Shane tried to get out of the grip the two men had on his arms. He opened his mouth to call out for help.
"You let out one sound and your brother and his bitch will die. Understood?" Hunter Hearst Helmsley growled low in Shane's ear. The threat was enough, the lad's mouth closed shut.
Matt Cardona, Damien Priest, Sheamus and Randy Orton went out a hidden side door. Randy knew about it from the map. It was a fire escape route for the workers in the Louver.
Chris and Adam had no idea what had happened to Shane. Randy though it better if they knew after the fact, just in case something did go wrong. Randy also didn't need to be worried about the couple doing something stupid to interfere, especially Adam.
Orton and his men were on the plaza, right near the area the coaches, carriages and riding horses waited as their passengers and riders spent time in the vast museum.
They observed Shane being taken to an enclosed coach. Hunter had rented it from a low stable, that didn't take very good care of their horses. It was cheap, that was all that mattered. Little did Hunter know, the man driving was one of Bret Hart's agents.
"We let them get into the carriage. The driver will go to our designated area, then we have them for actual kidnapping. Duke Hart wants it all as legally locked down as possible. They are not going to get away from the law." Orton spoke firmly.
Inside the Louver, Adam felt a sudden chill go up his spine...something was wrong, but what? He looked at Chris, the man seemed as calm as anything.
Chris could see something was on his husband's mind. "Still worried about Shane, love?"
Adam sighed, "Something is wrong, but I don't know what. Chris, I know it hasn't been an hour, but lets find Shane. I would feel better." He looked at Chris in earnest.
Chris pulled out his pocket watch. "It's only been forty minutes. But yes, we can go find them. They probably sent up to look at that ancient Roman display that Helmsley fellow was excited about. Come, love." He took Adam by the hand, as he did, a feeling of dread went up his own spine. He prayed Orton and Cardona had things well in hand.
Helmsley and Regal pushed Shane into the carriage "Get in there, and remember what I said. Keep your mouth shut or your precious Chris and Adam will die."
Wade Barrett started to get into the carriage, Regal shut the door against him. "No. We will take it from here. I suggest you make your way back to London, Sasha will reward you, I am sure. We will be in Austria with her father, hopefully by nightfall. Now run Professor, before you're found and have to answer a lot of very unpleasant questions. Driver, the train station, and hurry!" Regal called out to the driver.
Wade was shocked, but he knew he could not afford to argue with Regal or Helmsley. He'd done what he'd been ordered to do, kidnap Shane McMahon. Barrett looked around the plaza, he didn't see anything out of place. He raised the collar of the cloak he wore and walked to a crowd of people, and vanished like a puff of smoke. Little did Wade Barrett know, he was in the constant eyesight of another of Duke Hart's agents. He was going to be allowed to return to England. Now they needed him so they could catch Lady Sasha Banks.
As the driver slowly backed up the coach, Shane spoke. "Why? Who are you and why Austria?"
Hunter chuckled. "To finish the training that Professor Morley started. You will be an excellent teacher of the correct way of thinking, not this progressive bollocks your parents follow. You will soon learn, that only certain people deserve to be in this world. We will crush the others under our feet. You will also learn that people like that Jimmy have no place in the world." Hunter didn't care what he said, soon they would be safe in Austria.
"No! You can't mean that! I know how wrong Professor Morley was. Every person walking on the earth has value. I am not going to Austria!" Shane tried to reach over and open the door to jump out. Regal grabbed him by the waist and held him in a bear-like grip. He was not about to let go.
Meanwhile, inside the great museum, Adam was in a panic "They aren't here, Christopher. Where are they?" They were on the third floor, near the ancient Roman exhibit.
"Darling, calm down. We are supposed to meet them at the Winged Victory. Knowing Shane, he went on for a bit. Maybe they went for more tea. If they aren't at the statue, then we can worry. Remember, Orton is with him." Chris spoke with a smile. He hoped Shane was alright, but he couldn't let Adam see the worry.
Adam nodded, but was still worried. "Alright. It does make sense, I suppose. Come on, Shane is probably worried about us." He managed a small laugh.
Together the newlyweds went down to the Winged Victory statue. There was no sign of Shane, Barrett, Helmsley or Regal.
"Alright, we won't panic yet. Let's go down and check the café." Chris spoke before Adam could start. He led Adam down the stairs and hoped they would find Shane.
When they got downstairs, there was a bit of a ruckus at the main doors. Men hired as security for the Louver stood in front of the doors, one spoke to the crowd.
He spoke in French first. "Ladies and gentlemen, there is a situation on the Plaza. There is no need for alarm, but we insist you remain inside until the situation is resolved. You are in no danger. You will soon be served a complimentary tea. Please be patient. We ask that you please continue to enjoy what our museum has to offer." The man then gave the same speech in Spanish, Italian and lastly English.
The crow dissipated. Some were angry, but most took it in stride. What else could they do?
Chris stopped a couple who spoke English to each other. "Please do pardon me. May I ask, do you know what happened on the Plaza?"
The man spoke. "I am not at all sure, but several men are standing around a carriage so it can't leave. I am sorry, but that is all I know, Milord."
Chris smiled. "Ah, my ring. Yes, Lord Christopher McMahon and my husband, Lord Adam. Thank you very much for answering my question. Have a pleasant day." He gave the couple another nod. The nod was returned, as the couple headed toward the café.
"Chris, it's Shane! I know it's Shane! I've had a horrible feeling ever since we let him go with Professor Barrett. Come on, we have to get Shane out of there, now!" Adam was a mix of fear, worry and anger because Chris had not listened to him about leaving Shane with Barrett and the two strangers.
Chris sighed. "You might be right. Lets go talk to the security man. Then… later we will have a talk. I promise." He knew he would have to tell Adam the truth. But first, Shane needed to be safe.
The only people at the doors were the two guards. Chris walked up to them. One of the guards spoke, in French. "Sorry, Sir. You can't leave. We are…"
Chris raised his hand and spoke in English. "I know, sir. My little brother could be in that carriage. Please, I need to know what you know… please." He gave the men an earnest look that mirrored the one Adam had given him earlier.
The two men looked at one another. "Are you Lords Christopher and Adam McMahon?" The guard who spoke arched his brow.
Chris nodded. "Yes we are. My brother is Shane. A man named Orton was with him."
"I'm sorry, your Lordship. Yes, it is your brother. Apparently, two men are trying to forcefully take him. The carriage is surrounded, but they refuse to let your brother go. Mister Orton said to keep you in here. He said to assure you, your brother will get back to you. We have a private office where you can wait if you prefer." He spoke in a kind tone of voice with a soft smile to match.
Adam clung to Chris. "Chris, we can't just leave Shane out there. We have to get to him! Randy is just a Footman. We were foolish to think Shane would be safe. We never should have left him alone with those three men." He was so upset he trembled in his shoes.
"Please, you must realize, he is very upset. Yes, take us to that private office, please." Chris held Adam close as he spoke.
"Right away, your Lordships. Do you require a Physician?" The taller of the two guards asked as he led the couple to the office they used.
"No, thank you. My husband will be alright. Perhaps some coffee with sugar." Chris responded as they walked.
The man unlocked the office door. "Make yourselves comfortable. I shall return shortly with coffee." He shut the door and left the couple alone.
There was a small three seat leather sofa in the office along with a desk, two chairs and a shelf for papers. Adam immediately fell onto the sofa. The tears rolled down his cheeks, he felt so guilty.
Chris sat next to Adam and pulled him into his arms. "It will be alright, love. Look, once we have our coffee, I will explain. I believe with all my heart, Shane will be alright, however, I am just as scared as you are." He held Adam a bit closer.
The guard returned with a tray that had a full pot of coffee over a warming candle, two cups, a container of sugar and a small jug of milk. "If you need anything, let me know, your Lordships." He gave a nod and left before Chris could even thank him.
Adam sat up, swiped his eyes and sipped the cup of sweet coffee Chris had prepared for him. "It's very sweet, but good." Adam took another sip.
"The sugar will help prevent shock. Alright, this will take while. It starts with Pru… see…" Chris began to explain, and started with how Randy came to the house, and who he really was.
Out on the plaza the stand off had begun when the carriage driver stopped. The carriage was suddenly surrounded by twenty, extremely large men. Damien Priest and Sheamus held fast to the horses and kept them calm as the driver jumped down and joined his colleagues that surrounded the vehicle.
Randy Orton was the one that spoke to Helmsley and Regal. He also knew, Barrett was already on a train to Calais.
"Helmsley, this is not up for any negotiation. You and Regal will be charged with attempted kidnapping. You will be taken to London to face the High Court. Let Shane come out." Orton spoke firmly but remained calm. Getting excited never led to a good outcome.
Helmsley stuck his head partially out of the coach's small window. "No, you are going to let us go, and be on our way. If not, Shane's life is on the line." Hunter showed the rather large, deadly looking knife he held.
Cardona went on alert as he stood next to Randy. That was the knife of a professional soldier. That made him angry. "Being a traitor to the Crown? When did you serve, Helmsley?" There was nothing worse than a good soldier turned bad. It was a disgrace to crown and country.
Helmsley hid the knife again. "None of your damn business. Now, get out of the way so we can leave."
Randy was glad Cardona had spoken, perhaps a new charge could be laid. It would be up to the Courts. "We are not moving. There is only one way out. Hand Shane over, and we take you in. That's it. There is no choice. You won't harm Shane, he is too valuable alive." He knew Lord Banks had ordered no harm was to be done to Shane.
Helmsley closed the window. "What do you think, William? He is right, they won't move. We can't hurt Shane. What will Lord Banks say? We promised to not let him down. You know what he did to Morley."
"What did he do to Professor Morley?" Shane asked as he worked to keep the fear out of his voice.
Regal sneered. "Had him cut into pieces and thrown into the sea." He was blunt.
William looked at Hunter. "You know I would almost rather be in prison in England that have to face Lord Banks and tell him we failed." He gave a deep sigh.
"I don't know, William. I have a feeling Banks could get to us in prison too." Hunter chewed his lip in thought.
"Make it part of letting me go. Ask for protection from this Lord Banks person." Shane spoke with a shrug. He wanted to keep the two men calm, so he could get out...alive.
In the private office in the Louver, Chris had almost finished telling Adam everything.
"...then, lastly, I found out from father, that Uncle Bret is one of the highest ranked on the Board of the British Secret Service, and Randy is one his best agents. I had no idea what was going to happen today. All I do know is, Orton wanted us here today. I guess they found out Barrett was in Paris. So while I am terrified for Shane, I know Randy will keep him safe. I am also sure that Barrett has orders not to hurt Shane. I am sorry I kept this from you. I didn't want you hurt." He looked at Adam with worry filled eyes. Was he bout to be divorced after less than two weeks of marriage?
Adam could only stare at his husband. So many emotions raced through his head, anger was only one of them. "I can't… I don't…" He couldn't form a clear thought to voice.
Chris sighed and hung his head. "I know you're furious with me for keeping it secret. Until we found out father knew, only Mark, Randy and myself knew. Mark also thought it best to not tell anyone, not just you. We didn't want Barrett feeling… well, threatened or uncomfortable. You or anyone else wouldn't have done it on purpose. I love you, Adam. I never meant to lie or hurt you. I won't blame you if you want a divorce." He sighed even deeper.
Adam again stared at Chris. "No, I do not want a divorce, don't be silly. Yes, I am mad...well, more like upset now. I suppose I can understand it was safer for Shane. I would have done something idiotic if I thought Barrett was a threat. Just give me time to take it all in. It is a lot, especially about father, Uncle Bret and Randal. I am glad John Morrison didn't really break his leg. It's just so much." He looked at Chris again, his anger was gone, but he still had a lot to digest.
Chris smiled at Adam. "Thank you for not wanting a divorce. It scared me that we would lose Melanie. I do know it is a lot. I still don't understand a lot of it. I am sure Randy will explain… when he is allowed. I love you, my kitten." He leaned over and gave Adam a soft kiss. He was thankful that his husband responded and didn't push him away.
When the kiss broke, Adam smiled. "I love you, my lion. Nothing will ever change that… even if we ever do have an argument. All I wish for now is for Shane to walk through that door and be safe."
"Wish granted. I am here, safe and sound." Shane walked through the door as if he'd only gone off to use the water closet. He was all smiles.
"Oh Shane!" Adam got up and pulled Shane into his arms and hugged him like a momma bear. Chris jumped up and wrapped his arms around both men.
They drug Shane to the sofa and sat down. "Are you alright, Shane? Truth, please." Chris asked, his arm still around his little brother's waist.
"Yes, I am fine. Orton said not to say anything till he speaks to you. I was scared, but I just knew I would be safe. Orton is a good man." Shane gave a shrug.
"Alright, we won't question you I am just glad you are safe. I have come to the conclusion, that Paris is not for me. Chris, I want to go home. I want to be with the ones we love and go see our children." Adam spoke firmly, he was ready to go home.
"Shane?" Chris looked at his brother. He really didn't want to take Shane's fun, but Adam was right.
"I agree. Let's go home." Shane too spoke firmly.
"Then we will. I need a day to change our reservations. We might not get seats over the weekend. If we do have to wait till Monday, we will stay at the Chateaux." Chris was glad and he would do all he could to get to London on Sunday.
Chris continued. "Shane, I am sorry about everything. One day, I hope we all understand." Chris gave yet another sigh.
"Me too, brother. You know what they told me? That people like Jimmy are worthless to the world. It made me so angry. I will prove them wrong. I will show them that Jimmy and others like Elizabeth can run the world." Shane spoke with a huff of determination.
"I am sure you will, Shane. I know your brother and I will do everything we can to see that you become a teacher. If that is what you want." Adam spoke with the same amount of determination.
"Absolutely. Well, at least you got to see the best parts of Paris." Chris smiled, it would be good to get home.
Chris pulled out his pocket watch. "Not to be pushy, but I am more than ready to leave."
"Me too." Adam and Shane chorused at the same time. It made the three laugh, something that was nice to do for a change.
"Chris, I could use some tea." Shane looked at his brother, he was hungry as well.
Chris got up and went to the door and opened it. The security guard stood there. "Is there a way we could get some tea and perhaps a bun?" He asked, brow arched.
The man frowned. "I am sorry, your Lordship. Our tea shop closed half an hour ago. I could fetch something from a nearby café if you wish."
Chris shook his head "Thank you, but no. Hopefully we won't be here much longer." He went back in and closed the door. "There is a bit of coffee left." Chris nodded to the nearly empty pot.
"Ugh, no. I will wait." Shane scoffed, coffee was not his thing.
Adam filled his empty coffee cup with the milk he and Chris hadn't used. "Here, drink this." He handed the cup to Shane. He smiled as Shane gulped it down.
Matt Cardona opened the door. "Orton said we could leave now. He will come to the Chateaux later. The carriage is out front." He smiled, things had worked out quite well.
Chris held on to Shane and Adam as they walked down the hall. He thanked the guard as they passed him in the hallway.
Soon they were on their way back to Chateaux Mayfield. Shane sat safely between Chris and Adam. He still wasn't exactly sure what had happened and Shane wasn't sure if he wanted to know.
Cardona spoke as he drove. "They let me call the Chateaux. A good, hot early supper will be served on the patio as soon as you are ready. Roast pheasant." He drove on and encouraged the horses to trot faster.
"My favorite. How wonderful of Miss Tamina." Shane spoke happily as his tummy rumbled. It made him laugh when Chris and Adam's tummies rumbled in agreement.
Just before they turned up the road that led to Chateaux Mayfield, Randal Orton came at a gallop to catch up.
"The Officer said to return the horse next time you go to Paris, or call and they will come retrieve him." Randal's voice was breathy as he spoke to Cardona.
Cardona nodded. "Will do." He wanted to say things, but had been told not to, so he didn't.
Chris spoke. "Join us for dinner, Randal. You are not a servant any more. I want to know what happened." He gave Orton a look as the man rode next to the carriage
"Thank you, your Lordship. It will be my honor to join you. I will tell you as much as I can. I take it Lord Adam now knows?" Randy asked as they turned into the driveway of the Chateaux.
Chris nodded. "Yes. He deserved to know."
Nothing more could be said, the carriage had stopped. Mizanin warmly welcomed them back.
"Baths are being drawn. Dinner on the patio, unless you would prefer the dining room." Mike spoke as he took hats, gloves and light travel cloaks.
"The patio will be wonderful, thank you. Set a place for Mister Orton as well, please." Chris spoke.
Mizanin gave a nod. "Of course, your Lordship." He hung the cloaks and put the hats and gloves on a shelf.
Maryse came down the stairs. "Baths are ready, your Lordships, Master Shane, Mister Orton." She gave a curtsy and continued down to the servant's hall.
The newlyweds made sure Shane was alright. Adam set out Shane's dark gray suit like a fussy parent. Shane hugged them both, then hurried off to have his bath.
Chris and Adam bathed together, and for the most part, behaved. They did share some heated kisses with promises of more later. Now, was not the time.
Randy leaned back in the hot water of the bath and inhaled and exhaled deeply several times. His eyes tightly closed as he thanked God for keeping Shane safe. It could have gone badly...very badly.
An hour later, the three McMahon's and Randal Orton enjoyed their meal of roast pheasant, mashed potatoes with pheasant gravy, roast carrots and a fresh tomato salad. There were also fresh baked dinner rolls. They ate several bites before any talking began.
After Chris took a small sip of his wine, he spoke. "So, what happened?" He was tired of waiting and wanted to know...now.
Orton wiped his mouth, sipped his wine, and wiped his mouth again. "Helmsley and Regal are going to be taken to London by a team of the best men. Barrett is probably back on English soil, or soon will be. I will say, Master Shane is why Helmsley and Regal finally gave up. He told them they would be safer in London than facing Lord Banks in Austria. I agreed and guaranteed Banks wouldn't touch them. That was an extremely clever thing to say, Master Shane. If you hadn't, we could still be negotiating with them." He took a sip of water this time.
"Well, they made me mad with what they said about Jimmy. I wanted out of there. One of them said they were more afraid of Banks than going to jail. I just ran with the idea." Shane shrugged and kept eating.
"It was a smart thing to say, Shane. Good job. Now, what did you mean by Barrett is probably back on English soil? Why wasn't he arrested?" Adam asked in a slightly annoyed tone of voice.
"I agree with my husband. Why was he allowed to go free? That means Shane is still in danger." Chris too was a bit annoyed.
Orton could understand their tone. "He was never going to be arrested. That order came from the top. We need Sasha Banks and Barrett is the key to that. He will run straight to her. Don't worry, he will not get anywhere near Shane. He probably won't even come back to the house to collect his things. I will pack them and take them to examined for any possible evidence. We hope that Sasha will put enough fear in him to make him want to talk to us. Have no fear. He will constantly watched, buy two of our agents, Damien Priest and Sheamus. They are both experts in disguise. We have every faith it will work… if Lady Banks doesn't… remove him. We doubt that will happen… you see… um… Barrett keeps Lady Sasha… satisfied." He gave the two adults a wink. "
"I wish I had been told about that part. I would have prepared Adam." Chris was less annoyed, but still a bit remained.
Orton nodded. "I can understand, but I was told not to tell you. I am sorry. It was thought if you knew, you might not have let Shane go along with them. That was the key for this entire plan to work. Lord Adam, I am sorry, but it was thought best not to tell you anything."
Adam chuckled a bit. "Yes, Chris explained. I wasn't happy, but I understood. I understand even more now. I probably would have done something over protective and ruined the plan. I can admit, I do get carried away… sometimes." He took his last bite of food.
"Thank you, Lord Adam. By the way, Lord Christopher I am to stay with you on the trip back when you return to London." Randy too finished his meal.
Chris gave a nod. "Of course. We are going back on Sunday, if I can arrange it tomorrow."
Randy chuckled. "That's when our friends are going. Don't worry. They will be safely locked in a private car, handcuffed to their seats. They will be picked up by arrangement from Duke Hart."
"You know, that makes me feel better. At least we will be safe. Will you still be with us in London, or will you send Cody back?" Adam was curious. Was there still a need for all the...intrigue?
Randy gave a shrug. "I will find out when we arrive back in London. It will be up to Duke Hart, I am sure. We have to make sure Banks hasn't sent more men. So far, Lord Banks has kept London out of things. He wants his daughter safe. That's why they went to Paris to try to get Master Shane. London is the Banks' safe zone." He tried to explain as best he could. It was difficult. There were still things that could not be openly discussed.
Chris understood. "I am sure you are right. I also suspect there is a lot more you can't say, than you can say." He was halted when Maryse and Alexa came in to clear. Mizanin soon entered with desert on a large, covered tray.
Mike set the tray down in the center of the table. Before he lifted the lid, he spoke. "Tamina apologizes, Master Shane. She wanted to make Spotted Dick, but it didn't turn out right. She feels awful. She hopes you will enjoy this instead." He lifted the lid. It was a six layer black and white cake. Three layers of chocolate cake with three layers of white cake in alternating layers. It was covered in delicious looking snow white butter cream frosting.
Shane grinned. "This looks wonderful. Tell Miss Tamina it is my second favorite. I know from Miss judy how hard Spotted Dick is to make."
Mizanin smiled. "Tamina will be happy. Please, enjoy." He cut and served slices of the delicious looking cake. Maryse brought in a fresh pot of coffee and a pot of tea for Shane.
After the servants left, the four men enjoyed their desert and talked about things of interest, and not about the days events.
Adam laughed, and dipped the corner of his napkin in his glass of water. He gently took Shane's chin in hand. "Messy boy." Adam laughed again. Shane had chocolate cake smeared on his cheek.
Shane flushed. "Thank you, mummy. You do know I am almost sixteen." He was outwardly embarrassed, but inwardly he felt loved, cared for and best of all, safe. It was a nice feeling.
Chris laughed. "I can remember poppa Patrick doing the same thing, many times. But I will say, I was younger." he winked at Shane.
Shane looked at Chris. "He was with me today. I could feel him. I just wish I could remember more about him. I love poppa Eric...but…" He let his words fade.
Chris laid a brotherly hand on Shane's arm. "I know, brother. I miss him too. Tell you what, when we get back to London, I will get down the Patterson Photo and Portrait book. I will tell you more of what I can remember. Stephanie will too. Poppa Eric wants you to know Poppa Patrick. I am sure he was with you. He was with me when Adam and I were married. One thing I do know, poppa Patrick loved you, very much." He leaned over and hugged his baby brother.
No one had noticed that Randy had left. He wanted to give the McMahon's their privacy when the family talk began. He went to the sitting room to have a much needed cigarette.
"There you are. We wondered what happened to you, Mister Orton. I came to get a cigarette for Adam and a cigar for myself." Chris spoke as he took a couple of cigarettes and a cigar from their boxes on the table, as well as a box of matches.
Randy smiled at Chris. "I felt you needed some privacy. I am sorry about your poppa. Is Master Shane alright? He has been through a lot today. Don't be alarmed if he has nightmares. I will look after him if he needs it. After all, I was sent to take care of him." He gave Chris a wink.
"I very much appreciate that, Mister Orton. I figured Shane might have nightmares. You take care of him, but call me if it's bad. He is my baby brother you know." Chris returned the wink.
Randy followed Chris back out to the patio. Adam and Shane stood at the far end and looked up at the stars. Shane pointed out the different constellations.
"...and way up there are the Pleiades or the Seven Sisters. The seven daughters of Atlas and Pleione." Shane pointed out the distant cluster of stars.
Chris and Randy joined them. He lit a cigarette for Adam and handed it to him. Chris then lit his cigar. "I love looking at the starts. I wish telescopes weren't so costly." He looked up as he spoke.
Shane chuckled. "Would be a waste of money, brother. There is too much light in London to really see the stars." He spoke with reason.
"Very true, brother. Shane if you need me during the night, please come get me. I won't mind, honestly." Chris spoke softly to his brother.
Adam huffed. "Are you insane, Chris? He is not sleeping in that room alone. He is staying with us. That bed is plenty big enough. We are going to have a McMahon brothers sleep over. End of. No argument. Period." He spoke in the most firm tone of voice Chris had ever heard his husband use.
Chris and Shane laughed. "I guess I can't argue with my dear husband. However, Shane it is up to you. After all, you will be sixteen in January." He gave his brother a wink.
Shane rubbed his chin. "Two things, I get the middle and Adam has to read to me." He gave a firm nod.
It was Adam's turn to laugh. "If that's what you want, then that is what you will have."
Randy added his thoughts. "Guess that means I can sleep with both eyes and ears closed. I will say goodnight. I am rather tired." He gave a nod and left with a chorus of goodnights and another thank you from Shane.
After more stargazing, Chris spoke. "Shane go get your bed things ready and go up to our room. Adam and I will be there shortly." He gave Shane a hug.
"Alright. I know you just want to kiss Adam. Take your time. I will be alright." Shane gae his brother a cheeky grin and a wink.
Adam flushed. "Oh… go upstairs." He tried to hide his embarrassment by looking up at the stars again. Shane hugged Adam and went upstairs to get his things.
"He can be a very wicked boy at times." Adam teased as Chris wrapped him in his arms.
Chris laughed as he kissed Adam's cheek. "That's Dean's influence. Darling, it was sweet of you to be so protective of Shane. It will miss holding you in my arms, but having Shane feel safe and secure is worth it. Just remember, we will have to wear our nightshirts."
Adam rolled his eyes as he turned in Chris' arms to look at his husband. "Nightshirts? Really? Of course we will wear them. Chris, seriously, thank you. I do know he is old enough to be on his own. But that boy has been through so damn much in a week. Being lost, and managing to survive. Now, nearly kidnapped in Paris. I am not ready to just let him go. It is only one night." He leaned in and gave Chris a kiss to show his love.
"I feel the same, kitten. I want him to feel safe and loved. But he was right, I did want to get in some kisses… but… we can't get too…" Chris' words faded as Adam kissed him again, why waste time.
They kissed several times, but managed to keep their cocks under control. When they got up to their room, the couple smiled. Shane was sound asleep in the middle of the bed. They quietly changed into their nightshirts and joined him. They kept Shane safe in the middle.
Back in London, Wade Barrett stood at the entrance of the lane up to the Banks' Estate. He could feel the fear build in his throat. What choice did he have? He could never return to the McMahon house. It was the only time he hoped he could sex away Sasha's wrath. All he could do was his best.
Wade Barrett took a deep breath and walked up the lane. He knew Sasha was home, her bedroom light was on. He sighed, would it be life or death?
