After The Storm

Chapter 33

Awhile later

Brooke smiled as she entered and saw Salem awaiting her in the living room.

(I finished you're dress.) Brooke announced.

Salem 's face lit up when she saw it.

A dimpled grin came across her face as she giggled and laughed. Hugging the dress then her mom.

(Momma it's perfect!) Salem replied.

(Davis women look beautiful in all colors but something about purple and red that makes us pop.

The dress was purple and white with green straps.

(This will go great with my basket. Can I go try it on.?) Salem asked.

(You can. Show me. Then we'll hang it up. Until the wedding.) Brooke replied.

Watching as Salem raced upstairs. This wedding meant as much to them as it did to their daughter.

It has to be perfect. Brooke decided. For them but also for Salem.

It was in that moment that Brooke decided she would make her own wedding dress.

...

(Let me know what Salem thinks of my should do this again. Hang out. Catch up.) Peyton insisted.

(We're in cellphone contact again so that could happen.) Lucas replied.

Peyton waited until Lucas was driving away before she went back inside.

...

Lucas wasn't expecting to see Nathan there. Awaiting him.

(I'm sorry Nate did we have plans?) (Jamie and Lydia are going to be in the wedding too.)

(I'm sure Brooke has the details on that.) Lucas proclaimed.

(Since when are you hanging out with Peyton?) Nathan questioned.

(I understand that Brooke and her have their problems but Peyton and I had our own friendship outside of the drama.) Lucas explained.

(Do you honestly believe friendship will be enough for Peyton?)

(I don't like you and her being in contact. It's blurring boundaries.) Nathan replied.

(People can't grow and evolve?) Lucas questioned.

(Peyton came back from LA for you. We're not in high school anymore Lucas.)

(Brooke will only see this one way. If Peyton 's moved on it needs to be without you in her life.) Nathan advised.

(I asked Brooke to marry me. That should be enough for her. ) Lucas replied. Before going inside the home.
