"You have been causing quite a bit of chaos." The man in lab coat said as he poured himself a glass on Don Perignon.
"Killing one of the stronger gods in the world and then killing the younger brother of the current Beelzebub all the while leaving his house on fire and the rest of his family in critical conditions."
"I really hope that you aren't going to try to tell me to stop."
"Oh no, not at all, just wanted to make sure you knew the effect you were having on the world." The man said with a shake of his head as he took a sip from his glass.
"I'd say that it was about time that the world was given a reality check when it came to hurting humanity, and if you disagree; I would have to doubt your wisdom for the first time, Thoth."
"As cheeky as the day I found you, can't you show a little more respect for your poor teacher who spends every day wondering if you'll slip and break your neck like the idiot you are." Thoth, the Egyptian god of wisdom, mock cried while Katsuo simply glared at him.
"My apologies, it is rather hard to respect a man who spends his life in a basement like some old cat lady but with baboons instead."
"Don't bring my baboons into this." Thoth glared at his student. His baboons were awesome, Katsuo was just mad that he wasn't as talented at basketball as them.
"Whatever, can I just leave? I still have work to do." Katuso said with a sigh but before he could leave, Thoth was upon him and started to inspect him.
"Such impatience. You should take some time to rest you know, human bodies get stronger during rest after strenuous activities. Your spectacle with Ajuka Beelzebub's family should count as that."
"Stop it." Katsuo slapped Thoth's hands away, looking less than pleased. Seeing that his old teacher had nothing important to actually say, he turned around to leave but...
"When were you gonna tell me about your newfound authority by the way?" A question, asked very nonchalantly, stopped him dead in his tracks. In such a situation, Katsuo used a method almost as old as humanity itself to try to run away. Denial.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Don't play dumb, no matter how easy it must come for you." Thoth, the god of wisdom, snorted.
"It's about time you remember who I am kid. I am Thoth, one of the first gods who came out from the sea of chaos. I am one of the oldest gods of this world Katuso, you are an eternity too young to pull wool over my eyes." And then there was an awkward silence.
"...I wasn't sure... how to tell you without being..."
"Threatening?" Thoth said with a smile, no judgement in his eyes.
"I understand kid, you killed a god and now you have a piece of his authority; somehow without his divinity. If any of the other gods realize that, you would be in big trouble. And no way you could tell that in a polite conversation."
"Not that it matters, since you managed to figure it out so easily." Katsuo said with a groan, an aura of disappointment oozing off of his body. Which was answered by a snort from Thoth.
"Don't get too sad, as I already told you; I am Thoth. Nobody else in my pantheon would be able to tell, as a matter of fact most beings in this world couldn't tell either. Maybe those ridiculous guys from Trimurti might be able to, and maybe Odin, but none of those guys would care about it much. Not even Odin, as long as you don't go after his pantheon." Katsuo shook his head at that.
"Odin and his ilk may not appear to be the most civilized beings, but they have been mostly good to mankind. I have no quarrel with them."
"But you do with most of the other pantheons." Thoth deadpanned, not exactly happy with the path his student had chosen for himself.
"More like I have problems with certain gods and the pantheons seem intent on protecting their worthless hides." Katsuo shrugged with a smile.
"Same shit, not that it matters. Tell me how you managed to get Mikaboshi's authority." The god of wisdom rolled his eyes, an action copied by his student before the shadows below hims started shift and the black katana he made from Amatsu Mikaboshi's corpse rose from it.
"Fascinating." Thoth breathed out, looking at the absolute marvel in his student's hands.
"So this is your Balance Breaker." Katsuo nodded at that.
"Annihilation Maker: Dustsmith Breath. It can create monsters out of materials I feed into it, resulting in monsters that should not have existed in this world."
"So that sword really is a monster, some sort of symbiotic being then?" Thoth said with a tilt of his head and Katsuo nodded.
"As expected of the Sacred Gear made from the remains of Adam, the man created from dust and breathed life by Jehovah." As he uttered that name, a look of of nostalgia and sadness appeared in Thoth's eyes. His relationship ship with the Biblical God may have been less than pleasant due to that cruel punishment from Moses, but the death of such a being was still big loss in his eyes.
"What will you do now?" He changed the subject, not like there was much of a point of talking about it any further. Or try to change his student's mind about making more symbiotic monster weapons like that for his friends.
"I will send Sieg and Jeanne to the Vatican. It wouldn't do well if the Church was to feel left out after all of their own atrocities." Katsuo said with a dark look in his eyes as he sheathed his sword back into his shadow.
"There is a also a matter we have to take care of in America, so I'll go there with Alcides."
"Hmm, a god killer taking the inheritor of a god's humanity to the new resting place of Olympians. You sure you want to do that?" Thoth said with a raised eyebrow, such a situation sounded like a disaster in the making.
"I couldn't care less about the reaction of those morons on their stupid mountain. I heard from Hades that his father is trying to get out of his prison with the help of some demigods, if they are too incompetent to deal with a few brats who know not how big the world is then I might as well do it for them."
