A.N. Hello, reader! I will tell you now, this story is about to become really confusing within the next few chapters. So, if you aren't paying attention, you are going to become very, very lost.

A lot of what is about to happen won't make sense for a long time, though you will probably figure something out.

Anyways, onto the story.

~

Inko's memory problems had started when Hisashi had entered her life. Though she could recall vague emotions, she couldn't fully recall most things she labeled important. And for someone that had been recorded to have photographic memory, it had been maddening.

Oh, she could recall anything work recall, like medical practices and various laws, but (wait, she didn't work with any laws, did she?) nothing concerning Hisashi's family or most of Izuku's life evaded her.

It pushed her to the brink of insanity. How had she forgotten so much? How had she forgotten her son's birthday, even now?

What annoyed her further was the on and off dyslexia. That had really set her off the first time. She was pretty sure that words don't just melt off the page!

Then there was her son, sweet Izuku. She had been horrified at herself the first time she nearly stabbed Izuku. She had sworn that her son's face had been replaced with a replusing growth of pulsing flesh. She had locked herself in her room ever since, every time she got that feeling.

What happened to me? Inko thought, pulling a mug of tea to her with her Quirk. She stood up from the door she was leaning on, hearing a ruckus outside. She watched in slight amused as her best Friend and her son screamed at each other from the sidewalk.

Without warning, a horrible and quick screech tore through her skull, rattling and scaring her at the same time.

Her eyes pulling up to the roof across the way, something slinking away from her sight. Probably an animal.

Little did she know, just across the way, the dead body of Sniper fell off the roof into the neighbors yard, causing a panic in the household.

Though she had been confused by the ambulance at the neighbor's house, she was too surprised. Sarutobi-san had a long history of heroism, but he was far older now. He was probably trying one of his old workout routines and hurt himself.

She withheld a chuckle. He was stubborn like that.

A thought wormed its way into her mind. Shouldn't you be worry? Well, she was, but there nothing to… worry… about?

No, no, no, there was definitely something, but-

Though no one saw it, a glitch-like wall swept over the street Inko and now Izuku walked along.

A thought wormed its way into her mind. Shouldn't you be worry? Well, she was, but the was nothing to worry about. Besides, she had to got shopping with Izu!

Izu looks younger, her mind supplied, but she ignored that thought. She had to get food for the week.

After a few hours, both Midoriyas could be seen walking back home with smiles, groceries, and all.

With an abrupt roar, a villain tore through the wall they were about to walk in front of. Hunched over, the villain had barrel-thick arms, dilated pupils, and a gross amount of saliva leaked out of his bear-like maw. Without a second thought, Inko pulled herself and her son into the alleyway next to them, picking him up in the process. What would be a fatal mistake.

The bear man had heard them run, and turned to chase, a roar of primal rage and hungry following them down the alleyway. Knowing they wouldn't escape and not knowing of another option, Inko threw the groceries at the animal, who ignored it.

She saw the terrified look of Izuku as he pointed behind her. She looked in horror, her feet slipping. Both Midoriyas hit the dirty alleyway with a smack, Izuku getting knocked out. Inko scrambled on top of her son, hoping to whatever diety would listen that he would be safe.

Much like that morning, the screech of what Inko could only assume was a demon or divine being, a horrid squelch of rending flesh, followed by a warm and Iron-smelling liquid Inko could assume was blood fell upon her. With a ground-shaking thud, whatever making the impromptu earthqauke landing far behind her.

She was drifting in and out of consciousness. Shock, she thought up belatedly.

"Ma'am! Ma'am! Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"What the hell happened?"

"It too late for the villain."

"The boy's alive!"

"How had he injured himself like this?"

"Perhaps it's the lady's Quirk?"

"... this is far too similar to the case this morning."

Hisashi Midoriya prided himself on many things.

ringgg!*

His quirk, for one.

ringgg!*

His mind was second.

ringgg!*

And while to a far much lesser extent, you could argue his blood-

ring!* -click!-

"WHAT?!" Hisashi yelled into the receiver.

[Is that anyway to talk to your father?]

Hisashi grabbed his face, rolling his eyes while groaning in annoyance.

[Just wanted to let you know that I have picked up a new Quirk.]

"Do you want a participation award?"

[It's your son's Quirk.]

"I know."

[...]

"Is that all?"

[Didn't think you would be so… unconcerned about this.]

"Father of mine," Hisashi said curtly. "I would be concerned if my Quirk wasn't what it was. Now, I believe I have more work to do, so goodbye."

He immediately hung up with hearing a response, and with a breath, slammed the phone into the floor, causing a multicolored crack to appear throughout everything in the room.

Blinking, he muttered out a quick, "shit," and grabbed the air, twisting it in his grasp, the cracks disappearing as Quickly as they came.

He felt more changes happen to Inko, making him sigh. He released a pulse of power, immediately calming her down. He couldn't do that again, it was starting to really hurt her.

Then, thoughts of a stout entered his mind, a groan escaping his mouth. "With this shit? Again?"

He had to admit, the stout was definitely smarter than him, but just leave it alone!
