Hey everyone, I'm back for now. The end of this chapter will surprise you but it was an idea that I got when watching a review someone did of my story on YouTube. I'll give the name of the person who revied at the end of the chapter.
Onto the Reviews.
skylorbaker14 chapter 24. Aug 17
This chapter really sweet, but I kinda wonder what consequences this may have. I worry for Lily's safety when James and Dumbledor the stinky find out. What if they use love potions or nasty spells to try to control her? There's also the worry of James deciding he wants to force himself on Lily after seeing how she's back to normal (sorry if that worry is a little far for your type of stories, I have just seen things akin to that happen in a few stories before). I do wonder if Snape will switch sides once he finds out his obsession has switched teams.
Me: Don't worry, Ember works on keeping her mom safe in this chapter. She'll be kept safe from James and Dumbledore. I'm not sure if Snape will be able to switch or not, Lily wouldn't want him around anyway after hearing how he treats her children.
Hikari Nova chapter 24 . Aug 17
*rolls around cackling like a hyena on crack* something tells me that the next chapter is going be very amusing for us readers along with ember her and her family and allies and VERY bad for dumbles and James and their allies
Me: I hope this chapter lived up to your hopes XD.
Onto the story now.
"Dumbledore, no you don't understand. According to Damien, Lily got a letter from Gringotts and now she's missing, you have to do something!" A man with mossy brown hair yelled at an older man with long white hair.
The man with the Mossy brown hair was James Charlus Potter, the father of Damien Potter, the Boy-who-lived. He was also the biological father of Ember Ravenclaw and kept trying to get custody of her back. He didn't really care for her, he just wanted to get his hands on the Ravenclaw fortune.
The man with the long white hair was Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Everyone saw him as a grandfather figure but he was a master manipulator. He wanted to be known as the greatest wizard since Merlin. He was currently trying to calm James down.
"My boy, I understand you are worried but everything will be fine you'll see." Dumbledore said while popping a lemon drop in his mouth. In truth, he was a bit concerned as well. Why would the Goblins contact Lily and not James, what could they need with the poor girl?
"But sir, Lily knows that if there's a letter from Gringotts she's supposed to come and get me and I'll take care of it. I'm in charge of our money, not her," James spoke up looking worried.
"Why would she not listen to me this time?" He mumbled looking furious.
There was a moment of silence before a flash of light blinded both wizards in the room. After it went away it still took them both a few moments to regain their eyesight back. There was a letter floating in front of him.
"Let me check and make sure there are no charms on it my boy." Dumbledore said while pulling his wand out and waving it over the letter. He frowned as he got back the results, there was nothing on the letter except for the charm making it float and faint traces of a spell that would teleport the letter to the one receiving it.
"It is fine to pick up, there is nothing on it but the charm making it float," Dumbledore said, nodding to James to pick up the letter.
James frowned at the innocently looking piece of parchment before he plucked it out of the air and opened it. Reading it he slowly got more and more angry before shoving it into the headmaster's hands. "THAT BITCH HOW DARE SHE!"
Albus didn't want to admit it but James' screaming had startled him, he looked down at the letter baffled before starting to read it himself to find out what made James so angry.
He was shocked at what he read.
Dear James Charlus Potter,
We here at Gringotts are writing to inform you that as of today, you are no longer Married to the woman who was known as Lily Maria Potter. Her new head of house demands that Lily Maria now shares 50/50 custody with you. You shall have to work out the details between the two of you at another date.
You are not to approach Lily Maria at this point in time. Her new head of house is going to be acquiring a new bodyguard for the young woman.
Gringotts Bank,
Albus was shocked, how could Lily divorce James? He had written their marriage contract himself, there should have been no way they could divorce unless James willingly wanted to.
The only other way would be if the head of one of their families decided that the marriage wasn't working out and therefore declared that the marriage contract was no longer valid and that they would be divorced.
Wait, the letter mentioned that Lily had a new head of her family. His eyes narrowed as he finally fit the pieces of the puzzle together. There was only one person who could have done this.
Ember Ravenclaw.
~At Slytherin Manor~
Ember was currently giving her mom a tour of Slytherin Manor, she even gave her a room not far from her own. She couldn't believe she had her mom back, the mom she remembered from before that Halloween night, thinking back she remembered that her mom did try to be there after that night as well but that slowly stopped after several months.
"Ember, what if James and Dumbledore try to get to me to get to you?" Lily asked a question that had been bothering her since they arrived at the house.
To her surprise, her daughter already had an answer for that, "Don't worry mom, you'll be getting your own bodyguard soon."
"Who are you going to hire?" Lily asked, surprised but knew she shouldn't be. She was a bit confused when her daughter got a sheepish look on her face.
"Mom, there's something I should probably tell you before we continue but I need a magically binding oath that you won't say anything to anyone that doesn't already know without my permission," Ember spoke in a serious tone. If anyone found out about her and her gems then the three of them would be kidnapped and experimented on in the Department of Mysteries in the ministry.
"How big is this secret?" Lily was shocked, just what has her daughter been getting up to these last several years?
"Big enough that if anyone finds out, I could be taken away." Ember looked at her mom, pleading for her to take the oath.
Lily looked down at her daughter's face and wondered what she should do. If she took this oath she could lose her magic if she slipped up, but didn't she owe her little girl at least this much after not being able to protect her for so long?
Stealing her nerves she raised her wand and took an oath swearing to never talk about what Ember was about to tell her unless it was to someone who already knew or she was given permission by Ember to.
Ember was pleasantly surprised that her mom actually took the oath. It seems like she wanted to make up for everything even if she wasn't completely at fault for what had happened in her life.
She led her mom to the library and started explaining her story of what had happened to her since her birthday all those years ago.
She explained what Pearl and Jasper were, she also explained that she had made them herself so technically the two Gems were Lily's grandchildren. Her mom got a weird look on her face when hearing that little tidbit of information.
"I'll let you three get to know each other while I go make Mom's bodyguard. It'll probably take a day for the gem to settle but I still need to make the concoction for the Gem to form." Ember said as she left the room. She hoped that Pearl and Jasper didn't kill her mom, that would suck.
She walked down to her potions room and got out the molds she had of different cut gems. She pondered which one she should make before she grabbed the book on different gems and started reading.
She perked up when she found the right gem and started to work, she made sure to double-check the recipe several times. She might have already done this twice but that didn't mean she was an expert yet.
After she finished the potion she carefully poured it into the mold she had chosen and then sat down in the comfy chair she kept in her potions room. Today had been a long day and she was tired, she didn't mean to but soon enough she fell asleep and was dozing on the chair.
For Ember, it felt like she had just blinked, one moment she was closing her eyes in her potions room and the second she was opening them while standing in the middle of a white void.
She was understandably confused, this reminded her of her dream where she met Fiona, the caretaker of the Library where she got the book on gems. Fiona was also the one to give Ember the shard of the green diamond that she now held proudly in the middle of her chest.
Ember turned around when there was a cough from behind her and froze at what she was seeing. Four women were standing before her, they each looked different from the other, the only three things they shared were that they were all tall, they all gave off an air of importance, and most importantly, they each had what looked like a diamond embedded into them somewhere.
Ember's eyes zeroed in on the pink one. She had bright pink bubblegum-colored skin, deep pink eyes with diamond-shaped pupils, and pale pink hair. Her hair was a lighter pink than her skin and it was styled in a voluminous, fluffy bob around her face, framing it perfectly.
Her lips were a bright hot pink that looked like lipstick but when Ember looked closer realized that it was this gem's natural lip color. Her gemstone was located on her torso where a belly button would normally be and appeared in the shape of a convex pentagon. She seemed to be around six feet tall and yet she wasn't the tallest of the four gems she was seeing.
The Pink Gem wore a pink half-skirted leotard, it displayed her midriff and conveniently her gem in a pentagon-shaped opening. The leotard had pink and white puffy sleeves and she wore elbow-length gloves, the same shade of pink as her leotard.
Her half skirt was a lighter pink with white edges sitting atop some pink puffy shorts. She was wearing white tights and sitting on her feet were pink ballet slippers with floating white pom-poms. Ember wondered if this Gem enjoyed ballet dancing.
Ember glanced at the yellow gem next.
This gem's skin was light yellow but she had strange black markings around her eyes which she placed dark yellow eyeshadow above. Her eyes were bright yellow with diamond-shaped pupils and black eyebrows. Her hair was short and looked more like a helmet with two spiked tips than actual hair. Her gem was located in the center of her chest, just like Ember's was. She looked like she was seven feet tall, taller than the pink Gem by at least a foot.
She was wearing a dark yellow and olive bodysuit that she covered with a yellow coat. The coat had the biggest shoulder pads that Ember had ever seen, it also had a cutout for her gemstone. She had on a pair of yellow gloves and olive-yellow, high-heeled boots. Looking behind her, Ember could see that the coat was a tailcoat that split in the middle.
Looking at the third gem now, she was surprised to see that she was hunching slightly, making it so Ember couldn't see how tall she was, but she guessed the blue gem was as tall as the yellow one.
Her skin was a darker blue, Ember didn't know the exact shade. The blue gem had long, straight blue hair which curled inwards at the ends near her face, her hair was lighter than her skin.
Ember was curious when she noticed that this gem's hair was different from any hair she had ever seen before. In her hair, two lengths separate from the main body behind the back and physically connect on her chest, just below her gem. Ember had honestly believed that she was wearing a shawl at first.
She had a long ovoid face with a full upper lip and a straight nose. Her eyes were large, downward slanting with bold mascara on the lower lashes. Ember thought her eyes looked sad. Her irises were cyan with black diamond-shaped pupils, her eyebrows were thin and arching.
Her gemstone was on her chest just like the yellow gem and Ember herself. She was wearing a long, navy blue cloak that was touching the ground. Underneath the upper part of her cloak, Ember could see a navy blue hood.
Ember turned to the last gem there. This gem was taller than the other three, she looked about eight or nine feet to Ember. She towered over the small child.
Her skin was white, not a pale white no, it was the whitest it could be. Her hair was the same shade of white and it was styled into a shape similar to a star pentagram giving her a unique look.
Her eyes were white as well, and her pupils were diamond-shaped but instead of black, they were a light gray. She had large and full black eyelashes with light gray eyeshadow above them. Above her eyes were gray eyebrows.
Her fingers looked like they had been painted black and her lips looked the same. Her gem was in the middle of her forehead and it was radiating bright light, thankfully it wasn't bright enough to blind Ember when she looked at it.
She was wearing a long transparent white dress that reached the floor, the dress had a slit on both sides that reached to her thighs. She had on a white and gray leotard with shoulder pads, the shoulder pads weren't as big as the other gems but they were still big. She was wearing a translucent cape with black and gray stripes, it had glitter sparkling all over it in star designs. She was wearing a pair of high-heeled dress sandals.
Ember noticed that her toenails were painted black as well.
She was brought out of her thoughts when the Yellow Gem spoke.
"Just who are you?" The yellow gem's eyes were narrowed and she looked hostile, how would Ember get out of this?
Okay quick AN here, Yes those are the diamonds, no they are not alive. This is taking place in her mind, the diamonds are still dead and gone but after I heard some ideas in the YouTube review someone did of this story I just had to add this since it gave me so many ideas.
