"I Don't Even Know You"

(Part 1)

"Has there been any change?" an anxious Spencer asked TJ.

"No, but at this point, that's ok. She's breathing on her own and her vitals are good. And, based on what you and Joss said, the slip she took will probably just result in a headache when she wakes up," TJ replied.

"Just to be clear, you did say WHEN, not if, right?" Spencer asked. TJ nodded.

Spencer went back in and sat at Trina's bedside. Things had been going so great for him and Trina, especially after their magical New York trip. That morning, she was heading out of her dorm room when she turned back to get something. She rushed back to the door so quickly and wasn't paying attention to the shoe on the floor. That's when she slipped and fell on the floor, at the exact same moment that Joss opened the door. The door hit a fallen Trina on the head and knocked her out. Of course, Joss was frantic and immediately called 911, who took her straight to GH. En route, she called Spencer, who wasted no time in getting to Trina's side.

"Don't you think we should call her parents?" a guilty Joss asked Spencer, who got up to talk with her.

"I don't think we should until she comes to. Otherwise, they'll just be as anxious as we are," Spencer said.

"Ok. I hope that she wakes up soon. I really need to let her know how sorry I am," Joss replied.

"Joss, you didn't mean it, and Trina's going to be just fine," Spencer responded, sounding like he was trying to convince himself almost as much as Joss.

"Umm, uh, umm..." Trina moaned from her bed. Spencer and Joss got back to her side quickly, with both taking hold of a hand on either side of her.

They both began to try and quietly wake her from her sleep by calling her name softly. Her moaning continued, plus her eyes started to flutter.

"Joss, you stay her. I'm going to go get TJ," an excited Spencer said as he dashed out.

At that point, Trina's eyes opened. At first, she just stared up, but then she looked over at Joss and smiled.

"Hi, I'm glad you're awake," a relieved Joss said.

"Awake? Why have I been asleep? And, why am I in a hospital bed? Joss, what happened?" a confused Trina asked. Before Joss could answer, TJ came in and asked her to wait outside during the exam. She left and went out to wait with Spencer.

It wasn't long before TJ came out and told them that Trina seemed a little foggy about some things, but that would be expected for now. To be on the safe side, TJ decided to page the neurologist on call to look in on her. In the meantime, Spencer and Joss went back in to be with Trina.

"Hi, Trina. Are you feeling ok? I'm so sorry for all of this," Joss said upon entering the room, while Spencer stayed back for the moment.

"Don't worry, Joss. TJ filled me in on things and I know that it was an accident. The bump will go down soon and I'm sure I'll get the meds needed to help with the pain," Trina replied amiably.

"So, now that I know that I am forgiven, I'll go out in the hall and give you two some time alone," Joss said, as she looked over at Spencer.

"Thanks, Joss. Is he waiting outside?" a smiling Trina asked.

Joss and Spencer looked at each other, slightly confused.

"Um. What do you mean? Is who outside?" Joss asked, as she signalled to Spencer to stay silent.

Now it was Trina's turn to be confused. "Cam. Who did you think I meant?" Trina asked.

Joss was speechless, while Spencer appeared completely dumbfounded.

"Well Joss, are you going to go let Cam know that he can come in now? Oh, and by the way, who's your friend back there?" Trina asked, as she finally acknowledged Spencer's presence by looking in his direction.

Spencer's mouth dropped and he decided that he had been silent long enough.

"Trina. It's me. Spencer," he replied.

Trina smiled and said, "It's nice to meet you, Spencer. But, I really need to see Cam, so if you wouldn't mind?" Trina replied, indicating that she wanted to be alone with...Cam.

"Trina, Cam isn't here, baby," Spencer responded in as soothing a way as possible.

Trina's smile disappeared quickly and changed to a frown. She sat up more in the bed and looked straight at her confused boyfriend. "First of all, why are you talking to me about Cam? And secondly, where do you get off calling me baby? I don't even know you!" Trina exclaimed.
