Go Karting
Pallet Town, 24th December 2023, 4:17pm.
Delia set a platter full of caramelized chicken in the middle of the dinner table. Nodding to herself, she scurried to the living room, to see her son put up the last of the decorations on a hook near the roof. She smiled. The decorations looked perfect.
She opened her mouth to compliment her son, when the doorbell rang. Ash's head snapped up. "I'll get it!" he bounded to the front door with a lopsided grin on his face. He soon returned with two of his friends in tow. Delia regarded the two brunettes. "Hello there Gary, Leaf." Leaf smiled and greeted her back politely, while Gary nodded respectfully.
The doorbell rang again, and this time, Delia went to get the door, returning with a giddy Dawn, a glaring Paul, a smirking Drew, a pouting May, and smiling Misty. Ash waved. "Hey you guys!" "Hi!"
After about thirty minutes of casualties, the group was finally seated on the couch, conversing about their day. Then, Dawn turned to Ash. "So, what're we doing first?" she asked, her eyes glimmering with excitement. Ash grinned. "Well, we're going go karting at ten!" he exclaimed. The group cheered. "Alright!"
At the track, 24th December 2023. 10:27pm
The Misty bent over, panting. "Hurry up!" she raged at her companions, who were collapsed on the ground from exhaustion. They got up slowly. May pointed at Ash accusingly. "If you had finished the food faster, we wouldn't be in this mess!" she huffed. Ash glared. "I was faster than you wasn't-mph!" Drew covered Ash's mouth with his hand. "Not. Now." he growled, previously annoyed by the fact that he was late. The Drew Hayden didn't do late. May stuck her tongue out at Ash.
Dawn bounded to the gate. "Let's go, you guys!"
Fifteen minutes later, they were all seated in four different go karts: Paul and Dawn, May and Drew, Ash and Misty, and Leaf and Gary.
May tapped Drew, who was behind the wheel, on his shoulder. "Can you go like, super fast?" she whispered to him innocently. Drew blushed at her childish action. He always thought it was unbearably cute when she did things like that. "Drew?" he snapped out of his thoughts and turned to May.
"You want super fast?" he asked the brunette. She nodded, her eyes sparkling. Drew felt his face grow hotter. "You'll get super fast." he finished, stepping on the gas, as May cheered.
"Hey Paul?" Paul turned to look at the beautiful bluenette who had called his name. "Hn?" he grunted. "Can I please drive?" she asked ever so innocently. Paul looked in her eyes, trying to detect something. "No." Dawn pouted. "Please? I'll go super slow." she pleaded. Paul sighed as he slid into the seat beside her. "Fine." Dawn cheered as she got into the front seat and stepped on the gas. "What the heck Troublesome?" Paul shouted. Dawn turned to him and winked. "Thanks for letting me drive, Paulie." She cooed mischievously, before turning her attention back to the front.
"I call the wheel!" Leaf and Gary said at the same time, before looking at each other and darting to the front seat. Unfortunately for Leaf, Gary managed to slide in before her. She pouted before seating herself beside him. Gary looked at her. "Aww… sorry Leafy. Maybe next time." he laughed a little, as Leaf punched him hard on the shoulder.
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Fine! I'll show you!" Ash hollered, slipping into the front seat. Misty frowned. "You better not kill me Ketchum." she threatened, before getting in beside Ash. He grinned. "Don't worry Mist, I have my driver's license. I know what I'm doing." he winked, before stepping on the gas three fourths of the way.
An hour later, something fluffy and cold landed on Dawn's nose. "Snow!" she exclaimed, as everyone looked up. Sure enough, snow was flowing through the sky, as more and more of the thin flakes landed on the group.
Suddenly, the clock tower nearby chimed twelve times. It was Christmas!
As soon as the fifth chime rang, Ash turned to Misty, blood red as he grabbed her face and kissed her. Misty blinked, but reciprocated happily.
Dawn turned to Paul and kissed his cheek. "Merry Christmas," she whispered, tracing his jawline. Paul looked at her dumbfounded, before smirking. "You missed," he whispered back, as he captured her lips.
Fireworks exploded behind the group as the pairs huddled together to keep warm.
Gary turned to Leaf. "Hey Leaf? I just want you to know, that you're the most amazing girl I've ever met, and that I love you." he spoke. When he saw her eyes widen, he added hastily. "I mean I get it if you don't like me back, you don't have to-" he was cut off by a pair of lips on his. Leaf pulled back. "You talk too much, pretty boy." When Gary turned red, she added. "But of course, that's partly why I love you." she managed, before Gary caught her lips in another kiss.
May cuddled closer to Drew. Drew blushed a little. All of a sudden, May turned to Drew. "This is romantic, don't you think?" she asked, a hint of slyness in her eyes. Drew broke out in a cold sweat. "Uh huh. Your point?" he asked, a little unnerved at this new version of May.
May grabbed his collar and pulled him closer. He could feel her hot breath on his now completely red face. "So, when were you planning to make your move?" she asked, slyly. Drew's eyes widened, as he regained his composure, and got angry. "Now," he growled, as he crashed his lips against hers, muffling a surprised squeak from the girl.
Though surprised, she happily kissed back, just as aggressive. About thirty minutes later, the gang was headed home, all with the same bright glows on their faces.
Thanks so much for reading! I was so creative this time, you know, just adding all the clichés in one story. So creative. The Future's Young Fingerprint chapter coming tomorrow! Thanks again for reading!
