(Start Gardenia Earth)
The early morning sun rose in the distance as the city of Gardenia was experiencing a peaceful morning. But in one lone bedroom a messy bedroom at that a young man was seen tossing and turning. This Crimson Haired youth was clearly in distress from within his dreams as he tossed and turn in his sheets. Nearby a pet bed was seen with a Husky sleeping curled up yet the dog was second priority.
As the young man tossed and turned in his sleep his dreams was seen in battle. In his dream he saw a great number of warriors with swords fighting each other as sword clashed against sword. It was a free for all as it almost seemed like a war in this regard. In his messy room was emptied out boxes of hobby items diorama's and train sets with a few fantasy board games mixed in.
As he slept his dream soon took a sideway and from there he yelped and fell out of his bed. He hit the ground hard and cried out in pain causing the Husky to wake up as well. As he laid there for a moment he had his eyes open with a blank yet annoyed look on his face as he realized a few things. "That hurt." He began as he then turned his head and saw all the things scattered around his room. "And my room is a mess." He added before he began to uncurl himself from the tangle of bedsheets.
Just then the door opened and from it a man walked in and looked at the scene. "Oh good your up." He said with a humorous glint in his eyes at the scene.
"Not by choice." The young man said as he glared at his father for that jab.
"Well someone was going to wake you up, either me, the dog, your mother, or your sister. Looks like you beat us to it." He said and thus smiled at the boy. "Now come on, Flare get dressed the day is starting." The man said and thus Flare glared at his father.
"Remind me to find papers to legally change my name, I mean who names their kids Flare honestly sure it sounds badass but only in a TV Show, Cartoon, or a comic book." Flare said as he was on the fence with his name.
"Have a problem take it up with your mom." He said but before he closed the door he saw the model set was all done. "By the way your diorama looks great, I'm guessing it's finished." He said and thus Flare smirked at his achievement.
"Yeap months of part time jobs, saving money, working extra hours at the Book Store, and design sketching's from my sister Bloom has seen to the completion of the set up for the ultimate Role Playing Adventure of biblical proportions, I present to you my crowning achievement." He began only for the door to close cutting him off. Flare glared at the door for a moment with his eye twitching with his dog padding on in with a confused look. "Jerk." Flare said as he hated when people did that during his roles.
(Later downstairs)
Flare walked in dressed for the day as he walked in putting his t-shirt on and grabbing his Vest Jacket to put on from the nearby chair. "Three cheers for Summer Vacation and the hell scape that is school for making me wake up early despite summer." Flare said in a dry tone as he sat there for a bit.
"Now sport no need to be bitter." The blond haired man from before said as he looked to his son while reading the newspaper.
"It's morning, mornings are EVIL." Flare said as he looked around for his sister. "By the way where's Bloom?" Flare asked as he looked for his twin sister.
"Your mom is waking her up." Flare and Blooms shared father said as just then the husky padded over with his food bowl and whined.
"Ok I get it Ico you're hungry." Flare said as he went to feed the dog who was happy to get some food in his belly. "So dad, since I managed to keep my grades up and mostly stay out of trouble..." Flare began as he was gunning for a nice set of wheels and he wasn't talking a scooter either. In fact Flare was aiming for something with a bit more horse power in it.
"Oh the motorcycle well son about that..." His father began hoping to steer the conversation away from that particular subject. Just then Bloom walked in and went to her father. 'Thank you saved by Bloom.' He thought as he went to look at his daughter while his wife returned to the Kitchen. "Good morning sunshine." He greeted as Flare glared at his father.
"Hey don't change the subject." Flare argued but was quickly ignored.
"I'm not gonna spend my summer working in the shop." Bloom said as she looked to her father while a rabbit was seen hopping in. "I wish I can go somewhere fun with my friends." Bloom complained as Flare glared at her.
"How do you think I feel?" Flare asked but Bloom looked to him.
"Flare no offense but all we have to do is give you a book and you'll last a good while." Bloom said as the twins looked ready to make jabs at each other. "Besides its kind of your fault I slept in late seeing as I was helping you with that diorama of yours." Bloom said as Flare who had a retort went quiet as he sat down pouting.
"Ok I get it I owe you." Flare said clearly annoyed with his arms crossed.
"When you two are older you can go wherever you want." Their dad said as he looked to the twins.
"How old is older we're already 16, dad." Bloom complained and thus Flare sighed as he looked to Ico and the rabbit hanging out with said rabbit on the Husky's head.
"Only 16 you are still my little girl." Their father responded and thus Flare laughed a bit.
"Hah!" Flare laughed only for their mother to step in.
"Don't think you're out of it my sweet baby boy." Their mother gushed and thus Flare's temper flared up a bit.
"Mom stop your embarrassing me!" Flare complained as he had his cheeks pinched.
"Listen a few weeks we'll all go to the beach like we do every year... assuming Flare behaves for that long." He said as Flare looked to them.
"They were asking for it!" He defended on what he did.
"But all my friends go on holidays by themselves that would have been the best present ever." Bloom complained and thus Flare sighed.
"The curse of a middle class family as opposed to a high class family." Flare said as he didn't seem to mind it all that much. "Just as long as I get my motorcycle we'll be good." Flare said as he got his license for it, been behaving, and kept his grades up to snuff.
"Did you really promise him that?" Their mother asked her husband as she did not like those death traps on two wheels.
"I didn't exactly promise that." He defended and thus Flare went wide eyed when he heard this.
"Anyway speaking of presents we got a little surprise for the both of you." Their mother said and thus Flare looked ready to lose his cool.
"Just a little something to help you two get around Gardenia." Their father said and thus Flare counted down from 10.
"Oh really thanks dad!" Bloom gushed as she got her hopes up.
"At this point I'll even take a scooter over what I think is out there." Flare said knowing they were being set up for disappointment.
(Outside)
Bloom was the first one outside with her rabbit followed by Flare and his dog Ico. "Huh/Oh man." Bloom and Flare both responded when they saw that waiting outside were a pair of bicycles. "Nice huh?" Their father asked to which Flare looked disappointed.
"Yeah it's great just what I worked my tail off for." Flare said trying to be nice but it came out as sarcastic.
Flare then sighed as Ico padded after his boy while Bloom got on one of the bikes. As they walked over to the bikes Flare tried to smile but it looked forced on him while Bloom kept her face away from them. As they took their leave their mother looked to her husband. "Mike I think they were hoping for something more sophisticated." Their mother said to her husband.
"What, like bicycles with speedometers?" He asked and thus their mother sighed.
"In order from daughter to son, a scooter and though I don't like it the motorcycle?" She asked as she knew her son had his hearts set on one of those biker gang pathways.
"Look those are both pricey and all things considered." Mike began but his wife sighed as she knew that Flare had his hearts set on that road accident just waiting to happen.
"He's been on his best behavior hasn't gotten into fights maybe if he can keep it up next year we can work a deal with him he pays for half and the payments and we can pay the other half." She offered knowing that it would probably keep Flare's behavior going.
(Later in town)
"Ok I got a plan." Flare said as he and Bloom walked the bikes with Ico padding next to them and Kiko Blooms bunny riding in her basket. Flare was now wearing his scarf and jacket vest with his fedora resting on his head. "I'm pretty sure one of my buddies is still in town, we'll swing by his place get his car painted and have him ram it into the bikes, we tell dad that we nearly got hit when a car lost control, and build this sob story to get him to buy us something better." Flare said as he walked with the bike.
"No offense but almost all of your schemes tend to get you into trouble or worst trouble." Bloom said as she sighed over her brother.
Flare then glared at Bloom no doubt not liking that comment there. "Hey I don't see you coming up with any ideas to get rid of these things." Flare said as he walked with it as he looked to his twin sister.
"Still." Bloom began as she went to change the subject away from Flare's scheming. "I can't believe them." Bloom said as she and her twin brother walked with their new bikes. "We are not children anymore." She complained and thus Flare sighed to this.
"Well schemes aside Parents are like that sometimes." Flare said as he lowered his fedora a bit. "Doesn't meant I don't want some space." Flare said as he knew his mother meant well but seriously she can be embarrassing sometimes.
"Hey Bloom!" Came the voice of someone who really gritted on Flare's nerves. The twins turn to the girl who was the bane of their existence. "Are you vacationing in Gardenia this year again?" She said smugly as Flare looked ready to retort against her. Ico growled a bit as he glared at the girl only for Flare to step him.
"Stay." Flare ordered and thus Ico did as told.
"And you brought your guard dog of a brother too and the dog?" Mitzy snarked as she glared at the twins. "Shame." She said to which Flare had a retort for her.
"By the way where's your boy toy, is he around for round two?" Flare asked giving a savage grin against Mitzy.
"Hey! He's heading to the vacation place where my friends and I are going!" Mitzy growled as she backed away a bit. "And if you must know he is still recovering from that head-butt you gave him!" She said and thus Flare smirked to her.
"Well, if you didn't send him to me just because you wouldn't leave Bloom alone, that wouldn't have happened to him-" Flare countered but was then cut off by his sister.
"Ok! We're going now!" Bloom pulls her brother away by the arm. "See you when we get back to school, Mitzy!" She said and thus Flare had a few more things to say to the rich girl.
"Or not, because if I ever see you and your friends near her-!" Flare began but was cut off by his sister again.
"Come on!" Bloom tugs at him harder and thus Flare knew he had to end it.
"I hope you get knocked up and ditched!" Flare countered knowing her type well enough just one broken condom away from a bastard child.
"Flare!" Bloom almost yelled and thus he went with his sister before the two began to ride off. Seeing this Ico chased after Flare and padded next to his owner keeping with him at all times. As they rode Bloom sighed over her brother's short fuse. "Do you have to be that hostile?" She asked knowing it was Flare's temper that tends to get him into trouble more often than not.
"She keeps messing with you rich girl wants to play with fire don't blame me when she gets burned." Flare said as it was clear he did not like Mitzy. "And then she sends the football players at me for telling her to buzz off." Flare said but Bloom remembered that story differently.
"You threatened her." Bloom clarifies as she knew Flare can be a bit of a hot head when it comes to those he cares for.
"Because she wouldn't leave you alone." Flare defended again but Bloom was getting annoyed.
"And you keep getting into trouble at school for it." Bloom said as she glanced at her brother in annoyance. "Sometimes you act mom and dad sometimes. I don't need to be protected all the time." Bloom said as she felt smothered at times.
"I get it but." Flare began but was again cut off.
"If you do then give me some space." Bloom said and thus Flare sighed knowing when he was in hot waters.
(Later at the park)
They eventually got to the park where a few joggers were seen. Nearby at a tree Bloom and Flare walked over to it and parked their bikes there. "Well I'm taking a nap before I get called to cover a shift at the book store." Flare said as he looked ready to sleep himself. When he laid down he saw Ico padded over and rest next to Flare using his body as a pillow. "Good dog." Flare said petting his loyal companions head.
Once that was done Bloom nodded and let Kiko go off on her own to play a bit. Once that was done Flare put his Fedora over his face before drifted off to sleep.
(Flare's dreamscape)
Flare opened his eyes and found himself in a battlefield with various knights fighting each other. The darker looking knights sent monsters in various shapes and sizes towards the lighter looking knights who tried to fend them off. At the center, he sees a crimson knight with a flaming sword in the ground in front of him with a flaming dragon behind. He looks at Thorn and beckoned him to come over with his side.
Thorn obliges as he walks on over and thus saw the Knight step aside to the sword. Once the knight did so Flare reached his hand to grip the sword by the hilt despite it burning him, and...
(Waking World)
Flare yelped awake as he and Ico were awoken from their nap by the yelps of Kiko as he rushes over to him and Bloom in a panic. As he did so Flare swore the rabbit sounded like it was actually screaming in panic instead of yelping. "One of these days I might just have rabbit stew." Flare growled wondering what got the rabbit in a panic to begin with.
"What's wrong Kiko?" Bloom asked as she saw Kiko standing before them. The Rabbit started to bounce around trying to pull at Blooms pants lead causing the twins to look concerned. The twins in turn began to follow Kiko to see what has gotten the rabbit freaking out.
(Later)
A few minutes later of following the bunny in the forest, they reach a clearing to see a blonde girl in... Sparkly clothing? The twins hid behind a tree with Kiko standing on a boulder as they saw the girl fighting off small red creatures that had demonic features. Ico snarled at them ready to attack if ordered or if Flare gave the order to do so.
The mysterious girl was wielding a staff and blasting pure sunlight to vaporize those impish creatures and propel one into a hand of a much larger creature. The creature then crushed its ally clearly angry at the girl before him. The creature began to come out of the shadows of the trees revealing to be what looks to be a yellow-ish ogre in overalls.
"Flare, are you seeing this?" Bloom asked her brother in shock to what she was seeing.
"Not dreaming. Not this time." Flare responded as he watches in awe trying to make sensed of this.
"Go away you big, ugly, villain!" The Blond girl shouted towards the ogre. "Or you will face the fury of the sun and moon!" She yelled to which Flare was skeptical a bit to this.
'What is this a Saturday morning Magical Girl anime?' Flare wondered when he heard the girl say this.
Ignoring her, the ogre charges at her in a fury before ramming in to her like a bull which knocked her back. Flare looked in shock and out of impulse, began to pick up the biggest stick near him to possibly fight.
"So much for your fury, isn't it Fairy? Ghouls, hold her down!" The ogre ordered, before he turned to one of them. "And you, grab her Scepter!" He added before the "Ghouls" did as ordered. In response to the remaining ones grab hold on her limbs before one comes over to the staff on the ground to snatch it. It seemed they would win until Flare rushed out into the clearing and started to punt the Ghouls into the air before swinging the stick like a baseball bat at the ogre which hits him at the side of the head.
The blow rattled the ogres marbled a bit before he quickly regained himself. "What the-!?" The ogre growled as he turned to, Flare in fury.
"Flare, what, are you doing!?" Bloom demanded shocked to see what her brother was doing.
"I ask myself that question all the time!" Flare called out before he glared at his foe. "Why don't you pick on someone marginally closer to you own size!?" Flare challenged as he gestured his hand for the beasts to come at him. "Not like anyone can COME close to yours, overalls!" He taunted which served to anger the monster.
"Did you just-!?" The ogre began before he then looked around to his Ghouls, "What are you waiting for!? Get him!" He ordered and thus Flare had a counter for that.
"Ico!" Flare called and thus to their shock Ico appeared growling at the foes before charging out to fight. As he barked and snarled the ghouls quickly scattered but the Ogre wasn't so lucky. Ico jumped onto the Ogre and began to bite down at him causing the Ogre pain. The Ogre tried to get Ico off until Ico jumped off after tearing out some of the Ogres overalls. Ico tossed it aside and growled at the enemy ready for another round making the Ogre scared of the Husky.
Seeing this Flare smiled to his dog and winked at him. "Good bad dog." He praised and thus he got his makeshift weapon as he then flips the Scepter with his foot and kicks it towards the downed Fairy. Flare then swung his weapon overhead into the head of a Ghouls that was leaping towards him, and then turn it downward to slam its end into another that is going for his leg. Leaving him open for one to latch on this shoulder, digging its claws through his clothing and into his skin tearing some of his shirt up. Ico seeing this jumped onto the ghoul and forced him off his master before Ico grabbed another by the neck with his free hand and tossed it over to another incoming Ghoul.
But alas the human dog duo can only do so much before they were getting overwhelmed by the foes. More and more Ghouls showed up until Flare and Ico were both covered and pinned down by the foes. In shock to this Bloom grew angry and in turn got ready to jump in and was ready to save her brother. "Get away from him!" Bloom yelled as she ran on over to Flare whom the Ghouls are piling on him. But suddenly she started to emit heat and a wave of fire came off of her in waves. The fire began blasting the Ghouls off both her brother and his dog while roasting them alive yet miraculously, nothing happens to said brother and K-9 pet other than Flare looking at his sister in shock.
"H-how did you do that?" Flare question his sister as Bloom said to him, "I don't really know. Did I really do that?"
Kiko was ducking down in cover but saw the threat were gone, as it stood up, and cheer out to his owner kicking some ghoul's butt as he throw its hand up and did a few boxing moves before a ghoul snuck behind him, as the rabbit turn around, it soon fainted by the site of the ghoul.
Before it could hurt Kiko, Bloom saw her precious pet rabbit is in danger, she pick up the nearest piece of wood near her and ran over at the creature saying while taking a swing at it, "Hand's off Kiko!"
The piece of wood was smash to bits after hitting the ghoul away from Kiko, making it hit into a tree before vanishing in a puff of light.
Bloom smiled at her victory until that Ogre in overalls came up to her, and capture her as he said, "Come here so I can smash you like a china doll!"
Flare saw this and was furious as he rushes to the ogre quickly, unnoticed by him, the book in pocket started to glow brightly, as Flare raise his fist as it was being cover in flames as he yells out, "Leave my family alone!"
In turn the fist, connected to the ogre, he did release Bloom, while also sudden went flying into the air as he yell out in pain with a slight burn appearing on his overalls, while the fire from Flare fist sudden flew into the air taking the shape of a dragon before it exploded in big flames.
"Wow, they are so power," the blonde girl said as she just witness what the twin did as she finish off the remaining ghouls that was around her, as she look to Flare, while looking exhausted of what he just did, with Bloom was a bit taken away of what she saw what her brother did, as the blonde said to herself, "Very handsome."
She came up to the twins as she said to them, "Are you two alright?"
The twins looks up at the blonde, as she stood before them with her staff in hand as Bloom said, "Yeah."
"A bit tired, but nothing to serious," Flare said as he was surprise to see the blonde girl was so close to them now, and getting a better look at her, she was pretty cute.
The ogre started to recover from Flare's fire punch and turn to the ground, soon face the blonde girl once more as she said to the big guy, "I have my scepter back, you don't scare me anymore!"
She soon blast the ogre back with her weapon, as it hit pretty hard, making the ogre flew back a good distant with the blonde went on saying to the ogre, "Only returning the compliments, you beast!"
Soon enough more ghoul came forth, about to ambush the blonde girl from behind as Flare saw this and call out, "Watch out behind you!"
The blonde quickly acted to that warning as she did turn around fast while also raising her staff and spinning it fast while it glows brightly with a great amount of magic being build up in it before she release it upon the ghouls all at once, blowing them all away before they pop like the others in a puff with a flash of light following after it.
Giving her staff a spin before putting it down, with Kiko mimic her with a twig it had with Ico title his head and went, 'hmm?'
The ogre got back up and look around to see that he has no way to win. In turn the remaining Ghouls gathered up around him ready to make their escape one of them holding a piece of Flare's bloodied outfit. "We'll meet again!" The Ogre said before he clapped his hand together, making him disappear into a puff of smog along with his minions.
"Yeah that's right ugly you better run!" Flare called out pointing his makeshift weapon at the fleeing Ogre. He then took notice to that the same weapon was now a charring stick that was still currently on fire. "Whoa!" He cried out and dropped the stick before stomping on it to put it out where it then turned to ash.
"Well." The Fairy said as she rested the end of her staff on the ground before she turned over to the twins. "Not bad you two!" She praised happy that they provided her with some aid.
"It's... no problem?" Flare said as he was still trying to make sense of all of this.
"Thank goodness their gone at last." She said but before they could sigh in relief she began to stumble a bit. Just then she passed out on the ground making the twins go wide eyed to this.
"Hey are you alright, answer me!" Bloom called out trying to wake the girl up. "We need to get home, she needs help!" Bloom said as she looked to her brother.
"Agreed plus I need to make a call to the bookstore while I'm at it." Flare said as he then grabbed his shoulder and winced in pain from the wound the ghoul gave him. "And probably get stitches, with a few shots." Flare added hoping he didn't get rabies from that bite.
(Scene Break Unknown Location)
"Knut, come forth." A female's voice calls out to the ogre as he appears before a trio of young women, obscured by shadows. "It seems that you failed in retrieving the Scepter." The Same Voice said scolding the Ogre for his failure.
"Yes, but!" Knut began but was then cut off by the shadow woman.
"But what?" Another voice said with chagrin clearly wanting answers.
"I had the Fairy where I want her, even close to taking the Scepter." The Ogre now known as Knut said as he tried to explain himself. "But these pair of Earthling humans showed up out of nowhere!" He explained as he knew he was in deep trouble.
"Pair of Earthling humans ruined your mission?" The third voice glares from the shadows.
"They are not normal humans though." Knut said as he clearly looked worried over the threes reactions. "It looks like that they have magic, both of them! The girl burned my Ghouls alive as the boy sent me flying with a Punch that made a Dragon of Fire." The Ogre tried to defend himself as the ones who attacked him came out of nowhere.
"Interesting describe them." The first voice ordered as she glared down upon Knut.
"I don't need to describe them." Knut responded as he began to fish something out from his person. Once he did he revealed it to be the piece of fabric he got from Flare. "One of my ghouls got this from the boy's clothing. It has his scent! If we could bring in a hunting troll or a hound." He began but was cut off by a new voice.
"A hound." Another voice, a male one, said from the shadows. "Sounds perfect. In fact." He began as he sounded like he was rummaging for something himself. "I got something special for you." He said before out of the smog, his arm reaches out to Knut with a small gnarly looking Book in his hand titled, "Blood-Seeking Hound".
"Stay out of this." The voice turns her eyes to the male one no doubt not liking his interference.
"Come now, we are partners are we not?" The male chuckled no doubt amused by this. "If you are looking for monsters that will help you in your quest for power... Megiddo willing to oblige. Oh. Before you go..." He began as he remembered something before he handed to Knutt another Book, a completely white one. "Give this to the one you will summon. He'll know what to do with it." He said which in of itself sounded ominous.
(Back at Gardenia)
Flare and Bloom managed to make it home and of course Flare got the Ghoul bite treated. Fortunately he didn't need stiches like he thought he did. Of course that lead to the awkward explanation of what had just happened. "See if I am getting this right." Mike asked his children after their recap. Flare was still getting his injury treated as his mother Vanessa was making sure it didn't get infected. "This girl is a fairy who got injured by monsters and you two fought them off." Mike said summarizing what the twins had just told him.
"I understand that it is crazy dad, but..." Bloom began but was cut off by Flare as he clearly was not in the mood to argue.
"Have you seen her?" He gestures the unconscious girl laying on the couch while he had his shirt off. "Whatever she is wearing, it's definitely not from here." Flare said as he knew something was going on here.
"Maybe she a fashion model for odd clothing?" Mike attempts to make a counterpoint.
Flare looked ready to argue and considering some of those fashion models he had to give his dad credit there. "Good point." Flare said admitting his Dad had him there. "But how do you explain the scratch marks on my shoulder area?" Thorn counters that by showing his wounds, in which Vanessa dabs it with a cotton soaking in rubbing alcohol. Flare in turn flinched when his mom dabbed it. "Yeow!" He yelped and cringed from its sting. "And if you say that it is a cat, no cat aside from the big ones can make scratch marks like that! And there is no news of any escaped animals from the zoo." Flare said as Ico was just watching cartoons playing on the TV.
"We'll head to the clinic tomorrow to check that out." Vanessa said as she wrapped bandages on Flare's wounds. "But now we have to call the police and take this girl to a hospital." She said worried for the girl in question.
"W-what, no..." The girl said as she then began to wake up. "Don't..." She said no doubt for good reason on her part.
"She's coming to." Vanessa said as she came to her side. "Are you alright dear?" Vanessa asked with concern for her.
"Um, yes. I am." The blonde said as she sat up from the couch and looks at the twins. "Thanks, by the way." She said grateful for their help.
"Yeah don't mention it." Flare said as he looked to the girl.
"It was nothing." Bloom added happy to help those in need.
"My name is Stella," The girl introduces herself as the now named Stella looked to the twins. "And you?" Stella asked as she wondered who her saviors were.
"Hi Stella, I'm Bloom." She greeted the blonde as the introductions went around.
"Flare." The boy greeted raising his hand to say hi to the supposed fairy. "I'm her brother just so you know." Flare added and in turn the introductions were done.
"Should we call your parents, Stella?" Vanessa offered as she looked to the oddly dressed girl.
"That... would be difficult." Stella began as she looked to the couple. "Can your phone call across dimensions?" She offered and thus Flare had a response.
"Continents yes with a fee on our phone plans." Flare said as he knew how expensive calls can be between countries.
"Well, you see I'm from another planet. Ever heard of Solaria?" Stella asked to which Flare raised an eyebrow to that.
"Sounds like a smoothie joint name." Flare said as he looked to Solaria picturing a smoothie bar at a beach. "Or maybe a tanning salon." Flare added as he thought it over a bit.
Stella stifled her laughter to this but continued none the less. "It's a kingdom far, far away." Stella began as she went into her explanation as Mike clearly looked to be denying it all the same. "I'm a Fairy you know. I was about to head to Magix until these monsters." Stella began until Mike cut her off.
"Okay... she's got hit harder than I thought." Mike said while cutting in as he heads for the phone. "I'll just call in the hospital to get her treated and maybe get Flare's bite looked at to." Mike added as he reached for the phone in question.
This response annoys Stella bit and for good reason too. So just to prove something with a vindictive nature, she summoned up sparkles from her fingers and sent it to the house phone in Mike's hand turn it into a carrot. The receiver became a head of cabbage to which Flare was wide eyed by this as was his sister Bloom. "Alright do you believe me now?" She asked with an almost smug tone to her voice.
"Ok if that isn't magic then I'm clearly in need of a padded room." Flare said as he saw it and he had trouble buying it.
"Flare and I saw her!" Bloom steps up by Stella while elbowing Flare a bit. "Like we said, she was attacked by monsters!" Bloom said as she looked to the group.
"Yeah, they forced me to land here on your planet," Stella added before gesturing to the twins. "Your son and daughter saved my life by using magic!" She said showing she was grateful for the save.
"I... actually don't know how I did it." Bloom defended as she looked lost there.
"Same I just got angry and boom fire dragon fist." Flare said as he was just as lost.
"Fairies don't need to know how, they just do." Stella said as she could spot what Bloom was a mile away.
"I'm a Fairy?" Bloom asked as she looked at the blonde in shock.
"And... what about me?" Thorn asked as the thought of using magic was cool but the thought of being a fairy was a blow to his pride.
"Magi are the same." Stella continued which calmed Flare down a bit. "Just the male variety are more... broader than females." She said and Flare had a joke there.
"In more ways than one it sounds." Flare said and thus Vanessa glared at Flare catching the innuendo.
"Flare!" Vanessa scolded and thus Flare smirked.
"I know but totally worth it." Flare said as Stella was lost on the Innuendo.
"I mean, don't tell me if you both didn't know!" She said shocked that they didn't know before she turns to Bloom with an idea. "You should apply for Alfea, it's the best school for young fairies." She said before looking torts Flare. "And you could be a Specialist! Red Fountain trains magi like that!" Stella said as the ideas kept rolling from her. "Even more so after that one Ringed Wizard turned them down. I heard he was also from earth." Stella said as Flare looked surprised when he heard this.
"Wait Ringed what now?" Flare asked as he swore the Ringed Wizard bit sounded familiar but alas Stella felt it best to change the subject.
"Never mind all I really know was that he was working with this one group of strange Fairies somewhere on Earth when this Solar Eclipse happened." Stella said to which Flare had to look that up... at a later date. (ESKK: Food for the thought ;P)
"Please stop talking nonsense." Mike begged and thus Flare had an idea.
"Wait dad hold up if what she's saying is true, than that means me and Bloom can do that thing again." Flare said and in turn he began to focus on his hand while straining his eyes on it.
"What are you doing?" Bloom asked with concern over her brother and his sanity.
"Come on magic… come on do your thing." Flare said and for a moment nothing happened until his hand suddenly caught fire. "HOLY!?" Flare yelped when he saw what happened to his hand.
"FLARE?!" Vanessa exclaimed in a panic seeing her sons hand on fire as he flailed it around.
"Hang in there I'll go get the fire extinguisher!" Mike called out as he ran off to get said instrument.
Flare was panicking while he was shaking his flaming hand in shock as Vanessa runs to the kitchen to get water. Just then Mike comes out with a fire extinguisher and sprays Flare effectively putting the fire out. Flare didn't look too pleased after that as he was currently covered in the foam substance of the Fire Extinguisher.
Nearby Ico only paid half attention before returning to his cartoons. Meanwhile Bloom face palmed herself over her family's antics. "You have a funny family, Bloom." Stella said to the redhead who was clearly not enjoying this.
"You... have no idea." Bloom said as she watched the scene in embarrassment.
"I'm going to hit the shower." Flare said with a neutral tone before leaving the room to wash up a bit.
(That same night in the industrial area of Gardenia)
In the industrial district of the city all was quiet ominously so. The machines were offline while the only people here would be the security guards. All was quiet at least until violet thunder struck and from it Knut and the ghouls' teleported in. "ah here we are." Knut said as he looked around to see if the coast is clear. Once he was sure he was alone he then pulled out the Book and opened its cover to show a snarling dog behind a page of chains.
-Blood Seeking Hound!-
The Book becomes a thick red liquid in Knut's hand as it began to take shape in front on him. Said shape was humanoid dog creature that looked flayed save for his upper torso, shoulders and legs. It was wearing spiked bracelets around its wrists, and a spiked color around its neck with a red book with undecipherable words on its cover hanging off of it on a chain. Its head however, had droopy ears, glowing red eyes, and its snout bares all of its fangs to terrorize those who see it.
Knut cringes from its horrifying visage as he hands it a piece of Flare's vest and the white Book as the creature takes it up. Sniffing the red piece of cloth the creature took time to ID the scent before catching it. In response opened its jaw as its drool dripped out clearly ready for the hunt.
(Back at the Twins home)
Flare entered his room dressed in a fresh set of clothing as he was using towel around his head to dry his hair. Ico followed him and took his place at the dog bed and laid down like a lazy little butt. Once he was done he tossed the towel to the side he went over to his desk and began to do some research. "Ok what happened to you?" Flare asked as he looked to what was once his favorite book that now looked metallic in nature. He has had it since he could remember as for all he knew the book in question was leather bound before not this.
Right now Bloom was showing Stella around while their parents were downstairs discussing what just happened. "Jeez what happened back there?" Flare asked as he leaned back on his chair trying to make sense of all this.
Just then there was a knock on his door and thus Flare looked to it. "Come in at your own risk." Flare said and thus the door opened to reveal Bloom and Stella walking in.
When Stella walked in she saw Flare's room and gaged a bit at the mess. "Oh great you bring the new girl in, well welcome to a teenage boys room, just don't snoop too much." Flare said as he looked at the book in question and saw it was leather clad once more. "Huh?" Flare asked as he looked the book over with confusion.
"So this is your room." Stella asked as she looked around and then covered her nose. "What's that smell?" She asked and thus Flare had a few ideas.
"Either my laundry or my gym bag." Flare said as he may not be the most tidy but even he knew to keep his room more or less clean. Most of the bad smells came from those two mentioned objects.
"Wow did you make this?" Stella asked as she saw the Diorama that had a moving train and a dragon seemingly flying around.
"Yeah me and Bloom both, she drew up designs and I put them to use just don't change it into anything we worked real hard on it." Flare said as he looked at the Diorama that took up most of his floor space.
"Fairies honor I won't tamper with it." Stella said as she can see a lot of time and effort was put into it. Stella then took notice of a stack of written papers on Flare's desk and looked them over. "You write, Flare?" Stella asked impressed Flare did such a nimble thing.
"Eh I dabble." Flare said as he wanted to be a writer but most of the good ideas were already taken.
"What are you writing about?" The blonde asked as she looked to, Flare.
"Knights amongst other things." Flare asked as he spun around to face the group. "But still, I still wondered what happened in the park earlier." Flare asked as he looked to the Fairy before him.
"It's simple really you both used your powers to save me." Stella explained as she looked to the young man. "Just like I told Bloom in her room its normal where I came from. It's pretty much a part of life." Stella said and thus Flare waved it off.
"Well, sorry but it's not the same here." Flare began as he folded his arms. "To humans, magic is myth. So... Bloom and I never knew we had magic." Flare explained as he had one more bit to say. "Even more so this is the first time it came out at all."
"Well, I think I can explain it." Stella said as she then looked out the window before she then turned over to the twins. "Strong emotions can bring up the magic that lies dormant within you. It's there, but I suppose you never notice it. You could do anything with it if you have the concentration." Stella said no doubt repeating what she told Bloom earlier.
"Yeah, that worked. I think." Flare said as he recalled the incident from a few minutes ago when something occurred to him. "Hold on. If you say magic exists..." He said before he took out his Book and showed it to Stella. "What can you tell me about this?" Flare asked and in turn Stella began to give the book a good look over. At first it was a regular leather bound book but she had an idea and from the looks of it so did this male Earth magic user.
"Wait." Flare came in and thus focused on the book hoping to repeat what he did before. Just then his hand lit on fire once more but this time the book absorbed said fire and changed into a metallic form once more. Once it was changed he passed it over to Stella who in turn took the book to examine it.
Stella was of course shocked when she saw this and in turn had no idea what to tell him. "I'm honestly not sure." She said before taking a seat on Flare's bed after making sure nothing was crawling on or under the sheets. "I've never seen something like this in my life. And I have seen many things." Stella explained as she wondered where it came from. "But... this Book has a lot magical energy." Stella confirmed and whatever magic was inside it was powerful. "Where did you get it?" Stella asked as she looked to, Flare who had a similar answer.
"I dunno I've had it for all my life." Flare said with a shrug of his shoulders. "Perhaps I've had it even after I was born." Flare said as he didn't have a single memory that didn't have the book in it somehow. "But I keep it around as a good luck charm." Flare said as he took his charm back and put it on the table. "And now that I know this has magic it actually might explain a few things." Flare said as he seemed to be putting a mental puzzle together.
Just then Bloom cut in as she looked to Stella. "Are we really magic people?" Bloom asked as she looked to Stella with concern.
"Of course you guys are!" Stella confirmed as she looked to the two. "With the right training you could a very powerful fairy while handsome here can be a very skilled Specialist." Stella said and thus Flare had one more question.
"What ARE Specialists anyway?" Flare asked before Stella's words caught up to him. "Wait back track a minute, handsome?" Flare asked surprised at being called handsome of all things.
(Meanwhile outside)
The Hound steps out of the alley as it sniffs around and turns to a house where the scent is strong. "He's here..." It spoke as with him was Knut and the ghouls from before.
"Great, now go after them!" Knut commanded it behind since they needed to get Stella's staff and both the boy and the girl.
"Not yet." The Hound said as he then took out the white Book before he turned over its cover. "Another Book shall be written..." He said and in turn by the turn of the cover, a much larger book passes through from the ground opening up to cover a section of the very city. As the pages flip, the very area disappears much to the shock and bewilderment of the people outside the book's borders. Meanwhile though man with long scarlet hair watches from a rooftop.
(Meanwhile back inside the house)
"Are you believing any of this?" The patriarch of the family said as he sat down on his chair.
"From what I have seen, yes." Vanessa said as she places her hands on her waist. "But it seems that is not the issue here. It is not whether or not anything said is real, it is whether you chose to believe it. And I know believed it too." Vanessa said as she pointed at Mike.
"Still though, we've been raising magical children this entire time?" Mike places his hand on his head as he wracked his brain around this.
"They are special. You said so yourself sixteen years ago." She argued knowing how the twins came into their lives. "Maybe this is different kind of special." She said as she was open to it, even if said special included her baby boy.
Mike responded with silence to this and thus Vanessa let out a sigh. "I understand you are worried about Bloom and Flare. I am too, but if this is their true nature, who are we to stop them?" Vanessa asked as she looked to her husband.
"...Um, as their parents?" Mike responded with a shrug not unlike the one Flare tends to do.
"And you wonder where Flare gets it from." Vanessa said more to herself then anything. "I think they are upset at us enough for coddling them and they have every right to be." Vanessa replied to her husband's earlier comment. "They're 16 already. We can't continue like they're children anymore... eventually all baby birds leave the nest." Vanessa said and thus she had Mike there.
(Back outside)
"Over here." Hound said as he pointed to the twin's house.
"Good!" Knut said as he began to device their plan. "Now we can go around the back and take the while happy family by surprise!" Knut said but the monster begged to differ on this.
"Why do we need to take the humans by surprise...?" The Hound interjected as it reeled its arms. "If we can smoke them out like the vermin they are?" It said and in turn with the swing of his arms, spiked rings shoot out of his wrists which impacts the household.
"What are you doing!?" Knut asked in shock for this.
"The Alter Book is being written as we speak." The Hound responded to which this surprised Knut. "To complete it, this area and everyone in it, shall be destroyed." He said and in turn Knut put his foot down.
"We're supposed to do this with discretion and capture the two!" Knut steps up to the Hound trying to stop him to which it pushes him back.
"You can do it at your own time." The Hound snarled as he was in no mood for all this sneaking around "Besides, attention matters not as long the Book is complete!" The Hound said and in turn Knut knew he was out of his league here.
"T-they'll hear about this!" Knut gets up and step back to teleport away to inform the Witches of Hound going rogue.
(Meanwhile back in Flare's room)
Flare sat in his chair before spinning around and looked outside the window. "Um what?" Flare asked as he looked outside to the night sky outside.
"What's wrong?" Bloom asked as she noticed Flare was acting off now.
"Ok don't freak out just yet... but the night sky looks different than usual..." Flare said and thus the two girls went wide eyed to this.
"What?" Bloom asked before she and Stella went over to the window to see for themselves. Just as Flare said the night sky was completely different then what they were used to. The night sky was currently an iridescent dark blue color which could be "normal", but what wasn't normal with this scene were all of the floating stones with varying winged creatures flying around them.
"Is this...? Where are we?" Bloom asked before she and Flare looked to Stella hoping she had an answer.
But judging by the look on Stella's face she was just as lost as they were. "Actually, I have no idea!" Stella said and in turn Flare knew they were in trouble now.
But before they could ponder it further the entire house shook and thus Flare sprang into action with Ico. "Something's going on outside!" Flare called out as he grabbed his spare vest and ran out while grabbing his scarf and fedora on the way through.
(Downstairs)
The Twins and Stella arrived downstairs with Ico to meet up with the twins parents. "Are you guys ok!?" Bloom asked as she was worried for her parents.
"I think so." Mike said shakenly as clearly the entire house felt it. "Your mother and I were having discussion when." Mike began to say but was cut off by spiked rings burst through the wall behind him. Revealing itself behind the group was the Hound sending rings to his surroundings causing wanton havoc and destruction. Mike steps up in front to protect his family. "You all get behind me!" He urged as Bloom, Flare, and Stella were shocked by this.
"What is that thing!?" Bloom cried out in shock when the creature came in.
Flare meanwhile took notice to what was going on outside. He could see that the buildings' edges outside look like that they were burning like paper as they slowly fell apart. He then sees a white Book in the Hound's hand, with half of its body was slowly becoming black and mangled.
"What..." Thorn began as he put the pieces together. "What the hell are you doing!?" Flare demanded as he glared at the monster.
"Making a Book." The Hound suddenly said as it turned to Flare. "Books grants us power! Power to dominate all realms! To complete this one... everyone here shall perish!" The Hound said not even caring over what its words implied.
"Dominate... all realms?" Bloom repeated as her blood ran cold at the concept of such a thing.
"You bastard...!" Flare yelled as he tried to step up to the beast. But all the while Mike's hand stopped him no doubt trying to protect his family. But Flare was a stubborn one as he then bats his father's hand away before running at the beast. "You are not killing anyone!" Flare yelled as he looked ready to fight against impossible odds.
"Flare!" Vanessa cried out to her son wanting him to stop.
"Humph. Foolish." The Hound scoffed as he slung a ring at the ground behind Flare. The resulting explosion blasted Flare forward while propelling his family and Stella back. "This world doesn't need human filth such as you. Rejoice though, for your city and its people's essence will complete the Book. For the world we envision will come to existence!" Hound said as Flare clearly had some arguments against that.
"I don't give a damn about some Book you're writing!" Flare snapped as he struggled to get up. "But when you threaten my family, the innocents and their loved ones... I WON'T FORGIVE YOU!" He yelled as he grabbed a piece of metal and charged at the Hound again only for the impact to not do anything damaging on the Hound's body. Hound then grabbed the piece of metal and pushed it away from it, and then strikes its fist into Flare. Making tumble on the ground with his Book falling down from the room above and drops in from of him.
"Flare!" Bloom lays on the ground from the explosion, trying to get up.
"I will... protect my family... NO MATTER WHAT!" Flare roared out with his declaration no doubt willing to lay his life down for his loved ones.
"Silence, human scum!" The Hound yelled as he then reeled his arm for another attack. "And disappear!" He called out before he then flung a ring at him. But it seems fate was on Flare's side as the ring only flew out to be shot down by a beam out of light.
"Not on my watch!" Stella shouted while in her Fairy form, readying her Scepter for another attack.
"You wish to interfere, Fairy?" The Hound said not at all bothered by Stella as a threat. "If you insist!" He said no doubt seeing the girl as more fuel for the book.
In response Stella continued to blast away the Hound's projectiles as her attacks struck true and hit the beast, knocking it back a bit just enough for Stella to close in on it.
As the battle between the Fairy and the canine beast raged on, Vanessa then got up and picked up her daughter. "Bloom, take your brother and run! We won't be far behind." Vanessa said as she helped her daughter back up.
Bloom looks up to her in shock. "What about you!?" Bloom asked with concern.
"We'll be fine. We are going to keep it busy. If Stella gets hurt too, take her away from here as well!" Mike replied willing to put his life on the line for his family. "Even if he passes through us so easily... at least it will buy you enough time for you to escape." Mike said and thus Flare's raged spiked when he heard this.
"Don't." Flare panted as he forced his body to power through the pain while grabbing his book. "Don't you dare, sacrifice yourselves for us!" Flare yelled before he stood up tall as he felt the pain vanish somehow. "We're getting out of here alive, all of us!" He yelled before charging at Hound again one last time. Meanwhile the Hound pushes Stella away distracted by his fight with the fairy, that he was now left wide open for an attack. Flare reeled back his fist with his Book in hand, before swinging it at the hound while it caught fire again. Once it hit the monster it bursts on impact, propelling the Hound back a great distance much to everyone's surprise especially his own.
Flare then looked at the Book as it glowed a flaming red in his hand. "Is... is it because of this Book? Did it give me magic or did it awaken what was already there?" Flare asked before he then turned the cover to reveal an image of a white silhouette of a fire-breathing dragon with a red outline.
"There once was a mythical creature with the ability to obliterate anything in its path."
"That book-!" Stella cried out at it in awe as she was even shocked about the creature it described.
Just then a gout of flame shoots out from the book before it took the shape of a serpentine dragon. It flew around for a moment before it dives downward towards the ground between Flare and the Hound, setting fire to the entire area. Once the flames died down a bit it showed that at the center of the area was a sword with the blade in the ground wreathing with fire.
Flare instantly recognizes this scene and that blade from his dream. Thus like in his dream he attempted to approach the sword, but he feels the sheer heat coming from the flames and how they grew to challenge him. But knowing full well of the situation he was in, and what will happen if he failed he in turn gritted his teeth and continued to marches through. The feeling of the flames burning his skin was felt as the fire was searing his flesh. Yes despite this he continued on despite the path with a clear goal in mind. When he finally got close enough he grabbed hold of the sword's hilt, which he feels the burning in his hand at its strongest. He persevered through the agony the fire inflicted upon his body, and rips it out from the concrete with a mighty roar of triumph.
When the sword was drawn it was clear who its new master was and in response the fires began to gather into the sword. The heat began to dye down as the fires continued to enter the sword slowly but surely changing its shape. Soon the fire burst out revealing the sword had taken on a whole new form. The sword was now seen with a crimson guard in a black sheath with runic markings etched in gold strips that lines its side.
"SEIKEN SWORDRIVER!"
As Flare looked upon the sword he noted it looked more like a belt buckle from those transformation heroes anime's he watches. "This book its magic... it awoken the power I need to fight... the power I need to protect my loved ones." Flare said as he looked upon his new power. "This is my sword." Flare said as he then gripped it thigh in his hand. Flare then slammed the belt to his waist and much to his shock and joy it formed into a red belt around his waist in a burst of fire.
"So, what if you gained some sort of power!?" The Hound began as it pulled itself up from the ground right to continue fighting this new foe. "Our victory is assured regardless!" Hound yelled pointing an accusing finger at Flare.
"And that's where your wrong bastard!" Flare yelled as he pointed his own finger at his foe. "This is my story and you don't belong in it!" Flare yelled as he then got to the best part. "So that means your story ends here!" Flare yelled before he opened the cover of the book once more.
"BRAVE DRAGON!"
The power began to activate before Flare closed the book again before inserting it into the left-most slot of the buckle. Once he did this Flare felt for a second he was in a library that had fires at the ground surrounding his feet with a larger than life size version of the Brave Dragon book landing behind him. He simply chocked it up as magic and left it at that before continuing with what he was doing. He then gripped the sword sheath ready to draw it as he glared at his foe before actually drawing it. When he drew the sword the book he figured was behind him opened releasing the serpent dragon from before as well as an image of a crimson warrior.
"REKKA UNLEASHED!"
Flare took a battle stance with the sword now full sized held in his hand with the blade on fire. "Henshin!" Flare invoked and thus he swung his sword making a cross slash while the flaming dragon swirls around him to form armor.
"BRAVE DRAGON! REKKA: VOLUME I!"
The cross slash then collided with his new helmet creating the visor for it and thus completing the transformation. Flare held the sword skyward as he was now ready for battle.
"When the brave dragon and Rekka, the Sword of Flames unite, a crimson blade shall pierce all that is evil!"
The armor that now covered Flare's form was a trinity of colors. The center was white as his left side was black with red lines as its accents. For the right, a side he had a skirt hanging off of his belt the same flaming red color that was dominate in this form. His right arm had the upper half of a dragon's head acts as his pauldron with his arm being akin to the dragon breathing fire from its jaws.
From the peanut gallery the audience was all in shock over what they saw. "Flare." Bloom said as she stared at her brother in his brand new armor.
"Whoa! Who knew you had that in you!" Stella said as she stood and stared with pure amazement.
Meanwhile, his parents remained agape at this sudden turn of events. "That Book, turned Flare to that?" Vanessa spoke up after a moment of silence but by her tone she was shocked and amazed.
"Who knew?" Mike said as he recalled himself saying that a lot ever since he found the twins.
"Rekka, the Sword of Flames..." Flare said as he gave his new sword a proper look over. "I like it." Flare said before taking a battle stance ready for Round 2.
The two fighters glared at each other for but a moment before they charged at each other. But once they closed in on each other Flare was the first on the uptake and slashed the monsters chest. But he was far from done as Flare as he began to let loose a flurry of attacks that struck their target true forcing Hound to leap back to safety.
"How... how dare you!?" The Hound growled as he glared at Flare. He then placed his palms in front of his face before thrusts them forth unleashing a spectral ravenous dogs to come flying out of them towards Flare.
But however Flare managed to fend them all off by slashing at them with his burning blade. "How dare me?! You're the one who had some nerve doing all of this!" Flare yelled while the dogs flew around, gnashing their fangs at him. Flare of course blocked their jaws with his blade, trying to push them back. Thus with sheer will, Flare placed his foot back and gave his sword a hard swing, slicing through the spectral dogs destroying them while he was at it. "You who had the nerve to use people as sacrifices for your schemes!" Flare yelled as he swung his sword to the side in anger.
"You shall pay for this!" The Hound roared out in fury, before it stood its ground and began to absorb all the burning pages. As it did this the monster began to levitate upward and transform into a giant mangled hound.
Once it was done it looked down at Flare and growled at him. "Oh crap." Flare said as he realized he may have bit off more than he could chew while taking a step back. "Nice doggy good doggy." Flare said as he tried to find a quick escape or at least higher ground.
But just then from the beasts jaws the Giant Hound breathed forth more Spectral Dogs at Flare. But before they could get close beams shot out at some of them allowing Flare to roll out of the way before they hit the ground. Flare then looked over to Stella who had her staff out clearly the one who shot the beams.
"What? You think I'll just stand there and watch you?" Stella asked with a grin on her face.
"Much appreciated." Flare said as he then smirked. "I guess it makes us even." Flare said as the massive Hound snarled at them.
"Don't get ahead of yourself." Stella said but before the Hound could attack barking and snarling was heard before from the upper part of the house Ico jumped down on the monsters back and began biting down on it. Hound roared in pain from the dog bite as he stumbled around. He then crashed just after Ico jumped off and stood protectively before Flare.
"Ico good bad dog." Flare praised as he saw his best animal friend.
"Ok that is one brave dog." Stella said impressed that this Husky could take the fight to Hound like that.
"Let's do this!" Flare called out and thus tapped the book once more. Meanwhile Hound began to get back up ready to snap them into his jaw.
"BRAVE DRAGON!"
In response Flare switched his sword to his left hand in a reverse grip before reeling back his right hand. Once he was done he launched a fireball straight at Hounds gut. Once the fireball exploded upon impact Flare smirked at his supposed victory. "Bullseye!" Flare called out as the Hound fell back writhing in pain. But Flare's victory was short lived as something began to happen. "Oh I spoke too soon." Flare said as he saw Hound getting back up.
Once Hound was back up be prepared another breath attack causing Flare and Stella to get ready. Just then a whip wrapped around its snout closing it shut and stopping the attack.
"You know, when we were sent down here, I heard of an ogre attack." A young man said as he made himself known as the whips owner. He had magenta colored hair as he walked forth glaring at the monster. "Not a giant rabid mutt!" He growling tightening the grip to make sure its attack can't be used again.
"A job's a job, Riven." A young man with short brown hair said as he looked at their foe. He then looked over to Flare and easily saw what was happening. "I don't who you are, but thanks for keeping it busy." He said and thus Flare nodded to this.
"If I may to interject," A honey-blonde young man with glasses began. "We, as well as an entire portion of this city along with its denizens are transported to another realm." He said no doubt being the brains among the group but it was already pretty obvious to begin with.
"Yeah!" Flare called out as he then gestured to the Hound with his sword. "That thing is responsible! It's aiming to destroy this place; I think if we destroy it, we can restore all the damage it caused." He said no sure how he knew that beyond just knowing.
"If you really think so..." Another blonde young man with longer hair said, before he turned to the brunette. "Whaddya say, Sky?" The young man asked his friend.
The boy who was no doubt Sky nodded to this. "If we have no choice to..." Sky began as he activated his broadsword. "Alright. Everyone, let's take this beast down!" He called out and thus they sprang into action.
The Hound in turn swung its head, tugging on the whip hard enough to drag Riven along with it to send him flying upwards. Riven then began to fall to the ground where he landed with a hard crash. "Argh!" Riven cried out once he landed and hit the ground.
"Brandon, get Riven up!" Sky ordered, before he then turned to the young man in the glasses. "Timmy, with me!" He said and in turn they obeyed.
"Ok!" They both called out and went into action. Brandon ran over to the fallen Riven to help him up while Timmy followed after Sky to do some damage. Timmy aimed his blaster at the Hound before firing at its face hitting it in the eye. The attack caused the Hound to become disoriented making it stagger. While it was staggering Sky came in and swung his sword overhead to the ground and made a fissure towards the beast as one of its front paws stumbled into it. Once it did so the creature was in turn stuck leaving itself wide open to attacks.
Next came Flare and Stella as they send fire and beams at the Hound respectively while Riven and Brandon jumped up and slashed at it with their swords. The beast then roared at it turned its snout upwards and breathes out more spectral dogs to dive down to the combatants, with them trying their best deflecting them.
The Hound opened its maw with its eyes opened slightly as they recover from the hit from Timmy. "There is nothing you can do to stop it! No matter how many your numbers are... no matter what you do, this is where it ends!" He roared out as the group kept fighting despite what Hound said.
"Your right this is the end for you!" Flare called out and got ready to attack. He then sheathed Rekka before pressing the trigger on the weapon.
"READING FINISH!"
Once he did this Flare drew it out once more as its flames to burn brightly. Flare then swung his sword prepping his attack as the buckle announced it.
"Raging Fire, Unleashed! Dragon! Slash: Volume 1! Fire!"
"Flaming... Cross Slash!" Flare invoked and thus as the Hound freed itself, Flare leaped forwards to slash through its front legs, making it drop. But Flare was far from done and had no intention of stopping till the job was done. So in turn he jumped up, swinging his sword to cut into the Hound in a flurry as he passed through, landing on a wall of a building. Flare kept going with his sword raised over head after he kicked off the wall and dove straight for the Hound slicing it through. In response to the attacks flaming cuts appeared all over the Hound's large body which he then gives a final howl of death as it then exploded behind Flare's back when he landed.
"Way to go Flare!" Stella called out as she ran over and put a praising hand on Flare's shoulder making sure not to poke herself on anything.
"Um yeah thanks." Flare said a bit embarrassed at the praise. He then looked over to his sister and then gestured to where Hound once stood with Rekka. "Hey Bloom! Check this out!" He waves his hand in excitement over his accomplishment. "I actually beat a monster! How cool was that!?" Flare called out and thus Bloom rolled her eyes at her brother's antics.
"Yeah it kinda is." Bloom said as she wouldn't lie here seeing Flare turn into an armored super hero just now.
In turn everyone began to look around and saw all the damages repairing while the giant pages flipped over their heads before the sky returned to normal. "Well, great job you did here." Sky walks up to Flare. "Who are you, though?" Sky asked as he looked to, Flare.
In turn Flare unsheathes his sword and pulled the Book out of its slot to make the armor disappear. "I'm Flare. And... I pretty much live here." Flare answered before asking his question. "And who are you guys and why are you here?" Flare asked before Stella jumped in.
"Oh yeah, I called them in when I got forced onto Earth." Stella replied clearly forgetting to mention this sooner. "It's was convenience when they got here to help though!" Stella added and thus, Flare let it be for now.
"Yeah, great convenience." Riven snarked a bit making Flare think of several anime lone wolves from TV.
"Don't be like that, Riven!" Brandon playfully slaps him on the back as he then turns to, Flare. "Anyway, do you know what that thing is?" Brandon asked and thus Flare looked a bit embarrassed there.
"Not exactly..." Flare responded before he pondered it for a second. "I thought you guys would know. It said it was trying to create a book that helps it and whoever its working for to dominate the realms or something." Flare said explaining what he heard it blabbering about during the fight.
They all looked concerned and rightfully so what with world domination and all that. "We may have to report this." Sky said as he put his sword away. "I'll even put in good word about you and perhaps Red Fountain could have a spot for you so you can attend." Sky said and thus Riven looked against this.
"Are you serious?" Riven asked as he looked to his leader. "We don't even know this guy!" Riven said as he brought up a good point here.
"I'm with Riven on this one." Timmy added as he looked to Sky. "We can't exactly recruit people out of the blue." Timmy said as it wasn't their place and they didn't have the power to get people enrolled.
"Even so, we can't ignore the kid's potential." Sky argued as it was clear Flare had potential here. "And besides, I'm just putting his contribution to the fight in the report. It's the headmaster's choice whether or not he would accept him into the school. And it is Flare's choice if he wants to attend." He then turns to the subject of their conversation. "Well do you want to join?" Sky asked and thus Flare looked to be thinking about it.
"Hmm that depends." Flare said but it was clear he was faking it before he then looked to Bloom. "Hey are you going to Alfea?" Flare asked and thus Bloom already had her answer.
"What are you saying," His twin sister began with a smile. "Of course I am!" Bloom said and thus Flare smirked to the guys.
"Does that answer your question?" Flare asked clearly ready to join Red Fountain.
"Great." Sky said with a smile as he then threw him a medal. "Use this if you want to get to Red Fountain when you're ready." He said as Flare caught it with ease.
"Thanks." Flare said once he gave it a proper look over. "By the way you guys have a policy on pets." Flare said as he looked to Ico who then tilted his head in confusion again.
"Dude!" Riven exclaimed to Sky with a small glare.
"If he wants to, he wants to. Who are we to stop him?" Sky replied as the team goes off somewhere leaving the group behind.
(Meanwhile in an undisclosed location)
In a dark room one mechanism was seen writing down in book in a strange language until it stopped. Meanwhile another one beside it continued on writing as if nothing happened. "Destroyed before he could complete it." A man seen in a leather jacket said. From what could be seen this man had a slick back black hair with red tips. "No matter, we can rewrite the ending if we so desired." The man said clearly not at all bothered by it.
"Well, blame the boy who has that Wonder Ride Book." A snow-haired man in a fur-lined parka said as he slumped back on a couch.
"Hold on Azurha." The man in the leather jacket said as they received a call. "It's them." He said before he went he activated a crystal orb for a voice to come on through.
"What the hell, Bafomett!?" The woman on the other side yelled clearly angry over something.
"Why, hello Icy." The man now known as Bafomett greeted with a smile on his face.
"Don't hello me! You gave Knut a defective monster!" Icy's voice shouted out at him clearly angry with this. "He said that he refuses to take his orders to retrieve the humans and the Scepter!" She yelled out making her complained known.
Bafomett's eye twitched in annoyance as the woman complained. "Listen honey. Our Mamano are not... magical constructs you can order around." He began to explain how they work. "In fact none of them are in general. They are sentient beings that have their own thoughts, and they carry out the mission we issued them beforehand." He explained to which he defused the situation gently. "Blame your serf on his incompetence on not knowing how they work. If you wanted them to do something for you, let them do our task we gave them, and they'll do yours on the side. If you have issues with it, you could look elsewhere." He said sounding like a business men in this regard dealing with a customer who was unreasonable with their complaints.
Silence came from Icy's end of the call in response as all was quiet for but a moment. "Fine! We'll... consider their 'feelings' then for next time." Icy said no doubt not liking it but accepting it.
"Good." Bafomett said with a smile on his face. "Glad that we can come to an understanding." He said before he deactivated the orb and sighing in annoyance a bit.
"Even if Magus aren't all human..." A glasses-wearing man with curly brown hair said with a chuckle. "They are sure easy to manipulate like one." The man said as he adjusted his glasses a bit.
"People want power, Yasha." Bafomett replied as he joined his allies. "When you give them the opportunity to gain some, they are drawn to it like a greedy fish to a fat worm." He said and in turn Yasha was reminded of something.
"Speaking of power..." the man now known as Yasha said as he looked to the shadows. "Find that Book and Sword familiar, Caliber?" Yasha asked to whomever was in said shadows.
Out from the shadows, a violet armored warrior appeared with a jagged blade at his side. He went to the orb and looked to the orb that showed Flare fighting the Hound. "...the lost Sword of Flames..." Caliber began as he recognized it anywhere. "Saber." He said and in turn it was clear Rekka has found a new master.
(Scene Break that evening)
The House was repaired as Flare was in his room after packing everything he needed for tomorrow. As he was about to head to bed he noticed a letter on his desk that wasn't there before. He walked over to it and opened it to reveal a photo image of Flare during the battle and with it a note.
"Welcome to the Club... Kamen Rider Saber -Signed Decade." Flare read as he looked at the image and in turn got an idea.
*Inserts Almighty Masked Promise
(The next morning)
Flare smiled as he looked to his desk to reveal two manuscripts on it as he began to take his leave. On his desk in his now cleaned room were manuscripts that read 'Kamen Rider Saber,' and 'Winx Club,' as they were clearly for the first 'volume,' of what may be Flare's future career.
(Later Downstairs)
"So you two are really going?" Mike asked as he watched their children bring in suitcases.
"Yes, dad." Bloom replied as she looked ready to go. "I'm going with Stella to the realm of Magix to attend Alfea." She said and thus Flare jumped in with an arm around his sister's shoulder.
"Plus wherever sis is going, I'm going. Well, not exactly wherever in this case." Flare said before he then pulls up his Book, "Maybe going to this Magix place could give some answers about this." He added as he then put the book away again.
"Alright, but call us when you get there, ok?" Mike said as he then sighed and scratched his head a bit. "Oh, why am I agreeing to this? You two could've meet more of those monsters and get hurt again." He said and thus Flare didn't like that.
"We can fight them off, don't worry!" Flare protested as he looked ready to go with Ico padded on ready to go as well.
"That is exactly what I am worried about." His father replied as he didn't know how he felt about his son basically being a super hero. "You can't keep getting into fights, with people, monsters, or otherwise." He said before sighing a bit while looking to Bloom before looking back to Flare. "But at least keep your sister safe." He said and thus Flare smirked to this.
"When don't I keep her safe?" Flare asked as he was glad his father didn't coddle him as bad as he did Bloom.
"And Bloom, make sure your brother stays out of trouble." Vanessa added to her husband's words but torts Bloom as Flare's ego took a blow there.
"Yes, mom." Bloom looks at her twin chuckling nervously knowing doing that was going to be difficult because this was Flare.
"Still, make it back home as soon the school session is over ok?" Vanessa said as she looked to the twins. "We'll miss you two." She said and thus Flare smiled.
"Same as well, mom." Flare said as he was going to miss her.
"You two ready to go?" Stella asked
"Hold on, we're coming with them." Mike said as he went to get his coat as he looked to them. "I want to see this Magix realm for myself, and hopefully see my kids off." He said and in turn Vanessa stepped in.
"Same as well." Vanessa said with a chuckle as this was a parental prerequisite.
"Is it alright for them to come with us?" Bloom asks Stella as Flare was staying out of this one.
"Well... it's technically not allowed... but!" Stella said before she pulled off her ring to transform it into her Scepter. "Why not? Brace yourselves!" She said with warning and then with the wave of her staff, they disappeared in a flash of light.
