PROLOGUE

Reality in my opinion refers to what an individual experiences in their present. This definition made more sense to me as my life went on, being born as a the youngest child to a family which had multi-billion dollar estates and enterprises, my life had an excellent start which was further reinforced by my own talents and innate physical abilities. Having all of these advantages handed to me along with my own skills gave the outside world the image of someone who had won at this game called life, a notion which wasn't really wrong from an outside perspective but for me it was completely different. My inherent talents and resources meant there was no real challenge for me that pushed me to my limits so I sought after that challenge that would push me to my limits, an entity which seemed impossible to find as I went far ahead of my peers in education, surpassed professionals in various sports and areas of expertise in anything that caught my interest until I realized something, if the material world wouldn't give me a challenge then fiction would!

I tried various video games, especially RPGs whose difficulty gave me a satisfactory challenge for an amount of time until I decided to crank it up by creating my own.

It took me close to a decade with my jobs and research taking much of my time as I added various skills and mechanics to push myself to the limit until it was finally completed.

FINALLY A WORTHY CHALLENGE! This was all that went through my mind as I played my own game, the AI I created to run it and opponents who I had forgotten about during the game's creation giving me the thrill I needed to push myself mentally along with the VR component I added causing me to use actual physical movements to control my characters movements and use certain skills. This joy lasted for a long time until a disease put me in the ICU, one ungodly disease known as muscular dystrophy.

The disease kept me to a sickbed as my skeletal muscles ate away making even the simplest of movements feel like exercises, it took away my only pleasure at the time which was my game which I worked years to create and threw me into the dark pit known as depression and pushed me further into it as I lost more mobility and motor functions leaving me in a near vegetative state. I ended up taking solace in one thing which helped me escape from this depressing reality, the gem of animated media, anime. I watched various shows enjoying various genres but one that stuck out to me was the shounen genre with their unreal odds which logically shouldn't be surpassed when faced by the cast's abilities, my favorite being NARUTO which interested me with its expanded geo-political stage and various abilities along with its plot holes. Yes! Plot holes, these gaps in the story's continuity which were an annoyance to most people were like gold to me. They allowed my imagination and intelligence to run wild as I came up with different possibilities which were plausible enough of an explanation to fill those proverbial holes. I did this with many a story which piqued my interest and it gave me an activity which gave me some satisfaction and occupied my motionless days. This was my routine until the world turned its back on me, specifically the hospital and my family, I started receiving less food and drugs which helped with my condition and predictably through starvation, thirst and decreasing hospitality my consciousness was after a valiant battle of will to stay alive was pulled into the cool embrace of death not knowing who ordered my death or why they did.

I don't know how long I floated in that void but I continued on with what had become my favorite pastime interacting with the worlds of fiction. I don't know if it was the knowledge that I was dead or the sensory deprivation but my imaginary episodes became more vivid as I pictured what I would do in various scenarios related to my original reality or the fictional ones I had become more and more intimate with as time which I couldn't measure pass until I saw it, a translucent light blue platform which had what looked like a board in front of it. I moved forward not knowing whether it was due to the swimming motions I was going through or the force of will which drove me forward to the first object I had seen in how long days, months, years? I would never know but I had only one mission, to reach my target and I was glad I did when I heard a robotic sounding female voice and as I got closer and saw a floating text on an almost transparent blue background which said, " WELCOME Entity No. 1920300001, to your karma cycle! "

I watched dumbly as text started to appear in English on the board.

NIRVANA SYSTEM USER

NAME BEFORE DEATH: JAKE WELLINGTON

AGE BEFORE DEATH: 45

ORIGIN WORLD: EARTH 12007

TOTAL ACHIEVEMENT POINTS: 8005000000

REWARD: 3 WISHES

REINCARNATION INTO FICTIONAL WORLD OF CHOICE

CONGRATULATIONS FOR LIVING AN EXCEPTIONAL LIFE!

I read everything and thought to myself," I really have gone crazy but if it is true what could I have done which warrants such a reward."

I combed through my memories until it clicked, my family's corporation had various branches which I gained my knowledge on various areas of expertise in science and commerce stemmed from various visits to those branches to gain practical knowledge on various topics and even assisting the researchers who helped me with their work when they though me skilled enough to do so and which my imagination and newly gained knowledge I helped them create various items and processes which would help a large number of people such as bio-engineered creatures which could safely digest industrial waste and a special large scale gas filter which would filter various useful gases from the air except oxygen which helped in removing gases which could be used but weren't good for biological life. I had taken part in those projects for the challenge and the money I would receive to fund my hobbies and other projects.

"It seems the system believes the contribution I made helped the world if the points were awarded according to the amount of people my actions helped if the achievement points worked how I thought they did, well let's think about what I'll do with my rewards."

Now you might be wondering," Why is this guy taking a floating text that came out of nowhere so seriously?"

Well there are two answers to that: 1. After being in that void for so long with only my ind as company I didn't really care what it was as long as it occupied my time.

2. My experience had taught me that as long as I was experiencing something whether physically or mentally and it benefitted me, I should accept it as my reality and enjoy it for as long as I can, so even if this ended up not being real and just some elaborate dream I would enjoy it.

I thought carefully about which world I would like to go to and how I could use the three wishes to give me the highest chance of succeeding and enjoying my life there, after what seemed like hours I came to a decision which I spoke to the system.

"The world I choose for my reincarnation is the world within the fictional universe known as NARUTO."

The voice said as the words replaced the previous ones on the window, "World set as stage for reincarnation: NARUTOVERSE "

"My first wish is to have my character's abilities from my game."

"Wish DENIED"

I saw the words and asked," Why?"

"Some abilities of character in user's game directly interfere with plausibility and continuity of selected world and might destroy it upon manifestation."

"So what you are saying is that my character's abilities could potentially destroy the naruverse the moment I enter it."

"Yes."

"Nirvana System wants to propose wish which will satisfy user's need, does user Jake want to see it."

"Yes."

"SUGGESTION: I wish to have a RPG gamer system with a status window that I can set up. ACCEPT/DECLINE"

"Accept."

I watched as a status window appeared and started reading and noticed that some of the sections were barred to prevent me from editing them and I started to get disappointed until I saw it, I did a small victory dance as I saw my title slot and five free skill slots alongside the already equipped and classic Gamer's Mind and Gamer's Body skills and quickly decided how to fill it as I had a gone through a similar scenario before and looked at it with excitement before filling the sections which could be altered. I finished up and looked at my newly created status window in pride and saying to myself," Now this is a winner's setup"

I looked at my status window with glee as I went over my status window committing all the explanations to memory just in case they wouldn't be displayed again and thought of my next wish, smirking as my next wish came to mind. My first wish showed me that the Nirvana System would always make decisions based on the system and information of the world its user was entering with it being the world of Naruto in my case.

With this in mind I made my second wish," I wish to be born in Konoha with the blood of the three most powerful clans in the shinobi world running in my veins in the same year as Naruto Uzumaki."

I expected another suggestion to replace my very specific wish but was proven wrong when I heard the robotic voice speak again, "Wish granted!"

I was speechless as I floated in that space, wondering if my HONORED ONE skill was already in effect before breaking out into a boisterous laugh as I calmed myself down enough to speak," I would like to make my last wish after I am reincarnated."

" Request accepted!"

ENJOY YOUR NEXT LIFE AND DO YOUR BEST!

This was the last message I saw as my form started to glow an ethereal white and little flakes of light broke of my ghostly body and my vision went black.

A/N- Hello guys melancholymike here.

It's my first time writing a fanfic and I hope I can write a story that you can enjoy.

You might've noticed the fact that the MC who was stated to like challenges seems to be pulling all the stops to make things easier for himself. In th last chapter he still thought what he was experiencing was apart of his extremely vivid imagination and the slightly crazy MC (being stuck in a void with senseory deprivation does that to a man) assumes it's one of his daydreams and as a result tries to prepare for the kind of difficulty he subconsciously pits himself through in those daydreams. To put it simply he was always playing at hardcore difficulty and got skills to combat that difficulty without realising that he was moved to a new server.
