happy."
The former Prince of Britannia gives his beloved a smile.
"Yes. I do."Lelouch responded."Nunnally deserves better after everything went through and the last thing I ever want to see is seeing her cry."
Baby Sabrina gurgled at her parents, earning their attention.
"Yes, Sabrina."Kallen remarked."Your Aunt Nunnally is going on her first date with your Uncle Zvi."
"Uncle?"Lelouch questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"That is far more appropriate for Zvi to be called that way."Kallen assumed.
Lelouch shrugged and gives Kallen a kiss on the forehead.
Marrying Kallen and the birth of Sabrina has given him a new better life than he could ever dream of which he will never stop being grateful for.
Lelouch brought his attention on the news where he saw Diethard and Milly discussing together of Empress Marrybell's visit to the Kingdom of Zilkhstan.
Baby Sabrina's unique purple eyes stared at her aunt that was on TV.
"Have you heard about what they're calling Marrybell?"Lelouch asked."They're calling her 'Marrybell the Great' because due to reforming bureaucracy, changing laws to give more freedom and rights to non-Britannians, favouring religious tolerance, and education for women."
"That's cool, Lelouch."Kallen commented.
"Marrybell previously triggered the idea to establish the Glinda Knights by the experience of losing her mother and younger sister Julia in an attack caused by V.V."Lelouch explained."She had blamed the Emperor for the deaths of her mother and Julia that lead her to draw a sword against the Emperor during a confrontation after their deaths. This could have been the cause of her exile from the royal family which is, ironically, similar to how…me and Nunnally were exiled."
Lelouch smiled more when he looked at Sabrina, who looked up at him.
"Though despite all the odds, I can never forget the little miracle that have caused us to have better beginning for all of us."Lelouch admitted with a hint of pride.
At the Kingdom of Zilkhstan…
The private jet arrived at the 'Land of Warriors', only for Empress Marrybell and the Glinda Knights to met with hot weather.
"Ugh!"Sokkia retorted as she rested inside the Sheffield Eye."Man! The outskirts of Zilkhstan are damn right hot!"
Leonhardt poured water on his head using his bottle.
"No kidding, hun."Leonhardt muttered, agreeing with his lover."I'm so going to shower once this meeting is done."
Leonhardt became alarmed when he notice enemy units appearing on the screen of his Knightmare.
Oldrin and two royal advisors came out of the vehicle that they travelled in with Empress Marrybell as they followed their ruler to the refugee camp near the border between the Land of Warriors and the former Area 18.
A hurtful look appeared on Empress Marrybell at seeing many people as well as children and their families living in tents with barley enough food or water.
All forced to flee their home because of violence and persecution.
Empress Marrybell kept a strong and calm expression, not wanting to show any emotion.
She wasn't a princess anymore.
She was the Empress of Britannia and had to make a first good impression with anyone she met.
A man came up to Empress Marrybell and bowed at her.
"And so I implore you, Empress Marrybell."the man stated gratefully.
The man handed a file to the 100th Empress of Britannia.
"I'll address the parliament on your behalf and see whether the Principality of Britannia will accept you as refugees."Empress Marrybell admitted kindly.
Empress Marrybell and the man shook hands with each other.
"Thank you."the man responded.
"However, I no longer have any authority over policy."Empress Marrybell declared."I'll try and get a response as quickly as possible. But I would really like to appreciate your patience."
Oldrin notice her phone ringing causing her to take it out and answer it.
"Yes?"Oldrin asked.
Empress Marrybell continued speaking with the refugees.
"In the meantime, we've brought you emergency supplies, food and medicine which-"Empress Marrybell started.
A shocked look appeared on Oldrin's face when she saw a couple of Knightmares coming their way.
Oldrin then spotted a leading Knightmare fly up in the sky followed by two other Knightmares unleash smoke screens.
"Bandits?!"Oldrin shouted.
Oldrin glanced at Empress Marrybell and her two royal advisors.
"Empress Marrybell, get to safety!"Oldrin demanded."Me and the Glinda Knights will handle this!"
Oldrin made her way to van that had her Knightmare, the Amanecer, inside.
The Knight of Empress Marrybell placed in her key to activate the Amanecer to aide the rest of the Glinda Knights.
"What could bandits want with our Empress?"Oldrin questioned.
"They're not bandits, Oldrin!"Tink stated.
"Look!"Leonhardt commented.
Oldrin looked at her screen and could feel that the enemy units attacking weren't just bandits.
She got a quick glimpse of a flag emblazoned on the Knightmare's right arm.
"The Zilkhstan flag!"Oldrin exclaimed, recognising the design."So, this is state-sponsored terrorism..."
An outraged look appeared on Oldrin's face.
"How dare they!"Oldrin retorted in a sour tone."The Kingdom of Zilkhstan decide to shatter the peace we've all worked so hard to gain!"
Empress Marrybell glanced at her royal advisors.
"You Highness, we must leave here!"the first advisor insisted.
"If we contact the homeland-"the second advisor started.
"Compose yourself!"Empress Marrybell demanded in a strict tone."We must secure the refugees first!"
"Yes, Your Highness!"the two advisors answered in unison.
The Amanecer, the Sheffield Eye and the rest of the Glinda Knights went off to face their foes that was an army mixed with Ghedo Vakkas, Sutherlands, Glasgows, Gun-Rus and Panzer Hummels.
Leonhardt made his Knightmare used his Jousting Lance to slash down the Sutherlands that were blasting at him.
The Sheffield Eye unleashed its ACO Harkens to smack and destroy a couple of Glasgows before moving in quick speed to attack the next foes.
Unbeknownst to her, Shalio was watching from a distance.
Shalio was in his personal Knightmare known as the Nagid Shu Mane.
The Nagid Shu Mane was a humanoid Knightmare, primarily white-ish gold with yellow gold and red accents and a blue skirt-like clothing while two circular plates protruded from its shoulders.
"The Glinda Knights are tough."Shalio sneered smugly."Just as big sister and Thanatos have predicted."
The Nagid Shu Mane then took the air to begin its attack.
The Amanecer used its wings to clear away the smoke screen that blocked its sight.
"Lady Oldrin! There's a Knightmare coming your way!"A scientist reported."But we don't have any information of it!"
Through the screen of the Amanecer, Oldrin spotted the Nagid Shu Mane.
"Hey, you!"Oldrin snapped."Are you the one behind this assault?!"
"Correct you are, Oldrin Zevon!"Shalio chuckled."It's a pleasure to meet you!"
The Amanecer attempted to attack with its sword, but the Nagid Shu Mane was quick and activated its Blaze Luminous.
The Nagid Shu Mane then attacked the Amanecer with its Slash Harkens.
Oldrin winced in the process.
"Damn!"Oldrin muttered."This Knightmare is powerful!"
The Amanecer brought outs it leg to give a swift kick at the Nagid Shu Mane, only to break the circular plate on its right shoulder a bit.
"Hmph!"Shalio scowled."Well, what's your intent here?"
"If I take out your forces will scatter!"Oldrin retorted.
"A very heroic way of thinking!"Shalio scoffed.
The Nagid Shu Mane took out its sharp sword.
"But when it comes to my sister's predictions!"Shalio remarked and a crazed smile appeared on his face."I NEVER FAIL!"
The Amanecer took out its own Blaze Luminous to block the Nagid Shu Mane's blade from hitting it.
Oldrin gritted her teeth in anger when she notice her Blaze Luminous struggling to hold the sharp blade back.
The Amanecer eventually pulled back and landed back on the desert ground, ready to take out its own sword.
Suddenly, a bunch of grabbling hooks burst out from the ground and captured the Amanecer.
"What the?!"Oldrin said in shock.
Oldrin tried to make the Amanecer move, but it wasn't able to.
The Sheffield Eye and the rest of the Glinda Knights all tried to fight back against the Zilkhstan army, but were overwhelmed and captured.
The rest of the Zilkhstan forces surrounded Empress Marrybell and her advisors before a couple of the soldiers came out of their Knightmares at them.
Then a periwinkle coloured Knightmare with dark beige viper-like designs known as the Morgana arrived and landed in front of Empress Marrybell.
The cockpit of the Morgana opened, revealing its pilot to be S.S.
"Marrybell the Great."S.S mocked while making a bow."It will be wise for you to surrender without hesitation."
Empress Marrybell glared at S.S.
But nevertheless, the 100th Empress of Britannia surrendered herself to her enemies to protect the refugees.
In Japan…
Zvi and Nunnally sat outside together near an ice cream parlour called 'Snowflake Gelato'.
Nunnally ate a white strawberry parfait which was made with vanilla ice cream then decorate with a white sour fruit and red sweet-and-sour fruit.
Zvi drank a glass of blue slush.
"Do you like your ice cream sundae, Nunnally?"Zvi asked.
Nunnally nodded and blushed when she ate a bit more of her sweet sundae.
"It's terrific."Nunnally remarked."I'm so lucky to be able to out with you, Zvi."
"You're welcome."Zvi responded.
Zvi glanced at the city view.
"It's nice to see Japan officially recovered after being invaded."Zvi responded."A huge gratitude to Zero and Prime Minister Sumeragi."
Nunnally followed Zvi's gaze and a soft smile formed on her face.
"Yes. I used to think Zero was a terrorist that was trying to bring chaos to the world."Nunnally admitted."But after learning the truth of his actions from somebody, I learned that he was doing all this to make a better world for the people he cared about."
Zvi looked at Nunnally.
"You sound very grateful to that person."Zvi suggested.
"I am, Zvi."Nunnally replied."It's because of her that my big brother and all my friends are all together."
"Oh. This person is a she."Zvi replied with a hint of relief."I thought this person was a boy you can't stop thinking about."
Nunnally laughed lightly at Zvi's respond.
"You're funny, Zvi."Nunnally responded and took a scoop from her sundae."You're the third boy that I ever went out after Lelouch and…Suzaku."
Zvi notice something bothering Nunnally.
"Sorry, if I brought back any painful memories to you, Nunnally."Zvi apologised.
Nunnally shook her head.
"Don't worry, Zvi."Nunnally assured."I'm learning from the past, so the future won't be bleak for any of us."
Nunnally continued eating her ice cream sundae.
"Say, would you like to visit the aquarium after dessert?"Zvi suggested and took out two tickets."It's called the Kyoto Aquarium. It has 9 zones featuring a giant salamander, penguins & seals, plus dolphin shows."
"I would love to go and see the aquarium."Nunnally remarked."It sounds fun."
In Pendragon…
Nonette was looking through a couple of files that showed details of the cadets process in the Imperial Academy.
"So far all students sound to be promising pilots."Nonette complemented."Nellie seem to have trained them well."
The Knight of Nine then notice her phone was ringing causing her to respond it.
"Yes?"Nonette asked and got a respond causing her to become shocked."What?"
Meanwhile…
Lelouch, Kallen and Sabrina arrived at Café Zero.
"Hey, Benio."Kallen greeted."We would like-"
"Lelouch! Kallen!"Benio panicked."It's terrible!"
"What is it?"Lelouch said in confusion.
Benio pointed at the TV with her free hand while her other hand held her serving tray.
"According to a statement issued by the UFN's Supreme Council, Marrybell mel Britannia, the 100th Empress of Britannia and the Glinda Knights were in Hashbeth to inspect a refugee camp, when contact with their envoy was lost."Diethard reported with a frown."Furthermore, the Prime Minister of Britannia, Odysseus eu Britannia-"
Lelouch became shocked upon hearing Marrybell and her Glinda Knights being kidnapped by the Kingdom of Zilkhstan.
"Marrybell…"Lelouch murmured.
Tamaki glanced at Lelouch.
"Well, what shall we do, boss?"Tamaki asked."We can't just ignore this."
Lelouch looked at Kallen and Sabrina.
"I know you said you wanted to take a break from all this, Kallen."Lelouch commented."But if-"
"Hey, are you saying I should just sit back and let you handle this by yourself?"Kallen assumed smugly."Have you forgotten? I'm the Ace of the Black Knights."
"Yes, but our daughter-"Lelouch started.
"Will be fine."Kallen finished as Sabrina gurgled in her arms."Besides, I want her to bear witness of Zero's return to save the day."
Lelouch looked down at his wife's respond.
He really expected to take a break from being Zero, but it seemed the world would need him again.
Then again, what else he would expected?
He was Zero.
The Leader of the Black Knights.
Baby Sabrina lightly laughed causing Lelouch to gently ruffle her hair.
"I guess you want me to go as well, sweet pea?"Lelouch assumed with a small smirk and looked at Kallen."Alright, I'll help."
"Yay!"Benio cheered in delight.
"And his back!"Tamaki laughed.
At the Kingdom of Zilkhstan…
Empress Marrybell was taken to the castle and thrown into the throne room with her hands cuffed and feet chained.
When the 100th Empress of Britannia looked up, she saw Shamna looking down at her with her own guards accompanying her.
"You're the Holy Priestess of Zilkhstan, Lady Shamna."Empress Marrybell said with a frown."Why are you doing this?"
Shamna just smiled evilly as she stared down at the chained Empress.
"Marrybell mel Britannia."Shamna responded."You'll be my key to rewinding his world."
"Your key for what?"Empress Marrybell questioned with a frown.
Shamna just smirked and bent down to stroke Marrybell's Spanish pink hair.
"It all started with your half-brother Lelouch and your niece that have messed up with time after all."Shamna informed.
A horrified look appeared on Empress Marrybell's face.
"H-How do you know about all this?"Empress Marrybell asked.
"It's because I told her."
Thanatos appeared to the entrance of the throne room and walked forward as Shamna moved away from Marrybell.
"Who are you?"Empress Marrybell demanded.
"My name is Thanatos."Thanatos answered."I'm the leader of the Keepers of the Order."
A glare appeared on the Empress' face.
"I'm not sure I've made your acquaintance."Empress Marrybell commented.
"Yes. You're not since we haven't actually met before."Thanatos exclaimed and went on one knee."My, you're quite a desert flower. Such a shame you're one of Emperor Charles' spawns."
Thanatos stroked Empress Marrybell's cheek, only to get spat on the face by the chained Empress.
"Don't. Touch. Me."Empress Marrybell scowled with a cold glare.
Thanatos rubbed the spit on his cheek as he stood up.
"Looks like you need to be processed."Thanatos declared grimly.
Two black glowing Geass marks appeared on Thanatos' eyes causing the 100th Empress of Britannia to fall into unconsciousness.
Shamna walked over to Thanatos.
"Is she-"Shamna started.
"Alive. Just asleep."Thanatos responded and looked at Empress Marrybell."Has a lovely appearance and a gentle demeanour. But she is a sharp and able person, who possesses situational assessment and strategy-designing abilities. The perfect ruler for Britannia than the weak and delusional Puppet Empress, who can't even wield a sword or run from danger."
"The next thing we'll expect is Zero and the Black Knights coming to her rescue, correct?"Shamna assumed.
"Indeed."Thanatos agreed."No doubt their little saviour will be among them."
"Sabrina vi Britannia. Prince Lelouch's offspring."Shamna responded."If she has the Geass power to time travel, it could mean trouble for our plans."
Thanatos nodded in respond.
"Correct."Thanatos answered and smirked."Though your Geass gives you the ability to send your consciousness six hours back in time whenever you died and allow your past self to have 'visions' of future events, allowing you to plan around them. Quite intriguing. Did V.V give you that Geass?"
Shamna smirked at Thanatos.
"Since you are immortal and can travel back in time, you do already have all the answers."Shamna guessed."You shouldn't ask questions you already know the answer. It's not nice."
Thanatos bowed at Shamna.
"My deepest apologises."Thanatos said slightly before bringing his attention on the unconscious Empress."You and King Shalio both do what you like with the 100th Empress of Britannia. For now, I bid you good evening."
Thanatos then disappeared from sight.
Back in Japan…
Lelouch, Kallen and Baby Sabrina returned to Stadtfeld Manor.
"Welcome back, Master Lelouch and Mistress Kallen."Sayoko greeted with a bow."Lady Nonette called, but I told her the two of you were out. Though I assume you've heard the news?"
"Yes."Lelouch said with a frown."Marrybell and the Glinda Knights are in danger."
"We've already told the Black Knights and the W-0 Squad of what occurred, so all we need to pack and get ready to leave."Kallen commented and brought her sleeping daughter to Sayoko's arms."Put Rina in her cradle. She had a long day today."
"As you wish."Sayoko said with a nod."Then before the two of you do, it was wise to come and see the visitors that have come to see you."
"Visitors?"Lelouch said in confusion.
Sayoko simply smiled and nod her head to the dining room.
Lelouch and Kallen made their way to the dining room, only for both of them to become stunned.
There in front of them stood Sabrina playing cards with Bertie in the dining room.
"Remember, Bertie."Sabrina instructed."The strongest suit is hearts followed by diamonds, clubs, and spades, but this rule only works when playing the same card. For instance, a 2 of hearts beats a 2 of diamonds."
"Okay."Bertie responded and looking at the cards."So, 3 of spades is the lowest card in this game. The 2 of hearts is the highest."
"You've got it."Sabrina chuckled.
Bertie notice Lelouch and Kallen in the entrance of the dining room causing him to lightly nudge Sabrina.
"Sabrina, they're here."Bertie said softly.
Sabrina glanced at Lelouch and Kallen causing her to smile weakly at them.
"Hey, mum and dad."Sabrina greeted as she stood up from her seat."I'm back."
