"Oh…er…just go find him. Just tell your brothers that he went with Professor Rebus," said Kingsley. "But he is on our side."
Ginny narrowed her eyes. "Do you know for sure?"
"Dumbledore trusts him," said Kingsley. "Now GO!"
Ginny, Luna, Neville and Draco all exchanged glances, before Luna, Ginny and Neville darted off in separate directions. Luna headed for Tonks; she thought that she'd seen a flash of pink hair over by the Forbidden Forest. Casting a shield charm around herself, she dove into the battle, weaving between duelers and throwing out the occasional trip jinx or Impedimenta. She located the Auror and signaled to Tonks, who immediately caught the message and followed Luna back up towards Hogwarts.
"Luna, right?" asked Tonks, after setting up a Muffliato and a shield charm. "Ginny's told me all about you," she said.
"Has she? She's a good friend," said Luna. "Anyway, we've come up with an idea for where they are. We think they're holding Harry, Ron, Hermione -"
"Hang on. They got captured, too?" said Tonks, worried.
"Yes, they did. I don't know how!" said Luna. "But we think they're at the same place as Professor Lupin and Mr. Black - Malfoy Manor."
"Oh, alright then. But what if we can't get in? I know there are some old mansions that can only be opened by family members, and I don't think dear old Auntie Cissa's give me permission."
"That's why we're taking Draco," explained Luna.
"Malfoy? As in my cousin, Draco Malfoy?" said Tonks incredulously.
"Yes. He's on our side now."
"Well…er…alright. So, where do I have to go?"
"Right. Meet Kingsley near the fountain that Professor Lupin and Mr. Black crashed into."
Tonks snorted. "Sure. Yeah, that's a good name for it. Thanks, Luna!" she darted off towards the courtyard.
Neville somehow found his way into the middle of the battle. "Professor Moody!"
Moody turned swiftly. "What is it, boy?"
"Kingsley wants you to meet him in the courtyard with the fountain - the one that Professor Lupin and Sirius Black crashed into - AAARGH!" Neville had been hit with a very powerful Knockback jinx that caused him to fly back several feet, hit a nearby tree and fall over onto his face.
"Laddie, are you alright?" Moody walked forward, leaning on his staff.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm okay. You should go - I think they have a possible location for where Harry, Ron, Hermione, Professor Lupin and Sirius Black are being held," Neville panted. "I'll be fine!"
"Potter got captured?" Moody shook his head. "When we get them back, we will be talking about analyzing the environment for potential attackers. You could get sent to St. Mungo's at your birthday party if you're not careful enough. CONSTANT VIGILANCE!"
"Er-right," said Neville. Moody had already disappeared. "Huh," said Neville to himself. He got up and limped back into the battle, making sure to conjure a shield this time. He thought he could see Luna somewhere nearby in the midst of several house-elves, who had all come out to join the fight, and went over to help her.
Ginny ran towards her older brothers. "Fred! George!"
"Ginny! You're alright!" Fred hugged her. "You gave us all quite a scare! Where were you?"
"Well, the forest, then a cage, and then underground with Malfoy and Luna and Neville - well, it's not important. We have to go find Snape and Professor Rebus, well, I mean, Bellatrix Lestrange - Kingsley said you'd know where they were?"
The twins looked at Lee. "Er…about that. Wait. Snape? LESTRANGE?" he asked.
Ginny looked at him. "Well, Kingsley said that he would've gone with Professor Rebus."
"Where does Bellatrix Lestrange come in, then?" asked Fred, confused.
"Oh, er - she's actually Professor Rebus," said Ginny.
"WHAT?" all three boys exclaimed at the same time.
"Yeah, and she and Snape are supposed to be in the same place," said Ginny."
"Why, though?" asked George.
"Why, where is Professor Rebus? I mean, Lestrange," said Ginny, narrowing her eyes.
"Er, about that. The dungeons?" said Fred.
"In a net?" said George.
"With pink hair, hopefully," added Lee.
"No," said Ginny, nodding to herself and breathing deeply. "I will NOT question that, I will not question that."
"Hey!" said Fred. "All we were told was to set up a trap in the dungeons…"
"Okay, so we have to go find them, right?" said George.
"Yeah," said Ginny. She set off towards the castle, jogging, Fred, George and Lee following behind her.
"Work faster!" said Snape impatiently.
"Why don't you have a go?" asked Bella. She was working at the knots at the very top of the net. Severus had used Levicorpus, and she was now hanging upside down in the air inside the already floating net. The ankle from which she was hoisted was tangled in some netting already, and her arms were seriously getting tired.
"You're the one with the long nails!" Snape shot back.
"Not for long," said Bellatrix grumpily. "I'm never, ever, ever doing this again. Like, ever. Please tell me you've set a cushioning charm?"
"No."
"I hate you, Snape."
"The feelings are reciprocated, I assure you."
"Aaaaaargh!" she yelled in frustration, tearing the net, which had nearly been un-knotted. They crashed down onto the floor of the dungeons corridor.
"This. Was. Why. I. Asked. You. To. Do. The. Charm!" said Bella angrily. Despite her initial elevation due to Snape's Levicorpus (it had stopped working after Snape had started falling), she'd somehow ended up under him, and boy, was he heavy!
"Kindly remove your boots from my face," said Snape.
"The FEELINGS ARE RECIPROCATED!" she yelled in his face.
Snape sighed. "You got me there. But I suggest we get out of here before Dumbledore sends his…army down here to 'rescue' us."
"Right," said Bella, her brain set on the task again. She crawled towards the hole in the net and squeezed through. She straightened up on the other side. "Coming, Sevvie?"
Snape struggled through as well, and, casting shield charms this time, just in case there were any more surprises for them, they looked at each other, and ran as fast as they could out of the dungeons. Bellatrix got there first.
"Where now?" she asked. "You work here."
"So did you."
"You worked here longer."
"The library?" Snape suggested. "There won't be anyone there. Not even Pince."
"Alright. The library," she said.
"It'll be quicker if we fly," said Snape.
"Fly? Do you have a broomstick?"
"For you, yes. For me, no. You see, Bella, the Dark Lord sees enough importance in me to teach me his most prized skill. Flying unsupported."
Bellatrix stared at him, outraged. "You? The Dark Lord taught you? I am his most loyal, his most trusted-"
"Then why didn't he teach you?" asked Snape, sneering.
"There are other skills-"
"Do you want to get to the library or not?" said Snape, tossing a miniaturized broomstick to Bella. "Engorgio!"
Bella sniffed and accepted the broomstick and mounted it, racing Snape towards the library.
Meanwhile, four disappointed teenagers stared at a ripped open net with no one in it.
"They're gone!" said Lee sadly.
A/N: Things are going to start falling into place now - all of our characters are in different places at this time. Let's recap. Snape and Bella are hiding in the library. Ginny, Lee, Fred and George are in the dungeons. Luna and Neville are fighting (with most of the rest of Dumbledore's Army). Harry, Ron, Hermione, Remus and Sirius are all *somewhere*. But you probably know where. And Moody, Tonks, Kingsley and Draco are on their way to Malfoy Manor.
