Erza put on a sweet smile as she followed Jellal to the recreation area. He had a hazy look in his eyes as he played with his yukata.
A smile graced her angelic face as she saw the drunken man act like a child, being enamoured by every game in the recreation area.
He decided it would be optimal for them to warm up and shot towards the table and grabbed onto the paddle. It was a humorous sight to see him rotate his arm like a whirlwind in an attempt to warm his shoulder up.
Erza took the other side and grabbed onto the paddle, and took an offensive stance. Jellal did have a lazy, disinterested look in his eyes, but he was the last person she would underestimate. Even in that state, he could be someone to pull the rug from underneath her at the least expected moment.
She decided to play at her best from the get-go and give him no chance at victory. Jellal was someone who would grow stronger with each game, and if his confidence were to boost itself right before their match with Mira and Laxus, things would not look right for her.
7-0
For four straight rounds.
That was the result of her match with Jellal and a massive smile etched itself on her face, as Jellal looked absolutely distraught over losing so horribly. In his defense, he was sloshed all the way to heaven, but it was definitely a favourable result to Erza.
"Did you practice a lot?", he grumbled as he toyed with his paddle, checking it for non-existent defects. By the way he was blinking rapidly, Erza could obviously see that he had not sobered up at all.
"Are you being a sore loser?", she teased him with a condescending grin on her face. Jellal ruffled his hair and mumbled under his own breath.
"Perhaps", be spat out with a soft pout. This was dangerous. If Jellal continued to act as cute as he was at the moment, she was sure she would lose her self-control and pounce at him at the first chance.
She grabbed onto his arm and guided him elsewhere, in a vain attempt to control her own feelings. The timing of the bride-to-be could not have been better...or worse as she entered the recreation area in a rather sour mood.
Laxus followed her, with his hands shoved inside the other sleeves of his yukata, and the man carried a rather flushed expression, but it appeared that Laxus could hold his liquor a bit stronger than the Meteor mage.
Jellal rushed forward and grabbed Mirajane's hands, and shook them as hard as he could with a pleasant smile on his face. Mirajane's brain rattled inside her skull, and she could make out that Jellal was congratulating her on getting married, but the woman had to be alive to get married. If Erza did not step forward at the right time, he probably would have torn her arms from her torso, with the force with which he was shaking them.
The silver-haired woman turned towards her fiance expecting some sort of response from the golden-haired man, but the man was far too busy staring at a painting of three scantily clad women hung up on the wall.
"Erza...what do you say we play a game of table tennis?", she growled and grabbed onto the red coloured paddle. Erza responded with a massive grin and grabbed the blue-coloured one on the opposite side.
"Doubles?", Erza asked. If she were to fight with Mirajane, it could be anyone's game. But if Laxus and Jellal were to be thrown in, the game would surely tilt against her favour.
Jellal was completely sloshed and would probably lose to a five-year-old child, while Laxus seemed to be much more stable. He was conscious of his surroundings while Jellal was staring at everything like a child in a candy store.
Perhaps this was the innocent troublemaker Jellal may have grown into if his childhood was not ruined. Her heart grew heavy for a moment before she shook the feeling off.
Mirajane agreed to her question and dragged Laxus to the table. The man started to toy with the paddle with a stupid grin on his face, while Jellal stared at everyone in the room with a blank look on his face.
Mirajane decided to start and served with all of her might. A part of Erza wanted to fake her strength, but Mirajane was not someone to fool easily, and if she were going to go easy on the latter, she would throw a bigger fit.
Erza decided it would be better to bet on Laxus being more capable than a five-year-old or at least stop being a nuisance to Mirajane if Erza had any chance at losing.
Mirajane growled from the depths of her stomach and smashed the ball right into the gap between Erza and Jellal. The latter whistled and clapped in appreciation, and Erza faked a shade of disappointment.
Mirajane was in a tirade and threw all of her might into smashing the hapless plastic balls, while Laxus was sober enough to support her. What worried Erza was that over time, Jellal began to grow conscious of the game, and while he was nowhere close to being useful, it was still alarming. She had to close the game fast.
All Mirajane and Laxus needed was one more point to win. Erza and Jellal had not scored a single point, and knowing her best friend, Erza knew that she would not make her forget this defeat so easily, but it was a sacrifice she was willing to make.
"JUST GET IT OVER WITH!", Mirajane screamed as she smashed the plastic ball towards Jellal. A soft smile plastered itself on Erza's face as the result was set, but before she could groan out, the ball was sent back with almost twice the velocity and Mirajane audibly squealed when the ball was sent less than an inch from her cheek.
Erza turned towards him in fear and Jellal rubbed the back of his neck, as he adjusted his posture. His face was no longer flushed, and he stared at the scoreboard.
Erza winced as she remembered how quickly he could sober himself down, and a part of her wanted to give him some water infused with alcohol yet again.
"Wow, it was that bad, huh? I'm fine now. We should be able to give a comeback, or at least have an honourable defeat", he grinned. Erza returned a watery smile as her brain began to overheat itself.
SMASH
There was always the chance that Jellal completely forgot about the things he said while he was drunk, right?
SMASH
Right?
SMASH
RIGHT?
SMASH
It was just as he had said - a next-to-impossible comeback. They had won. He never bothered to give Erza the opportunity to make an error.
Mirajane hissed at the two of them while Laxus laughed his heart out and ruffled Jellal's hair, holding him in a headlock as he promised to beat him tenfold next time.
"I'm tired and sweaty. I'm going to go back for another dip in the onsen, okay?"
Erza's nervous laugh was a faint giveaway, and she tried to bolt out of the room until a powerful hand grabbed her waist and pulled her back towards him.
That knowing, condescending grin on his face! Oh, how she hated, but loved it. It was a sort of guilty pleasure of hers, but this backfire was far too much for her ego to handle.
Jellal tucked her hair behind her ear as she faintly tried to hide her blush. He brought his lips close to her ear, heating her up with his hot breath.
"I don't remember much of what I did while I was drunk..."
Erza waited with bated breath, hanging on to a small ray of hope that he was showing the affection he had missed for the past few weeks.
"..but I do remember a promise..."
FUCK
"..one where you said I can do anything to you...anything..."
FUCK FUCK FUCK
Erza tried her best to feign ignorance, but the man did NOT make it easy for her. He pushed her down onto the table with a devilish grin on his face.
Erza whined but grabbed onto his yukata and bit her lip, waiting for him to make his first move.
"I don't know what you were expecting me to do, but I can't say I am an exhibitionist"
She hissed and slapped his forearm in embarrassment, and the man let out a simper. He truly was having a blast, toying with her.
"Then...should we go back to our room?"
"I thought you wanted to go back into the onsen", he mentioned, as he raised an eyebrow. Erza looked away and pursed her lips, almost pouting like a child.
"No need", she whined through the pout and locked her arms around his neck.
"Then...whatever happens tomorrow, you're gonna take responsibility for it. I won't hesitate to throw you under the bus if Mira-"
"I don't care", he growled and lifted her up. Erza yelped and wrapped her legs around his waist by reflex.
"You are mine tonight. All...mine"
Elsewhere
"Don't... you'll ruin your nails"
Lucy lazily pulled down Mirajane's hand from her mouth, as the former lazily scrolled through her phone.
"LUCY!"
The mentioned woman shot up, throwing her phone into the air. She stared at the Takeover mage mildly in annoyance. The latter scooted over to her side and grabbed her hands with a devious look on her face.
"You slept the entire time, didn't you? So you are not that sleepy, right?"
The blonde did not like the direction in which the conversation was heading towards.
"The wedding is around the evening, so you can have the entire morning to yourself, and you don't need to help with the morning preparations. What do you say?"
Lucy visibly gulped and whimpered, as she stared at Levy and Juvia in desperation. Naturally, Mirajane's smile headed towards the two of them, resulting in three annoyed groans.
She did not say it loud, but her face literally screamed one sentence - tell me what Erza did, so that I can have an excuse to beat her up tomorrow.
"I have no trust in that woman. She avoids a girls-only sleepover, all to be with that man of hers...which is not a problem, but KNOWING her...she will not be able to walk straight tomorrow, people will notice it and make fun of her, and...and...
MY WEDDING WILL BE KNOWN AS THE ONE WHERE THE MAID OF HONOUR GOT PLUGGED SO HARD SHE COULD NOT WALK STRAIGHT!"
The three of them gave up. It would be a better option to stay awake the whole night rather than listen to Mirajane's nightlong ramblings.
In Jellal's Room
Erza tiptoed towards the room and slid the door open. She peeked inside, hoping to see Jellal lying on the futon and giving her a grin, but she was wrong.
He sat next to the window, with his hair let down free, with a towel around his waist and his yukata over his shoulders like a haori. He had a pleasant smile on his face as he stared at the picturesque view.
"Here already?", he asked her without moving a muscle. Erza pouted and made her way closer to him. She undid the sash of her yukata and bit her lip seductively as she cleared her throat.
Jellal tapped on his lap, and she followed suit, taking her seat. Erza hummed in pleasure as she felt his warmth against her body and Jellal pressed his cheek against her chest.
"Well?", she whispered, waiting for an answer and Jellal leaned back to face her, before raising an eyebrow.
"I was joking, Erza. Just...stay with me. That is more than enough for me. I was just teasing you back then"
Erza growled in anger and pushed him down on the floor, grabbing him by his shoulders.
"You cannot do that to me!", she snapped, as she breathed almost like a feral animal.
"I have missed you a lot, Erza. I know it has just been a couple of weeks..."
Jellal stroked her cheek with the back of his fingers and before Erza could blink, their positions were switched.
"..but I don't think I can control myself. If I start now...I know for sure that Mirajane will find or hear of it. Tell me to stop", he growled as his hands began to shake.
Erza vehemently shook her head, and left herself exposed, almost like a bait...an irresistible bait that Jellal could never say no to.
"Last...chance...Scarlet", he growled as his hand grabbed the inner hem of her yukata, exposing the inner curves of her breasts. Erza arched her back in response, as the cloth slowly slid off of her shoulders. Her response was more than obvious, and that seductive look on her face only made it worse for the Meteor mage.
Jellal grinned in response as his eyes grew a darker shade. Erza shivered as she awaited his next move, but responded with an equally devious grin.
Like a beast, he devoured her lips and Erza flung her limbs, grabbing onto his body like a leech, and returned his fervour with almost twice the force.
Tongues wrestled, soft moans echoed inside the room, and their bodies began to grow slick with their sweat, and Jellal separated his lips from Erza's, as ropes of saliva still joined their lips like loose, wavering bridges.
It was not enough for her, and Jellal could only agree with her yet again.
"Very well. Don't regret it, love"
