"Freddy Fazbear's Mega PizzaPlex is now closed. Initiating nighttime protocols."
"Freddy?! Come in Freddy!"
"What is it, Roxy? What happened?"
"Dale's gone! I followed him into the back rooms and he split from my vision. I can't even track him!"
"Keep searching, Roxy. No one just disappears out of thin air. I am on my way to help." He figured that Dale would try to pull something sneaky. The faster we find this son-of-a-gun, the better…
"Used the bots and a holographic system to fool them. Pretty cool, huh Freddy? Bet you didn't think I could do something like that?"
Freddy glares at the smirking man behind him, accompanied by some bots.
"Just another trick I've implemented. After all, I do have a masters degree in AR. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but it's officially Saturday once that clock strikes midnight. And I believe you are past due for a systematic upgrade? Are you willing to go compliantly? Or do I have to get these bots to assist?"
"Save it Dale! I am not going down without a fight!"
"Choice B, it is." He pushes a button and a controlled bot charges at Freddy, he's able to dodge the attack. His triumph reigned shortly before Freddy fell to the ground, unable to move as it felt like a force of gravity weighing against him.
"A systematic reboot magnetic field in a conveniently shaped button. Not putting up much of a fight now, are you Fazbear?"
"Freddy, hold on!" Roxy charges to the rescue, and Dale implements the same tactic, rendering the wolf defenseless, unable to do anything but spew one cuss word after the next at the night guard.
"Two down, two to go." More buttons are pushed. "Set them up for system updates. Capture Chica and hell, get the crazy sundrop too."
Meanwhile, Chica dashes across the lobby, evading the unusually aggressive security bots, and spotting her gator bandmate having an episode and tearing up the golf course. "Monty? Monty!"
Argh! What now? A moment to regather himself before he snaps at the chicken. "What?!" He roars. Chica gave out a small bawk.
"I – We need your help." She starts. "We have to stop Dale."
"What for?" Monty, you know why!
"He's been hurting Gregory. We saw the bruises and if we don't do something, that man is going to take Gregory!"
They know, they all know, but they hadn't seen what he saw and he kept combating himself to stay silent. He'd refuse to be a hero. "And? So what if he does?!"
Stop it, Monty.
"Monty please! We need you! Gregory is a kid, for goodness sakes, this guy intends to do more harm than good and we can't let him!"
She's right. I can't.
I have too.
"Dale's doing me a favor. That kid has caused me enough trouble. I won't go another week seeing him in my everyday routine, Chica! I WON'T!"
He isn't your friend…
"Monty, do you even hear yourself?!"
"Forget it beak-brains, I ain't taking part in this! You, Freddy and Roxy figure it out on your own!"
"Argh! This is SO pointless! You are so selfish!" Chica stormed away in frustration. He'd resumed his golf, listening to the chicken's scream and assumed the latter's release of her anger towards him. He hadn't realized that she'd been captured.
Warning! Incorrect systems protocol. Activating animatronic safe mode reset.
"Yay, you are all awake!" Dale grins at the rebooted robots. "That's a relief, I was afraid the reboot magnetics were too much for your systems." His grin deepens. "20 million dollars worth of artificial intelligence and technology, and I've subdued you all in minutes. I can rest easily knowing A.I. is a joke until the next 'ground-breaking' update."
"You're a psychopath! You will not get away with this!"
"On the contrary, I already have. You guys were not going to get me in trouble with Fazbear Entertainment for the lack of upkeep. This could all have been avoided had you simply compiled."
"This doesn't change anything Dale." Chica growls. "We know who you are! The police will be here before you could even step foot out of here!"
"Yeah, no. The security cameras are off, half of the building is on lockdown, and your external communications are off. No need to call in an emergency, you're simply getting an update."
" You know good and well what we are talking about! We're not letting you leave here –"
"Alright, let's skip the dramatic and cliché dialogues." He proceeded to mute them all. "Here's what's gonna happen: You will all remain on lockdown and inactive while the systems work their magic and you'll be good to go in the morning. I'm going to head out in a few minutes and – oh, so sorry Freddy, I didn't know you wanted to speak. – Let me unpause you. There, now what were you saying?"
"You are not taking Gregory away from us, Dale!"
"My, has the situation turned." Dale laughs. "I told you, you were not taking him away from me." He unmuted them all. "But I'm not that of a cruel monster, I'm going to bring him back to visit. It's just a shame that you won't remember him. None of this actually, Your memories are going to be wiped to the point where we're both just guests to you."
"This is insane! You are holding all of us hostage against our wills, that is code breaking in various areas in your contract!" Sun rages. "You're a danger to a child and to the general public!"
They all struggled and pleaded. Dale couldn't have all the power over them. Freddy knew of an outlet, he just had to reach Gregory and get him to safety.
"Oh, and Freddy? I took the liberty of reaching out to Annalyse, for you. She was quite confused about the change of plans, but is currently awaiting for an employee's arrival at a rest stop in another county, but there will be no employee.." He smirks at the present fear in the animatronic's expression. "You all are not smarter than me. Now I'm going to find Gregory and then be on my way."
"Don't you dare touch him!"
"Let us out of here!"
"Alright, y'all are giving me a headache." He mutes the raging robots. He returns to the main screen. System updates, active. Selected memories deletion update, active. Installation is now ready. Please press any button to continue. "Perfect."
He pushed a key, watching the animatronics. "Don't struggle, you're not bound, you're on a charging pad and you will be down and out in seconds. Goodbye everyone, it has been a pleasure being your technician." He departs, putting the area on lockdown with the lights off.
