CHAPTER 1:

On February 11th, Stacie came home after a long day at work.

"I am so beat," Stacie said, exhausted.

"Rough day at the studio?" Kyle asked.

"You have no idea. We had to go through the same routine for about an hour until everybody got it right," Stacie explained.

"That hard, huh?" Kyle asked.

"Oh, yeah. It seemed like half the girls in my class have never had a single ballet lesson before today," Stacie said.

"At least both of our girls are rather good at ballet," Kyle pointed out.

"And that's something to definitely be proud of," Stacie added, just as Kim walked into the living room.

"Mom, Dad, is it okay if I invite my new boyfriend over for dinner tomorrow night?" Kim asked.

"You have a boyfriend?" Stacie asked, surprised.

"Yeah," Kim said.

"Aw, Kim, that's wonderful. I'm so happy for you. Our oldest daughter's first relationship," Stacie marveled.

"So, when do we meet the guy?" Kyle asked.

"I was just asking if he can come over for dinner tomorrow," Kim told him.

"Well, of course he can," Stacie said.

"What's his name?" Kyle asked.

"His name is Travis. We met when we were assigned to be lab partners in science class," Kim said.

"Really?" Kyle asked.

"At first, I was hesitant to consider dating him, but after this one good conversation we had during lunch a week ago, I finally decided to give it a shot," Kim explained.

"Well, we look forward to meeting him tomorrow," Stacie said.

"Thanks. I'll call him in a bit and let him know. I got to go tell Bella," Kim said before heading upstairs.

The next day, Esther and Donald were getting one of the bedrooms set for their new daughter's arrival. Since they were expecting a girl, it was only proper that their daughter's bedroom was painted pink. But just as they finished painting, Esther began having some small doubts about the color.

"Do you think the color is a mistake?" Esther asked.

"Not at all. We're having a girl, and pink is the perfect color for girls," Donald reminded her.

"Yeah, but what if she hates pink?" Esther asked.

"Well, if she does, we'll figure out a different color," Donald said as Esther's phone rang.

"Hey, Chloe," Esther said, answering.

"Hey, I just wanted to see how the new baby's bedroom is coming along," Chloe said.

"Oh, it's going very well. But I'm having small doubts about the color," Esther recapped.

"I wouldn't worry too much about it, but if you're really concerned about the room design, why not add a theme?" Chloe suggested.

"A theme?" Esther asked.

"You know, like, mermaids, unicorns, Disney princesses, whatever you think might be to your little girl's liking," Chloe suggested.

Then Esther had an idea, "Or maybe I could do multiple themes and decide which ones work out best."

"That's the spirit! Good luck to you two. I know you'll find a solution you both agree on," Chloe said.

"Later," Esther said, hanging up.
