Inside the dark cave of Mt. Enzou.
An unstoppable evil was about to be born and unleashed into this world.
A mangled redheaded boy struggles their way closer to the embryo.
He was battered, beaten on, by a fake priest he miraculously managed to outlast in a brawl.
The boy stands there at the edge of the abomination.
He imagines a gun's hammer firing.
Foreign Magical Energy from his left arm floods his magic circuits.
Experience not his own breaks his mind.
"Trace On."
A sword of legend takes shape in his grip.
He looks at the familiar sword but cannot recall where he saw it before.
A slight smile dawned on his teary-eyed face, as he looked at the fetus.
"This is the end of it all… the last Holy Grail War." His voice is gritty and metallic.
With what's left of his willpower, he raises the holy sword above his head, ready to be swung down with great power.
"Exxxxxxcccccccaaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllliiiiiiiiiiiibbbuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!"
A blinding yellow light stems from The Sword of Promised Victory.
His last 10% disappears.
His mind shatters.
His arms swing Excalibur with his last wind.
The enormous bright beam fails to eviscerate the fetus known as Angra Mainyu.
The impact of the Noble Phantasm shakes the cave and will soon cause it to collapse on itself.
Excalibur shaking of the cave causes the boy to fall to the ground.
With his eyes open, staring at the dark cavern ceiling, heart beating, blood flowing, lungs expanding and shrinking, bones shattered, skin blistered, cuts opened, swords jutting out of his person and yet, there's no reaction from the boy himself.
That's to be expected as the boy had sacrificed his mind to try to save the world from All of the World's Evil.
There's no one there anymore.
Just the body of a boy named Emiya Shirou.
He would no longer be there to bless the ones he loved.
Within years of this event, Humanity went extinct.
That is all there is to this story.
The sun rises and peaks through the windows.
People outside chattering and moving about, living their lives.
The sounds of children having fun and carts strolling in the streets.
Shirou woke up due to the noise and the sun shining on his face.
He sat up on his bed and did his morning routine before he got ready to leave for his job.
The boy left his temporary room and headed downstairs towards the lobby of the hotel he was staying at.
With his red hair and being featureless, he stuck out like an alien in those movies he once saw with Taiga. The Beast people slowed down with their activities and looked at him. They whispered and chatted about him.
They had features that made them unique. They could have special ears, skin, horns, tails, eyes, and just about everything you could imagine.
On the floating islands they call home, Regul Aire, is home to many species of beast people related to the phantasmal beasts of his time in some way.
Shirou was defined as a markless.
He got used to the Beast people judging him as time passed by and put his cloak over his head to hide himself from everyone.
He headed out the entrance and onto the bar he was working at.
Being dressed in a gray cloak, jeans, a white t-shirt with blue sleeves, and a pair of black shoes. He wasn't dressed appropriately to work in the front of the bar but maybe that was a good thing because the citizens of the 28th island weren't kind to markless people.
Instead, Shirou was the cook for the bar. He liked being in the kitchen, because it was one of the only things he could truly be at peace and happy doing.
There weren't many different kinds of ingredients but that wasn't an issue because he was more happy at being able to work in the kitchen and serve others his food.
He entered the bar and started his shift. The pay was decent but nothing special since he was a markless.
The markless were people that didn't have any special features. They are generally shunned because of the Enmetwyte or humans as Shirou knew them, wreaked havoc and unleashed an evil so great it caused the other races into the sky. They weren't wrong but they didn't have the exact details of what happened.
As Shirou walked towards the exit, he said farewell to my coworkers and boss due to his shift being over. He exited the bar with his hood on once again, heading back towards the hotel he was staying at. The hotel he stayed at was near the Western 7th Briki Shopping District, where the stalls specialized in metal work.
The Beast people stopped what they were doing as they clamored about and screamed. He tilted his head up to see what the commotion was.
To his surprise, a black cat and a girl with a gray cloak was falling.
His instincts kicked in before he knew it. He activated a magecraft long lost to the people in this world.
Reinforcement.
Pouring Magical Energy through his magic circuits, filling in the space in between his body, he got faster, stronger, and more durable.
He calculated the fall of her trajectory and slid right under her to catch the girl before she hit the ground.
It wouldn't have made a pretty scene on the streets if she were to hit the ground.
Shirou's relieved that he managed to catch her fast enough. Shirou breathed out slowly and spoke to the girl.
"Are you alright miss?" Shirou asked.
"Erm- S-Sorry!"
She finally seemed to understand what had happened.
"Are you hurt!? Are you alive!? Are any organs crushed!? A-" Said the girl frantically.
The black cat sped off into the distance interrupting the girl's question while she was focused on Shirou. She tried to grasp the cat but it only met air. The cat dashed away and was gone from our sight not long after.
She screams half in frustration and half in surprise. The former due to the cat she was chasing getting away with and the latter due to her hat she had on falling off when she fell on him. The girl was revealed to have sky blue hair and was featureless just like he was.
The crowd glared at them and spoke to each other. Shirou and the girl could feel their gazes on them, judging them. Just what he didn't want, but it's nothing to worry about since it's never bad to help someone in need.
"S-sorry, I'll go away soon, so you don't need to worry…"
The girl got up from being on top of Shirou and tried to flee but it was to no avail. Shirou held onto her wrist to keep her from leaving and showed her his other hand that held onto the silver brooch.
"Here, think you forgot this." Said Shirou.
He smiled as he dropped it into the girl's palm. She looked at it, bewildered by the situation.
"T-thanks."
"Are you new to this place?"
The blue-head nodded.
"I see…"
Shirou stood up as he thought of a solution. He took off his cloak and put it on the girl, revealing his non-existent features to the crowd. Shirou's appearance caused the crowd to have another commotion but about him instead.
"E-eh…" She let out in a surprise.
Shirou isn't surprised about his appearance but judging how the crowd and the girl was. He understood their reaction to his looks. He wasn't like them. Red hair, amber eyes, with no horns, no fangs, no scales, and no extra limbs. Although the girl probably just didn't expect to see a markless on this island.
"Let's go." Shirou said to get away from the crowd.
He grabbed her hand and led the way to the hat shop. Where he bought her a hat to cover her head and took back his cloak to hide his featureless head again.
"I think this will be good enough."
Shirou wasn't a fashion designer nor did he know what was trendy but he thought it genuinely looked good on her. Sure it might be a few sizes too big for her but it perfectly fit the purpose it was given.
"Umm.. what's this for?"
She looked at him shyly, unsure what the hat was for.
"Well it's to cover you of course, so that people won't notice you."
Shirou took her hand and once again dragged her but towards the harbor this time. Once they were close to it, Shirou slowed down and turned around to face the girl.
"The harbor is over there."
Shirou pointed with his thumb behind him.
"I'm not sure what island you came from but this place isn't that nice for people like us. I can go with you to it if you would like me to."
"E-erm…"
Shirou didn't quite understand her and he was having a hard time reading her expression because of the hat doing its purpose.
"Are you… a markless?"
"That's right. What of it?" Shirou asked quizzically.
"N-nothing… it's just that I'm wondering why you're here then? On this island where the people are the most hostile to markless?"
"I don't really have much anywhere anymore besides the people aren't as bad once you get used to it."
Shirou thought of the people he worked with and the people that retained the hotel he was staying at. They weren't bad people, sure they had their differences with each other but they could tolerate him if needed.
The girl seemed to have a saddened expression on her face at his answer so it seemed she wanted to switch the topic.
"U-umm… thanks for everything, I know that I'm not in a position to say this but…"
Her voice quieted down as she spoke, so Shirou barely understood what she was implying.
"Is there somewhere you want to go?" He asked.
Shirou held a smile and scratched the back of his head with his right hand.
Her face seemed to brighten up immediately afterwards. He couldn't see half her face because of the hat so he couldn't really tell.
"Yes!" She exclaimed.
They were off again into the windy roads of Market Medlei, where you could end up lost even if you saw where your destination was.
After a while, they ended up on top of the Garakuta Tower, the highest point on the island.
During their little adventure to get there, she seemed to loosen up a little. Enough to make remarks and laugh at their trip here. It was definitely better than before where she was stiff and uptight.
The girl leaned on the railing and let out a sigh, admiring the sight of the bustling city.
The city was one of those cities that never slept and had roads that seemed to go forever freely.
She raised her height a bit to see the harbor at the edge of the island, where everything comes in and out of this island.
Beyond that was the neverending blue sky, were pieces of rock floating here and there. Those rocks were floating islands like the one they were on currently. It was where all life lives now, compared to centuries ago, where it was all far below where they were now.
Shirou let a frown form on his face but immediately forced it away when he saw that she was looking at him. She had her hat down by her hands and her hair that was the same color as the sky around them free.
"Pretty isn't it?" Shirou asked.
"Yes, I've seen islands higher and farther than this but this is the first time I've seen it like this before."
She had a smile on her face and turned around to see the city once more.
"I thought it would be nice to see it at least once," She paused for a moment. " But I've made good memories and I don't think I have any regrets left anymore." She said ominously.
Shirou couldn't see her face so he didn't know what kind of expression she was making.
"Thanks for today, I got to experience a lot of wonderful things because of you."
"Think nothing of it. There's nothing wrong with helping others."
Shirou scratched the back of his head. He truly thought so and he had no qualms with helping others but he would never get used to being thanked.
He heard footsteps coming from downstairs. He looked to see a Reptrace standing there menacingly. He had a reptilian head, scales for his skin, he was giant compared to the himself, and he wore a military uniform so he gave off an oppressive air.
"Is this someone you know?" Asked Shirou.
The girl looked behind her and let out a yelp of surprise and confusion from the sight of the Reptrace.
"Yes, I guess it's time to go. I had a good time too… It was almost like a dream. But I have to wake up now." She said in a bittersweet tone, her expression turning into a frown.
She walked towards the Reptrace side and turned around to say one last thing to Shirou.
"There's just one more thing I want to ask of you… please forget about today and me."
Shirou let out a quizzical look at the girl. He didn't know what to say to her. He knew that she was in some special circumstances after using Structural Grasping on the brooch. He didn't read deep into her brooch but that's why he didn't ask her why she was here on this island. It wasn't respectful to peek at someone's life without their knowledge.
The girl lowered her head in thanks and disappeared with the Reptrace.
The chimes of a carillon was heard in the distance, meaning it was the start of the evening hours.
Shirou realized that he never got to know the girl's name from herself. Maybe she thought that if she didn't tell him her name, she would be easier to forget about.
'Oh well, no use thinking about it now.' He thought.
Soon he had a meeting with a friend of his so he decided to head off into the bustling city as well.
Shirou learning that he was the last human alive, nearly broke him. He thought of all the people he knew, all the people he failed, and all the people he loved. He wanted to be a hero of justice, a hero that saves all and fails none. Yet, he managed to do the complete opposite of what he wanted. Now look at what the world's come to, a desolate sphere full of sand. Alaya's gone, Gaia sleeps, and all of humanity is never to be seen again other than himself. He failed everyone. It is only a miracle that someone created a paradise high in the sky before their demise away from all the dangers that the land on the ground now inhibits.
Soon the Beast people realized that there was no reason to stay on the surface and go extinct like their enemies and allies had gone. So they migrated here on the islands, every race had to cooperate with one another to live and now its islands are full of people.
Even so, everything here now exists because of him. It is a reminder that he'll never forget about his failure.
Shirou walked to the same bar he worked at but this time he's not there for his job.
Shirou enters the bar and sees his friend Grick at the corner of the bar.
He was here because he had a debt to pay to Grick, a Borgle that resembled the Goblin of his time.
Grick and his crew were the ones who found him on the surface and helped him out when he was new to the islands of Regul Aire. It's a pretty substantial debt because the pay on this island isn't the greatest considering the amount of contempt the markless get from the beast people. It would take him a bit to gather all the money.
"I'll have the money in half a year depending if everything goes well Grick."
Shirou gave him most of his money in an envelope and Grick goes through it all to check the amount given. An awkward silence follows after Grick's done checking the money.
"Say… Are you sure with this?" Asked Grick.
Grick's eyebrows furrowed.
"What do you mean?"
"It took you a while to get this amount of money."
"I'm sorry… but I can't get money faster."
"No no, I'm not rushing you and I wasn't asking about that but, this is almost all your money you have saved up no?"
"Oh, yeah that's correct."
"You aren't bothered by this at all?"
"Well not really, just living life is all."
Shirou shook his shoulders.
"This is no way to live life Shirou. Life is about excitement and for what you enjoy."
Grick looked at him worriedly.
"Listen… I got a job for you. Why don't you try it out? It's a decent job with more pay than what you're making now and since you'll be working with markless for a long period of time. The client can't find people to look after them. Assuming you're fine with working with markless people, why don'tcha give it a try?"
Shirou pondered about this opportunity but he ultimately gave in seeing as the way he was living now wasn't something his old friends would want for him. The change in atmosphere would also be a great change for him.
"Sure I'll take it."
"Great! You'll be managing the Winged Guard's Secret Weapons."
"Hmm… the army?"
Shirou didn't know much about Regul Aire's army other than the common information. All he knew was that they fought against his mistakes and they cleaned up after him. However the Winged Guard's Secret Weapons weren't really a secret to him as he just met one of them not too long ago.
"Yeah… I know you're not knowledgeable about the army but you won't be doing much. It'll mostly just be some behind the desk kind of job. I'll take care of the paperwork so you won't have to worry about that."
Grick laughed.
He was a reasonable thinker and he was a sympathetic Borgle. Something that may have surprised Shirou the first time around.
"Also all you have to do is stay quiet and have some patience. Afterwards, you'll be able to pay off your entire debt and have some left over."
"So when do I start?"
"Well, as soon as possible."
Regul Aire was composed of over a hundred islands. Starting from island 1 in the center, it spirals outwards as the number gets bigger. The central islands or the lower number islands are closer to each other. While the outer islands are more spread apart from each other.
Shirou's new job location was on the 68th island, which was far out enough that public airships didn't go there. He had to get there by some other means. While renting a private airship was too expensive, he could take a public one to the 53rd island and then pay a ferry to get to the 68th island. By the time he got there, it was already completely dark.
"Ah well-"
A strong chill blew past him, making him shiver. He had to get there as soon as possible. Looking around to see any directions, he saw two red arrow signs. One pointing to the right and the other to the left. Shirou was told by Grick that the Orlandri Trading Company controlled the army's secret weapons. So he followed the sign that said 'Orlandri Trading Company 4th Warehouse' on it. Shirou went left but it only led to a path in the middle of a thick forest.
With no lights or any other available illumination other than the stars. Shirou reinforced his eyes, allowing him to see better in the dark. He continued on until he trudged into a wetland. Where he heard the sound of rushing footsteps and could see a light faintly swaying in the distance.
A purple haired girl rushes towards him with a wooden sword from the dark.
"Take That!!" She said as she jumped at him as she swung her sword down.
Shirou was confused and wondering why there was just a little girl out in the dark with a wooden sword attacking people in the forest. It was just something he wouldn't expect to see when he came here to work.
While he could dodge her attack, she would fall into the marshes behind him. Thinking that she was supposed to be the secret weapons he was going to take care of. He didn't want the girl to fall into the water and catch a cold.
So instead of dodging the attack, he faced it head on. Taking on her full body mass in motion, he flopped backwards into the water creating a loud splash. He managed to keep the girl safe and dry by letting her sit on top of him with a smug face. It was like she conquered her greatest enemy.
"Panival! What are you doing?!" A girly voice yelled off into the distance.
Shirou looked towards the direction of the voice that sounded familiar. He recognized the blue headed girl holding a light.
The girl on top of him raised her head and boasted to the newest arrival.
"The suspicious character has been defeated." Panival said with a thumbs up.
"You shouldn't run around, it's dangerous at night, and the grounds all we- eh?"
The blue headed girl looked towards Shirou with a surprised face.
"You're the suspicious character?"
"Yeah… haha…" He sheepishly laughed.
Shirou let out a smile and waved at the girl.
Shirou couldn't stay wet like that so he took a shower and a change of clothes. He looked into the mirror and saw himself but not himself. The man in the mirror had tan skin and white hair. He had a more sharp face, and a well defined body compared to himself. Shirou knew that he himself didn't look like that yet.
"Archer-."
While he didn't hate the man, there was an unsettling feeling when looking at himself in the mirror. This man was the person that gave him the power to protect others but he was the person that made him suffer the most during the Holy Grail War. He was also the ideal representative of the dream his old man gave him to carry on. Shrou wasn't sure how he felt about that.
He wiped his hand over the mirror. No longer seeing Heroic Spirit Emiya but saw Shirou Emiya once more. Whenever he stepped out into the army facility, he looked at his surroundings and thought it didn't really look like an army facility but instead rather something that resembled a run down orphanage. He wondered if he didn't choose Kiritsugu to adopt him immediately after the fire, he would've been in an place like this.
He then spotted the heads of several children behind various objects looking at the strange newcomer, that being him. Shirou turned around and spotted the blue haired girl approaching him.
"Follow me." She said.
She led Shirou around the warehouse, giving him a tour of the place he would be working at. She would take a brief look at him and move forward faster. Her disposition towards Shirou was colder and seemed to put more distance than when they first met at Market Medlei. It honestly reminded him of one of his closest friends back before the extinction of humans. Shirou smiled as he looked at the back of her head.
'Even her hairstyle is nearly the same.' Shirou thought to himself.
"W-what is it?" She asked.
She caught him in the act whenever she flicked her head to look at him and her eyes met his.
"Ah, nothing. You just remind me of someone I used to know."
"Really? Who?"
She seemed to be extremely intrigued about who this mysterious person was. Her expression returned back to when we first met.
"It was someone I once held dearly."
Shirou didn't mind talking about her but it left a bitter distaste in his mouth whenever he mentioned anyone in the past.
"Ahaha… I see…"
She awkwardly laughed at his answer. She probably regretted asking him at this point, so she decided to change the focus.
"Let's continue on, yes?"
"Yes, let's go."
They once more walked around the army facility orphanage. The air was silent and awkward with the only sounds being the children silently following us. They stopped walking once they arrived next to a room.
Just from peeking in the room, he could see that it was quite a cozy room. It had bookshelves, a round wooden table and a chair, a bed, and other various items strewn out.
The only thing that stood out was a red headed markless girl that looked like she was in her early twenties. With the clothes she wore that looked like the typical Victorian maid, combined with her gentle and well mannered behavior, she gave off an elegant impression.
If only Shirou didn't know who she really was.
"What are you doing here… Naigrat?" Shirou said suspiciously.
"What could you mean? I work here." Said Naigrat teasingly. "Oh! And congrats on your position! It's your first job in the army and you're already the Second Enchanted Weapons Technician! Rising through the ranks pretty fast, hm?"
Naigrat put up a facade knowing that Shirou had seen through it.
"Thanks… so that client that couldn't find anyone was you?"
Shirou had a deadpan expression.
"Indeed that was probably me."
Naigrat tilted her head with her index finger pointed at herself, trying to make herself seem innocent.
"Hoh, I see…"
"Yes now come, Sit!" She said excitedly.
Shirou gave her one last deadpan glare before giving up to go sit down opposite of where Naigrat was.
"So, is there anything I should be doing? For this job I mean."
"Well, are you staying here?" Naigrat asked.
"Of course, I was sent here to take care of these weapons."
"The other two people before you left after a day without saying anything, so I thought it'd be necessary to ask."
"I see… Well, I plan on taking on this job seriously." Shirou affirmed.
"Great! Well then I'll get your room and your things ready! Oh wait! You must be hungry, I'll make a feast tomorrow just for this occasion! Just wait until then! I'll fatten you up!"
Naigrat happily clapped her hands together and started to walk towards the exit.
"No, please don't…"
Shirou winced because he knew what she truly was.
She was a troll, a subtype of ogre that would welcome humans into their homes, take care of humans, feed them, and fatten them up, only to eat them at night or whenever vulnerable, but he knew she truly meant well. They'd met 2 years prior during his reawakening, she took care of him while he was still readjusting to Regul Aire. While taking care of him, she found out that he was the last of the Enmetwytes. Since he was 'rare meat', she wanted to eat him. Ever since then, she would joke about it, Shirou hoped.
"Well I don't plan on eating you… yet." Naigrat whispered.
"Could you repeat that last part?"
"Hmm? I didn't say anything." She said teasingly.
She left before Shirou could say anything. He could hear her skipping along the hallways, the sounds receding as she got farther away.
'That woman!'
"If you don't hurry I might leave you behind!" Naigrat yelled.
He could barely hear her even though she was yelling. Shirou got up and rushed towards Naigrat's voice. When he left the room, he encountered the same group of mismatched heads he saw when he left the bathroom, staring at him. They too followed after him and Naigrat to the diner room.
They ate a late night dinner.
Naigrat was cheery and happy throughout their meal together, humming quietly while eyeing Shirou like he was the most extravagant piece of meat she'd seen.
He still did his daily routine of exercising and eating healthy so he was extremely fit and lean. His muscles had been taught and had more mass compared to when he was still in highschool back on the surface. He'd grown a couple inches taller as well since then too.
The feeling was uncomfortable. Shirou didn't quite know how to deal with something like this. Even though they met several times before and have been in the same situation multiple times. It always got to him somehow. The girls he was personal with never saw him like this, aside from Sakura, but she was always too timid to try.
As soon as they were done eating dinner, Naigrat showed Shirou to the Manager's Room and left him by himself shortly after.
The room was a fairly bland and empty room, but that's to be expected. None of the previous manager's stayed at the warehouses themselves. There was no need to clean, maintain, or decorate a room that had no purpose. While the room wasn't small, the empty space made it seem bigger than it actually was.
All there was, was a bed, a lamp that hung on the wall, an empty closet, and a window with no curtains covering it, allowing him to see the pitch black darkness outside. The room was vacant but it's much better than the hotel he stayed at, so he didn't have any qualms with it.
The lack of items was also fine since Shirou wasn't the type to have a lot of stuff in his room. He was a simple man after all.
Shirou put down his luggage and sat on his bed to try it out.
'It feels nice.' Shirou thought.
Although he still thought the futon fit him more, he understood why western designed beds were more popular.
Before he accidentally went to sleep, he reminded himself that he needed to change out of his army uniform. He changed back into his casual clothes that consisted of black pants, white t-shirts, and a black and white jersey. Of course, he had different kinds of clothes but he never wore them that much. In his bag however, was a black trenchcoat and a red pendant stored inside.
Shirou chuckled.
'Even after all this time, my choice of clothes is nearly the same.'
Shirou put the rest of his belongings away in the closet aside from the pendant he now had in his hand.
Fingering it, he reminisces about the time he had with Rin. About the first time he saw it. About the Holy Grail War.
Hearing whispering right outside his door, Shirou puts away the gem and walks quietly to the door.
"Do you think he's asleep?"
"I don't know… it's my first time seeing a boy."
"Keep your voice down. He might hear us."
Shirou jerks open the door and an avalanche of mismatched hair and bodies come tumbling down to the floor.
"W-what!?" The pink haired child exclaimed.
"S-Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" The orange haired girl repeatedly bowed each time she said sorry.
"Yo, Mr. Supervisor!" Said Panival with a wave.
Shirou held a finger to his mouth signaling them to quiet down, less they wanted to be eaten by Naigrat. They all had gotten silent, understanding what Shirou had meant. He gestured to them all to enter his room. Otherwise they would just be standing with the door wide open next to them and risk getting seen. They instead lined up against the wall.
"Where are you from!? What race are you!?"
"What's your and Naigrat's relationship!?"
"Do you have a girlfriend!? What kind of girls are you into!?"
"What's your favorite food!? Oh! Do you have foods you can't eat!?"
"Which of the questions would you answer first!?"
They were curious children, they bursted out questions one right after the other. Knowing they've probably never seen a man before and Shirou was weak to children. He felt indulgent to answer their questions.
He entered Tohsaka Rin position #2, where she had her eyes closed, her left arm crossed supporting her right arm, and her right hand raised with a single index finger erect.
"Well, I'll answer the first question first."
"I'm from a city called Fuyuki and I'm not sure what race I am to be honest."
Shirou wasn't a couldn't lie to save his life, but he couldn't just exactly say that he was an Enmetwyte so he just made up a random excuse.
"Hmm… My relationship with Naigrat is complicated and I like all kinds of women."
He thought of Sakura, Rin, Rider, and Saber. Shirou shook his head at the thought.
They were better off left in the back of his mind.
"My favorite food? I don't really have one but I prefer to have a healthy balance of food and I don't have any foods I can't eat."
Each question he answered he raised another finger. When he opened his eyes again, he saw the children with their eyes beamed open. They were all giddy and excited at the answer they got from the first man they met.
"Ah, also my name is Shirou and I'll be staying here for a while." He said with a smile directed at them.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Shirou!" All the girls said loudly.
"Hey! What are you guys doing!?" A familiar voice said.
The girls froze up and looked towards the voice at the entrance of his room. Shirou followed their line of sight and saw that it was the blue haired girl again. She was looking right at the girls with her hands on her hips, displeased.
"Don't bother him right now, I'm sure he's had to come a long way and is tired right now." She scolded.
"Sorry!" The orange haired girl said as she bowed.
"Couldn't stop my curiosity." Said Panival.
"Haha! We're what you call an unstoppable force!" Exclaimed the pink haired one.
"It's fine, just go back to your rooms." Said the blue haired girl as she sighed.
The girls then scattered away out of the Manager's Room, leaving Shirou alone with the eldest girl.
"Hmph, they never listen to people…" She looked at Shirou. "Hey, sorry about that, they can be a little energetic when something catches their attention."
"Ah, it's fine. I don't mind them."
"Well, that's good."
As soon as the conversation was over, the air was awkward again. Shirou thought that she would leave again pretty soon but she stayed longer than he expected.
Her face brightened as she seemed to remember something and her eyes ventured off to somewhere else.
"Ah… Sorry about earlier, Panival was a little energetic, she didn't mean to harm you."
"It's okay, I'm sure she didn't." Said Shirou with a smile as he scratched his head.
"Oh that's good" She said with relief written on her face. "And umm… Chtholly."
"Hmm?" Shirou wondered what that meant for a moment but he remembered that she never told him her name officially.
"My name… Well it's kinda awkward since I told you to forget about me earlier… Haha… Thought I'd just tell you since you'll be staying here but of course you don't have to remember it." Said the now officially introduced Chtholly awkwardly.
"Well nice to meet you finally, my name is Shirou."
She fidgeted, trying to figure out what to say next.
"Also umm… no, nevermind. Well, sleep tight." Said Chtholly reluctantly.
She turned around and walked out the room and then closed the door.
"Ah wait!" Exclaimed Shirou.
The door that was just closed reopened and the upper portion of the girl peeked through.
"I just wanted to say goodnight."
"Well then, nice to meet you and goodnight Mr. Supervisor" She waved her hand and closed the door shut.
Shirou now left alone, he laid down on his bed and went to sleep.
He dreamt of fire and caves.
Sorry, this is my first time writing a story, so this isn't anything spectacular.
I just finished the SukaSuka anime and loved it plus I tend to read a lot of Fate stuff on here so I felt inspired to make something with the two.
This is AU Shirou and AU SukaSuka btw.
But this is just the intro, I had to introduce Shirou somehow and I wasn't entirely creative on how to do so.
I will at some point deviate the story from the main story but I will try keep some elements.
I own nothing!
Thanks for reading!
Comments and criticism appreciated! No flaming tho pls…
Post first release:
Just added slightly more detail and change some terms around.
Repositioned some sentences and made it a bit easier to read.
Nothing worth rereading really.
