Bagheera and Baloo brought Jasmine to a place somewhere deep into the jungle. Laying the unconscious princess over a flat large rock underneath a tall tree, which kept he shaded from the sun. Bagheera laid next to her, looking down over the tigress, keeping watch over her. Awaiting the moment that she would awaken from her slumber. Baloo having gone off to get some water from the nearby watering hole.
Bagheera looked out over the jungle off to his right. All the while, he wondered what it was that was keeping Baloo so long.
"What is taking him so long? Confounded, Baloo. " Bagheera asked, curiously.
"Of all the times to be late."
The panther then uttered a sigh of disbelief. He knew something like this would happen. Baloo had been known to be quite careless in the past. He was probably somewhere napping or had come across another hive of bees. There was nothing a bear could no resist the sweetness of honey.
"I knew I should have just gone myself. That bear is always thinking with his stomach." Bagheera said, shaking his head.
It was then he heard another another soft moan from the Tigress. Bagheera gazed down over the princess, worryingly. It had already been some time since they had found her at the river. And yet still, she had not awaken from her sleep. She looked quite exhausted.
What had happened to her? Why was she there to begin with?
Bagheera suddenly heard her spoke within her slumber.
"Father..." She said.
Bagheera squinted at the tigress, curiously. It was a surprise when she saw the tigress come up next to him, snuggling against the panther. Causing Bagheera to stand up for a moment. Unsure of what to do at this moment.
"Father...? But I'm not..." Bagheera said, suddenly having the Tigress snuggle against him.
"Father..." she moaned.
The tigress continued to snuggle against him, uttering a soft moan. Bagheera at first wished to obey his first instinct and move away from out of the tigresses sudden affection toward him. But it was the tigress's smile, laying against his soft black fur, Bagheera couldn't help but find it rather strangely endearing. Seeing her laying against him like a little cub with it's mother.
Bagheera smiled. Finally giving in to the Tigresses whims.
"Oh... very well..." He said, allowing the tigress to snuggle into his fur.
"Father..." She continued to moan.
Them sound of rustling foliage had gotten the attention of the Panther. Bagheera then turned, where he saw Baloo come running from the jungle. Carrying in his paws a large leaf which had water from the lagoon.
"Hey, I'm here... I got the water." Baloo said, sounding as though he was out of breath.
"Baloo, good grace, where have you been?" Bagheera asked, curiously.
Baloo paused, his eyes shifting from side to side as he tried to think of an excuse.
"Oh... uh... I was... you see..." Baloo said, raising a claw to him.
"I was on my way with the water... but then these jackals suddenly came out of nowhere asking for trouble. But I gave them some good old bear fighting."
Baloo formed his paws into fists, where he proceeded to mimicked a few boxing punches. Only for Bagheera to stare in utter disbelief at the bear. He believed not a word of it. Especially with the honey which covered his muzzle.
"You found another bee hive, didn't you?" Bagheera asked, curiously,
Baloo shook his head.
"What, no, no. What gave you that idea?" Baloo asked, crossing his arms.
"Baloo." Bagheera said, raising an eye brow to him.
Baloo frowned, sighing in defeat.
"Sorry, Baghie... I just can't turn down perfectly good honey." Baloo insisted to him.
Bagheera rolled his eyes to him. Though he was hardly surprised.
"Baloo, now is not the time for you to think of your stomach." Bagheera proclaimed to him.
Baloo shifted his glanced to the tigress, who was laying next to Bagheera. Seeing her snuggle against his soft black fur. Baloo leaned to the side for a better view of her. He couldn't help but smile in awe.
"Awe, look at that. Someone has gotten comfortable." Baloo said, smiling.
Bagheera glanced down at the Tigress, who moaned in her sleep.
"Raksha... Aria..." She moaned.
The two shifted their gaze back down at the Tigress, curiously.
"Raksha?" Baloo said.
"Aria?" Bagheera said.
"What's she moaning about?" Baloo asked, glancing up at Bagheera.
"I cannot say. But I believe they are her family." Bagheera proclaimed, turning up to him.
"I heard her say Father. So it must be her family she's saying."
"Think somethings happened to them?" Baloo asked, curiously.
Bagheera shook his head.
"I'm not sure. I'm afraid we won't know until she wakes up." He insisted, glancing down at the Tigress.
"However long that may take."
The two sisters slept together against several old soft pillows they had taken from the palace. When suddenly they awoke to the sound of the palace horns from off in the distance. Raksha suddenly came wake at the sound of the horn. She then leaned up, turning back to the curtain that covered the view of the palace. She had recognized that horn as the one usually sounded whenever the Maharajah wished to address his subjects.
Raksha got back up and rushed over to the curtains, pushing them aside. It was there she was greeted by the morning light, shining over the city of Agrabah. But it was to be a day of darkness for the kingdom. As the people would soon to come to realize that their beloved Maharaja was overthrown by his most trusted advisor, Jafar.
Aria leaned up from the pillows, turning back to her sister, curiously.
"Raksha, what's going on?" Aria asked, turning to her.
Raksha turned back to Aria.
"Jafar is about to make his first decree as the new Maharajah." Raksha proclaimed to her.
Aria stood up as she came up next to her sister. It was there the two sisters stared out toward the palace. Faced with what they could only assume was the very beginning of these long feared dark times. The people would soon come to learn the dark truth. That their beloved ruler no longer resides over the throne. And that they would now come under the rule of the tyrannical sorceress.
Raksha turned to her sister.
"Come, we must go." She said.
"Go...Go, where?" Aria asked, curiously.
"To listen..." Raksha proclaimed to her.
The people of Agrabah gathered at the very gates of the palace. Awaiting the moment the Maharajah would emerge from the balcony above and address his beloved subjects. It was among the crowd, Raksha and Aria made their way through the crowd of thousands. The princesses forced to conceal themselves from the sight of their beloved people, covering themselves in the robs.
Raksha then paused, holding out her hand to her sister.
"Stop..." Raksha whispered to her.
Aria turned to her sister.
"What is it?" Aria said.
Raksha gesturing her head toward the gates. It was there they saw the Royal Guards, standing guard before the palace entrance. The very guards who were loyal to their family for many generation. Now serving the very man who had overthrown the true ruler of Agrabah. An act that broke her heart and enraged the princess beyond words.
How could they serve Jafar after the crimes he had committed against the royal family?
The Princess stared at them for the longest time in awe and disgraced. But as she did, she noticed the blank stare atop their faces. A look she was quite familiar with as it was the one they would often express. Yet as her eyes met theirs, she noticed there was a strange re glow within their eyes. One she had never before noticed before. But could only guess that it was Jafar behind it all.
"Rozaul?" Aria said.
Aria attempted to approach the guards. Only to be held back to her sister, who shook her head to her. They couldn't count on their help against the wicked sorcerer who stole No matter how loyal the Guards were to their family, they could not count on their help against Jafar.
"No, Aria. Something is wrong." Rasksha insisted to her.
"We cannot trust them."
Aria squinted her eyes to her sister.
It was the sounds of the palace horns from above, signifying the appearance of the Maharajah, which caused the princesses to shifted their gaze to the balcony above. The people of Agrabah each gazed above at the palace beyond the wall itself. It was there that the curtains which concealed the entrance to the balcony, revealing the figure, standing within the shadows that concealed them from sight.
They then stepped out into the light, coming to reveal themselves to the crowd outside. And was met with the people surprised gasps and looks of awe to see that it was not their beloved ruler that they saw. But rather, it was the Maharajah's most trusted advisor. Wearing the very robs of the Maharajah and standing in his very place.
Much talk erupted amongst the crowd. Looking to each other in awe and confusion. Many of them questioned as to why it was Jafar who was dressed as the Maharajah. And where the Maharajah was. That was all expect for the two sisters.
The appearance of Jafar was met with a look of anger and resentment by Raksha and Aria. At the man who had stolen the throne from the ones who were rightfully owed such an honor. It was then that Jafar raised up his right hand as he began to address the people.
"People of Agrabah, today marks the beginning of a New Era. But has come at a... great cost." Jafar proclaimed though mockingly.
"The Royal family has been killed by assassins sent by the Kingdom of Sheraba!"
The people erupted in gasps of shock and awe. The very notion someone would assassinate the royal family was outrageous. Much less from the Kingdom of Sheraba. The Kingdom where the former queen had come. No such would ever believe such a betrayal would ever come from them. Though Raksha and Aria saw through the lies of Jafar. Who stared in raged at his proclamation their family had been assassinated. By the home of their mother no less.
But dared not speak out at this time.
"Such a tragedy this much be for all of you as it is for me. It was such a honor to have severed the royal family in these many years." Jafar proclaimed to them.
"But with the loss of the Princesses, Agrabah future is in grave peril. That is why, the Maharajah has chosen me to assume the throne. And I can assure you, the Kingdom of Sheraba shall pay for the crimes against the royal family and against Agrabah. This I promise you!"
Raksha continued to stared up at Jafar in disgust. Uttering in a small whisper to curse Jafar for his deceit against the people.
"Yet despite this... sorrowful loss... I promise you all, A grand future awaits for Agrabah!" Jafar continued his deceiving declaration.
"As I had promised the Maharajah himself, I shall rule Agrabah with an even mightier hand!"
