Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Sailor Stars: Rebirth

Act 10: Nothing Can Stand Against our Might

Sora Kazeno

Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Mercury run through the garden, retracing their steps. They circle back once or twice due to Sailor Mercury's computer beeping from various readings. "I'm still picking up some energy signatures but they are faint." She waits for her visor to catch up.

"Maybe the reading would be stronger if we left the garden. It seems like we are just running in circles here." Sailor Jupiter suggests.

Sailor Mercury nods her head, trying to narrow down the information. "It's a good idea." She confirms after looking at the data. "The signal seems to be stronger outside of the garden now. But I'm still finding something faint within the garden too."

Sailor Mars frowns. This is not what she was expecting. "I can feel an evil presence here but I can't narrow it down either." She sighs and looks at their surroundings again. "How about if we try those locations again and see if it can point us in the right direction. If not we can take the main path and head out of the garden."

Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter nod their heads in agreement. The three walk in silence, listening for anything out of the ordinary and to the faint beeps from Sailor Mercury's computer.

After several minutes of nothing, Sailor Jupiter breaks the silence. "You really know your way around here Rei-chan." She smiles slightly, "I've only been here a few times and I usually ended up getting turned around."

"Grandpa took me here constantly to pray to the deities, special festivities, and even some training." She lowers her voice slightly. "I even secretly helped out here a few times when they needed assistance. I wanted to know what it was like to work at a large shrine for some of the festivals. The one for the Empress is always very crowded."

Sailor Mercury pauses when her computer beeps. "The reading is a little stronger over here." She stares at the screen for a few moments trying to determination the location of the source. She walks a little faster and the time between the beeps decreases, a sign she is getting closer.

Sailor Mars' eyes narrow. "I can feel an evil presence here."

"Venus!" Sailor Moon shouts when she sees Sailor Venus' red signature bow become undone right in front of her eyes. Sailor Venus falls over and is breathing heavily. She had rushed in front of an attack meant for Sailor Moon.

"Minako-chan, you can't keep doing things like his, you're going to get hurt!" Sailor Moon exclaims as she lowers herself to the ground next to her injured friend. She is relieved to see she is breathing. "I can't watch you die," she pleads quietly with the senshi.

"I'm okay Usagi-chan," Sailor Venus responds as she gradually sits back up. She turns to Sailor Moon to flash a victory sign. "I'm going to protect you; we have to defeat him to stop Queen Beryl." She looks at Sailor Moon solemnly to emphasize the next few words, "no matter what."

Sailor Moon can feel the tears building up in her eyes. "It's not worth it if you get injured," she pleads with Sailor Venus to be careful.

Sailor Venus shakes her head side to side. "You're the Princess and future Queen. I have to protect you." She declares as she stands back up.

Jadeite used the time to gather energy for another large attack and unleashes it in the direction of Sailor Venus and Sailor Moon.

Tuxedo Kamen throws several roses to try to break some up some of the energy. He uses his cane to deflect the rest of the attack. He miscalculates a small part of the energy and it clips his shoulder. He winces slightly at the sharp pain near the shoulder blade. He plans to hide this injury from Sailor Moon as much as he can otherwise she will worry too much.

"This is all you have?" Jadeite asks them in disbelief. He expected a fiercer battle. "You'll never be able to stop Queen Beryl at this rate." There is a pause, "in fact you're not even worthy of my time." He summons several youma and leaves.

Sailor Pluto leans against her staff and looks over at Sailor Saturn. Saturn is also out of breath and things do not look promising for them. They are on the verge of exhaustion but the battle is far from over. She takes a few more breaths, thankful they finished clearing out the youma moments before. They need these moments to catch their breath before they push themselves to move forward. They can't stop until this over. Her lips part slightly at the thought. When will they know it is truly over?

"If we don't find something soon, we should move on," Sailor Saturn suggests. "I have a bad feeling the longer we all stay separated, the more likely the prophecy Sailor Mars and the Starlights witnessed will come true."

Sailor Pluto nods her head in agreement. She looks over the bay to Tokyo, where the other senshi are fighting. "I'm not sure where else we need to search here. Perhaps it is time we go back."

"You've done well to make it this far but this is the end of the line for you." Tanzanite appears hovering overhead. He looks down at the two senshi.

Sailor Pluto's eyes narrow at the sight of this new comer. From what she can guess he is one of Queen Beryl's generals. His dress is nearly identical to Jadeite but he has a different color piping on his uniform. His is purple.

Sailor Saturn focuses her black eyes at the sight of the man above them. He will definitely slow them down assisting the others.

The Starlights scramble to avoid a blast but their new opponent is strong. They are fortunate there are three of them and have worked together for years. They trained together to become senshi. They are related by blood. They saw their respective families die and their world destroyed. They have a lot of anger they can channel at their adversary.

Sodalite glares at the three senshi before him. "This isn't your battle. Why are you even on this planet?" He needs to distract them somehow to try to have the upper hand, anything to throw them off balance.

"We're here to protect this planet," Sailor Star Fighter looks away for a moment. "It may not be our home but it still needs to be protected!" She raises her pointed finger to attack again.

"Evil needs to be vanquished from the galaxy so everyone can live in peace." Sailor Maker raises her fist in a protect stance, watching her opponents every move, waiting for the just the right opening.

Sodalite laughs at their responses. "So you're crusaders with unrealistic goals and hope for a bright future that will never come."

Sailor Star Healer interjects this time. "It will happen once we defeat you."

Sodalite shakes his head slightly. "That won't happen. Everyone will die here. And since you decided to come to this planet, you have the honor of joining them." He attacks the Starlights with a large bolt of concentrated dark energy.

The Starlights jump to the side, the energy hitting a building in the distance.

"Star Sensitive Inferno!"

Sodalite's eyes flash as wall of black energy prevents Sailor Star Healer's attack from doing any damage. He waves his hand in front of his mouth to convey his boredom with fighting the Sailor Starlights. "Here I thought I would have a challenge."

Sailor Star Fighter smiles slightly, accepting the dare. "We're just warming up." Bright white and blue energy crackles at her finger tips.

Sailor Neptune struggles to open her eyes. Everything hurts. She barely registers Sailor Uranus calling her name. She knows she is in trouble based on the amount of pain she feels. It is similar to when Eudial shot her dozens of times when she tried to protect Sailor Uranus. Inhaling sharply, she forces herself to an upright position. She can't accomplish anything if she is still lying on the ground.

She sees Sailor Uranus rushing at her, ignoring the opponent the senshi of the wind should be fighting. Uranus won't see an attack coming. Any moment the enemy could take advantage of her weakness. She can't let that happen. She summons her strength to get up as quickly as she can, a ball of aqua energy forming in her fingers. "Deep Submerge!"

The attack surprises Danburite and he doesn't have enough time to block it. He fumbles with the crystal to try use it to block or absorb the energy. He isn't fast enough. He thought he would have had a clean shot to hit Sailor Uranus. He never dreamed Sailor Neptune would still have enough energy to attack him. He falls to his knees. His left hand clutches his right arm. His miscalculation will cost him.

Sailor Neptune sinks back to her knees. She raises her head enough to stare at Sailor Uranus. "You don't have to worry about me. Focus on the enemy and complete the mission." She pauses to emphasize her next sentence. "Protect the Princess."

Sailor Uranus stops her approach to her partner, clenching her fists tightly into balls at the side of her hips. She hates being in this position. Completing the mission to protect the Princess has to come before everything else; even Neptune's safety at this point.

She spins around on her heels to find the weakened general on the ground. She stares at the scene in front of her in surprise. She missed seeing Neptune's attack connect and injure the general. She was too focused on her partner's safety. She has to end this as fast as she can, for both of their sakes.

She raises her right hand over her head. "World Shaking!" She gives her attack everything she has and it was enough. Danburite disappears and is replaced with a gemstone barring the same name. The black crystal lies on the floor next to him for a few seconds before it shatters, expelling the energy it collected during their encounter.

Sailor Uranus moves as quickly as she can out of the blast radius, moving her closer to Sailor Neptune and Polaris.

Polaris watches everything fascinated. "I am surprised by the strength of the Outer Senshi." She commends her adversary for a moment before turning it into an insult. "But he was the weakest of all the generals." She can't let Uranus know what she is really thinking. She is glad the other Outer Senshi are split up. She had witnessed what they had done to the youma at D Point this morning. Had the four of them remained together, this entire battle would have had a very different outcome.

She looks down at the black stone in her hands. She can't harness the energy Danburite collected since his crystal is now destroyed, but she can make the most of the crystal she possesses. She's not going to waste her energy reviving him with the crystal. He served his purpose.

Sailor Neptune is barely breathing. Her eyes are closed tightly. She is aware what she is doing is risky but she feels too tired and nauseous if she leaves her eyes open. She hopes the feeling of dizziness will pass any moment and she can continue to help Sailor Uranus battle.

Sailor Uranus looks at Sailor Neptune for a moment before turning her eyes over to Polaris. She knows she needs to attack but she doesn't feel like she has any energy left, a very dangerous position to be in.

"I hate when I come across people that prevent me from completing my mission." Sailor Uranus glares at Polaris for a moment before attempting to raise her sword to attack but instead the sword falls to the ground. When did she become so weak? She has been pushing herself to her limits since this morning and she knew little by little it was catching up with her. But this is different.

Sailor Uranus looks down at her sword and catches the red vine around her boot. Her eyes widened. How did she miss this it? It must have latched on after she collapsed fighting Danburite.

She smirks and looks over at Sailor Neptune for a moment. "Maybe I am losing my edge. I don't think I can blame it on my sword this time." Her eyes harden when she looks at Neptune a final time and sees the vines wrapped around her legs too. Uranus can feel the rest of her energy leaving her. She hopes Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn will have more luck. She falls onto the ground and her eyes close.

Sailor Galaxia stares at Princess Kakyuu in disbelief. "Are you sure it was wise to send them to Earth? We both know Sailor Moon is not that weak to die so easily. She might even be…" she stops herself. She can't say it out loud. The mere mention or rumor of Her return could put the galaxy in a frenzy.

"We both have our suspicions," Princess Kakyuu continues Sailor Galaxia train of thought. "But what if it is not her? If the Starlights can prevent that prophecy…"

Sailor Galaxia nods her head. "Well… if our suspicious are correct, the Starlights would also report that development to you."

Princess Kakyuu nods her head. She dislikes meeting in secret with Sailor Galaxia like this but too many on this planet are hateful toward the golden senshi for her attack even if she was under Chaos' control. "Yes. I hate I had to put them in that position… especially Fighter, but too much is at stake if the prophecy comes true."

"I'm sure it's hard for all of them to be on Earth after everything that happened…" Galaxia presses her lips together for a moment before she continues. "It's my fault all of this is going on."

"No," Princess Kakyuu speaks forcefully. "It is not your fault. It is Chaos' fault. We must take action and be prepared should Chaos ever return." Her eyes are downcast. "When." She amends her statement.

"Sailor Moon was too optimistic and naïve to just hope Chaos would not return. Chaos will return the only part that is uncertain is when, where, and what form." Sailor Galaxia pauses to look at the golden bracelets she wears as part of her regular fuku. "I've made some preparations in the past year for this reason." She pauses to look at the painting behind Princess of Kakyuu and her deceased parents that perished right before Kinmoku was attacked. "Have the Starlights provided any updates on their progress?"

"I spoke with them yesterday. They still have time to stop the prophecy. They are working together with the others to defeat this enemy before it is too late. Apparently the enemy is someone Sailor Moon has fought before, but the details I received are vague since the others don't want to talk about it." She sighs slightly. "I guess there are things we have all seen that we wish we hadn't."

Sailor Galaxia's expression softens. "Please keep me updated as well, if needed I can assist on Earth."

Princess Kakyuu bows her head slightly, "thank you."

Sailor Star Healer avoids another attack easily. She is about to return fire and attack but a chill runs up her spine. It's the same as before, a blessing and a curse. It is the same feeling she felt when Galaxia took a starseed. Whenever a strong starseed's light burns out within a certain distance from her for whatever reason, she can feel it. The same starseeds Galaxia called "true starseeds". "A light burned out." Her tone is filled with dread as speaks softly to the other Starlights.

Sailor Star Fighter turns her head sharply, panic setting in what it symbolizes. "Are you sure?"

Sailor Star Healer nods her head. "There is no mistaking it." She gasps and her eyes widen. "A second star… just burned out." She looks at the ground. "But I have no way of knowing who it was."

"It doesn't matter since you'll be joining them shortly!" Sodalite laughs at the Starlights dismay.

Sailor Star Maker takes out her anger on her opponent. "No. We've wasted enough time here already; you're just a minor obstacle that needs to be dealt with."

Sodalite glares at Sailor Star Maker, resenting how the Starlight addressed him. "Just... an obstacle? I'll show you what real power looks like!" He doesn't hold back anything and unleashes the biggest blast of dark energy at them he can muster.

Sailor Mercury looks at the computer screen for nearly twenty seconds to confirm the readings. Maybe this the time they will find something. "The energy signature has gotten stronger. I think we are close." She pauses to make sure she is reading it correctly. She looks up at the gate in the distance. "It's on the other side."

Sailor Mars' eyes narrow. "That path leads to the inner shrine for Emperor Meiji. The gate further down would be open if it was earlier in the day. Then the main hall is closed off past that to everyone." She debates the best course of action. "At this time of night, the area could be heavily guarded. There are many treasures that belonged to the Emperor housed in there."

Sailor Jupiter examines the wall and the large ordinate wooden gate. "We have to investigate it. This seems to be the best lead we've had so far." She looks over at Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury. "We have to end this tonight, for Usagi-chan's sake."

Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars nod their heads in agreement with Sailor Jupiter's assessment.

Sailor Mars will deal with any of the guilt she feels for potentially violating scared ground another time. If she doesn't stop Queen Beryl all scared areas will be danger long with everyone in Tokyo. This is the only path they can take to protect their Princess and the city, Sailor Mars pulls out dozens of ofuda and holds them tightly in her hands. She is glad she brought as many as she could find as a just in case measure. Her instincts tell her she is going to need them tonight.

They pass the rows of empty sake barrels and continue on their journey. Taking everything in, trying not to miss any signs the enemy is nearby. They pause for a moment before passing through the next torii gate.

"Silent Wall!" Sailor Saturn blocks another attack from Tanzanite.

While Sailor Saturn is on the defensive, Sailor Pluto must take on an offensive role. "Dead Scream…"

Tanzanite dodges out of the way of the attack in time, it was closer than he would have liked. His energy wasn't depleted from battling youma like the two senshi before him; he shouldn't find it difficult to stop these two senshi. "You're stronger than I was told." He eyes them carefully. He would hate to fight against them at full strength. He watches them closely. If he didn't have them face all of those youmas first, he doesn't think he would stand a chance at killing them.

Sailor Pluto smiles slightly. "We've only just begun." She grips her staff tightly. She needs to be able to time an attack with Saturn perfectly and Tanzanite would no longer be a threat.

Sailor Saturn twirls her glaive. "We will protect this planet and I am not afraid to unleash all of my power against you." Her black eyes are narrow and unblinking. There is no sign she is bluffing.

Tanzanite smirks at the younger girl. "Big words for such a little girl." The shorter one can't be as powerful as the older, taller senshi. The one in purple can block attacks and help fight off youma. What is her full power? It can't be that much after all this time. They should be exhausted and barely able to stand. Without another word, he attacks the duo.

Once again, Sailor Saturn is there to block it. "Silent Wall!"

Tanzanite glares at her. Most of his attacks the shorter one will block. He has to take her out. Simple. She can block if there is only one attacking them, but how well can she block if they are being attack from several different angles as once? He summons more youma.

Sailor Pluto gasps at the sight of another group of youma in front of them. This is now the third time she has been confronted with a dozen or more youma at once today. How many youma are left? She moves closer to Sailor Saturn to regroup.

Sailor Saturn grips her staff tightly in her hand.

"It's just like this morning," Sailor Pluto states softly to the senshi of death. "They are trying to weaken us by sheer numbers."

"We don't have a choice but to stop the youma." Sailor Saturn's eyes scan the creatures surrounding them. She wishes they could move on from this spot. "If we don't stop them here they could go after the Princess or attack the city." There are too many to count. "At some point, they have to run out youma."

"Yes, at some point," Sailor Pluto echoes Sailor Saturn's words. But will they run out before they are too exhausted to continue? All she can do is continue to attack.

"Moon Healing Escalation!" No matter how many youma she turns into dust with her wand, there are more youma ready to take the place of the previous ones. It's exhausting using this much energy but if she stops Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Venus could be hurt. She can't let that happen anymore. She is going to defend the Earth and everyone that lives here. No matter what it may cost her. As long as she protects everyone from harm; she would rather have something happen to her than those around her. She doesn't know how yet but she is going to change the prophecy the Starlights described. The vision Sailor Mars had in the Great Fire won't come to pass either.

All these thoughts are swirling in Sailor Moon's mind, renewing her determination. She raises her Moon Stick again and keeps attacking.

Tuxedo Kamen is trying to keep the youma at bay from attacking Sailor Moon. He grimaces. It is times like this he is frustrated his powers have not changed much over the years. Everyone else has grown in strength. There has to be more to his powers, he just doesn't know what they are or how they work. There has to more to his abilities.

He throws a few more roses stopping youma from advancing toward Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus, giving them a moment to take a breather.

Sailor Venus lost track of how many times she cast her Love and Beauty Shock attack but it seems to be the only attack powerful enough to destroy a youma. These youmas are stronger than the flower youma she encountered on the asteroid or she'd use a weaker attack to conserve more of her energy but against these, she can only use her most powerful one.

She hopes the other teams of senshi are faring better. Maybe one of the teams will show up soon to help them. They have to, she tells herself to feel better. "Venus Love and Beauty Shock!" A bright orange heart rips through the stomach of a red youma, turning it to dust seconds later.

As long as she can keep her Princess safe, that is what matters. The others will be here any minute; they just have to make it until then. The others either didn't find an enemy or they defeated whoever they found. Everyone is going to be okay.

Sailor Venus vows to herself to be beside Sailor Moon when she fights against Queen Beryl this time.

The Starlights are frustrated the prophecy is starting to come true as predicted by the Oracle. They've failed. Two of the senshi are gone. But which ones?

"Who did we see in the prophecy first?" Sailor Star Fighter asks her two teammates. She only remembers Sailor Moon was shown at the end.

"The Outer Senshi, but I don't remember the order. It was a lot to take in at once," Sailor Star Healer tries to recall what she had seen in the Oracle's crystal ball that day. She tries to ignore the dread she feels of what is to come.

"It was Uranus and Neptune followed by Pluto and Saturn," Sailor Star Maker answers. She has a near photographic memory, making it easy for her remember things, extremely helpful for school. But not helpful to the different horrors she has witnessed; ones that won't leave her mind's eye. A major factor of why she struggles with insomnia.

"Where did Uranus and Neptune go?" Sailor Star Fighter mentally kicks herself for not paying attention to the others more. She was too preoccupied with Odango. She bites her lip. Maker and Healer are right. Sailor Moon distracts her a lot. She was never like this until she met the Moon Princess.

"I remember they discussed Taito City and Odaiba. I'm sorry I missed part of it," Sailor Star Maker apologizes. Normally she is the one to be able to provide answers to the group, much like how the Inner Senshi rely on Sailor Mercury.

Sailor Star Healer looks at Maker in surprise. "Taito City. It's close to here."

Sodalite is annoyed the Starlights are only half battling him while already making plans to go elsewhere. "You should worry about yourself." He unleashes a large wide range attack.

The trio scramble. Healer and Maker go to opposite sides and Fighter leaps straight up in the air.

The attack turns the Starlights focus back to the battle, on their opponent, to where it needs to be.

Once her feet are back on solid footing she attacks. "Star Serious Laser!"

Sodalite is moving to avoid Fighter's attack, but he can't dodge all three at the same time.

"Star Sensitive Inferno!"

"Star Gentile Uterus!"

Sodalite is now on the defensive against the Starlights. They aren't holding anything back and he has their full attention. He curses he made them pay more attention to him.

Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn continue to fight the youma but there is no end in sight. As soon as they clear another wave, more appear. It doesn't appear the youma will run out anytime soon as they had previously hoped. The youma are relentless.

Sailor Saturn understands the situation. She doesn't have a lot of strength left and they are running out of options. There is only one thing she can do; gripping her glaive tightly between her fingers she slowly raises it off the ground. She hates the position she is in but this must end. She looks around at Odaiba for a moment, thinking of the destruction that is about to occur. She turns to Sailor Pluto, her voice cold. "I need you to leave."

Sailor Pluto gasps and turns to the younger senshi next to her. Her words leave little up to interpretation on what she is planning. The position of how Saturn is now holding her glaive, vertical off the ground and the blade over her head.

"I can stop all of the youma in the area and Queen Beryl's general but I don't want you to be caught in the blast." Sailor Saturn instructs the woman that helped raise her from a baby to the teenager she has become. Her voice softens a little. "It looks like they are going to have rebuild this area after all."

Sailor Pluto lowers her eyes. She understands Saturn's request but she is hesitant to follow it knowing what will happen to the Senshi of Death. She opens her mouth to protest but they are running out of options and this may be the only one they have to stop the youma in this vicinity.

"Go help the Princess. She needs us. It is our duty as senshi to make sure one of us survives to the end," Sailor Saturn pleads with Sailor Pluto knowing every second wasted discussing this puts their Princess in further danger.

"But if you use your full power…" Sailor Pluto can't bring herself to finish the sentence.

"I will be reborn and the enemy will not," Sailor Saturn reminds Sailor Pluto. "I'm nearing my limit. I'll never make it to Queen Beryl. If I don't do this now, I wouldn't have the strength to be able to later." Sailor Saturn's glaive flashes with a thin layer of purple energy, leaving no more room for debate with Sailor Pluto. "Setsuna-san…. I can end this battle here and you can help the Princess." Energy continues to grow around the glaive, enforcing the urgency for Sailor Pluto to leave Odaiba.

Sailor Pluto looks down at the ground for a moment. There is no way to talk Hotaru out of this; she is already gathering energy for her ultimate attack. She reluctantly agrees. "I wish there was another way." The garnet orb flashes brightly on her staff. "Wait twenty seconds after I leave." Purple doors appear behind Sailor Pluto as she opens the Gates of Time, the fastest way for her to exit.

She stands before the doors, pausing to look at Sailor Saturn one final time.

Sailor Saturn nods her head, determination in her eyes.

Sailor Pluto knows there is no turning back. She can only muster a faint smile of encouragement. She takes a deep breath, before turning around to enter the doorway without another word. The doors close behind her and Sailor Pluto is gone.

Tanzanite laughs at Sailor Pluto's departure. "Some teammate, she left you here to die! She has abandoned you!" He attacks Sailor Saturn but the energy does reach her as it was absorbed by the glowing mass of purple energy surrounding her staff.

Sailor Saturn smiles and raises her glaive higher in the air; it crackles as more energy gathers as she doesn't hold back any of her remaining power.

Tanzanite smirks. "Oh you think you can challenge me on your own?" He laughs at her feeble attempt. He tries to attack again and is unsuccessful. After two attacks that did not connect he begins to show the first signs of concern what Sailor Saturn is doing maybe dangerous for him.

Sailor Saturn can feel her strength leaving her as she expels every ounce she can to her glaive. Everything is going to end with a bang. "You haven't realized what I can do…" She smiles for a moment, "Silent Glaive…" The purple energy immediately turns black and triples in size. She shifts her hold on her glaive to swing it downward. She stares at him for a moment watching the look of horror on his face before she finishes her final attack. "Surprise!" The tip of her glaive brushes the ground, discharging all of the pent up energy.

Tanzanite didn't have a chance to scream.

The Gates of Time open and Sailor Pluto reaches Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Kamen, and Sailor Venus. The others are startled by her sudden appearance. Sailor Pluto realizes how tired she is from battling. Traveling through the gates take some of her energy but today seems like more than ordinary. "Get down!" She warns them. Taking a quick glance in the direction of Odaiba, she knows it is about to happen soon.

"What is going on?" Sailor Moon asks with panic in her voice.

Tuxedo Kamen grabs and pulls Sailor Moon down near the ground as Sailor Pluto instructed. His instincts tell him what is about to happen is dangerous.

Sailor Venus also lowers herself to the ground with the others.

A few seconds tick by.

A bright purple flash lights up the night sky from across the bay and all twenty-three wards of Tokyo.

"No Hotaru-chan…" Sailor Moon murmurs as she starts to understand what is happening. When she went to rescue Sailor Saturn from Pharaoh 90, she had seen a similar light when she unleashed the same attack. She clenches her first tightly. She's not there to save Sailor Saturn this time.

The purple light dies out and is followed by blinding white light.

Sailor Mars, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Jupiter freeze when they see the purple light behind them. It is far in the distance.

Sailor Mercury begins frantically analyzing the energy with her visor. Her mouth drops. "Sailor Saturn." She is all she can muster before the light turns white. She has to look away from the blinding light.

Seconds later the lights disappears.

Sailor Mars looks up when the white light is gone. "What just happened?"

Moments later, a loud boom echoes throughout Tokyo. Buildings near the edge of the bay have glass blown out as the wind catches up from the blast.

Sailor Jupiter looks at Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury with horror on her face.

A strong breeze rushes past them ruffling their skirts and their hair and just like that, the wind is gone.

"I can only imagine what happened to those that were closer to the blast." Sailor Jupiter looks at Sailor Mercury. "Ami-chan were other people hurt?" Her stomach drops. Did one of the senshi just put all of Tokyo in danger?

"No… everyone in Tokyo is okay… but past Tokyo…. I don't know." She feels a lump in her throat. "The readings for that energy blast were too high for my visor to calculate." She types on her computer. "I'm not picking up any life signs in that area." Her shoulders slump. "Anyone that was there… is gone."

"That was Odaiba… wasn't it? I know there were other people there not involved with this battle…" the guilt hits her. They failed to save a lot of people while they were running through this shrine trying to find the enemy. They should have stopped Queen Beryl sooner before any of this could have happened.

Sailor Mars looks at Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mercury for confirmation of her suspicions. "Saturn…did she?" The other two senshi look away from the senshi of flames; their silence only confirming Sailor Mars' belief.

Sailor Mercury exhales loudly. "I'm not finding a reading for Sailor Saturn." Her head snaps up to look at her friends. "I can't find Uranus or Neptune either."

"What about Sailor Pluto, didn't she go with Sailor Saturn?" Sailor Jupiter asks.

"She is with Sailor Moon. She must have left before Saturn…" Sailor Mercury can't finish the rest of the sentence. Now it made sense. Why Sailor Moon had tried so hard to become Super Sailor Moon. This is the end result whenever Sailor Saturn uses such a power.

Sailor Jupiter hits her fist into her open palm. "We have to stop this. We're wasting too much time. We should go and help the others."

"Why, the fun is just starting!" Monazite asks as he finally appears before the senshi. His pale pink hair almost looking silver in the light reflected from a nearby lamp.

The senshi turn to stare at the general with green pipping in front of them. They frown at the sight of the dozen youma behind him.

"I understand you have been looking for me. Don't worry. It won't take long before you die just like your friends," He assures them with a wide grin.

Sailor Star Healer misses a step as she feels another light burn out. She struggles to regain her balance. This is becoming more and more frequent.

Seconds later they see purple light illuminating a section in the distance. The light disappears only to be replaced with a white light even brighter than the purple one. That light then vanished; followed by a deafening explosion.

"What does that mean…" Sailor Star Fighter looks in the distance in horror. Are they too late? Is everyone gone in the blink of an eye?

"Another star burned out with that light," Sailor Star Healer lowers her eyes to the ground. It is times like this she hates having this added ability.

Sailor Star Maker turns to her teammates. "I think it was from Odaiba." The place were some of the Outer Senshi where. "We need to hurry."

Sodalite also agrees this battle needs to end. He thought he could defeat them without youma. "This is the end of the line for you!" He attempts to summon youma. None appear. "What is this? There is an entire army of youma!" He tries to summon them again and he is empty handed.

Sailor Star Fighter smiles at the turn of events. "Looks like it's the end of the line for you."

Related by blood, I figured I would make the Starlights cousins. Technically their first names are all Kou. But…. I'm making their last name Kou. So if they all have the same last name, why not be cousins? But not kissing cousins! (Cloverway Dub reference) Defiantly not brothers.

In the 90s anime, episode 173 when Mamoru lost his starseed, Yaten told the others a star's light just went out. Maybe all the Starlights have this ability to sense when a starseed disappears/burned out. I wanted to give Healer an ability that the others might not have, kind of like how Rei can sense an evil presence more than say Makoto or Minako. Because of this, Healer is really going to be struggling with this battle. Maker's extra ability was also mentioned, near perfect memory.
