As Nick stood on the planet designated P3R-233, the awe of his surroundings filled him with a sense of wonder. It was a world that had existed solely in the realm of fiction, a planet that was never meant to be touched by mortal hands. The imposing stargate stood before him, a portal to an unknown universe. But Nick knew he couldn't stay here forever.

With a deep breath, he reluctantly turned away from the Stargate. He retraced his steps back to the room where the mirror was situated hoping to find the remote in this reality. Yet, despite his thorough search, no remote could be found.

He decided to get back to his own world, to his cozy apartment and the familiar streets of his city. The mirror was still active and he could see his appartement through the frame of the mirror just like he left it.

Upon touching its surface, the room around him pulsed with blinding light, and he found himself back in his apartment. The mirror remained active, its surface still showing the room on P3R-233.

Seated before his computer, Nick delved into research. The year was 2023, but the mirror he had discovered bore no resemblance to the fate portrayed in the show. This raised a myriad of questions about the state of the galaxy in the alternate reality. Does Stargate Command even exist in this unfamiliar world? Had Ra been killed? Do the Goa'uld exist? Had Earth been subjugated, destroyed, or had the Stargate never been activated in the first place? The possibilities were staggering, and Nick needed more information before deciding what to do.

His fingers danced across the keyboard as he sought a list of gate addresses, recognizing that in the show, the Stargate network held the keys to untold technology, wealth, and knowledge. However, Nick wasn't content with just searching for existing gate addresses; he wanted a way to organize and catalog them efficiently. So, he decided to put his skills as a software engineer to use and created a custom app for his mobile phone. This app allowed him to compile a comprehensive list of Stargate addresses, along with all relevant data such as the owner of the planet, useful technology, and any other pertinent information. It was time to meticulously plan his next steps, armed with this invaluable tool at his fingertips.

For his first journey, Nick needed a relatively safe destination, a place where he could discreetly gather information. He decided on a world known to SG-1 for its connection to Ra, Abydos. If there was a pyramid still standing there, it signaled Ra's or another Goa'uld's reign. If there was only debris, then Anubis had destroyed the pyramid. And if there was no pyramid, no debris at all, while a complete absence of the pyramid could indicate the nonexistence of the Goa'uld in this alternate reality. He also chose this planet because of the carthouce gaining him a lot of gate addresses and the eye of Ra that could be there. Sadly the show rarely show an address being dialed so with the cartouche he would gain so much more gate adresses. If the Goa'uld did indeed exist in this realm, Nick vowed to make it his life's mission to thwart their malevolent rule.

With the Abydos gate address acquired, Nick ventured to a nearby store to procure a couple of drones. He understood the value of caution in this unfamiliar territory, and drones were the perfect scouts for exploring the vicinity beyond the Stargate. Upon returning home, he unpacked, tested, and calibrated his new gadgets meticulously.

Returning through the mirror, he approached the familiar Dial Home Device (DHD). With the Abydos gate address on his mobile phone, he initiated the dialing sequence. After the gate succesfully connected he activated his drone, checked if the camera was working correctly and flew it through the event horizon. The video feed momentarily vanished upon entry but soon reestablished itself as the drone exited the gate on Abydos. Nick was now witnessing the inside of the pyramid, mirroring the scenes from the show. This confirmed the presence of the Goa'uld in this alternate universe and the enslavement of humans. Not a soul was in sight, prompting Nick to guide his drone out of the pyramid's confines. His intention was to scour the surroundings for the city of Nagada or any signs of the naquadah mine.

As Nick watched the live feed from his drone on the inside of the pyramid, a shiver ran down his spine. It was a stark reminder that he was no longer in the realm of fiction; he was now a witness to the harsh reality of an alternate universe.

The inside of the pyramid closely resembled what he had seen in the series. The hieroglyph-covered walls, dimly lit chambers, and the sense of ancient power emanating from every stone were all there. However, the absence of any people was eerie. In the show, the Abydonians had lived under the rule of Ra, but here, the pyramid seemed deserted.

With the drone's camera, Nick guided it out of the pyramid, hovering just above the vast desert sands of Abydos. He scanned the horizon, looking for any signs of human habitation. In the distance, he spotted the unmistakable outline of the city of Nagada, a cluster of stone buildings rising from the dunes.

Taking a deep breath, Nick guided the drone toward Nagada, eager to gather more information about this alternate reality. As he approached the city, he noticed that it appeared to be in a state of disrepair. Buildings were crumbling, and the once-bustling streets were now eerily silent.

Nick couldn't help but wonder what had happened here. Had the people of Abydos risen against the Goa'uld or had they been taken to an other planet for slave labor?

The drone's camera panned over the city, capturing the desolation that had befallen Nagada. As he continued to survey the area, Nick spotted something in the distance. It could only be the naquadah mine.

As the drone drew closer to the mine, the camera feed revealed an empty pit, long abandoned and devoid of any recent activity. The tools strewn about indicated that it had been left untouched for quite some time.

With nothing of interest in sight, Nick decided to press on with his search. His next objective was to locate the cartouche, a vital piece of the puzzle. After a few minutes of careful scouting, he came upon the entrance of a building, mostly buried beneath the shifting sands.

Nick guided his drone inside and, after a brief search, discovered the chamber housing the cartouche. Taking a moment to survey his find, he knew he would need to return later for a more thorough examination.

With the drone's battery running critically low, Nick decided it was time to retrieve it. He navigated the drone back towards the Stargate, ensuring it was safely landed within the pyramid for easy retrieval.

Nick's anticipation grew as he prepared to venture to Abydos once more, this time in person. With the gate address for Abydos freshly dialed, he stepped through the shimmering portal and found himself in the pyramid on Abydos, his drone right in front of him. He walked past the drone and took a right turn, entering the tunnel adjacent to the gate room. After some wrong turns and twists, he finally found the chamber with a crystal on the wall.

Carefully, he used his laser pointer to illuminate the crystal, which triggered the opening of a secret door leading to a treasure chamber. Inside, the room gleamed with gold jewelry and other valuable trinkets. But Nick's eyes were drawn to something more. Among the treasures, he discovered a Zat'ni'katel, also known as a zatgun, a Kara'kesh hand device, and to his surprise, a concealed Za'tarc laser weapon that could fit in the palm of his hand.

After stuffing his bag full of gold and other valuable items he proceeded to inspect the walls, tapping them to locate the hidden Eye of Ra. Once he identified the spot, he brought down the wall with a hefty hammer, revealing the Eye of Ra. Its purpose remained a mystery, but Nick was certain he'd find a use for it in the future.

After securing the treasures, Nick returned to the Stargate, placing the bag down next to the drone. He then embarked on a short hike to the building holding the cartouche. Once there, he meticulously cataloged all the gate addresses he could find. Satisfied with his work, he returned to the gate, picked up the drone and the bag, and dialed his way back through.

After setting the drone down near the gate, Nick stepped through the mirror. Back in his apartment, he was overwhelmed with exhaustion and hunger. Nick decided to call it a day, placing the bag of valuables in a secure spot. He headed to his kitchen for a well-deserved meal. With a stuffed belly and a quick wash-up, he finally retired to his bed, his mind filled with dreams of the adventures and mysteries that lay ahead.
