Chapter 1

"This appears to be the place." Thought a middle aged, gray haired man with black eyes in a black formal suit as he rode in his limousine through the quiet, small Japanese City of Namimori. "She always did prefer a quiet lifestyle in the Human World over one in the Dark World."

This man was Edwin Black, a powerful Vampire of the Dark World and leader/founder of NOMAD, a multinational group that specializes in precision instruments, heavy industry, military and much more. However, these were all fronts for hidden businesses that were semi-legal and not so legal such as smuggling, arms deals, drugs, assassinations and other stuff.

Such a powerful man driving through a place like Namimori would be a cause of concern, however Edwin was not looking for trouble. He was looking for one specific person in question.

His daughter Nana.

Now, the Primal Vampire was many things and he would admit that one of those things was being a cold and detached man who wouldn't care if the world burned down around him. He also would admit that he wasn't the fatherly type and only saw his daughters as people of interest. However, it didn't mean he was completely out of their lives as he would watch them from a distance and observe, but not get involved in any way.

With the exception of Nana, who wanted to live in peace and not worry about people like him keeping track of her. That was fine with him considering she didn't exhibit a vampire's bloodlust nor did she even awaken a Taimanin Art of hers when she was young. She did however have a moderate amount of vampiric power to her.

Not enough to take an interest in, but enough that she was able to live independently and take care of herself.

Seeing the limo stopping at a moderately large house with a sign on the wall that read "Sawada Residence", he knew it was where Nana lived from his simple surveillance of her.

While he did leave her alone, it didn't mean he was completely in the dark about her current life.

Case in point, her being married to a braying fool of a man that reminded Black of Lion Beastmen with the exception that said Beastmen knew when to keep their mouths shut.

How such a foolish little man like Iemistsu managed to gain her interest, he'd had no idea but was curious enough to find out from the source.

Stepping out, he opened the gate and walked up to the house and rang the doorbell three times. Hearing a loud "Coming!", he knew that his estranged daughter was home and waited for her to open the door.

When the door opened, standing there was a short young woman with a modest figure, short brown hair in a bob style, slightly pointed ears and amber-brown colored eyes that glowed in surprise and wariness at seeing him in such a long time.

"F-father…" The woman stuttered out in shock. "W-what are you doing here?"

"Hello Nana." Edwin said with a slight smile as he stared at her. "It's been such a long time since we've seen each other. May I come in?"

Edwin was quickly rushed inside the house and into the living room as Nana closed the door and went into the kitchen to make some tea to calm her nerves. Quickly looking around, the ancient vampire saw there were some pictures of Nana on the walls with one of them being of her and Iemitsu married and looking happy together while another had her with a young boy in her lap.

"Interesting, looks like she has a son." Edwin thought to himself with a smirk as Nana came into the living room with some tea for herself and coffee for him and sat across from him. He took a sip from the caffeinated drink and noticed it had a hint of blood to it (Looks like she remembered how he takes his coffee). He then stared at Nana and from the look on the half-vampire's face it was obvious that his sudden arrival bothered her but was willing to be civil and hear what he had to say.

The two sat in silence for a while until Nana broke the silence.

"So then". She said as she took a sip of her tea. "Any particular reason why you decided to show up?" She asked in a tone that left no room for games and would've made lesser men feel intimidated.

For him however, he simply smiled and chuckled a bit which seemed to annoy her. "Oh come now Nana, can't an elderly father show some care for his daughter and see how she's doing these days?" He said in a calm yet joking tone.

Nana snorted. "Really? Considering I left home long ago to get away from the drama and politics along with avoiding that nutcase I called a sister, I hardly doubt this is a simple house call and more like you want something." She said rather sarcastically.

"On the contrary it is." Edwin said calmly unfazed by the Dhampir's sarcasm. "I just wanted to see what you were up to and if anything has changed. As for your sister, well you know how spirited Felicia can get and she wasn't trying to hurt you."

Nana stopped drinking her tea and looked at her father with a deadpan look. "I remember her chasing me around with a scythe when we were preteens because she thought it was funny and considered it a form of tag."

Edwin just shrugged at that. "Eh details, either way she wasn't intending to kill you and only wanted to test your strength. If she went too far I would've stepped in and disciplined her."

"Doubt it." Nana countered as she stared at the Primal Vampire. "You probably would've considered it an experiment of sorts and let her kill me if you thought there was no reason to intervene. I only got her to back off and leave me alone with a blood-enhanced punch that caught her off guard."

"Perhaps." Edwin said with another shrug, not really denying that he would've let Felicia kill Nana if he considered the idea.

If only because she didn't show promise in becoming a powerful vampire and thus useful to him.

Soon silence fell until Edwin drank some of his coffee and sighed before looking at Nana rather stoically. "So then, mind telling me how you got married in the first place? And to some foolish looking man that would've made Lion Beastmen annoyed at his arrogance." He questioned.

Nana sighed in annoyance and looked at her tea before looking at her father. "To tell you the truth, I don't know why I married Iemitsu in the first place. He came off as someone who was nosy and loud, but had this scent about him that felt like the sky in a way along with feeling like an odd fire of sorts." She sighed rather dreamily before snapping out of it and scowling. "However, when I had my son Tsuna I realized that his scent had a cloying smell reeking of arrogance and self-entitlement that made me feel dizzy and unable to think properly for a while." She finished looking quite angry and frustrated.

"Mhmm, I see. And where is he exactly?" Edwin asked curiously and Nana just sighed in frustration.

"I have no idea. Damn idiot never bothered to leave a proper phone number or even contact information to get ahold of him. Never mind that he leaves for an unknown amount of time and only comes back for a few days before leaving again!" She almost yelled out as she vented to her father who continued to listen. "It's gotten to the point that Tsuna barely remembers him as it is, never mind the neighbors have been making disparaging comments about his absence behind my back."

"I see, I see." Mused the Primal Vampire as he drank more of his coffee. The more he listened to his daughter's rant the lower his opinion of Iemitsu became.

Honestly, what kind of person tries to give their child alcohol or forgets to catch them while throwing them up into the air? It was starting to sound like the man didn't care for his son and treated him like a doll or even an accessory of sorts.

Compared to the scruffy looking blonde human, Edwin was a better parent even by slightly and that was saying something.

"And he even had the gall to have Tsuna's powers sealed away when he was five! Muttering something about not needing them since he was a civilian and keeping him out of the family or something!" Nana finished her rant as her eyes started to turn an angry red.

"I'm sorry, what?" The Primal Vampire said with a raised eyebrow. Not believing that Nana's so-called husband would be that foolish to begin with.

From the look on her face, suffice to say that Iemitsu really was a complete utter fool of a man.

"It all started when Tsuna was five. Iemitsu came back home with some old Italian man named Timoteo." Nana said with such venom it surprised the old vampire. "I had a feeling something was off about him considering his scent also smelled like the sky except it was older and felt drenched in bloodshed, crime and regrets. Not to mention claiming to be Tsuna's grandfather. When I came back home from the store with ingredients to make some Italian Dishes, Tsuna was acting odd with Iemitsu claiming it was because he fell from the tree getting his ball."

"So after he and that man left I took Tsuna to the doctor, but he found nothing wrong with him physically nor mentally even though I sensed something was wrong." She continued. "However, in a few days he became too skittish for some reason along with becoming clumsy. It got so bad his grades were slipping to the point teachers were starting to notice and I was getting the feeling he was getting bullied by other kids since I would see bruising on him even though they would fade after a while."

Nana would've said more, but was stopped when Edwin got up and looked at her rather seriously. "I believe I've heard enough. It seems that your husband is a complete fool who thought it acceptable to seal your son's powers for reasons unknown." He said as he looked around. "Where is Tsuna by the way? I would like to assess the situation and see how bad it really is."

Nana was surprised, not believing her estranged father would really care about her son's plight unless he had a plan and wanted something out of it.

"H-he's still at school, but they're getting out soon." She stuttered out but looked at Black with a suspicious glare. "Why do you care? It's rare for you to take such an interest in something unless it benefits you in some way."

"If I'm led to believe from your story, then I certainly have a feeling that your son's power may be something that a certain group of humans have." Edwin said. "And no it's not a Taimanin Ninja Art, but more like a special type of fire that's used by those in the human criminal underworld." He theorized and continued. "I can take a look at it to see what the seal is, but to prevent this from happening again I need him to live with me and train him in his power."

"I see…." Nana said hesitantly. "If it helps then I'll allow it and let him live with you for a while. Just please… promise me that you won't get him involved in whatever illegal businesses that NOMAD might have." She nearly begged in front of the ancient vampire.

Edwin's eyes softened somewhat. "Nana I can't promise you anything, but you have my word that I won't have him involved with my group's business. Besides, I'm actually pretty interested in wanting to spend time with my grandson."

"That's all I ask for." Nana said tearfully before hugging him, surprising the old vampire. "I missed you so much… papa."

The Vampire sighed, but hugged her as well. "I missed you as well…"

"My dear sweet daughter."

When little Tsuna was picked up by his mama from school and told that his grandfather was visiting and would be taking him to live with him to be homeschooled, well he was nervous because he was worried that it was the old man again that came with the drunken blonde man who claimed to be his father.

However, his mama told him that it wasn't the old man and that if he ever showed his face again along with the scruffy blonde man she would kill the both of them in the most painful way possible.

He was inclined to agree with his mama. She could get very scary despite being so sweet and nice.

Grandpa Edwin in his opinion was kinda scary looking and a bit cold. Almost like a big scary Dragon, but the young Dhampir could sense there was a hidden kindness beneath it all.

He hugged his grandad, who hugged him back albeit rather awkwardly almost as if he wasn't used to hugs.

His mama giggled, having packed his stuff and put it in the trunk of his grandfather's limo with help from the driver, a young looking dark skinned woman who looked like a cyborg of sorts.

"Now be good for your grandfather and try not to cause too much trouble okay?" Nana said as she hugged her son.

"D-don't worry mama, I will." Tsuna stuttered out, red from embarrassment.

"Just making sure sweetie. Your grandfather is a busy businessman after all." She teased, giving him one final hug. "Also, I heard he employs some rather pretty ladies. So maybe if you're real polite one of them could end up as your wife when you're older."

"MOM!"

Edwin rolled his eyes, but smirked slightly at Nana teasing her son. His group did "employ" some women but they were mostly demons looking to acquire humans as servants or breeding subjects. The rare few human women that did work didn't stay human for long as they often got corrupted and turned into demons themselves.

That or Oboro broke them too quickly whenever she was in one of her moods.

The drive to Tokyo was only a few hours long, and by then it was already evening as the sun was beginning to set.

"Woah, so cool." Said an amazed Tsuna as he saw many of the various tall buildings and bright lights as they went through the city.

"Yes, you're right about that." Edwin said while chuckling. "Tokyo is a pretty big place. Full of wonder and mystery along with being home to a lot of people."

Soon, they stopped at a large black building that many people referred to as The Dark Tower. It was mostly an office place used for the more bureaucratic side of NOMAD that kept the group running and kept the authorities from noticing any suspicious activity that went on. It also had underground labs for medical and research purposes.

As they got out of the limo and went inside, they were greeted by two rather busty women in assistant-like attires at the entrance. The first woman had dark skin, long pink hair, thick looking eyebrows, purple lips, amber yellow eyes and a stern look to her face that softened when she saw Black and Tsuna.

The second woman however had fair skin, short violet looking hair in a bob cut, red lips, violet looking eyes and a mocking look on her face as she glanced at the first woman.

"Ingrid, Oboro I'm back." Edwin greeted the two women. "I trust that everything was going smoothly while I was out, yes?"

"Of course Lord Black. Everything has been going according to plan." Ingrid said rather dutifully before glaring at Oboro who whistled trying to look innocent. "However there were a few problems that were easily fixed."

"~Ara Ara~, no need to look at me so harshly Iggy." Oboro said with a mocking smile. "It was just a few files that were misplaced."

"Oboro, those files are very important for Lord Black's businesses and thus can not be misplaced as you say!" Ingrid said as an angry tick mark appeared on her head. "And stop calling me Iggy!"

"Ahem, ladies please stop fighting." Edwin said calmly yet sternly, causing the two women to cease arguing. "We have a guest who will be staying with us for a while." He pointed to Tsuna who hid behind his grandfather, blushing slightly at the two pretty ladies who glanced at him with raised eyebrows.

"Lord Black who is this?" Ingrid asked curiously while staring at the young Dhampir and mentally cooing at him "Aww, he's so cute!"

Oboro rolled her eyes, almost as if she knew what her co-worker was thinking. "She always had a soft spot for kids." She thought mockingly, but was curious as well.

"This is Tsunayoshi Sawada or just Tsuna, he's my grandson." The old vampire declared, which caused both women to freeze up when they heard that.

"O-oh! I-I see." Ingrid stuttered before straightening out and looking down at Tsuna with a warm smile. "Hello there Tsuna, as you've heard my name is Ingrid and I work for your grandfather. Hope you have a wonderful time here."

"N-nice to meet you miss Ingrid!" Tsuna stuttered out shyly, to which the dark skinned woman found to be rather adorable.

"What a cute kid." Oboro muttered rather sarcastically. "Any reason why you brought him here Lord Black?"

"I brought him here because my daughter Nana married a complete fool of a man who found it acceptable to put a seal on his power and claimed he would not need it since he was a civilian." Black said with sarcasm. "It apparently has been messing with his social life to the point he's been struggling in school and dealing with bullying and harassment."

"WHAT?!"

After calming down an enraged Ingrid and telling her "No you can't hunt down Iemitsu and kill him, but if he ever decides to show up you're more than welcome to beat him senseless", Edwin and Tsuna went down to one of the underground labs to meet with Doctor Kiryu Sabato to remove the seal on the little Dhampir.

The second that the Demon Doctor took a look at the seal, he was rather intrigued and curious yet also rather shocked and horrified. While the young looking middle aged man was rather sadistic at times and had little morality, he would never do something like seal up a child's power and let them be miserable for some perceived reason.

"Well you're in luck child." Doctor Sabato said as he held up a device that was hell tech in nature. "While the seal is certainly a strong one, it can be safely broken with enough force."

Tsuna was a little scared when the Doctor held up the device, but was glad that the seal could be removed.

Within an hour or so and with some demonic magic from Edwin Black, the seal was off and gone for good.

Of course though, it had the unintended side effect of activating Tsuna's flames and turning them from Latent to Active. Bright Orange flames swirled wildly around the young Dhampir while a large flame-like crown laid upon his forehead and his eyes glowed a bright amber-red color.

"Fascinating…" Doctor Sabato said with a hitched breath as he watched the flames danced around and noticed how pure and warm they felt.

"Indeed, right about that Doctor." Black said with a grin, finally realizing the kind of power that his grandson had.

Iemitsu really was such a fool for trying to squander such potential.

Soon, things got more interesting when Ingrid came down, having felt the flames and was getting worried about Tsuna. The minute she rushed over to Tsuna and touched him, flames appeared around her as well along with a flame-like crown. Only this time the flames were a deep crimson red mixed in with purple/pale violet.

Both scientist and primal vampire had little idea on what this meant though they had their theories.

Either way, the next few years were going to be very interesting.

(End of Story/Author Notes)

There you have it guys! The first ever Katekyo Hitman Reborn and Taimanin Asagi Crossover Fanfic ever to be made (that I know of). In all honesty, I'm trying to branch out and test the waters with new fanfic ideas and see what works.

Not actually sure if I got Black's personality right, but on his profile it says he's a rather noble demon in spite of what happens within Nomad and will stay true to his word and play fair to a degree. Either way, I think I did an okay job.

Now in regards to what Universe this fanfic may set in, none really but it's similar to the Online Universes (TABA, RPGX and Action) to an extent.

And don't worry guys, I'm not gonna abandon Fall of the Gods. I'm just wanting to work on something new and see if it will stick.

Also, give me ideas on what Tsuna's other Guardians should be. Already have Ingrid acquired early as his Storm Guardian though she has a Cloud Secondary. Can be characters from either series or even others from different anime and video games.

Well that's it, hope you guys enjoy reading this and are having a good Summer and upcoming Fourth of July. See you later my fellow Followers of Chaos!
