Saiyans of Earthland

"Okay everyone, we are officially taking job requests again." Mira called from the newly rebuilt bar counter.

Everyone cheered, while Kaen was just sitting at the counter, with Eri at his side, her face in a manga book. After everything that had gone down, Kaen and Mina had agreed to revoke Eri's grounding, just this once. At the moment, Kaen was fiddling with something in his hand, while Mina was waiting on tables with Mira. He'd been waiting on the perfect time to strike up the conversation, leading to the question he wanted to ask her, but at the moment, he had to focus on returning to work, once his break ended, as Erza had to force the Saiyan to take it easy, as his arm just barely finished healing from the breaking bone it went through.

"Anything I can get you Kaen?" Mira asked, coming to them.

"A soda for the both of us please." Kaen said.

"Can I have root beer?" Eri inquired.

"Sure thing Kitten."

"So, is that what I think it is?" Mira asked, as she looked to Kaens hand. "Erza told me you and Mina were already married in Saiyan culture, but she mentioned you were wanting to make it, actually official by law."

"It is." Kaen said. "I just need to find the right time to ask Mina the question."

"Well, I'm sure when the time is right, it'll come to you." Mira smiled.

"Right, I'm sure it will." Kaen said.

"Don't look now, but Laxus is over in the corner. An' he's not pleased with how you showed him up, by taking on a Wizard Saint." Mira said.

Kaen looked over his shoulder, and saw the blonde lightning man, with a look of disdain on his face, directed at him.

"Think he's mad I haven't changed my mind about joining the Thunder Legion?" Kaen asked. "I mean, it did seem to piss him off."

"I wouldn't put it past him." Mira stated, handing him another glass of soda. "He's not used to anyone but the Master telling him no."

Kaen wasn't surprised, and he wasn't amused about Laxus's behavior at all, as he knew for a fact, that the lightning wielder didn't even bother to help once, during the Phantom War even when Mira had pleaded with him. If Kaen remembered right, Laxus had made Mirajane cry when she tried to implore him for his help in war, while stating he'd only help them out of the fight, if Lucy became his woman. He even went as far as to say he'd only come and help if Mira convinced Mina to leave Kaen and join Lucy in being his woman. A man like him made Kaens heart lurch with anger.

"Make my next drink a stiff one Mira." Kaen sighed, knowing where this was going.

"Why don't you tell the others how you feel?" Erza suggested, after Kaen caught a barrel that had been sent flying, and nearly hit Eri in the back of the head.

Looking back, Kaen saw that Laxus had switched from glaring at him, to arguing with Erza.

"I have no problem, telling 'em what I think of 'em." Laxus smirked. "This guild is filled with nothing but losers and weaklings." He stated, before looking to Jet and Droy. "Especially the two of you morons. You were Phantoms personal punching bags. You know I'm glad I never bothered to learn your names. Which brings me to the worst of them all, the rich little Princess wannabe wizard." He stated, turning to Lucy. "This is your fault."

"Would you shut your damn mouth?" Kaen questioned, hitting Laxus in the face with the barrel he'd caught. This sudden act of defiance against the lightning wielder, was enough to catch everyone off guard and drop their jaws to the ground. "Master Makarov said no one was to be held accountable for what happened. An' it's not Lucy's fault her old man decided to use Phantom to declare war on us, just to bring her back. The man's an arrogant ass who doesn't even care about his own daughters feelings. Yet despite the war, you still refused to help, and turned your back on your own Guild, unless you got what you wanted."

"Stop your whining! That fight had nothing to do with me!" Laxus scowled, getting to his feet and wiping the blood from his nose. "Although if I had been there, you wouldn't be drowning your sorrows in this pile of rubble right now."

"Why you…" Erza grit her teeth, her face contorting with rage as she clenched her fists.

"Hold it right there!" Natsu shouted, as he came charging in from behind Erza much to her surprise.

He jumped through the air and launched his fist straight for Laxus's jaw. Then, Laxus disappeared in a burst of lightning. Landing, Natsu sensed Laxus's presence and turned around.

"Laxus! Fight me! You heartless Bastard!" Natsu shook his flame engulfed fist at the blonde haired wizard, causing him to laugh.

"What kind of fight would it be when you can't even catch me?" Laxus scanned the property, staring at each individual guild member. "When I inherit the guild, I'll get rid of all the weaklings. As well as anyone who stands against me! I'll make the ultimate guild! The strongest guild in history that no one can look down upon." He stated as he began to walk away.

"You're pathetic you know that?" Natsu smirked, causing Laxus to stop in his tracks.

"What?" Laxus asked, his left eye twitching in annoyance.

"I said you're pathetic. You claim to be strong, but you can't even do half the things Kaen can do. He can use an attack with an output to match the blast from a Jupiter Cannon, and come out on top, I know for a fact that you are unable to do that." Natsu smiled before leaning over as Laxus kneed him in the gut.

"Shut up. That weakling newbie has nothing on me." Laxus growled. "I'm the strongest one in Fairy Tail, not some wannabe walking apocalypse."

"I disagree with everything you've said." Kaen spoke. His voice came out of nowhere and startled a few of the guild members sitting around the brawl, shaking in fear at the monstrous aura surrounding him.

Laxus turned his head back. Upon seeing Kaen, he scoffed. "What's it to you? You're just as much to blame as the blonde bimbo for igniting the war. Phantom wanted you to join their ranks, so they used any and all means to get to you."

Kaen sighed before he hoped down from the bar. Sticking his hands in his pockets, Kaen stared into the eyes of the Lightning Sorcerer towering over him a bit. "You're right, Phantom did want me. This was only the latest in a long list of attempts that they employed to try and get me to join their ranks. Even so, I am still a member of Fairy Tail, and I was just thinking… You talk as if you're the strongest, yet even these so called 'weaklings' have done more when fighting for this Guild, than you." Kaens words increased the already rising tension in the area, causing a few of the newer guild members to slowly back away from the scene, as this was one war, they did not want to be a part of.

Laxus' expression changed back into a scowl, as he and Kaen stepped up to one another, both of them of equal height. "As I said, it had nothing to do with me." Laxus had expected Kaen to back down after this, but the Saiyan refused to give him even an inch, and surprised him.

"Then that dawns another question." Kaen's eyes narrowed. He had no malicious intent, but his gaze raged on like a wildfire, as the ground around him formed a circle of power, with the tension growing stronger. "Your wish is to inherit the guild and yet, when it was being attacked by Phantom Lord, you were nowhere to be seen. You only said you'd come fight, like the pig you are, if Mira convinced Lucy, and my wife to be your women."

"I repeat, it had nothing to do with me." Laxus glared, wanting this silly argument to end.

"As someone with royal blood in his veins, I know that no true king has ever inherited a kingdom by just sitting on his ass, expecting everything to fall in his lap like he's earned it. If you don't work for something, then you don't earn nor deserve it. Someone with your mindset is more comparable to a thief than a Guild Master. Anyone off the streets would be more worthy to inherit the Guild than you." Kaen growled.

Laxus' face distorted into shocked anger for a few seconds, before he threw a fist at Kaen, only for the Saiyan to match it, creating a powerful shockwave as their punches collided, before it pushed both of them back with an echo of thunder. This sudden development shocked Laxus, and the others witnessing the developing brawl, as steam seemed to pour off Kaens body. Regaining composure, he closed his eyes, his expression relaxing as he took a deep breath.

"You know what, looks like I underestimated you. You've got strength for the newest arrival to Fairy Tail. It's rare that a newbie has enough power to match that of an S-Class Wizards." Laxus stated "You've got guts…" Turning around, Laxus began to glow a bright golden yellow color. "I'll be sure to remember you. Oh, and my offer to join the Thunder Legion, is rescinded." With that, the lightning wielder vanished into threads of electricity.

Once Laxus was gone, Kaen relaxed and sat back down at the bar counter, taking a swig of his drink.

"What an ass, why would anyone ever let him take over?" Kaen questioned, as Mira refilled his mug, while Kaen dropped a couple coins in Eri's swear jar.

"Unfortunately, we may not have much of a choice." Mira said. "Laxus is the Masters Grandson after all, so it is highly possible he'll inherit it from the Master when he retires."

"Oh yeah, I think I remember Mina telling me something about that, the night Eri stole the S-Class Quest." Kaen stated, before drinking from his mug again. "I guess whether we like it or not, Laxus is at the top of a short list of people who could assume command of the Guild, should Master Makarov choose to retire soon."

"Which got a bit bigger, after the Master saw you hold your own against Jose." Mira said, causing Kaen to choke on his drink.

"Wait hold up, I'm on that list?" Kaen asked. "But I'm like, one of the newest recruits here."

"Which is why you're at the bottom of the list, but still part of it." Mira said. "One of the Masters requirements for being on that list, involves being able to hold your own against a Wizard Saint, so you qualify."

"Wow. I wonder what the other qualifications are?" He pondered, taking another drink from his mug.

The moment he put the mug down, Mina came up from behind him, and hugged her husband with a smile.

"Kaen, that was incredible." Mina smiled. "You were really something else."

"It wasn't anything special." Kaen said, before he froze when he felt Mina nibbling on his ear.

"But it was special, to me." She said in a breathy voice, nibbling on his ear again.

'Crap, I forgot about the Alpha affect.' Kaen thought. "Mira… could you watch Eri for… a few hours?"

"I don't mind but why… Oh, I see what's happening." Mira smiled, giggling at the sight of Mina's blushing face. "Alright, go have some fun you two."

"Great, see you in a bit." Kaen said, before quickly turning around, grabbing Mina, and taking to the air.

"Why are they flying home without me?" Eri asked sounding saddened and concerned. "Did I do something wrong and they're leaving me here alone as punishment?"

"Nothing like that, don't worry sweetie." Mira smiled, putting a root beer float in front of her, making the child smile. "You didn't do anything wrong. They're just taking care of something, adults need to take care of, every now and then."

~That Night~

Makarov was sitting quietly on the construction sight of the new Guildhall. It had been another honest days work of building, and he was enjoying a few bottles of ale to enjoy the rewards of his hard work. But something else was on his mind, and it was in regards to Fairy Tails future, and a topic he'd overheard Mira talking to Kaen about.

"Retire huh? With the new hall, perhaps the Guild needs a new Master as well." He sighed, before pulling out a list from his pocket, with five names on it, one of them freshly added. "But who would be right for the position? Laxus? He's got some personal issues he needs to sort out. Mystogan, a silent recluse is hardly leader material. Gildarts is always out adventuring, so he'd probably pass off the job to someone else. Of course there's Erza, but she's still rather young, and hot tempered as well. Finally, there's the rising star of the Saiyan Race. His full magic is a mystery to me, but his heart is strong, and his courage boundless. Plus he's a royal apparently, so he's prime leadership material, but doesn't act like a stuck up royal, he's humble and he knows how to actually treat people right."

"Oh there you are Master, I've been looking all over for you." Mira said, pulling Makarov's attention to her, as Eri was sleepily walking by her side, holding her hand. "It seems they've done it again sir."

"Done what?" Makarov asked.

"Uncle Natsu and his team completed the Arcane Cult job they took, but they destroyed half the town in the process." Eri said with a yawn, rubbing her eye.

"She's right sir." Mira said, showing the papers to Makarov, causing him to gasp in horror. "The Magic Council is demanding you submit a written apology immediately." She added, before noticing how pale he'd gotten. "Master, is there something wrong?"

"I'M NEVER GONNA BE ABLE TO RETIRE AT THIS RATE!" Makarov shouted to the moon.

~The Next Day~

"Ah, I feel so much better." Mina smiled, as she was practically glowing like a polished gem, while serving out drinks.

"Damn Mina, you're glowing today." Natsu said.

"Well, I did have a bit of an enjoyable workout with Kaen yesterday." Mina smiled.

"What does that mean?" Grey asked.

"They fucked like rabbits until Mira brought Eri home last night." Happy said.

"They left the construction sight in the middle of the morning to do that?" Lucy shouted. "Holy and to do it for that long, Saiyan stamina is crazy scary."

"Oh guess you don't know do you?" Mina asked. "Female Saiyans have a biological reaction to seeing any male standing their ground against an enemy, especially if that enemy's very strong. So Kaen's little tussle with Laxus yesterday, was at fault. An' it was satisfying, so many times. Oh, we could have kept going longer, but Mira had been watching Eri for long enough, and Kaen didn't wanna inconvenience her anymore then we already had."

"Please stop talking about your sex life in front of us." Grey groaned.

"So I heard you took on the Arcane Cult job yesterday, how'd it go?" Mina asked.

"Went well, until we had to give the reward back to pay for the damages Natsu caused." Lucy stated with a groan.

"What's the big deal, we'll just go on another job." Natsu smirked.

"The big deal, is I have to pay rent and it's due next week." Lucy exclaimed. "I can't pay rent when we're forced to return our payments to the client for damages. I'd like a job where no fighting is required."

"If it's a job without any fighting you're looking for, there's actually one that would be perfect for your creativity." Mina said. "Kaen's gonna be taking Eri on a simple job that will be enough for her to handle while she's still young."

"You sure that's okay? I mean, she's still kinda young, isn't she?" Lucy asked.

"Which is why I won't be taking her on anything she can't handle. There are jobs that don't require fighting you know." Kaen said, coming up from behind Mina with Eri sitting on one of his arms.

"Papa and I are gonna go have fun." Eri smiled.

"What job are you taking?" Grey asked.

"We're just gonna take care of some mountain bandits at Fort Term. They've taken the place as their own, and it's a historical landmark that needs to be cleared of pests." Kaen said.

"Really, let me tag along then." Natsu said.

"No." Eri, Mina, and Kaen said at the same time.

"Why not?" Natsu questioned.

"Did you not hear me when I said it was a historical landmark? A little damage they'll turn a blind eye to, but not the destruction of the entire thing." Kaen stated.

"It's just gonna be Kaen and Eri for this job." Mina said.

"Actually Mina, Hosekna Village, the Spa Town is near the job sight. I was thinking we could take this job as a family, and enjoy some time there afterwards." Kaen said. "I've already cleared it with Mira and the Master, and they said you could come along if you wanted."

"A hot spring resort, really?" Mina smiled. "I'm so in."

~Fort Term~

"Dang, for bandits, there idiots aren't putting up much of a fight, are they?" Kaen asked, slamming one of the bandits faces into the ground.

"I know, they're so weak they're not even a real challenge. An' I was hoping to work up a good sweat before we went to the resort too." Mina said, easily disposing of the bandits that came after her.

"Same." Eri said. "I wanted a challenge."

"So did you hear, Team Natsu took that theater job, and they're gonna put on a show." Kaen said, while Eri jumped over his head, and hit a bandit with a double kick.

"Think we'll have time to see the show on our way back?" Mina asked.

"I hope so. I wanna see something funny." Eri smiled.

"That's not nice Eri." Kaen said. "But it's not wrong either."

"So who did you creeps steal from, old ladies and children?" Mina questioned, grinding the heel of her boot into one of the bandits.

"Don't act like this is over." One of the bandits said.

"Yeah, Lord Deadlum is gonna make you pay."

"You mean your boss? His ass was the first I beat when we got here. Knocked him out with one punch too." Kaen said, putting a couple coins in Eri's swear jar.

"Well, this was a waste." Mina sighed, tying up the bandits. "I was hoping to at least have faced a challenge."

"I know, it sucks we can't find tougher jobs that are bellow S-Class." Kaen said, dragging the bandits along the ground via a lead rope.

"Look what I got, isn't this gem pretty?" Eri asked, holding up a diamond.

"Hey stealing from thieves is still stealing young lady." Mina said.

"Don't look now, but check out who's watching us." Kaen said spotting a ginger haired green jacket wearer. "Isn't that Loki?"

"You're right, that is." Mina said, spotting him.

"Loki, hey what's up man?" Kaen asked.

"Nothing really. I just needed to get out of the town, thought I'd check out the resort here." Loki said.

"You were hoping Lucy was with us, weren't you?" Mina asked. "I see the way you've been eyeing her lately. Been getting over your phobia of Celestial Wizards haven't you?"

"I will admit, there have been some things I wanted to talk about with her for a while." Loki said.

"So, I got a question for you man." Kaen said. "Why aren't you in the Celestial Spirit World with the others? I mean, you're Leo the Lion right?"

This question took Loki by surprise, even Mina and Eri were shocked.

"How did you…"

"How did I know you're a Celestial Spirit?" Kaen asked. "I didn't at first, but once I got a feel for Aquarius and Taurus's Ki, I figured it out pretty easily. So fess up man, why aren't you in the Celestial Spirit Realm?"

~Hot Spring~

"You're kidding, the King banished you for standing up against an abusive Celestial Wizard?" Kaen asked, sitting in the mens bath, drinking some sake with Loki.

"Yep, that about sums it up." Loki said. "I gotta be honest, it's a nice feeling to get this off my chest for once. I've been carrying it around for three years now."

"Still it's messed up." Kaen said. "If Karen knew she was low on magical power, why the hell did she think it was a good idea to even attempt a job while you were on strike?"

"Karen was desperate for money." Loki said. "Celestial Spirit Magic was all she knew, so she couldn't use any other magic for her work. An' since it was her only means of income, she had no choice."

"Not true." Kaen sighed a bit in annoyance. "She could have swallowed her pride, and worked as a waitress in Blue Pegasus until she agreed to your terms. Besides, from the way you've described her, I'd say Karen's breached her contracts with her spirits so many times, the Celestial Spirit King should have intervened."

"Sounds to me she was a royal pain." Mina's voice came from the other side of the wall.

"Aye." Eri added.

"Still, even though it wasn't directly my fault that she died, I still pushed Karen to extremes and forced her to take that job." Loki said.

"Don't blame yourself Loki." Kaen stated. "We all make choices we regret in life, but it's what we do with what we learn from those choices, that make us who we are. You chose to stand up for your friend, who was being abused. That's respectable, and you shouldn't be held responsible for what Karen did, because it was her choice. The Celestial Spirit King, was wrong."

Loki's eyes widened when hearing that, before looking to Kaen in shock.

"What? I got something on my face?"

"Normally, whenever someone says something about the Celestial Spirit King being wrong, he usually appears to defend his case." Loki said.

"Oh my God, the Celestial Spirit King's a snowflake?" Kaen smirked. "Damn if he has to do that, because someone disagrees with his words, then he's not as emotionally tough as he thinks he is."

"Are you trying to piss him off?" Loki questioned. "Because that's what you're gonna do if you keep this smack talk up."

"All joking aside, I'm sure it was a hard decision for him to make. But still, I honestly do believe he was wrong, to banish you from the Celestial Spirit realm like that, just for standing up for a friend, against a bullheaded self entitled mage." Kaen said. "Where are the others now, the Celestial Spirits who were contracted to Karen, I mean."

"With the Celestial Wizard who killed her." Loki sighed. "I highly doubt their treatment's any better then it was before. In fact I'm certain it's worse then ever."

"So, what does any of this have to do, with you avoiding Lucy like the plague?" Kaen asked. "Because honestly, it's starting to get concerning how much of that's been happening, and how extreme it's becoming."

"Well for one, I just don't wanna end up hurting her, like I did my old master." Loki said. "For another, any one of her spirits could identify me, and call me out in the middle of the guild, if they ever appeared without her summoning them. Then I'd be forced to leave, or tell my secret to all of them."

"I see, so you're scared of getting close, because you're not wanting to actually hurt her, like you said you did with Karen." Kaen said. "Sounds like you truly care about her as a Celestial Wizard, and a friend."

"I do." Loki stated. "But my time's almost up."

"Meaning?"

"Celestial Spirits can't survive too long in the human realm without being contracted to someone." Loki said. "I'm currently using my own magic to sustain myself in this world, but when that's depleted, I'm done for. It's a miracle I've lasted this long."

"I see. You're saying you'll die." Kaen said. "Then why not contract with me, or Mina, until you find a way to return home, and destroy the banishment?"

"Huh?" Loki asked. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm saying, use one of us as an anchor to keep you from dying." Kaen said. "Honestly, I don't know you all that well, but you're still my friend, and I don't wanna see you go just yet. Not when you did so much in the fight against Phantom Lord."

"Sorry, but no." Loki said. "As much as I appreciate the offer, this is my punishment for what happened with Karen. I have to see it through to the end."

"If that's the way you feel, then I won't stop you." Kaen said. "But, at least be up front and honest with Lucy about why you're avoiding her. I think she deserves that much at least."

"If I were to do that, she'd likely try to stop me, and do everything in her power to find a way to send me back to the Celestial Spirit realm." Loki said.

"Kaen, Eri and I are gonna head for a walk to cool off, before we get something to eat." Mina called from over the fence.

"Okay, just be careful." Kaen said.

"There's a couple of creepers who use their magic to have their way with women, try to avoid someone who talks like they're some sort of gangster, and someone whose head keeps spinning back and forth for no reason." Loki called out.

"Thanks for the warning Loki." Mina said.

"You are a good guy, you know that?" Kaen chuckled.

"I know, you keep saying it." Loki said. "Now let's talk about that engagement ring you bought for Mina."

"What?" Kaen questioned, doing a spit take with his sake.

~Restaurant~

"Seriously, how'd you know about the ring?" Kaen asked.

"It wasn't that hard to miss. I saw you fiddling with it, when we were getting ready for the baths." Loki said, as he and Kaen sat at the restaurant counter, dressed in robes.

"I see." Kaen sighed.

"Gotta say, that's a pretty big rock to put on Mina's little ring finger." Loki chuckled. "So, when are you gonna pop the question?"

"That's the thing." Kaen grumbled. "Mina and I are married according to the laws of Saiyan culture. But I'm wanting to make things, honest between us. I want her to make an actual, honest man out of me."

"So, what's stopped you from popping the question yet." Loki asked.

"Timing." Kaen stated. "I wanna pop the question, when the time is right, and I keep finding things that distract me from asking her."

"So, what do you think a good time to ask her would be?" Loki questioned.

"I don't know. But in all honesty, I'm not sure if I can bring her into my troubles." Kaen said.

"What do you mean?"

"Promise to keep a secret?"

"Dude, you're keeping my secret about being a Celestial Spirit. I think the least I can do is keep a secret of yours." Loki stated.

"Well, the only two people to know this about me, are Mina and Eri." Kaen said. "Inside my mind, there is another person."

"Another person?"

"Several to be precise." Kaen said. "But the person I'm talking about, is my twin brother Pinach. An' he's been there since I was born."

"So… you have D.I.D?" Loki asked.

"Technically." Kaen stated. "In the womb, I reabsorbed my brother. When there were supposed to be triplets during my birth, there were only twins."

"An' your Chimerism, along with your D.I.D are side effects of that." Loki said. "Your brothers soul remained after you two became one."

"That's the gist of it." Kaen said. "Thing is, I might have found a way to give him his own body, and life. Via magic."

"That's great isn't it?" Loki asked.

"Yeah, not quite." Kaen stated. "I can't do it."

"Well why not?"

"Because it involves a dark forbidden spell, that Zeref himself wouldn't even attempt to use." Kaen said. "Or maybe he would, I don't really know."

"What does the spell involve?" Loki asked.

"It involves the R-System." Kaen said, causing Loki to spit take into his cup.

"The R-System?" Loki coughed.

"Given how it's of Zeref's design, I'd say it's safe to assume I sounded stupid when saying Zeref himself wouldn't attempt using it." Kaen stated. "But yeah. The R-System is key to giving my brother his own body, and life."

"How is that supposed to work exactly?" Loki asked.

"Essentially, a piece of my body goes into the R-System, and from there, Pinach's own body will grow from it." Kaen sighed.

"You do know the R-System is a forbidden spell for a reason right?" Loki questioned.

"Why do you think I haven't used the idea yet?" Kaen asked. "Though there is a problem."

"What's the problem?" Loki asked.

"There's already an R-System that's nearly completed, somewhere off the coast near some well known resort." Kaen said.

"You're kidding." Loki said. "You're not thinking of using it, are you?"

"Of course not." Kaen stated.

"Then what are you gonna do?" Loki asked.

"I've already notified the Magic Council about it. They should be deciding on what to do with it by now." Kaen said.

"Papa." Eri said, coming into the restaurant, and tugging on his sleeve.

"Eri? What's wrong?"

"Nothing, Mama just sent me to you, because she found a store I'm not allowed to go in." Eri said, hopping up on the stool between Kaen and Loki. "Also she found those perverts Loki mentioned, and tied them up before they could do anything. We stopped at the towns police station before Mama found that store."

"A store you're not allowed into?" Kaen asked.

"The only store like that I can think of in this area is…" Loki pondered before his face lit up in realization, and smirked.

"What?" Kaen asked.

"Nothing, but just to let you know, Mina's probably gonna be asking me to watch Eri tonight." Loki said.

"What makes you say that?" Kaen inquired.

"Let's just say, the store I was thinking of, is for adult fun." Loki said.

~Inn~

"We're back." Kaen said, coming into the hotel room, with Eri and Loki.

"Welcome back Hun." Mina said. "Is Loki with you?"

"Yeah, I'm here." Loki said.

"Can I ask you to watch Eri for a couple hours?" Mina asked, her words shocking Kaen.

"Sure, I don't have a problem with it." Loki smirked, giving Kaen an, I told you so, look.

"Great, I really appreciate it." Mina said. "It'll only be a couple hours."

"Take all the time you need." Loki said. "Come on Eri, I've got some bored games we can play."

"Got cards?" Eri asked, as they left.

Once the door to their hotel room was closed, Kaen looked at it in disbelief, before he turned back around, just as Mina came out into view, his eyes widening when he saw her, wearing an outfit, that looked like a corset, made out of a leotard, somewhat ill fitting as she wore her pregnancy choker, giving her the appearance of a woman finishing her first trimester with twins, while a riding crop whip in one hand, and a rope in the other, and a pair of sky high stilettos on her feet and legs, and middle finger arm length gloves reaching up to her mid upper arms. Looking at her face, Kaen noticed a rather new addition to it, as Mina seems to have gotten her lower lip pierced, and her hair was longer, reaching down to her hips.

"It's just you and me tonight." Mina smiled, walking up to him.

"Uh… yeah." Kaen said, gulping as he backed up a bit.

"So… let's have some fun, while Eri's out." Mina said, pressing the riding crop into his chest, before Kaen found himself tied up in the rope, making him blush, before Mina knocked him to the ground, and put a foot on his chest. "An' by the by, there's no safe word."

~Fairy Tail 2Days Later~

"Ugh." Kaen groaned, his head on the counter of the bar.

"You doing okay there Kaen?" Mira asked.

"Not really." Kaen stated. "Mina's been going through this, Dominatrix Phase, and it's been killing me these past couple nights. I think she managed to trigger a couple Zenkai Boosts."

"That sounds rough." Mira said.

"An' that's not even the half of it." Kaen said, pointing to Mina.

Mira looked up at Mina, and saw the Saiyan girl smiling as she served drinks to Natsu's team, but what shocked her was her belly.

"Oh my, I wasn't aware Eri was expecting to be a big sister." Mira gasped.

"She wasn't until a couple nights ago, when this first happened." Kaen stated. "She was too deep into the dominatrix role, and while wearing the pregnancy choker she got for a school awareness project, she forgot the effects of it, if we did it raw dog, and that affect was, the pregnancy is no longer fake. She's now three months along, in a 24 month pregnancy, all because she wouldn't let me pull out."

"24 months?" Mira asked.

"Saiyan pregnancies last about two years or so." Kaen said. "Once they reach full term size, they'll stop growing, but that will start back up again, once they're born. So now I've got a couple more responsibilities on the way, while Mina remains here, and doesn't take on anymore jobs."

"She seems rather happy about this at least." Mira said, pouring Kaen a drink.

"She is, though she was freaking out at first because she was scared about becoming a mother to newborns, since she's never had to raise a newborn before." Kaen said. "But, she knows I wouldn't leave her, and that I'd be there to support her every step of the way."

"That's good at least." Mira smiled. "Oh, by the way. I wanted let you know, you got a summons from the Master."

"The Master summoned me?" Kaen asked. "Where is he?"

"He wanted me to let you know, he's at the diner down the road." Mira stated. "He wants to discuss something important with you."

"Okay, I guess I could head there now." Kaen shrugged, downing his drink, before heading off after paying for it.

Before he could actually leave however, Kaen found himself facing four girls, who looked rather displeased.

"Where's Loki?" They all questioned, looking at him.

'Oh boy, these are the girls whose hearts Loki broke.' Kaen thought.

"I've been looking all over, for Loki." The first girl said. "Where is he?"

"I can't believe he ran out on me." Another girl stated.

"What are you doing here huh?" The third girl asked, looking to the fourth.

"I could ask you the same thing." The fourth retorted.

"Loki, come back." The second girl cried.

"Okay, look ladies. First I wanna ask, why you decided to come to me about this?" Kaen asked.

"I saw the two of you at that resort town, having dinner with that child sitting between you." The second woman said, before pointing her finger at him, making the Saiyan lean back as it got in his face. "Fess up, did you seduce Loki and turn him against me?"

"Oh for the love of… no, I didn't seduce him." Kaen groaned. "I'm married, to a woman, and she is currently the one waiting tables behind you."

The four women turned and saw Mina, waiting on tables, while showing her belly, from a side profile.

"So then where is he?" One of the girls asked, as they looked back at Kaen.

"How should I know?" Kaen asked. "Look, the only thing you saw was a couple of guys enjoying some dinner after a bath, because my wife, daughter, and myself invited him to relax with us at the hot springs. Loki's a good guy, and I'm sure he has his reasons, but you need to let it be. Guild life is hard, and dangerous, it's possible he left on a serious job, that he might not come back from."

"So he broke our relationship off to spare me the heartache?" The first girl asked.

"Excuse you? He was in a relationship with me."

"As if, I was his girlfriend."

"No, me."

Kaen just looked at the girls, before he sighed and turned away from them, heading for the exit.

"I'm just gonna go now." Kaen stated.

~Diner~

"Ah, Kaen my boy." Makarov said. "Glad to see you got my message from Mira. Please, have a seat."

"What's this all about Master?" Kaen asked, sitting across from Makarov at the table.

"I wanted to talk with you about something important." Makarov said. "Something that might cause a civil war within Fairy Tail."

"What's the matter?"

"Well, I'm aware of how you managed to hold your own against Laxus, I'm not surprised you were able to do that, but I am glad things didn't escalate further." Makarov said.

"Does this have something to do with the Guild Master Succession?" Kaen asked as a drink was given to him.

"It does my boy, it truly does." Makarov stated.

"I see, so you want me to help you out with picking the next Guild Master or something?" Kaen asked, taking a swig of his drink.

"Actually my boy. I want you to succeed me."

Kaen had to force himself not to spit, causing him to cough as he put his drink down, before looking at Makarov.

"You're joking right?" Kaen asked.

"That's the firs thing you say to being offered the mantle of Guild Master?" Makarov asked.

"Don't get me wrong, I'm honored you chose me. But I'm still the new guy. I haven't been a full fledged member that long, and I'm pretty sure Laxus is going to literally kill me, if he finds out about this." Kaen stated. "Plus, I'm not even S-Class, so that cuts me out of the running doesn't it?"

"Not necessarily." Makarov said. "Outside of the guilds scheduled S-Class Trials, you can schedule a set of trials from the Magic Council to level up to S-Class. They're affordable, but the only problem is, they're so terrifying that no one's wanting to actually do them, and are contempt with just waiting until their guilds scheduled S-Class Trials."

"So… what, am I supposed to just request to be put in a spot for the trials?" Kaen asked.

"Oh no dear boy, you need a Wizard Saint and your Guild Masters approval for scheduling these trials." Makarov said, with a smile.

"That look on your face… You already approved the request, didn't you?" Kaen asked.

"I did indeed." Makarov said.

"Don't I get a say in this?" Kaen inquired.

"Of course you do my boy." Makarov said, sliding a piece of paper and pen in front of him. "This is the official request. It's yet to be submitted because it still needs your consent."

"I see." Kaen stated.

"Think it over, and once you've made your mind up, come speak to me."

"I will." Kaen said. "I wonder how Mina's gonna react to this?"

~Yagi Household~

"Of course I think you should go for it." Mina said, putting the dishes away. "Do you know how rare an opportunity like this actually is?"

"I know this is a great opportunity, but I have to complete like, fifty S-Class quests, before I'm even eligible for the title of Guild Master." Kaen said, washing the dirty dishes. "Not to mention these exams seem challenging in their own right to say the least. Who knows if I'll be able to actually complete them?"

"That doesn't matter. You do realize our grocery bill is stupid expensive, and that we're gonna have a couple more mouths to feed in the future, right?" Mina asked, putting a hand to her belly. "If you become an S-Class Wizard, we could afford better food, and maybe even go to Akane Resort as a family. Because Beerus above knows, that's not gonna be an option, once these two are born."

"I get that." Kaen sighed. "Maybe this opportunity wouldn't be such a bad idea after all."

"That's the spirit." Mina smiled, kissing Kaen on the cheek.

Knock-knock-knock.

"I got it." Eri said, hopping down from her chair.

Kaen and Mina followed Eri from the kitchen, as the little girl grabbed the door, revealing Lucy standing there, a concerned look on her face.

"Lucy, what are you doing here?" Kaen asked.

"It's Loki." Lucy said. "Grey came to my house, and told me he just up and left the guild. He quit being a Fairy Tail wizard like it was nothing."

"I'll grab my coat, I'll help you search for him." Kaen said.

"Before that, I need you to tell me something." Lucy said. "I need you to tell me, why Leo the Lion Spirit, is here without a master holding command over his key."

~Karen's Grave~

All was quiet, as Loki stood before the Grave of his former master. He'd been torn up about it for the years he'd spent on earth, and now he was ready to fully embrace his fate.

"Thought we'd find you here." Lucy stated.

Loki turned around to see Lucy standing there with Kaen at her side.

"This is where she died, where your master died, didn't she Loki?" Lucy asked. "No, not Loki. Leo the Lion Spirit."

"So you figured it out." Loki sighed, before looking to the Saiyan next to her. "Did you tell her Kaen?"

"Lucy figured it out on her own, I just filled her in on how I already knew. She did some research herself, before Grey told her you were gone." Kaen stated. "Then she came and confronted me, about what I knew."

"How long have you been on your own without a master?" Lucy asked.

"It's been about three years, since I killed Karen." Loki explained.

"I still call bull on you killing her." Kaen stated firmly. "That would be just like saying I was the one who destroyed Planet Vegeta, killing off all but a handful of Saiyans."

Lucy looked at him in shock. She had no idea that's how endangered the Saiyan race had become, or how they'd mostly died out.

"True it wasn't by my hands. But we got into an argument, I was tired of her abusing her spirits, so I kept my gate open by force, which led her to be helpless in against what I was able to do. I was trying to save a friend of mine. Aries, Karen treated us like toys, like mere common objects." Loki explained. "I forced my gate to stay open until she would relinquish mine and Aries contracts, in turn it led her to desperate measures, which got her killed."

"Then it wasn't your fault." Lucy stated.

"You were trying to protect your friend. You were trying to do what was right." Kaen stated. "Whoever thought it was right to banish you to die here was wrong, you don't deserve to be here for so long without recharging your energy, it was cruel for them to exile you, just for standing up for a friend. I've said this before, but I'm not gonna let a friend of mine, die for a crime he didn't commit!"

"He's right, you don't deserve to die here, you're the king of the zodiac and you deserve to be given a second chance." Lucy shouted.

Just as soon as she said that, Loki keeled over in pain, his body phasing in and out of the dimensional realms. Kaen grabbed the Celestial spirit by the shoulders and began pouring his energy into Loki, attempting his best to keep him from vanishing, and anchored in their realm.

"Stop, what are you doing?" Loki questioned. "Let go, or you're both going to vanish with me."

"We won't let you go, we won't leave you to die." Kaen stated, gritting his teeth in pain as he began phasing in and out of reality with Loki.

"You idiot, what about Mina? The babies on the way? What about them, are you just gonna leave her to raise them all on her own?" Loki questioned.

"No." Kaen said. "I'm not gonna leave her."

Kaen's aura flared up, like white hot flames enveloping his body as he pushed himself further past his limits.

"But that doesn't mean I'm giving up on you either!" Kaen exclaimed.

"WHOEVER SAID THIS WAS RIGHT IS DEAD WRONG…" Lucy shouted.

After saying this, a force of energy, clapped through the air, pushing Lucy and Kaen away from Loki, causing his sunglasses to drop from his face. Before the glasses could hit the ground, time and space seemed to freeze and the waterfall seemed to stop, before going in reverse, as the night sky began looking like they were seeing it through a kaleidoscope, before a large figure manifested itself, within an illumination of light, revealing an armored giant of a man.

"Who dares say, my judgement is wrong?"

'What the, this can't be happening. Did the Celestial Spirit King really just come here from his throne just because someone said he's wrong?' Loki thought questionably. 'He didn't come down when Kaen said it. So why now, is it because Lucy's a Celestial Wizard?'

"I do." Kaen stated Getting to his feet, jumping to the very edge of the cliff. "My name is Kaen D. Yagi. I am a Saiyan of royal blood. An' a friend of Leo the Lions."

"What you're doing is wrong." Lucy stated. "He doesn't deserve to be punished for what he did. He was just defending a friend in need. Don't do this, please."

"Though it was not by his hand, Leo the Lion is still responsible for the death of his master, thus going against his contract, and being punished with banishment."

"That doesn't matter, he was standing up for a friend, trying to protect her. He was willing to sacrifice everything for her." Kaen stated, raising his leg before kicking backwards, breaking Karens gravestone in two.

This sudden act of sacrilege shocked Lucy and Loki, before Kaen stomped his foot down, and looked up at the Celestial Spirit King, with his arms crossed over his chest.

"You would exile your own friend, just because he was standing up for his friends, your subjects, who were being hurt, and abused at the hands of an abusive self entitle brat in an adults body?" Kaen stated. "You sir, are no true King. You're not even worthy of the title of a nobleman. If you allowed for this behavior to take place, then you have no right to judge others, when you yourself have failed to protect your people!"

"You dare, to desecrate the grave of a Celestial Wizard?"

"I dare, to stand up for those who are being mistreated." Kaen stated. "You have no idea, the kind of pain Loki has had to endure while being here. If you truly claimed to be his friend, then you'd see that some of the laws of the Celestial Spirit world, are wrong. Leo, should not be punished, for Karens stupidity, of choosing to go out on a job when she knew, she didn't have the magic for it."

Kaen turned around, his back towards the Celestial Spirit King, before he moved to the other side of the grave stone, and picked up the piece he destroyed.

"Don't you see that by punishing Leo, you're doing nothing but depriving the Zodiacs of their King?" Kaen questioned, the gem in his chest protruding through his suit, and shining brightly, as Kaen's hand lit up with heat, before he placed the stone back together.

"What is he doing?" Lucy questioned.

"I can't believe it." Loki gasped.

"Karen, was an abusive woman. Loki can vouch, for it." Kaen stated, moving away from the stone, as the crack that formed the two halves lit up, before vanishing. "She mistreated her Celestial Spirits, and worse she threatened them with great harm, that could have killed any one of them, for good. Loki should be rewarded for his efforts, not punished for the failures of others."

There was a tense moment of silence, as Kaen and the Celestial Spirit King stared one another down. The moment passed, and ended as something shocking happened. The King of the Celestial Realm, began to laugh.

"It has been… too long, since anyone, has deigned to even attempt talking to me in such a way. How prideful you must be, mortal."

"I'd like to consider myself, less prideful, and more courageous." Kaen stated.

"Young one, you have spoken honestly from the heart, and you've spoken your beliefs. Your words have made me come to realize, that there might not be anything wrong with our friends, but with the laws themselves. So I hereby grant Leo the Lion, passage back to the Celestial Spirit Realm, and shall be in service to the human girl, who's stood by his side throughout this endeavor."

Kaen looked over his shoulder, to Lucy, and Loki, smiling at their looks of disbelief, before his attention was drawn back to the Celestial Spirit King.

"Young one. Hold out your hands."

Kaen did so, unsure of what was to happen, before the Celestial Spirit King held out one of his own, his palm completely covering Kaen, before it lit up with magical energy. Kaen looked at the palm covering him, before he looked down at his forearms, gasping when he saw that his bracers, had been replaced with what looked like black samurai gauntlets, with armored knuckle covers.

"What are these?" The Saiyan asked.

"Those, my young warrior, are the Celestial Breakers."

"No way." Loki said, running up to Kaens side. "Oh man, this is the highest honor the Celestial Spirit King can bestow upon anyone. These are like a national treasure in the Spirit Realm."

"So… what do they do exactly?" Kaen inquired.

"So long as you have the will, these gauntlets will allow you to tap into my strength, both physical, and magical. Use them wisely, and never stop being true to who you are."

"Thank you, I promise to take good care of them." Kaen stated, putting his arms to his sides, and bowing to the Celestial Spirit King.

"But be warned. Should you force yourself, past your limits once too often, then you will lose yourself, to the same madness of the warrior, who wore these four hundred years ago."

"Right… I'll be sure, to keep myself from doing that." Kaen said. "I swear, to do my best, to remain a straight forward hero, and to live up to the expectations you've set, with bestowing these to me."
