It'd be an understatement to say Luna and Artemis didn't miss their home planet, Mau. However, an order from Queen Belle kept them on the moon to maintain their alliance. Although their adopted children were unaware of this requirement, their biological kittens were. Furthermore, as Luna and Artemis were the ambassadors of Mau, all of their kittens had been presented a brooch (for the girls) or rose (for the boys) used to wield magic!

Yet, Luna and Artemis weren't given similar items because they'd been sent to the moon for safety when Galaxia attacked! Queen Belle had no time to provide them with such tools. Therefore, she'd bestowed them on kittens ASAP! What concerned the felines was that Queen Belle didn't know Elizabeth's traumatic past. Nor how Rose and Quartz had felt about humans. Could this responsibility trigger them?

"Tag! You're it!" Comet tapped Asteroid with her right paw.

"Oh, Comet..." Asteroid groaned. He was not one for exercise, and knowing Comet was too fast for him, he gave up on his elder sister. Instead, the black-tipped white kitten turned his sights on his slower, younger sisters and chased them.

"Diana, Liz, stick to me." Rose's longer, streaking gait kept the two littlest kittens lagging.

So, the bigger, reddish kitten flipped them onto her back and kept going. Also, her eyes frantically searched for her brother, Quartz. But either he had chosen a perfect hiding spot, or he had already ditched them! Quartz was known to abandon a game when he no longer wanted to play. It was in his nature as a natural loner. Despite the kittens loving Quartz dearly, they disliked it when he just up and left without telling them! Rose covered the younger girls up in a bush, and she dived into a nearby patch of bright red flowers but kept watch.

Seconds later, Asteroid walked into view. "Come out, come out wherever you are!" Artemis's son singsonged playfully. Diana and Elizabeth ducked to conceal themselves better as the green-eyed feline approached the bush. But they did not need to as Rose leaped out to distract him and called, "Catch me if you can!" Asteroid raced off after her.

"Now's our chance to get to the safe zone," Elizabeth whispered.

"Do you think Comet made it?" Diana asked.

"I don't doubt it. She's the swiftest out of all of us! Plus, that was the direction she was heading after tagging Asteroid." Elizabeth explained calmly. They power-walked toward the Crystal Palace's front steps.

If the littlest kittens could make it, the "hiders" would win! They saw Comet waiting for them! Unexpectedly, Rose zipped around the corner with Asteroid behind her, and they tried to halt but crashed into Diana and Elizabeth! The gray and indigo kittens began to cry in agony. Comet, Asteroid, Rose, and even Quartz rushed to comfort them. However, Quartz's attention was fixed on something much more intriguing. A small beam of light shot down from space's blackness and hit the ground, creating a tiny symbol!

"It's a message from Mau!" Comet shouted in excitement at seeing the yellow, pink-tipped, cat-like face crest!

Rising out of the crest as if it were water, a mini-hologram of a gorgeous, tall, graceful lady with floor-length, blush pink hair that continuously billowed behind her and heterochromia eyes, one blue and one gold, materialized! Unlike other citizens of Mau, who chose to remain in human or cat form, this woman seemed capable of maintaining herself mid-morph!

Also, unlike most other cats, her bushy tail and cat ears are gold, and she has freckles under her eyes. Her outfit consisted of a golden diadem embellished with catseye gems to match her chocker and brooch, purple silk gown, and opera gloves with fuschia blossoms. Next to her stood a man none of the kittens had seen.

He was also incredibly handsome, tall, and graceful, with long, blueish-violet hair, cat ears, and tail. He likewise had heterochromia eyes and was in a mid-morph state as well. He wore a golden coronet, though it was the least extravagant. He wore a white suit with gold trim, red cuffs, gloves, and coattails. He had red shoulder pads with gold trim, a gold medallion with a green cross brooch. Finally, a blue sash with teal trim, tan pants, and brown shoes is over his right shoulder. Between them was a teenage girl.

This female was in the same mid-morph state with similar facial structure, eyes, freckles, and tail as the older woman. However, her hair is blueish-violet with multicolored blossoms woven into it. Other clothing is a golden medallion, ruby earrings, and a cyan gown with a see-through, cape-like material at the back and opera gloves.

"Queen Belle! Princess Suzu!" Asteroid exclaimed in excitement.

"Who is this man?" Asteroid's black, white-tipped sister tilted her head.

"Children of Luna and Artemis, I don't know how much time we have, so I will keep this short: Mau requires your assistance. Our planet's subjects are being preyed upon by a demon called Marcus Brown. I don't know if he came from Mau, as he possesses some of our features. Also, this is my husband and Suzu's father, King Lune." Queen Belle started as King Lune bowed.

"My father and I will be helping you battle. The brooches and roses my mother gave you will help you transform. Thus allowing you access to all the magic bestowed upon you." Princess Suzu reminded them. After that, the hologram fizzled out and ended.

"Uh...Is there a rewind feature? I may need to hear that twice to make sense of it." Quartz questioned.

"Mau needs our assistance..." Quartz's amber-eyed sister repeated as she knew that one statement meant so much to them.

"Marcus Brown...Why does the name sound so familiar?" Asteroid pondered.

Before Asteroid could contemplate further, Luna called them to accompany her and Artemis to the Crystal Palace command center. Luckily, a recording of Queen Belle's message was stored there for Quartz to listen to again, and they could get to Mau from there. Also, Luna answered Asteroid's question of who Marcus Brown was/

Marcus was a former human from Earth who fell in love with the idea of rituals for everlasting life. Pursuing such a thing, he butchered his entire family and even subjected himself to torturous body mutations! Pulling up what Marcus might look like after his transformations (as no one had seen him for years), Artemis gagged!

Looking up, if this is the same man Belle mentioned, the kittens were in for a fight! The abomination had bat-like ears, fangs, and wings. However, they had the nose, whiskers, claws, and tail of a cat! Other than the enhanced senses this form provided, various reports from people on Earth stated that 'while they slept, a sound entered their ears, and they were forced to follow and do as it commanded. Then, they awoke the next morning feeling like they had been working all night!'

"We have to hurry!" Comet yelled in urgency as she got the gateway prepared.

Diana caught her parents' proud but anxious expressions and rubbed against them, "Don't worry, Mother. We'll come back safe, Father." Fearing what could happen to them, Luna nuzzled each of her kittens.

"Quartz, you are the eldest of our kittens. Will you protect your siblings?" Artemis asked.

"Of course!" The aforementioned dark grey, almost black, kitten vowed. Despite Quartz's bad traits, his best trait is how protective he is of his family.

"Should we turn human before we go in?" Rose questioned.

"Marcus doesn't know we exist, so going as cats gives us the element of surprise," Asteroid explained.

"You and your sisters are brilliant." Rose complimented, making Asteroid blush.

"Thank you, Rose!" Those mentioned female kittens blushed, too, but in happiness.

As the gateway opened, Quartz dived in! "He should wait until it's fully open." Comet waited but came in immediately after the portal fully opened and was stable. The last three kittens joined Asteroid, and they go together. Exiting the Crystal Gateway on Mau, a girl with lilac hair, bluish-green eyes, and a pink bow choker immediately escorted them to Queen Belle, King Lune, and Princess Suzu, who looked distressed. When they saw who the kittens were...

"Oh, good! You received our message. Looks like you came immediately; you didn't even transform into humans." Queen Belle smiled.

Quartz bowed, "Forgive us, your majesties. We know it is custom to transform into a human before coming before you. Yet we figured we would have the element of surprise on our enemy if we remained cats for now."

"Arise. I am impressed with your decision. Therefore, I will let customs slip this once. Our situation is dire, so I don't wish to waste time on pleasantries. As soon as you are ready, I want you to patrol the city with Sailor Mau." King Lune commanded.

"If you will, your Highnesses, we know a bit about our adversary." Luna's eldest daughter informed the royals on what they had learned about Marcus.

"Well...that is more than we figured out; the more we know, the better." Queen Belle became more fretted with each new fact she learned.

"If I may, why was King Lune not here last time?" Quartz asked, a bit suspicious of this unknown gentleman as is his way.

"My husband is not here frequently as he is off strengthening our alliances with other planets should a force like Galaxia attack again. He is a better diplomat than I am. He returned to help in the battles as he is the greatest swordsman on Mau." Queen Belle blushed a bit in embarrassment.

As the sovereign of Mau, the kittens assumed Queen Belle knew the most about being a diplomat. Or that she had some secret, magical, powerful weapon. Sadly, she did not. Quartz could not wait to see him in action because he was the best swordsman! Off to the side, Suzu conversed with the servant girl, whom she seemed to be a good friend.

"Who is the kind girl who escorted us here?" Comet asked, curious and trying to be as polite as possible.

"My name is Mikki. I am a devoted servant to Queen Belle, King Lune, and Princess Suzu." Mikki didn't look like a servant! Besides her bow, Mikki wore a silk, off-the-shoulders, white gown!

"Why are you dressed like a princess?" Diana questioned.

"Really? Do you think I look like a princess? I knew we got the look right!" Mikki squealed in joy.

"What's going on?" Quartz needed clarification about who was what.

"Mikki came up with the idea and volunteered to pose as a foreign princess to lure Marcus out for us to fight." King Lune patted Mikki's shoulder confidently.

"While that's a brilliant plan, are you sure she's safe?" Rose asked, worry evident in her eyes.

"If worse comes to worst, I'll change into a cat and escape." Mikki smiled.

"Mikki...where is your family?" Asteroid glanced around but did not see any other servants matching Mikki.

"I was born a stray and abandoned." Mikki's smile turned strained and sad.

"Most of our servants are strays we took in to give them a chance at a better life." Queen Belle revealed.

"That sounds just like something Neo-Queen Serenity would do." Rose complimented, deeply honoring Queen Belle.

"She did do that for us...and Elizabeth." Quartz reminded his sister.

"I'm pleased you think so highly of me, Rose. Now that we have all the pieces for our plan let's put it into action!" Queen Belle had her husband, daughter, and kittens as Senshi monitored Mikki as she went about her day, and the inhabitants of Mau kept up the act that she was a princess.

In her Sailor form, Sailor Frost, Comet has her golden, crescent moon mark on her forehead, a black choker, a black sailor collar, a black bow, a black skirt, and knee-high boots are white. Sailor Frost, as her name implies, uses rock and ice-based attacks. Asteroid, again, is dressed like the Moonlight Knight but called Sailor Impact, a rare version of Senshi, who is male, and his white robes have black trim! Asteroid uses a range of explosive attacks! Diana, now called Sailor Huntress, is dressed in a gray Sailor uniform with her golden, crescent moon mark shining on her forehead too.

Sailor Huntress shot projectiles shaped like arrows to attack! Elizabeth looks almost identical to Comet. Yet, with black boots, her outfit sparkles like stars in the dark sky, giving her the name Sailor Nightfall. Elizabeth's attacks involved darkness, but even Queen Belle could not describe what that meant. Rose was sporting a red Sailor uniform and was called Sailor Daybreak. Despite the color and name, Rose's attacks were nature-based.

As rare as it is, Quartz is smiling in his snazzy Tuxedo Mask-esque uniform! Of course, he did not need the "mask" as he was not trying to hide his identity and felt it would not matter once Marcus knew he was fighting on the side of justice. Even his name sounded mysterious, Sailor Smoke. Quartz guessed his abilities would be most beneficial for concealment, like Crystal's Mist Spray. Sadly, due to her beauty, Sailor Daybreak had to fend off numerous boys attempting to flirt with her, even when she told them she was working.

Sometimes, if the men did not get the hint, Sailor Impact, Sailor Smoke, or King Lune would be there to back her up. No matter what Mikki did or said, Marcus did not show up, and this simple job became tiresome! So, Mikki decided to kick it up and nap, as Marcus seemed to prefer sleeping victims. Having to keep up the charade, she got to sleep in one of the palace's guest rooms, usually reserved for visiting royals! Still, nothing happened, but Sailor Smoke felt uneasy as it got dark.

"Nothing has happened. We've been tracking her all day. Why are you so uptight?" Sailor Frost asked her mate as she yawned, trying to get a little shut-eye, but Sailor Smoke stayed awake.

"I didn't feel this way earlier today. I feel something big is going to happen." Somehow, Sailor Smoke could tell something would happen just before it did.

"You WANT something to happen. Probably just nerves." Sailor Daybreak snuggled up to Sailor Impact.

"Don't do anything naughty, Rose. Even though you and Asteroid are sharing a bed..." Sailor Smoke snickered.

"There's only two beds! Elizabeth and Diana took the one on Mikki's other side. Plus, you're sharing a bed with Comet!" Sailor Daybreak blushed crimson from anger and the thought of her and Asteroid doing anything serious.

Sailor Smoke smirked, ready to torment his beloved sister a bit more, but thought he heard a sound next door, in Mikki's room! At first, he was unsure what it was and did not want to wake Mikki if he was reacting to a normal palace noise. Putting his ear up to the wall, he listened, and the other kitten, Senshi, joined him.

"Let's go!" Sailor Smoke demanded when he was sure Mikki was in danger!

Sailor Nightfall and Sailor Huntress are already at her door! Sailor Smoke kicked open the door to see a tall, shadowy, darkly dressed man drinking Mikki's blood! Those who are female tried not to throw up. Of course, Mikki woke up from having her door kicked open, and this figure made for the window!

"Oh no, you don't!" Sailor Impact sent a wave of electricity towards the man, paralyzing him!

Sailor Impact and Sailor Huntress watched this guy, who was unmistakably Marcus, while the other Senshi helped Mikki, who seemed dazed and confused. Marcus growled and tried to shake off the paralysis but stopped when Sailor Huntress pointed one of her arrows at him!

"It's rude to barge in on someone when they are dining." Marcus snarled.

"Shut up!" Asteroid shouted.

"You could have left your pretty, red-headed teammate with me. I would have liked to give her a nibble." Marcus licked his lips, relishing the last of Mikki's blood, and Sailor Huntress cringed.

"She's our sister and my mate!" Sailor Impact snapped.

"Your sister is your mate?" Marcus seemed to find that disgusting.

"Well...she's our adopted sister." Sailor Huntress clarified.

"Thanks for clearing that up, little one. I feel bad she has a "pretty boy" for a mate; I'd show her what a real man can do." Marcus smirked, knowing this would irritate Sailor Impact.

"That's not important. What is, is why are you on Mau?!" Sailor Impact demanded.

"When I was chased off the Earth for attacking a noblewoman, I sailed the solar system, looking for noble or royal blood as it can sustain me the longest. Mau just happened to be where I ended up." Marcus explained.

"Why did you do this?" Sailor Huntress asked, referring to what Marcus had transformed himself into.

"I, like so many before me, seek everlasting life." Marcus is more civil with Sailor Impact, maybe because she is young and inexperienced in heavy matters.

"Don't waste your breath having a conversation with him." Sailor Impact said flippantly.

"Hey, your sister had a question! I answered yours, so it's only fair I answered hers!" Marcus scolded. Before Sailor Impact could respond, the other Senshi returned with Sailor Mau.

"Mikki is with Mom and Dad." Sailor Mau informed them.

As they marched Marcus down the hall, Sailor Impact said, "Hey. Sorry to burst your bubble, Marcus, but Mikki isn't a noble or a royal. She's a servant, posing as a princess to flush you out. Worked perfectly, huh?"

"What?!" Marcus hissed, and the paralysis wore off!

Marcus jumped on Sailor Impact, who did get a few hits, but this dark man is impervious to pain! Sailor Frost and Sailor Huntress pitched in: Frost aimed one of her open palms, and a ray of colors spiraled out to freeze Marcus's lower body, and Huntress pinned his wings with her arrows! Marcus was surprised as he did not think two females could stop him. Not needing a trial of any kind, as Marcus admitted committing heinous crimes and not caring who he hurt, Queen Belle allowed her husband and the Senshi to finish the monstrous criminal. Under Marcus's control, Mikki tried to object, but Queen Belle held her back.

From the onslaught of ice, fire, moonlight energy, brutal dark magic attacks, and nature, Marcus could not stand. King Lune and Sailor Mau dealt the killing blow with their weapons. Mikki collapsed as though she had died too, but once she came to, she began to make a speedy recovery. King Lune hosted a tea party in the flower garden for the kittens to show their thanks. Everyone danced to enchanting music, and King Lune taught Quratz some swordplay!

Overall, no matter how terrifying Marcus had been, the kittens' only concern was for the safety of the citizens of Mau.
