AN: Hello, my readers! Here I bring you another version of 'The Legend of Korra' series, but this time with one of the most famous characters in history coming from a galaxy far, far away, Ahsoka Tano.

Honestly, what happened to her at the end of the fifth season of 'The Clone Wars' didn't sit well with me, but considering what happened in 'Revenge of the Sith', I'm glad that happened.

Anyway, let's not get too complicated and see what adventures await our beloved togruta.

I don't own anything.

Sometimes the best path is the one you forge for yourself.

Pain and betrayal. An attack happened in the Jedi Temple and all the evidence pointed to the padawan, Ahsoka Tano. Before she was convicted, her master, the Jedi knight, Anakin Skywalker, appeared with the real culprit, padawan and Ahsoka's friend, Barriss Offee. After that, the Jedi Council apologized to Ahsoka and asked her to return to the Order. However, she refused.

Ahsoka was walking toward the stairs of the Jedi Temple with the intention of leaving, her expression saddened by recent events.

Behind her, Anakin was running towards her.

"Ahsoka, wait!" shouted Anakin. "Ahsoka, I need to talk to you." said Anakin as his apprentice stopped and he caught up to her as she turned to look at him. "Why are you doing this?"

"The Council didn't trust me, so how can I trust myself?" asked Ahsoka crossing her arms and averting her eyes.

"What about me? I believed in you. I stood by you." said Anakin.

"I know you believe in me, Anakin, and I'm grateful for that. But this isn't about you. I can't stay here any longer, not now." said Ahsoka.

"The Jedi Order is your life. You can't just throw it away like this. Ahsoka, you are making a mistake." said Anakin trying to convince her to stay.

"Maybe, but I have to sort this out on my own, without the Council and without you." said Ahsoka firm in her decision as they turned their backs to each other.

"I understand. More than you realize, I understand wanting to walk away from the Order." said Anakin understanding his apprentice's decision.

"I know." said Ahsoka before continuing on her way.

"Wait!" shouted Anakin making her stop again before turning to him. "Before you go, I want you to have these." said Anakin showing her two familiar metal sticks.

"*Gasp* Anakin, no. I can't take them." said Ahsoka.

"You can and you will." said Anakin.

"They are the weapons of a Jedi and I am no longer a Jedi." said Ahsoka.

"But they are part of you. Please, Ahsoka, I would feel safer if you had them." said Anakin.

"You won't get in trouble for giving them to me?" asked Ahsoka.

"Ha. It wouldn't be the first one I've gotten into." said Anakin with a smile.

Ahsoka stared at the metal sticks for a few seconds before picking them up and placing them on his belt.

Shortly after, she gave her master a hug, who returned it.

"Thank you." said Ahsoka before breaking the hug and continuing on her way.

"Try to stay out of trouble, snips!" said Anakin.

"Same to you, Skyguy!" said Ahsoka.

As sad as she felt to leave the place she considered home, to those she considered her friends, she felt better knowing that, with her lightsabers, it would be as if she had never left them.

Later, Ahsoka was at a port, where she would catch a ship to travel away from the planet.

Once she reached her Starfighter, which was carrying an astromech droid in place, Ahsoka climbed into the cockpit and again showed a saddened face for what she was about to do.

She may have wanted this, but saying goodbye to her friends, to her home, wasn't an easy thing to do.

However, after what she had been through, she had to do it even if it was very painful.

"Goodbye everyone." began Ahsoka thinking of all those she knew in her life that she was leaving behind as she shed a tear that she quickly wiped away. "R6. Start the engines. We're leaving." said Ahsoka receiving a few beeps from the droid.

Soon after, the ship started up and took off.

A few minutes later, it reached space and drifted away from the planet Coruscant.

It wasn't long before it lost sight of the planet and found itself in the vastness of outer space.

"Well, where will we go now?" asked Ahsoka before letting out a sigh. "I guess it doesn't matter as long as it's far away from here."

Suddenly, the droid began to beep alarmingly, as if it were screaming.

"What is it, R6?" asked Ahsoka before the ship's systems started beeping wildly.

She began pressing commands trying to figure out what was going on, but then, to her great shock, in front of her, in the middle of nowhere, a hole formed that was beginning to pull the ship in.

"We have to get out of here! R6, maximize thruster power!" ordered Ahsoka taking the controls and trying to move the ship while resisting the absorption.

Unfortunately, the absorption power of the hole made it difficult for the ship to move, so it could only turn a little bit.

"Come on…! Come on…!" said Ahsoka pulling hard on the controls to be able to turn the ship completely.

It was then that the droid noticed something that made it let out a mechanical squeal.

Before Ahsoka could ask, a small meteor came flying straight at them due to the absorption force and impacted directly on the ship's engines.

"Oh, no!" began Ahsoka in horror, as with the engines damaged, the ship began to be sucked into the hole. "Hold on tight, R6!" shouted Ahsoka before the ship and others were engulfed by the hole which disappeared soon after.

Inside the hole, Ahsoka felt everything shaking as if the ship was shaking and little by little, she felt weak until she eventually lost consciousness and passed out.

Her only thought was about where that tunnel would take her.

In another part of the immense space, a hole opened up and out of it came Ahsoka's Starfighter that was releasing sparks in the engine section.

Because she was unconscious, the ship ended up flying aimlessly directly to a planet near where it had appeared.

As it passed through the planet's atmosphere, the ship heated up into a fireball.

Fortunately, Ahsoka was safe inside.

Somewhere on that planet, in an arctic area full of snow, there was a kind of complex.

In one of its rooms, there was a girl with brown skin, blue eyes and long hair, contemplating the starry sky from the window.

It was then that she noticed something.

"A shooting star!" exclaimed the girl with a smile when she saw something bright passing through the starry sky. "I've never been one to wish for things, but…" the girl began before clasping her hands together and closing her eyes. "Please, I would like my journey as Avatar to finally begin and… if possible, I would like a friend." said the girl before she felt something touching her on one side.

Turning her head, she saw that it was a creature that looked like a cross between a dog and a polar bear.

"Hehehe. Easy, Naga. You'll always be my friend, but I was referring to meeting someone different and special. Someone more or less like me." said the girl as she looked up at the starry sky.

What she didn't know was that this 'shooting star' was actually Ahsoka's ship that was now on fire as it headed straight for the ground.

In the end, the ship hit the ground and bounced a couple of times before sliding a few meters, managing to put out the fire in the process.

Ahsoka let out a groan as she slowly regained consciousness.

She put a hand to her head as she gradually opened her eyes.

"Where am I?" asked Ahsoka before recent events came to her mind. "The hole!" said Ahsoka before she set about checking the ship's instruments, but they were all off. "R6, can you run an analysis of the ship?" asked Ahsoka without receiving an answer. "R6?" asked Ahsoka before opening the hatch at the front of the ship, only to let out a horrified gasp when she saw the situation.

As it turned out, the ship had slid until its front half was off a cliff overlooking the ocean, with the back half still on land and Ahsoka's movement caused the ship to wobble a bit.

"R6!" exclaimed Ahsoka turning her head towards where the astromech droid was, only to see it completely shattered due to the pressure inside the hole. "Damn." began Ahsoka moving a little, causing the ship to lurch towards the cliff, so she leaned back to keep the ship from falling. "All right. Calm down. Be precise and careful." said Ahsoka before taking a deep breath.

After that, she took a Force-driven leap and landed behind the ship.

However, that caused the ship to tilt completely towards the cliff.

"No, no, no, no, no." said Ahsoka running towards the ship to stop it, but unfortunately, the ship ended up falling towards the cliff, impacting the water before it was completely destroyed in an explosion.

"Great. I've lost my ship, my droid, my stuff and now I'm stuck on some unknown planet." began Ahsoka complaining about her situation before looking down at her belt to check one thing. "At least I still have my lightsabers. That's a relief." said Ahsoka before looking around, seeing that she was in some sort of field in the middle of the night. "Anyway, no use staying here. I said I wanted to get away from it all, I guess this will do. Alright world, let's see what you have to offer me." said Ahsoka starting to walk, ready to learn about the new world she was in.

The next morning, we headed to the same arctic trail as the night before, or rather, to the complex there, but it wasn't just any complex.

It was the White Lotus complex, a group dedicated to helping the Avatar, the bender of the four elements and guardian of the world.

It was almost 20 years ago that the previous Avatar died and it wasn't long before they found the next one in a girl named Korra, who remained in that complex for many years training in the arts of elemental bending and so far, she had managed to water, earth and firebend.

At the moment, she only had airbend left to master, but due to certain circumstances, she wasn't able to learn it for now.

At that moment, Korra in battle armor is seen throwing a couple of fireballs from her kicks towards a firebender who tried to protect himself by putting his arms in front of him, but ended up knocked down.

Two other firebenders, who were behind Korra, jointly launched a flare at her, engulfing her in fire, but with a circular swing of her arms, Korra dispelled the flames before positioning herself to fight.

One of the firebenders launched a fireball from his fist at her, but she dodged to the side before undoing an incoming fireball with her fist and then dodging another.

Korra charged at the firebender as he did the same and the other firebender moved to the side.

The firebender heading for Korra leapt into the air to launch a wave of fire and a fireball from his foot, but Korra dove down and with her hands flat on the ground, slammed her foot into the firebender's, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground.

Korra got up in time to see the other firebender throw a fireball at her, but she deflected it with her hands as she turned her head slightly to kick the previous firebender who tried to attack her from behind.

She then undid another fireball before launching a pair of fireballs from her fists that knocked down the firebender in front of her.

The one behind threw another pair of fireballs at her, but Korra deflected the first with a mid-jump kick and the second with her arm before throwing a fireball and then quickly turned to deflect a fireball with a side kick before putting her arms up protectively to defend against another fire attack.

With a deep breath, she thrust her arms forward to launch a powerful blast of fire that knocked the firebender to the roof of the area where the White Lotus members were watching the fight.

"She's strong." said Katara, wife of Aang, the previous Avatar to Korra..

"But she lacks restraint." said the leader of the White Lotus.

The last firebender steadily formed a giant fireball with his arm outstretched like a flamethrower as he ran towards Korra who in turn ran towards the firebender with a smile of excitement.

With her arms outstretched, Korra stepped into the fireball and blew it apart like smoke before approaching the firebender, much to his surprise.

She then leapt into the air, using the firebender as a springboard, somersaulted in the air and threw a fireball at him with a kick and then, bringing both fists together, with a small space between them, she launched a powerful blast of fire, knocking down the last firebender.

"Woohoo!" exclaimed Korra excitedly at her victory before approaching where the White Lotus members were standing. "Hey, why all the doom and gloom, people? We should be celebrating! Three elements down, one to go!"

"You're getting ahead of yourself as usual, Korra. We haven't decided if you passed your firebending test yet." said the White Lotus member who was a firebender.

"Ever since you were a little girl, you've excelled at the physical side of bending, but completely ignored the spiritual side. The Avatar must master both." said the White Lotus leader.

"I haven't ignored it, it just doesn't come as easy to me. But that's why I should start training with Tenzin immediately. He's Mister Spiritual." said Korra.

It turns out that Aang, the previous Avatar was the last airbender due to a war that lasted 100 years and now, his third son, Tenzin held the position along with his children, but due to personal and professional issues, he was unable to go to the complex to train Korra.

"Do you believe she's ready, Master Katara?" asked the White Lotus leader.

"Yes. If anyone can teach her what she needs to learn, it's Tenzin." said Katara.

"Very well, Korra. It's time for you to begin your airbending training." said the White Lotus leader, much to the Avatar's delight.

"Yes!" exclaimed Korra before jumping up as she did a flip in the air. "Finally!" said Korra before noticing the people present. "I mean, *Crackles* thank you all for believing in me." said Korra politely before walking away with a smile.

When she got far enough away, she ran off with a big smile on her face.

Korra, in her typical attire, arrived at the stables where a good friend of hers was standing.

"Naga, you should have seen it! I kicked some firebender butt, and I passed!" began Korra hugging the polar bear dog's head and petting her. "Tenzin will be here in a few days." said Korra as she got licks on her animal friend's face, much to her amusement.

Later, Korra, wearing a typical Water Tribe coat, was on Naga's back heading for the gates of the complex of the White Lotus.

"Just taking Naga out for a stroll." said Korra to the sentry at the gates who was looking at her with doubt as to whether or not to do so, which caused Korra to look at him with annoyance. "Don't worry, we're not going far."

Shrugging, the sentry opened the gates, allowing Korra a view of the frozen tundra of the South Pole.

From the distance, a pair of White Lotus guards watched Naga begin to run across the field with Korra on top of her.

"Naga, go! That a girl. Go! Go! Go!" said Korra causing Naga to pick up speed as she looked ahead with joy and determination for soon, she would begin to learn to bend the fourth and final element and with it, she would be a full Avatar.

Days passed and finally the moment arrived.

In the middle of the sunset, a flying bison was seen descending from the sky and flying towards the training center.

Korra and Katara were on the ground waiting for the bison to land and despite the height of the flying animal, they could hear someone talking on his back.

"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? It looks like we're there. I know it, this is very familiar! Are we here yet? Are we here yet? Ooh, please tell me we're here!" said a childish voice as the bison landed on the ground.

"Yes, Ikki, as I've been telling you for the last fifteen minutes, we are, finally, here." said Tenzin in an exhausted voice as a child bit his head like a coconut.

At the news, two girls on the back of the flying bison created an air scooter to glide along the bison's tail as Katara approached her family.

When the girls reached the end of the tail, they undid the scooter.

"Hello, Mother. I can't tell you how happy I am to see you." began Tenzin very exhausted as the boy tugged on his ears and the girls stood beside him. "Please, help me." pleaded Tenzin as he bent down, allowing his mother to grab his son.

Katara laughed at her son's plight.

"Unhand me, strange woman!" said Meelo jerking to escape his grandmother's grip.

"That's your grandmother, Meelo." said Tenzin.

Meelo broke free from Katara's grip, stepped over her leaning on her head and landed behind her before running back to his father.

"It's so good to see all of you." said Katara happy to see her grandchildren.

"Gran Gran, I've been reading all about your old adventures. I've been dying to ask you: What happened to Zuko's mom?" said Jinora.

"Well, Jinora, it's an incredible tale…" began Katara before suddenly the other girl stood in front of her.

"Gran Gran, you look old. How old are you? And why is it so cold in the South Pole? Can we make a campfire, and all huddle around it, and tell scary stories, and make snowmen? And then can you make the snowmen move with waterbending and chase us? Wouldn't that be fuuun? Huh? Wouldn't it?" asked Ikki as she jumped up and down, much to her older sister's annoyance as Tenzin approached the bison to help his pregnant wife.

"Pema, let me help you. Careful now, careful." said Tenzin holding his wife's hand, but she pushed her away soon after.

"Stop doting on me. I'm not helpless, I'm just pregnant." Pema said looking at her swollen belly.

Katara approached her daughter-in-law and the two shared a hug.

"The baby's strong." began Katara with a hand on Pema's belly. "I see another airbender in your future." said Katara causing an expression of annoyance and weariness to form on the woman's face.

"All I want is one child like me, a nice non-bender, who doesn't blast wind in my face every five seconds." said Pema before turning an annoyed look to the side.

"Mommy, look." began Meelo who was inside a pile of snow and whose two sisters were on either side playing with the snow. Soon after, Meelo popped the pile of snow with airbending as he spun in the air before landing. "I'm a snowbender!" exclaimed Meelo with a smile while Pema still had the same tired and annoyed look with bits of snow on her which she then shook her head off.

"Were Tenzin and his siblings this crazy when they were kids?" asked Pema to Katara.

"Kya and Bumi certainly were, but Tenzin has always been… rather serious." said Katara.

"Mother, please." began Tenzin not wanting to hear stories of his childhood at the moment before turning his gaze to a certain someone. "Korra?" asked Tenzin cheerfully, causing Korra to approach him with a smile as the airbender put his hands on her shoulders. "Look at you, so big and strong. You've grown into quite the young Avatar."

"Master Tenzin, I'm so glad you're here. I can't wait to get started." said Korra eagerly.

"Yes, well…" began Tenzin not knowing what to say, but from the look on his face, it wasn't good.

"You're going to have to tell her sooner or later." said Pema knowing what he had to say.

"But tell me what?" asked Korra with slight concern.

Katara seemed the only one who knew what was going on.

"You're not staying, are you?" asked Katara with slight sadness.

Tenzin let out a sad sigh.

"I'm afraid not. We're only visiting for the night. Then I have to return to Republic City." said Tenzin.

"But… no, you're supposed to move here. You're supposed to teach me." said Korra trying to convince the airbender, but to no avail.

"I'm sorry, Korra. Your airbending training is going to have to wait." said Tenzin with his hands on the Avatar's shoulders to make her understand the situation.

That same evening, Korra, Tenzin and some members of the White Lotus were at a table having dinner.

"So, how long until you're ready to teach me airbending? A week? A month?" asked Korra.

"It could be much longer." said Tenzin.

"I don't understand. Why are you making me wait?" asked Korra.

"I have a responsibility to Republic City. I am one of its leaders, and the situation there is very unstable right now." said Tenzin.

"But you also have a responsibility to teach me. Believe me, I'd be happy to find another airbending master, but you're the only one. We're stuck with each other." said Korra.

"I wish there were another way." said Tenzin.

"Wait, there is! If you can't stay here, then I'll go back to Republic City with you! It's perfect!" said Korra.

"Absolutely not! The city is far too dangerous. Avatar Aang tasked us with keeping you safe while you mastered the four elements." said the leader of the White Lotus.

"I get that, but I don't think keeping me locked up in this compound like a prisoner is what he had in mind." said Korra.

"I know this is difficult to accept, but it's not the right time for you to come to the city." said Tenzin.

"Whatever." said Korra getting up and walking away, leaving the two elders let out a deep sigh at the Avatar's predicament.

The next morning, Katara was saying goodbye to her family who were on the back of the flying bison preparing for takeoff.

"Goodbye, Gran Gran!" said Ikki.

"Oogi, yip-yip!" said Tenzin.

At the command, the flying bison flew high and away, leaving Katara wiping her eyes in sadness.

Meanwhile, Korra was on Naga's back with her resting on the edge of a ledge in the middle of the tundra.

Suddenly, the two turned their heads to the side to see Oogi and his passengers ride past them.

She followed them with her eyes until they were lost on the horizon.

Korra was depressed, she had been training for years in hopes that she could be an Avatar like Aang and those before him were, but alas, she was doomed to stay in that complex for 'safety' and couldn't leave until she learned to bend all the elements, which wouldn't happen for, according to Tenzin, a while.

That was what Korra didn't have.

She couldn't just sit around while the world moved on without her.

The bad guys wouldn't wait for the Avatar to finish her training.

No.

They would attack at any moment and it was the Avatar's duty to protect the people and the balance of the world and that couldn't happen with her there.

So, at that moment, she made a serious decision about what she had to do.

What she had to do, even if that didn't sit well with a lot of people.

Mainly, the White Lotus.

Later, in the dead of night, Korra found herself entering the stables and grabbing Naga's saddle, but as she was setting up the saddle...

"Nice night for an escape, isn't it?" at the new voice, Korra turned her head with an expression of fear and worry as she saw Katara standing in the doorway.

"I have to leave. I have to find my own path as the Avatar." said Korra approaching Katara.

"I know you do." began Katara with a sweet smile, causing Korra to smile too as she saw that her waterbending master agreed with her. "Aang's time has passed. My brother and many of my friends are gone. It's time for you and your generation to take over the responsibility of keeping peace and balance in the world. And I think you're going to be a great Avatar."

"Thank you." said Korra hugging the waterbender.

"Goodbye, Korra." said Katara.

Quite a distance away from the White Lotus complex, a hole formed in the middle of the snow and out through it came Korra and Naga.

After Naga shook the snow off, Korra climbed onto her back, and they proceeded to ride away.

A short time later, Korra was hugging her parents in front of their house.

"Mom, Dad. I'll miss you." said Korra undoing the hug.

"We love you so much." said Senna.

Korra left quickly to prevent the situation from becoming sadder than it was.

She climbed onto Naga's back and rode off across the snowy field.

Soon she arrived at the dock where she snuck inside a ship bound for Republic City.

Normally, she wouldn't do things like that, but in view of the fact that she had no money, there was no other choice.

The next day, on a ship that had just arrived in Republic City, was Korra sleeping next to Naga.

The reason for this was that the two had snuck onto a ship bound for Republic City to avoid attracting attention.

Korra began to open her eyes and when she heard the noise outside she knew they had reached their destination.

"Naga, we're here!" said Korra waking up the polar bear dog.

Soon after, the door to the ship's warehouse opened, allowing the sun's rays in and Korra quickly ducked out of sight as she saw several men enter.

While those men were carrying the packages, Korra, who was on Naga's back, took advantage of that to run out of the place.

"Thanks for the ride!" said Korra to a worker as she exited the ship, startling the handlers. Soon after, Korra stopped so she could gaze at the huge city before her eyes. "Wow, look at this place. I've never seen so many Satomobiles!" said Korra before focusing her gaze in awe on the statue of the former Avatar. She then turned her gaze to a nearby island. "Air Temple Island. That's where Tenzin lives. You ready for a little swim, girl?" asked Korra to her mount.

But then, Naga began to sniff something in the distance.

"Okay, okay! Food first, then air temple!" said Korra before Naga started walking in another direction.

Naga continued walking and sniffing the air until she approached a person wearing a hooded cloak, thus covering her face.

That person was none other than Ahsoka Tano.

Shortly after she arrived on that planet, the first thing she wanted to do was to gather information, but then, she ran into a man who was frightened by her appearance.

Ahsoka wasn't offended, she simply understood that that planet hadn't seen anything different like her or any alien creature she had met during her time in the Order.

In light of that, she had no choice but to obtain a hooded cloak with which to cover her body and, more importantly, her head, as her montral and tail-heads stood out quite a bit from her.

Gathering information, she discovered that in that world there were special people known as benders, capable of controlling one of the four elements.

Needless to say, Ahsoka was impressed when she saw some of the benders in action.

Ahsoka didn't know much about most of the planets she had heard of or been to, but she would remember a planet where people possessed such powers.

That gave her to understand that that hole must have taken her far, far away from where she was, taking her to a place in the Unknown Regions, where not many had been and where almost everything was unexplored.

She also learned that there were currently four nations, three of them based on water, earth and fire, since apparently the nation that was based on air was wiped out during a war and the fourth was from a city founded so that benders and non-benders from all over the world could live in harmony.

The most impressive thing she had learned was that there was one person who could bend all four elements.

The Avatar, a being who had been in existence for many years, who reincarnated each time he died.

She would certainly like to meet the actual Avatar, but for the time being, the first thing she had to do was to find a way to survive in this world, as she didn't exactly have the right money to be able to buy anything and when she was hungry, she had to search through the wildlife for natural food.

It was then that Ahsoka made a decision and set out on a journey to the capital of the United Republic, Republic City and who knows, maybe there she would meet the Avatar.

In the same way as Korra, she snuck onto a ship and when she arrived at the port, she quickly escaped without attracting attention and upon arriving in that area she stood contemplating the views of the city, the statue and the island.

When she saw the statue of Aang, she couldn't help but remember when she helped those children get their crystals for their lightsabers and when they rescued her from Hondo and his gang.

She felt sad that she hadn't been able to say goodbye to them in person and wished she had since they would surely be worried about her.

It was then that Naga's muzzle touched her, startling her a little.

"Naga! Don't do that!" began Korra tugging on her companion's reins to pull her back. "I'm so sorry. Sometimes she tends to go off on her own."

"Oh, that's okay. I think what your friend smelled was this." said Ahsoka before pulling out an apple.

Naga stared at the apple with desire.

"Here. You can have it." said Ahsoka handing the apple to the polar bear dog, who prepared to eat it while Ahsoka petted it.

"I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you later." said Korra.

"No need. Really." said Ahsoka with a smile.

"I haven't introduced myself. I'm Korra." said Korra introducing herself.

"Ahsoka Tano." said Ahsoka introducing herself.

"Ahsoka? That's a weird name." said Korra.

"Let's just say I come from somewhere far away." said Ahsoka.

"So is this your first time here?" asked Korra.

"Yes, I just got here and I can say it's the same with you." said Ahsoka.

"Yes, it is, I intend to see someone, but it seems that Naga has other plans." began Korra petting Naga. "If you want, you can come with us, since we are both newbies in this city."

At first, she wanted to refuse, as the experience with Barriss left her very touched and she wasn't sure if she could ever trust people again, but there was something about the girl about the polar bear dog that made her feel differently.

She didn't know what it was, but she felt it was special and trustworthy.

"I guess I wouldn't mind." said Ahsoka with a shrug.

Later, the three of them were walking through the streets.

"Hey, why exactly did you come to town?" asked Korra.

"Just to visit. At the moment, I don't plan to do anything else." said Ahsoka.

That's when Naga began to smell something in the air and broke into a run.

"Whoa! Naga, stop!" said Korra trying to control her animal companion.

"Hey, wait for me!" said Ahsoka chasing after the polar bear dog.

They were both running through the city until Naga started to go slowly and crouched down to follow the trail until she came to a food stand.

As soon as she saw what they were serving, Naga started panting with her tongue lolling out, wanting to taste the food.

"Naga, wait." said Korra making Naga groan in sadness.

Korra got off of her intending to go buy something until…

"Wait a minute. do you happen to have any money on you?" asked Ahsoka.

That made Korra's eyes widen in horror.

"Uh… Maybe not." began Korra with a nervous smile. "And you?"

"I'm sorry, but the money I have isn't valid in this place." said Ahsoka.

Hearing that, Naga let out a groan of sadness that she had run out of food.

"Don't worry, girl. The city's huge. I bet we could find a place to rustle up something to eat." said Korra.

"Yeah, it's not the end of the world either." said Ahsoka as the three of them walked away.

Later, Korra was standing on the bank of a river, warming 3 fish strung on a stick with her firebending while Naga was rummaging in the river for more fish and Ahsoka standing behind her with her arms crossed and watching the scene with an arched eyebrow.

They happened to be in a huge park in the middle of the city.

"You know this is pathetic, right? And possibly illegal." said Ahsoka.

"So what do you want me to do? I'm hungry. Desperate situations, desperate measures." said Korra before warming the fish on a stick she was holding a bit more and then blew on it a bit to cool it down.

"I can't argue against that logic." said Ahsoka understanding the phrase, as she fought many battles.

Suddenly, next to her, through some bushes, a strange man in dirty clothes peeked out.

They both noticed the presence of the wanderer and Korra was a bit startled by it while Ahsoka looked at him with confusion.

"Uh, say, think I can I get one of them tasty-smelling fishies?" asked Gommu who looked like a wanderer.

"Oh, uh, yeah, sure." said Korra agreeing to share.

Gommu walked over to her, picked up a stick with a fish strung on it and started eating it.

"So, do you… live in that bush?" asked Ahsoka curiously.

"Yes, presently that is what I do call home. Took me a while to procure a bush that beauteous. This park is quite popular with all the vagabonds." said Gommu.

"So there are a lot of you out here? I thought everyone in this city was 'living it up'." said Korra.

"Did you really think that?" asked Ahsoka.

"Well... yes." said Korra starting to feel embarrassed to have such a childish thought.

Gommu chuckled at what the Avatar said.

"Hey, you've got a lot to learn, newcomer. Welcome to Republic City." said Gommu.

Korra showed a look of disappointment and confusion as she saw that the city wasn't what she had first imagined.

It was then that the sound of a whistle reached everyone's ears.

The two girls turned their heads to the side to see a guard near where they stood.

"Hey, you! Stop! You can't fish here!" said a guard running towards them.

"You best skedaddle!" said Gommu before turning back to his bush.

With a hiss, Korra called to Naga and she jumped on her back to flee the scene with Ahsoka at her side.

The guard tried to chase after them, but tired and stopped to catch his breath.

Behind him Gommu could be seen peeking out from his bush to say goodbye.

Soon after, Korra and Ahsoka were strolling through the park when suddenly they heard a sound that caught their attention and they approached the source to see a table in front of a poster of a masked man and, on the table, was a man speaking through a megaphone.

"Are you tired of living under the tyranny of benders? Then join the Equalists! For too long, the bending elite of this city have forced non-benders to live as lower-class citizens. Join Amon, and together we will tear down the bending establishment." said the protester.

"What are you talking about? Bending is the coolest thing in the world." said Korra in defense.

"Oh yeah? Let me guess, you and your friend are benders?" asked the protester.

"Well, she…" began Korra looking for a moment at Ahsoka, who gave her a shake of her head. "She's not, but I am."

"Then I bet you'd just love to knock me off this platform with some waterbending, huh?" asked the protester trying to turn the conversation in his favor.

"I'm seriously thinking about it." said Korra crossing her arms.

"Korra, it would be best to ignore it." said Ahsoka.

"This is what's wrong with this city! Benders like this girl only use their power to oppress us!" said the protester, getting the people who were listening to him to complain about them.

"What? I'm not oppressing anyone! You're... you're oppressing yourselves!" said Korra trying to excuse herself.

"That didn't even make sense." said the protester as they walked away from the scene.

As they walked away, Ahsoka turned her head to look at the demonstration, specifically, the image of the masked man.

"I have a bad feeling about this." said Ahsoka before continuing on her way.

Later, Korra and Ahsoka were walking alongside Naga through the streets of the city.

"Do you feel like going to see that person already?" asked Ahsoka remembering why Korra came to the city.

"Yes. I can't waste my time. I just hope he doesn't get mad. Very much." said Korra hoping that Tenzin wouldn't get angry when she showed up at his door suddenly.

"Do you know how to get there?" asked Ahsoka.

Korra looked around to try to figure out her location.

"No, but I can ask." began Korra before noticing a couple of people nearby, so she approached them. "Excuse me, I think I'm lost. How do I get to Air Temple Island from here?"

"Just head down this street." began an older lady when suddenly, across the corner, a red satomobile appeared. "You should get moving, young lady. It isn't safe." said the older lady running away in fright, much to the confusion of the Avatar and the togruta.

The red satomobile stopped and out of it came three men who approached a man who was cleaning a phonograph.

"Mr. Chung, please tell me that you have my money, or else I can't guarantee I can protect your fine establishment." said one of the men wearing a hat, who looked like the leader, while another man behind him created a flame from his palm to emphasize what his boss was saying, much to the horror of the man with the phonograph.

Ahsoka could easily see that this was a mobster extorting money from someone.

She might not be a Jedi anymore, or she might want to keep a low profile, but she wasn't going to let them mess with anyone.

In fact, she started to direct her hands towards her lightsabers with the intention of using them in case things went too far.

"I'm sorry, business has been slow. Please, take one of my phonographs." said Mr. Chung approaching them to offer the phonograph he was cleaning earlier.

The firebender lifted his leg with a small flame on the sole of his foot and as he lowered his leg he struck the flame against the phonograph, setting it on fire in the process and scaring the master of the store so badly that he fell down sitting on the floor.

"My friend here is not a music lover. Give me the money, or else..." began the leader with the typical mobster threat when…

"Or else what, hoodlum?" the three men turned around to see Korra standing behind them with a cocky grin and hands on her hips.

Ahsoka was slightly surprised that Korra came to Mr. Chang's defense.

She wondered, since she said she was a bender, what kind of skills she had.

The three mobsters looked at each other in confusion before bursting out laughing.

"Since you're obviously fresh off the boat, let me explain a couple things. You're in Triple Threat Triad territory, and we're about to put you, in the hospital." said the leader.

"You're the only ones who are gonna need a hospital and, for your sake…" began Korra before slamming her fist into her palm. "I hope there's one nearby."

"Who do you think you are?" asked the leader starting to get pissed off.

"Why don't you come and find out?" asked Korra with a toothy grin and a narrowed gaze as she cracked her knuckles.

The leader's eye twitched a little before he reached into his jacket and tossed a water bullet that Korra caught with her hand before tossing it back to its owner, hitting the head and freezing it, encasing it in a block of ice.

The leader staggered a bit towards her before Korra kicked him aside, sending him crashing into the red satomobile, causing the ice on the head to shatter, and freeing him, albeit unconscious.

The other two men were shocked to see their boss knocked down.

The larger of them, an earthbender, turned to Korra with a scowl and lunged toward her with a shout as he prepared to make a bending attack, but Korra was quicker and raised a stone platform beneath him that launched him upward.

"What just happened?" asked the older woman from before.

"Did she just earthbend?" asked the clothesline man next to her, who was very surprised.

The earthbender fell onto a rope which pushed him against a sign, then he fell onto a tent pergola which threw him against a hanging cloth which he tried to grab onto, but the cloth broke, and he ended up falling onto a box full of fruit before falling to the ground toppled over.

The last of them, horrified to see the larger one knocked down easily, screamed in desperation as he launched a flare at Korra, but she leapt out of the fire undoing the attack in the process before grabbing her opponent's hands with her own.

"Can she waterbend, earthbend and firebend, too?" asked the older lady.

"Could she be?" asked the man beginning to understand who this girl was.

Ahsoka was amazed, for if she could bend so many elements, then it could only be about one person in that whole world and she couldn't believe she had her by her side all the time.

With her hands still gripping the evil man's hands, Korra began to turn, taking the man with her and with a groan of effort, threw the man into the interior of a watch store, breaking the glass of the display window in the process.

Korra approached the downed man with a small chuckle between her teeth.

"Got an idea about who I am now, chumps?" asked Korra arrogantly.

Suddenly, the two heard an engine noise and turned to the side before turning away from the red satomobile that arrived on the scene quickly.

"Come on!" said the earthbender as the red satomobile passed by the watch store just as the firebender got up, so he started running to catch up with them.

Finally, the earthbender, erected a platform beneath him, throwing him into the back of the vehicle as he continued on his way.

Korra was about to go after them when suddenly Ahsoka reached out her hand towards them and used the Force to stop the vehicle, causing the wheels to screech as they continued to roll on the ground.

Korra was surprised, as she hadn't expected the person who had accompanied her since arriving in the city to have any ability, though she didn't know exactly what it was.

It looked like metalbending, but for some reason, she felt it wasn't that.

With a sweep of her arm, Ahsoka launched the satomobile towards another store, destroying it in the process.

"Agh. I should have sent it somewhere else." said Ahsoka realizing she had caused some wreckage.

Near them, the older woman and the clothesline were in shock at what they had just seen.

"What the hell was that?" asked the older woman in shock.

Korra, Ahsoka and Naga arrived at the crash site to see the three mobsters fall from the toppled vehicle.

Before anyone could say anything, they began to hear sirens.

They looked both ways before looking up to see a blimp above them.

"Police! Freeze where you are!" said a voice from the blimp.

Ahsoka wasn't happy about the police arriving, as she wanted at all times to keep a low profile.

The doors of the blimp opened and from them, three men in uniform jumped out.

In mid-fall, they threw, from their sleeves, metal ropes that dug into the walls of the street and then used them to slow their fall, allowing them to land softly.

"Cool! Metalbenders!" said Korra.

Ahsoka was slightly surprised, as she had heard of metalbenders, even a city dedicated to the metalbending, but she hadn't expected the city police to have such control ability.

When a fourth metalbender landed altogether, they retracted the metal ropes back to their original place.

When a fourth metalbender landed all the way down, they retracted the metal ropes back to their original place.

"We caught the bad guys for you, officers." said Korra pointing to the three men staggering and groaning out of the tent.

"Arrest them!" said Sergeant Saikhan as the other three policemen took a few steps forward and then threw metal ropes at the three evil men that wrapped around each of them, trapping them as they fell to the ground.

As the cops led the mobsters away, Saikhan approached the two girls and pointed his finger at them.

"You're under arrest, too." said the cop to the Avatar's shock as the togruta patted her face in frustration.

"What do you mean we're under arrest? Those are the bad guys over there! They were smashing up a shop!" said Korra explaining the situation.

"From the looks of it, you and your friend smashed up a lot more than that." said Saikhan referring to the stores they had trashed.

Ahsoka was tempted to use the Jedi Mind Trick to get him to let them go but before she could do anything, Saikhan threw a metal rope at them, although Korra jumped aside and grabbed the rope.

"Wait, you… you can't arrest us! Let me explain!" said Korra.

"You will, but at the headquarters." said Saikhan before retracting his metal rope and trying to hit Korra with it, but Korra flipped backwards with a somersault.

He then tried to grab Ahsoka with his rope, but she quickly moved to dodge him.

Before Saikhan attacked again, Naga hit him from behind with her body, pushing him to the ground.

The other policemen, seeing the situation, moved in for the attack.

Korra and Ahsoka jumped on Naga and began to flee.

Quickly, Naga turned to the side, allowing Korra to kick a policeman who jumped towards them before Naga continued to flee with her passengers on top of her.

One policeman threw his metal rope which became entangled in a cable.

Pulling it back, he lunged upwards and slid down a cable as he chased them.

He tried to hit them with two metal ropes, but Naga dodged in time, causing them to hit the ground.

Soon after, Naga turned a corner in time to dodge another pair of metal ropes, though they slipped a bit in the process before continuing their escape.

Seeing that the cop was about to catch up to them, Ahsoka reached out her hand towards him and, with a Force push, sent him flying backwards, which Korra noticed.

Suddenly, as they were crossing a bridge, a policeman jumped from a rooftop and threw metal ropes that got tangled in Korra's top ponytail, making her groan in pain from the pull, but quickly raised the river water and froze it to form a wall of ice, against which the policeman crashed, causing Korra to break free of the rope.

Korra and Ahsoka glanced back to see the policeman who had crashed into the ice wall slide to the ground.

After that, they turned their attention to the front.

Naga ran up some stairs until he reached a bridge, forcing a satomobile to stop in the process.

Naga continued running as her two passengers looked to the side to see two policemen sliding down the wires.

With a sweep of her arm, Ahsoka launched another Force push that knocked both cops off the wires.

Despite this, Korra pulled Naga's reins to the side, causing her to run to the edge of the bridge and jump off it just as a train passed underneath.

Fortunately, they were able to land perfectly and both let out a sigh of relief that they managed to escape before turning their gaze towards Air Temple Island.

"Korra, we have company." said Ahsoka pointing upwards, where they both saw a police airship flying overhead.

Korra tugged on Naga's reins and the polar bear dog started running down the train and jumped towards another building, but no sooner had she landed on the roof than several metal ropes wrapped around Naga's paws and lifted her into the air.

Before Korra or Ahsoka could try anything, a pair of metal ropes wrapped around them to restrain their arms.

They tried to free themselves from their bonds for a while until, at last, they gave up, realizing that they had been captured.

At the Republic City police station, where there was a statue of Toph Beifong, the founder of the force and former chief of police, Korra and Ahsoka were handcuffed at a table in an interrogation room.

Korra was nervous, as, on her first day in Republic City she had been arrested and all for doing something good, but what made her nervous was that it was very likely that Tenzin would find out about this and would be very angry with her.

He would most likely send her back to the South Pole compound immediately.

Meanwhile, Ahsoka was frustrated.

For days, she had been trying to stay out of the way, to stay out of the spotlight, to stay out of sight of the police, but that was all thrown to the wind when she met a certain someone.

Speaking of that person.

"Were you planning at some point to tell me who you really were?" asked Ahsoka.

"Hey, I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but I didn't want to draw attention to myself." said Korra.

"And fighting some mob thugs and running from the police didn't draw attention?" asked Ahsoka.

"What did you want me to do? Just sit around? You would have done the same thing, right?" asked Korra.

Ahsoka said nothing, for, in truth, she had been about to act if Korra had not made the first move.

Soon after, the doors to the room opened and an older gray-haired woman with a couple of scars on her right cheek walked in with a filing cabinet in her hand and, from her expression, she didn't look happy at all.

"Let's see. Multiple counts of destruction of private and city property, not to mention evading arrest…" began the older woman as she walked behind them before slamming the filing cabinet down on the table, startling them in the process. "You're in a whole mess of trouble, young ladies."

"But there were some thugs threatening a helpless shopkeeper, and I had it…" began Korra trying to explain again.

"Can it! You should have called the police and stayed out of the way." said the older woman.

"Listen, why don't you release us and we'll forget the whole thing?" asked Ahsoka waving her hand to use the Jedi Mind Trick.

"When the flying bison have scales." said Lin.

Ahsoka was slightly surprised, for if she was unaffected by that mind trick, she must have been very strong in mind and will.

"But I couldn't just sit by and do nothing. It's my duty to help people. See, I'm the Avatar." said Korra revealing her status.

"Oh, I am well aware of who you are. And your Avatar title might impress some people, but not me." said the older woman with her arms crossed.

"All right, fine. Then I want to talk to whoever's in charge." said Korra.

"You already are. Aren't you, Chief Beifong?" asked Ahsoka immediately recognizing the older woman.

"I see you did your share of research." said Lin sitting down in the chair across from her and receiving a shrug from the togruta.

"Wait, Beifong? Lin Beifong? You're Toph's daughter!" said Korra surprised at the revelation.

"What of it?" asked Lin.

"Well then, why are you treating me like a criminal? Avatar Aang and your mother were friends. They saved the world together." said Korra remembering the stories of the previous Avatar.

"That's ancient history. And it's got diddly-squat to do with the mess you're in right now. You can't just waltz in here and dole out vigilante justice like you own the place!" began Lin before turning his gaze to the togruta. "And by the way, take off that hood. If I'm going to talk to you, let it be by looking you in the eyes."

Ahsoka became a little nervous, as she didn't know how they would react to seeing her face.

"Eh... I don't think it's advisable. My appearance is… not normal." said Ahsoka.

"Oh, please. I've seen everything in this room. What happens to your head won't surprise me at all." said Lin.

Truth be told, Korra was curious too, since she hadn't been able to see her face in the time they had been together.

"All right. If that's what you want." said Ahsoka.

Lin released Ahsoka's handcuffs so she could get her hands to the hood.

Slowly the hood came off and Korra and Lin's eyes widened in shock as Ahsoka's face was completely orange with some white parts and she had a sort of crown on her head that ended in two points upwards and three tails downwards.

Ahsoka was unaffected as she saw the surprised faces of the others.

"I told you my appearance wasn't normal." said Ahsoka.

"Who… What are you?" asked Korra totally surprised, as she had never seen someone like her before.

Just then a part of the wall opened up to show another policeman behind, which made Ahsoka cover her head again quickly.

"Chief, Councilman Tenzin is here." reported the policeman.

"Let him in." said Lin rising from her chair, having put aside her surprise.

Then, the wall opened from side to side, allowing Tenzin to enter the room and from the look on his face, he wasn't happy to see her.

"Tenzin, sorry… I got a little sidetracked on my way to see you." said Korra trying to sound innocent, but to no avail.

With a deep inhale to reduce his annoyance, Tenzin turned to see Lin with a smile.

"Lin, you are looking radiant as usual." said Tenzin greeting an old friend.

"Cut the garbage, Tenzin. Why is the Avatar in Republic City? I thought you were supposed to be moving down to the South Pole to train her." said Lin.

"My relocation has been delayed." said Tenzin before shooting an angry and disappointed look at Korra, who lowered her head at that. "The Avatar, on the other hand, will be heading back to the South Pole immediately, where she will stay put."

"But...!" began Korra trying to explain but was interrupted and ignored.

"If you would be so kind as to drop the charges against Korra, I will take full responsibility for today's regrettable events and cover all the damages." said Tenzin.

Lin glanced over her shoulder at Korra before turning her gaze back to the airbender.

"And the other one? She was with her when all that happened." said Lin pointing a thumb towards the togruta.

Tenzin looked at her for a few moments before turning his gaze back to his old friend.

"Yes, the charges against her too." said Tenzin.

Lin stared at him for a few seconds before letting out a small sigh.

"Fine." began Lin using her bending ability to espouse Korra without even looking. "Get her out of my city, but the other one stays here." said Lin before turning her head towards her. "I'd like to ask her a few questions first."

"I completely understand, chief." said Ahsoka.

Given the situation, she had no choice but to confess everything to her if it would get her out of going to jail.

Besides, it would be nice to have at least one ally in this world.

"Always a pleasure, Lin. Let's go, Korra." said Tenzin walking out of the room with Korra behind him as she rubbed her wrists.

Lin threw the Avatar a two-fingered 'I'm watching you' gesture, a gesture that Korra made to her, much to the police chief's confusion.

Korra looked at Ahsoka for a moment with concern.

She didn't want to leave her alone with Lin, especially after she showed her face, but Ahsoka sent her a hand gesture as a sign that she would be fine and to go on about her business.

Understanding the message, Korra followed Tenzin out of the room before the door automatically closed.

Once they were both alone, Lin turned around and sat down across from Ahsoka with a very serious look on her face.

"Very well, miss. You can start talking now." said Lin wanting to know who exactly was the person or being in front of her.

Ahsoka took off her hood in light of the fact that she no longer needed to hide her face in front of her.

"Where do you want me to start?" asked Ahsoka.

Later, Korra and Tenzin were in a waiting room, where Korra tried to convince the airbender not to take her back to the complex she escaped from.

"Tenzin, please, don't send me back home." said Korra.

"You blatantly disobeyed my wishes and the orders of the White Lotus." said Tenzin.

"Katara agreed with me that I should come. She said my destiny is in Republic City." said Korra.

"Don't bring my mother into this!" exclaimed Tenzin with an angry red face.

"Look, I can't wait any longer to finish my training. Being cooped up and hidden away from the world isn't helping me become a better Avatar. I saw a lot of the city today, and it's totally out of whack. I understand now why you need to stay. Republic City does need you. But it needs me, too." said Korra.

"You… ah…" began Tenzin unable to find a counter argument to Korra's.

Before he could say anything else…

"Is this your polar bear dog, miss?" said a guard with Naga at his side as she held the leash.

Just as they were leaving the police headquarters, Korra noticed a certain person walking around.

"Ahsoka!" shouted Korra running towards the camouflaged togruta who stopped and turned to look at her. "What happened in there? She didn't bother you, did she?" asked Korra.

"No. I just told her a little about me and then she said something about it all giving her headaches the next morning so she let me go." said Ahsoka.

"I'm glad." began Korra with a smile seeing that there was no problem. "Hey, where are you staying? You said you got into town today."

"Well, I don't have the right money for this place so I was planning on finding a tree to sleep in. Wouldn't be the first time." said Ahsoka with a shrug.

Korra felt a little sorry for her.

She didn't know exactly where she was coming from, but she couldn't let her sleep on the street after she had to reveal her face because of her, since she was the one who dragged her into all that, so she felt responsible.

That's when she had an idea.

"Wait a minute, I have an idea. Come with me." began Korra grabbing the togruta's hand and pulling her to Tenzin's side. "Tenzin, this is Ahsoka, a girl I met shortly after I arrived. Ahsoka, this is Tenzin."

"Avatar Aang's son. It is a pleasure to meet you." said Ahsoka bowing in respect.

"Thank you. I'm sorry she dragged you into all this." said Tenzin.

"Oh, don't worry. She isn't the first person to lead me to her crazy things." said Ahsoka remembering the things she experienced with her master.

"Listen, Tenzin, Ahsoka has no place to stay and I had thought that…" began Korra before flashing him a nervous smile. "She could stay on the island for the time being."

"What? My house isn't a hotel!" said Tenzin with annoyance.

"He's right, Korra. I appreciate the gesture, but I'm capable of being on my own." said Ahsoka.

"No. I have to make it up to you for what I did and I think this is the only way." said Korra seriously.

Needless to say, Tenzin was slightly surprised that Korra was showing responsibility for anything.

"Besides…" began Korra looking at Tenzin with a smile. "Katara told me that Air Nomads have a habit of taking in people who are in trouble, isn't that right?"

Tenzin looked slightly irritated that they would use the traditions of his people against him.

In view of the situation, he ended up letting out a sigh of defeat.

"All right, you can stay. But it will only be until you find somewhere else to be, understood?" asked Tenzin.

"That's fine with me. I'm not one to stay in one place for long." said Ahsoka.

Korra smiled at her accomplishment.

It may not have kept her from having to go to the South Pole, but at least she had managed to keep her new friend from spending the night on the streets.

Later, the three of them were on a boat bound for Air Temple Island, where Ahsoka was going to stay for a while as Korra would catch the boat that would take her back to the White Lotus complex, where she would stay for a LONG time.

Tenzin was looking at the statue of his father, thinking about what Korra had said and what he should do.

Meanwhile, Korra was contemplating the receding city.

"Is something troubling you?" startled Korra as she turned to look at Ahsoka.

"Ahsoka, you scared me." said Korra.

"Hehe. I'm sorry, but seriously, what's wrong with you?" asked Ahsoka.

"Well, I've been for years in a complex at the South Pole, training to be the Avatar and when I only had airbending training left, they tell me I have to wait" said Korra.

"Wait, you still haven't airbending?" asked Ahsoka in surprise.

"No. Tenzin is the only airbender there is and, according to him, he has a lot of business to deal with so he couldn't stay there to train me. And you know what the worst thing is? When I suggested going here for training in person, they tell me I can't go, that the city is too dangerous, and of course it is, because I'm not here to help you. How do they expect me to be the Avatar protecting the world if they won't let me be? So I had no choice but to drop everything and now they're going to send me back." said Korra crossing her arms.

Ahsoka was surprised at the Avatar's story.

In fact, she couldn't help but feel that their lives were almost similar.

"Heh. I know how you feel." said Ahsoka with a smile.

"You do?" asked Korra surprised to hear that.

"Where I come from, I spent most of my childhood in a temple training and training. I was living there until… well, certain events caused me to give it all up." said Ahsoka.

"Really? That was before you got here?" asked Korra.

"Yes and if I've learned anything in all that time it's that if you show what you're capable of, others will understand that you're ready. I've had to go through that many times." said Ahsoka.

Korra smiled, feeling better for the togruta's words.

"Thank you, Ahsoka. I'd really like to stay here, and not just for the training. I'm curious about you, I mean, hearing from you." said Korra.

"Maybe, if they let you stay, I'll tell you." said Ahsoka crossing her arms.

Finally, after a while of waiting, they arrived at the island, where, on the other side of the harbor, was a larger ship, with three White Lotus guards waiting at the entrance.

Korra, saddened by the situation, made her way to the ship.

Just then the three noticed Tenzin's children flying in their gliders towards them and landing on the ground shortly after.

"Korra!" shouted the three children going to hug Korra.

"Are you coming to live with us on the island?" asked Ikki before Korra knelt down to their full height.

"No, I'm sorry, Ikki. I have to go home now." said Korra.

"Oh..." groaned the children in disappointment.

Tenzin stood with his children watching as Korra and Naga headed for the ship.

But when they were halfway there…

"Wait. I have done my best to guide Republic City toward the dream my father had for it, but you're right. It has fallen out of balance since he passed. I thought I should put off your training in order to uphold his legacy, but you are his legacy. You may stay and train airbending here with me. Republic City needs its Avatar once again." said Tenzin bringing a big smile to the Avatar's face.

"Yes! Thank you! You're the best!" said Korra with great joy.

The young airbenders began to cheer in joy and happiness.

Korra was so happy that she brought Ahsoka, Tenzin and their children in a group hug and Naga rubbed her head on Korra's back, much to everyone's amusement, except for Tenzin who wasn't sure how it would all turn out.

Soon after, she broke the embrace.

"You see, Korra? I told you they would understand." said Ahsoka with a smile that the Avatar returned.

"Hey, who are you?" asked Meelo realizing the presence of the cloaked togruta.

"This is Ahsoka Tano. I met her in the city and since she has nowhere to go, she's going to stay here for a while." said Korra.

"Really? How did you meet Korra? How long are you planning to stay here exactly? Why is your face covered?" asked Ikki quickly.

"Yeah, I wonder that too." said Jinora.

Ahsoka didn't know whether to reveal to more people her true appearance and turned her gaze to Korra.

"Don't worry. They are trustworthy." said Korra with a smile.

Trust.

That was something Ahsoka had lost recently, but as she looked at the curious glances of the young airbenders, she couldn't help but look at the young apprentices instead for a moment, which brought a smile to her face.

Besides, if she was going to stay there for a few days, they would find out sooner or later.

Having made up her mind, Ahsoka brought her hands to her hood and took it off, revealing her face to everyone, who gasped in shock.

"What's wrong? Do I have something on my face?" asked Ahsoka with a smile.

"Yes. All over." said Ikki in surprise.

"Wow. She's very pretty." said Meelo with a smitten smile.

"What exactly are you?" asked Jinora.

"I wonder too." said Tenzin.

"Well, since I'm going to stay here for a while, it would be a good idea for me to tell you about it, but first we should go inside. It will be more comfortable." said Ahsoka.

"Good idea." said Korra with a smile, excited to find out more about her new friend.

After arriving at the house, Ahsoka met Pema, Tenzin's pregnant wife, who was a little surprised when she saw Ahsoka for the first time, but calmed down when she saw that she was a good person and she, like everyone else, was very curious about her and her story.

Right now, they were all at a table, with Tenzin and Korra's family on one side while Ahsoka was on the other, as she would be the storyteller.

"So where exactly did you come from? I don't think anyone from any of the nations looks the way you do." said Korra.

"That's because I'm not from any nation." said Ahsoka.

"What do you mean?" asked Tenzin.

In response, Ahsoka pulled a small device out of her pocket.

It turns out that shortly after starting her journey, she decided to return to the place where her ship exploded to try to find something useful.

Unfortunately, the only thing she could get were the memory files of the astromech android, but that was enough for her.

She placed the device on the table and displayed a holographic map of several planets and stars, which surprised everyone.

"This is a map of the galaxy I come from." said Ahsoka.

"Galaxy?" asked Korra in confusion.

"It's what you would call space. That is, beyond the sky and the sun." said Ahsoka pointing upward.

"You say you came from beyond the stars? That's amazing!" exclaimed Jinora excitedly.

"Did you see stars up close? Are they beautiful?" asked Ikki excitedly.

"Yes, they are." said Ahsoka with a smile.

"If you are from… space, what are you doing on our planet?" asked Tenzin.

"I was in the middle of a trip when a wormhole sucked me in. The next thing I remember, my ship crashed somewhere in the Earth Kingdom and exploded. Luckily, I was able to escape in time." said Ahsoka.

"Does that mean you're stuck here?" asked Pema feeling sorry for the togruta.

"It's all right. I'm in no hurry to get back. Besides, I was on a trip, so I could consider this a part of it." said Ahsoka with positivity.

"What can you tell us about the planet you lived on?" asked Korra.

"Well, I lived for many years on the planet Coruscant. A planet much like Republic City, but much, much more modern." said Ahsoka.

"How modern?" asked Jinora with curiosity and excitement.

Pressing the device, the hologram changed to a three-dimensional image of a certain ship.

"For example, we had starships of different shapes that allowed us to travel around the planet or the galaxy. What you are seeing now is a Star Destroyer, which is the size of an island and can hold hundreds of people and weaponry." said Ahsoka.

"Fascinating. I've never seen anything like this." said Tenzin in awe of space technology.

"I want one of those!" exclaimed Meelo.

She then clicked the device to display a three-dimensional image of the droid known as C3-PO.

"Then there are the droids. They are basically metal beings that perform the functions set out in your program. They come in many types. Protocol, astromechanical, medical, combat…" said Ahsoka.

"Wow. Your technology is mind-blowing." began Korra with a toothy grin. "And you lived on that planet?"

"More specifically in the Jedi Temple." said Ahsoka.

"Jedi?" asked Korra curiously.

"For many generations, the Jedi were the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy through the use of the Force." said Ahsoka.

"The Force?" asked Jinora.

"The Force is an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds and permeates us. It unites the galaxy. Those who were sensitive to the Force could access it through midichlorians." said Ahsoka causing the table to float to the amazement of the onlookers.

"Amazing! It's like elemental bending." said Korra.

In fact, she began to understand how she was able to do what she did earlier when they were running from the cops.

"Not only that. Those sensitive to the Force can also use it to move more nimbly, detect impending attacks and even influence people's minds." said Ahsoka.

"Fascinating." said Tenzin.

"Infusing minds? What do you mean?" asked Meelo with an arched eyebrow.

It was then that Ahsoka passed her hand in front of her face.

"You will stand up and clap twice." said Ahsoka.

"I will stand up and clap twice." began Meelo before standing up and clapping twice, to everyone's surprise. "Huh? What?"

"It's also known as a Jedi Mind Trick." said Ahsoka.

"Wow. And does it work on anyone? Can you teach it to me too?" asked Ikki.

"No. It only works on the weak minded." said Ahsoka.

"Hey!" said Meelo very offended.

"So, anyone who can use the Force is a Jedi?" asked Korra curiously.

"No. To be a Jedi, one must join the Jedi Order, but you usually start the moment they detect the amount of midichlorians in your blood at birth. For example, I didn't join the Jedi Order until I was three, when a Jedi Master found me and took me to Coruscant." said Ahsoka.

"Wait, you were taken away from your planet when you were so little? What happened to your parents? Or your family?" asked Pema.

"Honestly, I haven't seen them since the day I left. I don't even know if they are still alive." said Ahsoka.

"Oh, how sorry I am." said Korra feeling very sorry for the togruta.

When they found out she was the Avatar at age four, she was living with her parents until, for some reason unknown to herself, she was sent to the complex where she was able to be visited by her parents from time to time while Ahsoka never saw them again.

"Don't worry. In the Order I was able to meet people I could consider family." said Ahsoka with a smile. "Except for her." thought Ahsoka as she remembered the one person in the whole place she hated more than anyone else.

Pema and Korra were happy to know that even though she was separated from her family, she was able to find a new one.

"How exactly does that Jedi Order work?" asked Tenzin curiously.

"As I said, they first locate those who are Force sensitive. Once they bring them to the Jedi Temple, they start as youngling until they get their own kyber crystal." said Ahsoka.

"Kyber crystal? What do they need it for?" asked Ikki.

"For this." said Ahsoka pulling out her lightsaber and turning it on, showing its green colored luminous blade to everyone who were surprised and amazed by it.

"Wow. It's like a sword that glows." said Jinora in amazement.

"What is this?" asked Korra as Ahsoka turned off her lightsaber and put it back away.

"It's a lightsaber. The personal weapon of the Jedi. The design depends on the Jedi's own fighting style as well as the color of the sword." said Ahsoka.

"Sounds amazing." said Korra mentally wanting a sword of her own.

"Once you get a lightsaber, you pass a series of tests and training until you reach the rank of padawan at the same time you are assigned a master. Then, by passing further tests, you move on to the rank of Jedi Knight and finally, there is the title of Jedi Master." said Ahsoka.

"Interesting, and what rank are you at?" asked Tenzin.

"Well, I'm currently a Padawan, but I think I stopped being one as soon as I left the Order." said Ahsoka, as she was sure that, when she left the Order, she left every title she earned in her time there.

"What? You left the Jedi Order? Why?" asked Korra, since, to her, the Jedi Order was mind-blowing and she could find no reason for anyone to leave.

"Let's just say it was… personal matters." said Ahsoka.

"What do you mean?" asked Ikki.

"Can we not talk about this?" asked Ahsoka, as she wasn't ready to talk about those events.

"But..." started Ikki before her mother put a hand on her shoulder.

"Ikki, if she doesn't want to talk, we don't have to force her to tell us." said Pema, receiving a nod from her middle daughter.

Korra was also curious about what made Ahsoka leave the place where she grew up and trained, but Pema was right, she couldn't force her to tell something that seemed to be hard for her to tell.

Maybe, in time, she would eventually open up and decide to tell.

She just had to be patient.

"I'm surprised you left the Order after you told us you were in it for a long time." said Tenzin.

"I know, but I wanted to get away from everything. From the Order, from the Jedi… and from the war." said Ahsoka.

"War?" they all asked in unison.

"Yes, war. Currently, the galaxy I come from is in a war that has been going on for years, known as the Clone Wars. A war between the Republic, which the Jedi are fighting and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, or as they are more often known, the Separatists." said Ahsoka.

"That's horrible." said Pema.

"Wait, if the Jedi were fighting in the war, does that mean you…?" asked Korra.

"Yes, I participated in the war too. I even received the rank of commander." said Ahsoka.

"What? Commander? But you're the same age as me!" said Korra in surprise.

"How did they allow a girl to participate in a war?" asked Tenzin.

"Didn't you tell us that Grandpa, Gran Gran, Uncle Sokka, Aunt Suki, Toph and Lord Zuko participated in the 100 Years War at a younger age than her?" asked Jinora.

"Touché." said Tenzin seeing that he had forgotten that detail.

"It was something that was decided between the Jedi Order and the Republic. The masters got the rank of general and the padawans got the rank of commander." said Ahsoka.

"Why was it called the Clone Wars?" asked Jinora.

"Because, while the Separatists used combat droids, the Republic used clones." said Ahsoka.

"What are clones?" asked Korra.

Pressing a button on the device, Ahsoka displayed a holographic image of several men in uniform who had the exact same face.

"Clones are beings biologically created from the same DNA to be obedient and efficient during war through a Republic commission. Think of it as the same person, but multiplied many times over." said Ahsoka.

"Wow. It must be very hard to tell them apart." said Ikki.

"So, they're not born? They're created solely for battle? That's a little cruel." said Korra.

"Maybe it is, but almost everyone considered them people of their own. They even give themselves names. In fact, some of the clones were friends of mine." said Ahsoka with a smile remembering the times she spent with Rex and other clones.

"I don't understand. If they were up against those droids, why did the war last so long? They are just metal beings, it should be very easy to defeat them." said Meelo.

"That's not the way things are, Meelo. Those droids may be smarter and more cunning than you can imagine. They took out many soldiers in combat." said Ahsoka.

"True, Meelo. Never underestimate your opponent." said Tenzin.

"Besides, the Separatists had the help of the Sith." said Ahsoka.

"The Sith?" asked Korra.

For some reason, that word made her feel nervous.

"The Force has two sides, the Bright Side and the Dark Side. While the Jedi used the Bright Side, the Sith used the Dark Side. They are the opposite of the Jedi and their mission is to kill them and dominate the galaxy." said Ahsoka.

"That's horrible." said Korra.

To her, the Jedi sounded like the White Lotus and the Avatar who sought the balance of the world, but those Sith sounded like those who sought the imbalance of the world, that is, the opposite of the White Lotus and the Avatar.

"In the Jedi Order we were always told to resist the Dark Side, because once you enter, there is no turning back. To do that, a Jedi code was followed to keep us focused and in balance. We are taught not to give in to feelings of anger or fear, as that led us to the Dark Side. They were forbidden to form bonds, be it marriage, love or family," Ahsoka explained.

"Without any emotion or bond? How can you live like that?" asked Jinora.

"Wouldn't that make you like those droids?" asked Korra.

"Being a Jedi isn't as simple as it seems and not everyone agrees to the Jedi code and sometimes, they often end up on the Dark Side. However, that didn't make us not feel compassion, as for us, life is very important." said Ahsoka.

"Still, there should be more ways to avoid the Dark Side other than blocking your feelings." commented Korra.

"She's right. Some say emotions can hold us back, but others say they give us strength." said Tenzin.

"It's possible. Like I said, not everyone agrees with the Jedi code." said Ahsoka.

"Is there anything else we should know?" asked Jinora.

"I think that's all." said Ahsoka having finished telling everything in detail.

"One more question. Do you think those Separatists could find this planet?" asked Tenzin seriously.

If those Separatists were as bad as Ahsoka told, then, if they decided to attack that planet, they would probably have a hard time fighting off the droids and those Sith.

"Probably not. I came to this planet through a wormhole and it's almost impossible for that to happen again. Besides, this sector is far away from any cartographic map we have at the moment, so they will probably be unaware of its existence. Unless they decide to explore this sector, but I doubt they have any intention of traveling through an unknown sector." said Ahsoka.

That brought relief to everyone.

That world had already suffered a war that lasted 100 years and they weren't interested in getting into another one.

Especially one where people with highly advanced technology are fighting.

"Well then, until you find a way to be able to travel to space or return home, you can stay as long as you need." said Pema.

"I appreciate it." said Ahsoka.

"Great, we have an alien living with us!" said Ikki with her arms raised.

"Uh… I'd appreciate it if you'd keep my identity a secret." said Ahsoka with a nervous smile.

"She's right. Imagine what people would do if they found out we had a visitor from beyond the stars. They might want to capture her or lock her up." said Korra.

"Ha. For the record, I'm not easy to catch." said Ahsoka crossing her arms.

"But it's true. I could cause chaos among the people. We'll keep this between us for now." said Tenzin.

"Well, the truth is, Chief Beifong knows, but she told me she wouldn't tell anyone." said Ahsoka.

"That's a relief." said Korra.

After the long talk, they all went to their respective rooms to sleep.

Ahsoka was in the room she had been given, looking at the city through the window or more specifically, the night sky.

Even though it had only been a few days, she missed all those she left behind. Anakin, Padme, Obi Wan, Windu, Plo Kon, Yoda, the young younglings, Rex and more.

But she needed this.

She needed to be away from all the chaos of the Jedi Order and the Republic in order to organize her thoughts and feelings.

Her master was telling her that the Force guided the way and if the Force took her to that planet, there had to be a reason.

So, for the time being, she would try to enjoy her time on that planet until she could find a way to continue her journey through space or, perhaps, until someone found her.

With a small smile, she went to bed and let sleep catch up with her.

The next day, in front of Republic City's city hall, several people, including journalists, gathered for the main topic of conversation, the arrival of the Avatar.

Korra stood behind a podium full of microphones, looking at all the people who had come while being bombarded by the photographers' flashbulbs.

On one side, there was Tenzin and Ahsoka, wearing their cloaks and hoods to camouflage their appearance, and on the other side was Naga and Lin.

Korra was a little nervous, but then, looking to the side, she saw Ahsoka giving her a thumbs up with a smile, which managed to calm her nerves.

Korra cleared her throat a little as she approached the mikes.

"I'm Korra, your new Avatar." said Korra introducing herself to the audience and listeners as the crowd cheered.

"Does this mean you've moved to Republic City?" asked a reporter.

"Were you trying to send a message to the Triads yesterday?" asked another journalist.

"Will you be fighting crime or the Anti-bending Revolution, or both?" asked another journalist.

"Will you be working with Chief Beifong and the police?" asked another journalist.

Needless to say, Lin looked very annoyed by that question, as the last thing she wanted was a teenage girl, or the Avatar, in her police force.

"Yes, I am definitely here to stay, but honestly I… I don't exactly have a plan yet. See, I'm still in training, but look, all I know is Avatar Aang meant for this city to be the center of peace and balance in the world, and I believe we can make his dream a reality. I look forward to serving you!" said Korra as the photographers began taking more pictures.

Inside some building somewhere in the city, several people were listening to Korra's speech on the radio.

"I'm so happy to be here. Thank you, Republic City!" exclaimed Korra from the other side of the broadcast.

"All right, that's all the questions." said Tenzin from the radio before someone turned it off.

"Amon, how do you want to handle this?" asked a guy in a suit, glasses and mustache to a man who was holding his hands behind his back while his back was turned to him.

"So, the Avatar has arrived early. It looks like we'll have to accelerate our plans." said Amon as he turned his head, allowing us to see that he was wearing a mask covering his face.

What kind of adventures will await this special duo?

And another question you all will surely ask after reading this chapter, will there be more Star Wars elements in this story?
