Hey, everybody, Kai the Raichu here! Basically, I wanted to write this story to try something new and fun. By no means is TPA canceled- I'd just like to keep something going on my profile! I think taking a break from that story for a bit would be great for my writing motivation. This story isn't meant to be very serious, and I hope you guys enjoy my story! (And yes, this story is basically a Pokémon/Regular Show crossover)

BULLSEYE! Cody cheered as he had managed to get yet another bullseye on the makeshift target he had set up. He smiled and dusted himself off, proud of the training he had done. "That went really well.." He thought to himself, before deciding to grab a few berries for a snack. Though he usually ate meat, Cody felt that something smaller would be nice. Besides, it was pretty late at night- chances are if he went searching for meat, he'd only find trouble.

Cody rustled through a few bushes before managing to find a few berries. He cleaned them off in a nearby river, making sure they weren't dirty, before eating them. Thankfully, he'd chosen all the right berries and they were delicious rather than scorching his mouth. Before long, Cody felt satisfied and figured he should turn in for the night. He began to gather a bit of firewood, and once he got a decent pile going, began to try and light the fire.

"I swear I've seen this technique used before.." Cody bashed a few rocks together roughly, before managing to get a fire going. He smiled and laid down next to the fire, before his thoughts wandered a bit. "What.. what would it even be like to live in a house like humans? And trainers?" He spoke out loud, unsure.

It would obviously be cleaner and more comfortable, right? But did humans have as much freedom as Cody and other Pokémon did? Or were they trapped due to stuff like money and jobs? He had heard of these things from a distance overtime, and even a bit from his parents from when they were still around. It felt so confusing to the Decidueye; did he have it better than he thought? Or was he just trying to cope with the lonely reality of living in a distant forest?

Cody quickly tried to get his mind off of what he was thinking. The stars looked absolutely beautiful. It hadn't looked like this for quite some time- the last time he recalled was the night where he narrowly escaped a few trainers. Though that night wasn't very fun, it was definitely made easier to get through thanks to the stars. And despite Cody's sour mood, he was definitely feeling a bit better.

"I should probably go to bed.." Cody tossed and turned a bit near the fire as he got comfortable. As he slowly drifted off to sleep, his mind kept thinking about a lot of things. Probably more training tomorrow? Hunt a bunch? The Decidueye didn't take long to fully fall asleep.. but he had no idea of guessing what was possibly waiting for him when he awoke in the morning.. in a completely different world.

- Timeskip: Morning -

Cody groaned as he opened his eyes to the sun. Something immediately didn't feel right. It was too warm for this time of year! Before long, he heard two voices.

"Dude, do you think he's alive?"

"You idiot, Rigby! Of course he is! He's breathing!"

Cody quickly panicked, jumping to his feet and aiming his bow at what looked like a blue bird's face.

"Hey, hey, chill! We're not gonna hurt you! I'm Mordecai!" The blue bird quickly moved away.

"Yeah, seriously! I'm Rigby! We work at the park! The two of us work here, and we were gonna rake leaves until we saw you!"

"..Rigby, you know that's a lie."

"...Yeah, we were gonna just go play video games, but stupid Benson kept yelling at us to get to work or we're firedd.." Rigby mocked somebody's voice. Cody assumed it was this Benson guy he was on about?

"Uhh.. do you know how I got here?" Cody asked, confused while he lowered his bow. "And what's a video game?"

Mordecai and Rigby completely ignored Cody's first question as their faces dropped in shock.

"Y-You don't know what video games are!?" Rigby exclaimed in shock.

"That's ridiculous! Video games are the best thing since sliced bread!" Mordecai said in response.

"I.. I don't get it. Why's this such a big deal? Is not knowing what video games are bad?!" Cody began to panic a bit.

"Okay, okay, actually, it's not actually bad, but video games are super fun! Do you think we should sneak inside and show him how to play, Mordecai?" Rigby smirked and looked at the blue bird.

"Mann, I would, but Benson would totally fire us! Let's just do it later, alright? Maybe.. what's your name? Can help us rake leaves." Mordecai groaned in annoyance before turning to Cody.

"I'm Cody.." The Decidueye smiled a bit. He tried to think for a minute- were these two Pokémon also? But that didn't make any sense! They had jobs? And a boss? This clearly wasn't home.. Cody had no idea what to think. All he could do really is.. follow these two's lead. They clearly knew a lot about this place.

"Here, take this. The faster we finish raking leaves or whatever, the faster we get to show you how awesome video games are!" Mordecai handed Cody some kind of tool. Apparently it was.. a rake? At least that's what Cody thought it was called. He got the hang of the task of raking rather quickly, making quick work of the leaves and finishing a full pile with Mordecai and Rigby.

"Hell yeah! Now we can show you some video games!" Rigby said, before gripping onto Cody's arm. Before long, Mordecai had grabbed onto the other one, and he was practically being pulled inside a large blue house. Cody was rather scared, but excited at the same time. Mordecai and Rigby both seemed really nice, so.. maybe this wouldn't be so bad? Who else would he meet? It wouldn't be bad to stay a while.. right?

Cody already missed the forest.

That's all I wanted to write for an introductory chapter! I hope you enjoyed this, because there's a ton more awesome content to come! Kai the Raichu signing off!
