Sup guys, Lighting Wolf here, time for another story, this one about Destiny. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I do not own Destiny, Bungie, and Microsoft do.
(Titan)
The Hunter panted, exhausted as he leaned on the wall… The bodies of several dead Vex surrounded him.
And the one he had come to hunt had been eager to kill him.
Eramis, Kell of the House of Salvation. The woman who had a bounty on her head the size of a small fleet. The Eliksni had caused untold damage to the entire city.
She glared at him through her helm, growling but tired just as well… For there was no telling what had been done now. She had been worn down slowly but surely and the exhaustion, while hidden? Was that they were in no position to fight.
"Light-bearer…" Eramis hissed, trying to haul herself to her feet. "What now? Come to finish me off?" Eramis asked.
Her voice sounded gentle like a parent but her gaze was full of hatred. The Guardians were the ones to inhabit the light? After the damn Whirlwind, where they had been subjected to something worse?
No, not fair… Not for the damn light bearers… Not for her people.
She lifted her shock sword to gut the hunter, she knew he was tired, the knife slipping through his fingers and his gun smoking from exhausted all but two rounds.
She found the strength to leave her as she crashed to the ground, she had fought as her people had… And he had survived as his people have.
"What's the endgame? Going to take over the city, fly a fancy banner?" He asked.
"No." Eramis hissed. "The traveler… It betrayed my kind, yet you humans cling to it like a bauble, a trinket." He stated.
"Lady? I did not even have a single speck of light on me a year ago… We live in the dust, in the dark… I do not need fancy tech to survive." He stated, staggering over.
She snorted, a crude chortle extending from her lungs. She could tell that he of all people was tired and even exhausted, yet? Still, he fought… 'Hunters' as she had heard, never gave up. They lived outside the city, outside the warmth of the great machine.
She knew this… She knew this and she knew a guardian like him did not need the great machine to fight. She had fought and he had danced with her, blade fending off her sword, gun singing its tale into the air.
It made sense he had thrived where others had not… Grasped something that needed to be dealt with now and for good reason.
Even then? It had been hard to figure out… And much harder to understand… It was clear that a line had been crossed and exhaustion had set in.
Then came the shrieks of Eliksni, her people. She supposed the time had been done for their talk.
Only? What emerged was not those of House Salvation… But soldiers of the House of Dusk… Scavengers, pirates who had decided to band together for the sake of the people.
They glared at her, muttering in their tongues as they surrounded the guardian. She snorted.
House Dusk had no Kell… No, there was no way. He could not have been the Kell, it was impossible.
They had no Kell, she held more than half their people in her thrall and NOW Dusk had decided to turn? She snorted as she glared at them.
"The boy is with us… The boy shall not be hurt at the time being." She wished not to have heard before she looked to the side.
She was eager to figure it out and thought of what was growing on her mind as she thought of what was being dusted for now and thought about what was growing more and more.
She had hissed before now as she thought of what was being done and dusted as she clicked her fingers as she clicked it into place.
Eramis was growing more and more interested in what was being done when it came down to it. She was fascinated as of now when it came crashing was being done and dusted at the end of the time being.
She clicked her fingers and then sighed before she thought once more as she clicked her brain into way before it was all said and done.
Amusement was a thing she did not wish for.
Author notes
Phew. The first chapter is done! I want to thank the site for adding Eramis as I have wanted to write about her for a while. I am glad my request went through… The next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show more of the House of Dusk and House of Salvation talking and more of what was going on. Until the 900–6500-word chapter. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out!
