A/N: WHAT IS UP MUCKAAAACHUNGAAAAAS!? IT'S TRAVEZTY! And today I'm here to bring you guys another chapter in my new take on Cyber Effect! As you guys can probably guess, while I haven't gotten to a few key points in Cyberpunk 2077's Story that include Johnny Silverhand, I did end up getting spoiled about a certain point in the story, one that has Johnny actually playing guitar, so I'm actually going to be naming each of the Books after those 3 Songs in Order as they appear in that mission: Chippin' In, Never Fade Away, and Archangel. I thought that might get some attention, and I have to say, after listening to the songs, I'm pleasantly surprised that I actually liked them quite a bit, not sure which of the songs is my favorite though.

In any case, I'm betting you guys were surprised to see Johnny Silverhand take the place of the Prothean VI Hope from the end of my last story, huh? Well honestly, I did do a bit of research on Johnny, plus I kind of figured that things would be a bit more interesting if I brought him into Cyber Effect. Now, let me be clear on this with all of you guys, I didn't get far enough into Cyberpunk 2077 on my first playthrough (which the data got corrupted after not playing it for so long that I had to start all over) that I didn't get a good read on Johnny's personality, so my interpretation is what I've gotten from what few spoilers I've allowed myself to see to try and get a good sample size to build up on it. Again, I want to stress this, but I don't have a good read on Johnny's personality, so I'm basically working with bits and pieces from a small handful of spoilers I've seen so far, so cut me some slack! Please?

In any case, aside from that this story is going to go off the rails with the proper flow of events because this is my fanfiction, and in this fanfiction, the Quarians and the Humans made First Contact instead of the Turians, so the Quarians are part of the Alliance. Not only that, Shepard and Tali already have something of a pre-established story together, which I will expand upon later during some downtime activities. Aside from that, I'm going to stress this, but I'm basing my Cyber Effect Shepard based on the Spy from TF2 and Sombra from Overwatch, but with Cyberpunk and Mass Effect's technology! Aside from that, I'm wondering something, should I give Shepard his own personal Skycar modeled after one of the Rayfield Cars, Aerondight or Caliburn , or possibly the First Eddition of a "Skybike", based on the Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X? I want to hear your guys's opinion on the matter, but aside from that, I think that's enough out of me for now. Please be sure to Follow, Favorite, Review, and Share this story with anyone and everyone you know who likes Cyberpunk 2077 and Mass Effect Content! Catch ya on the Flipside! Shepard…

Chapter 1: Tech-Heads

"Doctor? Doctor Chakwas! He's coming to!" Ashley Williams says.

"Not so loud, ya gonks…" V says as he sits up, holding his head with a painful groan, "I feel like somebody hit me with a rocket propelled Krogan Warhammer…"

"Well you had us all worried there, Commander? Any other symptoms?"

"Just some lingering pain, and I think hallucinations…" Shepard says.

"Not Hallucinations…?" A Voice says, in which the figure from Shepard's Unconscious mind says, appearing against the wall, leaning against it with a smile on his face. "Merely downloadable content…"

"Who are you!?" Shepard shouts, drawing his gun and aiming it at the figure.

"Shepard!?" Ashley says, stepping back as she draws her gun and Doctor Chakwas steps out of the way, but sees nothing there. "Doctor Chakwas, what's going on?"

"Go ahead and try shooting me, gonk, you'll hit nothing but the wall… Besides, your compatriots can't see me…" The Figure says, smiling as he takes off his sunglasses, smiling at V, who looks back at him with a cautious look.

"Guys, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Shepard asks.

"No, we don't see anything…!"

"Told ya, braindead…" The man says, smiling before grabbing Shepard's wrist and flipping him onto the ground, much to the shock of everyone who is watching. "Besides, while they can't see or touch me, you can, and vice versa."

"Shepard, I think this is the after-effects of the Beacon, whatever you're seeing must've happened because of how it interacted with your cybernetics." Doctor Chakwas says.

"She's damn right about that…" The man says, then offering his left hand, revealing his entire left arm is mechanical, and covered in silver.

"No way… Johnny Silverhand?" Shepard asks, shocked, taking the man's hand.

"Johnny Silverhand?" Ashley asks.

"An Earthborn Terrorist of the 2020s…" Doctor Chakwas says, "In 2077 he reappeared as an AI inside the head of Shepard's Great Grandfather…" Shepard stands up, "I don't know what happened but…"

"I thought you entered Mikoshi…" Shepard says, looking at Johnny.

"I did, and with the Fall of Arasaka, the rest o the Engrams and I ended up on the Net… Not only that, my chip had rewritten your great gramps's DNA to the point that he was partly me… and that DNA was passed down to you… When that Beacon interacted with your DNA, my Engram found it's way to you and ended up in your head. Luckily, unlike your gramps, you don't have a Relic overriding your brain, so you're safe from me taking it over, unless you allow me to." Shepard tells this to those in the room.

"This is all my fault… I must've triggered some sort of security field when I went to get a better look at it…" Ashley says, "I'm sorry, Commander."

"Well, it's better than getting my head turned into scrambled brains, that's for sure. Besides, if my great gramps could put up with this guy, then I guess I can live with him."

"Better get used to it, kid, cuz that's not your only problem right now." Johnny says.

"Unfortunately we'll never know what truly activated the Beacon…" Doctor Chakwas says.

"The damn thing exploded, a system overload of some kind. The blast ko'd you and the Lieutenant and I had to drag you back to the Normandy."

"Well thanks… I appreciate it!"

"Aside from that, you're physically fine, but aside from that, and possibly detecting Silverhand's presence in your head, I detected your brainwaves were acting quite erratically, mostly abnormal beta waves, as well as increased rapid eye movement. You must've been dreaming about something with extreme intensity." Doctor Chakwas says.

"Something got transferred over to me from the Beacon, some kind of information cache of some kind…" Shepard says, "However, all the information was wild and unfocused, but also extremely horrifying… If I remember correctly, Silverhand managed to refocus my mind so that I could wake up. So, thanks for that Silverhand."

"Humph… No problem." Johnny says.

"But what I was able to make out… I saw… Death and Destruction… Fleets of ships similar to the one we saw on Eden Prime, and the horrors of a war like I've never seen before… But worst of all, I saw alien creatures being turned into Cyberpsychos with a Hive Mind…" Shepard says, "The rest I can't make out."

"What you're seeing is the best I could do to organize it on my own while locking up the rest away…" Johnny says, "It wasn't easy, the data was badly damaged after somebody had used it previously." Shepard relays this to the group.

"Hmmm, this is definitely going into my report… It may-" That is when the door opens, "Captain Anderson!"

"Doctor, how's our XO?"

"Readings are normal now… Aside from a few details we just learned about, but all-in-all, he's going to be fine." Doctor Chakwas says, to which she then goes on to explain about Johnny Silverhand.

"Oh dear lord, the Council is just going to love this…" Anderson says, "Aside from that, I'm glad to hear it… Right now though, I need to speak with the Commander, in private."

"Aye aye, Captain. Commander, I'll be in the Mess Hall if you need me!" Ashley says, walking out, in which Chakwas follows suit.

"Pops…" Shepard says.

"Sounds like the Beacon did more than scramble your brains and hit you hard, son… Are you doing alright?"

"Honestly, no…" Shepard says, sitting down, "I hate it whenver a soldier dies under my command… It was Jenkins's first mission, and it ended so suddenly, right as he was moving to the next spot of cover…"

"Jenkins wasn't your fault, aside from that, you did a good job out there, and I'm sure the brat is smiling that he at least helped you get your mission done." Anderson explains. "Aside from that… I'll be straight with you, things are looking bad… Nihlus is dead, the beacon is destroyed, and now the Geth are invading… The Council is going to want answers."

"I did everything by the book, Captain, I am hoping the Council will see that!"

"Famous last words…"

"Shut up, Johnny!" Shepard says, to which Silverhand just playfully flips off V.

"Don't you worry about that, I'll stand with you all the way! You save Eden Prime against all odds, and you completed your mission, even if it botched at the finish line. However, the problem is going to be Saren, the other Turian. He's a Spectre, and one of the Best, a Living Legend. However, if he is in cahoots with the Geth, then it means he's gone rogue." Anderson turns to Shepards, "A Rogue spectre is as bad, if not worse, than a Cyberpsycho, and give him a hatred for humans, it only makes things worse."

"Why would he hate us?" Shepard asks.

"He thinks our race is growing too fast, and that we're taking over the Galaxy. A lot of non-human races think that way, but most of them won't do anything about it without invoking the Council's Wrath. Saren though, he's a Spectre, and can get away with whatever he wants if he has substantial "proof" to show that his actions are justified." Anderson explains. "And now he's allied with the Geth, how and why none of us know, but we know it has to do with the Beacon…"

"Before you ask about what I saw pops, I can't explain it properly, none of the data that got forced into my head is Coherent, and Johnny only barely managed to assemble bits and pieces that would give me something of a clue as to what was on it." Shepard says, to which he then begins to explain what he saw.

"Well whatever it was, we need to tell the Council, if they will allow us to project what was in your head, they may get an idea of what was on it."

"Oh sure, and how are we going to get them to believe us over Saren? That I had a bad dream induced by stress from sensory overload?" Shepard asks, sassily.

"Sass will get you nowhere, son, but you do make a good point. However, whatever was on that beacon, it could either be blueprints to a weapon of mass destruction or lost Prothean Technology. Whatever it is, Saren has it!" Anderson says, "And I know Saren, his reputation and politics. He thinks we're merely a plague upon the galaxy, a pestilence that needs to be controlled. What he's done now is an act of war. Now he has the information from the beacon and an army of Geth at his command, and he won't stop until Humanity's wiped off the face of the Galaxy!"

"Not if I have anything to say about it!"

"I appreciate your gusto, son, but you need to think on this. Saren's a Spectre, can go anywhere and do almost anything he wants. It's imperative that we get the Council on our side." Anderson says. That is when Johnny taps Shepard's shoulder and then motions towards Shepard's armor nearby, and Shepard brings the Recording Device from his stuff. "Oh I forgot you had that on you!"

"Let's Jack in and see what we can find!" Johnny says, in which the V nods and inserts his Interface Plug, which the two dive into the network of the device, finding there is a recording, one of the encounter between Saren and Nihlus, but the visual and audio are corrupted, probably from the damage it took. Once out, Shepard passes on the information to Anderson, who groans, but thinks there could be a way to save the data, if they take the time to do so. "Well, the only thing left to do is to gather what evidence we can then expose the Gonkin' turkey for what he is!" V explains Johnny's plan and Anderson nods.

"I'll contact Ambassador Udina, to see if he can get us an audience with the Council when we arrive… It will take us the rest of the day to get in range of the Citadel, and probably another day to get into the meeting, so rest up and come up with a plan then." Captain Anderson says, before leaving to go speak with Joker.

"So, what are you going to do now?" Johnny says.

"Check up on the Squad, then, I'm thinking about heading to find a place to check to see if Tali sent me a message while I was out, and then… Maybe tinker a bit before we arrive at the Citadel!" Shepard says.

"Hmmm… Well if you ever want to learn how to play any music, I'll be glad to help…" Johnny says, vanishing as he returns to… Wherever he came from… Exiting the Infirmary, he finds himself in the Mess Hall, where he sees Ashley Williams sitting in a chair, writing down something on a piece of paper, something rarely done nowadays.

"Commander!" Ashley says, standing up. "I'm glad you're okay! The Crew really could use some good news after what happened to Jenkins!" Shepard looks down, his sorrow evident.

"Jenkins was fresh, young, and brash, but he was a valued member of this crew… He'll be missed…" V says, "If only he had held his position for a few more seconds, he would've been fine."

"I know how you feel, part of me feels guilty about what happened to him." Ashley says, "If he was still alive, I wouldn't be here… I'm not even sure I deserve it…"

"You survived because you were made of tougher stuff than the rest of your team…" Shepard says, "Still, I think Jenkins would've been going gaga over you after seeing how you took down some drowns with a Gunpowder Weapon!"

"You noticed?" Ashley asks, nervously.

"Yeah! It was amazing how you managed to do that with something so low-tech, but…" Shepard holds in his geekdom for a minute and returns to reality, "Things go really hairy down there, how are you holding up?"

"I've lost friends before, comes with the territory, but I've never seen my whole squad wiped out like that." Ashley says, "Dead Civilians? You never get used to seeing that, but things could've been so much worse had you not shown up."

"Without your guidance, we would've been wandering about at random. So thanks for your assistance Williams. I would also like to be the first to welcome you aboard the Normandy!" Shepard says, smiling at her encouragingly.

"Thank you, sir. Though to be honest, I was a bit nervous about my assignment here." Ashley admits, "Still, it's really nice for people to treat you with kindness and respect for once."

"For once?" Shepard repeats, curious.

"Never mind that, I'll tell you some other time." Ashley says, realizing she had somehow slipped up.

"Alright, I'll let it go…" His eyes then narrow, jokingly, "For now…" He then gets a bright smile again, "In any case, welcome to the crew! If you're not doing anything later today, I can give you an upgrade on your guns if you want!"

"What kind of upgrade?" Ashley asks.

"Modern tech in Retro casings!" Shepard says, smiling, "Interested?"

"Hmmmm…" Ashley says, "I'll think about it!" Shepard smiles as he goes over to check up on the rest of his squad before finding someplace private to check his messages on the ExtraNet, and smiles once he realizes that he does have a message from Tali, and it just so happened to be sent not more than a few hours ago, right after he got knocked out.

"V

I don't know when you'll be getting this, but I heard that you're currently on a mission to Eden Prime. I need to warn you that I am currently on my way to the Citadel to warn Ambassador Udina of an Attack on Eden Prime, prepare yourself V, I think something crazy is about to head your way. The Geth are also beyond the Veil for the first time in Centuries, and they are much more advanced than what Quarian Records say they are, be careful!

Keelah Se'lai

Tali"

'A little late Tali, but I think if I can run into her on the Citadel, she might be able to help out with our investigation!' Shepard thinks, smiling.

"Tali

While I appreciate the Warning, it seems it came just a few hours too late. I had already gotten to Eden Prime and dealt with the threat by the time I got your message. I was also out cold when it arrived, so sorry for not replying. If you got any information about the attack on Eden Prime, know that I'm already on my way to the Citadel, stay low, and be careful, I'll try to find you there! Stay safe until I find you.

Keelah Se'lai

V"

With this message sent, Shepard begins to bring out his tools and begins to take apart the Geth Guns he had in his inventory, studying them as he begins to work on the improvements he could make to the Dying Night, smiling as he tinkers away, smiling as his tongue sticks out the side of his mouth, held there by his teeth as he continues to tinker away, his optics helping him see the circuitry with a smile on his face. However, a few hours later, the door opens as Shepard finishes his modifications to the Dying Night and his Thermal Clips. "Finally coming for an upgrade?" Shepard asks, smiling as he looks at Ashley, who walks in.

"Yes, and I would like to know how you actually do this!"

"You got your guns?" Shepard asks, smiling, to which Ashley hands over only her assault rifle, in which Shepard gives her a number of options for her to choose from. "Pick a gun, any gun, and I'll modify it. Just no Smart Weapons, that tech fell out of favor a long time ago!"

"Why not?" Ashley asks.

"Well while Smart Guns could pierce through Kinetic Barriers, the problem was is that you needed a Smart Link in your hands, and you need to keep your eyes locked onto your target until the bullets hit, which means that if they took cover or you broke eye contact by blinking, they became much slower bullets that were completely inaccurate." Shepard explains, "Humanity found that out during the Second Contact War."

"Ah…" Ashley says, to which she looks through the possible models and then notices one that gets her attention. "How about this one?" She touches a variant of the Nokota D5 Copperhead known as the Psalm 11:6.

"Oh, now there is a challenge I can't refuse!" Shepard says, smiling as he begins to bring out his components and, Ashley watches with amazement, as her commander starts tinkering away, retrofitting the gun into a more "primitive" casing whilst transferring all the necessary components over to the the gun, but then he seems to remove the cooling system for the modern guns before adding in a slot for his Thermal Clips. He smiles as he then begins to think of something, then snaps his fingers once he begins making modifications with a chuckle, and within a few more minutes, he smiles as he puts in the last piece of hardware with a smile. He then smiles as he reaches into his footlocker and brings out a chip, which he inserts into the circuitry with a smile and carefully welds it in place, closing up the entire weapon, before finally adding in a sight and a muzzle break with a smile. "Viola!" He then turns it to Ashley, who looks in shock, "I give you the Psalm 11:6, a Nokota D5 Copperhead with a modified heat system, in which some of the heat from the system will amplify the shots fired to set an opponent on fire. I've also added a Countermass Chip to help with recoil, an RC-7 Zaar Muzzle Break, and an E255 Percipient Scope!"

"Wow!" Ashley says, in which she then holds the weapon in her arms and begins testing out the feel with a smile on her face. "This is amazing, Commander!"

"I can add in more upgrades later, but for now, that is the best I can do."

"Thank you!" Ashley Williams says, touched with a smile on her face, in which Shepard hands her a few Thermo Clips with a smile.

"Come to me when it needs maintenance and I'll get it fixed!" Ashley nods as she takes the clips and she heads out, a smile creeping across her face. Shepard smiles as he looks at her leave, but then, he thinks about something as he decides to go meet with Doctor Chakwas, heading back to the Infirmary.

"Shepard? What is it?"

"Doctor… I need Chrome…" Shepard says.

"You surprise me, what brought this on?" Chakwas asks.

"I've got a bad feeling that I'm going to need more chrome going forward…" Shepard says, "Those Geth were creatures that I've never thought I'd face… I've faced mechanical opponents before in Night City, but those things… They were unlike anything I've faced before… Just studying their components caused me to rethink everything!" He looks down, "I need to rework some of my chrome before we get to the Citadel… And I need your help." Karin Chakwas looks at him and nods, in which Johnny Silverhand appears.

"I see you've decided to really start chippin' in… So let's look at the options." That is when Karin reveals she has a collection of Cyberware that covers pretty much the basics of everything.

"So what are you looking to change?" Karin asks.

"My Self-ICE for one… I know it saved my life during the last mission, but… And I didn't tell this to my group, but I wasn't recovering RAM Fast enough to effectively help out, there were times I had to use my Dying Night when I didn't have the RAM to do so. The fighting was too close together for me to effectively recover." V explains, "So I'm thinking I need an Ex-Disk and a Memory Boost… If we're going to be facing more Geth in the near future, I think a Mechatronic Core would also help…"

"Allow you to more effectively analyze them and then tear them apart, very wise…" Karin says, setting the cyberware aside. "Anything else?"

"I need to bump up my sights and get a grip, my Dying Night and current optics are good, but I need to put in some top tier chips if I'm going to get anything done. Not only that, I'm going to need something to help with controlling my Ricochets as well."

"I see, that means I'm going to need to add in a Balistic Coprocessor to your hands… Anything with your Mantis Blades?"

"No, I'm actually thinking of taking them out…"

"Wait what?"

"I've actually got something that will cover that from now on…" Shepard says, "I don't need the Mantis Blades anymore, at least not for a while."

"Keep them in, you never know when you'll need them." Karin insists.

"She's right you know, I don't know what you have planned, but better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it."

"Fine…" Shepard says, sighing.

"Anything else?" Karin asks.

"I was thinking of a Tyrosine Injector, for those really hard to pick gonks, and…" Shepard thinks back to the Husks, "You got a Micro-Generator?"

"Yes, why?"

"One of our enemies on the ground inspired me, and made me think it might actually come in handy in a tight spot." Shepard says, "Do you also have a Feedback Circuit?"

"Yes, but that is where we're going to stop on the selection. Anymore and you won't recover in time for your big meeting with the Council." Doctor Chakwas says.

"Fine…" Shepard says, to which, over the next day, Doctor Chakwas has Shepard in the Operating Room and he isn't seen for the rest of the day. The next morning, however, Shepard's body is extremely stiff after having been sliced, diced, and ripped apart to get those implants put in his system. "Ow…"

"Note to self, huh? No more excessive chrome implants all at once…"

"Oh shut up, Johnny…" Shepard says, not in the mood for it, but appreciates him attempting to lightening the mood a little.

"Commander?" Joker asks from his seat.

"Sorry, AI Overlord in my head…"

"Wait what!?" Joker asks.

"Eyes up front, I'll explain it later." V says, in which the Normandy is currently making it's way towards the Citadel as it comes into view.

"Oh right!" Joker says.

"Holy shit, look at the size of that ship!" Ashley says, looking towards the Ascension, a ship that Shepard thinks looks like something like the Third Generation Pokemon Sharpedo, only less intimidating.

"The Ascension, the Flagship of the Citadel Council Fleet!" Kaidan says, smiling.

"Size isn't everything you know." Joker says.

"Come again, Joker?" Ashley asks, "Why so touchy?"

"You need firepower as well as size! Or else you can't-"

"You pig-!"

"-Survive a firefight! Jessu, Gunnery Chief! Relax!"

"Don't take the Lord's name in vain, Joker, or I'll turn you into a deck of cards!" Ashley says, irritated, "Well if you look closely at that ship, it's main gun could rip through even the barriers of even the most heavily armored Alliance Ship!"

"Good thing we've been playing nice with the Citadel Council then!" Kaidan says, to which Ashley groans. Joker then smiles as he gets on the radio.

"Citadel Control, this is the SSV Normandy! Requesting Permission to Land!"

"Standby for Clearance, Normandy!" The officer at Citadel Control says, "Clearance granted, you have permission to begin your approach. Transferring you to an Alliance Operator."

"Thank you, Citadel Control, have a pleasant day!" Joker says, "Alliance Tower, this is the SSV Normandy, where do you want us to park?"

"Normandy, this is Alliance Tower, please proceed to Dock 422!"

"Roger Alliance Tower, Normandy out!" Joker says, in which Shepard nods.

"Alright People, get suited up, we've got an ambassador to speak to!" Shepard says, in which Shepard stops mid-stride as he gets a call from Tali.

"Shepard! Thank goodness I've gotten through to you! I need help now!"

"Tali? What's wrong?" Shepard asks outloud.

"I just got to the Citadel and I was trying to get to Ambassador Udina's office when I overheard the impending hearing for Saren, but the moment I got to the Presidium, a group of armed assassins started tailing me! I'm currently hiding out in a medical office in one of the Wards, and I need help!"

"Shit! Hang tight, Tali, we're on our way!" Shepard says. "Joker, get us landed and on the ground, now!"

"We're pulling in now, Commander, but what's the problem?"

"We've got a bit of help from a friendly down on the Citadel, but she's currently in danger! Gunnery Chief, Lieutenant, get yourselves armed and ready, now!" Shepard says, in which the two rush to get themselves prepared, and Captain Anderson notices them rushing.

"Shepard, what's going on?"

"It's Tali, she's being chased by armed gunmen, and I think she has evidence that might help us!" Shepard says.

"Shit! If that's true, then go help her, I'll speak with Udina and wait for you to arrive!" Captain Anderson says, to which Shepard nods and once they land, Shepard receives a message from Tali'Zorah, who gives her location. Shepard and crew then start booking it through the wards to get to the location of the Clinic that Shepard had been informed of. As soon as he arrives, Shepard hears something beyond the door, and he gives the group a signal, telling them to remain low as Shepard goes into camouflage, and the group makes their way inside.

"Wait, I didn't tell anyone, I swear!" A Woman says, begging for her life.

"Wise move, Doc. If Garrus comes around, you'll stay smart and shut up. Otherwise we will-" That is when the thugs turn to see Shepard appear out of nowhere firing his gun at two of the thugs with rapid fire barrages, gunning them down quickly. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?" The man shouts, grabbing the doctor and using her as a shield.

"Let her go!" Shepard says, glaring at him, not in the mood for his bullshit. However, a moment later, a shot rings out from around a corner and rips through the skull of the thug quickly. "Who goes there!?"

"Wait!" A Turian in blue armor says, holding his arms up! "Calm down, Commander, I'm with C-Sec!" Shepard runs his scanners over the Turian, and his database, updated by the entry into the council, identifies that he is telling the truth.

"You're… Garrus Vakarian, right?"

"One and the same!" Garrus says, to which V puts away his Dying Night.

"Sorry about that, I didn't see you when I came in!" Shepard says, "Though that was a nice shot…" Garrus flares his mandibles proudly, "You really need to work on your aim and stealth, had you been one wit below your abilities, you'd have popped the civ instead of the perp!"

"My apologies Shepard, I didn't have enough time to think things through and I reacted as best as I could!" Garrus says, apologizing. "Doctor Michel, are you alright?"

"Yes, yes, I'm fine… Thanks to you. All of you!" The Doctor says, smiling.

"I know those men had you at gunpoint, but I need you to stay focused for a moment, I'm looking for a Quarian friend of mine, female, techy, has information about something!"

"Yes, I know her! Just a few minutes ago she came to me looking to tend to her injuries! She said she had information and needed protection getting into the Presidium to meet with Councilor Udina!" Doctor Michel says, "I pointed her in the direction of Fist, an agent of the Shadow Broker and he sent them here to shut me up!"

"Do you think that Saren might have anything to do with this?" Shepard asks, looking at Garrus.

"I think so, that guy always rubbed me the wrong way, and anything he touches immediately becomes classified. The moment the accusations reached C-Sec through Alliance Channels on the Citadel, I began investigating the matter. I couldn't find any leads until I came across the fire fight with C-Sec as an armed gunman tried chasing down a Quarian." Garrus says. "Wait, do you have something to do with her?"

"Tali's an old friend of mine, her family once stayed in Night City when one of the Liveships had to be brought to Earth for Extensive Repairs. I came to answer her call for help!"

"Shit, this isn't going to end well."

"Why is that?" Doctor Michel asks.

"Fist doesn't work for the Shadow Broker anymore, Saren's got him in his pockets." Garrus says. "But that presents us with a golden opportunity, because nobody betrays the Shadow Broker and Lives, the SB sent out a hit on him that is currently trying to be picked up by a Krogan Bounty Hunter named Urdnot Wrex. If we can find him, maybe we can get some help!"

"Perfect!" Shepard says, "And once we got the information out of Fist, we can let the Bounty Hunter do his job."

"Commander, you're not serious about this, are you!?" Ashley asks.

"I'm dead serious, Williams, Tali's my oldest friend, I won't let her get gunned down by anyone if I have anything to say about it!" Shepard says.

"Well I know where Fist is hiding, I can use my C-Sec clearance to cover you if any fighting happens, right now, we need to get to Chora's Den and fast." Garrus says, to which Shepard nods, everyone rushing down towards the Gentlemen's Club as fast as they can. Shepard, for his part, sees Johnny rushing past them.

"I know what you're thinking, and all I can say is, kid, don't let them lay a hand on your girl. Turn them to swiss cheese, probably even wine, if they think about hurting her. So let's rock and roll!" Johnny Silverhand says, to which Shepard smiles as he starts seeing red, and the group make it to Chora's Entrance, where a group of assassins appear, but Shepard merely snarls, glaring at them.

"You've got one chance, leave now and live…" Shepard threatens the assassins.

"Not on your-" That is when the assassins find their hands moving on their own. "What the!? What's happening?"

"Die…" Shepard says, the men grabbing their guns and blowing their brains out.

"WHOA!" Kaidan says, in which Shepard merely strides past them, not bothering to loot them as he would usually do. "Uh oh…"

"Spirits, what was that?" Garrus asks.

"Suicide Quickhack… Shepard's not one to take the lives of others… Not unless you've really made him mad… And Suicide basically hacks into somebody and forces them to kill themselves… If Shepard is resorting to violence on this level… Then there is only one reason why…" Kaidan says… "He's pissed."

The doors to Chora's Den open and as the patrons and dancers look to Shepard, he raises his gun and fires three shots into the air, causing everyone to clear out quickly. Shepard then looks towards the remaining people in the Club, who begin to draw their guns, "URDNOT WREX! IF YOU'RE HERE, LISTEN UP! I'LL HELP YOU GET TO FIST, BUT I NEED HIM ALIVE FOR A FEW MINUTES! LET ME INTERROGATE HIM, AND HE'S YOURS ONCE I'M DONE!" That is when Krogan with a red head crest smiles as he looks at Shepard. "You with me?"

"You know, my people have a saying…" He draws his shotgun, "Seek out the enemy of your enemy, and you'll find a friend!"

"Funny, our people have a similar saying!" Shepard says, and immediately, the fire fight begins as everyone starts raining in bullets, Shepard eventually breaking down the doors leading to Fist's location, eventually leading them to a group of warehouse workers who raise their guns.

"Stop right there, don't come any closer!" One of the Workers says.

"Stay put, or we'll shoot!" However, that is when their guns begin sparking and malfunctioning. "What the?"

"This would be a very good time to find somewhere else to work…" Shepard says, trying to contain his anger, "Don't you think?"

"Y-Yeah! Come on, let's get out of here!" One of the workers says and the both run off.

"You surprise me Shepard, I'd have thought you'd kill them!" Ashley says.

"They didn't shoot us out right, so it was easier to just destroy their guns and give them the option to leave than to kill them…" Shepard says, "Every moment we waste here, is another moment Tali's life is closer to death."

"Geez…" Ashley says, under her breath as they continue on until they reach Fist's office, and Shepard disables the turrets with a glance and destroys Fist's gun, his ram finally running out after that.

"W-Wait! I surrender!" Fist says.

"Tali'Zorah nar Rayya, now!"

"Who?" Fist asks, only for Shepard to deliberately shoot at him but intentionally miss. "Gah!"

"The Quarian, or do I need to shoot you in the privates to help you remember!"

"Okay okay okay, I get it!" Fist says. "She isn't here! She said she'd only deal with the Shadow Broker Directly so that she can arrange protection into the Presidium!"

"What a load of pyjak shit! Nobody has ever seen the Shadow Broker face to face and lived! Even I was hired through an agent!" Wrex says.

"Yeah, but she doesn't know that, and when she gets there, Saren's men will be there to sing her a last Lulla-bye-bye!" Fist says, to which Shepard forces the barrel of his gun into Fist's mouth.

"Coordinates… Now…" Shepard says, in which Fist nods and transfers over the Detes, "Good… He's all yours, Wrex…" Shepard says, kicking the man in the nuts and then punching him to the ground. "Everyone else, with me!"

"Right!" Soon the group is rushing out as fast as they can with the group making their way towards the specific location, in which Shepard hurries there as fast as he can. Thankfully, his Cyber-Audio functions pick up on something that gets his attention.

"Where's the Shadow Broker, where's Fist?" A familiar voice that sounds like the sweet sound of birds chirping on a hot summer day in the countryside to his ears.

"They'll be here. Where's the evidence?" A turian voice asks.

"TALI!" Shepard shouts as he rushes into view.

"V!?" That is when two assassins come out from behind a crate, and Tali realizes what is going on. "BOSH'TET!" She then tosses a grenade and dives behind another crate that is available as Shepard jumps into the fray! The others quickly catch up as more assassins come into view, and Shepard rushes over to Tali.

"Tali, are you alright?"

"Better now that you're here!" Tali says, "Fist set me up, I knew I couldn't trust him!"

"We'll get you out of here Tali!" Shepard says, smiling at her, then hands her a Grenade, "Turian Assassin, three seconds."

"Right!" Tali says, as she takes the grenade and pulls the pin, holding down the trigger until Shepard disappears and counts to three before tossing it. The Turian, too preoccupied with the fire fight in front of him, doesn't notice the Grenade at his feet until it starts beeping, only the scream when it erupts in his face, blinding him, only for then to feel a sharp pain rip through his chest as the rest of the squad mop up the other assassins.

"Mi apprecio, amiga!" Shepard says to Tali with a wave, to which Tali gives a Quarian Thumbsup. "Tali, is your suit punctured?"

"No, thankfully the patches you helped design were able to repair the damage after I had gotten my medical treatment from Doctor Michel." Tali says, "In any case, thanks again for coming to my rescue, Shepard!" Tali then obviously begins trembling, to which Shepard takes her into his arms and rubs the back of her head.

"It's alright, Tali, you're safe now…" Shepard says, giving her a minute to calm down. "Tali, you said you had information for us?"

"Yes, I was going to present this to Councilor Udina to use as evidence during the Hearing, but Saren must've found out I had incriminating evidence and tried to have me silenced." Tali says. "I think with you around, we can safely speak with him and prepare for the hearing."

"Right, let's get back to the Presidium! Ambassador Udina will want to know about this." Everyone nods and they quickly make their way up to the Ambassador's Office, where they begin to hear Councilor Udina beginning to rant.

"THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!" Councilor Udina says, in his office. "The Council would've stepped in if the Geth had attacked a Turian Colony!"

"The Turians don't found Colonies on the Edge of the Terminus Systems, Ambassador." Councilor Valern says.

"Humanity knew the risks when they were allowed to enter the Attican Traverse." Councilor Tevos says.

"And What about Saren!? You can't just ignore a Rogue Spectre, I demand-!"

"You don't get to make demands of the Council, Ambassador." Councilor Sparatus chastises, "Especially after what C-Sec had shown us of your Commander Shepard having caused just moments ago with that firefight in Chora's Den!"

"Council!" Garrus Vakarian says, "Commander Shepard was given my clearance to engage in the fighting. They were helping me in my investigation, and… It got personal extremely quickly due to the nature of the investigation!"

"Officer Vakarian, what are you doing here?"

"It's thanks to Commander Shepard that I now have damning evidence that proves that Saren is a Traitor." Garrus explains, "However, I will not be submitting this into C-Secs files, for Saren will likely try to confiscate or destroy the evidence before we get a chance to present it to you at the hearing."

"A very fine argument, Officer Vakarian." Councilor Valern says, "If Shepard had your clearance, then we will forgive him for what happened, as it was under your watch, but should this happen again in the meantime, then we will not be so lenient!"

"I thank you, Councilor Valern, for seeing reason on the matter. We will be there to present the evidence when the hearing begins!" Garrus says, to which Councilor Sparatus snorts and the communication ends.

"You're not making my life any easier Shepard…" Ambassador Udina says, "Firefights in the wards, an all-out assault on Chora's Den… Do you know just wha-" He then notices Tali, "Wait, I know you from the security footage, you were trying to reach me a short while ago!"

"Yes, Ambassador, I'm Tali! Tali'Zorah nar Rayya…"

"Wait, as in Admiral Rael'Zorah's daughter?"

"Yes, sir, one and the same." Tali says, "I was hoping to reach you, but I was cut off by the gunners in the Presidium."

"Well it's not often we see Quarians this far away from the Alliance, what are you doing here?"

"I'm on my Pilgrimage, sir, my rite of passage into adulthood! Shepard can explain it to everyone later, but to get to the point, I was on my way to Earth to begin my Pilgrimage in Night City, I know the place well enough from my childhood, I thought it would be a good place for me to actually earn my way in one of the Tech Companies." Tali says, "However, en route to earth, my ship actually stumbled upon a Geth Patrol, which immediately set off some warning bells. Long Story Short, I managed to Isolate a Geth Unit, and managed to remove it's memory core before it managed to wipe everything clean, and I saved something that will prove crucial in the hearing!"

"I don't know what you have, but if it's crucial, then I think it would be wise for you to stay here on the Presidium… I don't know when the investigation is going to end or when the council is going to call the hearing, but if you stay here for the time being…"

"Or on the Normandy…" Shepard says.

"Yes, or there, you will be protected by your family in the Alliance. We will never let one of our own be put in harm's way if we can help it!"

"Thank you, Ambassador." Tali says, "Though, I would rather stay with Shepard, I know him better than anyone, and I think it would be safest with him."

"Agreed, Shepard knows Tali the best out of all of us, if anyone can keep her safe, it's him." Captain Anderson says. "In fact, I'll let you two share my cabin on the Normandy until we get confirmation of the hearing."

"Good idea, Captain, and we shall make sure that you all get some food in your bellies as thanks for your help." Udina says, and with this, everyone makes their way back to the Normandy, where Navigator Pressly sees Tali and welcomes her aboard the ship, though gives Garrus a hesitant look. Shepard has everyone find a place they can relax and Shepard takes Tali to where his Footlocker is located, and the two of them sit down.

"That was… Intense…" Tali says, sighing in relief.

"No kidding…" Shepard says, "To think that so much could happen in so little time…"

"Trust me, that's not the worse that could happen, ask your great grandfather."

"Johnny…" Shepard says.

"Who?" Tali asks.

"Oh Johnny Silverhand, AI that got stuck in my head when the Prothean Beacon forced it's way in."

"AI!?" Tali shouts, terrified. "Please tell me you're alright!"

"Calm down missy…" Shepard says, but V knows it's not him talking. "I'm not here to take over your boyfriend's head or anything… I've merely had my final rest interrupted thanks to the Relic's modification into the kid's genetics and that Prothean Beacon forcing me back into the Living World…"

"Wait… Shepard, why are you talking like that?"

"I'm merely taking over Shepard's voice box and motor controls to explain this to you. Just think of me as what happens to a person with Dissociative Personality Disorder, or more commonly, Split Personality Disorder." Johnny Silverhand says. "Robert John Linder, aka Johnny Silverhand, Lead Singer for Samurai, Ex-Soldier, Night City Legend, Terrorist, and the First Cyberpsycho… At your service." Tali jumps back and draws her shotgun, aiming it at Shepard.

"Give Shepard back his body now!"

"Easy there, Choom, I'm not here to take over his life… Thank his great grandfather, Vincent, for that. Truthfully, I should still be dead, but the Prothean Beacon brought me back to "life" as an Engram in your lover's head."

"Sh-Shepard isn't my lover!" Tali says, her mask fogging up at the assumption.

"Really? Could've fooled me with how Shepard was so dedicated to saving you, a-" That is when Shepard twitches his head.

"Shut up Johnny!" Shepard says, turning bright red with embarrassment, only for the engram to just begin laughing like a Hyena. "Still an Engram, how is that different from an AI?"

"Simply put, Engrams, or Organoids as some fanciful people like to call them, are the personalities and morals of a person copied and pasted into digital code that creates a construct of the person to permanently become part of the Net, while AI's have to be built entirely from scratch." Johnny Silverhand says, "My girlfriend, Alt Cunningham, figured out how to create Engrams, and later Arasaka figured out how to do so without killing the one being copied, thus ensuring the original would live on in the Net."

"Yeesh…" Shepard says and then explains everything Johnny just told him to Tali.

"Does that mean that you could essentially become immortal that way?" Tali asks.

"Yeah, but I don't know if the tech still exists or not." Johnny says, to which V passes the information to Tali.

"In any case, how are you not acting like a Cyberpsycho now?" Shepard asks.

"That's also simple, because I no longer have biological components getting screwed up by Cybernetics, I'm certified bug free, meaning I'm now back to who I was before my arm and my Sandevistan turned me Cyberpsycho!" Johnny explains.

"Okay there has got to be a better way for everyone to hear you…" Shepard says after telling Tali what Johnny says.

"I think I have an idea!" Tali says, bringing out a blueprint, "I was actually hoping you'd help me out with this, Shepard, this is the blueprints for my drone, Chatika Vas'Paus! Maybe we can create a variant for Johnny to inhabit?"

"And give me a chance to set the world on fire again? Yeah, I'm in!" Johnny says, to which Shepard explains this.

"I'll help, but only after the Hearing and we get clearance to capture or Zero Saren. Also, what rank were you in the Army?" Shepard asks.

"I was a Lieutenant Commander…" Johnny says, "So just below you in rank!"

"Okay then, I'll have to get this information to Alliance Brass, maybe they can help!" Shepard says, "That or maybe Captain Anderson can help later!"

"We can only wait to see, until then…" That is when Johnny notices something in the room, "Wait, is that?" Shepard turns around to see what Johnny is looking at. "Shit, you got some strings?"

"Yeah, I'm not too good, but I do practice in my spare time!"

"Mind if I play a bit?" Johnny asks.

"Sure!" Shepard says, to which Johnny, with V's permission takes out Shepard's guitar and then begins to playing a song with a smile on his face, but Shepard actually decides to take back his voice box and begins singing as Johnny plays:

C-can you feel it?

Can you touch it?

Get ready 'cause here we go

C-can you feel it?

Can you touch it?

Get ready 'cause here we go

My soul invaded vital force

Won't spare what I'm hunting for

It's the animal within my blood

Wouldn't stop it, if I could

Seed is sown, I'm chippin' in

Roll the bones, I'm chippin' in

Embed the code, I'm chippin' in

Mayhem flows

Not backing down

Never backing down

Not backing down

Yeah

C-can you feel it?

Can you touch it?

Get ready 'cause here we go

C-can you feel it?

Can you touch it?

Get ready 'cause here we go

Yeah

Suits run when I come undone

Can't kill me, I'm zero and one

Add justice to the people's math

Blaze your way down the rebel path

Hear my call, I'm chippin' in

Total war, I'm chippin' in

Casings fall, I'm chippin' in

Kill them all

Not backing down

Never backing down

Uh

C-can you feel it?

Can you touch it?

Get ready 'cause here we go

Yeah

Yeah

Yeah

Oh, yeah

Come on

C-can you feel it?

Can you touch it?

Get ready 'cause here we go

C-can you feel it?

Can you touch it?

Get ready 'cause here we go
